#also the complete difference in vibes between the two scenes given
Text
Let's play a game: is it possible for Kenna to make it through a fic series without dropping the word chiaroscuro because she got caught up in the play of light and dark in a scene and her art history minor got the better of her?
Let's see our two most recent case studies, shall we?
Doctor Who:
Jane Pond looks at Amy Williams and understands why civilizations since the dawn of time have looked at the stars and preserved them in art.
Amy Williams is a study in contrast and chiaroscuro, royal-blue-painted nails and titian red hair and flickering gray eyes and a black dress with a pineapple print, a black leather jacket draped over it all.
How could you look at someone like that and not be tempted to name the stars after them?
Dead Boy Detectives:
The Cat King is not the pitying type, but there is something about this bird that is determined to make him feel new things, plenty of them less-than-positive.
There has to be something he can do in order to correct things this time. There has to be something he can do to stop this from happening again.
The Cat King crouches down in the snow settling irritatingly bright and cold against his black coat. The former crow looks wretched against the snowy backdrop, the distant lights from the parking lot turning his face into a tragically perfect example of chiaroscuro.
Nope. Mission Failed. Fuck me and the art history minor I only ever get to use in fanfic.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm actually quite proud of Armand right now. Openly admitting to Amalia the reason their relationship was always strained was because he'd always been jealous of her and her relationship with their father is such a great character moment for him.
One thing season 4 is definitely delivering is some much needed depth and exploration of the Sadida Royal family. And I find myself fascinated (not only because Amalia is my favourite character and I have a soft spot for her people).
Personally, Armand is a character I have a lot of trouble having a clear stance on. I don't hate him, and it's true his motives become clear and even understandable once you give them some thought, it's just that Ankama does a wonderful job at making him both outwardly dislikable given his abrasive personality and some of his most questionable actions.
For example, season 3 Armand and season 4 Armand are almost like night and day. Maybe it is indeed that his new role as king has forced him to be more responsible and emotionally mature, but the vibes between L'assamblée and Falling Down are completely different.
Tumblr media
In season 3 he just oozed contempt for his sister, and his actions towards her reeked of ulterior motives. The fact that Aurora has been described as manipulative (even her hairstyle is meant to hint at her true nature) and was purposely placed in between the two siblings as a visual nod to how she's keeping them apart doesn't help matters.
Which is another factor to take into account: Aurora's character and the role she plays in the siblings' deteriorating bond.
Even if so far she seems to genuinely love Armand, I really can't bring myself to trust Aurora. Not only because of all the behind-the-scenes facts I already mentioned, but because her actions are just sketchy and clearly veered to the betterment of the Osamodas rather than the Sadida.
Tumblr media
First of all, her contempt for Amalia is genuine and she legitimately seems to be planning to send her away to keep her from interfering with her plans. After all, this is literally what she had to say about her sister-in-law:
"Ne vous en faîtes pas mon prince, nous finirons bien par redresser cette mauvaise herbe."
Translation: "Don't worry, my prince, we'll get this weed straightened out in the end."
(I haven't watched the English dub, so my apologies if the translation doesn't match the official version).
There's also the fact that, despite being the new Sadida Queen, her intentions in season 3 clearly laid in the benefit of her own kingdom, the Osamodas. Such is reflected in her choice of suitors for Amalia:
Tumblr media
She intended for Amalia to marry Ashdur, her own cousin, thus, strengthening the Osamodas' hold over Sadida politics. In fact, it becomes quite clear Aurora's choice in suitors, only supported by Amalia implying back then her sister-in-law had already tried the same thing with her brothers, was much less about the future of the Sadida Kingdom and more about the Osamodas' sake.
After all, while arranged marriages between royal families isn't anything new, usually the sensible and even most strategic thing to do is for rulers to"spread" their children and marry them into different families around the world. That is exactly what Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabela of Castile did with their own children, they married them off to the royal families of England, Portugal, and Austria.
With that in mind, having both Sheran Sharm children marry Osamodas royalty just seems dumb, doesn't it? It all comes to show Aurora is more concerned over solidifying her power over the Sadida Kingdom than its actual well-being.
Which is why I'm still going to keep my guard up regarding her character until the season ends. After all, we still have 9 more episodes where everything can go up in flames.
But going back to Armand, even though he is in love with his wife, his treatment of Amalia in L'assamblée is leagues better than it was in season 3. Unlike most of his appearances and his interactions with his sister, where he kept treating her like a child who didn't know any better (what she just so happened to accuse him of when presented with Ashtur, as a matter of fact), here not only does he finally open up to his sister about his insecurities and his reasoning for his behaviour towards her, but he offers her support in the wake of their father's passing and even invites her to attend the assembly with him.
He is entrusting her with responsibilities befitting a queen, not a child.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their relationship is finally healing.
As I said earlier, despite the undeniable depth behind his character, it's difficult to really side with Armand in plenty of occasions. Not only because of his difficult personality and flaws, but because it is so much easier to sympathise with Amalia.
And I'm not talking exclusively about the fact that, as one of the main characters, we've been by her side throughout everything, witnessing her true selfless, responsible, and brave self, but the fact that her position within her own family certainly tugs at our heartstrings.
Amalia is the youngest sibling, the princess. For all the sheltering and privileges that can get her, it also became her gilded cage. And for the most part, not even her family was a safe haven.
Tumblr media
Queen Sheran Sharm died when Amalia was probably still a kid, whereas Armand was most likely already a teenager. As King Oakheart revealed back when he explained to Amalia it had been Armand who insisted they let her go, the queen's death shook their entire family, making the king and prince unintentionally turn their backs on Amalia during a time she needed as much affection as possible. And so, her royal duties became stifling, her royal upbringing unbearable. Thus is the reason for her wanderlust.
And then we have Armand's reason for not always being fair to her: jealousy. He resented her for being Oakheart's favourite, despite constantly going off to adventures while he remained in the kingdom by his side. Now, as I said, this was a great character moment for Armand, one that also belies his character development. However, it doesn't change the fact that, while easier to relate and sympathise with him, we still sympathise with Amalia more or have been doing so for far longer because we knew the effect this had had on her.
We all have been someone's scapegoat to their frustrations with a third person, we have all been treated unfairly by someone who, for whatever reason, couldn't solve their own issues with the person they had problems with in the first place and took it out on us. This is the crux of Armand and Amalia's strained relationship: for years, Armand took his frustrations and insecurities out on Amalia instead of having an honest conversation with their father.
That's why it's easier to sympathise with Amalia, because we know that, deep down, for all her flaws, she was never at fault for how their relationship turned out. Because we can understand her frustration and pain when, even with their dying father, Armand still chose to listen to his wife over her and try to marry her off instead of being there for each other when they both needed most. As Amalia called him out for before leaving with Yugo, he still chose politics over family. Everything involving Armand and Aurora is about politics.
Tumblr media
But now that they are at least beginning to rebuild their relationship, I sincerely hope things get better for them. Unless their original intentions back in 2017 have changed, I seriously fear Ankama will still use Aurora to complicate things further between these two.
Please, Ankama, I'm literally begging you. They're all the family they each have left, don't let their relationship be ruined forever.

TsukuTabe S2 Is Perfection
I’ve been waffling about what to write about Tsukuritai Onna to Tabetai Onna s2, which completed last week (and which we have access to at all thanks to the hard work of @furritsubs). I have had to just give up on getting across how much this show means to me; there's no way I'll be able to communicate these feelings with words. Season 1 was excellent but Season 2 was everything I wanted and more that I didn't know I needed. This is going to be more disjointed than usual because I don't know how to be coherent about this show (and because tumblr ate my first two attempts).
Tumblr media
At its core, Tsukuritai Onna to Tabtetai Onna asks what if we were all just a little bit more conscientious and kind to one another? What if women were given space to be themselves and to make the choices that were best for them? This is the world of TsukuTabe, and I'm so grateful to have had the chance to inhabit it over these last four weeks.
Tumblr media
I have so much love for the way Nomoto and Kasuga develop their relationship in conjunction with their relationships with the other women in their lives. Nagumo, Sayama, and Yako are integral to the success of Nomoto and Kasuga’s relationship, and they're also important relationships for the happiness of Nomoto and Kasuga in their own right. The found family vibes are immaculate.
Tumblr media
The conflict between Kasuga and Nomoto this season was so perfectly them; the way they struggled with the transition from friends to lovers and being two people who are kind and giving in a relationship together and how that requires honesty and trust were both familiar conflicts that hit me hard in the feels.
Kasuga's conflict with her family also hit me really hard. I once did the wrong thing and showed up to support my family in caring for someone who abused me, and it was a horrible experience that was ruinous to my mental health and took years to get over (and in the end they had to find a different solution anyway, which they could have done in the first place). Watching Kasuga refuse to make a similar decision, standing strong in the face of the social pressures of her parents and her aunt was so healing for me. And then to have her decision affirmed by someone of her parent's age? I sobbed in those scenes.
Tumblr media
I also loved the way this season handled Nagumo’s anxiety issues and how she was given space to decide to get professional help on her own time and terms. The way her parents tried to help was also very familiar to me and realistic, and it was just a little heartbreaking how they tried and didn't understand how their attempts at helping added pressure in a way that wasn't helpful.
The way this show covers this important beats in a person's life through these small, everyday moments, and in such a gentle way, is what I love so much about it. The show itself makes a safe space so that these subjects can come up and not feel overwhelming.
