Something really funny that's occurred to me is the way Joe talks about Maccie is like she's some catastrophic event that happened to their family "I can't believe she's been here that long." / "Everything's been different since she was born" / "Everything changed." / "She changed everything."
And it's just rlly funny to me. I want to up the dramaticness of his words at some point. And anyway, he's talking to the Samurai/Ronin for the first time and I'm wondering the impression he's getting lmao
Joe is certainly expressive to me, but only when he's given the chance. And I think w Ronin, he just started letting a lot of stuff out bc thus guy is gonna go on his way anyways.. but then he's like wait!!! Actually let me go?? For a little? (Platonic yearning so bad)
Ronin like 》^. "I suppose.. Alright, curious karate man, I'll accompany you a little longer."
Or something I'm messing around UGH
#the reason everything changed is bc joes mother passed away either shortly after Maccies birth or during#that started the strain w joe and sr but they also had.. her yk? its just sillay#dysfunctional karate family ily <3#sr isnt a terrible father he is just narrow sighted and firmly believes he knows best. he doesnt give his kids the room to grow- but he#really loves them. he just wants to protect them in a way i think.. he just lost his wife and i think that made his parenting way more#overbearing. buT ALSO. JOE JUST BEEFS W MACCIE BC YK SJXNXNX theyre siblings#espexially when they were younger. teen joe is sooo funny to me. teen angst ft this baby i dont want in my room KGLZLGKXMVKKC#in current theyre much much closer and Joe has remained Maccie's favorite person. but Joe still gets really annoyed / tired of her sometime#SRRY ugh ily karate family#also also ronin and maccie dynamic so real. i like ronin being patient with children. except maccie is wayyyy more antagonizing to him than#like my oc the lost girl. so fun!!!! sorry#karate maccie#rh head canon#< new tag#karate joe#sr isnt a bad dad on purpose agenda. sr could have the possibility to apologize and fix things one day.#maccies only ever known this version of her father and she doesnt have the capaxity to try and forgive him for certain things joe will#maccie is the golden child but she is also the problem child. she uses her favor to her advantage and to rile up her dad sometimes#just bevause she can and she has a little bit of a problem with him sometimes bc.. you know? shes a very ambitious teen and she doesnt wsnt#to be shackled..... and she doesnt like thinking of Joe as that way and UGH#i love them im normal#to elaborate a tiny bit more i hc joe as having chronic fatigue like myself. hes low spoons and he pushes himself despite it.#but his disability holds him back sometimes snd its like.. you know? he doesnt want to be the weak memver of the family so he keeps pushing#but he also cares about karate too. its not something negative to him. and stuff. even if its hard. its avtually good for his body / health#when he doesnt overexert himself anyway

Helloooo friends, foes, and general populace! This is my HP sideblog! I thought I should make an intro post, and explain some things, just because I like to be clear where I stand when I engage in materials that I (for lack of a better way to say this) don't entirely feel comfortable engaging with.
Anyway I read hp and watched the movie when I was very young, and then stopped because I very strongly disagreed with jkr's bigoted views. Enough so that even engaging in discussion about it put me off bevause it saddened me so greatly to see an author, of a story I had thought was about love and acceptance, do the opposite of that. And she's alive and has a decent bit of political power, and so her racism and queerphobia/transphobia is quite frightening.
I debated even making this blog because recently I've been having Thoughts tm about the characters (partly because everyone around me keeps talking about them) which makes me want to put my own thoughts out into the void, but I also don't know if engaging with media like this is a good idea. Just because I worry that engaging with media may inadvertently encourage its consumption in a way that monetarily benefits the author's platform (or even just benefits it in less direct ways, such as by exposure). So I'll keep thinking about this, is what I guess I'm saying.
----
and now.... onto some other things bc I kind of lurked in the hp tags for a month or so lol before I made this sideblog. and wow it is a bit scary out there LOL. So I thought I'd clarify my stance on certain things in terms of characters. (This is not a dni ! but I have noticed folks are quite heated on here abt their beloveds and beloatheds, so for the sake of potential people who may be deciding to follow/engage with me, here are some of my current opinions so you can avoid if these are things you dislike):
Harry is, and was always, my fave character in the series. I enjoy his character a lot!!
I don't enjoy seeing people bash him. I mean obviously. I didn't even know "bashing" was such a popular thing til I lurked in the hp tags and the ao3 tags. it's not for me I am afraid.
I really like the golden trio, flaws and all. hermione and ron were characters I really enjoyed <3
I don't like Snape, and he did a lot of things that bothered me. I'm not a fan of the personality type he displayed, and he reminds me of a couple terrifying childhood teachers I had (though I'll admit Snape wasn't quite as bad as them). HOWEVER. and I am gonna be so honest here. I love redemption arcs. so in fanworks where he's nicer, or learns to get along with Harry and co., I enjoy his character and may reblog things like that.
lowkey did not know the mauraders were such a big fandom lolol. I didn't think abt them much tbh (other than sirius and lupin as we see them as adults a lot more). so if I say things abt Snape I am not like... justifying anyone else's actions. or making claims on who was the instigator vs victim, or what have you.
I don't think Harry and Ginny's naming choices were that bad tbh 😭 (albus severus potter kind of slaps as a name, if taken on its own merit who said that)
what even is a robe?????? this last point isn't my opinion of anything I just genuinely have been puzzled abt this since I was a kid bc my sources are conflicting. maybe I should take the indigo girls' advice so I can finally live in peace bc this has bothered me for way too long.
okay I'll stop now. this is way too long. anyway I am simply here to chitter chatter and maybe post a couple fanwork things if I am feeling adventurous. feel free to say hi :)

Having siblings is a constant I wonder who I’ll be if I didn’t have them (positive) and I wonder who I’ll be if I didn’t have them (negative)
#for me at least#not sure positive and negative are the right words but perhaps it’s still understandable like this#do I love them? ofc who do you think keeps me going most days#but at the same time I think I resent them sometimes#like I’m tired of having to be the parents replacement basically#in the way that most stuff has been on my shoulders for the past five years (almost)#and it’s eating me alive#it’s like I can’t just have my own life it has to be adapted to them#I can’t just decide I want to go somewhere for a few hours without telling them otherwise I’m being called selfish#even when I can’t stand it anymore and need some kind of escape so decide to simply go to any store or place nearby by myself#if I dare not tell them they get mad because how dare you go somewhere without telling us what if we wanted something from there as well#I’m sorry but if you need something just go yourself perhaps#most of these places are not even 10 minutes away by car you can just go anytime#ah I also have to share my car with them#but since it’s my car they never bother to help clean it#like not even once have they offered to at least help clean it#I never go in the back they do all the dirtying there yet I have to clean it all#etc#this is like living with children at times but we’re all over 20#except one he’s not included in most of these#although at his age I did many many things he still doesn’t#but him I can still excuse some stuff#surprisingly he’s the least annoying one#which says a lot#oh I wrote all of this yesterday but today it’s actually worse <3

just watched suspiria and can recommend, i thought it was super silly and fun (and of course quite violent). everyone in the letterboxd reviews is going off about the direction and the lighting and the score or whatever but honestly? i really just enjoyed the plot itself, which is pretty rare for a horror movie. normally i want them to just shut up and start getting murdered after cursory exposition and a few one-liners but i was fully engaged in the mystery of this one even tho it was like not exactly mysterious. it kinda had the feel of something like dracula, where the audience knows exactly what tf the monster is but we're watching the characters try to figure it out. with the boarding school setting and the music and the witches it almost had like a h*rry p*tter vibe at points???? idk i had fun with it lmao

Writing Notes: Children's Dialogue
Language is extremely complex, yet children already know most of the grammar of their native language(s) before they are 5 years old.
