i enjoyed the podium challenge! i wouldn’t say it was “fun to play” because the entire thing was on rails, but it gave us some reasonable drama. plus MC actually got some wins for once, rather than automatically losing for the sake of a diamond option

anyways, lisbeth also has some dialogue about how i also chose her for the hot tub date and the hideaway, i thought that was a cool detail! (and it’s nice to not get treated like you’re automatically on a hoe route as a wlw player, that was one of my biggest complaints with the 2 previous seasons)

next up, we got some season 5 energy with everyone dogpiling MC. common sense and critical thinking completely out the window. mind you, everybody that was in the dressing room saw franki steal MC’s perfume. mind you, my MC doesn’t even wear lipstick. mind you, our own LI defends us and somehow we still get dumped (UPDATE: i said tristan didn’t vote for MC but he actually did when i replayed. maybe it’s a glitch, maybe i’m illiterate, maybe it's maybelline) before we go, lisbeth tells MC that she'll wait for her. then we got some season 6 energy with “dumped MC actually being sent to casa” …or coming back to the main villa as a casa girl 🤷🏽

but more importantly, we got dumped for two whole weeks ??? that’s pretty much years in love island terms, im sure our LIs managed to stay loyal but i have no idea how they’d do that without getting dumped (i could see lisbeth and jesse staying together in a friend couple, but idk about hayden/ethan/milo) can't wait for all the "pay gems to learn about what happened" scenes 🙄

speaking of gem scenes, the way i thought the option to open the door was gonna be for one of our LIs 😭 i already said this in my last post, but i have unlimited gems and i still feel robbed. in the game i ended up forgiving franki, just because there wasn’t an option to throw hands (and i do agree with the option that ideally, tristan would’ve been dumped instead lol) but i definitely do not forgive her, choosing to walk after letting MC take the fall is some of the most pathetic bullshit i've ever seen (so what was the point of throwing MC under the bus, you bozo !!!)

overall... what on earth !? i'm gagged, mainly because i cannot believe my prediction of MC getting dumped was correct. granted, we’re gonna be returning, but this is so unserious 😭 i'm sure the game won’t let us be more than mildly upset with the islanders who got us dumped, but trust and believe my MC will be burning that villa down when she returns.

It was a strange feeling, lungs filling with blood.  His lungs filling with his blood.  Painful, yeah, but also weird.   Unnatural.  Like his blood knew it wasn’t supposed to be there, but it didn’t have a choice.  And the sensation of drowning in the liquid of his own body, the wet he produced that was supposed to keep him alive literally killing him? Fucking unreal.

Chrissy was exhausted. Three hours before, when she’d initially walked into Jason’s home, she’d already been tired.  But then fifty of their classmates popped out of poor hiding spaces, shouting surprise! so loudly she thought they’d ruptured her eardrum, and her internal dial went from ‘worn out’ to ‘enverated’ almost immediately.  Like the room was full of vampires that thrived on energy, and every ounce she had was leeched as soon as she stepped foot past the threshold. Whatever she wore on her face, Jason mistook it for excitement.

the conclusion I'm drawing is that I'm a big fan of single-line tag lines to sort of set the tone for a story 😂 which tbh I already knew. I also tend to steer my Chrissy POV intros more toward emotion while my Eddie intros seem a bit more physical? but idk if that's true for every fic or just these six.

The moment when Mouse approached Bad when he was brain resetting in a little patch of flowers he placed down, how close they shifted to each other, it felt so ALIEN and and and cool and I’m so NORMALLL. And when Tina splashed herself with perfume and when she had that role play moment when (idk if it was canon or a character) she was SO OBSESSED with going to heaven, I think she was born a demon, and SOMEHOW acquired religious trauma along the line probably as a child. Born a demon left at an orphanage door idk and they made all the kids go to church or something and Tina was OBSESSED because it gave order and meaning to her life but she was a demon and-

okay i TOTALLY agree with you have so many thoughts, i was literally just thinking the same thing last night!!! The absolute difference in upbringing as far as the demons really shows in how they act and i have sooooo so many thoughts about it!!!