And it's also really important to me that all of the characters get to have these moments. Sakae not only reflects on her insensitivity and the unfairness of Japan not having marriage equality, but she also reflects on the pressures on her to marry and whether she actually wants that for herself. Fujita not only helps Kasuga gain proxy acceptance for her choices but gets the same back for herself around her decision to divorce. All of these women live in ways that invoke social stigma, and the way this show gives explicit permission to these women to live their best lives is both cathartic and critical.
Tumblr media
I can't end this disjointed ramble without talking about the character I most identified with this season, Yako. Yako is an older, self-actualized asexual lesbian who makes friends with Nomoto on the Internet, recommends lesbian films to her, and mostly listens and affirms as Nomoto goes through her own process of discovering herself. I ran a GSA and have been on the Internet a long time, I've been in Yako’s position a lot (though I can only aspire to be as kind and wise). She is so patient and so genuinely happy for Nomoto when she and Kasuga get together, and she seems so quietly thrilled to have more wonderful people in her life willing to indulge her random party ideas. Her sharing a connection to a LGBTQ+-friendly real estate agency while being angry on their behalf that she even has to was perfection.
Tumblr media
It's so important that these characters say the things they say aloud. I want to inscribe every sentence of this show into everyone's brains. This show is perfect, and lovely, and a warm bath, and a hug, and a cup of your favourite warm beverage perfectly fixed to your liking all in one. If you haven't done yourself the favour of watching yet, I highly recommend that you do so immediately.
Tumblr media

Hey @oblivionsdream !
I have 2 questions - bear with me…
As you know, I love your work, but have only just recently started actively engaging with it.
I actually first came across you and your Jester x knight OC’s at least a year or two ago, when a fellow DinLuke shipper tagged it with #dinluke, so it showed up on my feed. If you aren’t into Star Wars and are unfamiliar with it - that’s the romantic pairing between Din Djarin (the Mandalorian) and Luke Skywalker.
For a while, I actually thought that it was a medieval DinLuke au because there are quite a few fanarts exploring that ship in different universes (including ours) and different timelines, etc.
One of the things that lent credence to this idea was the fact that the king looks so much like the Jedi, Quinlan Vos.
The characters do also closely match the personalities that a lot of the fandom have collectively given Din and Luke on tumblr - like Luke actually being a feral mischievous gremlin underneath his serene Jedi facade, and Din actually being the more composed (and often lovingly exasperated) of the two.
It was a surprise when I looked more into it and realised that they are original characters, completely unrelated to DinLuke and Star Wars as a whole.
So I guess I’m just curious what was the inspiration behind the Jingly Menace and his steadfast, taciturn knight? Was it a song or a meme or just watching a medieval show and during a scene with a jester, you had a sudden burst of creative juices like “Eureka! Pretty jester x hot knight!”
Sorry if you’ve already answered this and I’ve just missed it while scrolling through your page.
My other question (this I know has been queried to JM himself but he nervously evaded the question) when JM is shown crying in one of the first pictures you posted of him, what was the actual reason that you had in mind behind it? Was it just simply because his attempts to get the hot mysterious knights attention had thus far been unsuccessful (from his perspective anyway) and he succumbed to a private moment of vulnerability?
Every time I look at it, I’m dying to know!
Anyway, love you! Hope the JM comic is still on the horizon at some point - coz I would buy and read the crap out of it!
Hey there!
I honestly had no idea what DinLuke is though I've seen the tags. My knowledge of Star Wars comes from whatever I have absorbed against my will being online and when my best friend made me watch the prequels a few years ago 😂
So Jester solely came to be because I've loved jesters for many years at this point. I just find them fun but there's never enough content for them out there so I just wanted to make my own oc. I also just love trickster characters- anything fae like or I always adored Loki in Norse mythology so he's very based into those kind of mischievous vibes and humor.
Augustine was purely accidental. I saw some Tumblr post about a knight or maybe it was about a jester and a knight (I no longer remember) so I thought it would be funny to doodle Jester with a random knight being a menace asking him about his big sword. Augustine was never supposed to be a character. But then I just kept coming up with other ideas for Jester and this random knight whose face he never saw and whelp here we are.
Soooo the crying. It was definitely a private moment no one else was supposed to witness. Part of something I find interesting with playing with Jester's character is the idea that sometimes the seemingly happiest and funniest people are also the saddest but they just cover it up with a smile. His backstory before coming to the castle is still something that affects him but also he feels lonely at court. He constantly craves the validation of attention he didnt really get as a kid and is constantly surrounded by people but also he feels very lonely in court. He is in a strange place of being neither noble but also not quite a commoner/servant. Nobility will look down on him and not take him serious because he's just a silly guy but the servants are wary to get too close because of his close relationship with the king and the fact that he technically has a higher status as Court Jester. He is one of Monty's closest confidantes but his own secrets keep him from being fully honest with his king. It's a strange place of feeling alone in the middle of a crowded court where everyone sees his silly jester persona and make up but no one sees beneath it.
I still hope to make a comic! Just trying to find the time to get all my ideas in order. Thanks for liking my silly guys!

Bad Batch Season 3 Episode Title Predictions
Okay, so I've poked at the trailer enough that I think I can do a series of predictions that is likely to topple like a house of cards immediately but hey what else is this month of waiting for? Here is my very rough outline of what I'd love to see in season 3 based on nothing but the trailer and Vibes.
Episodes 1-3, "Confined" "Paths Unknown" & "Shadows of Tantiss"
These three seem pretty obvious, we'll likely catch up with Omega and Crosshair first in Confined, which is likely where we'll see these clips from the trailer:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As well as probably the (SAD AS HELL) discussion between Omega and Crosshair shown in the Celebrations trailer. Mix their scenes in with catching up on Hunter, Wrecker, & Echo - I'm actually really attached to the idea that Echo is searching for Tech, having not given up on him. This also parallels to Omega talking to Crosshair, about not giving up - I think that's going to be a theme this season. Can't run away, can't give up. But if Echo is searching for Tech then it might just be Hunter and Wrecker right now, likely giving us a few of their action shots together.
I do think that Omega and Crosshair's escape attempt is going to be relatively early in the season - either at the end of Paths Unknown or the very beginning of Shadows of Tantiss. I went into it more in this post and paired up a few shots of Tantiss' defense systems as well as the crashed ship with Omega and Crosshair. From the look of it, they likely don't make it off planet due to the damage and crash land and have to try to escape and, in the process, are split up and lose each other. Possibly they are able to contact the batch, who are on the way to try and get them when things go wrong.
My guess is that by the end of this three parter we'll have Crosshair reunited with the batch, or about to be, Omega on her own trying to evade Hemlock and his men, and somewhere along the line our reveal that Tech is alive because at this point I can't see them not aiming at a comeback with how hard they're trying to keep his 'death' on all our minds.
Episode 4 - "A Different Approach"
If Crosshair didn't meet up with the batch by the end of the previous three, then probably he does it here, I just get the sense that he's been gone for so long that we need to get him zipped up with the others early in the season, especially since we'll have several reunions to get to by the end of the series.
With Omega still separated but hopefully out of Tantiss at this point, they have to adjust how they plan to find her. She's now a moving target, because she's on the run still and likely unable to contact them. Echo will meet back up with them here, I think, maybe with info on wherever Tech is (my prediction: still on Eriadu in some fashion, either held with the good old pirates & smugglers or possibly by Tarkin himself, but I'm hoping the pirates & smugglers) and Rex will likely come too. I do think that they have their exchange about losing brothers here but rather than being about Tech, as the trailer implied, it's about Nemec or Fireball (or both) who possibly died getting the information. I just feel like those two are not long for this world, unfortunately.
We'll also follow Omega here, now completely alone for the first time. Previously she always had the batch, then she at the very least had Crosshair. Now she has neither and she has to try and figure out what to do. The title does dual work here, both the batch and Omega have to find a different approach in order to try and reunite.
Episode 5 - "The Return"
I feel like this is going to be a mostly Omega centered episode. Where is she returning to is the question, I still think that this refers to a place rather than a person returning. Pet theory - Cid put out several bounties on her to try and get her tracked down and rescued and she gets a blast from the past when she's grabbed by Bane a second time and taken to Ord Mantell. She of course is Not trusting Grandma Crimes anymore, but Cid is trying to redeem herself and fix what she broke.
While this is going on, the parallel return is the batch getting to Eriadu in order to set up the two parter.
Episode 6 & 7 - "Infiltration" & "Extraction
With the batch set up, they're ready to go get Tech from wherever he's been stuck! These two are likely more action oriented, with a little bit of Difficulty between Crosshair and the others after so long apart, but they find their footing well enough and begin to work together in order to get Tech out. They're 5/6ths of the way to a full family, they just have one more to get a hold of!
Episode 8 - "Bad Territory"
Getting fully into Pet Theories here but I think that this shot from the trailer
Tumblr media
is Batuu - going mostly from the distinctive looking spires here. Another possible Omega focused episode, Cid is taking her to Batuu to cash in a favor. Not one owed to her - one owed to Omega, by Roland Durand. (LISTEN HERE'S HOW INFESTED BEING RELEVANT CAN STILL WIN-)
Anyway the focus here is on Roland trying to link her up with the batch. This might be a good place for Fennec to make her reappearance too, working from the Batch's end.
Episode 9 - "The Harbinger"
I'll be real I have no idea, my ideas started getting thin right about here, but I will say the title sounds like a great place for Ventress and the Teth monastery to make their appearance (I'm assuming they'll be together) but how they would actually play into the plot if they appeared here is unclear. I do think that we'll finally get everyone together though or at least be on our way to it, in order to bring us to our next two parter.