BABBLING
Babbling begins at about 6 months and is considered the earliest stage of language acquisition
By 1 year babbles are composed only of the phonemes used in the language(s) they hear
Deaf babies babble with their hands like hearing babies babble using sounds
FIRST WORDS
After the age of one, children figure out that sounds are related to meanings and start to produce their first words
Usually children go through a holophrastic stage, where their one-word utterances may convey more meaning
Example: "Up" is used to indicate something in the sky or to mean “pick me up”
Most common first words (among the first 10 words uttered in many languages): “mommy,” “daddy,” “woof woof,” “no,” “bye,” “hi,” “yes,” “vroom,” “ball” and “banana”
WORD MEANINGS
When learning words, children often overextend a word’s meaning
Example: Using the word dog to refer to any furry, four-legged animal (overextensions tend to be based on shape, size, or texture, but never color)
They may also underextend a word’s meaning
Example: Using the word dog to refer only to the family pet, as if dog were a proper noun
The Whole Object Principle: When a child learns a new word, (s)he is likely to interpret the word to refer to a whole object rather than one of its parts
SYNTAX
At about two years of age, children start to put words together to form two-word utterances
The intonation contour extends over the two words as a unit, and the two-word utterances can convey a range of meanings:
Example: "mommy sock" = subject + object or possessive
NOTE: Chronological age is NOT a good measure of linguistic development due to individual differences, so instead linguists use the child’s mean length of utterance (MLU) to measure development
The telegraphic stage describes a phase when children tend to omit function morphemes such as articles, subject pronouns, auxiliaries, and verbal inflection
Examples: "He play little tune" or "Andrew want that"
Between 2;6 and 3;6 a language explosion occurs and children undergo rapid development
By the age of 3, most children consistently use function morphemes and can produce complex syntactic structures:
Examples: "He was stuck and I got him out" / "It’s too early for us to eat"
After 3;6 children can produce wh-questions, and relative pronouns
Sometime after 4;0 children have acquired most of the adult syntactic competence
PRAGMATICS
Deixis: Children often have problems with the shifting reference of pronouns
Children may refer to themselves as "you"
Problems with the context-dependent nature of deictic words: Children often assume the hearer knows who s/he is talking about
AUXILIARIES
In the telegraphic stage, children often omit auxiliaries from their speech but can form questions (with rising intonation) and negative sentences
Examples: "I ride train?" / "I not like this book"
As children acquire auxiliaries in questions and negative sentences, they generally use them correctly
SIGNED LANGUAGES
Deaf babies acquire sign language in the same way that hearing babies acquire spoken language: babbling, holophrastic stage, telegraphic stage
When deaf babies are not exposed to sign language, they will create their own signs, complete with systematic rules
IMITATION, REINFORCEMENT, ANALOGY
Children do imitate the speech heard around them to a certain extent, but language acquisition goes beyond imitation
Children produce utterances that they never hear from adults around them, such as "holded" or "tooths"
Children cannot imitate adults fully while acquiring grammar
Example:
Adult: "Where can I put them?" Child: "Where I can put them?"
Children who develop the ability to speak later in their childhood can understand the language spoken around them even if they cannot imitate it
NOTE: Children May Resist Correction
Example: Cazden (1972) (observation attributed to Jean Berko Gleason) – My teacher holded the baby rabbits and we patted them. – Did you say your teacher held the baby rabbits? – Yes. – What did you say she did? – She holded the baby rabbits and we patted them. – Did you say she held them tightly? – No, she holded them loosely.
Another theory asserts that children hear a sentence and then use it as a model to form other sentences by analogy
But while analogy may work in some situations, certainly not in all situations:
– I painted a red barn. – I painted a barn red. – I saw a red barn. – I saw a barn red.
Children never make mistakes of this kind based on analogy which shows that they understand structure dependency at a very young age
BIRTH ORDER
Children’s birth order may affect their speech.
Firstborns often speak earlier than later-born children, most likely because they get more one-on-one attention from parents.
They favor different words than their siblings.
Whereas firstborns gabble on about animals and favorite colors, the rest of the pack cut to the chase with “brother,” “sister,” “hate” and such treats as “candy,” “popsicles” and “donuts.”
The social dynamics of siblings, it would appear, prime their vocabularies for a reality different than the firstborns’ idyllic world of sheep, owls, the green of the earth and the blue of the sky.
MOTHER'S LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Children may adopt vocabulary quite differently depending on their mother’s level of education.
In American English, among the words disproportionately favored by the children of mothers who have not completed secondary education are: “so,” “walker,” “gum,” “candy,” “each,” “could,” “wish,” “but,” “penny” and “be” (ordered starting with the highest frequency).
The words favored by the children of mothers in the “college and above” category are: “sheep,” “giraffe,” “cockadoodledoo,” “quack quack,” the babysitter’s name, “gentle,” “owl,” “zebra,” “play dough” and “mittens.”
BOYS / GIRLS
One area of remarkable consistency across language groups is the degree to which the language of children is gendered.
The words more likely to be used by American girls than by boys are: “dress,” “vagina,” “tights,” “doll,” “necklace,” “pretty,” “underpants,” “purse,” “girl” and “sweater.”
Whereas those favored by boys are “penis,” “vroom,” “tractor,” “truck,” “hammer,” “bat,” “dump,” “firetruck,” “police” and “motorcycle.”
Tips for Writing Children's Dialogue (compiled from various sources cited below):
Milestones - The dialogue you write should be consistent with the child's developmental milestones for their age. Of course, other factors should be considered such as if the child has any speech or intellectual difficulties. Also note that developmental milestones are not set in stone and each child is unique in their own way.
Too "Cutesy" - If your child characters are going to be cute, they must be cute naturally through the force of their personality, not because the entire purpose of their existence is to be adorable.
Too Wise - It’s true kids have the benefit of seeing some situations a little more objectively than adults. But when they start calmly and unwittingly spouting all the answers, the results often seem more clichéd and convenient than impressive or ironic.
Unintelligent - Don’t confuse a child’s lack of experience with lack of intelligence.
Baby Talk - Don’t make a habit of letting them misuse words. Children are more intelligent than most people think.
Unique Individuals - Adults often tend to lump all children into a single category: cute, small, loud, and occasionally annoying. Look beyond the stereotype.
Personal Goals - The single ingredient that transforms someone from a static character to a dynamic character is a goal. It can be easy to forget kids also have goals. Kids are arguably even more defined by their goals than are adults. Kids want something every waking minute. Their entire existence is wrapped up in wanting something and figuring out how to get it.
Don't Forget your Character IS a Child - Most of the pitfalls in how to write child characters have to do with making them too simplistic and childish. But don’t fall into the opposite trap either: don’t create child characters who are essentially adults in little bodies.
Your Personal Observation - To write dialogue that truly sounds like it could come from a child, start by being an attentive listener. Spend time around children and observe how they interact with their peers and adults. You can also study other pieces of media that show/write about children's behaviour (e.g., documentaries, films, TV shows, even other written works like novels and scripts).
Context - The context in which children speak is crucial to creating realistic dialogue. Consider their environment, who they're speaking to, and what's happening around them. Dialogue can change drastically depending on whether a child is talking to a friend, a parent, or a teacher. Additionally, children's language can be influenced by their cultural background, family dynamics, and personal experiences. Make sure the context informs the dialogue, lending credibility to your characters' voices.

Hello, I hope you're fine!! If you are open for requests, how do you think the lads men would react to mc telling them her period is late?
Hii, so sorry for the delay. Uni and work have been crazy and I finally managed to sit down to write
Soo let's start with Zayne. He tracks your period so he knows it's late, hence he doesn't even seem fazed when you burst into his office panicking.
"Yes, 8 days to be exact. You've been under stress these two weeks and don't even eat meals properly. Although, I suggest taking a test and in case of pregnancy I'll schedule and appointment with the gynecologist in our hospital"
You can't help but look at him shocked by his calm demeanour.
"Of course, I would tell all of these 2 days ago if only you didn't ditch our appointment. Now, if you excuse me I have a patient waiting for me in surgery room"
He rose from his chair heading to the door but stopped in front of you.
"I hope you know, in case of pregnancy you don't have anything to worry about"
You just nod your head still dumbfounded and he left the room with a kiss on your forehead.
I imagine Sylus also tracking your period and he wants you to be pregnant so bad. He is the one to tell you that you're pregnant, actually. One night, when you're in the kitchen deciding on late night snack he stands beside you with his arms crossed.
"Your period is late"
He brushes off your question about him tracking your period, instead repeating his statement. You make a mental calculations and just shrug.
"Only by 3 days. It's no big deal"
He clears his throat.
"It might become a big deal. You should take a test just in case"
"It happens sometimes. Like I said, no big deal"
"Take a test, just to be sure"
"First of all it's too early. Second of all, we use protection-"
"We know it doesn't protect 100% of times"
"Oh, stop worrying, will you? I'm not pregnant"
You finally decide on strawberry yogurt.
"I think you are mistaken, sweetie. I do not fret over the possibility of you being pregnant. Quite the opposite, if we are being honest..." he mumbles the last part under his breath but you squint at him.
"Sylus"
"Yes, sweetie?"
"Do you want me to be pregnant or something?"
A small smirk pulls on his mouth
"I am definitely not opposed to the idea"
You shake your head standing on your toes to peck his cheek but he turns his head to kiss you. Even after dating him for so long this small gesture leaves you blushing mess.
"I'll be in our room" you tell him and he nods still with the lovestruck look on his face. Once you leave the room he pinches his nose mumbling about canceling the order of baby-proof items.
