Hello. I am a Japanese lesbian womyn and I have read "Thornwood".

It was so interesting that I forgot to go to bed. When I realised it was time to go to bed, "I just want to read one more chapter..." I repeated this five times and then finally went to bed.

I've never read a lesbian novel that I enjoyed so much.

I can't tell you how many times Lean and Blake encouraged me. The world, the magic, the worldview of a future where men have long since become extinct, everything was pleasantly enjoyed. I had never seen a work like this before.

I never had a favourite novel at all, but this is the first one. I finally found it after a long search. Thank you so much for writing it.

Can I expect a sequel?

I've been writing a sequel, and then my hard disk died and took everything I wrote with it, and it's really hard to go and re-write it! I had it half done. I'm still constantly developing the story in my head and I'm never over it, I want to write it really badly!

I'm so glad you liked the world where m*n are extinct and women are ruling with magic, I wanted something that reflected how I felt about the future and the nature and our strength and sense of adventure. It means so much to me to know that a japanese woman liked it! I've been enjoying japanese media so much, I feel extremely fulfilled with this information.

Fics where Bingge gets his own Shen Yuan are always a delight, but I do wish more of them let Shen Yuan dote on Bingge’s children!

I’d love a story where Shen Yuan somehow ended up in the role of ‘Head Imperial Tutor’ and became the children’s beloved teacher and fiercest protector.

Whatever harem drama, rebellions, or other nonsense is going on, he observes with only mild interest (plus much internal eye rolling, and maybe a little gushing over Binghe) but if anyone dares target his students he utterly destroys them.

Sometime after the Bingge vs. Bingmei extra (perhaps after Shen Yuan eliminates some threat to the children), Binghe actually notices Shen Yuan and just how closely his behavior mirrors the nice Shizun.

He’s a very gentle and attentive teacher, tailoring lessons to each child’s learning style, comforting them when the drama between their mothers causes them distress, and freely granting affectionate head pats and light fan bops.

Binghe fighting with his own kids for attention from his world’s kind Shizun, while juggling with Shen Yuan’s obliviousness, and the fact he must be careful never to seriously upset the kids (or he will face Shen Yuan’s wrath), just has so much comedy and cuteness potential!

In the end, Bingge not only falls for Shen Yuan, but comes to more fully love and care for his own kiddos too.

My Life as a Queer Refugee: A Story of Struggle, Survival, and Hope

As a queer person, I once believed I could live authentically in my home country. But as I came out, everything changed. What I thought was a community that might support me turned against me, and I found myself in danger, rejected by family, friends, and society. Forced to flee my home to seek safety, I traveled to Kenya hoping for asylum, only to face even more hardship. Now, living in yet another country, I continue to struggle, not only with the trauma of being a refugee but with the daily fight to survive as a queer person.

My journey as a queer refugee has been one of immense pain and loss. When I left my country, I was running from violence—both physical and emotional. In Kenya, I hoped to find protection and safety, but what I encountered was indifference and exclusion. I wasn’t safe there either. Once again, I had to flee, moving to a neighboring country in search of refuge, but the discrimination followed me.

Living as a refugee is already incredibly difficult. The lack of basic necessities—food, medication, housing—is a constant strain. But being queer adds another layer of struggle. I often find myself isolated, marginalized by both the community I seek to integrate with and the very system that is supposed to protect me. There is no safety net, and the fear of violence or rejection is a constant presence in my life.

The systems in place often fail us. Many refugees are denied the support they desperately need, not because they aren’t worthy, but because their identities—especially their queer identities—make them vulnerable to further discrimination. The global refugee system has not yet adequately addressed the unique needs of LGBTQ+ refugees, and this is why the suffering continues.

What’s worse is that it’s not just about the physical survival—it's about the emotional toll it takes. Every day I fight to exist as myself, but too often, the world makes it feel like that’s a fight I can’t win. My story is not unique. There are countless queer refugees who face the same struggles of survival and the constant question: "Where can I go to be safe?"

But there is hope. This struggle is not just mine—it's shared by many, and it’s through awareness and action that we can make a difference. We need to advocate for better protections for queer refugees, for policies that take our unique struggles into account. We need organizations to provide not just shelter, but the mental and emotional support necessary for survival. And we need the wider public to open their hearts, understand our pain, and help us amplify our voices.

Share our stories—let us be heard. The world must understand that queer refugees are not just statistics, but human beings fighting for the right to live openly and safely.

a little confused as to why people are still confused by the agatha all along ending

like “why did Death want Nicky??!!” bro it’s not that she wanted him. it’s literally her job to escort souls to the afterlife, it’s not her job to do the actual killing. she didn’t “chose” him, he was destined to die and she DIDNT want him. she gave him and Agatha 6 years together until she had to take him.

“why did Rio just walk away from Agatha at the end and bury her instead of physically taking her?” because earlier in the episode she promised to walk away and leave her alone when Agatha died.

“why is Agatha still avoiding Death and Nicky?” because she still doesn’t feel like she can face him yet!! Nicky’s last act was stopping Agatha from killing more witches and the moment he died she used the song that they created for fun to lure other witches to their deaths for hundreds of years. Agatha has grown as a character throughout the show but she hasn’t yet grown enough to realize that perhaps killing hundreds of people for power was Not The Right Thing To Do considering she tried to kill the coven the literal day before. she doesn’t feel that she has atoned (or is even willing to atone) for what she’s done to be able to look him in the eye when she dies for good.

“we still don’t know why Agatha killed her coven!” for power. the same reason she killed all of the other covens who were searching for the road.

these were not hidden messages guys. it was very clear.

I’ll see analysis on here of characters which is so interesting and insightful, engaging with the show. I’ll see interviews with writers which work in tandem with these analyses and think, yes, what a rich piece of work to engage with and digest.

And then I’ll come across a post completely misunderstanding a character based on a one-note reading of them which has thousands of likes and feel a despair so bitter and an anger so hot it really makes me question how people watch shows these days.
