I feel like Shiro and his connection with maturity is really underrated, in a lot of ways. This is inspired by a post from @seraphw37 btw, about how Shiro is kinda infantilized by the fandom. Personally, I agree. This dude is a grown man. Flesh out his character a little, please.

Like, I personally think his style of flying, when he’s just practicing and there’s no one depending on him, is when he gets to be a little immature. Think the first couple of scenes from Top Gun when Goose and Mav go inverted. It’s when he gets to show off a little, try out something that’s personally fun for him and he doesn’t have to fly for training or a mission. Everything else about him is very strait laced and professional.

It’s also why I love the detail that Adam knew Shiro throughout his time flying in the Garrison, and there’s a photo of the two of them in flight suits. I think the two of them were assigned to the same type of aircraft, or were both in the space flight program, and to unwind they would go a practice together.

From what I’ve seen, the best pilots are the ones that know their aircraft well enough to push it. Since Shiro bonded with the Black Lion so quickly, I think he was the same with the Garrison aircraft. Catch that guy trying stuff that would terrify any other pilot, but he was such a competent pilot that he knew what he was doing.
