parental caretaker and kid writing prompts
- younger kid standing on their caretaker's shoes and rocking around. almost like they're dancing or waltzing.
- the thing where the caretaker pulls the kid closer to them by like wrapping their hand around their head and covering their ear and tucking them against them.
- kid sitting on caretaker's shoulders. always a good one.
- "shh, shh, I know, I know"
- any sort of "take me instead" situation, said by either character. devastating.
- dealing with sickness. like obviously the kid getting sick and accidentally calling their caretaker mum/dad/parent in their feverish delirium is super cute and top tier.
- BUT ALSO. hear me out. caretaker getting sick but trying to push through to look after their kid and their kid works super hard to make their job easier or look after them in small ways.
- kid hiding for some reason (minor anxiety or major trauma or anything in between) and the caretaker comforting them or trying to coax them out.
- caretaker sweeping kid up in a big ole bear hug and spinning em around.
- kid hiding behind caretaker.
- "you should be in bed" "I can't sleep" "...alright, get over here, you can stay up for five more minutes"
- caretaker and a maybe slightly older kid arguing and making up.
- caretaker picking up slightly older kid from a party that's gone wrong in some way.
- caretaker who's maybe less like a parent and more like an older sibling. they take their kid to abandoned buildings and eat cheap takeaway/takeout with them.
- caretaker teaching their slightly older kid life skills that they maybe didn't have the chance to pick up on when they were younger.
- or yk just caretaker teaching their younger kid life skills. like trying to get them involved with cooking and lifting them up to help grab things and letting them watch things get cut up and prepared.
- caretaker indulging their younger kid in tea parties with their stuffed animals.
- caretaker looking after a kid's comfort items (bonus point if the kid is older, and double bonus points if the kid is too embarrassed to care for their comfort items themselves).
- younger kid curled up by their caretaker while their caretaker plays videogames. bonus points if the caretaker lets them play like baby mode co-op (like luma in mario galaxy). bonus bonus points if the caretaker is like an older sibling and gives the kid an unplugged controller.
- older kid playing co-op with their caretaker and getting way too invested. bonus points if it's mario kart. bonus bonus points if they're showing each other their favourite games from their respective childhoods (because yk different eras).
- caretaker carrying an exhausted kid to bed.
- better yet, the kid pretends to fall asleep in the car so they can be carried inside (caretaker knows their game but is more than happy to carry them).
- caretaker having a hard day working late and coming home to their kid sleeping peacefully on the couch, clearly having waited for them to come home.
- kid having a hard day at school and caretaker is in the middle of making dinner for them.
- caretaker shielding kid from danger with their body.
- kid refusing to leave caretaker's side when they're both in danger.

I am going to rank even more of the Super Mario Galaxies and none of you can stop me
Yeah! There's a lot of these things!
Welcome to part 3/6 of me ranking all of the Super Mario Galaxies! Today we're gonna start tackling the A-tier galaxies, and since this is the biggest tier, we're splitting it into two parts, with one half this week and the other half the next! If you missed the previous posts, here's the low tiers, and here's the B-tiers!
I feel obligated to remind everyone this series is happening Every Sunday until we run out of galaxies to talk about, and also that the opinions in this post are my own and do not necessarily reflect my employer or coworkers. Spikey cried when I put Gold Leaf Galaxy in the B-tier. I'm sorry, Spikey. I didn't mean it personally, I swear!
Per usual, rankings begin below the cut!
50. Bowser's Star Reactor
Game: Super Mario Galaxy Tier: A
This is just a really solid Bowser Galaxy, you know? I think what makes this one stand out to me is just how well I feel it takes advantage of Super Mario Galaxy's game mechanics. The beginning segment with the winding multicolor path around a Black Hole always stood out to me as a really memorable sequence, and this is actually the first Galaxy we're covering that utilizes Gravity Walls! Yippee! I like Gravity Walls a lot. Makes for memorable 2D platforming sections. Expect to see more of them in this tier.
I think the atmosphere in this Galaxy is pretty top-notch. Something all the Bowser Galaxies have in this game that I really, really like is the crumbling staircase you have to jump up as you approach Bowser, especially with how the stairs are just a little too big to walk, and especially with the optional health upgrades you can grab at the expense of your time. Really good sequence. I think for being the first Bowser Galaxy in these games, it stands out to me a bit more in this galaxy in particular. First impressions can be important, people!
That being said, I will be upfront and say I might've overrated this one a little bit when making the list. But give me a break! There's 91 of these things! Do you think I'm gonna have an easy time putting each and every one in the exact correct place? My gut told me this belongs in A-tier, and by the time I was re-assessing it, the B-tier post was already on the blog. But I'll also say that if my gut told me this belongs in A-tier, then that probably says this galaxy is doing something right.
49. Rolling Coaster Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
You know, it's weird that for being such an Iconic Mario Location, Rainbow Road pretty much never shows up in the mainline games. There's usually some sort of Star World or Special Zone, but rarely are they actually Rainbow Road Like The One From Mario Kart.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is one of the rare exceptions, though, bringing us Rainbow Road in the form of a Star Ball level! Personally, I like this a bit more as a final, challenging version of the minigame more than Rolling Gizmo Galaxy, because it leans a bit harder into what makes these levels fun. Not only are you going to be building momentum, it's almost essential that you keep that momentum to make some of these really sharp turns! Plus it also offers more challenging side paths For Super Players, which happen to be where the Comet Medal goes because of course it is.
On the subject of the Comet Medal: the Purple Coin star here is BRUTAL and I'm not sure whether I like it or not, but I think it makes sense for it to be given this is one of the last galaxies in the game. You're given a little leeway, but not much, since you have to grab 100 and there's 110 coins total! It's really difficult, and sometimes frustrating because of the control scheme (there's a reason this is towards the bottom of A-tier), but I don't know if I'd say it's unfair, and otherwise this galaxy gives me a lot to like.
48. Honeybloom Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
Now this is what I'm talking about! A galaxy that takes advantages of the Bee Mushroom's mechanics while also having a solid identity of its own beyond "Honeyhive but different", I like it!
I think it was a really smart idea to make a 2D platforming level with the Bee Mushroom. Its mechanics work surprisingly well in 2D, and it serves as a nice way to familiarize the player with the Bee Mushroom before letting them use it in 3D a bit later on. I do think the powerup is better suited to 3D gameplay, but Honeybloom Galaxy is a fun change of pace I can always appreciate.
Lots of fun segments here, too! I especially love the segment with all the Spindleburrs and Trapdragons at the end (both enemies I feel like this blog should cover at some point if we haven't already). Creates this fun feeling of urgency. The bits where you bounce around on the giant grapes are also pretty good, and a fun way to show off the Bee Mushroom's flight mechanics.
Shoutout to the one mission in this galaxy where you just wall jump for a minute to grab a star. I think it's one of the easiest missions in the entire series but it is funny so it's okay.
