in the time loop the only way out is to leave her there but you don't ever leave her there, never in the roughly one thousand years you have been in the same day. it is probably like "50 first dates" but you haven't stooped so low as to watch "50 first dates" yet. (but who is to say what another thousand years of the same media will bring to you, maybe you will develop a new taste).
you spent about 200 of these years sulking in a bathtub or on the couch or staring at the seaside. 300 of them have been spent slowly mapping the geographical distance you can actually get before the time loop restarts. you have a list of favorite places: one library in Western Massachusetts called "The Bookmill", which has weird hours and has never raised an eyebrow to you arriving out-of-breath and panting, asking to see a specific book on a specific shelf. There is one beach without a name in North Carolina; it is an accident of geography and ownership title disputes - and it is pristine, untouched, warm and cozy. you've taken her on a lot of picnics there. Acadia National Park. One specific birdhouse in the mountains.
you were stuck in the time loop with the money you entered it with: not enough to rent a private jet. you've robbed a bank a few times, you don't like the way it ends. maybe next century you'll get the hang of it. you don't like the look on her face when you say hang on i have to stop at the bank.
you just have to leave her, and you can go back to being a person again. you took 5 years just catching a flight and sitting in the Grand Canyon. if there's one thing you regret more than anything, it's that you hadn't gotten your passport renewed before this fucking time loop. maybe you should spend some time learning forgery - but also, like, you look like an english teacher. nobody is going to be cool about you asking to see their paper printing machines.
the world is very big. that is one of the things groundhog day gets wrong. there are no consequences, so you have literally all the time (or none of the time?) in the world. in groundhog day, he does a lot of very cool things, but in reality - your muscle memory never gets better. you can't necessarily learn how to play piano or sculpt ice, because your hands never remember the practice. but hey - maybe you'll try violin next. drums. synth.
you can open any door and walk into any conversation. money isn't really an object. you can try every meal off every menu, forever. take her on helicopter tours and into every museum and on every event that is happening right-now at-this-moment. parades and funerals and calligraphy classes.
but you are somewhat trapped by the limitations of your body. if you were reading a book, you still need to get up and go back to the library and find that book again when the day resets. (thank god for the internet). it still takes like 2 hours to board a plane, and then takeoff and landing and traffic. you've gotten off to run around on the freeway. one of the little thankful things: since your brain isn't actually developing (it's a muscle too), the days thankfully don't feel shorter to you. that would be agony.
all you have to do to leave the timeloop is let that man get away with it. that's all. in every version of yourself - forever - you have stopped him.
the problem is that this experience has convinced you of the existence of the human soul. after all, how else are you forming memories? your very cells reset. information has to be transferred somehow. and if timeloops are real, you can convince yourself other magic exists. so you have two choices here: this hell, or the next. there might be a millennia where you have been worn down to the point you can accept fate's decision. this is just not one of them. ironically - she is the one thing you have left.
and besides! if you can't always find something new in your partner, aren't you failing them? there is something new about her, every day with the same morning. every brutal day with the same orange sunset.
after all, you wanted to live with her in heaven, in eternity, and, well - isn't this second-best.

I saw your Mio doodle and now I wonder about a Light Music Club X-Men Edition.. Scott can be on drums he'd be so good at keeping time... whatever Ororo is on (because she'd slay at every instrument) she has to ALSO be on vocals because I believe that's just canon..
maybe Logan can be their roadie
Ah, K-On. My one weakness. I went a little overboard when picturing this, so whoops.
I imagine this being in a universe where there’s still mutants, but Xavier isn’t making them use their powers to fight. Instead, the institute is for learning how to control their powers/providing refuge for mutants who have nowhere else to go, and they go to a mutant/normal human mixed private school for normal education.
Here’s some of my ideas for the club members so far:
Tumblr media
Ororo is the bass player and lead vocalist. She’s been inspired to be in a band ever since she lived on the streets as a little kid, where she saw a bass player performing live. Freshmen year of high school, she hears someone absolutely going ham on the drums, and finds Scott playing on his own. It took a while, but she finally convinced Scott to join her. She’s the heart and soul of the group, and main character along with Scott. I don’t see her living at the institute, though Xavier keeps the offer open. Instead, she may live with a 19/20 year old Gambit, who’s living off of the Guild’s money and trying to lay low.
Scott is the drum player. After Xavier picked him off of the streets, he got a bit lost in the mansion and discovered a drum set in the music room (I imagine it used to belong to Erik/Magnus). Xavier sees that the boy has natural rhythm, and decides to find him a teacher. Scott forms a middle school band with the O5, but they had a falling out, causing everyone to go their separate ways. However, Scott is still very passionate about the drums, which is why he eventually joins Ororo. He may be more pessimistic, but his passion for the drums is more than enough to keep him going.
Kurt is the pianist. He’s a transfer student from Germany and has always wanted to be a part of a band like Ororo. It was him that suggested the idea of forming an actual club, and he’s the big idealist/optimist of the group. I can see him not knowing too much on how to play piano, minus the basics he learned from his mother (she taught him how to play despite his three fingers), so when he moves into the institute, Xavier teaches him how to play better. Even though there are some people at school who treat him just as bad as the mobs from his home, he’s still willing to get out there and play with the group.
