OOOO okay so lsoh
Which production/s do you think have the best Audrey II puppet? Or which one is your favourite?
ooooo this is a good one!!!! also ty for the ask!!!!!! :D
im personally a Massive fan of the original twoey puppets from the very first production, theyre so wonderful!!!! i love its pointy little nose so much, and the og yellow color scheme is fun imo!! makes it feel a little more alien!!!
^^^ audrey ii's creator, marty robinson, with all the puppets he made :]
i think my all-time favorite (besides the movie's obviously. that thing is glorious) is the twoey from AMTSJ's production from 2008. its also a pointy-schnozed twoey (i might have a type) but it has the modern green color scheme and its So impressively made imo. that production's my go-to when i wanna watch the stage version honestly!
^^^^ my favorite clip from the production. heres a link btw hehe
id also like to mention the twoey puppet from the production i saw live recently, sierra rep theater's production! it was one of the most creatively designed puppets ive seen imo, but unfortunately it loses some points for not being able to move very well, didnt seem to be well articulated (also their twoey voice was. uhmmm. imagine someone doing a really really bad robin williams' genie impression.)
it had these iridescent orbs on the top of the head that, to me at least, looked like spider eyes. and i think thats So awesome
and finally, a special shoutout to all the really badly made twoeys out there. the baggy looking ones where its so clearly just a guy in a suit are my favorites. i love live theater So much and theres a special charm to productions that arent as "glamorous" as the big budget ones. peace and love

quick shitty doodles of Marty. I decided to explain his existence as an alien by putting him in the moonrockers so here he is in a Similar Fit. there are sparkly silver combat boots under thar. Also Dook LaRue <3 <3 <3 Make no mistake, I draw them snuggling and shit but irl their dynamic is NOT CUTE Marty is super obsessed with him but hes too starstruck by the rock afire to spark actual conversations with any of the members so he just goes to showbiz and wipes out their prize counter with the amount of tickets he accumulates and sits in the front row so he can stare at center stage. He is the first and only Rolfe fan but will acknowledge that Earl is the cool one in the duo. He knows ALL the words to the rae's shows and buys their records and is generally a freak. Dook is kind of offput by the visible crush he has on him but Mitzi and Billy Bob think its cute and Beach Bear loves to bully him (Dook) about it
#Marty#pizza time posting#doodles#ONCE AGAIN FEEL FREE TO ASK ME MARTY QUESTIONS BUT I WILL BE SHY ABOUT IT#go vote on the poll i posted right before this boy

The Sims 2 - Eurogamer - 7-17-2003
Seven expansion packs later we get the sequel!
Updated on 17 Jul 2003
Like it or not, The Sims is the biggest selling PC game of all time by some margin. It's not a success, it's a bloody phenomenon, and each and every expansion pack gets snapped up faster than chocolate drops dangled over the jaws of a slavering canine.
The Sims 2, then. An excuse to sell you the same game all over again with shinier graphics or a lovingly created sequel that'll drag in the few unbelievers that are still not convinced it's the greatest game ever? A bit of both really.
Eh, when I were a lad, it were all C64s around here
When home videogaming was a very small lad indeed, Activision released a wonderful text/icon based decision-making game called Alter Ego on Commodore 64 disk. Basically you went from the first stages of consciousness in the womb right up to (potentially premature) death, and could be as sickly sweet nice or as much of an unhinged arsehole as you wanted to be and everything in between simply by choosing your response to a series of typical scenarios. It psychologically profiled your 'individual' and really was one of the most compelling videogames experiences ever.
Just like Alter Ego, The Sims 2 lets your computer-generated creations grow from babies to children to adults and then to old age, also developing emotionally, mentally and physically. Apparently your creations will respond according to given situations depending on choices you make during your formative years. EA calls these 'Life's Big Moments' and your 'Life Score' depends on how you negotiate your way through these situations.
