sometimes I start thinking about Anna Triangle Strategy and like, she's one of the coolest characters ever, I love her lots, but she's also one of the funniest characters ever. Girl's like, an honors student in spy school, she's in her early 30s, she and her father-figure have the most convoluted, professional relationship known to parent-child relationships in the game, random kids love her bc she's nice to them and carries around snacks, she accidentally adopts a sentient automaton barrel as a child, she becomes the guardian-person older-family-member-figure for a child who can literally warp space-time and see the future, she attracts two edgy teens who are Going Through It bc they think she's cool and relatable--which is extra funny when you realize both teens are also delinquents and Anna's never actually committed a crime in her life (aside from the bribing and assassinating and stuff relating to her spy job, but she's never stolen anything, and seems so thrown off by the idea of these thief teens with dropout energy thinking she's the same as them) like

Anna Pascal really is one of the most characters of all time, and I love her

despite getting along with my uni project teammates pretty well i can't help but sense alienation. the deeper i get into the program, the more i notice how much of a boys' club tech field still is and how hard it is for its members to take me seriously (especially when i'm in a leadership role). we have times when we informally converse and joke around, but then we have a formal meeting and i can fill out an entire women in tech experiences bingo in twenty minutes (featuring being interrupted or totally ignored, guys taking credit for ideas i've expressed before, etc.). weird.

Thank you! Basically, when I was younger I had the delusion of “memorise every country in the world or else you’re a bad person,” followed by, “learn a brief history of every country in the world within 8 years or else you’re a bad person.” I learned in the order of history-mythology/religion-clothing, and I ended up loving the traditional clothing around and in Iran, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia, Bhutan, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, etc. It’s fairly difficult to find information about clothing in English, so I mostly pull from Hanfu for Cinder. Currently, I pretty much design how people would wear one today, ignoring old colour rules, pairing it with hair/accessories from separate dynasties, keeping bangs in hairstyles that otherwise would not have them, and sometimes adding in things that are more fantastical than historical. I would love to one day make futuristic designs, but I want to do that tastefully and respectfully, so, for now, I’m sticking closer to current-day interpretations.

yeah this is the version i would've preferred i guess. with mhok still going to the usa and it being emotional and him trusting day to take care of himself and forgiving himself for not having picked up his sister's phone call still being obstacles he has to work through; but without the break-up. i'm just not convinced break-ups are the only way to convey couples working through a rough patch and needing their own space to grow you know?

wiz goes in rum, mephisto in absinthe, alecto in beer, and astaroth in his own "vodka-based cocktails" category!

zhao is a more of a cider guy, but will occasionally have a shot of maotai - even though he hates the taste and it makes his entire face crumple like paper - and jian enjoys a fruity liqueur, but will settle for scotch as well!

as a bonus as well: prof kaz is a brandy man, prof magdalene indulges in champagne, and prof elderflower generally doesn't drink but likes being watered with anything fruit-based (that isn't fizzy) as a treat

The second warrant is not fake, but is an administrative rather than judicial warrant, and has no constitutional authority to bypass Fourth Amendment protections - in other words, it does not entitle the bearer to enter and search your home. It simply authorizes agents of the issuing department to contact you. Always ask to see the warrant before opening your door!

Unpleasant reminder: within 100 miles of the border (which is home to 200 million people and virtually all major cities in the US), ICE does not need a warrant to enter your home, your car, to search anything, or even to arrest you.

You are not automatically safe just because they don't have a real warrant.

The best and safest thing you can do is learn to have escape routes- quick ways to get out of the house or area you're in if you find out ICE or CBP are around. Those of us who do have documentation? Time for us to step the fuck up.

Film any interaction. Every interaction. If you're able, step into the conversation and be a Karen/Kyle- weaponize your privilege for Good. If you get asked about people? Use positive but vague statements so you a) cannot be caught in a lie, and b) do not give any information away.

When we run into an anti-endo post that claim endos are a danger, we feel bad to the core. (and this is despite the fact that we're traumagenic... It's just that we're not diagnosed, we don't feel like we're allowed to be in any of these spaces yet)

It reminds us heavily of the way we felt entering into "gender critical" spaces when we were questioning our transness.

This idea that, as long as this is not set in stone, as long as this is not diagnosed or handled by a proffesional, we can never put our foot down and say yes. this is how we exist, this is how we are, and no long term discussion about what kinds of people are allowed to exist will change the fact that, the most comfortable way to conceptualize of myself, is as a team.

We are not a system. I would never let us use that word, because it is medically significant, and i don't stand with a diagnosis that makes that word relevant.