Episode 10 & 11 - "Identity Crisis" & "Point of No Return
The team is back together and all is not well, because everyone is still suffering a severe case of the Issues. No one can agree on what to do, where to go, with the identity crisis being the batch unsure of how to move forward together. Omega of course gets immediately stressed out by it all because it seems like she finally got her family back together only for it to immediately start falling apart. Wrecker is probably right there with her. Tech & Phee have their moment together, Echo still thinks they need to fight and I think that Crosshair is going to tend towards that too. Hunter at least absolutely wants to retire to Pabu right now immediately, but as the show has been trying to demonstrate, avoiding things won't be an option because-
Point of No Return is the dreaded invasion of Pabu. The Empire followed them here in order to retrieve Omega, and they barely escape, evacuating as many of Pabu's residents as possible. Shep doesn't make it out and is imprisoned.
Episode 12 - "Juggernaut"
This is where like a full quarter of the trailer comes from because they can show us several exterior tank shots without showing who's in the damn tank. I think the point of this one will be to get Shep back, since it does look like him that Wrecker is carrying. We know that Crosshair, Hunter, and Wrecker at a minimum will go in, but I think likely Omega and Echo are there (likely together thus being why we don't see much of Echo in the trailer) and Tech might be with Phee.
Episodes 13-15 - "Into the Breach" "Flash Strike" "The Calvary Has Arrived"
Grouping these three together because I have no idea what happens here except that we're likely going to be mounting an attack to take down Hemlock and, hopefully, free all of the clones that he's been experimenting on. The time for hiding is over, they have to take a stand against the Empire. Not because they're soldiers, but because they're a family, and the other clones are still their brothers.
For the first time, we don't leave our own behind can get followed and they're going in.
The Calvary Has Arrived is not a title I can see going dark to be quite honest, it's more of a full circle moment, it's the Batch becoming who they're meant to be, a family that fights for each other and for the other clones, I will cling to the idea of a happy ending (hopefully one that sets up a continuation that might focus more on Rex and his clone rebellion) until it's ripped from my cold dead hands thank you very much. I think that after the family has spent two seasons absolutely torn apart, becoming increasingly fractured, the best ending is one that has them finally united, all six of them, for the first time.
Like Omega said. They're more than soldiers. They're a family.

Nothing is more headache-inducing than when people say ‘Give me a single piece of evidence that Mike likes Will romantically’ because you just know what they’re looking for is simple, easily summed up and understood statements like overt flirting and obvious verbal hints etc. But this is a friends—best friends—to lovers story. Set in a completely different time period. It’s obviously going to be more nuanced than that?
The other couples on this show did not start from the same basis as Byler. Byler have been best friends since they were tiny. They’re also both boys. It’s also the 80s. Lumax, Jancy and Jopper were pretty much obviously romantically entangled from the minute their stories intertwined. (They are friends to lovers, yes, but the platonic side of their relationships was not hugely explored before their romantic interest became obvious, although they were still all friends before dating/kissing which is why they work). They are also all heterosexual couples.
Is it not obvious that Byler is probably going to look a little different in terms of its build up? Is it not obvious that it’s not as simple as ‘Mike likes Will and is 100% aware of it and cool with it and therefore treats him exactly as he would a girl he fancies’? Can people not consider context such as hmm if Byler was going to happen as they say, that means Mike would like boys, in the 80s, which would probably be a pretty difficult thing to navigate and come to terms with so maybe his feelings for Will aren’t going to be as in your face and overtly romantic as I might expect from the other pairings. And is it also not obvious that given M*leven is a canon couple, Byler happening would have to be intended as a plot twist, a twist which would be redundant if they gave obvious hints that Mike is in love?
But even keeping that in mind, Jancy, Lumax and Jopper have behaved in very similar ways to how Mike and Will have consistently done aka intimate heart to hearts, confiding in each other about their problems and fears, really emotional scenes that build the bond between them. And even aside from those glaring similarities that go right over peoples heads:
Mike confides in Will in a way he just doesn’t with El, there’s a deep sense of trust there
Mike pays extremely close attention and takes care of Will hinted in s1 and shoved in our faces in s2, a desire to protect that rises way above the rest of their friends
He treats Will with miles more maturity and compassion than he does El in s4, and is in fact made to look and feel really happy by Will’s literal (disguised) feelings in the van
And those are just a few examples of how strong and close their bond is on Mike’s end. People just brush this stuff off as platonic because well, yeah…they are friends. But it’s friends to lovers!! And a slowburn plot twist at that! Their relationship for the entire show builds the foundation for a realisation that the perfect person has been right in front of him the whole time! We might not see Mike giving Will apologetic M&Ms or calling him pretty, but what we do see over and over is how the two of them work really well together, as a team. A million times better than Mike does with his own girlfriend.
The only real difference with Byler and the other couples is that the obvious romantic vibes for those couples began way early on. Because they could. Because there was nothing really preventing them from realising and acting on their feelings other than ‘we’re attracted to each other but oh I’m dating someone else or oh we’re scared to take that next step’. When it comes to Byler, Mike and Will and Mike specifically have much bigger barriers to contend with. Mike may not understand what he feels for Will is actually love. Mike may not even realise he likes boys, he’s had a gf this whole time after all. Mike may be really scared to even subtly act on his feelings if he is aware. And these people expect Mike to be smiling all lovesick at Will, staring into his eyes, saying romantically coded things? (The biggest joke of all is of course that these things actually have happened but when they do? It’s oh they’re just good friends stop being delusional!!)
Byler is just a very complex and nuanced relationship, you can’t take the same approach to analysing it as you would M*leven like oh proof Mike likes El? That one scene where he called her pretty. He said he was scared she’d leave him. He said he loved her. It’s very easy to cherry pick and point to these moments, but to understand Byler you have to look at the bigger picture and not everyone’s willing to take the time to do that I guess 🤷🏽‍♀️

I can kind of see why Hyrule reads as imperialistic to you in totk, but why do they read white? Sonia is brown and rauru is a black goat. What makes the difference between them and Ganondorf so bad?
Hey, thanks for the ask!
So... I have an answer, and it's kind of in layers. So I hope it's fine if I kind of go on Journey TM where I figure out my own feelings on the topic alongside you, the person reading! It's long! Kind of meandery! Sorry!!
Also, I had written a great version of this reply to this ask that Tumblr fucking ate and I'm furious about it, so this version is slightly more annoyed as a baseline because of Tumblr and not the ask itself. But I got stubborn and decided I would rewrite the whole thing tonight. So.
Here we go.
Layer One: My Basic and Unfiltered Gut Reaction
My first, potentially unwarranted gut-level reaction would be: I kind of think it's a stretch to consider them POC-coded. Sonia gives me more tanned Ariana Grande vibes than anything else, but that's... I mean, I'm aware that there are brown people with lushious blonde hair and blue eyes out there, that race as USA-infused Internet understands it is Complicated (I'm half-brazilian, and even though I'm very very white and don't consider myself biracial but bicultural, I had people discussing my ethnicity to my face a non-zero amounts of time, including quite recently, including in my own family! so I super get that it's more complicated than what I make it out to be here). But given vibes don't count as an argument, I completely get + accept if that reading on her ethicity is therefore dismissed. She could very well be brown. Fine by me.
(so, I feel like I have to add this borderline-conspiratory reason why I'm suspicious of her skin color being considered a factor here, which can 100% be dismissed but I still want to bring it to the table: I've been to several meetings and heard about many instances where "diverse traits" are being handed over to characters with the explicit purpose of using that diversity as shields against deeper criticisms of core aspects of the storytelling instead of fixing the storytelling itself, and honestly it could very well be the case here. I really hope it's just the team thinking Sonia would be prettier with a darker skin tone, because her design is genuinely lovely and I really like it, wish she didn't die like immediately and had a character arc of her own, but. Imagine the kneeling scene with two very white ladies and everything else, etc. It might be overly paranoid of me, but I can't help but squint a little bit in this specific instance, especially since the biracial trait here is so toned-down that it's barely there and barely committed to anything. Which would also make a good argument against this suspicion too tbh! Anyway. Just wanted to bring that up so you get the whole picture of where my brain is at.)
Rauru... Okay. Here's the thing: I can't unsee The Rauru. The original one I mean (and his Skyward Sword Gaebora counterpart), aka: the White Patriarch of all times.
Tumblr media
(this has nothing to do with anything but Link's little recoil animation here is so funny to me, like he looks so shocked and his nose is so pointy)
I do think that removing the origins of this character from his DNA for TotK is kind of overly convenient when discussing this iteration, especially when his role in this game is basically a mixture of OoT Rauru and the Unnamed King of Hyrule (and every king of Hyrule that came after). I mean, okay sure maybe the Unnamed, Unseen King of Hyrule wasn't white but... it's obviously not true, right? And while I understand this is a different iteration of that character, many characters in the series maintain their base ethnicity across different reimaginings (even Blue Pig Ganon remains a gerudo at heart post OoT, at least in the way we keep on understanding him). And beyond this, given the fact that Rauru retains this energy of a Founding Father (in the largest possible sense), I feel that, at the very least, that patriarchal energy is extremely important to his character to a core degree.
But even so, yes. Rauru is now indeed a Goat Man. Not only is he a Goat Man, but he dresses in ways that are very inspired by mesoamerican cultures; undeniably so. So that would make him at least mesoamerican-coded, right?
I mean... I guess? I guess. Sure. But. I have now to introduce the Layer 2 of my argumentation, which is that...
