-as rui’s childhood friend, nene has extensive fire safety knowledge

-shizuku is adopted, hence why she looks so different from shiho. she was adopted shortly before the moon rabbit event and it contributed to her clinginess

-shiho forgets this fact sometimes. she’ll casually mention something like shizuku got all mom’s good genes so unfair and ichika has to be. um. shiho

-kanade is mildly nearsighted/myopic but spends so much time at her computer she hasn’t noticed

-emu is buff. she climbs multiple stories without breaking a sweat and is canonically part of the swimming, handball and rhythmic gymnastic clubs, you can’t tell me she doesn’t have some muscle

-saki helps out as a human notepad for tsukasa, reminding of him things he would otherwise forget within 5 minutes

-the vocaloids also help. at first it was unnerving to have hatsune miku be an extension of his psyche that knows his darkest secret (stole saki’s candy when he was 6) but now his phone has a more reliable catgirl themed reminder system

-you know that classic nightmare of leaving the house without pants? tsukasa has legitimately done that as a kid. he forgor. (saki will never let him live it down)

-in the kamiyama student council/hall monitor room, an has put up at sign saying “_ days since last kamishiro incident”

-the shinonome siblings both figured out the other one was gay before they figured it out about themselves

-airi’s great at trivia from her time as a variety show star. she still can’t beat minori at idol trivia, though

-ena keeps a diary with fort knox level security. try to read it and you’ll lose a finger

-saki learned to crochet from the old ladies in the hospital

-shiho’s most treasured phenny is a somewhat lumpy crocheted phenny holding a very lumpy crocheted bass guitar

-tsukasa snores. he falls asleep in 10 seconds and sounds like a dying lawnmower

-mizuki has learned a small bit of french from their sister and uses it exclusively to teach rui and an how to swear in french

-emu still celebrates her grandfather’s birthday, even if he’s not there to celebrate with her

-ena is allergic to dogs, the middle point to airi’s cat allergy and akito’s dog phobia

-rui has various small scars from his experiments over the years, but nobody ever believes the real causes (rocket launcher, robot bite, exploding balloon animal, etc.) so he just makes up a new cause every time someone asks

-mmj! has had repeated incidents of minori and airi’s little siblings walking into frame when streaming at their houses. shiho understands the concept of a livestream but has still been caught failing at creeping past like that one new broadcast of the guy crawling along the floor

-kanade has pots & eds, this one I have a reason for look at her symptoms. chronic exhaustion, heat and cold intolerance, comorbid sleep issues and depression, dizziness when standing up, fainting after standing up, very pale skin, family history of medical issues, pain at normal physical activities, exercise intolerance, vertigo at mild exertion, she just fucking dies during the entire baseball event, I could go on. she canonically gets pain in her hands from opening a jar girl that is not just being out of shape that is physical disability. this one I will go conspiracy board on listen to me I’m right

-kohane ate bugs as a kid. an is horrified, toya is confused, akito is impressed

-ena and airi got in trouble in middle school because they’d keep starting fist fights in defense of the others honor. if they saw the other in a fight they’d jump in guns blazing no hesitation no questions ask ready to throw the fuck down

-vbs!rin and len were given a skateboard by an and then promptly had the skateboard confiscated by meiko for property destruction

-haruka is horrible with slang. she asks the stream chat what poggers means and immediately uses it completely wrong, killing all viewers on impact

-minori is torn between thinking it’s cute and wanting to die

-toya has been banned from arcades before because he made them lose too much money/they suspected he was cheating

-ena brought kanade over for girls night and nearly scared akito half to death because he went down to get a late night snack and there was some Ghastly Creature looming in his kitchen

-kohane's parents stick out like a sore thumb when going to her live shows. it mortifies her that everyone on vivid street can recognize them as the only milquetoast middle aged couple dressed in normal clothes loudly going YOU'RE DOING GREAT SWEETIE that don't know the first thing about music

-minori knows basic programming. she mostly uses it for forums, blogs, html, other web design things usually related to idols as a hobby, but she's become the groups designated anti-shizuku tech support

-mafuyu has always been able to see ghosts but after adults figured she was just playing pretend as a kid so she shrugged and figured it was normal and not worth bringing up again

-honami has one of those massive extended families and somehow keeps track of them all. at any given time cousin #57 can crawl out of the woodwork and she remembers their new job, favorite food, past three romantic relationships and list of allergic reactions

-mizuki does doll customizing as a hobby. they prefer making human sized clothes, but it's fun to make them miniature too. they've introduced shizuku to it and she loves it, but doesn't have the heart to do anything that would hurt the doll (sawing limbs off, dunking them in boiling water, shoving wires in them, etc.)

A silly comic based on this one convo with a friend [pt1 • pt2] which ended up being like... putting Meiko, Rui and Wallace in the same chat group and watching how far it could go with those three.

So um... I had this Pjsk au in my mind for a while

(I'm not really good at english so please don't mind the bad grammar)

So it was like "what if the vocaloids were actually some people or something but they still try to help our main cast" type of thing.... HEAR ME OUT..... (The sekai still exists btw but without the vocaloids).

So each vocaloid is actually a human and while trying to help the cast, at the same time they also realize things about themselves. They can enter the sekai too, but they don't know how it works, they just know that it's made out of feelings.

So here are the vocaloids:

Kaito: A man who gave up his dreams on being an actor and decided to find a job that would let him at least live in an apartment.

Meiko: A woman that works at her somehow successful cafe (living better than Kaito of course) and takes care of her 2 niblings (Rin and Len).

Len: A boy who goes to Kamiyama high school, his dream is to become a famous street singer and after finding "Vivid bad squad" his dream of becoming famous gets more powerful.

Rin: A miyamasuzaka student who not only has the same dream as Minori (becoming an idol) but also wants to help her achieve her dream. "More more jump!" help her to her journey as an idol too.

(They both help Meiko at her cafe)

Luka: The lead guitarist and singer from a not so famous band who helps Ichika and her friends + sometimes does free guitar classes to Ichika.

Miku: The youngest of all vocaloids (being 13 to 14). She found out about Nightcords music and felt identified. Even if she's young, she shows a huge maturity towards the Nightcords and helps them a lot. She sees the Nightcords as inspiration.