Included is the rather splendid 'Create-A-Sim' feature, which, shockingly, lets you customise the facial features to an almost infinite degree. On show at Camp EA were a few examples of how flexible the system is, with the ability to tweak everything, including the size, shape and colour of the eyes, width and length of the nose, hairstyle, and so on. Just to prove the point a pre-made Mr. T clone showed off the potential to tailor your avatar exactly the way you want it.
My disturbing offspring
Rather disturbingly, players can see what their offspring might look like if matched with a particular individual - and with aliens among the basic races available you can conceivably have a family of green-faced afro-sporting offspring running around. Thanks to the sure to-be-hyped-to-death DNA feature, your offspring will not only resemble the parents physically, but also pick up character traits, so if your Sims are a bunch of low life slobs, don't be surprised if the sprogs can't be arsed to tidy up either.
Another key enhancement is the much improved house building tool, which allows players to construct abodes spanning as many as four floors, with curves for the first time and various new objects to deck out your palace/slum exactly the way you want it.
Visually, The Sims 2's engine is a revelation next to the severely ageing original, with vastly improved, detailed character models sporting a pleasing array of incidental animations and individual touches that make the game a far more compelling prospect. Aside from that, the background detail and general style of artwork made even the various stills dotted around the presentation area look like renders rather than mere screenshots.
Don't hit on me!
The Camp EA demo session itself showed off a few typical Sims scenarios, with four teenage Sims (two boys, two girls) of varying levels of attractiveness and social skills. While the ladies man Bernie could charm the pants off both the ladies with his 'flirt' social skill, the slobbish Marty had no chance, hamstrung by his comparatively primitive 'hit on' skill. Similarly, the ladies don't appreciate infidelity - as evidenced by Bernie's dalliance right in front of his previous target resulting in a display of waterworks.
Upstairs in the Jacuzzi, we got to see the same foursome sharing the hot tub Big Brother style, with various examples of how the game allows players to engage in progressively complex activities the more they engage with one another. One such event was the ability to engage in some mock synchronised swimming, while later the use of a gym showed off the ability to spruce up the physical appearance of your Sim, and potentially win the heart of that shallow bint you've had your heart set on.
With the game still some six to eight months away from release, it'll be some time before we get proper hands on with the next blockbusting episode in this ridiculously large selling series [and it'll be muggins here who 'gets' to do it, I'll wager -Tom]. By then, the current relatively high minimum spec of 32MB graphics card and PIII 700 shouldn't be considered too high, especially when you acknowledge just how many expansion packs this will undoubtedly spawn.
Until then, there's another expansion pack to wade through (Makin' Magic) and, of course the more structured console sequel, Bustin' Out. As soon as we get a sniff of playable code, we'll let you know everything there is to know about The Sims 2 and its mutant offspring.

ALIEN STAGE Rules:
1) Guardians can participate with one pet human per season.
2) Victory and defeat are determined by real-time voting.
— ALNST Artbook
ROUND 1
Mizi: 87 — Sua: 86
Total points: 173
ROUND 2
Till: 153 — Acorn: 20
Total points: 173
ROUND 3
Ivan: 90 — Marty: 68*
Total points: 158
*60 in the artbook, probably a typo due to how similar 0 and 8 look
ROUND 4
Luka: ??? — ???: ???
Total points: ???
*Luka set a record for earning the highest score ever recorded in ALNST in this round, so it's somewhere higher than 153.
ROUND 5
Luka: ??? — Mizi: ???
Total points: ???
ROUND 6
Till: 89 — Ivan: 70
Total points: 159
-
//Further Thoughts/Analysis
Highly possible the votes are condensed (for example 100 votes for 1 point on the score). There are absolutely more than 200 people in the audience (see: Round 1) and it would make sense for Alien Stage to open up voting to viewers not physically present.
We know at least Rounds 1-3 occurred on the same day so the fact that Round 1 and Round 2, both making the news, had 173 points each is either a coincidence, or implies that the live audience that day only had enough voters to add up to 173 total points.