I only realized in hindsight that I never made a "Bee-Tier" joke for Honeyhop Galaxy or Gold Leaf Galaxy so uhhhh Hey, what's this Galaxy doing here? It clearly belongs in Bee-Tier!
There. Nailed it. (I stand by it being an A-Tier galaxy don't worry)
47. Throwback Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
waow... so freaken retro...
I know I've been a bit harsh on recycled content, and trust me, I'll go ahead and say that's probably why this one didn't land highter, but I also feel like a one-to-one remake of a mission from Super Mario 64 has a bit of a different vibe, you know? Feels less like filler, more like a fun homage to a previous game. Helps that Whomp's Fortress is just a really good level in general, that fits pretty well in this game. Something like Bob-omb Battlefield might have been more iconic, but Whomp's Fortress was already basically a floating planet! It fits right in!
Though that raises an important question, are Throwback Galaxy and Whomp's Fortress one and the same? People have always asked what the paintings in Super Mario 64 represent like, in-universe, if they're paintings of real locations that warp you to those places, or if the worlds only exist in the context of the paintings, which transport you to a sort of fantasy land... Is the painting of Whomp's Fortress a portal to a far-away galaxy? Or is Mario set in an infinite universe where this sort of oddity is merely inevitable? These are the questions that keep us Weird Mario Scholars up at night.
I think the new additions to Throwback are really neat too, the new-and-improved Whomp King boss fight is such a fun way to make a fight that's both familiar and fresh, and the second mission with the Silver Stars manages to create a fun new experience in this familiar location. It's not like they just ported over Whomp's Fortress and called it a day, the extra level of care put into Throwback Galaxy ends up elevating it quite a bit, to me.
46. Sky Station Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
We're halfway through the rankings! Are you enjoying this? You're probably enjoying this if you bothered to read this far. But if you're not... please find something better to do with your time! Life is better when you're doing things you actually enjoy doing! Mod Hooligon's Tip!
What were we talking about again? Oh yeah, Super Mario Galaxies. This is the first galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2, and it's a pretty good one. It's no Good Egg Galaxy, but I still enjoy it, I think it's solid as an introduction to the game's mechanics with some memorable segments, like those asteroids with the weird gravity, the rolling stone platforms around the cylindrical planet, and the part where you get to destroy all the Banzai Bills with a star. It also has the boss fight against Peewee Piranha! Which First Boss Piranha Plant is your favorite? Petey Piranha vs. Dino Piranha vs. Peewee Piranha Splatfest, coming soon!
This galaxy's music from the first mission is like, the main theme of Super Mario Galaxy 2, but honestly I like the music in the second mission way more. Feels grander and more cohesive to me. Actually, the second mission feels more cohesive in general... Really leans into that "Sky Station" theme. I like it!
45. Spin-Dig Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
Lots of the early-game galaxies in Super Mario Galaxy 2 are dedicated to introducing the game's new power-ups, and Spin-Dig Galaxy is one of such galaxies, built around the Spin Drill. Here's a Joke for you: Why did the Mario use the Spin Drill to dig through a planetoid? To get to the other side! Yeah, I don't get it either.
The Spin Drill might not be the strongest addition of Galaxy 2's new power-ups due to its limited moveset (dig hole), but it does do a pretty good job taking advantage of these games' existing gravity mechanics, which Spin-Dig Galaxy is more than happy to lean into. It makes for fun tests of your spacial awareness, building puzzles around having you figure out where you'll end up after tunneling straight through each planet's surface, (though the game usually has some well-placed dirt blocks or craters to help you figure it out). Unlike Earth, there's no water here so the answer will never be "The Ocean".
The missions here are pretty solid too. Digga-Leg is no Megaleg, but still makes for a fun boss built around using your drill at the right place with the right timing, and I like the Silver Star mission here quite a bit, where they're all buried underground on a large, rectangular planet. Consistently fun all around!
44. Yoshi Star Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
Yoshi! Everyone loves Yoshi except for the people who don't. But I'm not "people who don't" so needless to say, I like his galaxy. Yoshi is one of the big New Features in Galaxy 2, so it makes sense they'd design one of the first galaxies in the game around showing him off.
And to that extent, I think they do a pretty good job! The first planet is one of the bigger planets in Galaxy 2, and it has all the stuff you need to get acquainted with Yoshi. Lots of fruits and enemies to eat, mud that slows down Mario but not Yoshi, a Smeech (so you know that there's enemies that specifically target Yoshi), etc. I feel like I'm saying Yoshi a lot in this section. Almost as much as The Dinosaur Himself. Yoshi Yoshi.
Anything not shown off in the first planet is generally explored in the rest of the galaxy, like enemies that Yoshi needs to pull back to eat, those weird flower things you lick to gain height, and enemies you can fire back as projectiles. They don't show off the Yoshi Power-ups here, but those get their own galaxies generally.
Really, I appreciate Yoshi Star for balancing being a good tutorial, while also still just being plain fun if you're already familiar with the game. It plays a really nice balancing act of showing off all the intricacies of Yoshi's moveset without being too handholdy, meaning it accomplishes all of its goals without ever feeling like a drag on replays.
43. Haunty Halls Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
There are g-g-g-ghosts in this g-g-g-galaxy, and I gotta say, I think that's g-g-g-great! I'll stop now. Haunty Halls is a galaxy that sorta ends up living in the shadow of the Cooler Ghost Galaxies, because there's a few of them and the others get really good, but it's still a pretty great time in its own right. What can I say? "Ghost" as it turns out is just a really solid theme to build a galaxy around.
Compared to the other ghost galaxies, Haunty Halls is a bit more linear, which I think knocks it down a little in my book, but it's not like the galaxy doesn't take advantage of that fact. The galaxy has some nice platforming challenges along moving floors, where you have to keep on pace with the path and avoid hitting the dark matter walls, and when you're being chased by Big Boos or Cosmic Clones, it means there's not a lot of room to hide, which lets this galaxy keep up the tension a bit.
This is also the introduction of the Bulb Berry and not the introduction of Mattermouths, both facts you would be familiar with if you read the last post. Everything I said about the Bulb Berry there still applies here, though as its introduction, this one tends to be a bit more forgiving. There's Bulb Berries all over the place in that mansion! That being said, I still appreciate the optional question mark blocks you can try and hit while worrying about the timer. Fun optional challenges like that are always appreciated here!
42. Battle Belt Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
I'm realizing how much of this post has been dedicated to Super Mario Galaxy 2. As I mentioned, this game is remarkably consistent. Most of its galaxies cluster around the A-tier. In general, compared to the first game's bigger missions, they tend to be a bit less elaborate and more linear, but as a result they also tend to get the most out of their concepts when compared to the smaller ones. Battle Belt is a really good example of this design philosophy, I think. It's simple, it's straightforward, it has an idea and is determined to COMMIT to it.