Hank is the guitarist. He used to be a part of the same group as Scott, but after everyone split a part, he stopped playing entirely. I can see him being intrigued by the talk of a “light music club,” but after seeing Scott was there, he wants nothing to do with it. Eventually, he joins a practice session after Ororo gets through to him, and he realizes just how much he misses playing. Scott and him have the friends-turned-hostile-turned-back-into-friends relationship. Unlike the other three O5 members, his love for music trumps any hostile feelings after the falling out, and he’s willing to give it another go.
Ah, but you can’t have a club without a faculty member as your sponsor;
Tumblr media
Mr. Logan was the only available candidate for this. After a lot of begging (and promises that they’d wash his motorcycle every weekend), they eventually get him on board. He pretends to hate it, but it slowly becomes obvious that he has a soft spot for the group. He sees the passion they all have, and it reminds him of when he was younger (hmm… what if Logan was the bass player Ororo saw when she was younger…).
Of course, if we follow K-On, we must have a 5th member that joins later on. I have no idea who that could be. I think there’s a lot of fun ideas depending on who.

I have been freaking out on Twitter about the magic 8 ball songs and the medley and tourdust in general but like you don't understand. you don't UNDERSTAND. it's not just the fact we've gotten stuff they haven't ever played. it's not just that they're bringing back deep cuts. it's not just all of that.
it's the fact we're all older. the guys are twenty years older, most people in here have been fob fans for at least a decade. it's the fact that they're not just playing them for the nostalgia factor, they're doing it because this tour is a celebration of two decades worth of this weird little emo band that changed the emo scene forever and became legends to at least two generations of emo kids so far.
it's the fact they've gained the courage to play folie a deux. the album patrick said they would likely never play live again because of the initial reception, the album that got booed whenever they played songs off it live in 2008-2009. it's the fact that headfirst slide went from a very shaky first attempt at a secret show to a setlist regular pat can now sing with a smile every night.
it's the fact that pete wentz, who thought he'd die young, who thought he'd join the 27 club, is now a father in his early 40s playing his bass and having fun with his best friends while they play songs about the time he almost ended it all. it's the fact we've seen him not only heal, but highlight the scars and the beauty in the pain. like kintsugi.
it's the fact andy and joe got exactly what they wanted. joe got a guitar album he loved, he got to focus on himself and take some time off knowing full well the band and the fans had his back, being included in everything from music videos to promotional things, and now he can enjoy his time going on the road again in a better state of mind. it's the fact andy lives for drumming, and he can do what he does best with his favorite song on the album, one that he basically begged to play the entire press run for the album.
it's the fact that the piano medley songs let patrick lay his heart out for everyone to see. it's the fact he's playing golden, what a catch, beautiful songs we haven't heard in so long. it's the fact he's gotten the courage to sing fucking soul punk in front of a crowd that ten years earlier told him they liked him better in fall out boy, to make a new spiritual successor in stardust and sing it too. it's the fact he's lost the fear to do those things, because he's realized there's nothing to fear anymore, people will sing back those songs to him with affection.
it's the fact they're also doing newer stuff. the fact they haven't forgotten about srar, ab/ap, mania. they still affirm those parts of their history, because they are still unashamedly fall out boy.
it's the fact these four guys have all gone through hell and back together, and we're all stronger on the other side. it's the fact we've all grown up together, and now we're all adults in this fucked up world trying to figure ourselves out but we know it will be okay because we made it through all that and we're still standing. it's the fact that they built it, and we came, and we stayed.
it's the fact we're still here.

Hey! As someone who's only kinda recently started getting into Blind Channel, can you "introduce" the band members to me/tell me any fun facts? 😊
It's okay if not, I just feel like it's so fun hearing it from other fans than trying to dig it out myself LOL
Welcome friend 🖤
You're about to get an essay 😂 anyone please add in, this isn't an all inclusive list of everything about them.
Let's start with Joel - vocals (and guitar depending on if you're going back to the first couple albums)
Joel is the oldest member of the band at 30, has ADHD, has dealt with insomnia, talked about being bullied in highschool, handles the band's social media, has a wine and has made a lot of references to dating his hand 😂
He is one half of the (t)error twins with Joonas, such named by the other members of the band for their chaos and having the same birthday, one year apart. He has said more than once that Joonas is his closest friend and they're found hanging out a lot outside of the band, they have been called an old married couple, always squabbling (but with a lot of obvious brotherly love)
Joonas - guitar
Second half of the (t)error twins, sings backing vocals, has been photographed with his dick out on more than once occasion, has a naked painting of himself, he's (sometimes questionably) a fashionista, and is known to have a rather sensitive digestive system.
Joel met Joonas in highschool after their own bands ended and became friends, eventually decided to form their own band, Joonas had already been in a band with Olli and their now tour manager Santeri, and previously in one with Tommi. Joonas, Olli, and Tommi are childhood friends prior to highschool.
Niko - vocals
Niko went to the same highschool as the other founding members, but hung out with a different crowd. Joonas, Olli, and (maybe) Tommi were at a house party, Linkin Park’s In The End came on, Niko rapped Mike's parts and Joonas invited him to join him for the band’s first practice the next day. Joel picked him up, even though they hadn't met.