Poor Rafayel doesn't know what hit him. Sure he has imagined having a family with you but didn't expect it to be so soon. What do you mean there might be a baby? He's the baby. There's going to be another person you'll love as much as you love him? He has to share now? This can't get worse. And as you look at him nervously he realises you're waiting for his answer.
"Late... okay, cool cool cool...  how late?"
"7 days"
He scoffs as if it's nothing.
"7 days is nothing, right? It's- uh did you take the test?"
"Yes-"
"It's negative, right?"
His hopeful tone makes you scrunch your eyebrows.
"It is" you say hesitantly "but it's still too early to be sure. I'll take another one tomorrow"
"Yeah, of course. Okay"  He seems to calm down
"Umm Rafayel... do you not want me to be-" you clear your throat "what if I'm pregnant?"
It just hit him that he's making this worse for you.
"Oh, cutie. It's not that. I want to have children with you... someday" he avoids your eyes "it's just... yourattentionwouldbeonthemallthetime"
You just give him a look that hints you have no idea what he just said. He sighs, giving up.
"Your attention would be on them and you'll cast me aside and I'm not ready for that" He admits blushing.
"Okay well, if I turn out to be pregnant..." you trail off not knowing, or not wanting, to finish your sentence.
"I'll be there, all the way. That's my kid too, ya know"
You crack a small smile
"You're weird"
"Well, you're not perfect either" he scoffs "nevermind, you are perfect"
You just laugh at him.
Xavier is so confused
"It's late. That's amaaaziiing....lyy bad..?" He tries to construct a sentence based on your expression but fails miserably "can you tell me what that means?"
"Well I don't know. It might be nothing serious but there's a chance I might be pregnant but we always use protection so I don't know how..." You sit with your head in your hands "I'm scared"
Xavier falling silent doesn't help your panic at all.
"Please say something"
"I'm going to be a father?"
You let out a confused laugh.
"I don't know. Probably not, but you might. I have an appointment with doctor Zayne tomorrow so maybe we'll know"
"I'm going to be a father"
You start to think you broke him
"Xavier... we don't know yet"
"Yeah, of course. But I would like to have a child with you"
He closes the distance, placing his hands on your hips
"Do you not want to..."
"I wasn't planning on it yet, but I'm not against it"
He smiles gently.
"Don't get your hopes up yet, though"
"Of course"
But as you leave the room you hear him saying "I'm gonna be a dad" to himself.
One evening, Caleb comes home and lets out a sigh when he enters kitchen.
"Okay, why is the breakfast I made for you still untouched in the refrigerator? We agreed you'd eat meals properly y'know?.. Pipsquak?" He calls out in the end when he receives no answer from you. He finds you in your bedroom sitting on the bed with your knees to your chest.
"What's wrong?" He's alert.
"My period is late"
"Oh my god" He starts laughing sitting beside you and pulling you into a hug. "No wayy, did you take a test? Are we gonna have little you and me running around? I'm definitely teaching them how to shoot a gun"
"Shut up for a minute" you grumble in his chest "I didn't take a test. It's only 5 days, I don't think test would show it if I was pregnant"
"I'll buy them anyway. Bunch of them, so you can take one everyday till it shows positive"
His ridiculous statement pulls a giggle out of you.
"Glad to know you're okay with it"
"Try ecstatic"
You look up at him and spot a mischievous grin on his face.
"You know... you'd be a milf"
That earns a smack on his chest
"Idiot"
"This idiot is going to be a father of your children, so be nice"
"I might not be even pregnant"
"I can take care of that"
He laughs at another smack he receives.

🌛Astro Observations - 3🔭
Note: This post fits both the Western and Vedic systems. Take what resonates and leave the rest. One placement or aspect cannot say much and the whole chart has to be analyzed to know further. Lemme know in the comments if any of these hit home!
Men with Venus in Gemini contradict themselves when it comes to attraction in women. They say women with x and y qualities doing z things attract them and marry someone with a and b qualities who do c things. I've noticed that in charts that these men tend to marry a woman completely different from those they have dated before. Their wife would be very different from the women they have had relationships with.
Women with Jupiter in the 5th house want a partner who would be a good husband and a father to their children, similar to a man having Moon in the 5th house. They do have dating opportunities, but they don't rush into relationships. They enter a relationship with the idea of marrying their partner someday. Jupiter makes them wise in the dating and romance matters and for men having Moon in the 5th makes them choose a woman who would be the mother of their children.
People having Jupiter in the 7th house, Venus conjunct Mars, Mercury in Gemini 7th house or Mercury in Aquarius 7th house of their birth chart tend to be attracted to both men and women. Not all of them but many are.
Venus in the 5th house people can try modeling, acting, singing, etc. Most likely to have daughters rather than sons. Also, their children would look beautiful/handsome, and children are often complimented for their good looks.
Men with Lilith in the 12th are often attracted to women who give them the "taboo/ forbidden" kind of attraction. They often hide/bury deep down what they're attracted to, fearing society would call them a misogynist or a bad person. They are drawn to women who already have a partner or women who don't date/are inexperienced or are married women. Their attraction to women, in simple terms, would be considered unacceptable in society.
Women with Lilith in the 10th, seriously, I feel bad for them. Any 10th house Lilith here? Show yourself! This placement makes them prone to gain a negative reputation in the public or for their work. Even if they worked really hard and climbed the social ladder and built everything brick by brick, people would see these poor souls commenting that they slept their way, used their appearance to stand where they are. Comments like "she's hot but dumb", "she should have slept with him to stand where she is now". Also, these women are prone to attract not-so-well-intentioned men in their lives at times. People would think they sleep with every man they go out or seen with, even if they're just posing for a friendly photo with a random man they don't even know well.
Women with Lilith in the 11th, ladies, your social circle is enough to betray you, badmouth you behind your back, and backstab you at the worst possible time, which hurts worse than a breakup. You might have had at least one bestie that you're close with who betrayed you or badmouthed you behind your back. Am I right? Also, you are terrible at picking friends. You're successful at choosing the wrong person to be your friend 8/10 times. You might even lose hope in friendships at some point or stay away from friendships overall. Also, take care of your private photos and DO NOT trust your friends with them or if you're in your 20s already, you should have learned by this point.
Mars in Libra people wanted peace and harmony in relationships rather than being rich but somehow manage to fall for people who bring nothing but drama. Sometimes, you like to argue because you're bored and want some entertainment.
Mars in 5th house people might face trouble completing their education or dropping out at some point. Home-schooling or part-time education is a possibility. Also, this is a placement for an unplanned pregnancy as well. If not taking abortion pills or such, they might even end up with a kid as a teen or as an undergrad.
Mars in the 3rd house people have strong hands. Their hands are the strongest parts of their body. Prominent drummers, musicians, boxers, wrestlers have this placement and also adding electronics engineer, gym coach, plumber, mechanical engineer, MMA fighter, etc to this list.
3rd lord in the 11th house people are good at drawing or at least love to draw a lot. They like DIYs and crafts. As a kid, these natives pick on pencils and other stationery items with their favorite cartoon or comic character in it and even when they get past 30, they would still be watching comics, cartoons or playing games. This is also a good placement for someone to pursue a career in game development, comic writing, animation, costume designing, how-to and tutorials, etc.
North node in the 6th house people can get fired out of nowhere and gain money when they least expect it. This placement makes their daily routine unconventional in some form and in some cases, this can manifest as a physical or mental disability. They can be allergic to certain medications as well.

Delivery boy
word count; 717 – f!reader
Tumblr media
Akaashi gulped as he reread the order to ensure he wasn’t hallucinating his predicament.
Please send your cutest delivery boy<3
The sushi shop he worked at was family-owned, mainly run by the older family members, whose children went to university and couldn’t help deliver anymore. Thus, they hired him.
And when someone sent this request with their delivery order, the ladies had cooed and assured him he must be exactly what they were looking for. Those ladies loved their sweet, honorary family member.
He, however, wasn’t so sure. He looked at his reflection in a window he passed on his bike, pulling at the collar of his uniform and feeling the clammy edge, suddenly also noticing how the hair that peeked out of his cap clung to his forehead.
Honestly, didn’t feel like the kind of cute boy they wanted. At least not today.
Not when he had rolled out of bed way too late after studying until midnight last night. He broke his shower time record this morning and was incredibly thankful for his uniform including a cap when he had to leave it to dry by itself on the way to work.
Turning onto your street, he shook his head, trying to rid it of irrelevant negative thoughts. He has to deliver it anyway, it’s just a funny request.
It’s fine. It’s fine. It’s fine.
He parked his bike by the curb, taking a look around for anyone who looked like they might want a new bike for free before choosing to put the bike lock on even if he wasn’t staying.
The window on the door greeted him with his reflection once again, and he instinctively adjusted his glasses. Checking the names on the doorbells for the apartment building, he found the right one according to the order instructions and rang it.