Battle Belt Galaxy serves as a tour of the game's various Weird Mario Enemies, giving each enemy their own planetoid, and leaving it to you to figure out how to defeat them. It sticks to that concept pretty much to the very end, only maybe deviating for the secret Fire Gobblegut boss fight, and even then, that's still a new spin on a familiar foe so it doesn't really feel out of place here. On one hand, you could argue that Battle Belt feels a bit repetitive because of this, and to some extent it is, but the enemies and their respective planets are varied enough that it rarely ends up feeling dull to me.
I also appreciate how this galaxy is so late in the game. It's not the hardest galaxy in Galaxy 2, but it ends up feeling a bit like a pop quiz, testing your familiarity with each enemy and if you remember how to defeat each one. And on that note, I really love that this galaxy gets a Daredevil Comet. That's usually reserved for boss fights, but using it for a fight against several small foes makes it feel a lot more unique.
41. Shiverburn Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
Admittedly, this galaxy kinda always struck me as "Freezeflame Galaxy's less cool younger brother", but I don't know if that's really fair to Shiverburn. I mean, it's not an inaccurate statement of what this galaxy is, but I think it makes this galaxy sound a lot weaker than it actually is, because it certainly brings some fun new ideas to the table even with the shared theme, and unlike Freezeflame, which sort of saves the "Hot and Cold Collide" theme for the final mission, called "Hot and Cold Collide," Shiverburn gives you that theme right out the gate. I appreciate that!
It leads to some fun segments like at the beginning, where you have to carefully traverse around a lava pool before freezing it, turning the whole thing into a skating rink, or the segment where flaming meteors create pools of lava in the ice. I kinda wish the Ice Flower was in this game, I think this galaxy could make good use of it, though we do get the Cloud Flower, which I won't complain about. It gets used for maybe the toughest Green Star in the entire game.
I also really like the Prince Pikante boss fight, which does a lot better as a twist on King Kaliente's fight than the King Kaliente rematch in the first game. The icy floor makes for a unique boss arena, since you're gonna be spinning to deflect the coconuts, which puts you in Ice Skating mode, which is a bit more mobile but also more difficult to control, which makes the fact you're fighting an octopus in a speedy tank that creates lava pools all the more hectic and enjoyable.
And because I feel inclined to mention them, this is the home of the Hell Valley Sky Trees. Apparently they're named after a place in Japan called Hell Valley, which has hot springs surrounded by snow. Neat!
40. Beat Block Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
Now THIS is how you do an uncomplicated one-off gimmick galaxy! The first game kinda struggled with these, but I feel the sequel generally fares a lot better in this regard, with more unique gimmicks and more elaborate layouts.
Beat Blocks (also known as Beep Blocks in later installments) are such a fun level gimmick. So fun we apparently have a post on them, but don't ask me where it came from. You can ask me where Beat Blocks come from though, because they come from here! And I think they're a pretty fun gimmick! This is a galaxy that really makes you get in the groove of the music, alternating where the solid ground is every couple measures. As you'd probably expect from a galaxy like this, it slowly becomes more and more elaborate, making the non-Beat Block ground more and more sparse until you're collecting Silver Stars on a pyramid made entirely out of Beat Blocks with no other ground to stand on.
Did Beep Block Skyway in 3D World kinda eat this galaxy's lunch with a cooler take on the same gimmick? Yeah, but all great gimmicks gotta start somewhere. We needed Beat Block Galaxy to run so Beep Block Skyway could run but like, really really fast.
It kinda bothers me that the Comet mission is called "Silver Stars in Double Time" when the Beat Blocks are actually moving four times faster, with only a single beat between alternations instead of two measures. It's a good mission I'm just bothered by the name.
39. Fleet Glide Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
Oh yeah this one's BAD ASS!
So much so that I had to drop a PG-rated swear to talk about it! Fleet Glide Galaxy seems to exist to fill the niche that the Trial Galaxies did in the first game, providing a difficult version of an earlier-introduced motion control minigame not for the faint of heart. It even follows the same naming convention in Japanese, being called "Challenge Glider Galaxy"! Neato!
Fleet Glide Galaxy is pretty difficult, but in a way I like, where it feels like a solid test of what you've learned earlier. Lots of narrow obstacles to weave between, enemies like Magmarrghs, Thwomps, and Undergrunt Gunners blocking your way, and much like Wild Glide Galaxy, an optional challenge of gliding through five rings to grab this galaxy's Comet Medal. The whole thing also takes place on a BATTLESTATION ROCKETSHIP, which feels like a pretty wild departure from the serene jungle scenery of the Wild Glide Galaxy.
In particular I love the bit at the end, where you have to make a mad dash for the escape before a large garage door closes in on you, all while narrowly dodging several tall pillars scattered throughout the room. Really, this one mostly made it so high on account of just how cool it feels to play through it. I can sort of give or take gliding with Fluzzard, but it's hard for me to play through Fleet Glide Galaxy without feeling a bit of an endorphin rush.
38. Fluffy Bluff Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
That's right! It's another Early-Game Super Mario Galaxy 2 Galaxy That Introduces A New Power-Up! As I said, there's a few of them. But Fluffy Bluff Galaxy gets a bit of an edge to me, since it introduces the Cloud Flower, which is such a great power-up, I think. Like I've mentioned before how much of a delight I think it is, but the mix of being able to create new platforms at will and the floatier physics makes for some really fun platforming.
Really, Fluffy Bluff Galaxy has a few things going for it. It's the first appearance of the Cloud Flowers, the first appearance of Whittles, the first appearance of The Chimp, lots of Super Mario Galaxy 2 hallmarks make their debut here. Let's be honest with ourselves: Super Mario Galaxy wouldn't be half the game it is if it didn't have a cool monkey wearing sunglasses that challenges you to... challenges.
Fluffy Bluff Galaxy, as you can probably expect, is on the easier side, but takes solid advantage of its new power-up, and is also just like, a really nice Environment. It feels a little more elaborate than a lot of places in Galaxy 2, and I'm chalking it up to the mountains. They're just a little extra set dressing that makes this place feel a lot more Robust to me.
37. Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
Here we have what I consider the best of the Star Ball galaxies*, Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy! Is it worthy of the title of Masterpiece? Maybe not quite, but it's still really good. So good I moved it up like ten spots in the process of writing this post! Whenever I go to Rolling Masterpiece, I have a ball!
Rolling Masterpiece ends up feeling like the best of these missions to me, mostly in part to its fun and varied obstacles that take full advantage of the Star Ball's mechanics, and honestly it brings a lot of new things to the table too. Like, writing this made me realize this is the only Star Ball galaxy that has you rolling around a sphere. Feels weird they only did that once, given "running around spheres" is like, one of the main things Super Mario Galaxy does.
Rolling Masterpiece has a lot of fun taking mechanics from other galaxies, but recontextualizing them by using them in a Star Ball mission. Stuff like the Space Junk assembly blocks, the Flipswitches, and the wooden blocks being cut apart by saws aren't unique to this galaxy, but end up making really interesting obstacles here, and I think it helps to use mechanics the players are already familiar with so they have some idea of how to approach them. And even if you want something wholly original, you have the Silver Chomp grudge match at the end to look forward to.