He plays and teaches piano, writes most of the band's lyrics (though there is collaboration), has a kitty named Rommi, has a long term girlfriend, Joonas lived with them for a while. He has a large band symbol on his side with roses for each of the band members (minus Aleksi, but he does have a matching tattoo with him)
Tommi - drums
Papa bear himself! Lot of bear references with him, he has the nickname nalle (teddy bear in Finnish) from the band. He used to drive the band around when they were still in vans rather than tour buses and his job in the band is to “have final say”.
There's a single brain cell in this band, and most of the time it seems like Tommi has it, but every once in a while he's as dumb (affectionate) as the rest of them. He and Olli are the only two still in the band's hometown and as far as we know he is the only member of the band without tattoos. And he's a nurse!
Olli - bass
Called the most beautiful member of the band by his bandmates and known to eye-fuck any camera that happens to be focused on him.
Or if you happen to be watching them live 😳 it's intense.
He used to have gauges. There are several photos and videos of him and Joonas just holding hands 🖤 (lots of love in this band)
He can come off as a bit of an airhead, the biggest example of this is his poor bass Simba (rip) that he left on top of a van at a gas station, didn't realize until they had left and was far far down the road. He did eventually get it back but it was destroyed.
He designed their newest stage outfits and even sewed the patches on himself. He used to work at a hospital transporting patients.
Aleksi - DJ/percussion
Newest member of the band and only non-original member.
Had/has a solo DJ career and career as a producer as Alex Mattson, and accidentally ignored Joel in 2016 when he reached out to talk about a collab.
He ended up meeting Joel and Joonas at a Bring Me the Horizon concert in November of 2016 (where they also met Joonas (Johnny) Parkkonen) and they cleared up the accident and became friends.
He collaborated with them and help with song writing/production before he officially joined the band in 2020
Baby of the band and a menace. He got his first tattoo with a couple members there to hold his hand, I think it was Joel and Niko, Joonas went with him to get his band tattoo.
He grew up around the music scene (his dad is a booking agent) and was a drummer in a band as a kid. He has a little dachshund named Rilla
Joel, Joonas, Niko, and Aleksi all have the band's symbol tattooed on them. Joel's is in his arm, Joonas has it in his hand, Niko on his side, and Aleksi near his wrist.

hey can you talk about I WON’T LET YOU GO HOME from ISAT and how you went about making it? It is so good. me and friends really like it. thank you in advance if so! the game is so good and your soundtrack has played a key role in making it literally life changing.
Lindar here!
Thank you SO MUCH for the kind words.
Firstly, I have to give credit to InsertDisc5 who gave incredible direction and has been to date one of the best people I've worked with.
So let's start from the beginning: We establish a specific instrumental tone with the pseudo-chiptune synth we've heard a lot, especially in the title theme. This was created using NI Massive, which was one of the most heavily used synths in the OST. We're doing kind of a basic heavy metal riff here, but making it chiptune-y.
Next we fade in for the first and only time in the soundtrack a SNES strings pad to fill out the chord structure and provide additional melodic content.
Then of course for our more intense moments we roll out Toontrack Superior Drummer 2 + Metal Foundry, featuring the amazing drumming styles of the one and only Sandra Baker. I think she went absolutely ham to contrast with how simple the first section is.
So next we hit our stride and establish what the piece is really saying. The drums simplify a bit to leave room for the melody, and then we hit a "drop" of sorts into the next section.
Now we're rocking to a reprise of the title theme in a more major tone, but it's feeling less hopeful and more like a longing attachment to memories of the past.
In the second half of the title theme we run a reprise of the death/loss theme as a counter-melody while also introducing a new little motif stab underneath. We hear it in the strings as sort of the response to a call that hasn't actually been made, and then it's repeated in the bass, and finally the whole band states it all at once as we move into the next section.
Again we're stating the title theme, but this time in a different mode with a gliding, reverby, monophonic lead that feels like it's floating. Each phrase keeps rising in intensity, desperately reaching for that memory.
Finally after all of that wildly changing energy and anxiety ramping up we hit a breakdown featuring probably some of the best orchestral composition I've managed thus far (not to toot my own horn). I was really shooting for "pained" as the sound of this section. Half-time feel drums where we're so incredibly out of energy, but no! The drums pick up into double-time as we desperately reach out for comfort!
I gotta say Sandra went absolutely wild with the blastbeat snare while still doing a half-time feel. Like it feels like there's so much tension even while we're winding down to the end of the piece, floating in a place where we keep moving towards hope but always resolving on the minor. We have a lot of movement here through different keys and modes that continually give us a feeling of moving forward while always returning to the feeling of loss.
Finally, for the album version, we cap the ending with a slow restatement of the beginning of the piece for piano and violin (I don't remember the specific piano I used here but it wasn't the Spitfire Labs muted piano for once, and the violin is from Spitfire's Sacconi Quartet).
As far as an in-depth musical analysis goes, I'd have to open the session again to get really specific with what I did on a theory level because it's been like a year or more since I wrote it, and my computer's primary hard drive died (luckily I have all my sessions on a different drive), so I'm spending the weekend reinstalling everything.
