Keith going: "calm down. and yes, blasting." is so fucking funny.
a) it is keith of all people telling someone else to calm down
b) he immediatelly follows it up with "yes blasting" which is like the opposite of calm down

New day, new thoughts about Krolia and Keith.
When she left Earth, she hoped to see them again. After years of being a warrior, she finally found out she was able to be kind and sweet. She wanted to stay and raise that child with him. And yet she has to leave, to protect them, to ensure her child would grow.
Turns out her wish is granted: she sees Keith again. But he's involved in the war she so desperately wanted to keep away from him.
And also, he's all grown up. She wanted to be his mom but she missed all the important years of his life. She was never there for him and now he doesn't need her anymore. She wants to hold him close and protect him from everything, but she knows she lost that right the day she got on the shuttle to leave Earth.
Maybe the worst is that even if she was still allowed to be Keith's mother, she's not know what to do.
She wants to be Keith's mother but he stopped needing her years ago.
And maybe the worst is that Keith also wants a mother. He longs to be like any kid with their parents. But Krolia and him are not any parents and he doesn't know how to be her son. He grew up to rely only on himself, it took him a while to accept Shiro and he came with no expectation of a friendship. With Krolia, the blood in his veins feels like an expectation.
After the Quantum Abyss, they know each other but they don't know each other.
It feels like they're both trying to reach a mirage: an idea visible but intangible.
They both want so much but know neither how to give or receive.
Keith watches how Pidge acts with her father.
Krolia looks when Shiro talks to Keith.

Allurance Headcanons
Hrnnnh I made some Klance headcanons so now it's time for me to make Allurance headcanons:
Whenever Lance gets in trouble, Allura will grab him by the back of the neck like a cat
Zero gravity date, Lance is obsessed with the way Allura's hair floats everywhere around her
Some days Allura likes to be shorter than Lance, other days taller
They constantly compare Earth culture and Altean culture, maybe also keep a scoreboard on which aspects (like music, food, etc.) is objectively better
Lance: "So what does quiznak really mean?"
Allura: "It's a...word of profanity, I guess you could say."
Lance: "Oh, okay. On Earth we just say fuck."
Going off my last one, Lance says quiznak a lot while Allura says fuck a lot
Allura uses petnames for Lance but it's like words he's never heard before. Like "beezlin" or smth, and he just goes along with it
When Lance gets his Altean marks, Allura likes to rub her thumbs over them just cause she's so in awe at Lance getting them in the first place

klance piggybacking each other when one is very seriously hurt is all fun and games but consider: lance jumping on keith's back randomly to make him carry him around the castle. keith being on lance's back as they race pidge and hunk in the hallways. carrying each other back to their rooms when one falls asleep in the lounge.

James Griffin Headcanons
Shiro was James's hero growing up, he's the reason that James wanted to be a fighter pilot. So when Shiro went to visit his middle school James was star-struck.
This is why he held so much animosity towards Keith. Because his hero was paying attention to someone who, in his mind, had everything he didn't.
James was an unplanned child, his parents never really paid any mind to him unless they were pushing their unrealistic expectations onto him.
When he joined the Garrison he told his parents that he joined under their biology program instead of the fighter pilot program. When they found out (years later) they disowned him.
James, Ina, and Keith went to the same elementary and middle school. Though they weren't always in the same class.
His parents forced him to learn piano and violin growing up.
He hates nicknames, just call him by his real name.
James used to have a crush on Ina back in middle school; it's a secret he'll take to his grave. Ina knew.
He has Bipolar II, his hypomania episodes consist of racing thoughts, scattered focus, and an increase in impulsivity.
James was actually in a hypomanic state when he made that comment towards Keith.
His depressive episodes are much worse than his hypomanic ones, his longest one was three weeks long. It was after Keith had gotten kicked out of the Garrison.
He is ashamed of his mental illness and keeps it a secret close to his chest. He's afraid of being labeled/seen as “unstable,” and he doesn't want to burden others with his problems.
James has a very strong sense of justice, and this often gets him into trouble.
He and Keith were roommates at the Garrison. They fought consistently for half a year.
After Keith punched James, they both got in trouble (Keith for punching James and James for antagonizing Keith) and had to clean the cafeteria as punishment.
It was the first time Keith and James actually talked to each other as people rather than rivals.