So first off, i dont really know how old mouse is in terms of her lore but as far as BBH is concerned hes fucking weird and is constantly alluding to his existence extended FAR before the universe even existed, hell even time and space, we dont actually know what the fuck his deal in full is actually!!! What we do know is he was summoned to Earth roughly eleven to fourteen thousand years ago!

Mouse gives us not as much age-wise from what ive heard but she has expressed that she considers two thousand year olds to be "baby" not quite baby but like VERY young! (I have a personal HC that bad's summoning let loose a new age of demons, maybe not all at once but very quickly so mouse would probably be over ten thousand years old)

Tina gives us absolutely NOTHING she doesnt like talking about her demon ancestry aside from hiding it (when bagi said mouse taught her how to smell demons tina quickly panicked and doused herself in perfume, etc etc. nothing super explicit from what ive seen but im relatively new to her lore). But i personally have a hc that shes roughly three thousand years old, coming into existence around the Middle Ages in 1000 CE. That might seem extremely young but honestly thats what im going for for her!!! super extremely young!!! and born around the time when Catholicism was popular!

In my mind, they all have very much different reasons for acting the way they do and im soooooo ill about it

As a BBH main i have the most information on him so ill be talking about the lore i know from him first before getting into the other two lovely ladies!! So what we've heard from BBH is that he prefers to "hide" his demonic features and "blend in" with humans as much as possible if he can, obviously he doesnt do very good at this but hes old as shit and very powerful so like who's gonna tell him??? From what we've heard of his lore, Bad is the cause of a LOT of minor and major disasters in history; Mt Vesuvius (who he named after a dead lover) exploding, the plague taking out most of europe (which he was a plague doctor for), and alongside other major things theres some minor events as well! Small wars he's been present in such as the HG war he was in with cellbit very recently, various other wars he eluded to that he recalled "blended together" because there were so many, that time he went to medical school for 15 minutes just to do brain surgery on that president on a boat.... he also knows a lot of major historical figures and hes been EVERYWHERE, we actually have a rough timeline of where he's been and when just based on who he knows. He knew not only the fucking guy who created the study of viruses, HIS ASS KNOWS ISAAC NEWTON..... and i think once he alluded to knowing goddamn adam and eve, maybe even being the snake in the goddamn garden. Considering its cannon to his lore that he was the angel locked beneath the euphrates river i wouldnt be surprised at that point.

All this to say: Bad has been present for and had an active hand in a LOT of major and minor disastrous historical events, and hes repeatedly talked about how people would chase him with torches and pitchforks - even referring to that activity as "therapy" and said thats the reason he doesnt believe in therapy, because it hurts and doesnt do anything for him except get him running.

Bad does not personally feel shame about his demonic features, he's used to hiding them (or at least intending to.... hes doing a bad job at it) for his own personal safety, because his role as >>>>A) a demon and B) the fucking ferryman of death<<<< brings him a LOT of negative attention. Negative attention that he's had to deal with ALONE for a majority of his existence, up until about fourteen thousand years ago.** (**A major event i feel caused a new era of Demons, we will talk about it more through the post)

Moving on to Mouse; i mention bad's role as a demon having an affect on negative things around him because i honestly think that applies to all or most demons. I don't know much about mouse's lore, but i do know shes proud of her heritage to some degree, is unashamed to tell people shes a demon, and will even actively teach people things about her species (Bringing back Bagi again - We know in cannon Demons smell like Sulfur, its been stated pomme and dapper and bad and mouse and tina all smell like it, and we can assume empanada also does or is starting to).

I, to some degree, think the beginning of her existence was much more accepting and inviting, while bad dealt with his negative experiences alone, and tina had her own upbringing we'll get into, Mouse came into existence during a "Dark" age, when bad was summoned to earth there was a wave of the newest generation of demons being spawned into this world(not in a "father of all demons" way but more in a "large expressions of magic often lead to a ripple affect of more magic" way). A lot of shit probably happened, im not insane like badboyhalo im not gonna research what happened but theres probably some kinda major event that happened. Demons born around that era probably had some kind of support system or way of existing that was underground enough for them to not be wiped out, but they had enough freedoms that mouse and others probably felt comfortable enough to express demonic traits.

