Man I love this little fan community of weirdos. Everyone is at least familiar with each other and when it a new person it doesn't matter. Its actually really cool how chill everyone is.

Kinda sad cause I feel like every thing is gonna blow up when the full game hits, the change will obviously be good since the studio and game will get the recognition it deserves but the fandom probably won't be the same.

But to end on a positive light we'll have the whole game to geek about and the DLC side story to look forward to.

What can I say? I love an evil couple. I think these two look pretty hot together, and it's interesting how Striker seems to respect Stella despite hating blue bloods. These two aren't canon, but I wouldn't mind if they were

9) RadioRose

Despite having mixed feelings on Alastor, I think these two are just so cute. Either as a couple or just queer platonic partners, I don't care. Rosie seems to be the only person to make Alastor genuinely smile, and she's the only one who can touch him. There's a special bond there I really like

8) Verosika Mayday x Wally Wackford

So this is the biggest crack ship on this list, but I think in theory, it's so cute. I really want Verosika to be happy, and Wally, despite being a bit of a scammer, is really sweet. I'm totally cool with Verosika ending up with Barbie as well, but I slightly prefer Wally. I wonder if they will have more interactions in future episodes.

7) Fizzmodeus

Is this controversial? Probably. I know Fizzarolli and Asmodeus are so loved in this fandom, so putting them at number 7 is awful...but they aren't my favorite. I do like them, and I think they're really cute! I just have ships I like more, but that doesn't take away how sweet these two can be. Sometimes obnoxiously sweet heh. So yeah, no disrespect to these two

6) M&M

So these two were at first kinda meh for me, but over time, I've grown to love them. They have a pretty healthy relationship, and I always hate when someone bothers Millie for marrying Moxxie or saying Moxxie isn't a good enough husband. These two clearly love and respect each other and clearly grow together with every episode.

5) Staticmoth

Like I said, I love an evil couple. Valentino is a monster, and Vox is deplorable. That doesn't stop me from loving them as a couple and thinking they are cute. I think they both should die, but also would be sad cause come on, they're cute together.

4) Cherrisnake

I love Sir Pentious, I love Cherri Bomb, so obviously, them together is a fun pair. I shipped these two before the show came out and was so excited to see Pen having a crush on Cherri. They kinda remind me of the early versions of M&M, but they need a lot more time. Cherri isn't ready to accept love, and Sir Pentious is well...in a different world. I can't wait to see these two develop and become an actual couple.

3) Adamsapple

So this and Lucilith could be here. Lucifer being happy is the main objective, and its Adamsapple is so fun. They clearly have a history, and there's a lot of feelings. If Adam comes back in season 2, I'd love to see this be fleshed out. I doubt they'd be a couple, but maybe friends? Who knows. I'm fine with this one not being canon, and just something fun in the fandom

2) Stolitz

Stoltiz is pretty important to me because it really got me involved in the fandom. I've been watching Helluva Boss since the beginning, but episode one of season two had me from casual watcher to actual fan. Blitzø is one of the characters I really relate to, and Stolas is just a really well written character. I love the development of these two and they are worth waiting for. I really gotta draw some fanart of them because they are everything

Are you surprised? You must be new. These two are my everything and all time otp in the Hellaverse. I've talked so much about why I love them, and I will continue to do so until I can't any longer. Angel and Husk are not only my favorite characters individually, but their growing friendship and eventual relationship are just so ughhhh. I love these losers, and they will always be number one.

the softness is a rlly important part of it to me. karkats got this abject earnestness to him that dave is embarrassed by at first but warms up to as he moves into post-irony. its kind of like karkat is a mirror of the things dave wouldn’t let himself be. and karkat is exactly the kind of person to see through this veneer of irony and find someone who is really kind of fucked up, and a Fuck up (noun) like he is, but who is also a really considerate person when you look at his actions over his words. that goes both wayz. it’s like they accept themselves by accepting each other, and it’s a very soft thing

do you remember that moment in openbound where dave says he’s glad he and karkat have their embarrassing conversations in private, and karkat says, me too? haha that conversation was rlly awkward. but it changed me chemically i was like. is this real. anyways

“privacy” and “earnestness” are pretty major “words” i’d use to characterise how i see their relationship. it’s also major themes of their characters. it comes together nicely and they kinda solve each other in this department i think

to me they were always kinda 2 sides of the same coin as knights. and it always made sense 2 me they’d balance each other out, if they could get over themselves and the preconceptions they had of each other. which they did eventually and quietly. sad that was covered in the span of a single flash animation with no dialogue but yk. “homestuck is a first draft” theory and all

I was talking to some people who are DEFINITELY general audience....I forgot some of the GA doesn't even know rinkomania happened on Wills birthday? And if they do know that then some BELIEVE the Duffers just made a genuine mistake? (Its 100% NOT a mistake btw!!!!!)

