fact the first: i made this tweet once
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/92f79c1d9e2e7e9976f59d7b80b40b30/8c3bdaa95f94d9a0-10/s540x810/8c275c32019ad767fea9e52ff389d63469f8034d.jpg)
fact the second: i also once wrote a narumitsu fic in which my challenge was to jam as many fic tropes as possible into one fic (which is here by the way)
conclusion: you could not do this challenge with klapollo because apollo would effectively dodge every romance trope dooming klavier to despair. klavier gets a part time job as a barista to talk to apollo. apollo firmly holds that it is inappropriate to flirt with hospitality staff and skates over all klavier's coy barista/barrister puns which is for the best because it is unclear how this qualifies as flirting anyway. klavier and apollo are caught in a difficult to explain situation. "we're dating," says klavier, putting an arm around apollo, because it is the easiest explanation. "no we aren't," says apollo, removing his arm and explaining the situation perfectly normally. klavier and apollo check into the last available hotel room to investigate a case. there is only one bed. apollo takes the couch. a mark appears on klavier's wrist in the perfect shape of apollo's horns, surely signifying that they are soulmates. apollo earnestly tells klavier to wear more sunscreen and that he should go get a skin check
#klapollo#i mean i could do THIS challenge. how many tropes can apollo effectively limbo under#ace attorney#klavier gavin#apollo justice#rookposting#other trope options: klavier is pregnant and apollo pays alimony. unclear how this started#i abandoned this one because i couldnt figure out how apollo would get klavier pregnant#presumably by sexing him but you can never be sure

Proof that I've internalized my role in the legal field: I'm playing a casual mobile game and keep wanting to object to the legal system's portrayal within the game
#personal#shitpost#the game in question is called love & pies#it's actually a good game! cute lil story would recommend#but. BUT.#it seems like with every new twist in the story i have to go#'wait that's not how alimony works'#'that's not how transfers of property work'#'that's not how... BEING A LAWYER works!'#admittedly i am only really familiar with family law and then only in two states in the usa#and the game is set in some ambiguous setting that can't be the usa#(since the town it's set in apparently got founded 1000 years ago)#(imagine a world where that was the usa. where we actually kept native towns intact and honored their existence)#(instead of committing genocide against the natives in both the mass racial murder and the cultural erasure senses)#(but i digress)#so like. the rules are presumably a little different in this fictional 'appleton' setting#but. some of this just... no.#no jurisdiction out there is gonna work like they show the legal system working#that's just not the way it all functions#also as someone in the field of family law and whose father is a family law attorney#i take almost personal offense to the suggestion in the game that all that matters in family law is $$$#and the side with the better lawyers can make blatantly unfair decisions without guidance#judges are there! and get involved in these cases! and for good reason! did they just forget judges exist?#and even then the whole '$$$ means good lawyers who can do anything' is... not entirely untrue but at least overblown#the story is good in other ways to be clear!#i doubt any of this would bug someone outside the legal field!#and in fact i really like that one of the characters is both a lawyer and a runner#because my dad is both of those things also hehe#but. ughhh. i needed to let this out

Impact of Remarriage on Spousal Support: What Happens Next?
Understanding how remarriage can significantly impact your spousal support in Pennsylvania is crucial. This knowledge empowers you to make informed decisions about your financial future, especially if you're considering how your ex-spouse's new marriage could change the support payments.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f9b51603b34715e5b4b5cd661e4bbf34/5bd2a3809f86c280-a2/s540x810/42a4c2f70f93fba44dde17c9a8df0c72498140dc.jpg)
In Pennsylvania, remarriage often leads to modifying or terminating spousal support. The reasoning is clear: the court may view the remarried spouse's new financial situation as an opportunity to adjust the support obligations. If a new partner financially supports the recipient spouse, the need for spousal support in Pennsylvania could be reduced or even eliminated.
However, it's not always that simple. If remarriage isn't explicitly addressed in your divorce agreement, the court may need to step in and review the situation.
Factors like the new spouse's financial stability, such as their income and assets, the length of the marriage, and the ability of both parties to support themselves play crucial roles in the decision-making process. For instance, if the new spouse has a high income, the court may be more inclined to reduce or terminate spousal support.
Even if remarriage occurs, spousal support in Pennsylvania may continue if the recipient spouse's financial situation hasn't improved. Support payments may still be necessary if the new marriage doesn't provide substantial support or change the financial needs.
Understanding how remarriage affects spousal support can be complex. However, with the right professional advice, you can navigate this issue with confidence, knowing that your rights are protected.
If you're facing changes to your spousal support or need guidance on what comes next, remember that professional advice is always available. Contact Divorce Done Differently. Our team is here to support you, help you steer the process, and prepare you for what lies ahead.