And that's it, I'm not really good with aus or in general making my own stories but I thought that it was a good idea 乁⁠(⁠ ⁠•⁠_⁠•⁠ ⁠)⁠ㄏ

Sorry if this spoils you um... TSUKASA FOCUS!! What are your thoughts on what might happen? Based on the event description and then bunny plush being w tsukasa in the untrained.. im inclined to think because he's been cast as a minor role, he's kind of. like. What if i cant cause many smiles because of where i am.. and then meikos like you silly goose. you're the brightest star in someones universe and the bunny is there to remind him . AUGHH. AUGH

dw daichan already spoiled it on the stream last month lmao. Oh this event looks so interesting and frankly!! it's perfect for tsukasa's character arc!!! sorry about the excess of exclamation marks i'm excited about the possibility that people might finally understand him after this event and finally free me from writing analysis posts about him haha.

him being a minor part is literally what he needs to improve his acting. he's always either the lead or a major character, taking a step back is like another slap of realism for him and honestly, it might even be better for him than the challenges he's faced before when he struggled with lead roles. because he can't always be the lead, that just isn't a possibility. no matter how good an actor is they will not be the lead in everything they star in. he's pushed his limits to get lead roles before (Torpe, Rio, also the secondary lead Bartlett), so i think approaching a minor role is going to be a whole new experience for him.

I'm especially interested in the fact he's tasked with making the character feel real because we all know what that means: some good old fashioned Tsukasa unpacking his emotions. we don't know yet exactly what this minor character is doing, so i can't really make any guesses as to what is meant to feel real about it since we don't know their motivations and conflicts yet, but i get the feeling it will play into the fact that Tsukasa got the minor role, like how Rio played into his weaknesses and Torpe connected to his younger self.

As I said, Tsukasa is pretty much always the lead or some significant role. In this scenario as well when what he’s trying to do is improve his acting, such a minor role could feel like nothing. I think those feelings (be it annoyance or disappointment or whatever it may be in the story) are somehow going to play a part in how he has to make such a minor character feel real.

Also I think one of the aspects Tsukasa struggles with most is understanding the characters he plays. With Torpe he couldn’t relate to him and therefore struggled to play the role because he couldn’t get his head around how the character should act. With Rio he struggled too, and tried to replicate some of the character’s struggles in real life to help him try and get into the mindset of the character. But those two were MCs, a minor character with three lines is a whole different story because they don’t have an arc. However, all characters in a good story will have some sort of motive and you will be able to tell what that is from only a few lines. Good dialogue should be able to tell you a lot about a character. I think that’s what Tsukasa is going to learn in this event. Minor characters are not irrelevant even if they don’t contribute to any major plot points. All the characters in the world of that story are real people with individual lives and thoughts and feelings.

And to steer this away from me talking too much about screenwriting I think a minor role as you pointed out could be a hit to his desire to make people smile. Because who cares about a character with three lines? The hero makes people smile, not a forgettable background guy. The forgettable background guy won’t mean anything to anyone, he won’t make anyone smile, and he’s not a star.

Also the preview and title I think will play into these insecurities and lessons. He can’t be the lead every time, he can’t always be the big star of the show. However he can make a small role into a highlight, and even if he isn’t the frontman, there will always be people who will view him as the star of the show regardless, like Saki (Usa-chan) and WxS, and he can at least make them smile.

-flashback to shiho online name backstory, they were pretty fine up to the point until shizuku quit being a model and decided to focus on being an idol. this was probably only a little bit after canon leo/need was SERIOUSLY over (high school, shiho pushed them away). not good mental states.

-the arguement went something like:

"im going to become an idol"

"why"

"i need to (prove myself)" (i really need to figure out shizuku in this au huh...)

"why would you need to? you shouldn't do things to just prove people wrong"

the fight escalates, shizuku makes some points about canon l/n and shiho makes some points about being a model/idol. it ends with shiho locking herself in her room.

-if they're ever in the same place, things get very tense (like dinner with your parents when you know theyre going to ask you want to do with your life)

EVENTS

design for soul and heart! - post 1st anni

-so um what happens is that emu sees a fashion poster. is thinking about it ALL week when she sees shizuku at school

-thinks "ohhhh that lady is really pretty maybe she'd be interested"

-she meets airi and shiho at pxl and invites them too. she didn't tell them shizuku was there though

-awkward silence between idols and glaring between sisters. however emu makes them all work together

-emu figured out the problem and was really confused (she and her sister get along really well?!!?)

and hinomoris have some sort of silent agreement to not talk about it in public

-toya. spoiler alert its toya because tenma and he has brothers and horrible parents and hes friends with shiho. this wasnt planned beforehand i promise

-with a bit of pondering, shizuku finally decides to do it straightforward

-the conversation is up to interpretation (i am not creative) but after that their relationship is something between canon shinonomes and canon hinomoris

MUST KEEP COMPOSING...i feel like a kanade right now (tired) but i will probably have shinonomes done in a few days. no promises for designs

(also!! update on colorfes pulls. i got ena1, kohane3??? (one sheep) akito, banner ichika, tsukasa, minori (twice), colorfes KAITO, and a saki dupe in 33k. one day colorfes shiho and sunflower akito WILL come home but hey at least i have a 4star akito card)

Thnx for the compliments! I admit, I was completely stumped on the MEIKO part! I tried to do it multiple days, but I couldn't come up with anything good! Today though, that changed! I hope you like what I've cooked up! -^- Also, the last part is, um, sort of confusing? I decided to ignore it, but if you really want me to do it, please make sure to explain it a bit more next time!

Niigo Miku

Miku has already bonded pretty tightly with the other quiet members of the group, so she wouldn't mind your personality at all! Just as she could spend company in silence with others, she could spend it with you!

Her eyes do widen when she sees you nearby. The others always come to her when they enter the sekai, but since you never truly search for her she doesn't really know when you are or aren't in the sekai...

Sometimes, being alone is a good thing, but in other times one just desires to be alone because others may interrupt their thoughts or bring their own! However, Miku's presence is so silent, that one may as well be alone, just with another presence close.