Then I remembered that it's actually not even a huge detail in the show and thats part of what I love about ST

there are SO many details and hints that have been layed out, but it's usually something the general audience doesn't seem to catch, it's a show that knows it's fans are so dedicated into leaving no stone unturned that they leave things like this for us to find, stuff you don't notice just by watching it casually, like yes- it's still a very enjoyable show that way and you can be a fan and not in the fanbase who obsessed over it and scans every scene...but it's just nice how they keep us guessing and leave so many theories available, it's unpredictable, it's great, it's fun, and I love that they leave so many ambiguous loose ends for us to think of stuff for the next season!!!

I love stranger things because it's the only show that's got me fully invested in finding these details and trying to piece together my own theories, it's got me willing to sit down and think/analyse, even if it seems silly and insignificant, the only other form of media that I've been this in deep with is the saw franchise...which is why I'm going to be so sad when the show ends because there is going to be no more of that, this show has consumed so many of my thoughts for YEARS and I'm just going to be devastated when theres nothing left to try guess anymore, no more details to look at, nithing. I love seeing everyone's observations from the show because so many are well-thought out and awesome!!! I'm just going to miss the fanbase SO much because it will eventually die off and I love it here so much

Dicenete rambles again about Twisted

In Twisted Wonderland, I'm in Book 7, chapter 67. I have a theory and.... It makes me feel sad, but satisfied if it turns out to be something like that. Everything under the cut.

This might not be even correct or something, this is just me theorizing. Take everything with a grain of salt. Twisted Wonderland, our time there... It is a dream. It is the dream of the Prefect. And it will (most likely) end in Book 7. Okay so we are dream hopping feat Silver. In a dreams that are meant to make it so we never want to wake up. We want a dream where we can always be happy. That we don't have to face harsh realities of life. Many of the dialogue choices we have had are A. "I will miss you guys/ Kinda don't want to leave." and B. "I miss my family/I need to get back home." It kinda got me surprised at first. Because last three or so books we have hardly thought about going back home. Now that there was a possibility to find a way to do it... Me as a player, didn't want it to happen. I wanted the prefect to stay there and continue their journey. Like what will happen in next semester? What will happen to the 3rd year students on their internships? I want to know! Would we get more characters? Then in the chapter 67 we get Sebek almost succumbing to the dream. Deciding to stay there because he wants Malleus to be happy.

Logically we all know that this is a bad choice. It is not life. Life is a harsh place. You can't get the good without the bad. You will grow numb. So we beat the darkness up and get some sense into Sebek. I have really loved this game. For real. More than I thought I would. I really don't want the Book 7 be the final one. But all the signs kinda... point that it will be? Or that it should be? But I also know... that all good stories come to an end at somepoint. They should. Because if they are stretched without a goal in mind, that will eventually ruin the main story. The themes of Book 7 are good byes and change. And that we have to say good bye at somepoint. To everyone. Even to our loved ones. Only certain thing in life is change. All things come to an end. And that's what Lilia is trying to teach Malleus and others there. Like Malleus, I don't want this story to end. Which is that I hope that the story will continue past Book 7 somehow, but I really understand that it must end at somepoint. And it makes me sad of course. I can't be angry at Twisted if they decide to end the main story on Book 7. Because right now it feel like the right thing to do. But I also hope that we will get something more after it. That they will explain something how we can continue our adventures with NCR.

I look forward to see what they will do.

Conspiracy Theorist always struck me as the type to ask all the questions, regardless if the answers are immediately and obviously important or not. Maybe there's some personal reason she wants to protect Davis from speculation on this? Who knows.

"Jeff: Are we sure about Aidan’s theory that there are blanks in there? Not like I can come up with anyone who’d be in there for me, but it’s possible they got creative.

If Jeff’s saying that, then the likely truth is…" Alright! Another case of Ellis and me thinking the exact same thing. If Aidan's theory is completely correct and there aren't any shenanigans like "Cass and Antonia aren't part of the five blanks so there's more people who don't have a loved one to put in danger" or "Mark secretly has a loved one they'll remember when the corpse drops", then Ellis really does have someone!

"Ellis: …Kennedy. Any leads…?" Wow we've really hit rock fucking bottom with this one huh? Also what happened to "I'm just gonna coast off my luck and survive all the way to the end without caring about anyone", Ellis? Are you undergoing character development against your will? xD

In all seriousness, I'm guessing the angle is that Ellis just figured out she's not one of the blanks because of what Jeff said, so she's worried her loved one's gonna die. Even if they're lucky, if no one dies then the wheel will have no chance but to land on Ellis eventually, so. Then again, it's also possible that Ellis is just gradually growing into a more proactive "end the killing game" attitude based on the revelations he had at the end of the first trial. Who knows!

"Kennedy: …Give me the day to think. I’ll figure something out." Well that doesn't sound like a death flag in the slightest! Do we think if Kennedy dies Vivi will try to revive them, fucking up the investigation in the process by destroying evidence? I could see that happening.

"Why are the two people we’re supposed to rely on most the Conspiracy Theorist and the Mad Doctor?" Accept the Mad Duo supremacy!!! Especially because both of them are waving death flags the size of a mountain right now!!!

"Maybe part of me wanted a less vague reaction so that I could make sure Davis wasn’t just pretending, as a mastermind or traitor type. That’s kinda messed up, right?" Maybe the killing game specifically picked people who'd never run into one another, just missing that Noah and Harper did? Or maybe it really is just coincidence.

