This is based on a tweet I made about single dad lance and teacher Keith that kinda blew up :)

googled matt's age for a fic and found out there isn't an official number, just that he's around 20-21 or a 2-3 years older than keith.

this resulted in what if they were the same age/keith was a couple years older?

matt and keith, roommates at the garrison. an absolute nightmare to all faculty except matt hasn't requested to switch rooms like keith's past six roommates, so at least there's a silver lining.

it's the two of them that get adam and shiro to stop pining over each other like idiots and actually get together. it's the four of them that end up forming what consists of the garrison's headache and also ace pilots (except for matt, who is ace engineer.)

matt and shiro still take the kerberos mission. they're still captured. but when shiro crash-lands on earth, it's not keith + lance, hunk, pidge who find him, but keith and adam, and it's adam who pilots the lion onto planet arus.

Voltron Coraline AU but I make it 10x worse than anyone else can(by that I mean by having it be really confusing)

Adam is the Beldam but instead of being a creature who feeds on the souls of children, he's trying to try and replace his family. Before Adam was trapped on the other side of the small door, he was murdered by a friend before having his body hidden in the small space.

This causes his husbands and his son to think he just up and left for some reason. They have an idea, in this AU Adam is dealing with horrible mental health so they assume he disappeared due to his mental health getting the best of him. His husbands wait for him to return until their last breath, his son also waits but not for as long.

So when Alluras family move in, Adam finds someone to help him replace his missing family. That someone being Allura and her two fathers. It's a slow process but Adam manages to get Allura through the door so he could try to get her fathers trapped with him.

It follows the movie but instead of the cat helping Allura, it's Adam's son and husbands. They leave behind letters and hints for her to easily find. All of the letters and hints allude to Adam being freed from that place. Allura doesn't know how she'll do that but she has to if she wants her fathers back.

I cannot stop thinking about that Voltron Legendary Disappointment post you made. You're so real for those takes.

Why is calling Allura "space mom" racist though I'm confused by that part. It always felt a bit weird to me so I never really interacted with the people who called her that back when I was super into this show in 2018.

first of all bear in mind that i'm a white person, so i am not really the deciding voice on this one, but imo allura being the "space mom" kind of swerves into the stereotype where black women are nurturing motherly figures (the "mammy" stereotype specifically). and while allura IS a kind caring person, i personally have never gotten any maternal vibes from her. she's not a motherly figure, she's a teenager who has been forced to take a leadership role in a war. putting her on the pedestal of "space mom" takes away from the fact that she's not an adult. too often her trauma is ignored by canon and fanon, and portraying her as an adult whose primary role is to take care of the kids only does that even more. not to mention the racist undertones of actively changing a character to make her fit a racist stereotype

They'd been fighting the Galra as they usually did when it happened. They were being overwhelmed and growing tired, so Allura opened a wormhole to get them to a safer galaxy.

Apparently, one of the cruisers they were fighting had a Druid on board, and had corrupted their wormhole. Again.

"Shiro!" Pidge called out, frantic as she lost all control of Green and thrown out of the wormhole. Yellow followed, and all Shiro heard of Hunk before his comms cut out was his screaming.

"What do we do?" Lance said, just as frantically as Pidge. Blue and Red were thrown out as well, so Shiro didn't have time to reply.

Black was also thrown out of the wormhole, right into the atmosphere of a planet that he didn't know anything about. Desperately, he tried to gain control of Black, but she wasn't responding.

They crashed into trees which were, for some reason, blue. Shiro didn't have time to think of the scientific reasons behind it, because he was busy trying not to get a serious injury.

When everything stopped moving, he opened his eyes and started to move his body, bit by bit. Nothing was broken as far as he could tell, so that was good. He'd definitely have bruising and maybe a concussion, but he was rather lucky that nothing was broken.

"Guys? Are you there? Allura? Lance? Keith?" No reply. Sighing, Shiro got out of his seat and climbed out of Black.

The forest was dense, and there were so many sounds. It was spooky, being there alone. Shuddering, Shiro decided to get started on a camp. The others would come soon enough. He just had to wait.

So he walked through the forest, taking note of his surroundings so that he would be able to make it back to Black when he was done doing... Whatever it was he was doing.

Because he didn't know why, but he felt as if something was off. It was so strong, that he had to investigate.

The answer to his question came soon enough when he saw a Galra base hidden under the canopy of trees. The black of the metal and harsh purple of the lights made the place stand out like a sore thumb.

He went in, managing to bypass the guards outside. Carefully, he made his way to what he assumed was the control room. Making sure that no one was there, he went up to the console and put his Galra arm on it, downloading the information for Pidge to look through once he was back at the castle.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" One of the facility personnel asked. Shiro barely thought. He ran at them and pinned them to the wall, hand glowing dangerously.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I won't-"

"Tell me or it's your life," he threatened. He pushed back the memories of the gladiator pit, grounding himself in the present.