I like to think this was the era of her life that had the most influence over her existence, that she was created with pride and will ALWAYS have that pride in her species, it may be dampened but it will never go away fully!*

*I like to think shes experienced maybe some shame over her species when it comes to minor historical events that shes contributed to by just being present, but it very rarely lasts longer than the event itself.

Tina, as far as im concerned, is the youngest of the demon trio aside from their kids. I kinda write her akin to Amethyst from SU, her existence was very recent and she was alone with very little or no initial support system, she was brought up thinking she was "wrong" in some way, her teeth and nails were too sharp, and she has horns and sometimes her skin has a purpleish hue to it that make other people think theres something wrong with her. She has a VERY obviously christian/catholic upbringing which was brought to light recently in one of her conversations with foolish. She's always felt shame about her species and she probably would have continued if it wasnt for mouse and bad, but ESPECIALLY if it wasnt for Empanada.

I have my own thoughts on the demon babies that we'll get into later, but after gaining her daughter who is very much going to be a demon (two demon parents, obvious demon child lol) i cant help but wonder how tina's planning on pushing aside her feelings of shame to make Empanada feel welcomed and loved regardless of her species?

Tina's very young, of course shes seen some major events in history but shes never been raised in community, she probably didnt even know thats just something that comes with the horns until very recently! I can imagine bad and mouse joking and giggling about that town that they stayed the night in that caught fire the next day that they got chased out of a couple hundred years ago, and i can imagine tina being confused as to why they found that amusing, is that normal? Tina's always had minor disasters follow her, her home town very likely burned down or got sick following or preceding a major milestone in her life, and thats probably continued to happen over the thousands of years shes been alive! Being a demon brought up in a very anti-demon environment, whos to say she even knew there were other demons out there really? She was a curse from god, she brought nothing but poor luck and sickness to her household (which i agree with you she was probably residing in an orphanage), she brought it everywhere she went. I cant help but ask myself "did she feel relief that it wasnt just her, or even more shame finding out this is a common occurrence for demons?"

Now thats most of what i have regarding the parents but i have a few notes on the demon kids. I think all the eggs have some sort of demonic features, obviously bads a huge influence on all of them and they care about him as their tia so i draw most of the babies with horns and tails of some kind, but i am particularly focusing on Dapper, Pomme and Empanada, the three demon babies whos actual official parents are the demons.

I dont have anything too specific for them, but i do believe they will grow up to have an attitude towards their species akin to how Mouse acts.

Unlike other demons or even their parents growing up, they have a support system and parents to explain to them things that will happen to them as they get older! They'll have someone to come back to, who will explain "Yes, that village got the plague because you walked through it and the sulfur you spread supernaturally brought illness and bad luck. No, its not your fault in particular. No, you shouldn't stop going into towns and villages, its the 21st century and if they cant stop the plague by now then they were gonna die anyway"

When they inevitably get shunned by humans for their species, they have someone to come back to to let them know that that wasnt right, but its a part of what happens to people like us. Maybe some day we wont have to experience that anymore, but right now the most important thing is to not get caught, and come home to your Mama so we can give you bandaids for your knees and treat your wounds.

I'm so very invested in how the demon babies will be brought up by their parents, i hope we get more demon lore in the future </3

i actually feel like the lack of originality and the company relying on the popularity of fixed pairings to carry the stories was way more present in both of the two parts from GMMTV 2024 combined, but with the 2025 lineup what im personally seeing is more variety and the willingness to experiment with new genres, which is something that i can't help but be very happy about