And as much as you may enjoy just staring at the infinite gray void by yourself, you can't deny that her almost transparent presence makes everything better, especially in the small occasions when you do feel an urge to speak up.

"Ah, you're speaking. No, I was just not paying attention, I wasn't expecting you to say anything. I don't want you to remain silent if you don't wish for it though, I can listen."

As much as she has difficulty expressing herself, she feels much better spending time in silence with someone else, and as the other silent vocaloid doesn't enjoy company, she doesn't have many options. That's why she enjoys your visits quite a bit.

If you ask for it, she may even get close, let you rest against her, or maybe even brush your hair. Anything to help you feel more relaxed. As the days pass, you find yourself wanting her attention more and more, especially because she doesn't do much with it, and you can just relax in silence, but better!

You sometimes fall asleep in her lap, or while she's brushing your hair, and she doesn't know what to do for a bit. However, she does notice that sometime you go to the sekai because you're tired, and she simply lets you rest on her, like a big pillow...

And when you're done and about to leave, you always thank her for her presence! At first she doesn't think much of it, but when she thinks about your first few visits when you didn't desire anyone's presence nearby, she can't help but feel proud of herself! If only just a bit, but a nice feeling nonetheless.

Niigo MEIKO

It's quite interesting to see MEIKO try to interact with people, since she struggles to understand her true purpose in this Sekai yet. So as she watches and watches, what could go through in her mind?

She does notice whenever you find yourself alone in the sekai, and simply just stares, trying to analyze whatever you'd want in this space. Some alone time, and a cool down from some bad thoughts...

She makes sure to keep her distance, as always, though she can't help but feel curious to what you're thinking... After all, unlike the rest she can't really overhear you speaking with others and learn that way!

You find her presence odd. She wants to inspect you, but she stays so far away... She wants to know about you, but she doesn't come to speak... You don't mind at first, but it starts to get annoying, and you finally speak up.

"What? I know you've noticed me before. Now what, are you going to question me? Hm, I'm simply observing you to see what your reason for coming here is. You always seem troubled, yet you don't look for anyone's help, so now I don't know anything about you."

You offer a simple exchange, if she keeps the others away from you and makes sure you remain alone, you will speak towards her and tell her whatever. She seems to agree, but you can tell that she doesn't think it'll work. It goes against her belief of distance, but she sees no other way...

The others notice her change, no longer wandering around the sekai, but she doesn't care. It's the first time she's had a clear goal in mind, a clear path to follow and a clear reward to get at the end. She doesn't notice it herself, but she's finally starting to act with a stronger motive behind her actions...

You tell her about your troubles, and how you only need some time to yourself, and she understands quite well. She is familiar with the desire to deal with troubling thoughts with alone time, so she starts cooperating more openly instead of without too much care at the start.

It's interesting to see MEIKO change with such a simple request, but maybe this is all that she's been missing? It's hard to tell, but she shares a lot of troubles that you do, and she seems open to help you... So then maybe you should also respect the distance she puts between you two?

Niigo Luka

Another quiet person visiting the sekai? Sometimes, Luka wishes there were more people like her to brighten the place up! Although she does get a knack out of messing with those who don't speak up much...

She can't help but crack a smile every time she sees you alone, and she never wastes the opportunity to get close, especially since she does tend to like talking with people who visit just a tad more...

And she is very aware that you don't like company! But messing with you is just so entertaining, especially since her mere presence is already enough to make you react in such an enjoyable way! For her.

Her smile when she approaches does frustrate you a bit, being aware that she does this just to mess with you, but you can't deny that her company does sometimes help with clearing things off your mind.

"Hm? Aw, you didn't call me? I was aware, but I'm still here anyways. What are you going to do about it? Nothing, I see. Hm, then don't mind me making that this empty sekai isn't as silent as it is dull."

Luka tends to like idle chat with you, which she does to allow you to relax and listen instead of having to respond. She knows you tend to tune her out, but just being near you and interacting with you is enough for her.

Her voice remains calm and relaxing, and it's actually not bad for relaxing or thinking to yourself. In fact, you sometimes take the opportunity to just speak a bit about your problems, telling her to simply change the topic afterwards.

She does wish to help you with them, but she can tell that you don't want her involvement and instead simply listens when she needs to and helps you by filling your mind with casual topics that help you take you mind off the worse of thoughts!

All in all, even though she doesn't really respect your privacy, she does tend to make you enjoy whatever time you don't have to yourself! And even though you don't tell her that, she can tell that you don't mind her at all, for as annoying as she may be.

Thinking abt the fantasy au again

I’m moving emu attempting to leave the group to some point after the part where I’m borrowing from wonder halloween but it’s very entertaining to play w how a more emotionally competent (barely) rui would go about being like “I should leave for the safety of the group.” Something something he’s like well if nene joins you have a magic user you don’t need me anymore (tsukasa pressing the incorrect buzzer)

Emu leaving needs to be more of a “this is My Responsibility and this is dangerous” which is absolutely impacted by tsukasa being injured in the beginning but I think it works better if I move it to be in line w her confrontation with meiko. Because she needs to confront meiko on her own au meiko would not accept the outstretched hand from emu unless it was without an audience. Emu going I’m able to move on from my grandpa’s death because of my support system & you can do the same thing after the death of Luka (because miku/kagamines/kaito are all still here and still love you) ouuggh… (meiko voice) I hate all humans especially the otori royal line (picture of emu is sent) I will make an exception because she looks very polite.

Also allows for more emunene relationship development beforehand bc nene would not be confident enough to confront emu on her dumbass choices without an established rapport. Nene finding out emu went to confront the embodiment of death and endings on her own out of a misplaced belief she needs to do things on her own: I’m going to kill everybody in this room and then myself.

+ honestly though v tempted to make like. The confrontation have all of wxs. At least for part of it. Because they’re all so important to each other and love each other so much. Idk… initial confrontation w emu and meiko and then kaito brings wxs into the fray?

+ world building in that the magic nene uses (drawing from the natural world) is more normalized/easier and more controlled as opposed to whatever rui uses (using his own energy and putting it into things he creates, or using his own energy offensively).