It didn’t take long before he could hear two giggling voices from behind the door, making him purse his lips nervously and clutch the bag of food that he pulled from the delivery bag a minute ago.
“Hi! Can I pay by card?” you asked while Akaashi handed over your order. He nodded, going back into the delivery bag to fish out the handheld card machine.
“Did you write cutest boy in town?”
“Shh!” you hushed your friend, who hid behind the other door and just peeked at Akaashi through the little window. “Sorry about that…” you mumbled and held up your credit card, which was decorated with cute stickers.
Akaashi cleared his throat, completely overthinking it and assuming your friend thought you had forgotten to specify since you only got him. “I’m sorry, we currently don’t have any other delivery staff.”
You looked up with wide eyes, startling him. “What? No, you’re plenty cute!” you clarified before planting your face in your hands in defeat. “I mean- don’t worry about it. You’re great.”
Akaashi tried not to smile, finding you beautiful already and even sweeter when you were flustered. Flustered about him nonetheless. “Oh. Thank you.”
You came out of hiding to pay, but quickly lifted your card again. “Wait, is there a student discount?”
Akaashi hummed in thought before nodding, turning the machine’s screen back to himself. “Can I see your student ID?”
He was rolling on his heels while you fumbled for the other card in your pocket, holding it up so he could check. Instead of looking at the date, like he was supposed to, he observed your name and picture, then the school logo in the corner.
“Hm? We go to the same university.”
While he put in the student discount and then held the card reader out again, you said something about hoping you might see him around.
His teeth showed when he smiled, keeping his eyes on where the payment was confirmed because he knew that looking at your pretty face might give him heart palpitations at this point.
There was an added tip as well, so he politely bowed his head before stepping back. “I’ll keep my eye out for you.”
He practically skipped down the steps, back straight as he glanced over his shoulder and just managed to catch you still looking at him through the window on the door before disappearing when he caught you.
Cutest delivery boy in town, huh.

"I like food"
I saw many posts people saying how random Shouto's line is about praying at Touya's altar and realizing that he likes food - and I wanted to point to how it helps wrapping up his arc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shouto is saying: "When I was praying at Touya's butsudan (Buddhist altar), I suddenly realized something, I liked eating food. I realized there's more to me than just the person I want to become."
Food was a "negative space in the Todoroki family, so liking food was not evident to Shoto growing up.
In Shouto's flashbacks with his family, we never see him eat food. His only memory tied to the kitchen is the kettle incident. We know from Natsuo that Shouto ate alone, a diet prescribed by Endeavor, no doubt all geared towards maximum performance, rather than enjoyment. Not even knowing your siblings favorite food is the ultimate symbol of how dysfunctional the household was.
Tumblr media
2. Food was a positive space in Class A - tied to comfort, bonding, friendship
In class A, Shouto starts eating with Iida and Midoriya after the Stain incident. Food becomes comfort, connection, sharing, caring, teamwork, etc. He experiences things like using his fire to prepare food together, eating together, cleaning up.
Many memorable Shouto-scenes are tied to Class A eating together (e.g. heroes cry too) and he connects to Inasa over a discussion about favorite foods (udon vs soba) which is a theme that carries over to his endgame with Touya
Tumblr media
3. As the Todoroki family tries to reconnect, food plays a central role
As the family changes, they attempt to reconnect around the family dinner table (the famous sluuurp scenes). But Todoroki dinners end in a disaster - still they are useful bringing to the surface important conflicts and trying to communicate about them (another important theme discussed in Shoto Rising).
There is more in the light novels: Shoto's and Rei's decade late reconnection as Rei offers him a little kid strawberry milk that she remembers he liked when he was 5, and their attempt to connect with Natsuo ending up in a mush of ruined soba - it's all out of sync.
Tumblr media
4. Food as a symbol of lost time and broken futures
Food is also very central for the hopes of a happier future: Enji's dream of his family at the dinner table, Natsuo's regret about years of missed meals, Shoto wanting to share noodles with Toya, all culminating in the heartbreaking realization that they have the same favorite food they'll never get to share.
Tumblr media
5. Food as a symbol of processing grief and healing
Praying at the butsudan (the Buddhist altar at home set up for a deceased loved one) involves the preparation of offerings of food and drinks, which then the family eats afterwards. We see this practice referenced in Ch 249 when Enji prays at Toya's altar.
Tumblr media
So Shouto making a reference to it is a shorthand for telling us that Touya died at some point, Shouto is still grieving him and just like Deku and Ochako, he's trying to make sense for himself out of their short encounter. So wanting to learn how to make chopsticks and bowls (a traditional Japanese craft of woodwork and applying lacquer, often involving intricate patterns) implies that he wants to bring Touya the perfect offering, but also that he's finally stepping outside fully of the framework Endeavor created for the family, where children are cast into roles of heroes, villains and by-standers, masterpieces and failures but never human beings. He's thinking about what connects him and Touya together and who they would have been in a different story.
6. Shouto's personal arc
Shouto's character was always about balance. Balance between past and future, ice and fire, duty and family, etc. So crafting chopsticks and bowls to elevate good food connects the grief and survival guilt with healing and growth. It is both a tribute to Touya's memory and a new possible hobby to express still undiscovered sides of himself.
It fits the theme of the chapter "More" - as it focuses on what lies beyond being a hero, reaching a goal, working hard and how Izuku, Ochako and Shouto have been transformed by their experiences of trying to save their villains.
But it also fits Shouto's personal arc that was about discovering who Shouto really is. Earlier in the chapter, Shouto refers to being constrained into the framework of a bigger story, where his choices are bound to happen. As a hero of the sidestory of that manga, Shouto has no choice but decide what kind of a hero he wants to be (not-Endeavor, like All Might, reassuring, family hero). Encounters with his family helped crystallized this image of himself.
But now that he's being released from this story, he can look outside of the framework of a hero manga and discover those "more sides than just a hero". And Touya was the last encounter - the last piece of that puzzle. I think there is a parallel in how Tomura destroyed much of hero society - Touya also destroyed the foundations of the Todoroki family, so something different can maybe built.
Without Touya, I think the family would have kept at trying to piece themselves together in a tense, fake kind of peace to keep up appearances. If nothing else, Touya's actions tore through that need of saving face - leaving them all exposed and grappling with the harsh realities of their actions. But I think it also allowed the younger siblings to step outside the cage their parents created for them and build things better from scratch. It allows them to find more sides to themselves outside of the logic of the Todoroki household.

Note
Individual men aren't equally predisposed to committing rape. men are approximately 49% of the population and commit 80% of violent crime. The correlation to testosterone to physical aggression is indisputable -- this correlation between masculinization and aggression exists even in women.
These antisocial behaviors are the subverted, shadow aspect to the more predominant masculine (even in masculine women) urge to provide and protect, which entails necessary and selective objectification and aggression.
“There is no female Mozart because there is no female Jack the Ripper.” is what Camille Paglia said. Genius, she argues, takes obsession, which produces good and bad talents and skills. Women fall in the middle of the IQ spectrum and men on the ends.
Social forces are certainly at play, but I want to stay focused. trauma or other external factors may serve to explain, but not excuse behavior. Feminine crime is more likely to be focused on family -- children, partners, elders, and others in the immediate family.
https://time.com/2921491/hope-solo-women-violence/
Women are at least equally as likely as men to initiate DV. 40% of victims in a DV study in America were men. Women are at least as likely as men to abuse their children and are the perpetrators in at least half of child maltreatment cases. Lesbian couples also have the highest rate of DV -- 44%, compared to 35% of straight women and 26% of gay men.
Anecdotally speaking, I was abused physically and psychologically by my mother, who was abused physically and psychologically by both her parents. I was also SA'd by a man. Both sexes have their share of degenerates who harm others. Whether their personalities or social experiences are masculine, feminine, or somewhere in between likely has an effect on how they express their violence. Everyone who commits a crime against another should be held accountable, I just disagree with the dichotomy that men are assumed to be perps and women are assumed to be victims.
I'm going to respond to this in parts.
"Individual men aren't equally predisposed to committing rape."
No, no one is ever equally predisposed to anything since that would require the confluence of innumerable, mostly unknown, factors. I have never made this claim; I don't of anyone who has ever made this claim.
"Men are approximately 49% of the population and commit 80% of violent crime."
This technically true in the USA [1]. However, it also leaves out the fact that men account for closer to 90% of homicide offenders in the USA and closer to 95% of homicides worldwide [2]. And those statistics don't even consider the fact that many female homicide offenders were acting in self defense. Men also account for closer to 90-95% of all sex offenders [3].
