Hmmm... very interesting to me that Taylor Swift is trending rn and yet for some reason no one in that tag is complaining that her trending is taking away from what's going on in Palestine and what's happening in Rafah. And yet for some reason, people couldn't seem to shut up in the Kendrick Lamar tag when he was trending about how the whole beef was just two celebrities beef (it's much deeper than that) and were making up theories abt how the whole thing was taking attention away from Palestine and everyone talking about it should feel ashamed of themselves (every single account I saw in that tag was posting about Palestine too).

And the thing that's really getting me is that Taylor is trending bc of a change to the Eras tour. An objectively unimportant change to make, especially when compared to what's going on in Rafah. But that's not what gets hate, no, it's the predator getting called out in an industry known for exploitation by one of the biggest artists in said industry. The racism isn't even implicit atp...

Edit: ok so just to clarify no this wasn't meant to insinuate that Taylor trending was some setup of Israel (that's just... like objectively wrong lmao), it was to point out that when it comes to a black artist in hip hop (a predominantly non-white genre) people wouldn't let fans of said genre just enjoy the music and shenanigans happening in that genre and that's it's hypocritical to act like people can't care abt two things at once, but they can enjoy their white "feminist icon" pop star (a much whiter genre) without anyone bringing hate into that tag. like i put in the tags, the anti taylor tag is for filtering bc i honestly don't see this post as particularly negative for taylor swift, it's a critique of the fans. and i'm calling out swifties particularly bc the ones who were saying that the beef was manufactured to take eyes off of rafah were swifties, and the ones being racist in the kendrick tag were swifties. i'm not exaggerating like almost every hate post i saw mentioning the beef being manufactured was a swiftie account. it is weird to act like people caring about very serious allegations happening in a genre of music isn't reason enough to make a big deal of the situation and go INTO THE TAG and complain, but it is especially hypocritical and frankly quite infuriating to see the same people who complained about a big deal of a situation being a "distraction" from gaza and then blog abt taylor swift . it's fine if u want to blog abt music u like, honestly idc abt that, if that's all u do then this legit isn't targeted at u, this is targeted at the swifties who came into the kendrick tag to complain and then went back to talking abt swift two seconds later like they weren't doing the same thing they were complaining abt two minutes before. I assume you know so much abt Usagi that when you watch tmnt x Usagi crossovers you complain about any small inconsistencies

oh lmao he's his own guy in every one. but how could i not love him. itd be like being mad at 03 Leonardo for not being a perfect clone of his rottmnt counterpart.

all of the (checks notes) THREE tmnt adaptions of usagi take something about him from the source material and make it their own. '87 is silly, '12 is intense, and '03 is Honorable. and he is, at least, still a samurai in all three of them, which is enough for me. (i know '87 gets his name wrong but it loops back to being funny in my eyes.)

hell, if it weren't for 03 usagi (and by extension katanashipping) we wouldn't be having this conversation. i found out about usagi's existence through rottmnt fanfic (you know despite there never being an official crossover) and it had me scratching my head as to who this character was and where did he come from. none of the fics i perused through seemed to agree either, curiously enough.

i already don't let anyone tell me what a character's like until i see them for myself. because sometimes the loudest people aren't correct--they're just loud.

and so i found the 03 show and then the comics and the rest is history.

RAINWORLD OCs very awesome very cool

The green slugcat is named Gleepus Glorpus or GG for short; they named themselves through garbled noises in an attempt to speak to it's creator. GG was created by one of the twin Iterators out of boredom but has proven to be quite lovable, making their creator awfully attached to it.

Because this iterator got so so SO attached to this green booger rat, she decided to clone him! Using the DNA of an orange lizard, there are now hundreds of green alien-looking slugcats that can communicate through a hivemind and all act the same. YAY!

Most GG's look the same but there are a few oddballs that have mutated in some strange way. Example being PP and Jumbo.

Now onto that purple-looking one with the odd name. His name is Several Grapes on a Vine, or Grapes for short. The reason he has such a complex name is because he is actually an Ancient reborn into the body of a slugcat!

He was pressured into ascending when he realized that all his friends and family were leaving him. He didn't want to be alone, so he gave in and took a void bath. However, no matter how hard he tried deep down he didn't want to do this. He was scared of what would happen! He struggled so ferociously against the melting properties of the void fluid that instead of sinking down into its embrace, he was spat right back out into the depths, now in the form of a slugcat. He has no idea why the void sea did this, but now he wonders the land trying to find answers and inner peace.

i found ur blog recently after becoming incredibly infatuated with twst but specifically idia shroud (my friends said i act like him to an uncanny level and they were absolutely right...) and i love your vilidia posts dearly. ok that's it thank u

OMG that's so awesome, welcome to the twst fandom and congrats on having such fantastic taste in characters and ships lol!! i adore vilidia (obviously, if my whole vilidia tag is any indication) but i haven't posted about them in so long, i hope you don't mind if i use your ask as an excuse to share some silly little headcanons that i don't believe i've posted before:

so i think that when vil was like, 10 or so, his dad tried to encourage his love of potion-making by getting him one of those candy chemistry kits. the ones that come in super cute colorful boxes and teach you how to make things like exploding pop rocks and glow-in-the-dark gummies while explaining the science behind it. (here's a picture of basically the exact thing i'm thinking of.) but vil, poor sweet little vil who'd already let the brutality of the entertainment industry make him believe that he needed to be absolutely perfect, just rolled his eyes and said he was too old for that stuff and that all of that candy wouldn't be good for him anyway. he never once touched the kit, even though part of him probably did really want to.

and i also think that at some point, after he and idia had started dating, idia bought one of those same kits online and just barely mustered up the courage to ask vil if he'd like to join him and ortho in making some of the candy. he claimed the entire thing was ortho's idea, but vil could tell that idia really wanted them to do this together and he decided it'd be okay to indulge his boyfriend just once. as he actually made the candy he realized that although it obviously didn't teach him a single thing he didn't already know, it was still a lot of fun and he wished he hadn't rejected things like that as a kid.

also, speaking of chemistry, there's a voice line in-game where idia implies that he is not good at it. so while i think he and vil would be fascinated by each other's different fields of scientific interest and would love talking about it together i also think that one day idia just very overdramatically goes like: "omg i'm doing soooooo bad in my chemistry classes... if only some super smart and kind and very attractive person would help me out..."

and vil responds by telling idia that he most certainly does not share his younger brother's talent as an actor. but he agrees to help anyway and then they have cute study dates.

idia's habit of starting to excitedly infodump about his interests only to suddenly get embarrassed and stop persists for a while into his relationship with vil but every single time it happens, vil encourages idia to keep going. he often says things like "oh, are you done already? that's a shame, i was so looking forward to hearing more about sora's journey to save kairi". it takes a long time but eventually idia gets to a point where he's so comfortable around vil that he doesn't feel embarrassed anymore.