- I think if I go the prophecy route (doubtful) the prophecy will be a lie bc I do not vibe with “fate is set in stone” I think the crucial thing needs to be emu having An Idea which is why she runs away and Tsukasa follows her based off of that idea. & then rui and nene join for the same reason. Canonisms.

- rui & tsukasa sparring to improve their skill sets against the other’s arsenal. They need to be insane w each other in every universe. Also worked in both of them getting arrested because it’s really fucking funny. Tsukasa banging his head on the cell wall dramatically like ouughh how could this happen I just wanted to be a knight & rui’s like “well it could be worse” & tsukasa’s like “WTF DO U MEAN IT COULD BE WORSE”…

- saki restraining herself from hitting tsukasa when he comes back from his big fun (lying) journey (deserved of her). & then saki leaves to travel with L/N and he’s A Fucking Mess. Before this Saki is like u mentioned rui a lot in ur letters… what’s up w that (eyes). + saki and nene interactions with nene developing a treatment plan for the corruption borne chronic illness

- nene voice I’m so glad I can finally help someone w this illness Let me tell u embarrassing stories abt ur brother. Oh He didn’t tell you he got injured & I had to drag him back from deaths door. Um. (Saki is going to kill him)

- if any relationship happens in the main story it’ll have to be emunene (& even then it’s doubtful. ideally I’d write a focus for them abt it) ruikasa becomes a thing like a year+ after the main plot because they’re both genuinely incompetent

— idr if I mentioned it anywhere but I do have the heavy handed emu & rui meddling where rui books 1 room with double beds and 1 room with only one bed (meddling on behalf of nene) and he attempts to give emunene the room with one bed and then emu (meddling on behalf of tsukasa) is like ok so YOU’LL take the single bed room :) & then emu sleeps in the same bed as nene anyways.

—- whole au is nene being like ok well now I’m living life again. And if anything happens to emu I’ll kill everyone in this room and then myself.

- i think kaito should have a special relationship w tsukasa in that he communicates w tsukasa but in an incredibly unhelpful way & tsukasa wants to strangle him for this. Kaito gives unhelpful hints and Tsukasa is like what the fuck does that mean & kaitos like “you’ll figure it out :)” and Tsukasa is Seething.

- kagamines are more helpful. Len would probably interact mainly w rui & rin w nene. I don’t think rui and len get anything done though len just thinks rui is neat and rui is very happy to teach him things.

- miku is emu’s special little guide she shows up as a cat guiding her in the beginning and then fully reveals herself later. She’s not Super helpful but she does her best and also encourages emu to follow her heart. Which prologue tsukasa is suffering because of. (Tsukasa voice) where did the fucking princess go I’m in hell the king is gonna kill me (miku voice) hey emu come hide in this spot there’s free food.

Okay PJSK characters as Pirates of Penzance

Holy crap this is so dumb. The only reason I like this play in the first place is from seeing a highschool theater edition performed. All that makes it perfect for PJSK tho.

Ruth - Nene Kusanagi

Base summary is basically Frederick is apprenticed to the pirates, but he's free when he turns 21. On his 21st year, he leaves. Frederick realizes how Um-Piratey the pirates are and tries to get them back on course. They pirates do not oblige. Ruth tries to marry him bc she's in love and thinks she's young. Frederick doesn't believe her, and then sees a bunch of young women (daughters) and tries to marry them. None of them accept except for Mabel. This is because he is a pirate. The pirates return to marry the daughters, but then their father, who is a major General comes in to stop them. He escapes the pirates on the lie that he is an orphan, because the pirates don't hurt orphans (they themselves are)

The Major general worries about his lie. Meanwhile Frederic plans to charge the pirates using police. Ruth and the pirate King come to tell Frederick he's actually only 5 and a little because he was born on leap year and the document says "birthdays" He is still indebted to them and must return away from Mabel. He tells the pirates about the General's lie and then they charge. The pirates overpower the police and then the sergeant asks them to yield on the queen's name, to which they do. Ruth then reveals they are all noble men and they are allowed to marry the daughters.

Okay so A bit on how I distributed the roles:

Rui Kamishiro makes perfect sense for pirate King I mean come on look at him. Also he is a tenor. Pirate is a bass but there are no frickin bases in this game.

Nene as Ruth because she feels kind of spindly, as well as having that kind of old lady but not really look Abt. Her.

Tsukasa as Frederic because Fred's the main character, Tsukasa is a star, but also because Tsukasa is meant to be handsome, he also low key seems like the type to yell "YOU BETRAYED ME". And emukasa. Emukasa is very important

Emu as Mabel because Emukasa. Also she could hit those high notes really well.

Mizuki is Samuel because I feel like they have that bond with Rui so the dynamics would be fun. Also Casting them as a pirate suits them well.

Major General Akito because I didn't know who else to put there and I planned on casting his sister as a daughter so it'd make sense for him to be sort of protective? Or at least not want her marrying a Pirate.

Sergeant of Police was Toya bc I just needed another male character.

Queen Victoria is Hatsune Miku BECAUSE OF COURSE SHE IS COME ON

John Brown as Kaito because I needed another male character and also he can show up in other scenes bc there are few as John Brown. I had him as a pirate because equal amount of pirates and daughters (not sure if that's fact just what I'm running with)

Edith - Mafuyu: Bookish daughter.

Kate - An: Tomboyish Daughter

Isabel - Kohane: Shy/Naive Daughter

Daughters are whatever is left over from who wouldn't be pirates, except for a few like Shizuku who I feel would be better suited. Ena is also there because Major General Akito and protectiveness.

Pirates are whoever fit. Shiho because she seems a little rough, Kaito because I needed another pirate, etc. The ones that are also police are bc I needed more Pirates.

Police - Law abiding/left overs but also not really.

Guards are Rin and Len. Pretty self explanatory.

Miles: while technically not part of wxs we are also joined by a denizen of the wonderland sekai! say hello miku!

Miku: HIII!!!! it's me!! the one of five hatsune miku☆!!!

Nene: one of five?! what is that supposed to mean???

Miku: don't worry about it :3

Miles: i thought kaito was joining us as well? where is he?