That is to say, a greater proportion of women's offenses are "simple assault" than men's [4]. (Simple assault is generally defined as either a threat of physical harm without any actual harm or minor acts of assault without resulting injury like slapping someone, grabbing their arm, or spitting on them.)
All in all, men commit the vast majority of violent crime and an even larger proportion of serious violent crime.
"The correlation to testosterone to physical aggression is indisputable -- this correlation between masculinization and aggression exists even in women."
No, no it is not, and no it does not.
This meta-analysis [5] found a correlation of 0.08 between testosterone and aggression. To be clear, a correlation score can range from -1 to +1, with -1 indicating a perfect negative correlation, +1 indicating a perfect positive correlation, and 0 indicating no correlation. A correlation of 0.08 is an extremely weak correlation.
Another, more recent, meta-analysis [6] found a 0.05 correlation between aggression and testosterone and no statistically significant causal effect of testosterone on aggression. Changes in testosterone were weakly correlated with aggression (0.16) and this was only in men. Importantly, this result may have been influenced by publication bias (see the study for details). Again, to be clear, they found no evidence of a causal connection between testosterone and aggression.
The lack causal connection is important, as some research as presented in this review [7] and meta-analysis [8], suggests that behavior/external events (like winning a competition) can increase testosterone. This raises an important question: can acting/being aggressive independently raise testosterone? If so, (and it does appear likely) then men who choose to act aggressive may be raising their testosterone levels; when recorded in a correlational format this results in the positive (albeit weak) correlation discussed above.
Here's some other, single study results:
In women, performing (acting out) a performance of power, whether in a traditionally masculine or feminine way, increased their level of testosterone [9]
In men, testosterone increases both pro-social and anti-social "status enhancing" behaviors [10]
Testosterone is associated with both "socially dominant [note: not necessarily aggressive] behavior among high-status persons, but strategic submission to seniority among lower-status persons" in men [11]
Testosterone is associated with greater pro-social behavior in women [12]
In an animal (male gerbil) model, testosterone caused prosocial behavior depending on "current social context" [13]
All in all, the correlation between testosterone and aggression is (1) not indisputable, (2) extremely weak, and (3) doesn't appear to apply to women.
"These antisocial behaviors are the subverted, shadow aspect to the more predominant masculine (even in masculine women) urge to provide and protect, which entails necessary and selective objectification and aggression."
Anon ... no. First of all, you appear to be treating "masculine" behavior as if it is biologically innate - for which there is no evidence - rather than socially determined.
You act as if women have not been "providing" since women existed. As if women haven't been involved in growing and domesticating plants and animals, haven't been taking care of children, haven't been growing and giving birth to all the children in history. Even the traditional "feminine" role emphasizes "providing" and "nurturing" the family.
I have the exact same comments for "protect", but more importantly: protect from what anon? From the weather? Bears? Disease? No. It's men. Men protect women from other men and then expect us to be grateful, as if it isn't men who have created the need for protection.
Beyond all that: even if the "masculine urge to provide and protect" were a real thing (and not something women have always been involved in), it still would not necessitate the "selective objectification and aggression". This argument isn't even logical ... why would "providing" need objectification? If there were no aggression what would be left to protect?
"There is no female Mozart ... "
Absolutely hilarious example to choose, anon. Meet, the female Mozart: Maria Anna “Nannerl” Mozart (his sister) [14].
And here's some other female contemporaries of Mozart [15]. I suggest Google as a resource to find more.
"...because there is no female Jack the Ripper."
While it is true that the number of male serial killers does outnumber female serial killers (and the disparity is even wider for those who kill specifically for sadism), there have, in fact, been some.
"Genius, she argues, takes obsession, which produces good and bad talents and skills. Women fall in the middle of the IQ spectrum and men on the ends."
I find the argument that obsession -> genius to be very concerning, and don't expect there are any sources on that. In particular, serial killer IQs tend to follow the same range as non-serial killers (source in last linked post).
And no, the idea that women fall in the middle of the IQ spectrum is not supported by high quality evidence.
This extensive multi-country review [16] on math performance found that the "variance ratio" (the measure for what you're describing) varies widely between countries and is related to social inequality. This suggests the differences in variance are a result of environmental not innate differences.
This longitudinal study [17] claims to find differences in girl's and boy's IQ scores, but the differences found are within the margin of error of the test. This means that a sex difference is unlikely to exist, and is, at the very least, not reliably measurable. It also suggests that any difference in the variance of IQ scores, is very small. (And see above for possible alternative explanations of this difference.)
"Social forces are certainly at play"
Yes, as indicated above.
"but I want to stay focused."
Focused on what??
"trauma or other external factors may serve to explain, but not excuse behavior."
Agreed (mostly). They may serve as a partial explanation yes, but people can experience trauma or other hardships without engaging in violence.
"Feminine crime is more likely to be focused on family -- children, partners, elders, and others in the immediate family." + [The link]
Correct, most crime by women is aimed at people they know. See above posts (when I spoke about homicide) for further discussion on this.
The link is an anecdotal source on this topic, again, refer to my earlier discussions.
"Women are at least equally as likely as men to initiate DV. 40% of victims in a DV study in America were men. Women are at least as likely as men to abuse their children and are the perpetrators in at least half of child maltreatment cases."
This is completely false. The idea that women perpetrate domestic violence or child abuse at similar rates as men, is a misogynistic myth.
See this post for an explanation. Also, this source [18] discusses the topic of women and domestic violence perpetration; I plan to eventually make a post on this topic, but in the meantime that source is an excellent place to start.
"Lesbian couples also have the highest rate of DV -- 44%, compared to 35% of straight women and 26% of gay men."
This is also a myth. A misogynistic and homophobic myth.
I'm not sure where you got those specific numbers, but I believe the origin of the myth started in the one of the CDC's reports on "Victimization by Sexual Identity" [19]. See this post for an explanation on why you shouldn't use this data to try and estimate perpetration. (Short version: it isn't weighted to be representative of the perpetrator population.) For the intimate partner violence portion in particular, it shares the same issues I describe in my post debunking the last two myths (i.e., reliance on the CTS and issues there within.)
More importantly, they don't report on the sex of the perpetrator for domestic violence, so we also have no idea if the lifetime prevalence rate of domestic violence is a result of prior relationships with a man. Data on other forms of victimization support the possibility, with 73% of lesbian victims reporting only male perpetrators of any contact sexual violence and 90% of lesbian victims reporting only male perpetrators of rape. In addition, 52% of lesbian victims report only male perpetrators of stalking.
This BJS report "Violent Victimization by Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity, 2017–2020" [20] shows a similar rate of intimate partner violence for homosexual and heterosexual individuals. Importantly, however, this combines male and female homosexual individuals into one category, so we don't know the specific rate for female homosexuals.
"Anecdotally speaking, I was abused physically and psychologically by my mother, who was abused physically and psychologically by both her parents. I was also SA'd by a man."
This is terrible, and I hope you are safe and able to heal.
"Both sexes have their share of degenerates who harm others."
Sure, I mentioned the female serial killers. Notably, however, if you take a random sample of "degenerates who harm others" the vast majority are men.
"Whether their personalities or social experiences are masculine, feminine, or somewhere in between likely has an effect on how they express their violence."
I do not know what you mean by this. Socialization definitely plays a significant role in why men are so much more violent than women, but "feminine" men can and have been as violent as "masculine" men and "masculine" women have been as non-violent as "feminine" women.
"Everyone who commits a crime against another should be held accountable"
Yes.
"I just disagree with the dichotomy that men are assumed to be perps and women are assumed to be victims."
Anon, you started this ask by acknowledging that men commit 80% of violent crime (and I clarified that men commit 90+% of serious violent crime). This disparity is significant enough that it is perfectly reasonable to treat violent crime as a gendered phenomenon.
There are always exceptions and outliers. The existence of these cases does not invalidate the trend, nor should they deter the generalizations needed for meaningful class analysis.
Now, if you want to advocate against violence in general, draw attention to "male-on-male" violence and work to reduce it, that's also reasonable, and I wish you luck with your endeavor. (In all likelihood, feminist activism will - and already has - reduced male-on-male violence, even when it wasn't a specific target.)
But you still need to acknowledge that violence is primarily the domain of men. You also need to recognize that feminism is a movement by and for women. Our focus will always be male violence against women.

:*Trigger Warning for Abuse:** An analysis of the nuanced depiction of abuse dynamics in *Baldur's Gate 3*. Please skip if you’re uncomfortable with this topic or you hate long rants <3
Tumblr media
**Cazador at the Head of the Table, and His Forced Family, with Astarion as the Scapegoat**
Cazador is one of the best-written abusers in fiction, and Astarion is one of the best depictions of a non perfect survivor. Showcasing how abusers systematically break down their victims in a way that is thoughtful and non-voyeuristic, and how this may effect the victim after.