*There is one more galaxy that uses the Star Ball that we haven't talked about yet, but it's not really a "Star Ball" galaxy. It'll be a while before we get to it.
36. Flip-Swap Galaxy
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tier: A
Wrapping up today's list, we have another relatively simple galaxy built around a really solid gimmick that would continue to make regular appearances in the 3D Place Games. The sequel's Hungry Luma galaxies generally fare much better than the first game's.
The Red-and-Blue Flip-Swap Tiles are such a cool gimmick. The spin mechanic is so integral to Super Mario Galaxy's level design, that building a level around having to be more careful about where and when you use it ends up feeling brilliant, especially with how it escalates over time. Sure, you might want to spin jump over those electric fences, but be careful, or else you'll be taking the ground out from under you!
As the galaxy goes on, it continues to get better than better, particularly towards the end, which has a memorable segment where Chomps will appear out of portals, alternating between the red and blue tiles, making you time out which path is safer at which moment, and the end sequence, where there's tiles placed far enough apart that you instinctively want to spin jump, but doing so is a bad idea. They did such a good job designing this galaxy around its central gimmick, and I love it for that.
And unlike Beat Block, I think I do generally like this one more than its successors, even if Cakewalk Flip is the absolute funniest stage to do multiplayer on in 3D World. I also like how this galaxy allows for the optional challenge of beating it with only the red or blue tiles active! I've never tried it myself, but I know both are possible, which is really cool.
In conclusion:
And that marks it for today's post! Once again feel free to give your thoughts, as to where you agree and/or disagree! Sorry to that one person that wanted me to put both gliding galaxies in F-Tier. I like Fleet Glide Galaxy too much to do that, I hope you understand.
Next week, we'll cover the rest of the A-Tiers! I'll make sure to link it here when it goes live! Prob... probably.
(EDIT: It took two weeks but here you go!)

What is your biggest hot takes when it comes to the Mario franchise?
Oh boy
Super Mario RPG is horribly overrated and not a good Mario RPG
Galaxy 2 doesn't come close to how amazing Galaxy 1 was (2 is still a top tier game)
The lack of continuity and the "blandness" the series has sometimes is not exactly a bad thing Mario being easy to recognise and mold into any role really helps with the franchise variety
Super Circuit is one of the better Mario Karts
Mario Kart 7 is one of the worst Mario Karts
The Super Mario Bros Movie is really not that good, it could have been but that pacing issue and the dozens of weird plotholes, yeesh
Movie Peach strays way too far from her Game personality, yes, she is a badass but she's also elegent, girly and graceful, which I didn't really get from the movie version
Bowser is singlehandly the best character ever made
Sonic the Hedgehog is more interesting series
Mario sucks

Booster Course Pass Wave 4 is dropping tomorrow seemingly and wanted to detail some thoughts here because easier than twitter:
Ninja Hideaway is i think still the standout track from this DLC, it’s the most unique track by far and offers a challenge not present in any other track in the game, I could 100% see this track not being for everyone as it features some pretty harsh turns (the one after the raising platforms is probably the most infamous) but i can really enjoy anything new that feels intentionally difficult instead of accidentally, the track’s biggest weakness is being an early wave track so visually the Tour visual plastic-ness kinda effects the track unfortunately as i imagine it could’ve been an absolutely gorgeous track with 8′s base game art style
Ironically despite what I just said i think on the whole the tracks coming from Tour as originals (The City and Nitro tracks) tend to feel a bit weaker than tracks based on old tracks. New York Minute is the strongest of the city tracks to me having the best blend of the different path gimmicks while having paths that aren’t really awkward and confusing. the mini map not updating upon a lap change genuinely knocks these tracks down a full tier usually. On top of that I tend to just not love the visual direction and atmosphere of these tracks and the fact there’s so many of them (up to 3 per wave) can sometimes feel a bit much, even if I understand why that is, wanting to preserve the Tour courses. Fortunately the City tracks that have yet to be added to 8 Deluxe are among the better ones and i’m looking forward to it!
On the topic of Tour tracks: Sky High Sundae is maybe the worst track in all of Mario Kart 8 and i’m not even joking. It’s the 3rd “perfect oval” track in the game is easily the weakest. Baby Park’s simple circle design is enclosed to heavily push crazy interactions with items and other players creating a chaotic atmosphere and Excitebike has some decent shortcuts and trick ramps on top of a randomized gimmick. Sky High sundae is just boring, the anti-grav gimmick feels really pasted on to have anything on the track but ironically makes it feel a lot slower than it actually should. Finally it’s just kinda ugly? it looks like a roblox world with free models plastered everywhere. On the whole a waste of a fun theme
3DS Toad Circuit sucks too but like in a funny way. Your friends will get mad at you if you pick it in call which is funny
The 3 biggest “downgrades” from the original tracks to me include Maple Treeway, which while is still solid, i think changed a few things and includes a few things from the 7 version i don’t love, the glider section is not as fun and dynamic as the wii version, I also think Wii’s version has the far better palette and atmosphere, but that’s nerd shit only I care about LOL. Wii Coconut Mall feels kinda butchered in general, it looks ugly and makes changes that overall dampen the track, the Cars spin at the end now but the section where they moved back and forth with boosts in front of them was a very intentionally designed challenge where as the current spinning cars feels really uninspired. Finally Sky Garden feels like it lacks the color choices and design of the original and dampens the layout to an overall boring track
GBA Snow Land is the big surprise of the pass to me, It’s deceivingly simple but the layout is incredibly fun and encourages fun short cuts and mushroom usage which is always a lot of fun to interact with, it’s also one of the far better looking tracks in the booster pass
I’ll get flack for this but I think 3DS rainbow road is a bit overrated. maybe that’s not the right word but I think it lacks what i tend to like about rainbow road which is a real sense of challenge. 3DS rainbow road is really. easy? am i the only who feels that way haha. For as much flack as 8′s new rainbow road gets, it’s a track that offers a substantial challenge with lots of tough turns and places to fall off. I also think 8′s version of n64 rainbow road(a track that i think sucks in the original) is a better “easy” rainbow road, looking more visually exciting and feeling intentionally designed to be a victory lap of sorts
final thing, what in the world is up with the grass textures in this DLC, they seem to swap between a grass akin to the base game and this weird ugly plastic bright lime green. Rock Rock Mountain suffers the worst from this. actively looking worse than the 3DS original to me, feeling less like a drive around a mountain side and feeling more like i’m in a playset
overall I think the booster course pass started really really rough and while I think it still hasn’t reached base game’s quality it has gotten way better and wave 4 is looking to be the highest quality wave yet

On a bit of a tier list kick and realised “goddamn I’ve played a lot of different Mario Kart games recently” so decided to rank them :D
Notes below:
Idc what anyone says Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the most fun I’ve had playing any of these. “But it’s so much easier” “but the booster course is just a cash grab” I don’t care!! I enjoy it!! There so many tracks to choose from and all of their soundtracks are so goddamn good!! Plus the booster course is slowly improving the character roster which is amazing!! I know it’s the old “new=good” thing but this time it’s true I’m sorry
On the other hand, Mario Kart Wii. I’m nostalgic I’m sorry but can you really blame me when this game literally ruled my childhood from ages 5-10? So many cool and iconic nitro tracks and the best character roster in the whole series. I’d love to play it again if my wii remotes weren’t broken
Okay so I didn’t remember all that much about Mario Kart DS. I knew I had it when I was a kid but other than a few courses I had mostly forgotten about the game, but I bought it second hand the other day and omg. This game slaps. It’s so fucking fun and I can’t believe I forgot about it. Straight to top A tier
Mario Kart 7 is also probably a nostalgia based pick tbh but it was the game that actually made me play Mario Kart properly. I learned to drift in MK7 and overall appreciated the competitive side of the series a lot more. Also it has my all time favourite track, Melody Motorway :) (or Music Park for Americans)
Honestly the only reason I enjoyed Mario Kart 64 as much as I did was because it’s so fucking chaotic and brutal to the point where it’s funny. Drifted too far? Approached the jump awkwardly? Oops you’re now facing backwards and in last place! Some of the courses are ridiculously long *cough* Rainbow Road which lowers it
Probably a bit controversial but I do enjoy Tour. I haven’t played in over a year but late 2021 - mid 2022 I played it to DEATH because one of my irls got me back into it and coincidentally this was a pretty rough period in my life, so I do owe it one for keeping me stable. Kinda sucked that they got rid of the gatcha feature though :(
Mario Kart Super Circuit is really tricky for me but I really like the graphics. That’s probably it’s only saving grace lmao. Maybe I just find the GBA era of pixel graphics to be endearing idk. It has the same level of brutality as N64 but nowhere near as fun
I have played the arcade game a few times in amusements and it is fun :) that’s it. I don’t play it enough to actually have a proper opinion.