there are still students and school settings, but they're trying to put a fresh spin on it by sprinkling some fantasy elements and religious guilt on top, and the majority of the characters we've seen are actually adults with countless different jobs: there are teachers, and detectives, and shop owners, and debt collectors, and scammers, and photographers, and doctors, and fortune tellers, and flight attendants, and emergency rescuers, and im probably forgetting some because there were SO. MANY. and not only that, but we also got toxic yaoi in theatre, toxic yuri in the industry, a love triangle that maybe if we pray hard enough can turn into a polycule, a master and a servant fighting each other in the ring, an amnesiac prince, and last but not least a mafia adjacent soap opera loving perfume maker (which let me tell you. that sure is a string of words i never thought i would be putting together. and y'all see me use words recreationally on the daily)

we can't really be certain of what GMMTV means with 'riding the wave', but after seeing this line up, the way im interpreting it is that they've started to understand that people are interested in queer shows with diverse storylines, and so they're finally willing to invest in them

now, don't get me wrong, this doesn't mean that our job here is done and that im fully satisfied. on the contrary. like do i think they overused the amnesia trope and the fortune telling plot? a little bit, yeah. do i wish they had have given us more GLs considering the insane amount of engagement they are pulling? YES GOD DAMN IT. do i believe that GMMTV, as a big ass consolidated company, should be setting the trends by being bolder and experiment more instead of just following along? absolutely. but we have to start somewhere, and to me this is what it is: the beginning, not the ending point, and i personally will never stop being vocal and advocating for better quality and unique plots

all this being said, i did see people being disappointed by the amount of fixed pairings we now have and expressing doubts over this 'darker', more mature era of QLs, and i think everyone's feelings are perfectly valid, because at the end of the day we all have different tastes and different things we would like to see

so what im hoping for rn is that everyone will be able to find something to be excited about and look forward to with what we've got, and as for the future, i hope we can all keep moving forward and aim for more together

It was yet another failed study date in New York for Y/N. All they wanted was to 'complete a science review', when in reality, they just wanted an excuse to hangout with their ever-busy boyfriend, Peter Parker.

Sure, it was hard being Spider-Man,

-but it was even harder missing your boyfriend. Well, mentally, atleast. Just when Y/N was about to get up and leave, backpack in hand, an exhausted Peter came running through the door with his clothes sloppily thrown on and his glasses on the verge of falling off. "Heyy, y/n, Sorry- I'm late- it's just, there was a... a guy who just wouldn't let it up I mean-" he huffed, sitting in his chair awkwardly after causing the ruckus from people looking at him.

"oh- ah, my bad. I believe you though." You said, laughing a bit as you sat back down. You reached over to his shirt, leaning close to fix it, because his suit was still evident due to his rush. He thought he was gonna get a kiss, so he closed his eyes, just when you sat back in your chair. He awkwardly laughed it off and stared down at the cup in front of him. "No way, you got my favorite! I owe you whatever this cost-" he laughed, it's true- his favorite coffee was an Americano with 3 spoons of sugar and a lot of half n' half.

"No worries, I'm the one who invited you after all, bug boy." He blushed at that name, looking around and laughing. "So, what did you need help with?" He perked up, drinking the coffee carefully. "Well- the science review, but I can see how you obviously forgot to bring your textbooks." You grinned, pulling out your own paper. "Oh...uh...I forgot them on the way out because I was-" he stuttered "Right, the way out- the way out which you must've banged yourself up on pretty hard." You giggled, looking at all the scratches and bruises on him.

"Hey, will I at least get my favorite nurse to stop by and heal me up tonight?" He grinned mischievously "Oh, I didn't know you see other nurses?" You laughed jokingly, he blinked, no response.

"So- the review," you continued, pushing his glasses back up his nose as he dazed off on the sight of you. "Are you- wearing (perfume/cologne)?" He asked, "The one I got you? It smells so good" he smiled, pulling your wrist back to his face with frail hands, inhaling and kissing where your veins were prominent.

"Alright, now focus" he hit his cheek lightly and playfully.