Understanding Alimony Awards: How Alimony and Support Lawyers Can Help
Divorce is a complex and emotionally charged process that involves various legal, financial, and personal considerations. One of the most contentious issues arising during a divorce is the question of alimony or spousal support. Alimony is a financial arrangement that requires one spouse to provide financial support to the other after the dissolution of their marriage. The purpose of alimony is to help the lower-earning spouse maintain a reasonable standard of living post-divorce. This article will explore the intricacies of alimony awards and highlight how alimony and support lawyers can assist divorcing spouses in navigating this challenging aspect of divorce.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ed537b08900084b93c069c26c5a26e05/6c641ee88e3889d1-9d/s540x810/e54815608198e2c1dcac0968fda650f3cb2a189c.jpg)
What is Alimony?
Alimony is a court-ordered financial payment made by one spouse to the other during or after a divorce. The primary objective of alimony is to alleviate the economic disparity between the spouses. It helps ensure that the lower-earning spouse can maintain a lifestyle similar to the one enjoyed during the marriage. Alimony can be temporary or permanent, and depends on the divorce circumstances and the spouses' financial needs.
Factors Influencing Alimony Awards
Several factors influence the court's decision to award alimony, including the payment amount and duration. These factors may vary by jurisdiction but generally include:
Length of the Marriage: Longer marriages are more likely to result in alimony awards, especially if one spouse sacrificed career opportunities for the marriage.
Financial Needs and Resources: The court considers the recipient spouse's financial needs and the paying spouse's ability to provide support.
Standard of Living: The court aims to ensure that both parties can maintain a lifestyle similar to that they enjoyed during the marriage.
Age and Health: The age and health of both spouses can impact the duration and amount of alimony.
Earning Capacity: The court evaluates each spouse's current and future earning potential, considering education, work experience, and employability.
Contributions to the Marriage: Contributions can include financial support, homemaking, child-rearing, and emotional support.
How Alimony and Support Lawyers Can Help
Navigating the complexities of alimony requires a deep understanding of family law and the unique circumstances of each case. Alimony and support lawyers specialize in representing clients in matters related to spousal support. Here are some ways they can assist divorcing spouses:
Legal Expertise and Guidance
Alimony and support lawyers have in-depth knowledge of family law and can provide invaluable legal guidance throughout the divorce process. They can explain the types of alimony, how they apply to your situation, and what to expect in court. This expertise is crucial in ensuring that your rights and interests are protected.
Negotiation and Mediation
Many alimony disputes can be resolved through negotiation or mediation, avoiding a lengthy and costly court battle. Alimony and support lawyers can negotiate on your behalf, striving for a fair and equitable agreement that meets your needs. They can also represent you in mediation sessions, helping to facilitate constructive discussions and reach a mutually acceptable resolution.
Court Representation
If negotiations fail and the case goes to court, having an experienced alimony lawyer is essential. They can present your case effectively, providing compelling arguments and evidence to support your position. A skilled attorney can make a significant difference in the outcome of your case, potentially securing a more favorable alimony award.
Post-Divorce Modifications
Circumstances can change after a divorce, affecting the ability to pay or the need for alimony. Alimony and support lawyers can assist with post-divorce modifications, whether you're seeking to increase, decrease, or terminate alimony payments. They can guide you through the legal process and represent your interests in court.
Alimony is a complex and often contentious aspect of divorce that requires careful consideration, informed choices, and legal expertise. Alimony and support lawyers are vital in helping divorcing spouses navigate this challenging terrain. From providing legal guidance and objective advice to representing clients in negotiations and court, these professionals are essential in securing fair and equitable alimony arrangements.
If you're going through a divorce and facing issues related to alimony, it's crucial to consult with an experienced alimony and support lawyer. Their expertise can help you understand your rights, protect your best interests, and ensure you receive or pay alimony that reflects your situation's realities. By seeking professional legal assistance, you can achieve a more favorable outcome and move forward with confidence and peace of mind.

What is Alimony?
Alimony, also known as spousal support, is a court-ordered payment from one spouse to the other after a divorce. It is meant to provide financial assistance to the lower-earning or non-earning spouse, to help them maintain a similar standard of living they had during the marriage. Alimony can be temporary, rehabilitative, or permanent, depending on the circumstances of the divorce.
The History of Alimony in Florida
Alimony has been a part of Florida's legal system since the late 1800s. During that time, it was mostly awarded to wives who were financially dependent on their husbands. However, in the 1970s, the state's laws surrounding alimony underwent significant changes, and the focus shifted to providing rehabilitative and temporary alimony to help the lower-earning spouse become self-sufficient.
The Factors Considered in Awarding Alimony in Florida
When determining whether to award alimony and the amount to be paid, Florida courts take into consideration various factors. These include:
The length of the marriage
The standard of living established during the marriage
The age and physical and emotional condition of both parties
The financial resources of each party
The earning capacity and educational levels of both parties
The contributions made by each party to the marriage, including homemaking, child-rearing, and supporting the other party's career or education
Any other relevant factors
The Different Types of Alimony in Florida
In Florida, there are four types of alimony that can be awarded:
Bridge-the-gap Alimony: This type of alimony is meant to help the lower-earning spouse transition from being married to being single. It is usually temporary and can be awarded for a maximum of two years.
Rehabilitative Alimony: This type of alimony is awarded to help the lower-earning spouse become self-sufficient. It is typically awarded for a specific period and can be modified or terminated if the receiving spouse fails to meet the agreed-upon conditions.
Durational Alimony: This is a type of alimony that is awarded for a specific period, typically not longer than the length of the marriage. It is usually awarded when permanent alimony is not deemed necessary.
Permanent Alimony: This is a type of alimony that is awarded when the lower-earning spouse is unable to become self-sufficient due to age, illness, or disability. It is usually awarded for an indefinite period and can only be modified or terminated under specific circumstances.
Frequently Asked Questions About Alimony in Florida
Do I have to pay alimony if my ex-spouse remarries?
In Florida, alimony payments automatically end if the receiving spouse gets remarried or enters into a supportive relationship.
Can alimony be modified or terminated?
Yes, alimony can be modified or terminated if there is a significant change in circumstances, such as an increase in the supporting spouse's income or the receiving spouse's ability to become self-sufficient.