Miku: he's busy babysitting the twins!! and meiko!!! and also he's making sure luka doesn't get lost by taking a nap where she shouldn't!!

Emu: Wow Kaito really is like a responsible older brother!!

Miles: anyway let's start the actual interview shall we? who are you guys rooting for in the finals?

Rui: Personally I'm supporting Prower in the finale. I have quite a bit of respect for him coming from one inventor to another. I've been discussing ideas with him during the competition to use for my plays. Currently he's teaching me how to construct a plane.

Nene: i'm choosing tails as well... um... he's really cool... and i like sonic games so...

Rui: Someone as smart as him at only eight years old? I would be lying if I said I wasn't even a little envious of his abilities.

Nene: i like action games more than point and click adventure games usually but max is still cool i guess

Tsukasa: THAT RABBIT SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF ME! He has definitely killed someone i can feel it...

Rui: Killing someone might be an understatement fufufu

Tsukasa: THAT IS WHY I AM TEAM MABEL AND LUFFY ALL THE WAY!!

Tsukasa: Not to say that's the only reason why I'm voting for them however! Mabel is a very funny kid I'll give her that! I think she and my little sister Saki would get along really well! And I admire Luffy greatly for being someone who follows their dreams as much I do!

Emu: MABEL AND LUFFY ARE SO SO SO WONDERHOY!!!! i feel bad for not voting for tails and max because they're so so so fluffy and cute but mabel and luffy are so cool!!!

Emu: me and mabel have been playing all the time during the competition!! she's so fun to be around!! and luffy is like a cool big brother!! he actually invited me to join his pirate crew but i turned him down because there's no way i'm leaving tsukasa and nene and rui!!

Tsukasa: I mean, we're all going our separate ways eventually right? We all have dreams we're striving towards you know.

Emu: ...

Nene: that's definitely true. but i know that i'll always treasure the time i spent with you all

So long as interdimensional travel was out of their reach, Meiko aspired to visit the First as regularly as she could, so long as time allowed. The nonsense with the Final Days had understandably taken up a lot of her time, but now that things were relatively calmer, she tried to drop by every couple of weeks. With it, she gladly brought communication between the Scions and their loved ones, whether it be through letter or word of mouth.

The Crystarium was always her first stop. Sometimes it was her only stop depending on how much time she had, which worked well enough as it was the central hub of Norvrandt, and messages could be carried off in haste with Feo-Ul's assistance (after much praise and apology). Her best trips were the long ones, though.

Today would be the start of a long one, as she was also on an errand for Y'shtola that would likely require some thought from Beq Lugg, as well as Cylva and Unukalhai. She always sought out Ryne and Gaia first, though, and it didn't take her long to learn they were likely in Ryne's apartment at the Pendants. She waved to the Manager of the Suites and headed up the stairs to the familiar room.

As she neared the door, Meiko paused to knock, only to hear familiar giggling coming from inside. How cute. Feeling a bit cheeky, she decided to let herself in and surprise them.

"Guess who's back from 'cross th'Rift?" she greeted in a singsong tone, swinging the door wide open -- and watching the black blur that was Gaia fling herself across the room with enough speed to nearly knock over one of the chairs.

Puzzled, Meiko was about to apologize for giving the other teen a fright, up until she looked over at Ryne and saw the lass was practically radiating crimson. And adjusting her hair.

Ah, fuck.

Fuck.

The Viera abruptly turned away, one hand coming up to shade over her eyes despite there being nothing scandalous to see. Or unsee.

"Uh! Sorry -- um," Shite. Fuck. Oh, she felt terrible now! And also couldn't help but think about Thancred's reaction. Not that anyone would be particularly surprised, but -- "Uh, I --"

"Gaia, no!"

Meiko looked back to see Ryne restraining Gaia, who had picked up her mallet in furious response.

"You're supposed to knock! Were you born outside?" she demanded angrily, somehow redder than Ryne.

"I--I actually dinnae know that answer, but no! M'sorry! I was just tryin' tae surprise you!" Meiko held up her hands in defense, then slowly let them fall to her sides and hung her head. "Okay, okay, you can hit me." It probably wouldn't kill her.

"We're not hitting anyone! It was a mistake, Gaia!" Ryne managed to pry the weapon from her hands. The other girl huffed and folded her arms, fuming as she looked away. Shaking her head, she turned back to Meiko. "It really is okay! We're always happy to see you, Meiko. Just--please knock next time."

"Promise on my life," Meiko agreed, sheepish. Literally, I think.

Want to brag about Cooper he’s very odd like Shiva he really takes after him but he’s also adopted things that the other cats do and he’ got his own things as well like for example him and Shiva when they walk they’ll spread their back legs like they’ve afraid they’ll squish their 🅱️ a l lS.

Cooper has his own lil meow and it’s so cute. He’s taken Tanis and Ivy under his wing and lays with them, plays with them and gives them baths and it’s the cutest thing to watch I love that for him.

He likes to lay as close as he can to you like if I get out of bed he’ll lay right where I was or you shift he’ll lay right where you previously were. He like to lay agaisnt you back as close and he can snuggle. He likes to eat dog food. He has a lil beaver toy that he used to carry in his mouth all the time, you could even hold it up to him and he’s take it in his mouth and run off with it. He doesn’t do that anymore tho :(

We call him Cooper, Coups, Coomper and um, Soomper Doomper Coomper Poomper. And other names that Idk how to spell. I’ve called him “a boy” cause Shiva is “the boy” and I’ve called him Boss Man but that didn’t stick. Hims got big paws which I will show pics of if I still have them. His eyes bother me something it’s a weird energy behind them like his eyes are different from the other cats lol um his claws are black which is cool cause the other cats have like see through clear claws.