After about 35 minutes of studying, Peter had his leg bouncing and his head in his arms , folded down on the table as he told you the answers and how to solve the questions. When it was time to go, you patted his thigh, stopping his bouncing knee and ran your hand through his hair, which he closed his eyes at. "Hmmm," he murmured, exhaling softly. "You're getting sleepy, huh?" You smiled, taking his glasses off "As much as I hate to tell you that you have to get up- I have to get home." You laughed softly "I know, I love you." He said softly, raising his head up and looking at you. "I love you too, bye Pete." You stood up, kissing his forehead, and soft lips. "oh- i- I forgot to give you this," he looked rushed, reaching for his pockets, and pulling out a torn - up red rose. It was still precious. "Oh, thank you!" You smiled, keeping it in hand. He gave you one last hug, taking in your smell from your neck. All the customers had basically left by now, and it was your turn as well.

With that, you left with a rose and another cute memory of your spider-boyfriend.

Die Verwandlung von Franz Kafka (Eng: The Metamorphosis) professionally recorded on Spotify.

It might be a tough one, being classics and from 1915, but the text should be available online to read along!

Once you've finished that, I suggest reading (the english) Haruki Murakami's "Samsa in love," a short story based on Die Verwandlung!! (available online!)

Other surrealist classics could be "Der Steppenwolf" (Hermann Hesse) and "Der goldene Topf" (E.T.A. Hoffman) - both of which were works analyzed in the Abitur (german highschool graduation exams) and thus might be especially tough, but on the flip side there's thousands of German resources about the books online!

"Der Goldene Topf" is on Spotify, Steppenwolf doesn't seem to be...

However! As you progress (idk your level but classics tend to be difficult even for natives), you might come to appreciate Reclam (a german publisher) with a focus on classics (known for their small yellow books)) and, great news, they publish professional recording of German classics on Spotify!

In terms of classics, here's my favorite: Stefan Zweig, a german author especially famous for his short stories. One of them, Schachnovelle, is on Spotify by Reclam here!

To be honest, Schachnovelle is a favorite because they made it a movie a couple years ago and it is SO. FREAKING. GOOD. (bad news: incredibly different from the original story but in a way you get two great stories under one name so I'm not complaining!) on the OTHER hand, I just found out that there's an audiobook of the book of the movie on Spotify, so you can also listen to that and then watch the movie (or vice versa)

TV or Movie reccs: if you can, get Netflix and a VPN! with the vpn you should be able to make Netflix think you're in Germany and there is barely a show/movie on German Netflix that isn't dubbed (or at the very least subbed) - really, we dub everything (and it's not bad either most of the time!!)

Besides that, our "öffentlich rechtliche" (the publicly owned) channels have got "Mediatheken" (basically Netflix for their shows) and you can watch most that is published on those channels in TV here (ARD, ZDF,...) on there (often with subtitles! (i should make a post about this, damn!)

Sure, i can try and give a quick crash course in kemeticism if you're curious!! (As a general disclaimer to any OTHER kemetics who might see this, im gonna attempt to keep this very layman-friendly, so if i skip nuances in favour of simplifying stuff thats why. I'll leave some resources at the end of this post!)

Uhhh okay so kemetic paganism is a neopagan religion based off of ancient egyptian religious practices. There are a lot of different ways folks practice kemeticism-- such as reconstructionism (or recon; aka strict adherence to the rituals of antiquity), revivalism (adapting ancient rituals and practices into the modern era), and eclecticism (for the sake of simplicity, we'll say this is essentially taking several different practices from many other religions and combining them all into one personal practice). I fall somewhere between revivalism and eclecticism, mostly by virtue of also working with Hermes and Loki, though my practice is primarily kemetic in nature.

In short, i worship the ancient egyptian gods-- my patron, or a god whom i am particularly close with and mainly dedicated to, is the cat goddess Bast (also known as Bastet, although thats actually a mistranslation of her name). Bast is known by many epithets, but one translation of her name is "Lady of the Ointments"; its written with the hieroglyphs for a bas-jar (aka a perfume/ointment jar) and a loaf of bread (the "t" sound). She's a solar goddess associated with protection, is an Iryt Ra (Eye of Ra; Goddesses who protect and nurture the sun god Ra), and like many (and i do mean many) other kemetic gods, also holds ties to fertility. In the past she was depicted as a lioness, then later became associated with the domestic housecat, where she picked up additional ties to motherhood; she also began picking up attributes from close association with Het-hert (Hathor), which resulted in further associations with music, dancing, and the arts. She's often depicted holding an aegis (a collar-like necklace with a deity's head on it) and a sistrum (a musical rattle).