"Ellis: You can find me everywhere, except at your guys’ sides, apparently. Worry not, for we can change that.

Paris: Now that we know each other, we’ll obviously be besties for life~" You know, maybe I was sketched out for nothing. Paris seems to be a pretty genuine friend for now. Wow, what a fucking chapter! I'm still reeling from everything that happened, genuinely very exciting stuff here! From the reveal that Paris is a blank, the mysterious Davis person, Vanessa having a gun, and ROBERT??? He certainly stole the spotlight this chapter, what a guy he is! Or, was, I guess. What can I even say? I'm shooketh.

But while we're all mourning the most normalest guy ever, we also need to pull out our bingo cards, and play the prediction game! As you may know, there are four prediction boards I'm aware of in Tumblr dot com; mine, accirax's, Jonas', and bronze-ocs'!

(In case it's hard to see, mine is top left, accirax's is top right, Jonas' is bottom left, bronze-ocs is bottom right)

I’d put down Robert as the CH1 killer because I figured the whole “normal” shtick would be hard to make work for very long, and having the “normal” one being the first killer would drive the point home that anyone can kill, no matter what. Evidently I was wrong on the latter part, but maybe I wasn’t too far off with that first idea. Robert did have plenty of very interesting and compelling interactions in regards to his normality, though, so it’s not like he couldn’t have made it further while still being an engaging character. Alas, we won’t get the chance to see that. In any case, regardless of the reasons, Robert being the CH2 victim instead gives me 1 chapter point and 2 role points. Combined with the 7 I already had, I now have 10 points! 

Now, back at the end of CH1, there was a three way tie between me, bronze and Jonas. And now… there’s still a three way tie between the same people :v Jonas predicted Robert as the CH3 killer, giving them 3 points as well. The tie with bronze is even more ridiculous, because they also predicted Robert as the CH1 killer. And for those keeping score, yes, this is the third guess in a row where both bronze and I guessed the exact same thing. Our boards aren’t exactly the same, so we’ll differ eventually, but it is surprising that so far we’ve predicted the same thing for all the dead people xp In any case, all three of us now have 10 points each.

Finally, accirax actually had the best guess this time around! She also guessed a CH3 death, but as a victim, meaning she only received 1 chapter point. Alas, she started this chapter with 13 points, so she now has 14, and is still in last place. However, the distance has closed!

Is this the start of the accirax comeback? Will the tie break at the end of this chapter, or will it continue? Or is it possible that we achieve the legendary four way tie? Find out more… in a few weeks!

Anyways, silly prediction boards aside, really enjoyed this part! Cannot wait to see the investigation next week, so I can do some murder theorizing. In any case, thanks for reading! See ya’!

Gonna be sick (New Age thoughts are consuming me-)

Just a quick jot of ideas to ruminate on for myself lol.

1) Geno, Dust, and Reaper drabble. Whether that's expanding on their first visit from Dust's pov or that snippet where his shoulder gets obliterated idk. Maybe even Killer's teasing as a b-plot. Just. Those three make me feel big emotions and I feel crazy-

2) Cross rooting around in the castle on his spy mission. If I were more interesting it would be proceeded by a fluff drabble about the month or two he sticks around to prepare, either from Blue or Dream's perspectives even, but I'm not that cool. Instead, probably gonna jump-cut straight into the Him Arriving bit.

3) Blue and Dream meeting. Dream is so so distressed upon arriving to this allied kingdom, and the people are kind enough, but everything is so different and scary and his brother, his *brother* is different abd sent him away. Now he's alone. He's holding together poorly, but tries to at least keep up appearances and train. (Training helps distract him) and during a training session with one of the Knights, he's introduced to Blue. The squire about his age who is always around for Dream's combat lessons. And. The squire who runs into Dream when he's had enough and makes a reckless choice.

4) Rewrite the first drabble (the starting chapter if you will-) I need to add in the dynamics I've made since then, and also slip in Ccino.

5) Nightmare getting his first cold since becoming young again. His immune system is trash, now that the pollens and germs are hitting him after years of being atrophied beneath the magic. So ofc he catches a cold very. Very quickly. And who is better to help him than Ccino, and who's better to keep watch than Cross? (Just wanna write a ting of angst in this one too.)

6) Dust. This would *probably* be a world building piece that focuses on Dust before he was imprisoned, and then how he was caught, and how he ended up with Nightmare. In theory this could span up until Killer was put in charge of Dust, but I can imagine it would stop after Dust accepts Nightmare's offer of work, then continue somewhere after.

7) Ccino-centric one! I just need to get an idea of a single day of his. Maybe one of his few days off? Just slice of life, him enjoying the day, paying tribute, visiting friends in the city.

8) Cross and Lust domestic drabble. Along the same vein, I just think a quick look into their lives would be nice. Maybe from Lust's perspective, since Cross kinda has red alarms going off in his brain because he's full of puppy love, and while it's definitely not shallow/all he thinks about, it is very... him. Lust is a lot more composed about it.