He’s a lil dumb he’s got this cute thing that only he does where he’ll have his mouth next to an object, like a box or a toy really anything and he pretends to chew even tho the object is not in his mouth. Sometimes he pretends to chew and there’s no object near him. He love to eat hair and he loves to lick he will lick your face and nose a lot and if you pet him and rub his tummy he will lick. He’s done the chewing thing on my fingers and nose and forehead and HES GOT A FAT TUMMY HIM LIKE A LIL POT BELLY PIG and Tanis is taking after him. He’s friends with Meiko he’s really the only one Meiko likes and tolerated which is funny. The other day Meiko jumped up on my bed and hesitated to lay down cause Cooper was already there but eventually she laid down and even got right next to him. ALSO ALSO MOST IMPORTANTLY HIS TAIL is very long and it’s always up like Lil’ Mashtya but his tail curves at the top like a question mark and the saying is ‘how much trouble can I get into today?’ Or ‘what kind of trouble can I get into today?’ Ok here’s some pics of Cooper. Also we got him from my Aunt who isn’t really my aunt but we call her that and his name was Salem but she changed it to Cooper after her husband. Cooper is the family name anyway pics HIS BIG PAWS

Also also in the beginning when we got the kittens he would chase them and pin them down and try to bite at their necks, which is why my aunt didn’t want him cause he was doing that to her cat Gracie but he just didn’t know how to play with them cause they were so small. They play better now with each other, Tanis and Ivy know how to fight back and Cooper is learning to be more gentle with them. He’s just really entertaining to watch. And he gets along with mostly everybody he plays with Shiva and Luna but of course Lil’ Mashtya hates everyone

I can't believe I never thought of this! Love could be interesting as well as Hope. If anything, I'd say Hope was what Oikawa needed the most, which is interesting given how the role of trying to help him is given to Iori, Takeru's Jogress partner.

Then again, I also really like the idea of a separate Crest for everyone, even though, as I say, "you can't have 7 billion different traits". Still, what would it even be?

Oikawa needed to believe in himself a little more, and allow himself to move on and grow. Perhaps something like Faith, or even Determination, which has been my headcanon Crest for Meiko ever since Ketsui was announced.

I know some people could be like "What about Darkness??? That would be cool and I mean darkness is not always evil!!!!!" and um. I see your point but we're talking about the Adventure universe here. I don't think darkness is what he needs to grow as a person, or something good he has potential for. His association with darkness was probably a byproduct of Vamdemon's possession. I say this because many people said it about Meiko and whew, I don't know about that tbh. But anyway.

Yeah, perhaps something like Faith? In oneself, in the possibility of growth, in new opportunities.

iwaizumi was... overwhelmed, to say the least.

the past few days had been such a whirlwind of change that hajime could barely properly process, much less appropriately react to it all, so he behaved much like a zombie, saying yes when prompted, signing papers when told, and packing up what was his entire life for the past 11 months.

wow. iwaizumi collapsed on his bed as he scanned his now barren bedroom. he’d been here for almost a year and yet, all his belongings were in boxes within a couple of days.

hajime couldn’t keep the disbelieving chuckle from escaping his chest as he leaned back on his bed, dark brown eyes trained on the ceiling.

it felt like he’d spent such a large chunk of his life trapped in this house, under the foot of the woman who he thought he’d marry but in reality, he’d been in little leagues longer than he’d been in love.

iwaizumi scoffed and rolled his eyes. yeah, “in love”. it’d been about a week since his whole life started to unravel and he had hardly seen, let alone spoken to meiko throughout that entire time.

over text, she’d sworn up and down that she loved and cared about him but as she passed by him packing his things a few days ago, she’d barely spared him a second glance.

hajime wasn’t going to lie. it hurt. he’d opened his heart up to her, something he didn’t do easily, and she’d taken his trust and used it to twist him into her weapon.

he always believed he was stronger than this — he’d never forget his mother telling him so when he was younger. he had fallen and scraped his knee yet he refused to cry to keep from upsetting his mom. iwaizumi existed to live up to what his mother thought of him but here he was, completely enveloped in meiko’s shit, doing her dirty work and following her bidding like some mutt.

god, toorū was right. he really was her bitch.

“i could hear you thinking from down the hall, iwa-chan.” speak of the devil...

oikawa stood at his doorway, leaning against the frame with a posture that seemed relaxed at first glance but if you looked a little closer, you’d notice the tenseness in his shoulders and the tightness of his smile.

hajime quickly sat up on his bed before motioning for his old friend to enter. “uh, yeah,” he began, his voice cracking a little from disuse, “i have a lot to think about.”

the light haired brunette let out an understanding hum before wandering into the room, sharp observant eyes darting to look at all the empty walls. “looks like you’re all packed.”

“pretty much,” iwaizumi nodded before the room fell into an awkward silence, the two childhood friends completely avoiding one another’s eyes.

“look, i-“

“iwa-chan, i’m-“

they both paused for a moment before bursting into laughter, the sound carrying into the hall and throughout the house.

hajime wiped a few stray tears from his eyes, shaking his head at their awkwardness. “you first, shittykawa.”

toorū gasped in halfhearted mock offense before quickly sobering up, training iwaizumi with a completely serious look. “i’m sorry and before you go on some bullshit, self sacrificing rant, you’re not the only one to blame for what happened to our friendship.”

he sighed while making his way to iwaizumi’s bed, sitting down gently beside him. “i should’ve known better, okay? i shouldn’t have let my jealousy and insecurities get in between us but i guess i got swept up in the attention, yknow? meiko is actually charming when she wants to be.”

iwaizumi nodded in agreement, knowing all too well how compelling meiko could be. the room fell into a more comfortable silence as both boys escaped into their thoughts, questions about the future of their friendship flitting throughout their minds.

“oh!�� oikawa was pulled out of his own head at hajime’s exclamation, his eyes moving to observe his friend dig through his pockets to procure a thick white envelope. “here. i’d like you to give this yn.”

all toorū could do was nod, his brain short circuiting at the sight of iwaizumi’s apparent kindness to the woman he tormented for so long. “uh, what’s in it?” he ventured to ask, his soft hands toying with the sealed envelope flap.

a soft chuckle came from across the bed. “don’t be so nosy toorū, just give it to her, yeah?” oikawa rolled his eyes but obliged, the bed creaking as he stood to his feet.