Astarion often receives criticism for his behavior. Much if it valid. I don’t seek to excuse his actions or speak about him as if he were a real person, But to break down this amazingly written narrative and how his experiences shape his character and a depiction of a non perfect victim. It's great to see actions having consequences in the story and being the driving force in chatecter development and I think it was handled very respectfully
One of the most compelling aspects of Astarion's story is the depiction of the "scapegoat" abuse tactic. Where a caregiver selects one child as the primary target of ridicule and abuse. Astarion says, "He took a special pleasure in my pain. He said my screams sounded sweetest." Often, the scapegoat is the child who most reminds the abuser of themselves when they were most vulnerable, or has similarities to the abuser of the parent or even someone they witnessed being abused when they were a child. The abuser uses this child to demonstrate the consequences of disobedience, and as a way of bonding the other children against the scapegoat, often by forcing the other children to engage in abuse themselves. The parent will inflict the trauma they were exposed to when they were most vulnerable on their child in a twisted way to re-gain their own power and autonomy buy projecting it onto someone elses. Acting out scenarios where they felt weak but now they are the one with all the power.
Cazador's tactics of infantilization are particularly gut-wrenching. He calls Astarion a "stupid little boy" and forces him to call him "father," undermining his belief in his ability to make adult decisions on his own while simultaneously also forcing him into adult work and physical abuse. A way to break down his self esteem and take away his autonomy. This adds another level to Cazador's twisted, intimate abuse.
It's evident when you ask if Astarion called Cazador "master" in the bedroom, and he reacts negatively. It is also implied in the dialogue, "One final thrust... and I'll be rid of you..." as Astarion stands over Cazador, ready to stab him with a phalic symbol and Cazador in a submissive position.
In a Shadowheart playthrough, we see how Astarion seeks someone to follow because he doesn’t know how to think for himself. Auntie Ethel remarks that he misses his chains, and he admits he doesn't know how to make his own decisions. In Astarion's dream, you learn one of Cazador's rules is that Astarion must stay by his side unless told otherwise. We also see that Cazador regularly dined with Astarion, serving him putrid rats. He says "I have spent two centuries with You, and that should be punishment enough," which is quite an intimate insult. In non of these are the other spawn mentioned. He also mentions his sarcasm and jokes, something you wouldn't really think Cazador would permit. This suggesting an intense, twisted co-dependency. A lot of time spent alone together. As what? His child? His slave? His lover? It's sickening. Cazador seemed to want to fill every potential key roll in Astarions life. This is actually pretty common in adults relationships.
The extent of physical abuse is further revealed when Astarion sees the mad doctor in the House of Healing and remarks, "he's just like Cazador." The narrator says, "If you're late, he will flay you... again," and Astarion states, "Sometimes he would have us submit to torture. Other times he would have us torture ourselves."
So, why does Cazador do all this? Beyond sadistic pleasure and rituals off higher power, I believe it's driven by a fear of abandonment. His goal is to strip Astarion of any autonomy so he would return even if freed. When speaking to Cazador alone, he's convinced Astarion will come back because he cannot think for himself. Cazador wants to be the center of Astarion's life, and truly believes he is. A narcissist needing to see himself reflected in others, he required Astarion by his side to validate his awful existence. If Astarion leaves, Cazador feels he's losing an extension of himself. That Astarion is his and his alone to kill.
I also believe he genuinely wants to play house. That he wants a picture perfect family. We don't know much about Cazador before the game, only that he was from a vampire family. That his niece refused to partake. It's quite clear he felt like he was missing something in his family. We know his master committed acts of cruelty far beyond what he did to his own spawn, impaling him for ten years and draining his friend Infront of him. Surly a year of solitude is like being sent to your bedroom without supper compared to that? By Cazadors logic, he's far kinder than he was ever treated. He's been kinder and more loving than his own family. His children should be grateful that he protected them from what he went through. He believes his children are spoiled and if anything he has been to soft. After all, he gave thim his families birth right far above their station, eternal life. He gave them a family that will never abandon them. What more could they want?
And if course, we as plays see this cycle continues with AA, who says he will be a far kinder master he'd never make his dear lover eat rats. They wouldn't be his child, more a pampered pet. Compared to how Astarion was treated, what more could they want?
And how very true to live that an abuser will preach about how much worse they had things and how lucky their victims are. How soft they must be to complain.
This gives us a clear picture of Astarion at the start: someone with a fragile sense of self, preferring to see others tortured rather than be the one in the chair, and looking for someone to follow. He'll fake a smile to keep them around. While this doesn't excuse his cruelty, it explains it; Astarion is free for less than a day when you meet him. There are no perfect victims, and unlearning brainwashing takes time. Reducing Astarion to "evil" or "good" overlooks the complexity of a character who could become either an abuser or a liberator.
What I appreciate most is that Astarion's past doesn't vanish when Cazador dies; he still carries the scars, but in a positive playthrough, there is hope. Astarion has the chance to do better, starts making his own choices, and sometimes gets it wrong.
Crucially, the abuse is never voyeuristic. It is always shown from the survivor's perspective, focusing on its effects on their lives. It's always clear when a player choice disrespects his growth and autonomy. Cazador and Astarion are never framed to titillate or as a mind of grousome special to the viewer, unlike in shows like *13 Reasons Why* or Ramsey Bolton in *Game of Thrones*. The game handles the topic with a lot of care. Infact the only time we see Cazador in person is when we have the chance to stop him. We never see Astarion subjected to something we can alter in some way.
Also, we do hear of Astarions bravery in trying to defy his master and save people. Unfortunately as in the game and real life, people don't always have a choice. Still, in a good ending Astarion can choose to try and help others who have been hurt and use what he has learned to make real change.
The reasons why Cazador is the way he is are another rant entirely. But while I hate him as a person, I adore him as an antagonist. How can a character be written to be pathetic and terrifying at once?
**TL;DR:** *Baldur's Gate 3* presents a complex, nuanced abuse narrative, executed beautifully. Many people overlook or disregard Astarion as an excellent depiction of survival in my opinion.

"Just one more?" Part 3
Pairing:Husband!Father CSC x F! Mother!Reader
A/N: I'M BACKKK!!! After the polled votes came in I immediately started to write lmao! This one will also be a bit longer since it's the last one...or is it? jkkk unless...Enjoy!
Genre: Fluff (Hint of crack)
Word count: 16.6k (Not proofread sry)
Synopsis: After Seungcheol finds out you're pregnant, again, the whole experience has been, tender, lovely, and well....shocking
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
Tumblr media
3 Months Later
Everything with Seungcheol has been so perfect. Well, this is your fourth kid but that's what made the experience even better.
He already knew how to help you with your cravings and everything.
Telling the rest of his members was also fun. Of course, Soonyoung, Seokmin, and Joshua ran up to hug you first.
And telling your children was also exciting with Seojun, your oldest son hugging you while Jieun, your second child blabbers on how she's going to dress up the baby. Your youngest, Dohyun just smiles handing you a toy to play with him.
Today, You and Seungcheol are so excited because you can finally find out the sex of your child.
"Babe, we're going to be late!" He's rushing you, clearly he's more excited than you are.
"I'm coming hold on!" You grab your sweater and wave goodbye to your kids and thank Seungkwan once again for watching them.
Seungcheol holds your hand as you walk down the stairs. "I'm only three months, Cheol..." He still treats you as if you were going into labor this instant.
"I know....but we still need to be careful" You look at him while he continues to talk nonsense.
Entering the car, he closes your door; going to the driver's side.
"What do you think the gender is?" You ask him, curiously. "Hm, probably another boy. But whatever the gender is, I'll love them either way." He looks at you fondly.
"You're so cheesy! But I think it'll be a girl because we just had a boy and it seems like a pattern." Seungcheol thinks about it, nodding. "You're probably right, but there's only one way to right out." He starts the car.
Tumblr media
As you enter the hospital, you are greeted with warm smiles. "Hi, I had an appointment for an ultrasound today." The nice lady behind the desk looks at you. "Oh yes, Choi Y/n was it? Please fill out these papers and bring them back to me."
She hands you some medical papers and you take them, walking to a seat where Seungcheol's already at.
After filling out the papers you hand them to the lady to take your seat again but before you even sit back down, your nurse calls you in.
"Choi Y/n?" She calls out. "Yes?" You both lock eyes, smiling. "Follow me right this way."
You hold Seungcheol's hand, excited and nervous to find out the sex.
You are seated in the reclined seat while Seungcheol stands beside you. "So you're finally three months! You're here to find out the sex, right?" You nod.