9) Same vein again, Crop and Horror. I like to think Crop was one of the folks Horror visited while trying to find fixes for farms. Crop was abroad for a long time and recently came back when he heard of his brother's plight with the messed up farm. The two of them did a lot of brainstorming and, in return for using their plot as an experimental lot, they were paid handsomely by the royal treasury. Horror and Crop were in contact for a *long* time, and eventually it became a consensual workplace relationship lmao. Just one of Horror's days off he goes home to visit his family, and finds Crop was there to visit as well as a surprise!

10) Away from Ship stuff, Error perspective, post running away! Probably from Geno leaving up until he was hired by Nightmare. Error is a chaotic little shit, but he was also like. 11 or smth. Miracle he wasn't killed. He's crafty and silly and so so sad.

11) Cross and his fucked up dog. That borzoi haunts the narrative in the funniest way physically possible. It's such a funny dog, and I think it'd be such a menace and very fun to write about Cross losing it and panicking. Maybe. Maybe Dog perspective even.

12) Some scene. Dunno which one. Cat perspective. Limited knowledge, only seeing eyes. Would be pretty cool.

13) Dust with his horses. Maybe the wild one he tamed even!

The whole time travel thing? The fact that getting rid of the golden weapons in the past means the mega weapon should've never been made means the devourer wouldn't have been defeated means Lloyd shouldn't have aged up means the entire episode wouldn't have happened

Ooooh, I've been wanting to talk about this for a long time (as in, since middle school). So thank you for giving me an excuse to rant about this subject!

First, let's identify all the issues with the s2 time travel situation:

They went back in time and shot the Golden Weapons into space - not just the ones from that episode in season 2 (taking the form of the Mega Weapon), but also the ones from the pilots-era that Kai had found in the past.

If the Golden Weapons were destroyed in the past, Garmadon wouldn't have used them to escape the Underworld and head for the Realm of Madness, which is where he acquired his four arms. He also wouldn't have any motivation to grow two extra arms in the first place (remember that he only gave himself four so he could hold all the Weapons at once).

On a related note, Samukai wouldn't have died from wielding all four of them at once. So if not for the Weapons, he'd...probably still be alive.

Garmadon also used the Golden Weapons to defeat the Devourer. Like, I'm sure he could have killed it with a different weapon, but this definitely changes how that scene would've gone down

Without the Golden Weapons existing anywhere in Ninjago, past or present, Garmadon couldn't have been able to create the Mega Weapon.

This means all the Mega Weapon's effects are now defunct. He wouldn't have used it to rebuild the Bounty. Soto wouldn't have been resurrected, thereby nullifying his involvement in Skybound. Not to mention the Bizarro Ninja wouldn't have been created, which...doesn't have a big impact on things, honestly, but still kinda makes me a little sad.

And of course, as we're all mutually confused by, Lloyd wouldn't have had any reason to take the Tomorrow's Tea, and as such should have spent the rest of the series aging up much more normally.

When coming up with a theory to explain the s2 time travel situation, we need to make sure whatever we come up with provides reasonable rationale for all (or at least most) of the above-mentioned points. Which...okay, that's a bit of a tall order. But I think we can do it!

In the end, I've come upon a theory I personally consider to be the most believable:

Alternative History Theory

These events - Garmadon growing four arms, Lloyd growing up, all of it - was meant to be. They were simply machinations of destiny, setting up the Final Battle to happen exactly as it was intended to. These events had to happen. They were part of a master design as planned out by the Cloud Kingdom and the Overlord alike, a plan over a thousand years in the making.

Garmadon has to eventually grow four arms and Lloyd has to eventually grow up and defeat him. So long as the events occur, destiny doesn't care about how we get there.

What I'm saying is that the timeline rewrote itself to ensure things stay fundamentally the same, in an act of preserving destiny. The journey changed, but the destination remained the same. These events that had to happen, still happened, but the way they happened is now suddenly different.

In other words, Lloyd still took the Tomorrow's Tea, but now the reasons and context for his decision are different.

What messes with my head about this theory is the possibility that there's an entirely different, alternate version of the first half of season 2 that we don't know and will never see. S2 shows us the timeline the og4 got to experience, but not the timeline Lloyd and Nya remember living through.

(I admit I've always kinda wanted to write a fic exploring what that alternate timeline would look like, but I've never figured out a good way to write the premise without first writing an essay to explain the theory behind it)

So then with that in mind, let's consider how such a timeline would transpire. What would a Golden Weapons-free version of s1-2 look like?

...huh. It's actually surprisingly easy to imagine.

When you think about it, none of these events strictly necessitate the use of the Golden Weapons:

Samukai could have died another way.

While we don't entirely know the terms of his banishment, it's reasonable to assume Garmadon could've found another way to the Realm of Madness.

So long as Garmadon hit the Devourer at her weak spot, he still could have killed her with any other weapon.

Nya and Jay could have rebuilt the Bounty instead of Garmadon using the Mega Weapon to do it. They've done it several times throughout the series already, so this is well within the realm of possibility.

The Mega Weapon isn't the only means of resurrection present in this series. Even if it didn't happen by Garmadon's hand, there's a myriad of other ways Soto's crew could be brought back to life. It wouldn't even have to happen during s2 specifically.