Og Mario Kart is very annoying and the tracks and boring. If I see their asses as a retro track I am not happy >:(
Never owned a Wii U so I never played the og Mario Kart 8 but all I know is that MK8D vastly improved on a lot of its flaws over the years so ultimately it is just better. Also I desperately want to play Double Dash (please add GameCube games to the switch Nintendo holy shit) and I would rank it high because all the tracks that have been turned into retro tracks are so so fun.

Who were your mains in each smash game and do you play competitively?
I do not play competitively, Im one of the best players in my friend group but I still get smoked online and don't fully understand all the advance techniques and head games that online players like to play, I don't enjoy playing against those types of players. I don't hold anything against them either, for me, i'm fine playing against my friends or high level CPU players.
And I don't really do "mains" either. Smash Bros brings together many characters I love from their source material, so I play a little bit of everyone. So here's what I'll do and make a tier list for each game, and how much I play as that character. Enjoy, because everyone loves tier lists, right?
Keep in mind, this is reflecting my habits at the time these games were new. Familiarity with the characters colored things a bit, and I can't fully explain why the amount I play certain characters changed between games, so don't follow this up with questions like "What changed between this smash game and that smash game to make you play this character less" because I just won't know how to answer.
Anyway here it is, Smash 64, when Mario and Pokemon was the only thing I cared about but other characters had my interest:
Melee, when being able to play as Bowser was still a huge novelty, outside of Mario Kart and Mario RPG, it just never really happened. Falcon was just really really good. Also keep in mind not to take it too literal when I say "Never play as them" I do try out everyone at least once, if I don't like them from their source material, and their gameplay doesn't click with me, I just feel zero incentive to play as them.
Then we got to Brawl. Sonic was my biggest obsession ever during the gamecube years and I wanted him in this game like you wouldn't believe. Yoshi fell out of favor with me, Fox felt weaker and they used his appallingly bad command design. This game is probably the closest I came to ever having "mains" because the amount I played the charaters in the top is very disproportionate to the amount I played the top in other games.
Then the most forgettable Smash... not the top slot is still largely the same but with two new characters. Caveat - I only play Bowser Junior as Wendy.
And finally, Smash Ultimate, which probably has me playing more characters than any other Smash game. I honestly probably could have put more characters in the top slot, it's just that I don't play the game as often as I used to because my friends don't get together as often as we used to, and they're all pretty burned out on Smash Bros ( not me, I could play this game forever. )
Bonus, Smash Remix.

Dating Denki Kaminari
Denki has ADHD and dyslexia, making any kind of studying awful. There have been many times you had read textbooks to Denki while he listened happily
Even after graduation, Denki still loves to lay with his head in your lap while you read stories to him
Your first kiss with Denki was quite literally electric. He accidentally shocked you because he was excited
When Denki gets frustrated his entire body becomes covered in a static charge, making study dates a bit more interesting
When you go to places with large crowds, Denki keeps a tight hold on your hand
When Denki gets brain fried- be from his quirk or a long day of forced focus- he likes to play with your fingers, wiggling and moving them absentmindedly
Good morning and good night calls or texts are very calming for Denki if he is away on a mission. He also loves when you text him randomly throughout the day
You often have to remind Denki to take breaks when he gets enthralled with a video game, he can get so lost in the game he will even forget to use the bathroom
Denki's love language is words of affirmation and he will blush furiously if you leave him note around the house
Denki loves to play video games with you; his favorites to play together are Just Dance and Mario Kart because he likes competitions
Denki will flirt with you all day but the second you flirt back, he turns cherry red and sputters things that could possibly be words
If you have kids, Denki would build lego sets or play video games with them all day without a second thought, completely forgetting he was in charge of dinner
Denki loves to kiss you- on the cheek, the lips, your hand- it doesn't matter. Denki will kiss you every chance he gets
Denki is either the worst or the best morning person with no in between. Either he wakes up on the 1st beep of the alarm ready to go or he hits snooze 8 times
Denki has an alarm set on his phone to take his meds but still forgets, so you also have an alarm set for him to take his meds.
Denki loves to go on movie dates, especially if there's a new Marvel or DC move out but, for nights in, Disney princess movies are top tier in his opinion and yes, Mulan counts too
Denki's favorite Disney movie is a tie between Tangled and Up. Tangled is exciting and cute and Pascal reminds him of Bakugou- but don't tell him he said that! Up, on the other hand, is beautiful and it makes him cry every time. Doug is his favorite but he loves all the dogs
Denki convinced you to rescue a sweet natured dog named Bates. A month later, Denki wanted to adopt another dog and name him Master. You said no.
