I know it is trying to be emotionally resonate and the flute is pretty but...#It really does have the energy of “Okay thanks for listening to my tragedies and traumas. I don't know how to segue out of this.”#This madam lan design is inspired by Qourmet's design! Really good stuff that I was not able to do more with in this one panel.#Speaking of...I know it is ambiguous on purpose and we are only told what happened through LXC's POV but...#I always interpreted madam lan's passing as a suicide. I think LXC was told it was illness to soften the blow.#She was stuck in a house with maybe a servant coming by to give her food. One day a month she saw her children.#Of course she was warm and loving in their memories-#She was trying to give them a version of her that would be remembered as such. She wanted to protect them from the truth.#She did her best but she was already dead a long time ago. She must have felt like a ghost haunting a house.#Love to her was waiting. And both her boys inherited that view of love.

if tai is guarding the crown of choice i'm not even expecting him to fight cinder or anything, quite the opposite; this is the same man who said that instead of tackling an obstacle by going through it, why not find a way around it:

"but if you just take a second look, then maybe you see... ("perhaps there was something that you just weren't seeing?" - maria) there's a way around as well. come on—one more before dinner."

like at this point he might as well go "are you hungry? i'm already making dinner so would you want to eat something?" he keeps cooking for multiple people even tho no one else is at home bc he's so used to it and now he's just like please somebody eat this food. like he knows who cinder is but by gods will he play dumb just so he has some company other than zwei for dinner.

(and cinder gets to eat a home-cooked meal for probably the first time in her life. i need this to happen okay, hunger is her thing, let her eat!!)

Despite my exhaustion, I managed to do dishes, feed the cats, and bake up all the leftover chocolate crinkle cookie dough so it won't go bad

#been planning this xmas party w my friends for a month #my mom got super into and we’re cooking a bunch of food for it #well we talked about what movie to watch and a couple of friends said the shining #didnt wanna watch that #thats not a christmad movie #but i was under the impression we never agreed to a movie #so i bring it up three weeks later #and my friend gets pissed at me for changing the movie #when we never agreed to one in the first place #like it’s my fucking party i think i should have some say #so we finally agree to home alone #and i think everything is fine #then i get a text today #saying we need to start at 10 instead of 11 #because one of my friends #has to fucking work tomorrow at 3 #i start crashing out #bc this shit has been making me so anxious #and this just made it worse #i want to cancel the party but i cant #my mom already spent a bunch of moneh #they want to fit in a 3 hour board game and im like #when are we gonna have fucking time for that #jesus #so i’m pissed at two of my friends #my best friend has apologized to me for them #love him so much thanks pookie #anyway #been cleaning the house to prepare for these stupid idiots #i don’t think i’m ever hosting anything ever again