Tumblr media
Layer Two: Zonai Culture is Hylian Coded
So. Pretty bold claim I know. Let me explain.
Now I certainly do not want to say that mesoamerican civilizations are not *everywhere* in the aesthetic inspiration for the zonai culture in Tears of the Kingdom; I'm sure these real life references are overflooding the moodboards, from the color palet to the symbols to the artstyle, the costumes and the buildings. It's the main way the game communicates zonai-ness to us the player. And it's great! I wish they had went even harder in that direction (I think there's even pretty dramatic differences between the zonai ruins on the surface, much more interesting imo, than what was done with the actual zonai architecture at its peak).
But now, I will ask a question that I asked myself often while playing. What is zonai culture, beyond the feathers and the indented patterns and the swirls and the dangly bits? What characterizes it? I would say that zonai civilization is primarily interested in automation, technology, mining to develop said technology, and things that float in the sky. Beyond this, and from the limited perspective the game gives us through Rauru and Mineru, we see a society ruled by a patriarch (neutral term, it is just patriarchal in nature), married to a woman who is a priestess and doesn't seem to hold an equal amount of power (she doesn't speak as much, seems content to handle the religious side of things), who values collaboration and engineering prowesses, has an army, servants, robot servants, administrates other races through, to be docile and go the game's way, collaborativeness... It's Hyrule. It's just Hyrule, except older and with a different paintjob; but at heart, the style of society upheld by Rauru is very (eerily?) similar to what we get to know in the TotK/BotW era. Actually, this version of Hyrule seems extraordinarily similar to the Hyrule we get to see in BotW pre-Calamity: replace the zonai technology with the sheikah's, and what's the difference --except that this later version of Hyrule isn't trying to pass itself off as perfect? Zelda doesn't experience any kind of culture shock. Even the language seems to be basically the same. It is Hyrule, because it is. It's the origins of the kingdom. This is the whole point of the zonais: being that familiar thing that we know and love, except more pristine and more glorious and more mysterious so we can be sad when it gets destroyed.
So is it aesthetically inspired by mesoamerican cultures? Yes. Does it evoke specific details about said culture? The way politics and religion interconnect perhaps (unless we consider Rauru coming from the gods as such, but it's nooot super specific and not really elaborated upon)? What that culture valued, or what we assume it once valued? Cultural shortcuts we tend to make with these cultures, for better or for worse? I may be extremely uncultured here, and if that's the case I apologize, but I never really saw any of the aspects highlighted as the core pillars of the zonais commonly associated with either mesoamerican ancient civilizations, or current living native decendants of these civilizations. The biggest connexion or shortcut I see is the "mysterious ancient advanced civilization", which is pretty vague and was honestly more convincing in BotW.
Then of course, it doesn't invalidate that connection. But now, as a point of comparaison, to see what happens when Zelda takes active steps in coding one of their fantasy races... Let's take a look at the gerudos, shall we?
Tumblr media
(Urbosa appreciation break. She's just so freakin cool look at her goooo!!! okay now we can keep going.)
I have said my whole spiel about the gerudos about a bajillion times now so I will try to make it quick. My tl;dr is: gerudos were always meant to be culturally disruptive. It's their whole point in the Zelda series. I won't rehash the whole thing about the crescent moon, the orientalism etc, but I think it's important to remember that they are meant to be considered foreign in a way no other Zelda race ever is. What I mean by this is, if we return to OoT: they are the only race hostile to Hyrule enough to not only consider and carry out an invasion, but to forbid entrance to their territory if you are not one of them. They have a different (apparenly evil-looking) god and their ears are rounded when everyone else is some sort of elf, their script is different, their cultural values are different, it's a weird semi-matriarchy where the man-king's occasional patriarchy has a very different social role than the king of Hyrule even if we don't get to see all the details... Won't return on the thievery and the 90s islamophobic kick of that time period, but the gerudos were very obviously crafted to be culturally deviant to the Hylian norm; their difference so great that getting accepted by them is an actual fighting and infiltration challenge. And even though they are much friendlier in TotK/BotW, they are still, by far the most innaccessible and different race out of all the rooster of, and it's worth mentioning, fish-people, bird-people and rock-people. They are the only one with their own language, their own strict rules that oppose your freedom as a player, a series of side-quests that directly address the subject of culture clash and differences; and, even then, they still parallel the real life western fantasy about the Orient TM (even more-so in TotK I would say, which I didn't love): the locked-in harem foreign men are forbidden to enter. This core idea is so entrenched that it becomes gameplay.
When it comes to Ganondorf, the parallel remains, more present than ever: in that game he gets to embody the foreign, cruel, brutal, cunning, manipulative, uncomfortably feminine at times, envious, physically intimidating, oppressive Man of the Desert in a long tradition of Men from the Desert and the rich legacy of literature and movies that portray them. It's not new to TotK, to be very clear: but TotK did double-down on the trope at the cost of Ganondorf's specificity as a character instead of questioning the trope that birthed him the way the series had tried to do in the past (even TP wasn't that bad, doing away with a lot of the baggage altogether --for better and for worse).
So to me... saying that zonais are mesoamerican-coded, in a world where we simply do not actively interact with these cultures all that much anymore (not at all to minimize the very real oppression of their descendants and the extreme and sickening violence their ancestors were met with to be extremely clear --I'm just saying that the violence wouldn't have worldwide cultural resonance in the same way and I don't think would have much reality in Japan unless, again, I'm saying dumb things and in that case please do correct me), or the extremely mild and non-invested way Zelda handled these cultures (to me it's much more costume than coding), positively too (good!), and comparing them to the active coding of the gerudos (and especially Ganondorf) as a means to equalize them as "basically the same thing" feels... a little off to me.
But! Now we're getting to the last layer!!
Tumblr media
(you have no idea how long I searched for this gif, I typed "Ganondorf kneeling" in the gif search, like a fool, and parsed through much, much horniness to finally find my little dude anyway layer 3!!!)
Layer Three: It Isn't What Actually Matters Now Is It (at least according to me, the person writing this post)
Honestly, I don't really care whether Rauru and Sonia are white-coded or not. They could be, they could not be, cool by me either way. I don't really care if the zonai culture is meant to stand-in for mesoamerican cultures for Real for Sure or not, and heavily doubt it was done to increase diversity (otherwise Rauru wouldn't be, like, a Goat-Man but just a brown man). I do appreciate the visual diversity of the cast of NPCs, that hylians can look like a whole number of people and it's really cool Hyrule is moving into that direction instead of being very typecast into a sort of Japanese-ish representation of western middle ages/fantasy/fairy tale thing.
But at heart, what bothers me between this whole dynamic has less to do with whom is coded as whom than the fact that this game twisted itself into knots to tell a very suspiciously clean story about its complicated world and complicated history, and I feel like it's completely fine to ask for more than the bare minimum of visual representation and question the way these characters get to interact with each other and how their real life struggles are meaningfully talked about in the worlds Nintendo spend millions crafting? Sometimes, what they do is already great! Sometimes it's half-great! Most of the time, it could be so much better --especially when some of these subjects have been talked about to death for over 25 years (sorry to beat that dead horse one more time btw)
At the end of the day, the story itself is strange for many reasons. The power dynamic between the characters is attempting to be several things at once; maybe it's not on purpose, but either way, the world TotK paints is a strange one that only holds itself together if we accept to take it at face value. Which we don't have to.
And to me, TotK felt particularly shallow in that specific department of representation due to the whole... Imperialist Vibes thing (the other ask about this is queue'd, it's coming!), which nullified a lot of these efforts for me. It's not only about who's represented, but how they are represented as well, and, very importantly, why.

Has anyone theorized why the Duffers chose to focus on Ten (10) specifically at the start of season 4?
Because looking back, how he was framed at the beginning of s4, compared to the end, makes it obvious he was a red herring.
In 4x01, we get our first (less detailed) recount of the massacre at Hawkins Lab, with the focus singling out Brenner and Ten. While I think there could definitely be important ideas hidden in the subtext during those scenes between them, Ten doesn't seem to hold any importance to the overall story, as his own character, beyond what's given to us in that premiere.
Because in 4x07, when we get a more detailed recount of the massacre, we're now viewing this moment from El's perspective at that same time Brenner and Ten first come into view. But it's at this moment the audience realizes that it was never about Ten.
By the end that same episode, Ten is merely canon fodder. He was given almost all of our focus, and then he was gone. And that was it. But I think that's because it's obvious he was never meant to be important to the overall story in the first place.
Ten was placed at the start of the story, not only as a distraction, but to also act as usable early promo footage.
No, but seriously. It's quite common for shows to post the first 10 or so minutes on YouTube before the actual premiere of a new season. In fact, Stranger Things has done this with the first 8 minutes of s1 & 4.
Planning for marketing and advertising is so fucking essential to Stranger Things roll-out, they would've probably wrote and filmed those scenes, knowing that it could, and very likely would, be used early-on in the promotion circuit (because later scenes in the season are usually filled with spoilers), which meant whatever they focused on couldn't give too much away. If anything it needed to make you think you were getting a lot in the foreground, when in reality the true answers were tiptoeing in the background.
What I think makes the choice to focus on Ten at the start of the season so interesting though, is that he's the number right before Eleven.
Our focus, right from the jump, is specifically on the number that has proximity to Eleven...
And so why do that? Why focus on Ten and then drop him into obscurity?
Maybe to distract us from the fact that the number we should've really been focusing on also has similar proximity to Eleven (literally and figuratively and numerically)... Mayhaps Twelve??