Denki and you sleep under a weighted blanket every night and keep a spare for tips or missions but Denki says you being there is better than the blanket
Denki makes terrible dad jokes and is willing to go a very long was for a joke. He once called you 'Hungry' for an hour
Couch cuddles are a form of currency in your house. Ten minutes of couch cuddles will even buy you out of dishes
Denki gets covered in freckles during the summer months. You gained the habbit of kissing his freckles and Denki noticed and started spending more time outside so he had more to kiss
Denki will go from talking about the theoretical importance of a strong parental roll being substituted by children for a hero figure to forgetting the word cape in the same breath
Denki likes to marathon different animes while cuddling on the couch when you both have a day off
Denki has a small obsession with sports animes- his chaotic bisexual nature showing itself- and has a love-hate relationship with Food Wars
Denki will lay on top of you and hide his face in your chest when he's embarrassed. It often leads to his falling asleep on top of you as well
Denki gets excited when you go to red carpets or hero events with him. Having you there builds his confidence
Denki will randomly pull you away from whatever you're doing to dance with you
Pro-Hero Denki has a large fan base of chaotic teenagers. They are not allowed to have meet and greets without you or another Hero babysitting
Pro-Hero Denki will walk the red carpet with you on his arm and will absolutely know he's hot shit with you on his arm

hi! could you do platonic shigaraki, dabi and toga with a sister figure reader who is one of the strongest members of the lov but she has anemia so she sometimes passes out, gets tired easily and can't phsycially fight? also she has a nullifying and killing quirk so her quirks makes up for her being anemic? i hope this makes sense! have a nice day!!
— Edgy Boi Brothers™️
pairing(s): platonic touya todoroki x tomura shigaraki x female!reader
wc: 0.6k+ words
content: not much honestly, just shiggy and dabi being shiggy and dabi d( ̄ ̄)
notes: this was fun honestly! i barely get the chance to write platonic stuff and i love me some good sibling figures/friendships B)) thank you for the request and i hope you like what i did!
⇉ requests are open!! || main masterlist || rules
let’s talk about how you got into this situation in the first place, huh?
when you first met the two, dabi was the easiest to hang out with on the surface
he was easy to talk to,,, if talking meant endless teasing about almost everything: whether height, style, etc.
and shigaraki was your boss! he’s busy doing all the planning and,, whatever leaders of a top tier villain group do
the only big interactions you all had were during the dirty work—and it was only a few passing sentences at most
it was like that for a solid week
it was only during a certain big mission where you let your quirk really shine that things started to change for you three
seeing the power you held plus having to deal with you passing out randomly is what started you and them to interact in more “meaningful” ways
and by meaningful, i mean:
dabi: “so. really powerful quirk that backfires on you a lot physically too? niceeee wanna grab some ramen or something?”
shiggy: “oh shoot i kinda just hired you cause you looked cool but you’re actually hella strong you wouldn’t mind sticking around right—?”
that’s basically how it went down afterwards
and dabi and shigaraki didn’t normally get along that well—they argued every minute they were together—so you became the glue in this,,, well, whatever this thing was
it took some getting used to, but once you three got comfortable,,,
i feel back for the public
there is a new trio out on the streets and there is about 0.01% chance of stopping them
shiggy hunts down the people and makes the threatening monologues as a villain leader does, dabi makes the dramatic entrance and the first few warning hits on the people, and you finish the people off if they don’t comply
big three of UA finna watch out
the lov learned to appreciate what you brought to the table real fast, despite the disadvantages your quirk had
also can’t have the powerhouse of the league go dying so kurogiri supplies you with iron pills \(//∇//)\ we stan the only member with brain cells
and toga tries to give you vials of blood
an attempt was made
as siblings do, you three have some totally loving and appreciative interactions:
you: *walks into a room*
shigaraki: hey Idiot™️, grab me some chips from the kitchen
you: do it yourself, fatass
dabi: *walks into the room*
shigaraki: crusty, tell (y/n) to get me chips
dabi: you’re one to call crusty
you: hah—
dabi: nah nah nah, you can’t laugh
you: bro you wanna go?
dabi: try me bitch
shigaraki: *pulls out his phone as the two of you beat each other up* loser gets me chips
the others would step in and try to stop you guys, but you’re the top three strongest members of the league and they dont really wanna risk getting Got™️
Other Basic Interactions May Include:
playing video games with shigaraki any time he’s free (usually mario kart, smash, etc, and shiggy gets very competitive very quickly)
listening to classical music with dabi while laying on the floor and contemplating any and all existance (he can respect some classical i think)
trying to bake with each of them for the lov and each failing in their own respective ways
and more!
it’s great
…
though
when push comes to shove
(and dabi and shiggy don’t really show it most of the time)
…
they care about you
throughout all the crimes and bloodshed and moments that really showed you all just how much society despises people like you, they learned to really see you like a sister
talk about a recent hero who’s been giving you butterflies? they’re gonna wanna know the name, address, zodiac sign, and more
someone jumped you on the way to the base? they’re on it—whoever it was will never see the light of day again
have a bad day?
they will ultimately be by your side
their progress may be slow because lord knows what their past did to them, but they’re slowly learning how to care again
all thanks to you

so i wrote like half of this ask and then my cat started screaming so i went to go check on her and then i came back to finish writing it but it was gone. sad times :(( alright so! this is the one i have today, cc!feral boys with a friend who is a wolf hyrbrid, and plot twist, sapnap is also one! dream is the only one who knows about the two, and him and the rest of the boys are all human. so all the boys know that sapnap and reader aren't officially dating, but they are very close and spend a lot of time together, lots of fooling around, the boys assume. but one day as they're all hanging out, dream accidentally slips up and mentions that sapnap and reader are mates, but he tries to cover up his mishap because sapnap and reader are staring him down and whatnot. and so later reader and sapnap collectively decide to sit down with the group and explain their situation so that there's not an unexpected reveal or miscommunication. reader is pretty calm about it, and so is dream, but sapnap is just kinda freaking out about it. the rest of the boys are suprised, of course, but reader and sapnap being wolves doesn't change their friendship. so all in the end, they dog pile on the couch (quite literally might i add) and watch movies :)) sorry this is so long, i didnt want to miss anything! thank you as always <3 -froggy/tori
I’m a sucker for anything dog or wolf related, I had way too much fun writing this <3 you always send in top tier stuff, 100/10 <3 also quacks is pink
Summary: Bark Bark Woof Grrr
Pairing: Sapnap X Reader & P!Feral Boys x Reader
Pronouns: He/him
[A/n]: Requests are open <3
There was a sharp knock on the door that startled you out of your sleep.
“Who is it?”
“Me, who else. You guys need to get up and get dressed, George, Karl, and Quackity are gonna be here soon.” You mumbled a reply, nudging Sapnap to wake him up. By the time the two of you had gotten dressed and stumbled into the living room, everyone had already arrived.
You plopped yourself onto the couch, landing in between Karl and Dream. You cuddled up to Karl, taking note of his smell.
“You smell different, did you get a new cologne?”
“Oh yeah, it’s almost the same as my usual but a little different, I’m surprised you could tell.” You shrugged, lazing on Karl who happily snuggled you back. You were still tired from being woken up so abruptly, and you could tell Sapnap was too as he was half asleep on Quackity, who didn’t seem to mind.
“Geez, why are you two so tired?”
“Up late last night, Sapnap couldn’t accept the fact that he lost and kept challenging me to a rematch.”
“On what?” You froze for a moment, the boys had assumed you were talking about a game when really you and Sapnap were roughhousing in wolf form last night.