“so... this is it, huh?” it was like the reality of the situation was just now sinking in — they hadn’t been close in a while but iwaizumi was still his best friend and he wasn’t quite ready to let him go.

they’d been through so much together, practically growing up together and now, they’d only see each other on holidays, if even then, and then he’d never be invited to hajime’s wedding as his best man as they’d planned and he also wouldn’t be the coolest uncle/godfather of iwa’s children and—

“fuck no,” hajime scoffed with a bright grin on his face. “thought you were gonna annoy me til the end of time shittykawa. don’t tell me you’re quitting your job now.”

the hidden meaning behind iwaizumi’s words brought tears to oikawa’s eyes and before he could stop himself, he launched his body into iwa’s arms. hajime hesitated, his hands stuttering at toorū’s sides as though he’d forgotten how to hug but the feeling passed, his arms winding around his friend’s lithe waist.

“‘m gonna miss you hajime,” oikawa’s voice came out as a broken whimper, his arms tightening around his shoulders.

iwaizumi hummed instead of responding, too afraid of his voice cracking under the weight of his emotions. they stood there for a moment but the honk of the moving truck outside signaled the both of them of their limited time.

hurriedly, oikawa wiped the tears off his cheeks before waving awkwardly at iwaizumi as he left the room with a friendly, “don’t be a stranger.”

and then he was gone.

toorū finally allowed himself to collapse into sobs on his best friends empty bed, his palms pressing into his eyes as he sat there and just let himself feel.

apparently, he wasn’t crying very quietly because it took only a few moments for you to find him, your soft footsteps alerting him to your presence. oikawa scrambled to wipe away what he knew was an unattractive mixture of tears and snot as you got closer.

you were one of the last people he wanted to see him like this.

“hey,” you whispered, standing a few feet away from him. “um, i know this is probably a bad time but i just wanted to thank you for apologizing? back at the awards show?”

toorū sniffed as he looked up at you with confusion written on his face. “what? you shouldn’t thank me for apologizing. ‘s common courtesy.”

you laughed softly, nodding in agreement. “well, not always. so, thank you.” finished with your piece and not too keen on lingering where you weren’t wanted, you moved towards the door but were swiftly stopped before you got there.

“um, here. it’s from iwa-chan.” you gaped at the thick envelope oikawa was handing you before taking it and opening it, a low curse falling from your lips.

inside the package was a dense wad of cash, more money than you’d seen in months. accompanied with it was a letter, written in beautifully loopy handwriting.

you shut it quickly before oikawa could see, stuffing the envelope deep within your pocket where you could access it alone in the depths of your room.

“do you wanna come eat? last i heard, bokuto and tsumu were doing a cooking competition and i’m sure it’ll be fun to watch.” you were severely thrown off by the money and letter but you were determined to show toorū that you’d accepted his apology and were on your way to making amends.

he gave you a shy nod and trailed behind you to the kitchen, the loud sounds of fire and screaming coming from down the hall. you wanted to focus on the fun and merriment but the envelope was practically burning a hole in your pocket.

later that night, you finally got the chance to open the letter and read it, your former manager’s words bringing tears to your eyes.

dear yn,

i’m probably the last person you expected to hear from. you probably didn’t want to hear from me at all if i’m being honest and i don’t blame you. i know there is nothing i can say that could make up for what i’ve done to you but i’d like to try.

i’m sorry. those words don’t nearly express in and of themselves how truly remorseful i am but they needed to be said. there’s no excuse for how i treated you — not meiko, not my stress, absolutely nothing.

you deserved my common decency and respect and i didn’t give that to you. instead, i abused my position and made your life hell. i’ll never forgive myself for that.

uh, i bet you’re wondering what the money is? i promise i’m not trying to pay you off, it’s just all the money i’ve denied you since you moved here. i have a lot of wrongs to right and this is one of them.

sorry, i’m not very good with words but i just wanted you to know that i’m very sorry for everything that i’ve done. and i’m in no place to make demands or anything but i just wanted to ask if you’d keep an eye on oikawa for me.

he’s strong but he’s also vulnerable. he might be a pain in my ass but he’s my best friend and since i can’t keep him from drowning, i was wondering if you’d do that - not for me but for him.

anyways, this letter is shit but i suppose you get the gist. use the money for whatever you want and if you’re as unselfish as i’ve heard, you don’t owe me anything. you don’t owe me money, kindness, or forgiveness.

Blog Information + Characters

What is this blog?

"askpandaloids" is a vocaloid AU based on the mod's webcomic, which has its blog at @pandapearls ! This is a side blog, and will follow through @askyukayuzu . This blog is run by @pandrena and has dialogue help from @servantparent

What's it about?

Essentially, it's about the vocaloid characters but they're dressed up and act like the characters from my comic. That said, there's no plot to follow, so don't worry about having read the comic first! Just enjoy the nonsense.

This blog has, um...interesting ships...?

I tried my best not to pair up any vocaloids who aren't like. "okay" to be paired up. That is, all canon ages have been checked to the best of my ability before pairing up characters with other ones to avoid child/adult relationships. If a canon age was not given, I figured it was free reign unless the character explicity looked like. Yknow. a child (eg. Rana whose...age is 0 for whatever reason.) As a result, there's a good interesting mix of ships. If I have in fact missed something and there is a child/adult ship that I accidentally made, I will fix it ASAP and change one of the characters being depicted in the AU.

Rin Kagamine = Maria Rennington: Rin is the daughter of Gumi and Mayu, the niece of Miku and Luka, the sister of Len. She’s a funny girl, who’s very chaotic and loves bunnies.

Hatsune Miku = Nori Fuchi: Miku is the grumpy aunt of Len and Rin, the adopted sister of Mayu, and is married to IA. She’s very edgy and emo, unlike our usual Hatsune. She also swears a lot.

GUMI Megpoid = Edgar Rennington: Gumi is the ex-villain and silly genderfluid father/mother of Rin and Len, husband/wife of Mayu. She’s chaotic and comes off a bit of a joke, trying to reform for her past crimes…She’s also blind.

Kamui Gakupo = Rennird Von Garnet: Gakupo is a surgeon who takes part in very morbid operations. No, none of its legal. His assistant is Yukari, whom he also dates along with Avanna. He’s an ex-friend of Gumi and Rin considers him her best friend. He was recently reunited with his little sister Yuki.

