Update on TMS (the mockingbirds song) and ASFH (all shall fear him)
So, both of these series’ are still here and I’m still writing them, but SAS (safe and sound) is currently my main focus and will be updated the most, TMS and ASFH will still be updated, I’m just not sure how often they will be.
I’m really sorry for how long it’s been taking me for updates, but I promise these haven’t been forgotten, they’re just not being updated as frequently as, one, SAS is, two, as I would like for them to be. If you no longer wish to read if you’re on my taglist for these please lmk, but if you are enjoying it and would still like to read on, there will still be new chapters just not very often :)

hi, first off i really love your art. the h/c and warmth really hit me where i live and your illustration style is fantastic. lately i've been obsessed with the post where an unwell milek thinks geralt will leave him behind. was that an ingrained insecurity, assuming his super-witcher dad wouldn't have time for a sickly human kid?
[MASTERPOST] - Ahh, thank you for the ask! Yes, this scene.. I actually saw this a bit differently! It's not about Milek fearing Geralt will leave him behind, he actually wants him to. They need to find his Pa!! I think he often feels like a burden; Jaskier knows this, but Geralt isn't aware of this yet. Milek just wants to pull his weight, especially with Jaskier. A little sneak peak to their struggles regarding this:
Meanwhile Jaskier continues to struggle with his omega status.

Thinking about Dakota’s backstory again.. thinking about how horrified he must’ve been with Ashe so high in the air, wondering if they’d snap her out of it at the wrong time and he’d miss catching her, not even being able to use himself as a cushion from the ground

but you know! bullet dodged! it's almost enough to put a girl off romance for the rest of the year but heck if I care enough at this point! I've literally run out of emotional energy. the past five months have been such a rollercoaster that I just don't have the energy to keep being upset :-)

So you're telling me that Tolkien was going to write a story about Erinti aka Ilmarë-who we know practically zilch about despite being among the greatest of the maiar-and her likely romance with the Man in the Moon and then he just...didn't write it???

Ode on Paul Cotterell
I can still see them sat down there: the man
and the dog. He and Theo, every evening. Stout
in his hand, he’d key into the thrum of the Drover’s Arms:
Farmer Murray whining at the price of good bull calfs,
A chiming of pint glasses. The man would overcast
His eyes and laze, but his crook-like smile
and the ears laid flat on his heart-dog’s head
Would tell you they were listening: he and Theo.
Theo: the dog in the corner, chin on the barstool. Theo
of the lager-coloured pelt. Theo with the lump
beneath his groin that wouldn’t go away. Until at last
the dog lay trusting on the veterinary’s table
And there was bile instead of bitter flowing
As the anaesthetic pulsed along: the sorrowful needle
and the man, eyes overcast. He and Theo.
Ah, but there’s nothing like a dog for bringing it home to you:
Leading you leashwise into that dark side-street,
Tottering home after closing time.

I really should read Dungeon Meshi whenever I will have free time because
1 eating random stuff because that's what's available but still trying to make it fancy? Absolute mood
And 2 my good old d&d character, Jhimas, would have fit in real good, I think. He was hit with some kind of curse and had grown a second big bitey mouth on his belly and why despair, you know? Can it eat? Yes. It could eat everything apparently. So Jhimas just went and used it as an extra weapon + a mean to get rid of stuff. That town will never find the missing dwarves.