Strictly speaking, Lloyd was only aged up because of the Tomorrow's Tea. The events leading up to this don't necessarily require the presence of the Mega Weapon. Something else entirely could've happened to require him to take the Tea, or maybe it happened on accident. Or maybe his friends were in danger and Lloyd was the only one able to save them, so he deliberately sought out and used the Tea in order to be strong enough to rescue them. Anything is possible here.

Ninjago is consistently a story about doomed narratives and the inescapable nature of destiny. No matter how something happens doesn't change the fact that it will happen. The Serpentine were meant to open the Stone Warriors' crypt - so if Lloyd hadn't released them, they would have escaped another way. The Devourer's venom was what awakened the Stone Warriors - even if Pythor hadn't awakened her, someone would have. If Garmadon didn't get his extra arms in the Realm of Madness, it still would have happened some other way.

And if the Grundle didn't force Lloyd into taking the Tomorrow's Tea, something else would have.

So yeah. Blah blah blah, destiny is inevitable, everyone is doomed by the narrative and it sucks, you get the idea. Make sense?

⚠️ Wind and Truth Preview Spoilers

Started writing a list of who or what The Voice belongs to and in traditional Me fashion I thought too hard about it and ended up with a couple paragraphs so here we fuckin' go I guess! 😤💅

Putting my chips down for a New Spren intro: "Parent" spren! In this case, the parent to windspren. If armour spren are thought of as cousins to radiant spren, then perhaps that implies aunt/uncle* spren? And since there's bondsmith spren, then that could imply there's big spren that don't make bonds. Outside of like Cusicesh and such. (If Cush** is even a native entity...)

I'm also thinking about the story ab how the Unkalaki came to live on the Horneater Peaks: they asked the ocean, the mountains, and the forest to give them a place to live, and eventually those things "literally" came together to make the peaks. For a while, I thought this might just represent the Shards, but it didn't sit right bc why would Odium do that lol. So if there's giant spren of the ocean, the mountains, the forest, it stands to reason there's A Giant Wind Spren.

This would also open possibilities up even more if you take "Knights of Wind and Truth" into account. If Wind is a giga-spren, then you could also assume Truth is a giga-spren. Maybe Truth is the one asking Kal for help? Maybe we'll see in the next Szeth POV chapter a voice is asking Szeth for help. (This would be really sad-funny imo bc the poor guy already has so many invisible people vying for his attention. 😭)

And this theory doesn't even touch on the Unmade and what they were before they were... well, Unmade. I have a theory they each correlate to the 10 orders, minus bondsmith, and Odium was trying to get a Bondsmith spren for himself so that he could make his own Bondsmith. (Or was this confirmed through WOBs? I can't remember.)

And now I'm getting severely off-track so I'll stop here lmao.

But for anyone curious, my other theories for The Voice also included: One Last Piece of Tanavast Is Alive For Some Reason (highly unlikely and kinda boring tbqh; I'm chucking that one off the balcony.) Or Sja-Anat (Interesting but not quite the level of intrigue I'm hoping for.)

I've seen a lot of theories about what Bucky did to make money in Romania and I put forth:

Math tutor Bucky.

Like. Think about it. Not only did it mention he excelled in the classroom on his Smithsonian description at the end of TWS, but Bucky was a sniper, meaning he had to know a LOT of math, and I doubt that'd be something HYDRA would want to brainwash out of him seeing as he'd need that during his Winter Soldier years. He speaks Romanian so he can talk to the kids, and even though how math is taught may have changed since the 40s he can still teach them a way that gets them to the correct answer. Maybe some might find his way of doing it easier even idk.

I don't know how it would start or why parents would suddenly start trusting their kids to be around this sad hobo looking man that they're 99% sure is squatting in an apartment (in my headcanon he is), but eventually they end up trusting him and he kinda likes it. He doesn't make much money off it, but the parents pay in cash so it isn't traceable (good for someone on the run), and it pays enough that he's able to buy food, do laundry, and maybe some new clothes if he saves up. Or at least, some things from the local thrift store.

I also like to think at least one parent takes pity on the sad man that tutors their Cristian and helped bring his Calculus grade up to a C+ when he was in danger of failing before and they force ask him to stay for dinner whenever he's over for sessions and make sure to send him home with as many leftovers as he can carry

honestly the series wont have a satisfying ending given its themes and weight if gi-hun takes down the games and all is well yay everyone is happy. no, in such an intense, commentary-heavy show like this, something bad is going to happen to gi-hun, but it's not death.

This is a possible hot-take but: I don’t like the fan theory of Jinx being Adia.

Like, I don’t mind the “Scratch is Todd’s Wraith” theory, as it’s been properly foreshadowed and they literally have the same face.

But with Jinx and Adia? It just sorta feels like the fandom saw two characters with curly hair who are both black (or voiced by a black woman in Jinx’s case) and figured that was enough of a connection. It just feels like a stretch, given how they don’t look similar at all save for maaaaybe their hair.

But for another point… I just don’t personally like the idea of Jinx secretly being Scratch’s long-lost best friend. It feels sorta cliche and, let’s be honest, fanfic-y. I also just prefer Jinx being a pure villain character who isn’t acting against joy because of a sad backstory but because she has fun destroying joy.