Yuzuki Yukari = Runi Von Garnet: Yukari is Gakupo’s assistant. She and Rennird both date Avanna as well, and she has a body that can regenerate anything. She also has a “pouch” that can store organs and objects for Gakupo’s later use.

Avanna = Poku Hallowell: Avanna is a pirate captain, as well as romantically involved with Yukari and Gakupo. They are a satyr and has a lot of fae magic on their side, as well as a love for adventure.

Luka Megurine = Pillowchan: Sister of Gumi, aunt of Len and Rin, lover of Kaito. She loves crab and is kind of the most loyal cat with a human head you’ll ever meet…But she’s also going to sass you.

Kaito = Voice of Reason: Ex-butler to Gumi, boyfriend of Luka. He’s got the ability to control shadows and usually wears a bird mask.

Meiko = Emi Fuki: Meiko is a very “no nonsense” type of woman, and gay as hell. She works at a zoo full time, and is addicted to coffee. Her wife is Galaco..

Len Kagamine = Roy Rennington: Len is an anger-driven individual with an unhealthy relatonship with his father, Gumi,and his emotions in general. He’s very protective of Rin.

Mayu = Emily Fuchi: Mayu is Gumi’s wife and the mother of Rin and Len, and the adopted sister of Miku. She’s sweet, but can be threatening in nature.

IA = Allen Jones (belonging to @servantparent): IA is a puppy with puppy love for Miku. She takes care of basically everyone by cooking and cleaning the house - which she’s experienced with from being Gumi’s previous maid. However, there’s a bit more to IA then there initially appears…

VFLOWER = Static 003: Ex-assistant to Gakupo, ex-cohort of Gumi, and girlfriend of Mirai, V Flower is a confused sort morally, but she’s trying her best.

Mirai Komachi = Jester (belonging to @servantparent): Mirai is the girlfriend of VFlower, and a chaotic force of nature. Carries a Kazoo at all times. Multiple, even. Also, she’s always there to make people happy. Kazoo noises

Fukase = Kem: Fukase is a ferryman, and dear friend of Yukari and Gakupo. Took care of Yuki for some time, with his boyfriend Yohio.

Oliver = Hibo: Essentally penguin themed all around, and pilots a penguin mech, he’s an orphan who’s very angsty.

Kokone = Milly Brontow: Cow-hybrid daughter of Galaco’s old bodyguard. Originally appeared to like Nori, but actually likes Una and is dating her. She is almost entirely mute, with only capabilities of small wordless noises.

Galaco = Princess Moko: Ex-princess, Galaco now lives with her new wife Meiko as the two adjust to a nuts life. She never opens her eyes.

Yohio = Hask: Sort of an adoptive father of Yuki, and boyfriend of Fukase. He never cloes his mouth, only alters his toothy smile to a frown and vise versa. Very sweet, but most people find him scary - his “mask salesman” shtick doesn’t help anything.

Kaai Yuki = Andrea “Andy” Von Garnet: Gakupo’s little sister, who was assumed missing for years. However, she’s actually been under the care of Fukase and Yohio. She’s sweet and shy and loves turtles. She’s also easily sick…

Macne Petit = Urisk: Cute little 10-year-old parasite who harbors a crush on Yuki, and is the source of Gakupo’s tentacle weapon. Calls Gakupo “Boss” a lot, but views him sort of as a parent

DAINA = Cedric Fortwalk: Daina is a shapeshifter, and her current appearance isn’t actually her “true” appearance, because whatever she shifts into has a chance of leaving a permanent feature - this means she’s actually just a mishmash of many different peoples’ appearances. Her brother is Dex, and she hates him.

DEX = Fore Fortwalk: Dex is a monster hunter, and is sort of out to kill Daina for all the crimes she’s commited, too. He’s very honorable, even letting the worst of thieves get away if they merely apologize. Problem is, Daina won’t do that apology game.

MAIKA = Wibkinz (“Kenzie”): Maika is a witch. She enjoys messing with people for her own gain, but isn’t necessarily a wicked witch. She’s just here for whoever can pay her most, but does have a teeny tiny amount of morals…She likes to collect ingredients, and her broom is actually a double barrel shotgun.

CUL = Zasshu: Cul is a head ninja and theb oss of Big Al and Sweet Ann. She’s quiet and reserved, but can be energetic if given the right topics. She fights with a large axe not unlike Len’s.

Big Al = Luther: Big Al is a ninja, and Sweet Ann is his partner in crime. He’s easily exhausted by the chaos around him, but is also determined to reach his goals. He works under Cul.

Sweet Ann = Kuru: Sweet Ann is a ninja, and Big Al’s partner in crime. She’s fashion sensible for the most part, but can go a bit wild with Al’s money. She’s very sweet an energetic, accepting of most anyone. She works under Cul, and crushes on Prima.

Kizuna Akari = Doe(belonging to @servantparent): Akari is half-devil, half-angel, and sarcastically, brutually honest. She basically raised herself, because her parents were busy, and she doesn’t show much emotion…But does seem to harbor a crush on Rin! 

UNI = Aceline(belonging to @servantparent): Professional dancer and Kokone’s girlfriend, Uni is friendly to most everyone. However, she finds it hard to trust others and is wary towards men.

Luo Tianyi = Nomikomu (“Komu”): Tianyi is a ninja like Sweet Ann and Big Al, and also works under Cul. She’s shark themed, with a fin on her head, but interestingly enough, she’s also known as “Smoke Shark,” due to the smoke constantly protruding from her mouth. The source of this smoke is unknown, it just is. 

Hiyama Kiyoteru = Robert: Kiyoteru is a co-worker of Meiko, and hates Miku for uh. Literally tearing off his arm a while back, resulting in him obtaining a gun arm. He’s flirty, and can be stubborn.

Nekomura Iroha = Lila Kitty: Pretty much cat. She’s childish and playful, and gullible to boot. She wants to be a journalist, and her hat is actually a robot, with the paws “sentient” through artificial intelligence.

Prima = Egoha: Prima is the object of Sweet Ann’s affection, and works as a model as well as a mechanic. She’s friends with Oliver, and likes spending money on frivolous things. Her ahoge, that big strand of hair? She can control that.