She's a very fierce but loving goddess whom i have been worshipping for the last 11 years :] i also work with other kemetic deities-- of my "personal quintet," as i like to joke, i work with Djehuty (Thoth), Sekhmet, and occasionally Sutekh (Set/Seth) and Heru-wer (Horus the Elder). And, ofc, from outside the kemetic pantheon i work with Hermes and Loki, who happens to be my other patron!!

Im very glad that my formal petition to Bast for Jellie has brought those who have seen it some much-needed comfort, and its nice that its also made some people curious about kemeticism!! First off, as a Lady Gaga lover (Little monster here <3) UHH the cover is just lovely. I love anything this woman puts out. Also FUR!!!!! UGH TO DIE FOR. maybe it's feathers but 99.99% sure Miss Gaga was wearing some kinda fur in this!

Bella Hadid is looking STUNNING for Saint Laurent, maybe I'm biased because I am a true sucker for lace and leather together {wearing that combo rn lmao accidentally twinning} but overall in love. also petition for making black-on-black a thing again.

Ok when I say I was gagged for Giorgio Armani I WAS GAGGED. LIKE almost dropped my latte. Don't ask why ok usually I hate clear shoes but just the way that this is photographed has me STUNNED still--ew clear shoes. And I love any black and blue combo.

You always do such a good job avoiding physical descriptions when writing the Y/N's, but lately I've been wondering: what kinds of clothes do you personally imagine them wearing? You once mentioned your "headcanons" for the kinds of perfume they might wear, and I thought that was super fun. Also, you always describe clothes so beautifully! The parts in something where Kenzo, Kihara, and Scribbles are going over the Hero Gala outfits are some of my favorites.

On that note, I'm especially curious about Scribbles' wardrobe, since Deku's poor fashion choices are always a point of major contention lol.

I love getting to play with clothing, in writing, because beyond just liking clothes, personally, narratively they serve such an important function in world/character-building. Clothes are so telling of a person! Which is why I find it so necessary to avoid it as much as humanly possible with a Y/N, unless there’s a narrative/meta reasoning for it (getting a new coat, scarf; being kitted out for a formal event. Indulging in high-end lingerie to showcase you do think about what you’re wearing, at least intimately, and thus giving you a reason to be judgemental of someone else’s poor tastes in fucking cargo pants). But okay, I’ll play. 👀 Putting everything under a cut, so those of our friends who don’t want the fun/fantasy of the Y/N they imagine ruined don’t have to see my subjective taste in fashion, LOL.

Let’s start off with my baby, Weedsy-woo.

Weeds would wear a lot of natural fibres, like 100% linen pants or dresses, woollen tops for the cooler months. Weeds was raised by Granddad, so Weed’s style would be unconsciously conservative, (high necklines, for example) especially on days when Weeds is working in the shop (which is most days lmao). Granddad was a practical man, though! So even though there’d be a unintentional romanticism in Weed’s choices (a lot of flowy cuts in the dresses and skirts), they’re made knowing that Weeds has to stand or work in them, and that they need to be comfortable and be able to handle, idk, getting wet from dripping flower ends, be about to get dirty and easily washable. There’d be a lot of soft colours (beiges and pale rosy pinks, sage greens) with the occasional vibrant pop of colour (a fun print of fluro pink and yellow and orange, for example, on a top maybe; or the red coat Akane gifts Weeds for Christmas, the yellow scarf from Katsuki). Once Katsuki comes into the picture and has carved out his own permanent space, some of his jackets would start appearing slung over a shop chair, or wrapped around Weeds in the early morning hours of the freezing warehouses of the flower markets.

Okay though, let’s talk my troublemarker Scribbles.