I promise you guys, I was minding my business, doing research for a completely different post, when I noticed a detail that expanded on my curiosity in regards to Ten.
Now, I'm not the kind of byler that tries to add up a bunch of numbers and say that it means something, and that's honestly mostly because I suck at math (and so no hate to the bylers that do that bc that's more of a me problem). And yet despite that, I really don't think this is even reaching. I think they made the choice to focus on the numbers they did and the way that they did, for a reason.
Although Ten didn't give us much of a purpose beyond s4 misleading opener vibes, he still started off the season with a fleeting, but still larger focus than the rest of the numbers besides El.
And so besides Ten and Eleven, which other number played a big role this season?
Two.
Though that's not to say Two operates as a red herring. I would say he actually plays a substantial role the entire season. He has a beginning, middle and end to his arc that stretches the entire season and feels layered in ways that make it clear he was more than just a blip to keep us busy.
And so, for the first episode of s4, these specific numbers were credited first before the rest, as they apparently played the biggest roles. And so, I just find it kind of ironic that:
Tumblr media
Do you see it?
Okay, if you're still stuck I'll help you out:
Tumblr media
The Duffers have admitted since s4 premiered that a lot of the surprises/answers they're saving for the end of the show, can likely be found within the show itself. This is because, a lot of the choices made, especially in season 4's case, were with the end in mind. And so details that maybe even seemed meaningless or ended up going nowhere, probably had a purpose that went beyond what we assumed when we were first confronted with those ideas. And that was probably the intention. Otherwise the surprise element wouldn't even be there.
Although it might seem like nothing is here, and maybe there isn't. Maybe I am reaching.
I still can't help but feel like these Hawkins lab scenes specifically hold the truth to what is going to play out in season 5.
Because the brothers have also admitted s5 is going to delve into the origins of Hawkins Lab and how Brenner's program went from involving Henry, to evolving and including multiple kids...
Honestly that alone should be enough of an admission that the s4 lab scenes probably hold more answers than we realize. All those choices they made, were made with the truth about Hawkins Lab in the back of their mind.
And so if they're going to make those revelations about the lab in the final season, and s5 is apparently going to also spend a lot of time telling us about Will's disappearance, whatever this all entails has to fit nicely with those scenes of the lab in s4. Because those scenes were extremely recent and also presumably written and talked about beside their outline for s5, meaning that they had every chance to hide the answers in the details... which they've literally admitted to doing by saying the answers to the ending are hidden in the show already... why am I even rambling about this in long form. This isn't a reach if you're actually considering what is in front of us.
That's not to say that we have the full picture yet to comfortably support Twelvegate as a full blown guaranteed theory. Because even though the evidence is astounding, there's still so much missing.
I think the imagery of time/clocks over the seasons being built up, going into the end of the show, and still without really delving into the time/clocks aspect fully, is maybe why I'm so open minded to how they could go about Twelvegate.
What we know about the past regarding Will's childhood along with what happened to Will when he went missing, for all we know might not even be the full truth. And there is some evidence that the facts surrounding Will's disappearance were changed between season 1 and season 2 and so... why was that? Back then fans thought it was just a copy/paste error, but now within the context of twelvegate... it's quite fascinating...
Tumblr media
There's also theories Will himself created the upside down? And so, if that were to be the case, in any capacity, I imagine that his role in everything is a lot bigger than we imagine. Like that would make him equally as well known at Hawkins Lab as El.
It's not like we've gotten any imagery like that before, with Will being the center of interest at Hawkins Lab... Oh wait--
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's not like Will has ever been 'the boy who lived' level well known or anything...
But maybe that's because he's literally 'THE BOY WHO CAME BACK TO LIFE' well known!!
WILL BYERS IS THE CHOSEN ONE? WILL BYERS HOLDS THE ANSWERS TO EVERYTHING WE'VE BEEN OVERLOOKING AND MISSING FROM THE BEGINNING???
Then there's the fact that Will himself could play a role in how time is going to impact the last season and presumably our perception of the past itself, specifically in relation to Will and his time at Hawkins Lab (possibly).
Lots of fans predict time travel will be involved in some capacity. Though there is a lot of pushback both in the byler fandom and even in the ga at the possibility of this, because I think a lot of people associate time travel in storytelling with entire story resets and so they're scared that time will just start over and everything that occurred over the seasons would become meaningless. And I guess I could see why that would be disappointing.
However, even if time travel plays a role, and I do think it likely will in some way because the foreshadowing is too extensive to not have been intentional, that doesn't mean I think they'll do it in the most conventional or predictable way possible. I think it would have to be way more complex than what most people expect, and it probably wouldn't erase everything they've been through, assuming what they've been through is even the full truth to begin with...

I'd love to hear about "go - and you and i" & "st - the balancing of the sun"!!!
wip title ask meme
(didn't get to this earlier bc i have been taking some ill-advised naps and remaining comatose for hours on end, so thank you for your patience sgdnshfks)
and you and i: so, in my mind i wanted this to be a fic about the ways aziraphale and crowley love each other and how it physically (and perhaps metaphysically) feels different for both of them. but apparently i spent too much time writing it in my head and not enough writing it in the actual file, bc i only have like two scenes and a handful of random sentences lmao (don't be like me) also as a fun fact: the title comes from the Yes song of the same name! absolutely gorgeous track, the lyrics never once mention the word "love," but it has so much love pouring out of it that it doesn't need to
here's one bit of it, feat. aziraphale and grief (don't worry crowley's not dead or anything, they just had a falling out):
You throw yourself into work, taking on as many assignments from Heaven as you can, and running the bookshop in between. In the off hours you catalogue and reorganize and repair anything that needs it. It helps, you think, to have distractions, things to push that all-encompassing grief out of the way so you can breathe again. No time for frivolous things like theaters or bakeries or rereading your favorite poetry collection for the hundredth time. No time to think about anything that might remind you of Crowley.
And it works, to a point. It gets easier to not think about him.
But it always catches up to you, often when you least expect it.
You'll be sitting at your desk, ready to take up the task of rebinding a book, not thinking much about anything at all. And then you'll blink and all at once your vision will have gone completely cloudy, and another blink will have tears flooding uncontrollably from your eyes, and you'll push your chair back quickly to avoid any droplets falling on the book, and fumble to press a handkerchief to your face as you're overtaken by heaving sobs.
And so you'll remain for a length of time that could be anywhere between minutes or days but feels like a century—but it hasn't even been a century, and you've been apart much longer than that before anyway so why does it still hurt so much—
After that time has passed, you'll pick yourself up, and wipe off your face. You'll take the damaged book in hand, closing it carefully and delicately, once more hiding the inscription that Crowley had written on the inside cover when he gave it to you. And you'll put that book away, not back to its rightful shelf, but tucked away far out of sight but never quite out of mind, with all the other things you can't bring yourself to look at anymore.
And then you'll go back to work.
---
the balancing of the sun: this is the mccoy-centric sfs fic i've shared some of before! title comes from the song "on the silent wings of freedom" by Yes. admittedly the chaotic instrumentation does not fit the fic's vibe at all, but the lyrics bro..... "on the darkest night so painful / do you hunger for love / midst the torture of being one" like!!! i'm out of my mind about it
anyway i hadn't made much progress in several months but i went in and finally nailed down the opening paragraphs just for you 😘:
The worst part of this whole mess, in your opinion, isn't that Spock stuck his katra in your head. It was disorienting as hell, of course, to suddenly feel a disconnect from your thoughts and actions, like they were no longer entirely yours. Going from having complete control one moment, to feeling like a mere passenger in your own body the next is not an experience you'd recommend. But to tell the truth—though you'd be hard pressed to ever admit it aloud—there was something... relieving, almost calming, about finding out it was Spock's presence in your head. You may wish he'd had the decency to ask first, or at least would've given you a heads-up beforehand, but no, having Spock in your mind isn't the worst part.
And it's not the subtle but all too noticeable way your friends look at you now, like it's not really you they're seeing. How when words come out of your mouth in a different tone and cadence, you can see it in their faces, somewhere between hope and heartbreak, before you're even aware of what you'd said or how you'd said it.
Nor is it this fool-headed mission to Genesis you're all on now, however guilty you may feel for having gotten them roped into this, however much you might wish you'd been successful in chartering a flight out there alone. They broke you out of holding for this, they stole the Enterprise for this, they're putting their lives and careers on the line for this, because of you. The danger of it all aside, you're already dreading the court martial awaiting each of you if you make it back to Earth in one piece.
No, the worst part, you think, is what it will mean to succeed. To recover Spock's body from Genesis, bring him home to Vulcan, and lay him to rest—body and soul.
Because to do so will mean losing him all over again.

THE LITTLE WOLF UPDATE
It's here. The new improved chapters 1-3 have posted. Read The Big Bad Wolf's prequel from the beginning here. Chapters 4 & 5 should be posted a week from now, either on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, depending on when I finish it.
Think of it as my little gift to you all - I hope you all have a Merry Christmas (or a Happy Hanukkah!). And for those who don't celebrate either, then Happy New Year!
If you want more details on all the changes I made to The Little Wolf, read below. It's not too spoil-ery but it's not exactly spoiler-free either, so by all means come back later to see if you found all the changes I made! Extra kudos to those who notices them all.
Over 20k+ of brand new content. This includes two new chapters (chapter 2 & 4 respectively) and around 20 or more new scenes to devour across the entirety of the fic.
Original scenes have been tweaked and expanded upon, with longer conversations or scenes between characters.