Round 4 should have occurred on the same day as Rounds 1-3 but I think it's plausible that they actually held Round 4 on a different day.
If you look at the bracket, Luka should have been Round 2 but they skipped it to broadcast Till's and Ivan's first.
As the previous winner and crowd favorite, we've seen Luka receive privileges from Alien Stage and Anakt Group before, like the stage he was able to use on Round 5 which was a historical site. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him special treatment this time by postponing his Round to a different day for profits, and for the practical fact that no one would be interested in the rounds that came after his due to his popularity.
This would also explain how he's able to break a record in points/votes.
While segyein news outlets commented on Till's overwhelming victory, there was no mention of breaking any records on Alien Stage. So while 153 is impressive and deems him a strong candidate, it isn't that close to the previous record.
If we take 173 as the total possible points on day one, Luka would have likely swept it close to 173 to 0 to one-up Till so badly he broke a record....
I think their special treatment probably only extends to having him perform last, but considering the number 173, I did wonder if that would be enough to break the highest record achieved in the history of the program.
Hence why I'm considering the possibility that it was the audience size he drew on the day he performed that allowed him to gather enough votes to set that accomplishment.
On the other hand, if I'm completely wrong about the condensed vote to points system I'm going to murder the segyein who casted that last vote in Round 1 😊💕

Final week before show week!
Our final few sessions with our group were used for us to practice our performance as a whole with our entire group and to make sure we were all confident in each other while using the wheely board to move Skye around on stage.
Also during these final rehearsals, we took some time to work on our characters and how we wanted them to be seen on stage, we wanted to set out the exact way each character was meant to be.
Skye (Little Mermaid) is meant to be very cocky and almost be a show off so we had to make sure she was emphasizing how much she wanted to have the attention on her instead of others.
Ben (Bigfoot) is very shy and does not want people to see him, but he is not very smart so he keeps doing things to draw attention to himself.
Jan (Alien) was here to take the planet so needs to come across as powerful and demanding when he steps on stage but as the other characters prove him wrong and embarrass him he gets more confused and less powerful.
Myself (Marty the Iceberg) Does not want to be here so he needs to show that, being moody, and acting almost lazy. He is fed up of hearing about this one thing he did wrong a long time ago and shows this by getting physically upset and annoyed whenever people try to judge him for it, he also is not a big fan of humans as they are the reason people can only see him as a bad guy.
Having this set difference between each of these characters helped us develop more storyline for each character in the context of the script, working on these characters also helped us find more comedic points for us to zone in on in the performance as well, for example, the little mermaids dislike for the iceberg, this created little funny moments when iceberg would purposely take the spotlight away from little mermaid just to annoy her. Another example is when Bigfoot mimics Marty when he is complaining about The Titanic it shows that this isn’t the first time that Marty has complained about this.

