The other day I was looking through Mario movie stuff (A.k.a how I spend most of my free time) and I came across this!

It’s more of a size chart but we still kinda get an idea of how tall everyone is in the movie….so yeah!

Okay, the height difference between Mario and Peach has me convinced that Mario is definitely shorter than 5'1 in this universe. I added a red line here to represent how tall Mario would actually be without his hat:

If each line represented one foot, Mario would be about 5'4, but if that were the case Princess Peach would be 7 feet tall, and Bowser would be almost 12 feet tall (if we're including his shell.)

It is commonly believed that Princess Peach is 6 foot. So, If we recalculate accordingly... that would mean that each line represents roughly 10.3 inches. Based on this assumption, I present to you the new canon heights of the Mario cast:

There's several fan works floating around with the concept of Bowser going into a nesting mode in certain circumstances (heat, mate/kids in danger, spells, triggers, etc...) and gathering his kids + loved ones in the nest and not letting anyone out as long as he's in a feral, not quite sentient state.

I love this concept from the bottom of my heart but also hear me out :

Bowser gathering his kids (logical), Peach (makes sense as well), Luigi (raises some eyebrows but it's not like he's a threat) AND Mario (????) inside the nest.

Everyone is very confused about that last one and no one will ever let Bowser live it down.

Anyway, this leads to the weirdest sleepover the entire gang ever had to endure.

Many heavy snorers were exposed that day.

Some thoughts on Bowser & Luigi

One of my fav things about the bowuigi ship is it has something for everyone.

Just an example of a few things it can offer:

Enemies to Lovers

Monster Fuckers

Royal x Commoner

Comedic moments of Mario absolutely gobsmacked seeing his brother be lovey dovey and making out with the enemy

Peach gets a break from being kidnapped

Size difference

Single dad trying to balance family and love life

and if anything else it gave us this moment

Funny how Bowser is personally responsible for the very last thing he wanted to happen in this movie: Peach and Mario bonding. Peach wanted to defend her kingdom, and Mario just wanted his brother back. Bowser was the impending threat to the Mushroom Kingdom and was holding Luigi to get to Mario. You've only got yourself to blame, Koopa Stoopa.

I don't have much else to add to this. You pretty much summed it up.

One of my favorite things about the Mario movie Bowuigi scene is the small possibility of someone recreating that said scene, but change it to where Luigi is interrogating Bowser.

How would Luigi react to his brother and Bowser swapping bodies?

I imagine that Luigi would be very distraught when he would find out, although his own helplessness and inability to help would also have him feeling quite guilty. :(

But even with Bowser's best initial attempt to blend in, I like to think that he would be the first person to immediately know something is very wrong with "Mario". He wouldn't be able to explain why, but he would sense it in a split second. No hesitation whatsoever.

He would know, without a shadow of doubt, that this isn't his brother.

He would also be the one to seek out "Bowser" first, despite his fear and his overwhelming anxiety. Something, again, would tell him to. And the same way he would have somehow known about the impostor pretending to be the Kingdom's hero, he would instantly recognize Mario in that big scaly monster's body. 💞
