Funny how Bowser is personally responsible for the very last thing he wanted to happen in this movie: Peach and Mario bonding. Peach wanted to defend her kingdom, and Mario just wanted his brother back. Bowser was the impending threat to the Mushroom Kingdom and was holding Luigi to get to Mario. You've only got yourself to blame, Koopa Stoopa.

Hey Piano!

The other day I was looking through Mario movie stuff (A.k.a how I spend most of my free time) and I came across this!

It’s more of a size chart but we still kinda get an idea of how tall everyone is in the movie….so yeah!

Okay, the height difference between Mario and Peach has me convinced that Mario is definitely shorter than 5'1 in this universe. I added a red line here to represent how tall Mario would actually be without his hat:

If each line represented one foot, Mario would be about 5'4, but if that were the case Princess Peach would be 7 feet tall, and Bowser would be almost 12 feet tall (if we're including his shell.)

It is commonly believed that Princess Peach is 6 foot. So, If we recalculate accordingly... that would mean that each line represents roughly 10.3 inches. Based on this assumption, I present to you the new canon heights of the Mario cast:

decided to rewatch the ending of super mario galaxy for Fic Research Reasons and i don't know if it's because i'm focusing on background details or if its because its a little past my bedtime or what but this entire cutscene had me crying laughing. i forgot how hard this goes!

but also the part where Mario catches Peach is fucking hilarious mainly because of Bowser Junior in the background. Like. Mario sees him first, tumbling like 30 feet above the airship, and then he looks at said airship, and then he sees Peach. And then he catches Peach, and they're twirling around all cute and shit and meanwhile Junior just careens past them toward that really big lava planet thing and they don't even look at him. Iconic. I was literally going frame by frame in absolute hysterics i don't know why this got me so bad XD What the fuck even happened to that airship for gravity to suddenly act upon it like that??? Did taking the last grand star inadvertently deactivate something important??? Honestly, this unanswered question is gonna haunt me for a while, lmaooo

and then i know its been a while since i'd watched the cutscene but also i didnt realize the giant black hole fucking obliterated the rest of the airships oh my god??? and the Comet Observatory??? Not Peach's Castle though. That one gets to stay intact the whole way down :) whoever built it should be proud~

anyway yeah i'm losing my mind but for all the wrong reasons weh ^^;

I made a humanoid version of Bowser awhile ago and played around with the idea of inserting Bowuigi into Shrek 2. Here I expanded on that idea.

Also update on my wrist: Good news is that it's not carpal tunnel! Bad news is that it's most likely tendonitis. I've had x-rays done and have an ultrasound booked for it but I can't get in till July. I've got pain killers and a more heavy duty wrist brace i have to wear at night. My wrist is slowly starting to feel better!

I did draw these comic panels with my right hand but I took lots of breaks and wore my wrist brace while doing it.