“Mario Kart, he’s a cheater though.” Sapnap was a bit more awake now, sitting up on his own and blinking tiredly at the group.
“Don’t worry (Y/n), I believe you.” Karl leaned down to whisper in your ear, causing a big smile to spread across your face. Sapnap wouldn’t admit it but he was slightly jealous of all the affection you were giving Karl. After all, you were his mate, not Karl’s.
“I’m gonna make some coffee, you want some (Y/n).”
“No thanks. Can you get me a water though?”
“Of course.” Sapnap ruffled your hair as he passed by and into the kitchen.
“Sapnap can you grab me a drink too?”
“And me?”
“Me three please?” Suddenly everyone wanted a drink, which prompted you to get up. You knew Sapnap wouldn’t be able to carry everything himself so you headed into the kitchen with him.
“Since when were those two so close?”
“I don’t know, do you think they’re sleeping together?”
“Nah they’re just mates, it’s typical behavior for them.”
“Mates?” Dream froze as he realized what he had said, his eyes bouncing around the room nervously and finding you and Sapnap glaring at him from the kitchen.
“Uh mates, yeah, like friends mates. Like hey mate.” Dream played it off horribly, but just well enough for the group to carry on with a different topic. It wasn’t until later that you and Sapnap got a second alone with Dream.
“Dude I seriously should kill you.”
“Hey I covered, it’s cool.”
“Yeah covered up real horribly, what the heck was that. Are you trying to expose us?”
“It was an accident, bud, calm down.” You rubbed Sapnap’s back soothingly, pulling him closer to you. Sapnap was way more freaked out than you, he had always been sorta ashamed of being a wolf hybrid whereas you never really minded.
Though once you two found each other your lives changed, you helped Sapnap grow into his own skin, watched him become more confident in his wolfness, and encouraged him to embrace it more. Sapnap gave you somewhere and someone to belong to, he gave your life a purpose that you never knew you needed, and you loved him endlessly for it.
“This might be a little out of line, but maybe you should tell them. They’re our closest friends and I understand if you don’t want to, but I don’t think they’ll mind.” You looked at Sapnap, who looked terrified.
“Hey bubs, relax, you’re ok. We don’t have to do anything you’re not comfortable with. You’re alright, just take a breather.” You brought Sapnap into a hug, running your fingers through his hair to soothe him.
“I wanna do it.”
“Huh?”
“I want to tell them, I need to tell them.” Sapnap was still terrified at the thought of doing so, but he wanted to be able to fully be himself around his friends.
That want led to Dream to gathering everyone in the living room, where you explained everything while holding onto Sapnap’s hand.
“Really? That’s so cool! I’ve heard stories about people who could do that but I’ve never actually seen one!”
“Can you show us?”
“Yeah, if you’re comfortable with it. I wanna know what you guys look like as wolves.” You looked to Sapnap who nodded, signaling that he was ok with it.
“Sure, we’re gonna go to our room and shift though as we either gotta ruin our clothes or get naked. And I don’t think you guys wanna see us get undressed.” There was a chorus of ew’s and no’s and the two of you walked off.
The shifting part was easy, the hard part was getting Sapnap out the door and into the living room. Once there though he was Quickly swarmed by people reaching out to pet him. Karl and Quackity were petting him all over, and you could tell he was enjoying it. George seemed reluctant to pet you so you jumped onto the couch and laid on top of him, practically forcing him to pet you.
“So you're basically a giant dog?” George laughed, cuddling up with your fluffy form, dream joining in a moment later.
Sapnap, upon seeing you and the others on the couch, broke away from the affection to join you. Which led to Karl and Quackity doing the same.
“Hey guys, guess what?”
“What?”
“We’re in a dog pile.” Dream laughed way too hard at his own joke, his wheezing laugh triggering others into laughter as well.

random kageyama headcanons that no one asked for
pov: you are as much of a kags simp as i am or you just like to entertain yourself w my simpiness
--
-has canonically never owned a single game before, but destroys everyone in mario kart at team bondings
-like just keeps his thumb on the b button and maneuvers the joystick like it’s nothing
-it’s even more surprising that he’s also a good driver in real life, everyone thought he’d be crashing everywhere but he’s so good that he can drive with one hand it’s pretty hot
-his hand eye coordination is just top tier from playing sports
-still sucks when it comes to directions and finding things in the store though
-thought that spotify premium involved only paying once, but then sees that he’s getting charged for it every month and panics
-the only subscription he keeps a close eye on is his gym membership JFLKDSF
-watched studio ghilbi movies with the other karasuno first years and hinata teased him for tearing up
-“IM NOT CRYING BOKE” “then why are your eyes red?”
-owns a lot of soft hoodies made out of boyfriend material
-tries to send nice pictures to the first years’ gc but they all end up blurry because despite finally getting a smart phone, he doesn’t really take the time to learn how to fully use it
-never leaves anyone on seen or ghosts people though, he knows better. even if he doesn’t really want to talk to someone he’ll at least give a short response
-i can imagine him getting a dog and teaching the dog how to set and other cool volleyball tricks, i’m so soft ;;;
-after games fangirls always approach him and give him lots of gifts, kageyama accepts them but gets very blushy and flustered, especially when they call him handsome and compliment his plays
-he once stumbled upon a fan account dedicated to him, seeing all of the fanart and shots of his plays that people made of him took him aback. kageyama liked one of their posts which made everyone scream

ma’am do u have any headcanons for being in quarantine w Spencer Reid 🥺👉👈 do u even do headcanons? idk just tell me ur thoughts xoxo
you are my baby so I will make exceptions for u mwah. also I felt silly writing this but it’s lighthearted... stay safe everyone!!! practice social distancing and wash ur hands!!
____
quarantine with Spencer would include:
Spencer being super cautious and practicing social distancing to the highest extent (we all know he’s a germaphobe and global pandemic will only bring that out more) (y’all should also do what he’s doing sbeneb)
He’s not at all used to having this much downtime with you, and though he wishes it was under different circumstances he’s happy to have time off
Lots of you two just doing your own thing next to eachother; knees touching or laying on top of the other person
Spencer would probably read to your when/if you were feeling particularly nervous around you, giving you facts and assuring you of your safety
Lazy morning sex/sleepy sex because being around you this much would probably send his sex drive through the goddam roof
Spencer and you would probably do a lot of the things you never had the time to do, like playing board games/video games (kicking this mans ass in Mario Kart is top tier quarantine activity)
Spener would also probably take this as an opportunity to learn how to cook from you/ have the two of you figure out how to cook
Spencer would never ever stop touching you because he doesn’t get to see you this much like ever so why would he
He’d probably accidentally get dressed or wake up for work because he’s not used to not having it
He would let you sleep as long as you liked, just laying next to you under the sun and thinking ablur how happy he is to just be next to you
You’d probably also Group FaceTime with the team, just so everyone could see eachother and make sure everyone’s okay
Soft and chill vibes, and not so scary bc Spence is Spence and he wants to make you feel okay even when things don’t feel like that

Name: Combo Cruiser
Debut: Mario Kart Tour
What kind of car do you drive? Hamburger style or hot dog style?