I think the crux of this piece in particular is that, while there is new melodic content that explains the emotional context of the scene, we still rely on the recontextualization of leitmotifs for added effect. I'm not sure if it makes me lazy or a genius, but it's something I leaned into heavily.
It's like…
Step 1: Someone is crying. Their friend tries to cheer them up. Play something kinda sad and a little bittersweet.
Step 2: Play that same melody in a different situation but slightly different to be totally appropriate while also calling back to the original event.
Step 3: Make it into a major-key power metal song because you're winning with the power of your friends caring about your feelings.
Humans are pattern-recognition machines. It works with motifs, it works with specific instrumentation, it works with pretty much anything. Make an aesthetic choice about your instrumentation, utilize it, and punch people in the feels.
As soon as the studio is back up and running I'll see if I can't add on to this with an actual theory analysis, and meanwhile I'm gearing up to start doing classes on mixing and sound design, so look out for that as well!
Thank you again for your ask!

some peter head-cannons because this fandom neglects the poor boy
he/they (prefers they but dosnt want to inconvenience others by saying that so only really the other marauders use they)
short but not the shortest (is like an inch or a couple cm for you not americans taller than sirius and loves to talk about it)
is aroace but doesn’t realize it until like the middle of sixth year, and because he doesn’t realize it for a while dates and sleeps with so so many people. like you could point to a random student in the great hall at dinner that was about their age and they would probably be peter’s ex of some kind
loves cheese. loved cheese before they became animagi. when they were working on that james and sirius would joke that peter would be a mouse or a rat because of how much they likes cheese
is like besties with cat form mcgonnagal. he doesn’t know it’s her but she knows it’s him and they sometimes will hangout and run around the hallways. they bond over their love of cheese.
because he’s besties with mcgonnacat, he never had any problems with pet cats and strays bc minerva told them pete’s a friend. (also helps that they steal cheese for them from the kitchen)
is actually pretty good at school but his B+s and A-s aren’t that noticeable next to james and remus’s consistent As and A+s (or whatever the equivalent would be at hogwarts)
a god at chess
is a really good singer but only ever sings in front of the other marauders (once he drunkenly did karaoke with mary and she asked for his autograph after(jokingly ofc but still))
got a muggle driving license bc he thought that would be helpful. bc of this he was the designated alcohol getter on their cornwall ‘77 trip (atyds is canon shhh)
also always the designated snack getter from the kitchen when they’re doing anything
always has ibuprofen or some kind of pain relief potion in his pocket/bag bc remus is always in some form of pain from his furry little problem, james is always sore from quidditch and sirius gets migraines. mary also gets really bad cramps and never complains but peter can tell when she’s in pain. he himself has chronic joint pain but never takes the medicine because what if his friends need it?
also always has extra cigarettes and a lighter in his bag even though he dosnt smoke
he also always has an extra tampon and pad
when hes drunk he can’t transform to or from his rat form. so if hes drunk and a rat at the time, hes kinda stuck at a rat, at least until he sobers up a bit
can play guitar and the drums and a little bit of piano
loves quidditch and watching quidditch and the idea of playing quidditch but in reality is a bit afraid of heights (though in james’s backyard where the goal posts aren’t to high, he’s an amazing keeper)
will probably reblog with others as i think of them!

Baldur's Gate 3 Companion Head Canon Music Edition
Ok soooo ! Recently my bestfriend and I wrote and composed a song about BG3 (which we might release one day) and it got me thinking about the Tadfools (as if I don’t already think of them 15 times a day) and imagined what their band would look like and which instruments they would play and thus voilà my rendition:
Karlach | Drums
Look at her and tell me she does not play the drums. She would sometimes have to be asked to stop because she would not notice everyone has stopped playing but her. She just has the proper energy, rhythm, not to mention arms, to rock that drum set and start a solo Whiplash style.
Lae'zel | Harmonica
“What is this shiny rectangle? “whistle metallically” Oh. This sounds… beautiful. Like the screeching of a blade on a sharpening stone, but… Better!” And that’s how Lae’zel picked up on the harmonica, true story, I was the harmonica!
Wyll | Main Vocal and Violin
Yes, Wyll would absolutely sing and dance and become an icon on the Sword Coast. He also plays the violin. I don’t know, maybe it’s the horns, but I could also see Duke Ravengard enrolling him at conservatoire at age 6 to play the violin. He writes most of the lyrics
Shadowheart | Bass and Back-up Vocals
Shadowheart is a bass player. Look at her smoky eyes and her pout: she obviously plays the bass! She matches her nail polish to the colour of her bass (black, purple, white). She is always down to jam and she also provides Wyll with beautiful back up vocals when he needs it. Her timber is quite ethereal as well.
Astarion | Electric Guitar
Astarion has massive rockstar energy. He did try to play with his teeth on more than one occasion but that breaks the strings. He has several guitars, guitar straps, dedicated stage outfits and hundreds of guitar picks (which he does not even use but hoards like a dragon).
Gale | Synthesizer
Gale is a piano player but why constrain himself to a regular piano when he can make it sound like space music. Or any other instrument really. Fender Rhodes with a distortion and reverb to the max? Yes, please. He tried the keytar and while he does like the funkiness of it, he prefers the horizontality of regular synthesizers. I also believe he’d compose a lot of the songs.