All punctuation, grammar and spelling has been proof read repeatedly. I won't say it's all perfect, because I've probably still missed bits, but its in a much better state than it was before. Dialogue grammar in particular has had a complete overhaul, which should make everything much easier to read.
Each chapter has song lyrics at the beginning, fitting the vibes or themes of the chapter. This is a part of a playlist that I will share in Running With Wolves after completing the editing to The Big Bad Wolf (which has it's own share of songs, compiled with a mix of the music I listen to while writing and music I feel embodies each chapter).
In a similar thread, new timestamps have been added whenever there is a time or location jump. Again, this is a change that will be happening to The Big Bad Wolf as well to make flashbacks clearer. Upon completion of TBBW's edit, a timeline will be added to Running With Wolves so you can see all of the events that take place in the series in chronological order.
Historical accuracy has been given a bigger focus. Obviously, there's still a need for suspension of disbelief (vikings never travelled that far south in America, horses weren't introduced to America until the 1500s etc) as I'm no history buff and I personally believe you can allow a little leeway for sake of creative freedom. However, that said, I've tried to right the most egregious wrongs by Julie Plec: the white washing of the native Americans, the almost European-Christian culture of the Mikaelsons' village (views on bastards, women like Rebekah not carrying arms and being all innocently feminine even though they were warrriors too in viking culture, lack of historical accuracy in settings/costumes/props etc) and of course, the complete lack of explanation behind how the vikings arrived in Southern America. Hopefully it should feel more alive, and I'll probably add even more in the final FINAL edit that will happen once I've finished TBBW.
The Little Wolf's main focus is Klaus' characterisation arc. However, in this rewrite, all the Mikaelson siblings get more screen time and you get their characterisation arcs in the background, as a treat.
Henrik is much more fleshed out as a character. He's mischievous and playful, a lot like Kol, with other attributes from the other siblings thrown in. He's also got more Youngest Sibling energy, just as the other siblings have Middle Child/Eldest Child energy, because in a fic about family, really that's the most important detail of them all.
I've delved deeper into Mikael and Esther's treatment of Klaus and how it wasn't much different to how they treated the other siblings after all. Don't get me wrong - in my mind Klaus was dealt the worst of Mikael's physical fury, but I don't believe 'he was singled out' is as black and white as the show would lead you to believe. That's not how abusive households work.
Talking about Klaus' characterisation, think of this fic as the death of Niklaus Mikaelson, leading to the birth of Klaus, The Original Hybrid. The Little Wolf leading the way for The Big, Bad Wolf. You'll get innocent baby boi Niklaus of course, but that same innocent kid has a feral side. When you become a vampire, it heightens who you already are and Klaus - he had that fury and violence in him all along, and it wasn't just because of the wolf.
In a lot of human-era Originals fics and the actual shows, when they're turned into vampires its all very planned out. Idk, like Esther and Mikael are evil villains twirling their moustaches? Turning their children into vampires, its all very pre-meditated, oh the horror and everything. And although there is elements of that in this rewrite (they ARE shitty, evil parents after all) I tried to do something a little original myself. In this fic, more focus is given to the family's grief and how Henrik's death becomes the shatterpoint for EVERYTHING. His death causes every bad decision made by the family from that moment on. It's less of "I planned to make my children the most powerful beings to ever walk this earth" and more of "I tried to save my children and didn't expect ANY of this so wtf do I do now, another bad decision? Yeah let's do that". You feel me? Hopefully that comes across anyways.
Okay what haven't I mentioned yet... WEREWOLF LORE. Yeah that's been expanded on and fleshed out some more. You get a glimpse into my take on how the werewolf gene is triggered, along with a coming of age ritual, general culture, outsider prejudice against werewolves etc...Klaus' views on them is much more explored, especially in relation to his heritage. Kinda playing with the idea that him being a bastard was never the problem to Mikael or Klaus - it was him being a werewolf.
Since I started re-writing this I watched way too many of Mike Flanagan's series'. So I kinda went all 'Midnight Mass' on the Mikaelson's village. Oopsies.
In a similar thread, the raven from the Fall of The House of Usher left a bigger impact on me than I like to admit. That's something so sexy about an omen of death okay leave me alone I NEED THE FORESHADOWING
There's probably more, I'm disclaiming that now, but I've forgotten. Go forth and devour my lovelies ✨

lol yeah I did mean the klaroline fandom and no like things never got that intense (unless we’re talking about the writers and producers of that show cuz the shitstorms they would stir up dear lord) like yes some of us didn’t like klayley or klamille we made it known lol but for the most part I feel like fandoms were just that … fandoms.
I feel like lately you need a reason for everything you dislike or like you said you’re automatically something for not liking a specific character or ship. And granted some people can be dicks and awful.
Like you I am ambivalent about BT - I think it’s cute to see buck so excited and their relationship is sweet but to me it is still so superficial because we don’t see it play out. When we do it’s such short scenes and it tends to be flirty and cute but we don’t see the nitty and gritty, the softness of them figuring each other out and I need that. Granted I am not a multi shipper. Once I get attached I get attached especially when we see so much growth and such a deep emotional bond between two characters like BE (I agree a 100% on that with you). Though even if we do see that softness with BT i will stay remain ambivalent lol no hate to BT I am just too far gone with BE. My endgame is BE because they have grown together through the years.
Regarding the daddy issues line (and like I have never seen a line create so much chaos before lol) like I don’t kink shame. People need what they need and like what they like. But some people will also have wildly different reactions to it as well. Some may like it some may not. As long as no one’s being a dick to others I don’t think there’s anything wrong with someone saying “I did not like it”.
For me the line just felt awkward and flat in that specific situation, for the tone of the episode. The whole episode honestly felt off tone wise for me. Bobby’s life was on the line, the man that has given them advice, and led them and is the center of their family in a lot of ways, literally died for a minute and it felt like we didn’t get that emotional payoff this whole episode.
I would have rather buck and Tommy had stayed soft during that conversation, would have rather them continued talking about their fathers. I would have preferred soft words and soft gestures. That teasing line could have been saved for an episode where things happy and silly and it would have worked because the vibe of the episode would have fit.
lol okay sorry for the rant again. This episode just … I liked it but I felt very underwhelmed emotionally.
Seriously, you and I agree on all points.
Please come off anon and be my friend, we are clearly meant to be friends and hive mind about 911 (I not completely kidding here, its kind of eerie how much we agree)!
I really think the writers missed a huge opportunity with Bobby in the finale. They had a perfect time to really delve into what Bobby means to the team and to his wife - we could have had hospital bedside moments, we could have had chats between the 118 about past calls, or nice things Bobby has done for them. It would have been so emotional and meaningful (for new fans and old fans of the show)!
I also would have been a great ending to the Bobby arc we'd had the past few episodes: Bobby could have been bolstered by the people in his life who love him and know he is a great man and a great firefighter, instead of putting that onto Amir, which just felt so wrong to me.
Amir, this man who has suffered so much and a lot of that is due to Bobby's past mistakes, should not have been put in this position where he was tasked with lifting Bobby out of a dark space! I think his role should have ended in episode 8, his talk with Bobby in the hospital in that episode felt real and didn't put Amir in the position of having to give Bobby forgiveness, because he shouldn't have to.
I also think if the finale had focused more on the bonds between Bobby and the team, we would have gotten those incredible found family moments and feelings we love so much on the show. They have often ended seasons with 'family' moments in the past, moments where the whole 118 is together, or the 118 and their extended families are together and its a great way to wrap up a season!
I will end my rant there...
But my invitation for friendship remains ;)

Netflix's Avatar The Last Airbender thoughts part 2/5)
this is the bit about Kataang. i have so much to say.
Kataang (romance vs friendship): okay i can't restrain myself any longer; here we go. by ep 3 i started noticing how it feels like they're deliberately keeping Katara and Aang away from each other. they barely even have scenes together, they just keep getting separated every episode, and even when they are together it's very short and there is not much chemistry between them. and to be clear, i expected as soon as i originally saw the casting that their romantic relationship won't be explored, at least in this season, and that's completely fine - it'd be pretty weird even, if they leaned into it too much, given how visible the age difference is between the two of them. besides, other than Aang's crush, their romance wasn't really an important point in the first season of the original either, it was basically just the Fortuneteller episode that dealt with the subject. so yes, no romance between them, completely fine. in the original though, book 1 established strong foundations for their friendship, for how and why they see each other as a family, why they love and trust each other, and given a background to how that then later evolves into romantic love. here, so many of their big moments are taken from them or changed.
Kataang (secret tunnels) i can excuse the cave of two lovers changes because it was a nice exploration of Katara's and Sokka's relationship, even if i didn't love most of what else they did with it (the whole thing with the badgermoles was kinda dumb). it was also originally not a S1 moment, so who knows, there's still the option for it to come back later in the show. which i really hope it does because my Kataang heart would be so sad if it doesn't.