I hate to say it, but this may just be the funniest kart in Mario Kart Tour, if not the entire Mario Kart series! Yes, even more so than the Fast Frank and its Caucasian counterpart. I'm sorry, Luigi (Lederhosen). I hope you can forgive me.
That's right, we're talking about a kart on the blog today! We're squeezing the Mario franchise for all it's worth, you can't stop us! If you cared, you would've unfollowed this blog ages ago!
I think it's easy to recognize why this kart is so funny: Burger! Burger and fries! Did you know? It took Five Guys to build this kart! It took a lot of work, but when they were done, they had burgers to look forwards to. And given the tires are burgers as well, that's one burger per guy, what a deal! Unfortunately one burger is much larger than all the rest, meaning not everyone was treated equally. It's sad how much inequality there is in the world.
This cheeseburger is no Hamburger, however, because it's not German, it's American! The Combo Cruiser made its debut in the 2022 Los Angeles Tour, which seems to have been a celebration of all things American, such as burger, football, golf, and oil mining!
Wow! I don't like any of those things! Awesome!
Thankfully, to make up for all that oil mining, the Combo Cruiser is environmentally friendly. Instead of exhaust fumes, it spits out orange soda! I don't really like soda, either, but I like it more than pollution, so I'll give it a pass.
Did you know also? Combo Cruiser is Chargin' Chuck's signature kart! Chargin' Chuck (who we should arguably be covering more than Combo Cruiser) has more depth than just being a football-playing Koopa... he also loves burger! Mario Kart Tour? More like Mario Kart Lore! Where else would we learn about Chargin' Chuck's love of burger? And where would we be if we didn't know...? A much darker timeline...
But really, it shouldn't just be Chargin' Chuck's signature kart. As SpongeBob told us once, you don't need a license to drive a sandwich, which means even I could drive this thing! Even babies could drive this thing!
Really, there's not a lot more to say about Combo Cruiser that I haven't said already. What else do you want, a list of courses this has a 2x bonus point multiplier on? Do you want to know that it has a 2x point multiplier on SNES Mario Circuit 2T? And that that 2x multiplier is for mini-turbos? Well now you do!
As you can probably guess, the main reason I wrote about Combo Cruiser is because it's Funny. It's the kind of kart that'd be a top-tier in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, where the funniest karts reign supreme! But it's not in that game, so who cares.
That's all I have for now! Goodbye! *hops into my Combo Cruiser and drives off into the sunset*

Very rough tier list for the New Frontier pass (based on Prince difficulty):
C Tier:
Maya: one of 2 with an actual debuff, however the buff is not strong enough to more than cancel it out. Still very fun and very defensive, with excellent megacities (over 40 pop with no neighborhoods) solid A tier fun
Kublia Khan: doesnt mesh great with his civs, limited charge random science and culture boost, but econ cards are strong (if not also prevalent late game)
BM Teddy: extreme spawn reliance. An extremely powerful leader ability tempered by the fact its rarely useful enough to turn the tide in the early game.
B Tier:
Gaul: Great production, but lower food production. Smaller, more productive cities. No clear victory, having no science boost and likely worse campuses.
Ethiopia: I'd probably rate them higher if not for the Voidsingers added alongside them, giving everyone their most important power: faith to science and culture conversion. They've got some above average tourism and faith production, and can also stack the conversion to 35%.
RR Teddy: Speak softly and carry a big stick. Dominate your continent, liberate the city states, and win a diplomacy victory like none can.
A Tier:
Gran Columbia: Really solid, really basic buffs. In a game with a bunch of meta, this is one that's gimmick is just "fight slightly better" and it works fantastically. It's a Mario Kart racer who, instead of using powerups, just drives really fast. C Tier entertainment, though.
Babylon: the Final Exam civ. Tests your knowledge of game flow to get infantry firing on archers or machine guns slaughtering horsemen. The single most interesting domination focused civ, because it just relies on being so far ahead scientifically none can oppose you. But if something goes wrong if a unit dies prematurely or a scout grants an unprepared eureka, the catchup is hell.
S tier
Byzantium: faith into combat into amenities into soldiers into an unstoppable tagma swarm bearing their faith and backed by an enthusiastic citizenry? It has one of the tightest gameplay loops in the game.
Vietnam: Controversially, a less spawn reliant civ than most others. Near guarantee to be in a vast jungle, or wood, or marshland, giving 1. Plenty of room to put down districts. 2. Early access to the bonus yields 3. Bonus food and or production from features just existing. Add the unique district not taking up a specialist slot, or a feature, and extreme adjacency, and the Voi Chen hit and run tactics, and the combat strength and movement boost on features, and this civ is top of the pack.
Unranked: M Cathy. Never played her.

3, 4, 10, 12 and 14! (also please have a big virtual hug ʕノ)ᴥ(ヾʔ - I hope that's the right one, I hope you feel better soon <3)
thanks for the ask nina :3 and u did get the right one!! <3 <3 <3 4 has already been answered, so,, go look
3) phil’s content or dan’s content? 🧸
this is a tough one.. there’s a reason i’m a dip a n d pip fan.
though, bcs i’m a phillie at the core, maybe phil’s? it’s honestly the most difficult choice though, and i can barely choose - and if u’d asked me to choose between the -people- of dnp?? god no. never. why’d you even think of that
10) not a question but tag your favourite blog cause we all deserve happiness 🥰
aaa ok dont make me choose between my friends 0.o i’ll just uh like slide @/amazingphil in here (and not actually tag him ofc bcs that’d be embarrassing)
12) what’s your favourite series on danandphilgames? 🎮
ok so to narrow it down i decided it had to have more than two videos in it.. bcs reasons. also, dan vs phil is excluded bcs the games are so different and that gives more reasons to like it (as the more choice of games, the more of them i possibly enjoy, the more reason to pick it, y’know)
the donkey kong series are very enjoyable (even if dan does scream a lot, and phil says more than questionable things)
the sims are always good,,
undertale is long but it’s the only videos of a fun game i rlly have the patience to watch (because dan and phil) so
pokemon go is fun fun fun fun fun* * kazoo kid remix (jk)
google feud and horse prince are chaotic in their own ways - even if horse prince is almost too weird for me to rewatch; and reminds me of.. well. that
mario kart is top tier,, so is overcooked
and yet somehow, golf with friends is the fav one?? i had to examine all of these ones that i could consider and its the one i can say i like the most
14) are there any dnp videos that you just can’t watch for any reason? 📹
i try not to watch any with too many flashy sequences and loud noises, but outside of that, there’s only a few select i almost never rewatch. of course i have my favorites and, with that, the ones i rarely rewatch, but there aren’t many i actively avoid. though the first ones that come to mind are the dream daddy videos. i’m not quite sure why, but i just can’t stomach them as a whole. idk.