Now for the one who are not part of the band but do play an instrument:
Minthara | Band Manager
Sorry I do not see Minthara as a musician. She’d be an amazing band manager or music producer though. If I must attribute her an instrument I would say the harp as she canonically has a lute but I imagine the discipline it takes to learn the harp is quite in character and would be a funny contrast; the angelic sound it makes, opposed to… Well, Minthara.
Halsin | Bansuri
And he made it himself from bamboo or wood. He plays it during his session of guided meditation or when he is alone in the forest. Usually attracts dozens of critters and little animals and it makes him look like a Disney princess (Although he has never seen a Disney film himself.)
Jaheira | Steel Drum
She learned during her hippie phase in college back when she would travel to Puerto Rico and/or Jamaica twice a year. She still has her old steel drum and will take it out if you nag her long enough or if she is in a celebratory mood. She might play it at your LuAu themed birthday party if requested.
Minsc | Triangle
It is the only instrument that he can play. It looks relatively simplistic but it is actually quite tricky to play as it requires great timing and a little bit of technique. Minsc is a natural at both. He likes being part of an orchestra and finds the agitated man with a stick the funniest of all people.
Boo | Church Organ
I have no argument to justify this but the hilarious image of a miniature giant space hamster playing the phantom of the opera on a huge cathedral organ.
Gortash | Acoustic Guitar (but not really)
Gortash will claim he plays guitar. He will claim it even faster if he is flirting (approximately 2 minutes into the conversation and/or maybe before even asking your name). He, however, does not. What he can do is play one song (wonderwall or alleluia take your pick) that he learned by heart back in highschool specifically to brag at parties and bag dates. In adulthood it works way less.

Headcanons for who does what in a band au (still with canon events just they’re all in Fig’s band)
Fabian would 100% be a singer, he takes lead every now and then and is very proud of those songs but usually just supports Fig (they’re voices are surprisingly sound very good together)
Kristen has the coordination of a baby deer, so she’s mainly in charge of percussion with Gorgug (I also enjoy the idea of Kristen being a band kid, so possibly something like that)
Adaine learned how to play piano when she was younger so she can absolutely fuck it up on a keyboard (Fig keeps trying to write her solos but their label keeps saying no with the exception of like 2 songs ☹️)
Riz has really nimble fingers so I imagine he’d probably be good on guitar, he can also sing pretty good but he’s does not like showing off much so he only sings lead on like 1 or 2 songs (although Fabian keeps trying to convince him to do a duet with him)
Fig still plays bass and is lead singer on a majority of their songs, she also writes most of their songs
Gorgug still plays drums but he also helps Fig with songwriting every now and then (she also keeps trying to give him solos which the label also usually says no to ☹️)
Fabian and Fig are 100% the faces of the band in this au. Charisma through the roof for the pair of them an they're both very pretty. Fabian starts incorporating some awesome choreography into his songs with backup dancers while the rest of the band hangs back and out of the way. WILDLY popular.
Kristen can play woodwind, mostly flute and saxaphone but they've never written anything where she can show those off so she sticks to helping Gorgug. Has a nice singing voice so is usually backup vocals in Figs songs. Her attention span isn't great most of the time but she is the one that does the double and tripple checks on the stage setups and pyrotechnics so that her party will be safe.
Adaine is great on the piano but also has experience with the violin, something she shares with Riz, but mostly sticks to the keyboard because she's not super confident with it.
Riz can play the guitar but he's an absoloute beast on the violin. Fig didn't find out until junior year when he started playing one from the instrument collection Ayda got her. She gets him a really nice electric one to use in their shows. He still doesnt like being in the spotlight though. Most of their fans have a game going called 'where's Riz' because he will inevitibly be mostly hidden behind one of his bandmates unless its one of the songs he has to sing lead in.

Headcanon: Tony doesn’t ever stop thinking. Like ever.
Calling him a genius may be an understatement. He’s always thinking. Always analyzing. His eyes are always scanning and he’s always solving math equations in his head. He sees a building and he’s calculating the area of the entire building, mentally calculating the measurements of the entirety of it. The length, height, the breadth you name it. And he often can’t seem to turn it off. He’ll be curious and immediately he’ll be calculating. And this doesn’t even apply to buildings and infrastructures only. He’ll see a car dashing past and he’ll think how fast it went by the sound of the exhaust and the engine. He’s calculating where their next destination could possibly be.
How would he know the engine? Well he also has incredible memory and memorised a lot of different types of engines. Play the sound of an inline engine and he knows exactly what it is, doesn’t even need to see it. Show him multiple different shapes of engines and he can tell you exactly what are the names of it. (He remembers the practical things but he’s working on remembering details about people)
Everything he sees, he’s calculating. He sees numbers and equations that are just there. And he sees it around people. The first time he saw Steve, he was calculating his height and his weight. When he found out Peter was Spider-Man, he admired Peter’s skills. Watching Peter catch a school bus, he’s calculating the bus weight and the people inside added up and is surprised to see Peter easily catch it, especially from a ten feet height which would make the bus feel even heavier. He knows Peter is a kid too due to calculating his build and hearing his voice. He tracks where Peter is commonly seen and tracks it back to Queens and then his house. And boom, he finds out Peter’s identity.