In some ways, Jinx is to TGaMM what Chip Whistler is to Big City Greens: enjoyable to watch, funny, kinda pathetic at times, but still intimidating enough to keep things enjoyable and interesting/keep the characters on their toes. If Jinx were to turn out to be Adia, I sorta feel like it’d ruin her character.

What’s more, Jinx has done some pretty bad things (like trying to kill Molly for being a strong joy source, in addition to trying keep Scratch in miserable pain for the rest of his afterlife) with it being implied that she has something even MORE evil planned down the road.

So… if, after all that, Jinx is revealed to be Adia, the show sorta only has two paths: for Scratch to forgive her for the sake of their past and for the two to make amends/to be friends, or for there to be a lesson about people growing apart and friendships (even strong ones) needing to sometimes end.

While the latter’s lesson could certainly be interesting, I feel like it’d be unnecessary and not all that satisfying, with the former just being all around hollow.

I just want Jinx to stay her own character - and to remain a fun and kooky villain with an enjoyable personality - while Adia gets to be someone that Scratch eventually reunites with when he’s ready to face her (and his past) again, leading to a truly heartwarming moment instead of a surprise twist or a forced lesson.

There this undertale MV fic that literally makes me happy stim and I have thoughts. More importantly a very crazy idea on where this is headed.

——SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT——

Ok so one of the things I really like about Buddy’s fics is that Buddy very clearly has read the original error!sans ask blog. They describe Error knitting in ftfo and recognize Error as an alternate timeline of after!tale.

Why is this important? Well, these references don’t just exist in ftfo, they are also in Spilled Ink, but in a very interesting way.

For those who didn’t follow the original error blog, it didn’t really end with a finale. CQ, the author, graciously left us readers a summary of what she planned for the story. Specifically, I’m talking about Blueberror.

Blueberror, is an underswap sans specifically named Blueberry (this will be important later) who gets kidnapped by Error, left alone in the anti void until he goes insane and starts hearing voices. Notably, the voices of the askers (since it’s an ask blog).

Now, who do we know in Spilled Ink who hears voices and has anti void trauma? Yeah Ink!

Spilled Ink shows Ink heading the voices of the Creators, who like the askers in ask error!sans, live in our world and control his life. Unlike Error who is insane, Ink struggles through the existential horror of being played with for entertainment.

So, what I think Buddy is doing is linking the creation of destroyers to protectors.

They are both made in the anti void.

They both hear the voices of the creators.

This makes some very interesting parallels between Error and Ink.

It also makes some very very interesting parallels between Ink and Blueberror. Ink in Spilled Ink is implied to be a version of an Underswap sans, Rus compares Ink to his own brother in his pov chapters. Several other characters remark the ink is “short for a sans”.

In Crayon Queen’s, summary of how ask error would have ended, she describes Blueberror not becoming a destroyer but moving into the omega timeline. He eventually works to protect the multiverse by convincing Error to help fight a larger threat. Hmm, a protector, where have I heard that before?

So, conspiracy theory time.

What if the determining factor that makes a sans stuck in the anti void a protector or a destroyer is whether or not they’re a swap variant?

So, wouldn’t it be Wild if there was a theoretical swap sans that we don’t know the location of? And wouldn’t it be just insane if a future plot point of the askerror blog was that Blueberror let another swap sans take his place in his au?

THIS IS WHERE THE REAL THEORY BEGINS

What if, the Blueberry in Spilled Ink was turned into Blueberror? How? Great question, idk. Maybe Ink’s friends get too close to figuring out who took him and the creators want a red herring? But like remember in chapter 5 when they were at the omega council meeting and the whole council was convinced the new out code was evil? I wonder what would happen if blueberror showed up right after Ink gets kidnapped. He’s covered in errors, that must mean he’s a new destroyer to counter Sketch right?

Extra angst: the only person who can recognize him is currently be tortured by Nightmare, and no one believes him when he says he used to be a member of the star sanses. His whole world is gone, and everyone he loves hates him and he doesn’t know why.

Does this make sense thematically? Kinda, it’s one really angsty way Ink can get his dearly lost friend back, but at a sharp cost. It would also allow Buddy to use dramatic irony again like how Sketch is hiding his moderator status. Except in a sad twist, Blueberror is trying to show his protector status but no one believes him.

I need you to know that I squawked at the cliffhanger of childe’s appearance. Lost my mind and almost threw my phone. Fingers crossed that Aether got to him before the banquet!

But to the chapter as a whole! There are?? So many things I wanna talk about? I’ll try to keep it somewhat short so I can fit it all into one ask but sienussnei-

I’m like 50 percent sure those strings pulled had something to do with the fauti. Something I remembered!! Not every person from the house of the hearth becomes one of the fauti! But they still do remain close to the group! My crack theory is that Rosalie is one of people in that latter group. Arlecchino was able to fully attempt an assassination on Furina without anyone knowing before or after( including the orphans in this as well since they don’t say thing about it as far as i know? And im absolutely positive they wouldn’t push for more info and take her at her word that she didn’t have the gnosis) and the only reason why it was a attempt and not a success is because she stopped herself! Either way though, considering her disguise used for that same attempt, I sure that the hooded figure was Father herself.