"We- we're working on an experiment here."

"Tell me about this experiment," Shiro ordered. The Galra eyed his arm, still glowing purple and dangerous, before replying.

"We're working on a secret experiment that Zarkon doesn't know about. We want to surprise him with a weapon, but unfortunately the weapon has to be grown from a baby for the experiment to work."

"Do you have a baby?" Shiro asked, voice deadly.

"Y-yes. Project Altn-251."

He had enough.

The Galra slid to the floor, neck sliced open.

He allowed for himself to turn off his mind, to go berserk on the Galra scientists. His body acted on instinct born from being forced to fight to survive, hand glowing purple.

He came back to himself, he was covered in blood. He swayed on his feet for a few moments, before going and finding the bathroom. He scrubbed off the blood, scrubbing his Galra arm as if it were the one he was born with.

When he was done, he took some deep breaths and went to find where the test subject, Altn-251, the Galra had called it, lived.

It was fairly easy to. He placed his hand on the scanner and opened the door. He walked into the room, unsurprised when he saw a crib. He walked up to it and looked inside.

i've been talking abt my voltron playlists and @iveofficiallygonemad asked to hear them and i want to share with anybody who wants!! i know they're not perfect, i'm working on them & trying to make them better. if you have any recommendations for any of them, let me know!! there's like A Lot and i want to give a lil explanation for most of them, so i'm putting them under the cut ^-^

SO first i have my favorite one <3 it's just. all of them. it's the whole team. it's a mess and it's a bunch of different genres because it's them fighting over the aux cord on a road trip. it's them trying to make each other laugh or annoy each other or play something catchy enough it will infect everyone in the vicinity with brain worms.

Hunk: i'm pretty happy with my Hunk playlist! chill vibes. he strikes me as the kind of guy who listens to calm music to try to find his own calm, and that's what i got here :)

Pidge: this is messier and less cohesive than my usual playlist because frankly i think pidge would have a shit taste in music. all over the board. this is a mix of meme songs and 8-bit covers and vocaloid and stuff that i think pidge would genuinely connect with, and i think pidge listens to all their music on shuffle without any regards for genre or mood because they're a gremlin. nobody gives pidge sole control of the aux.

Coran hears 80's music for the first time and loses his mind. He thinks ABBA is humanity's single greatest achievement.

Lance: i have ideas about where I'm going with this but haven't really settled yet. Lance seems like the kind of boy that loves to dance (is that canon? i forgot) so most of these are Bops That Make You Move in some way or another. he likes to present an upbeat face to the world, so there's no angsting in this playlist! we are clinging to the things that make us happy with both hands until our knuckles turn white!

Keith: i'm gonna be honest. i made him a playlist but i honestly don't think he cares about music very much. it's very important to some people! he's just not one of them! i haven't cracked this playlist open in a while but i'm pretty sure it's full of songs that i think he would conceivably train/work out to.

Shiro: this playlist involves the dumbest headcanon i have for shiro that has just not left me alone since i first thought of it. most of the playlist reflects the fact that he had an emo phase in middle school (that one isn't a headcanon, you just have to look at him to know) but BUT there are a few songs on here that are on here because. little known fact. he also went through a Twilight phase that he told nobody about. (keith knows. keith was there.) he has the entire twilight soundtrack memorized. he moved past the story but the music stays forever. he used to daydream about slow dancing to Flightless Bird, American Mouth. the first time Coran mentions that they have to avoid a place because there's a supermassive black hole there, he has to bite his tongue in order to keep a straight face. do NOT ask me why i believe this so wholeheartedly.

Allura's playlist sucks right now. I think it's because in my heart of hearts i know that, were she on earth today, she would go fucking nuts for taylor swift. i have ambivalent feelings for taylor swift. i cannot do allura justice like this. if you see my vision and have recs as to what might actually fit her, PLEASE.

Klance: i haven't done it yet but i'm gonna go through this and sort it to be a sort of progression of their relationship, starting with the more combative Rivalry songs, then slipping into "oh shit oh shit" songs, then maybe ending on the more lighthearted purely romantic songs <3

(i have two songs in a shallura playlist which does not at all encapsulate how much i'm obsessed with them. the tiny cop inside my head is just constantly screaming at me that i'm going to get yelled at for liking shallura. i am going to kill the cop inside my head.)

The Balmera were petrified yet living creatures that, if worked with properly, provided crystals used to power ships. The Balmera was the destination of Pidge and her part of the team in their quest to acquire supplies to stop Zarkon.