When he was on that Shield Helicarrier, he was so observant of his surroundings. His eyes constantly darting around and looking. Hell he even saw a guy playing Galaga and called him out. He saw Steve for the first time and he can see everything about Steve’s military career. Remember when he first saw Natasha? He knew something was up with her. That she was some spy and too good to be true. That she has some dark side to her. He doesn’t trust anyone without a dark side anyway.
He’s always making acronyms out of proper words or long names. Just to make it easier and something to think about. It’s easier for everyone too. He loves acronyms and it’s evident.
Jarvis- Just A Rather Very Intelligent System.
Edith- Even Dead, I’m the Hero
Friday- Female Replacement Intelligent Digital Assistant Youth
I know I said he has a great memory but when it comes to names, he isn’t really that good because more thoughts are flowing through his mind so much he couldn’t care to remember people’s names unless he really has to or he likes them. I can imagine Pepper having to repeat her name multiple times to him the first year she worked for him. That’s probably also a reason he always has nicknames for people. Capsicle, honey bear, point break, spiderling, and many more.
He even used to play the piano because his mother did so. Imagine him just hearing a metronome in everything he hears. People drumming their fingers? He makes out a rhythm and tries matching it to some classical music that his mother used to love listening to or what he often hears her playing on the piano.
Another headcanon that I’ll detail on next time is that he probably knows quite a lot of languages. A common headcannon is that he knows Latin because in fics, he calls Peter Bambino. What if he knows more than Latin. Romani, Arab, French, Spanish, Chinese even and maybe many more. One of his mistakes in the past is that he doesn’t understand people due to the language barrier and making his A.I translate everything doesn’t always help because sometimes they’re not always there. Like when he was kidnap by the Ten Rings. So he learns languages and easily picks them up by audio because he learns better like that. He’s always thinking of things to make himself better.
Maybe part of the reason he’s always thinking is because he’s paranoid after 2012. Everytime he makes suit upgrades to his or Peter’s suit, he’s thinking of every possibility that could happen and whatever they could ever need. Heater, parachute in case something doesn’t work out and 572 variations of webs for Peter. In fact, all the upgrades apply to the entire team too. He made Steve’s shield able to return to him swiftly. He makes hand-to-hand combat items that pack a lot of punch for Nat because he knows she’s good at it. Like the batons she uses that has electricity. He makes many types of arrows with different capabilities for every need. Not only offense but defense. Even practical ones.
He always has something figured out or if he doesn’t, he’s immediately is thinking about it. He’s constantly jumping idea to idea, skill to skill. He just never stops. Inventing multiple suits, inventing such advanced AIs and even inventing time travel.
He doesn’t rest and has trouble sleeping because of this too. And what Pepper said at the end of Endgame when he took his last breath “You can rest now” hurts so much more when you’re thinking of this headcanon.

Musical instruments! Aguefort Academy, out of all the things it is, is a high school, and I feel like at some point Fig forces them all to try out band or orchestra. Any thoughts about it?
Gorgug always wanted to be a band kid and just never had the courage. He voices this offhandedly one day and Fig immediately makes them all try out band. Everyone groans in a "gee thanks Gorgug" fashion about it. Gorgug plays the marching drum and he's he's genuinely fantastic. He just has an ear for music. It's what really solidifies him in becoming the Fig and the Sig Fig's drummer.
It's pretty hard for Riz to play most instruments given that he's so small. But in elementary school everyone had to learn to play the recorder, and that was small enough for Riz. Fig makes him try out for the flute. It's not exactly the same, but he's pretty good at reading the sheet music and figures it out quickly. He's not half bad. Sklonda goes to all his performances and cheers embarrassingly loud.
Growing up Kristen had to learn the pipe organ as a "Chosen of Helio" thing. Unfortunately she only knows Helioic church songs, and also, the pipe organ isn't exactly a common instrument, and also, she really fucking hates it. It's overly-complicated and difficult to play. She hates instruments where she has to move her fingers too fast, which is...most instruments. She's really good with the tambourine, though, and she likes to aggressively shake it and bonk people on the head jokingly.
Fabian plays the guitar. He's pretty good and he feels like a rockstar (which he definitely is not. it's actually hilarious for him because outside of elmville, everyone's heard of fig and the sig figs, the saint of doubt, the oracle of all people, and even Riz Gukgak who has gotten offers to work for the CoC and practically every university available to him. but fabian? he might be maximum legend at aguefort, but you go into bastion city and nobody knows him. rip fabian).
Adaine's parents, surprisingly, never forced a pretentious instrument on her. They did force one on Aelwyn--violin. It's not until Junior Year that Adaine learns that Aelwyn is terrible at it. She doesn't have a musical bone in her entire body. Adaine is flabbergasted. What about all those recitals? What about all her performances? Aelwyn smirks. "What, have you never heard of the spell Minor Illusion?" Adaine would be enraged if she wasn't so bit impressed. (Wait, nope. She's still enraged.) Adaine, just through osmosis, knows how to play the violin as well. Freshman year, Fig teaches her how to play the bass too, because "Adaine you cant only know how to play a fancy instrument you've gotta know how to rock if we're gonna be best friends" "We're best friends?" "Shut up and play." She picks up instruments pretty fast and has at least a basic understanding of guitar, violin, piano, and flute.