Scribbles is sloppy. Wide-leg men’s pants, fished out from a 200-yen bin at an op-shop. Old, well-worn band t-shirts that have given so much in slack they slip over the shoulder. A sarong from a little Bali-import store that Scribbles finds in Mum’s stuff, when Mum moves to New Zealand. Oversized mens shirts, fished out from that same op-shop, layered over crop tops and silky singlets. Scribbles would like cuts that show cleavage, because why spend good money on lingerie if you’re not going to show it off somehow?

But mostly, I don’t think Scribbles would really overthink things. Because Scribbles spends like, idk, 17 hours or something bent over a tablet/lightboard, trying to draw, the pieces Scribs wears have to be comfortable (cue the wide pants, the oversized shirts). Scribbles crawls out of bed at 8 am (after coming home at 4am), crawls into the first pair of pants that smell clean and then idk, a random top pulled from a basket, before throwing on on old painter’s overcoat, because the aircon can get kind of chilly. But because Scribbles is an artist (an artist raised by a model mother who adored fashion), Scribs has an unwitting eye for it—every piece in Scribble’s wardrobe can be mixed and matched. I’ve always, always, from day one imagined Scribbles to be the kind of Cool Girl that can make anything work, from sheer attitude alone, but I think the deck was stacked from the beginning for Scribs, too. I think it makes it doubly unfair that Scribbles is so mean about Deku’s choices LOL, because Scribbles just takes it for granted that of course people can dress well, so wtf is he doing with all those cheesy t-shirts? That kindergarten colour-blocking he has going on with the hero merch? Disgusting, pull yourself together, Deku.

If you’re doing perfume recommendations, do you have a tomato leaf-forward scent you like? I’ve tried a few green/garden scents but they haven’t captured tomato leaf!!! Also do you have favorite vetivers? I tried simple vetiver-vanilla and vetiver-citrus scents I liked but didn’t love (both american indies.) Is Lalique Encre Noir the way to go here? I like woods, vanillas, critruses and stuff that smells like dirt, if those are common in vetiver scents.

So tomato leaf tbh is not something that tends to work for me, but Memo Italian Leather is beautiful imo, I'd love it if the tomato leaf didn't give me a headache. Being not a fan of the note idk if I can judge it well, but it feels very noticeable and naturalistic, and works with the bittersweet vanilla-leather composition.

But for a garden scent, have you tried Min New York Chef's Table? It's more basil and sage than tomato to my nose, but basically a naturalistic kitchen herbs scent, almost where I felt it's not enough of a perfume, like for a person to wear. though having sprayed it on just now, I actually enjoy it a lot. savory and zesty!

So my favorite vetiver is Frederic Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire unfortunately lol, not something I see myself ever affording a bottle of. It's very different from any vetiver-forward perfume I tried, which imo tend to be very same-y shaving foam type scents. People talk about it in terms of like a "sexy masculine scent" which is just insane, to me it's the kinda woody fragrance that suggests an actual tree, rain-wet, cold and remote. I for sure notice myrrh and oakmoss, it's kind of bitter, peppery and airy the way earthy scents can be if that makes sense? the alleged citrus top notes I don't really get.

And then I have two citrus vetivers that I wear a lot, Zara Vetiver Pamplemousse (grapefruit) and Bon Parfumeur 003 (yuzu), they were both no-brainers to get big bottles of at maybe 30 euro, and I like them more than pretty much any vetiver I tried other than the Frederic Malle. actually got a bunch of compliments on the Zara one, which doesn't really happen to me otherwise lol, shame it seems to be discontinued. The Bon Parfumeur one I might actually like more, i don't super know what violet leaf smells like in isolation, but the scent also has some of that cold, bitter melancholy feel I like in the Frederic Malle, but lighter and friendler because of the citrus.

Idk, thanks for asking, hope you can do something with these! Also: I am looking for a fruit scent. Love the idea of it, but haven't found an actual perfume I enjoy where the fruit would be like present and asserive, but also actually smell good to me lol. Fruity notes often really stick out and smell like cleaning products or cheap shampoo to me. Given that you mentioned wearing a(n unfruity) fig scent and the old Bat, is there any other fruit you can recommend?