Kataang (avatar state): i really disliked Aang being able to control the avatar state on his own by remembering Gyatso, because it was both too early in his own story, and i felt that it ripped the carpet out from underneath one of the most defining moments of Katara and Aang's connection - her being the only one who can help Aang control the avatar state for a loooong time before he learns how to do it on his own. i think it was important that it happened so early in the original show, and while i enjoyed the way they recreated that moment to fit it in the last episode, when it actually happened, it felt... somehow more unearned than in the original where it happened after like an hour of screentime. obviously, the idea here was that we'll have a whole season of them bonding, watch them become true friends, see how much of a family they are to each other, and THEN have this scene where Katara helps Aang control his fear and pain, because they now have this real, built up connection. which is a good take! if that's how it went, i may even like how this change reflects on their relationship
Kataang (lack of affection): however, that's not how it went. these two barely even TALK for most of the season. they have very few scenes together, and 1 (one!) hug - btw there is very little tactile affection between them, no hugs, no reassuring touches on the arm, no nothing. and i know not everyone likes physical affection, but i never got that vibe from the Aang and Katara of the OG show, they hugged, Katara kissed Aang's cheek, i vaguely recall that they held hands and had multiple "hand on your shoulder" moments as well. a huuuuuge offender of this is episode 4, when Katara, Sokka and Aang are reunited. Aang collapses after dropping the boulders, Katara runs to him, asks if he's okay and then just... stands next to him, awkwardly. like... that scene was begging for a hug, or at least a helping hand, or dusting him off. i couldn't feel the relief of the characters to have been reunited, even though it was thematically super important in that moment. there is a lack of love and connection, there is a lack of trust and bonding; i mean Katara bonds more with Jet than Aang, and Aang bonds more with Zuko than he does with Katara. the show even explicitly compares Aang's and Jet's impact on Katara's waterbending, and basically says that her connection with Jet is better for her than her connection with Aang. which, i know there is a part of this fandom that doesn't like kataang that likes to say Aang is no good for Katara, that he's just holding her back, i'm not gonna get into that, all i'll say is that i disagree.
No Kataang? and even if they don't want to do kataang at all (which is a little meh, since i love kataang, i just hope that if they don't do it, they don't give an alternate romantic partner to either of them), i want to see Katara and Aang at least being the close friends that they originally were. i can live with them not falling in love eventually, if that's where the show is going, since my ships are rarely canon anyway, but i want their friendship to mean something to both of them. even if i ignore where this leads in the OG series, it's still lackluster, because the show sure is telling us they're very important to each other, but doesn't do a whole lot to demonstrate it. you hear them saying they're a family, but you don't really feel it, which i think is probably because of all these adventures we got to see in the original that were only mentioned in passing in this one

The Cure Fanpost
Ok, so as you all know the cure won the bands tournament and has been given the title of best band I listen to according to tumblr users. Of course we know that because this is the goth website that is the reason that the Cure won, and the serious anti-mcr campaigning did help.
So as promised I took precious time out of my day and life to write a fan-post about The Cure.
Tumblr media
I've been listening to the Cure for a really long time and for good reason because their music never really gets old. When I was younger I suppose it was more of background music, something that my parents played and I always appreciated its cheery vibe and weird keyboard parts that made you want to jump around and dance. Now that I'm older and goth I can appreciate the Cure for what it is, a true turning point in alternative music and the bridge between the underground and the mainstream.
I often hear criticism about the Cure being to poppy which makes absolutely no sense. There is nothing wrong with being poppy or having a pop music sound. In fact it is their poppy sound that creates the amazing contrast in their music and aesthetic. The Cure is known for having upbeat and happy music, but with dark lyrics, and an even darker goth aesthetic. I know the Cure has denied being a goth band and that they are simply a band that goths like, but I don't care that much and in my heart they are goth just as much as they are new wave and post punk and britpop. Because new wave and goth are in a sense like scene and emo, PLEASE DON'T DRAG ME FOR THE COMPARISON BELIEVE ME I KNOW THEY ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT JUST HEAR ME OUT. There is a giant overlap between the music listened to by new wavers with the music listened to by goths, but they have totally different aesthetics and the Cure is the bridge between those two which makes their music so versatile and easy to listen to.
Also the fact that they are able to explore different genres without selling out or compromising their beliefs is really great. The fandom is not toxic (as untoxic as any music fandom can be), and they just give you a really good feeling. And sure, the Cure is a sort of elevated goth, the same as elevated horror. It is goth for nongoths, but honestly, if The Cure is the reason someone started listening to Bauhaus or Sisters of Mercy, I think that's a job well done.
Also Robert Smith is just a genuinely good human being (as far as I know)
Now I'm just gonna recommend the Cure songs.
A Forest is probably one of their best polished songs and it has really good bass and guitar parts that compliment each other so well.
youtube
Also the lovecats. It is a really jazzy song with a funky edge and the music video is just something else.
youtube
In between days is one of the sappiest songs I've ever heard but its just really fun to jump around and dance so definitely listen to that one.
youtube
Finally lullaby is one of their creepiest songs and the best in my opinion it is just really cool.
youtube
So yeah go listen to the Cure.
You will not be dissapointed.

Anyways, here's the books I read last year (that weren't manga or cookbooks)-
The Beautiful and Damned, F. Scott Fitzgerald
Sister, Kjell Ola Dahl (#......like 7 or 8 in the Oslo Detective series)
American Prometheus (Oppenheimer biography), Kai Bird
Matilda, Roald Dahl
Blackmail and Bibingka, Mia P. Manansala (#3 in Tita Rosie's Kitchen)
Homicide and Halo-Halo, Mia P. Manansala (#2 in Tita Rosie's Kitchen)
The Moving Finger (Miss Marple #4), Agatha Christie
The Love Hypothesis, Ali Hazelwood
Ymir, Rich Larson
I'm not sure how to put these in an order of what I liked the most because I read them for different reasons so I'll just do a drive by:
Ymir - Started with the pedal to the floorboards and did not let up one bit. One of my favorite flavors of sci-fi is when the narrative is unabashedly About Somewhere Else. Loved how the protagonist could not move through the story without somehow cutting everyone around him, and I loved the traumatic, unresolved tension between him and his brother. Probably my favorite book by vibes alone
Sister - I adore the Oslo Detective series, for reasons that possibly scratch my brain and my brain alone. It's so dry and uninterested in selling you melodrama. I want to study the way this guy writes his interview scenes; they are the main way the detective work gets done and they work so fluidly. They never slow down the pace to make sure you're keeping up. This was a particularly fun installment, seeing one of the lead two detectives on his own doing PI work after having quit, although the cases took brutal turns.
The Moving Finger - Loved it. Love how AC is just out there inventing characters whole cloth that you'll never meet again, but as soon as you meet them you're like 'oh, wow, you're not just a character you're like a full ass person.' I loved this installment in particularly because the dynamics between the characters were just so fascinating?? Once again, I've yet to correctly guess an AC mystery. Better luck next time.
Matilda - read it for a fic I am writing. Spent most of it getting big feelings and marveling at how completely fucking accurate the live action Mara Wilson movie was. Like there were entire scenes where I was like 'this is the movie, this is exactly what happened in the fucking movie.' Great book, but also wow that movie was a wonderfully accurate adaptation.
American Prometheus - Two things I like in a biography: research and calling out when the research didn't yield anything and/or yielded contradictory records. While I struggled to get through the political back half, particularly the bits leading up to the trial, this book was an interesting look on the development of scientific ethics in the twentieth century and on how today's scientific community today is still shaped by the political machinations of the past.
Both of the Tita Rosie's Kitchen books - it's a food-themed setting for a murder mystery book (which is like it's own genre now, which is cool). Relatively easy read. I think the author is still growing into herself, but one thing that she does well is mystery-plotting. Another thing is food descriptions.
The Love Hypothesis - Mainly read it because I owned a copy. It was... probably more enjoyable for people who like romance. Given that it is a romance book. But I do try to read a bit of everything, because I think each genre has something to bring to the table story-wise. This one had some very nice getting-to-know-you moments between the characters, who had good chemistry, but I think where it was weakest was in giving similar moments to the side characters, who often felt one dimensional. The story beats about feminism and institutional unfairness could've been less heavy-handed. For something that was relevant to the plot, it often felt like the author knew they were supposed to say something about it but couldn't figure out how to say it in a way that hadn't been parroted before, which is a shame because the scenes where the protagonist actually had to deal with those issues played well.

omg i totally forgot to send this ask like forever ago but like life and stuff yknow? Anyways you answered my ask about what kinda sub Nadia would be so first off thank you I appreciate it and second off yes yes I completely agree. It is challenging to think of character as very different than usually interpretations, especially when pretty much no one likes it or feels the same way about it (🥲) but that’s part of the fun imo, sub Nadia is pretty against the grain of most interpretations of her character and in general I think thinking of characters in a different light than usual is very interesting (at least imo). Personally I love the idea cause I think I lowkey have a thing for domming older people and royalty or other positions of power so the idea of domming a milf that’s also the countess of vesuvia was very appealing to me lmfao.
But yeah gentle and soft domming Nadia all the way. She’s just always given me those vibes like she really loves soft and loving sex. But yeah also I agree with her like if rougher play as well. I know in her route she has a paid scene where she essentially wrestles with the apprentice and she says how she loves when MC gets feisty which just affirms to me she doesn’t minds rougher play at all. Personally I feel like she wouldn’t be disobedient, I imagine she really enjoys fulfilling MC’s requests and demands and just doing whatever they ask of her so I personally imagine her bratty side manifests in teasing. It’s a pretty prominent aspect of her and MCs relationship in her route so i imagine it’d transfer over if Nadia was a sub. I just love the idea of all the arcana LIs being subs it’s just hot to me, but especially Nadia.
Anyways so tit for tat you gave me ideas so I give you thirst now. I love to think about the kinky shit you could do with magic and the most basic one I can think of is making a clone or two of yourself during play. I mean cmon you get an extra set of hands that just happen to be yours to help you lovingly wreck the LIs. I feel like the main three would get a real kick out of it.