As a band, however, the bad kids are about as chaotic as they are as a party. It doesn't go great. Gorgug and Fig are the only ones really dedicated to the music itself. But they have fun at least trying out playing.

Had some thoughts about the bad kids class swap, so here's my headcanons about them all if they were bards (very rambly, I'm bad at writing)
Gorgug- when he was small he would play on the pots and pans like drums and his parents wanted to encourage his creativity. Has tried probably every instrument his parents could find or make, it's metalwork. Gets really into drums and some string instruments, can't play alot of brass cuz of tusks but trumpet is easier, French horn is even harder because of the delicate trigger mechanisms, gets really good at clarinet for some reason, so good that it's his secondary instrument in case he breaks all of his drumsticks (true percussionists have like ten spares, sticks break too easy)(and also fiddle, he can play fiddle really well)
Adaine- learned viola because her parents made her, ended up really liking it, switched to "violin" (plays fiddle, can't call it that in front of parents) think Lindsey Stirling, parents got mad when she became a Bard instead of wizard even though they pushed her to learn and get better, hits her dad w fiddle and kills him, her fiddle in s/j year is a gift from fabian and its practically indestructible(gold, made by telamine, theres a side quest where she kicks the devils ass at fiddle)
Fabian- Really likes sea shanties, starts out dancing with his pa, does alot of 2 and 4 steps, lotta linedancing before getting into elven dance, could be a real good master of ceremonies when he starts hip-hop dancing, is in the college of swords but its very piratey, learned fiddle for fun but actually really enjoys it especially the slower more classical melodies favorite spell is suggestion
Kristen- acoustic guitar. Can also play piano but doesn't want to lug around a keyboard. Has a lovely voice but prefers to let her guitar do most of the work, wanted to be a paladin(to helio) like her parents for a while but becomes a paladin of Cass in the nightmare forest, it's wild. When she meets tracker at the black pit they bond over only really knowing worship songs and tracker gives her a book w/ rock sheet music (classically trained) she steals an electric guitar from the black pit and stashes it at fabians house for a while till she moves in with track and jawbone
Riz- (most excited about this one) goblin music is chaos, idk alot about indigenous music, but I like it, riz does alot of throat singing and body drumming, alot of odd noises, his dad used to sing him to sleep, kinda sounds like Tibetan throat singing with alot of clicking and hissing and all that (need to do research) the other bks like it alot, when he gets more comfortable he starts doing more metal (kinda like korn) struggles alot with connecting to his heritage (personal hc; 3rd gen goblin imigrant, sklondas ma came to bastion city for a new life when the rangers moved in on the mountains of chaos, poks dad moved from the other side of spyre (idk) Pok lived in elmville for his whole life, moved to bastion to work for the government culture outreach program, met sklonda, moved back to elmville, had riz, got eaten by a dragon)

In the studio, 1960s.
Q: “Peter, I've always considered you the most natural musician of the bunch. Is that accurate?” Peter Tork: “No. The best natural musician in the bunch was Davy. He never hit a bad note. My pitch is not as certain, Micky's isn't as secure. Mike's is, but he doesn't have the emotional range Davy had. Davy could sing Broadway, ballads and rock. He could do anything. What I am, among these guys, is the best trained, the only one who could read and write music. Michael wrote the horn and cello part to ‘Shades of Gray.’ He wrote it in his head, he sang it to me, and I notated it, and I notated it for the French horn. I'm the only one of the four of us who was in possession of that body of information. I took piano for six years and French horn for a couple, plus music theory in college. And Micky is one of the better pop singers of all time. Not too long ago, I told him, 'You must be one of the top 20 pop singers of all time.' He said, '20?' I said, 'OK, 15.' He said, '15?' I said, 'OK, 10, but that's my best offer.' And Mike Nesmith is extraordinarily rigorous in pitch and time. And he's got imagination, and he's a very hard worker. I'm not. The only thing I have going for me is that I'm trained.” Micky Dolenz: “Peter also plays more instruments. I only play guitar and, of course, drums when I'm doing a Monkees show. Peter would be the most proficient or knowledgeable about music and playing. He plays guitar, piano, French horn. He plays just about any instrument he picks up. But I'd say Mike is probably the most prolific, in terms of song writing. He is very proficient on guitar, especially that big 12-string he plays all the time.” - Guitar World, July 26, 2013

My BKDK Band AU (part 1)
Aka my self-indulgent Drummer Bakugou x Bassist Izuku
First things first, Izuku probably learned how to sing first and became part of a choir before he learned to pick up an instrument. He always wanted to play in a band as a kid, and he'd join katsuki's rehearsals just to watch him play.