The nurse puts the cold gel on your belly causing you to twitch. You look at the screen above which shows the ultrasound.
"Seems like your baby's doing well." She continues to look at the screen. Her eyes widen, causing you to get scared.
"Is something wrong?" You and Seungcheol both look at her. "I'm afraid I'm not able to say anything. Only the doctor could, and she shall be here shortly." She exits.
You feel anxious, many negative thoughts running through your mind. 'Is the baby sick?' 'Is the baby alright?'. Taking you out of your thoughts, you feel Seugcheol grip your hand.
"Everything's going to be okay, alright?" Just the right words you wanted to hear.
A few seconds later, the doctor enters. "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Choi. Is everything alright? I just received some information from the nurse who was here, and I want to check it out for myself."
"If you don't mind me asking, what's wrong?" Seungcheol asked, looking quite nervous himself.
The doctor now looks at the screen. "There seems to be two babies in here."
"What!?" You and Seungcheol both say in unison.
"How's that possible? When I came here two weeks ago they said they only saw one?" You're utterly confused.
"You are quite early in your pregnancy so mistakes like this can occur, especially with the babies hiding and such. But yes, look here," She points to the screen. "There's two babies in here, congratulations. You're having twins!"
You're both left shocked, mouths gaped. "I'm not mad...however I'm just in shock." You let out, not knowing whether to be excited or in tears.
"What are their genders?" Seungcheol pitches in. "I'm sorry I almost forgot to even tell you. This one's a girl and the other's a boy." The doctor points at the screen, identifying each baby.
"A boy and a girl?!?" You still can't believe this.
"Yes but if you'll excuse me, I have another patient that needs to be checked. If there are any more questions, you can ask anytime, take care and remember not to stress too much." The doctor exits and you sigh, now facing Seungcheol.
"You did say you wanted another baby" He smiles. "Yeah, but I didn't expect to have babies!" You both look at each other, breaking the silence with laughter.
"I'm a bit scared though...we have to get two of everything and more stress, more waking up at night, more everything! And no wonder I'm so huge at only three months!!" Seungcheol wants to let out maybe even the tiniest bit of laughter but knowing how hormonal you are, he could never do such a thing.
"It's going to be alright baby, you need to remember; that I'm also here. I would never let you do this alone." He holds your hands.
"Hm...You're right, I'm sorry but still, these are two babies!" You let out. "I can't even imagine the boy's faces when I tell them," Seungcheol said.
Arriving home you see Seungkwan and the kids playing together. "You sure you don't want to have your own kids?" You rest your hand on your hip, smiling at him.
"No, most definitely not. I'm good as a fun uncle, not a father." He lets out a chuckle causing you to also laugh.
"Well, I have some news...we're having twins!!" His face has shock written all over it.
"Twins? Twins!!" Seungkwan rushes over to you, hugging you tightly. "Kwan...the twins, remember?"
He made an 'o' shape with his mouth and then let go, apologizing.
"When are you going to tell the rest of the boys?" Seungkwan asks. "Maybe tomorrow? I can't wait to see their faces!"
Seungcheol comes back from the kid's room after putting them to bed while you are talking with Seungkwan. "Well as much as I love to stay and talk with you, I have to get home. Practice is pretty early for us." He looks over at Seungcheol.
"Right, get home safe Seungkwan." Seungcheol waves as you walk Seungkwan out.
After saying your goodbyes' he left; leaving you and Seungcheol alone. "I still can't believe everything that's happened today..." You hug Seungcheol who already has his arms open for you.
"I know, I'm even more excited now that I know it's twins," he says as he kisses your forehead, then your nose, and finally your lips causing you to giggle.
"Should we get ready for bed? You also have a long day tomorrow you know." You said earning a pout from him. "But I wanted to spend my day with you and the kids tomorrow..."
Smiling at his cuteness, you play with his hair, "How about we visit you during practice? We do have to tell the boys about the twins."
"I do like the sound of that." Seungcheol kisses you once again before you head off to bed.
Tumblr media
Next Day
You wake up to an empty bed. However, you do see a post-it note on the side dresser.
'Good morning my beautiful wife, I made breakfast for you and the kids ;)'. Smiling at the note, you get off of bed and freshen up for the day until your kids wake up.
As soon as you got out of the bathroom Dohyun, your three-year-old was walking up to you. Slowly but surely.
"Mama, where dada go? I went to room but no one there" He has his hands in a shrugging position while shaking his head. 'Aw this cutie' You thought.
Taking him into your arms and pampering him with kisses you, finally answer. "I'm sorry Dohyun, dada went to work. Do you want to go surprise him later?"
He doesn't let even a second go by before yelling out excitedly, even waking up the rest of the kids. "Dohyun...you woke me up..." Jieun walks out rubbing her eyes while Seojun's just a couple steps behind her.
"I'm sorry kids, but Dad made you guys breakfast! So after eating, we can get dressed to see him at work."
They both look at each other, then you. "Does that mean we can see our uncles too!!" They say in unison happily.
"Yes, you can but, not if you don't eat breakfast." Seojun and Jieun race to the table to eat the food Seungcheol made in no time.
Tumblr media
After driving to get some food, you finally make it to Seungcheol's workplace.
You enter the elevator with the kids. "Mommy, I'm so excited to see Uncle Gyu!" Jieun jumps excitedly.
"Hm, and why is that?" You ask. "Because he's so tall and I can pretend like I'm flying!" She puts one arm up as if she were.
"Well, it's a good thing we're here now." You all exit the elevator and they're already used to the place; running to the practice room before you can even get there.
As you approach, all you can hear are indistinct screams of joy.
Entering the practice room you see all the boys surrounding your kids. Seungcheol notices you immediately and grabs the food out of your hands.
"Babe...why didn't you tell me you were downstairs? I could've helped you with the food." He pouts.
"It's okay, Cheol. It wasn't that heavy." Seungcheol still takes the bags.
"Y/n!!" Mingyu runs to hug you but slows down; eyeing you. "Wow..." You laugh at his face.
"I know, right?" You affirm, moving toward him to offer a reassuring hug because he was too hesitant to do so himself.
"Uncle Gyu! Carry me, carry me!!" Jieun wastes no time asking for what she wanted this whole time.
"Ms.Jieun, please keep all arms and legs in the vehicle at all times." Mingyu bends down so Jieun can go on his back. "Prepare for take off!!" As he runs around the practice room with Jieun, you take the opportunity to head towards everyone else.
"Hey guys!" They all look at you, waving, smiling, and coming up to hug you.
"Thanks Y/n for the food!" Soonyoung thanks you while taking another spoonful. "You're welcome!"
Dohyun walks to Wonwoo- calmly sitting on his lap, you've always noticed Wonwoo was his favorite uncle. Probably because they're both calm people.
And Seojun simply talks with his favorite uncle, Seokmin. He knows how crazy Seokmin is; however, he just finds him enduring.
You sit with everyone, patiently waiting to drop the news. "When are you going to tell them?" Seungkwan whispers next to you. You hit him for whispering too loud, "I'll tell them now..."
You eye Seungcheol, signaling to him that you are ready to tell them. "So guys...I actually have some news." They look at you confused on whether it's good or not.
"Is something wrong?" Jeonghan asks. "Well, no. It's just shocking."
"Tell us, tell us!" Chan grows impatient.
"So, I went to my ultrasound yesterday, and turns out...I'm having twins!!" You finally let out.
Many expressions were shown but you can tell they were all happy; just shown in...different ways.
Mingyu, Soonyoung, and Seokmin literally jump like animals.
Minghao, Jihoon, Wonwoo, and Vernon congratulate you with the biggest smiles.
Junhui and Chan both sit down in shock.
And lastly, Jeonghan and Joshua run up to hug you, again.
"I'm so happy for you!!" Joshua tells you. "Oh my gosh! We can make them just like me and Seokmin!" Everyone pauses; looking at a happy Soonyoung.
"Or maybe not." He shuts up completely as we all laugh.
The rest of the day was spent with the kids playing with their uncles while you talked it up with the ones who weren't occupied.
Tumblr media
6 Months Later
Everything has been going well with you carrying twins and all.
Your best friend, Seungkwan threw you a baby shower with the help of your parents.
Your kids felt the twins kick, and Seungcheol almost cried.
Seungcheol even decorated a whole room for the twins. And now you're 9 months pregnant and shopping at the mall.
"That dress in that store looks cute! Let's go Cheollie." You hold your back as you walk into the store.
Grabbing the dress in your size, you head to the changing room, Seungcheol steps behind you.
You managed to successfully put on the cozy dress but taking it off was a hassle. "Cheol? I need help."
He comes into the changing room worried. "What happened?" He asks.
"Nothing too serious I just need help taking off my dress." He lets out a sigh of relief and helps you.