ALSO THE PINING OF THIS MAN!!! That polearm?? The sudden flip from fake to real the moment he saw Rosseland (I’m assuming that was the kitty in question) had led Thawed!Reader to him? The instant flirtations? Not to mention that despite the fact Thawed!Reader kept talking about kissing him, he refused!! Because he knew they were both drunk and not quite in their right minds to do that!!! THE MAN CARES!! It’s also a blessing and a curse rn that Thawed!Reader is kinda drunk. A blessing because she isn’t hiding her feelings as much, but a curse because she isn’t being subtle at all. The straight forward question she asked? Lyney isn’t drunk enough to forget that.

The callback to the last chapter too! She really does know lyney so well, even after all this time. He was right, she did know he was lying. And she’s just sitting there, trying to figure out what’s going on while Aether’s just sitting there like ‘you two nerds love each other.’ Not that she would admit it out loud. Yet. Also RIP reader, paimon and Rosalie are friends now, friendship forged by food. They aren’t gonna leave readers life once this is over and done. Say goodbye to your peace and quiet! (Although lyney may complain about that but that’s a different story-)

Losing my mind also over Rosalie and Thawed!Reader’s connection. She doesn’t even realize she is calling Rosalie maman!! But Rosalie does and it’s just so soft and sweet and family and rurnfjkeis. I’ve known Rosalie for 7 chapters and if anything happens to her I will kill everyone in this room and then myself.

Great chapter as always! I’m a little sad to hear regular updates are potentially stopping for a bit but I fully understand! Best of luck with school!!

YEAHH!! IT WAS ROSSELAND !!! i love rosseland and how lyney ended up making the cat his assistant-- that little backstory is so cute. rosseland is such a smart cat, too; writing that scene of leading mc to lyney didnt seem absurd in the slightest to me.

drunk t!reader is a mess kwdhkdfhd some drunk words are sober thoughts. and yes i think and know that lyney is a gentleman. even drunk he would always put reader first. always!

okay so it has taken me way too long to post this but whatever here we go!

Okay, so I’ve been wanting to talk about the connection between these songs for FOREVER

So I’ve talked about the outfits and interpreted the songs through those but now I wanna focus a bit on the lyrics and sound more but the outfits are still gonna be mentioned so

So I kinda mentioned in Part Four of the outfits that there’s a timeline for the Get Wells which (in my mind) goes Get Well II Acoustic, Get Well, Get Well II and I’m gonna be talking about the songs in this order for the sake of clarity, but first I do want to cover the overarching themes of the songs.

When you’ve been hurt so much, it’s easy to play the victim, especially when others have tried to gaslight you or downplay your pain. But eventually, this victim mentality can become consuming. In an effort to try to validate our pain, or even find ourselves when others have spent so long tearing us down, we end up making our trauma and our mental illness our whole identity. These songs are about breaking away from that victim mentality and seeking recovery, even when everyone around us is telling us that we have to stay sick. It’s easy to find community with like-minded individuals, people who are also hurting and sick. But these types of relationships can only feed the cycle of hurt and prevent us from recovering.

In Get Well and Get Well II it’s clear that the speaker of the song has found a community with other sick individuals. These people make a spectacle of lashing out (”we throw tantrums like parties” and “my sad makes me special”). They’re total basket cases and they’re proud of it. They believe that their mental illness and trauma is a badge of honor, something to flaunt. They have “battle scars” and that makes them unique and better than those around them. But by the time the songs start, the speaker has had enough. They’re tired of being sick and they want to “get well”.

I want to start with “Get Well II (Acoustic)” because while this song came out the most recently, I feel the message of this song depicts the catalyst for the speaker of our story. The opening lines “do you want me to write you another sad song, would you like that?” with the slower tempo and piano, give the impression that the speaker has been hurt once again. The expected response is for them to throw a tantrum, to be sad, to be angry, to lash out and rage, but instead, the speaker just sounds tired. In the following lines “Do you want me to tell you we’ll never belong, would you like that?” The speaker seems to be thinking about what they have to say to comfort another member of their circle. These people have built their whole identities on being misfits but the speaker is sick of that and the lines “Cuz the truth is we’re no different than the others... we’re better off than we let on, I fear” show that. These people have grown comfortable and complacent in their sickness, but the reality is they’re not as sick as they’re pretending to be. And the speaker is fed up with that. But while they’re sick of pretending to be hurt, the speaker acknowledges that they are still damaged. “Can’t undo the scars up and down our hearts/ can’t forget how it felt when it all fell apart”. But the thing is, the speaker isn’t the only one who’s claimed they want to “get well”. The lines “and we talk a big game like we wanna get well/ in our prison made of pain/ only fooling ourselves” reveal that other members of the circle have made claims about wanting to recover. Indeed, the previous line “we say we’re over it” confirms that these people are acting like their hurt no longer defines them, yet they’re still trapped by their pain. They’re still making it a huge part of their identity, and the chorus supports this. But again, the tempo and instruments used set a tone, not of anger and resentment (like in the original version of the song) but of sorrow. Anger is a secondary emotion. Here, the speaker is feeling the initial emotion that comes with the realization that they actually want to get well, that these people they’ve surrounded themselves with are actually toxic and preventing their recovery.