He only takes interest sometime in his graduating year of high school, when his music teacher (toshinori cough cough) points out how interested he looks while watching katsuki and his band rehearse for a class project. Izuku pretty much throws around excuses as to why he never really learned how to try, from choosing choir first or finding the guitar too complicated, and 'ahh the drums were always kacchan's thing not me' or just not having the talent to play an instrument. Intrigued, Toshinori points out the bass guitar, which isn't as flashy as a guitar or drums or even piano, but certainly just as important as the other instruments, and how learning it would be easier ("what with less strings and less complicated chords, you know?"). For a moment Izuku thinks, a bit hopeful, but then immediately shuts down because he 'wouldn't really have the time to practice it now, and assuming bass guitars are about the same price as an electric guitar, I don't really have that kind of money right now haha'. And then Izuku's final reason would be that he would never dare to outshine or much less step on the same stage as Katsuki Bakugou, the famed drummer.
Toshinori then goes on a tangent of how drums and bass most often than not go hand in hand. While pianos and guitars and singing take care of the melody and tones, drums and bass are important for both the tempo and rythm of a song.
The next time they meet, Toshinori is giving Izuku his old bass guitar, and thats the start of Izuku's journey to learning the bass!!! Personally I like to think Izuku is on the higher notes when it comes to singing, and so bass would also be a refreshing start for him!
As for Katsuki, he's always adored the sound of Izuku's singing voice despite never admitting it. Yet I like to think he has a core memory of them when they were kids, and Izuku sang to him to cheer him up. He never really visited the other's choir practices or rehearsals, but whenever there was a school event or Izuku was asked to sing, Bakugou would always listen intently. In fact, he might've even developed a certain hate for his own voice, with how loud and gruff his voice is, ever since he was a kid. This was the main reason he chose to pick up an instrument, too. He wanted to shine just as much as Izuku in his eyes anyway.
Oh and the reason why Bakugou got a head start on learning the drums was because he had a gameboy as a kid and liked to play rhythm tengoku ALL the time. He got so competitive over it, too.
When Toshinori announces that Izuku will be a part of the band for the project, Katsuki freaks the fuck out. They have this fight for a while, a few weeks before the presentation of their class project, ykno classic bkdk misunderstanding yowza <33 what with Bakugou feeling intimidated by how much Izuku is growing, while also having the slight fear of never hearing Izuku sing again (he feels stupid for it, but never admits it out loud). He does his best to make him give up or discourage him and tell him "you're better off using your ugly nerd voice", which of course Izuku takes the wrong way (can you blame him tbh), and yet Izuku finds himself challenged but hopeful. He doesn't want to throw away the chance (and the guitar) that his teacher gave him. The chance to finally be on the same stage as his childhood friend, to shine just as brightly and beautifully.
They still do rehearse together despite this, and through all the struggle, there are times when their practices turn out better than expected, and in these times, Izuku isn't sworn off at as much.
And then a big fight goes down between the two of them, and they're both angry and arguing because they're running out of time, and Izuku still can't get one part correctly. Bakugou has always been a perfectionist at heart, and Izuku has always respected him for it. But for the first time, Izuku feels just how far apart they are in skill, and he hates it. For now, all he can do is appologize and say "I'll do better" in any semblance to reassure the blonde, but they both know there's just too much at stake amd too much missing. Izuku spends the rest of the night practising until his fingers get blisters.
In the end, Izuku couldn't back out because the other bassist wasn't any better at the bass than Izuku was because he'd thought the greenette wouldn't be replaced at all. In the end, he couldn't perfect the segment he'd wanted to in time, not even on the night before the presentation, no matter how many band aids he used to wrap his blistered up fingers.
On the day of the presentation, Bakugou was driven to a boiling point, repeatedly starting the song over and over until Izuku got it right. Not having a single care about the audience of parents and teachers bellow. Only when they'd finally asked his mother to coerce him to play the song one more time, in full, and in a way Bakugou didn't want to, had Izuku realised just how much their relationship had deteriorated. Playing a song as a band had never felt so restricting, feeling as if your bandmate was your enemy. Feeling as if the people you were playing with didn't want you there at all. For Izuku's first experience on the stage, he was crushed to bits. Turned into a no one. A deku.
When he goes back to the music room to retrieve his(toshinori's-) bass, he finds the strings purposefully cut and left on display, and it doesn't take him a second to know who's behind it (most likely one of bakugou's 'friends' to send him a message). "We can always replace them," Toshinori reassures, "it would've been a real problem if they messed with the back." But the damage had been done, and the message was received.
(To Be Continued...)
"Toshinori-san, do you think I have what it takes to be a bass player?" The question catches him off guard. He takes a moment and then moves to sit beside the younger boy. "Hm. Well, you do have a bass in hand, don't you?" He makes eye contact with the other. "Doesn't that make you a bass player already?" And the boy bursts into tears.
They all pass and graduate despite the kerfuffle of their last project, and Izuku decides to go into a deep dive into learning the bass over his summer break.
Phew!! Wow, this took a lot longer to edit and write ngl, but it's my first written AU!!! YIPPEEEE!! This was actually meant to be a crack AU, due to an ongoing meme in the bands communities where bass players and drummers often get a long well and end up being 'shipped'. So i thought it'd be funny if bkdk was like that, and surprisingly, my brain just decided to brainworm the HELL out of it. So here we are! I'm definitely already working my way into making part 2 so u don't have to worry about that! Hope yall enjoyed reading!!!