As he lifts up the dress a bit you pause.
"Cheol..stop."
He looks at you puzzled, but lets go.
"Either I just peed my pants or I think my water just broke..." Eyes widening he panics. "Your water broke?!?"
You simply nod, panicking yourself. Out of all places, your water broke before; it's never been at a mall.
You knew you were going to give birth at any point just not right now!
"We-we have to go!" You groan at the contractions. You both try to walk out of the store but get stopped by security.
"Ma'am you can't leave without purchasing the dress." He puts an arm out.
"Add it to my tab, I'll call this place later. It's an emergency." Seungcheol holds you by the waist attempting to calm you before you yell at this man. But the guy once again has his arm out.
"That's what they all say. I'm afraid I can't let you leave without paying."
That's it
"My water just broke and it just so happens to be I was trying on this dress! So if you don't want two fucking babies coming out of me in this store I suggest you listen to my husband and let us fucking go!!" The security's eyes widen, looking you up and down and gulping.
"Well, I'm sorry for not reading the room. Please, go on and give birth to your twins.." He finally moves his hand and you and Seungcheol rush out of the place.
Entering the car, your screams only get louder and louder. "We're almost there, Baby. Almost there.." Seungcheol holds your thigh while driving as fast yet safely as possible.
You make it to the hospital and Seungcheol does the talking for you. "My wife is going into labor." He attempts to stay as calm as possible.
"Come right this way." A nurse brings you to a room while you're very much in pain.
Multiple nurses enter now as your contractions are getting close. "Ms. Choi, breathe, just breathe."
Did she really just tell me that?
"What the hell do you think I'm doing?!?" You counter back. Seungcheol smiles at the lady apologizing for you.
The pain was unbearable, those twins were really doing a number on you.
A doctor finally walks in, "Hello, your contractions are pretty close I see, I'm going to need you to push."
Push!?! Can't she see I can barely even breathe?!?
Seungcheol holds your hand as you are preparing to push.
"And 1, 2, 3, push!" Said the doctor. Only screams were heard; everything felt hazy you didn't know if you could even do it.
"You got this, Babe. Just keep pushing." He never once left your side as you continued to push.
"Just one more Ms.Choi-There we go. A beautiful boy!" The sound of the newborn baby crying calmed you in a way that brought you back to your senses.
The nurses took that baby to clean him while you still felt in pain. "One more Ms.Choi, you got this come on."
"I-I I can't. I can't do it" You felt exhausted, this was serious pain.
"Y/n, look at me- Look at me. You need to push; I know you're tired but there's still our daughter in there waiting to be brought into this world. So push!! I'm right here for you." Seungcheol's words help you realize, you have to keep going.
For the sake of your daughter.
You push as hard as you can, taking breaks, tears leaving your eyes, and even sweat dripping from your forehead.
But that didn't stop you from completing your mission.
And with the last push, your daughter was finally out. "Congratulations Ms. Choi, you did well."
You drop your head on the pillow, and tears of happiness and pain keep escaping your eyes. "You did it Y/n...it's all okay now." Seungcheol kisses your forehead and those are the last words you hear before falling into deep sleep.
Tumblr media
After some time, you blink your eyes open only for them to be set on Seungcheol holding two babies in his hand. Tears of joy leaving his own eyes.
"Oh look, mommy's up! let's go say hi." He walks up to you so you can see your children.
"They look perfect, right?" He said as you can't even keep your eyes off them.
"I know, they must've gotten that from me." You chuckle at your newly found confidence. "I think they did." He adds on giggling himself.
"What should we name them?"Seungcheol asks you. "Hm..I don't know yet..."
"How about I name one and you name the other?" He proposes. "But they should rhyme, no?" You ask. "If you want them too."
"Well then, what if...she's Jisu and...he's Jiho?" You pitch in, pointing at each kid, waiting for his response.
He nods, "I think it's perfect. Jisu sounds cute like her and Jiho sounds manly like this handsome boy here." He kisses they're cheeks.
"Jisu and Jiho it is."

Endeavor Deserves No Sympathy!
I don't understand how anyone can think Endeavor was ever a good dad. It also always comes off as incredibly victim blamie, especially towards Touya, and often Shoto too.
He literally only got married and had kids to use them. He never gave a shit about their well being, never even thought about it until he had the one thing he cared about and was still miserable. I've already gone over the math proving he gave up on achieving his dream himself at 21 at the absolute latest. (https://www.tumblr.com/arceus-insanity/763259515356512256/i-liked-endeavors-character-when-he-was?source=share)
And basic math will once again be used to prove just how little this waste of flesh actually tries.
This time the focus is on how quickly he abandoned Touya and immediately went to emotional abuse via neglect & literally replacing him, and once again risking that more children be born with self-destructive quirks.
For context we only see Endeavor doing anything with his kids that's not him literally walking through and ignoring them in two circumstances. Once when Fuyumi's a newborn and Touya is attempting to crawl (not walk) over to her. And training. Those are the only times he tries to spend with any of them, even after he starts his 'atonement'
Now comparing Touya in the scene of them training and himself as a toddler and all the child imagery this series loves to use instead of actually saving imperfect victims, Touya is at least 3 (probably closer to 4) when he's taken to the doctor and they are informed of his condition
Natsuo is 4 and a half years younger than him.
We know for a fact Natsuo (& Shoto) was conceived after they got the news, not willingly either. Pregnancy takes 40 weeks average, so Touya would still be 3 when Natsuo was conceived. So once again it took this 'man' less than a year to give up and have another child he hoped to use as a tool, and was explicitly making to hurt his existing son. And as I have said plenty of times before, risking that the new kids could be born with the same disorder, I hate how convenient it is that Shoto gets near zero negative quirk side effects.
Want to know what we never see, Endeavor doing something else with Touya and Touya demanding training, it's always him walking past/ away from Touya. Considering all of the shit they've pulled to soften Endeavor's abuse both in the manga and even more so in the anime, they wouldn't skip something like this. It's not hard to tell that Touya's 'obsession with training' is really about spending time with his dad, you know like a human child that literally needs love, proven by numerous studies and research in the real world.
He throws all parenting responsibilities onto Rei, adds more children to that load, and when Touya suffers for it (like everyone else) he does nothing, doesn't even hire a nanny
Another are you kidding me take I've seen is that somehow Touya's quirk issues are worse than Midoriya's and Yuga's. Touya managed to train his quirk to produce blue fire at 13 with zero equipment and less than no help, and only lost control of it, because of the mental abuse Endeavor had inflicted on him leading him to a mental breakdown. And/ or the theory I've only seen once of AFO using his ability to force quirk activation (seen with a passed out chapter 90 during his first confrontation with All Might)
Midoriya was breaking his bones all the way into the Shie Hassaikai arc and was only able to fight because Eri and was breaking support equipment in the following arc as well. Yuga had a support belt all the way back in the entrance exam and was still struggling with that.
Speaking of Yuga let's compare parental effort here, because as much as it backfired Yuga's parents tried a whole lot more. For starters they nearly bankrupted themselves to get him a quirk, so he could feel equal. All For One is a mythic man prior to his arrest, and those who knew of him were shown to be serious long-term villain groups, so they had gone to quite a bit of effort to find that he existed to begin with. They also got him support gear (the navel belt thing) as a kid to help him with said quirk, he literally had it in the entrance exam. Endeavor never looked into that, Endeavor is not only rich too but he's a top hero he would have direct access to support equipment companies that would jump at the opportunity and it never even occurred to him.
Endeavor's name is an irony as endeavour means to try hard to do or achieve something. He never tries hard he gives up incredibly quickly the second there's any road block, but instead of moving on he makes everyone suffer for it. He's a toxic pageant mom who'd rather force their child into a toxic world and a role they don't want than work on himself
And what finally makes him change? Getting exactly what he wanted and still being miserable, and he still expects through his actions his family to cater to him.
Not his son getting a major disability due to his actions, no, he decided to double down, mentally abusing and neglecting the son he supposedly loves, raping his wife who didn't want more kids or participate in this abuse, and again risking that Natsuo & later Shoto might have that same issue. Not when his wife breaks down and permanently scars his precious masterpiece, who proceeds to rightfully blame him, and he just thinks of it as a tantrum despite it lasting a fucking decade. Not when his eldest literally dies as the result of his selfishness. Not literally during any part of this entire process!
Dabi is 23 when Endeavor finally starts to 'try' to be better, that means that for at least 24 years he has only been caring about his fucking precious number one spot in a popularity contest that he couldn't even bother to try to be likeable for, this wasn't one bad decision, this was him constantly choosing to be so insanely selfish that he found ways that shouldn't even be possible for over two decades. And it was all him.