Asra would be down, honestly he’d probably be the one to bring up the idea tbh. So you two plan a day, maybe one where the shop isn’t particularly busy so you two can take a while~. You prep for the spell and double check to make sure everything is right while he gets himself prepped for you. Afab asra supremacy so I just imagine him really getting off at the idea of eating out both of his holes at the same time, he can’t help but just moan and grab at whatever is nearby. Like I said, Afab asra supremacy, and also asra loves anal supremacy so I feel like he would love to take two of you at the same time. The shameless fantasy aspect of brain says the two of you could lift him up and have him hold onto you while you fuck him dumb but the more realistic part of my brain says is to take this position onto the bed and sandwhich him in a spooning position. He’d love the feeling of warmth and fullness and you thrust in and out of him , the only thing the poor baby can muster is moans and whimpers into your neck cause it’s just feels too good~. If it’s your actual cock or a strap with a pump then you have to fill him up no excuses 😤(breeding kink go brrrr)
Nadia would be down to try it imo. I imagine she’s not a big fan of threesomes with her partner but if it’s quite literally clones of them, then I feel like she would have no objections. Have you ever seen that cursed woman painting where it’s just a chick getting eaten out with three guys around her? I feel like nadia would really enjoy that. Lay her down after another hard day as the countess (unironically that job seems like it sucks holy shit I’d have given up and said fuck you to vesuvia props to Nadia honestly💀) and just worship her yknow? Following the format of that painting, one of you obviously gets between those soft thighs while the other lavishes her chest, neck, and whatever else you feeling with loving touches and kisses. Another one lays by her head for the obvious kisses but also to whisper sweet words and to ask her if she’s enjoying it, if she wants to adjust anything, you’re doing all this for her pleasure after all~. All of this would just cause her to melt, forgetting all the worries and headaches from the day as she just basks in the attention. Another idea, I feel like while Nadia wouldn’t be super into anal, just being something I think she’s probably tried before, if it’s your prerogative to have two of you take her then I think she’d be more than willing (side note but like sorry if it seems weird I just like double penetration it’s just hot to me😭) . I think she’d enjoy riding one of you while the other is behind her, loving the feeling and rocking into the gentle thrusts of your cock/strap letting out the prettiest groans you’d ever hear~.
Julian would be super into it too imo. He already gets so blushy and needy for one of you but multiple? Poor Julian doesn’t know what’s about the hit him. Spit roasting him is a must imo. I feel like he really loves it when you take him from behind so he’d obviously love that but also i feel like he’d love getting facefucked too. Make him choke on that dick/pussy while you rail him into next week. Okay so slightly different scenario, instead make him go down on you while you take him from behind. It’s so intense and good he can’t help but get sloppy, not even being head at that point as he’s just moaning and drooling against you. Pull on his hair and make him look at you in the eyes, give a good nice slap in the face and tell him he needs to focus and be a good boy. It works for a little but he just can’t help it and he starts to falter again, oh well, just start facefucking him, if he can’t do it himself you’ll need to help him obviously. Fill him up from behind but give him a facial from the front, mark him as the pretty slut he knows he is~.
So yeah anyways sorry if this is really long I just had a lot i wanted to say sorry😭😭. Hope it’s thirsty enough lmfao I always have so many thoughts about the arcana LIs. Thank you again for answering my ask!
Tumblr media
I think the reason it’s so difficult to see Nadia as anything other than a dom is because just how much her sexuality is engrained into her route- which imo is actually very poorly done at best and fetishistic at worst but that’s a story for another post/ask (also I feel the same way about domming powerful people like yes you’re so big and bad now let me baby you)
Also yes Asra would Definitely be the one to bring up cloning (especially after that one coin scene of his). And OUGH both you and your clone eating him out…having him stand up while one of you is in front and the other is in back, feeling him try to grab onto whatever head he can to keep him stable (and quite possibly has the best orgasm of his life- if you let him cum that is hehe). And Asra would ABSOLUTELY try to get you both to hold him up while he’s getting fucked, even if the position can only be held for a couple minutes at most- but even then he definitely wouldn’t turn down getting spooned and cuddle fucked in bed too. Squished between TWO of his favorite person? Sign him up! (Yes yes yes breeding him too, that’s an absolute must- and double the dicks means double the load >:3 )
I haven’t seen that painting before??? But yes I’m following your thoughts yes- like laying her down and one of you eating her out while the other holds her head in your lap and strokes through her hair. I don’t think Nadia would be like Super into double penetration (I don’t see her liking anything super big to begin with tbh) but I Do think she’d try it at least once. But instead of going through the intensive process of stretching her wide for the night she winds up riding one of you while going down on the other (effectively spit roasted). You have to be gentle with her too!! She needs to destress and the best way to do that is treat her to a gentle night of love making with double the hands.
Oh Julian. Julian, Julian, Julian. He’s so into this. Maybe it’s a magical mishap or maybe it’s planned but after the confusion and explanation, he’s into it. And absolutely YES spit roasting him is a must. His arms and legs are trembling with how forcefully he’s getting railed and he keeps choking on the one in front of him but he loves it too much to complain. He gets too fucked out to the point he’s practically drooling on you instead of actually giving you head, so you resort to face fucking him while the other you does your business at his back end. And oh yes he’s a major size queen. His first thought is ‘how do I get both inside me’. It takes some stretching but he’s so proud when he gets both of you fit snuggly inside him (and promptly loses it when you actually start moving)

Season 2, Episode 4: the fashionista caper
Liveblog for @csweekly
I’d like to start off by saying how blown away I am that the writing team keeps each caper so unique and fresh in a formulaic series. It’s one of my favorite things. I never once find myself truly bored with this show even watching it so many times.
Player….making a My Big Fat Greek Wedding reference? Out of anything they could start the episode with. Not sure what to make of that one besides cultural osmosis. It’s a little before his time.
Love Dash Haber as a villain. Capers not boring and neither are the operatives.
Lol the Cleaners just stop. Don’t react. Move on. Not dramatic enough for their viewing pleasure.
Is this when we get to say “no capes”?
Ever since Paper Star clipped Carmen’s hat once, Carmen is able to save it every time.
Tug of war over the hat is so funny to me.
Carmen doesn’t win all the time. Keeps things interesting.
You know, since it’s coming from Carmen, I legitimately can’t decide if she’s being overtly satirical, or if Coach Brunt actually does knit as a hobby. …no. No way Brunt has the patience. Carmen’s just mad.
APOCALYPSE. One of my favorite Zack moments.
Ahh the home base conversation. Equal parts touching and even mORE guilt wrenching for Shadowsan to hear. “If only I knew more about my past..” If only we could see his face when she says that line.
“The only thread I could pull…” Player making puns literally in his sleep at this point.
Shadowsan filling in Fashion Fest and the team’s REACTION to it. And then just his “Countess Cleo always took an interest.”
Cleo backstory!!! At least a basic one. Just makes me yearn for more. I get the feeling we would have gotten a lot of criminal backstories if we’d had more seasons.
Cookie! I’m glad they had her back for a full caper. Really tho, Carmen totally got her entire look from her LOL. There’s not as much ode to 90s Carmen in this episode through her than the laying it on thick they did in the first. I can’t decide if I like that or I’m disappointed there’s not more. Because in this caper she’s her own thing.
Zack is ALREADY including Shadowsan as dad please I’m so emotional about those two and what it says between the lines of Zack and Ivy’s past. This boy LATCHED onto the first male adult he was allowed to and said “we are going to bond”.
Julia it should be illegal to be this adorable.
Yeah. Different capers like I talked about in the opening paragraph. Going after 16th century gowns. This is a homage to older CS. Always the caper is something historical and unique rather than simply money or jewelry. Keeps the vibe from older iterations.
Also. Again. This entire episode foreshadows the dark red arc, everything leads to it. Brainwashing Carmen was ALWAYS on the table.
Oops. Sorry Zari (Stockholm is totally revenge for this moment)
Ahh and the beginnings of trusting Julia. Carmen’s got her pegged completely. Knows her heart is in it for history, and that whatever act she’s putting on isn’t really her. All that she could glean from their first and only interaction in India. Carmen almost ALMOST knocks her out like Zari, but ever the quick thinker, Carmen takes a chance with the knowledge she’s been given. She’s done the math and needs one more person.
Although I absolutely would have roared if Shadowsan got up on that stage.
The runway scene. Fantastic. And really you get a feel that this is actually the beginning of Julia’s arc in gaining confidence in herself. She already sticks up for herself, but this scene is what cements that 1. Carmen is not the bad guy 2 if she can get on that runway, she can stick her neck out with confidence for what she believes in. She doesn’t waver after this.
Also color theory. Carmen gives her her hat. Julia’s red shirt is gone but Carmen gives her this lifeline of friendship. Literally by verbally putting her in charge she’s telling Julia that she trusts her and wants to let her in on what the team is doing.
Ivy and Zack PLEASE. I love you enough already. You don’t have to go so hard on the runway.
It’s kinda cool how the models still walk like models in between the fighting.
Shadowsan’s strength is literally terrifying
LOL her eyebrow of incredulity to “which modeling agency are you with”
“Hackers can wear white hats after Labor Day” my gosh I love their banter. Everything is building up to Player’s s4 zinger of all time.
This hq idea is SO clever. Literally hiding in plain sight. The most home that Carmen can get right now. It’s my favorite thing.
“Zack got to have gelato and pizza” I love this family.
Huh I wonder if some or most of those silhouettes are based off of older iterations of ViLE operatives.
Such a solid and fun episode.