In the second verse the speaker further explores how the members of the circle (themselves included) have been trying to recover from their trauma and mental illness. But there’s also a bit of resentment in this verse. The lines “I wanna look you dead in the eyes/ did you think you were the only one?” show that the speaker is fed up with how the other members of the group are acting, how they think they’re the only ones with problems. But again, the acoustic instruments change the tone. The speaker seems to feel almost sorry for the other members of the group. They feel bad and empathize with the other members of the group for feeling like they’re alone in this struggle. The lines “we’re all holding on trying to make sense of the insanity that we once loved” and “we’ve cut up our lives trying to put down the knife/ to pick up the fight” reveal the true reason as to why these people are holding on so tightly to their trauma. They’re trying to rationalize it. They’re grieving and likely in the bargaining stage of grief. They can’t let go of their sickness because they’re still trying to process what happened, but they don’t have any healthy ways to process it. They’re still hurting themselves in their attempts to recover.

Other than the tempo and style of instruments affecting the tone, another major difference between this version of the song and the original is that the acoustic version omits the lines “I need my pain/ don’t take it away/ my sad makes me special”. I think the reason for this is because at this point of realization, the speaker is not feeling special. The charm of being sick has worn off and they are left just feeling sad. This is why I think this song is the catalyst for the speaker’s journey and wanting to recover. This feeling of pure sadness is their inciting incident, it’s the feeling that makes them take a step back and say “I wanna get well”.

okay headcannon time.

I think they met while Gehrman was still new at his job. Laurence snuck into Pthumaru to get samples or something and got lost and Gehrman had to go get him.

Cus of this one-on-one time Laurence has always kinda respected Gehrman and his work as a hunter (like the other scholars and Willem are aware of how important the hunters are but they don't really... like them... cus of classism). Laurence appreciates the violence.

That's not to say Laurence doesn't view Gehrman as how useful he is- just with a neat fella also attached.

This kinda symbiotic relationship was heightened by the fact that Laurence is the only real physician at Byrgenwerth to me. So every time Gehrman gets hurt he has to go to him for help.

Cus the rest of Byrgenwerth kinda disrespects the hunters, that was why it was so easy for Laurence to sweep them up and take them with him post Fishing Hamlet and Rom Ascension. That said, I do think Gehrman and the other hunters left after Laurence of their own volition (though Gehrman was defiantly heavily swayed to go with him).

Speaking of the Hamlet they absolutely kissed over Kos' corpse and that's why they're all cursed now.

They lived together in that little Byrgenwerth-pocket under Oedon Chapel while setting up the Healing Church and the Workshop and such.

Gehrman's experience with their relationship is slowly watching someone he loves become more are more dangerous and megalomaniacal. He knows it's defiantly bad but also... kinda hot tho fr. This is compounded but the idea that Gehrman 100% believes in a lot of the Healing Church's more religious aspects. What if you were dating Jesus but were also Catholic. It's cus of this that Gehrman sticks around in the dream, it's literally not a possibility to him that Laurence could be wrong about something.

That said I don't think Gehrman took a lot of the Church's more... horrific acts lying down. He's not a great guy either but he's got a strong moral compass and I defiantly think it took some smooth talking to prevent him from going to Cainhurst and beating Logarius to death. Laurence is just very good at convincing him they're in the right (until it comes to hurting Gehrman specifically, that is).

That said, I think Laurence does care about Gehrman quite a lot. If we go off cut dialogue it seems like he's willing to halt the plans to contact Flora for his safety. That'd mean genociding Cainhurst and burning down half the city for no reason. Laurence doesn't strike me as the type of guy to just throw out impactful plays like that for no reason. And if you wanna get really into my gay little theories, Laurence's relationship with Gehrman is the most human thing about him. It represents his humanity after his death and is his drive to keep going once he starts losing it. So I think it's apt that Gehrman's the guy he's willing to waste so many lives to protect.

Gehrman is violent as a job but generally dislikes bloodshed if it doesn't have a purpose. Laurence is willing to bullshit purposes for the sake of bloodshed. They get along great.

Okay, so we can infer from Viola's brooch that hunters give their partners bloodgem-jewellery as some sort of romantic gesture. The... the Vicar pendant is a bloodgem...

Equally heart-wrenching to me is the idea that Gehrman did leave a physical body behind after he got moon'd. Laurence tried his best to look after it but that got too hard for him eventually. The sick fic that never ends and never gets better!!!! (Lozza also starts wearing Gehrman's scarf post-divorce).

Their relationship is, overall, complicated. Especially near the tail-end, they fought a lot over what was best for the city and the fact that Gehrman wasn't leaving the workshop out of being too sad.

That said I feel like if you kill god with a person and they come to represent the things about you that tie you to humanity, you gotta love 'em.

Gehrman in the events of the game would do literally anything to see the awful little Vicar again believe me. Flora shapeshifts into him sometimes to try and cheer the guy up but it really doesn't work.
