first ran over to ds penske with my andre cutout to see jev (was nervous out of mind) .. jev wasn't in a great mood after quali but he still signed over andre's crotch (after deliberating for a few seconds) and offered a small smile

beelined for mahindra right after and while in line one of the formula e cameramen saw my andre cutout and was like "lotterer?" and i was like YEAH!! he filmed me but i have no idea what they did w that footage

NYCK IS THE NICEST KINDEST SWEETEST DRIVER OF ALL TIME. i was telling him how proud i was of his first points + quali result and how i was manifesting that he would get points this weekend .. he was smiling so big the whole time and said smth along the lines of "ah its all thanks to u" (i genuinely blanked out and didnt remember) SHJKFDHK

i also told nyck that all his indo fans were cheering him on (for my friend dee valmontheights) and HE LOOKED SO HAPPY .. my day peaked after my interaction w him, i was in love w him before but i love him even more now

Hugo Boss did a design competition to celebrate their partnership with McLaren and different artists made different designs for the Quali days. They're so beautiful 🥹🥹 Why can't they do anything fun like that now???? I digress, I went through all the Qualis and compiled pics of all of them!!

I'm not gonna screenshot it bc 1/it really doesn't matter that much and 2/the person who made the comment is a kid but: a while ago I made a comic that's supposed to be a genuine study and reinterpretation of someone else's sprite comic (made in the spirit of authenticity too - to recreate the vibes of the sprite comics from that era, iirc very specifically because it's funny) and I got a comment on that comic's post that's like "glow up"

which is a compliment obvs. and the commenter probably didn't mean anything by it, it's a common expression. but I've been trying to find a way to gracefully put that comment away ever since it appeared lol

I just very much don't want my art to be taken as trying to one-up someone else's art when that's not the piece's intention. especially when the piece that inspired my art is perceived as "low effort" or "shitpost" or stuff like that. I did mention in the tags of that post that my considering it a study is entirely genuine, and I can legitimately write pages about the cool stuff I find in it other than and inherent in the haha funneys, but that's not for you guys that's for me. I just think that approaching art competition-first like that is a miserable way to do it, and (tipping into overthinking here if the whole tiny-comment-got-stuck-in-my-brain-for-almost-a-month part hasn't given that away yet lol) I really don't want that to be the takeaway from my own art. at least generally. if I actually think the source material is trash and what I'm doing is genuinely categorically better I'd just come out and say it lmao

got an earlier bus this time so had time to get some ramen beforehand (yum)

we've lost a player bc he cant make the sessions due to work, and another player got the dates mixed up and arrived late but otherwise he still got a fair chunk of playtime

we did a whole nother dungeon in this session, our dm is/has run this beginner campaign a few times and apparently we were the first crew to approach it in reverse (which was honestly way easier? rip to those other parties lmao)

i almost died and did an absolutely massive amount of damage during our last fight and dealt the final blow >:) this shit is like drugs man it felt so good

next session our party is going to enter a pig hurling contest :D

also apparently there are other one shot sessions going to be run at the cafe before our next session so i may go along to some of those too