In the early 1990s, while American gamers were enjoying their Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis consoles, a revolutionary gaming system was making waves in Japan: the FM Towns Marty. Developed by Fujitsu, this cutting-edge console never made its way to the United States, leaving American gamers oblivious to the incredible gaming experiences they were missing out on. The FM Towns computer system was first released by Fujitsu in Japan on February 28, 1989. It was designed as a high-end personal computer with advanced multimedia capabilities, targeting both business and entertainment markets. [caption id="attachment_168521" align="aligncenter" width="1280"] FM Towns[/caption] The FM Towns Marty was released by Fujitsu in Japan on February 20, 1993. It was designed as a multimedia console and computer system, aimed at providing high-quality audio and video capabilities alongside its gaming functions. [caption id="attachment_168520" align="aligncenter" width="2000"] The FM Towns Marty[/caption] The FM Towns Marty and PC not only influenced the gaming industry through their hardware capabilities but also had a significant impact on game development practices. The consoles' CD-ROM technology allowed for larger storage capacity, enabling developers to create games with more extensive content, higher-quality audio, and full-motion video cutscenes. Moreover, the FM Towns Marty and PC attracted the attention of prominent game developers and publishers. Companies like LucasArts, Origin Systems, and Sierra On-Line saw the potential in these consoles and released enhanced versions of their popular titles for the platform. This demonstrated the growing interest in CD-ROM-based gaming and set the stage for future consoles that would heavily rely on this technology. Ahead of Its Time In many ways, the FM Towns Marty and PC were ahead of their time. They offered features and capabilities that were not common in other gaming systems of the era. For example, the Marty's ability to play audio CDs and the PC's support for high-resolution graphics were groundbreaking features that would later become standard in future consoles. Additionally, the FM Towns Marty and PC were among the first systems to offer online gaming capabilities. Through the use of a modem, players could connect to online services and engage in multiplayer gaming, a feature that was still in its infancy at the time. FM Towns Marty Specs The FM Towns Marty boasted impressive specifications for its time. It featured a 32-bit Intel 80386SX CPU running at 16 MHz, coupled with a 32-bit Motorola 68000 CPU at 10 MHz for sound processing. The console had 2 MB of RAM, expandable to 6 MB, and a CD-ROM drive capable of reading discs at double speed. The Marty's graphics were powered by a custom 32-bit RISC chip, allowing for stunning visuals and smooth gameplay. FM Towns Marty Games One of the most remarkable aspects of the FM Towns Marty was its library of games. The console played host to a wide array of titles, ranging from arcade ports to exclusive releases. Some notable games included: Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders: A graphically enhanced version of the classic LucasArts adventure game. Loom: Another LucasArts adventure, featuring beautiful graphics and an enchanting soundtrack. Ultima VI: The False Prophet: The first console port of the legendary RPG series, with improved visuals and sound. Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge: The sequel to the beloved point-and-click adventure, with enhanced audio and visuals. These games, among many others, showcased the FM Towns Marty's capabilities and demonstrated how it pushed the boundaries of console gaming at the time. The FM Towns PC In addition to the Marty console, Fujitsu also released the FM Towns PC, a computer system designed for multimedia and gaming. The FM Towns PC featured similar specifications to the Marty, with a 486 CPU, 4 MB of RAM, and a CD-ROM drive. It also had a custom graphics chip and supported resolutions up to 720x480 with 32,768 colors.
The FM Towns PC had its own library of games, including exclusive titles and enhanced versions of popular releases. Some notable games were: Dungeon Master II: The Legend of Skullkeep: An enhanced version of the dungeon-crawling RPG, with improved graphics and sound. Rayxanber II: A colorful and fast-paced shooter, showcasing the system's graphical capabilities. Senken: A strategy game set in feudal Japan, featuring beautiful artwork and an engaging storyline. These games, along with many others, demonstrated the FM Towns PC's potential as a gaming powerhouse. The Legacy of the FM Towns Marty and PC Although the FM Towns Marty and PC never made their way to the United States, they left a lasting impact on the gaming industry. The consoles showcased the potential of CD-ROM technology and paved the way for future systems like the Sega CD and the PlayStation. Moreover, the FM Towns Marty and PC introduced American gamers to Japanese-style gaming, with their unique genres, art styles, and storytelling techniques. Many of the games that debuted on these systems would later be released in the United States, giving players a taste of what they had missed out on. In conclusion, the FM Towns Marty and PC were revolutionary gaming systems that never got the recognition they deserved in the United States. With their powerful specifications, impressive libraries of games, and innovative features, these consoles could have changed the face of gaming in America. While we may have missed out on these incredible systems, their legacy lives on, reminding us of the constant evolution and innovation in the world of video games. Check out the top 10 games on the FM Towns Marty. 10. Turbo Out Run (1993) - This upgraded version of the quintessential arcade racer introduced a turbo button, vehicle upgrades, and police cars to the series, adding depth and excitement to the gameplay. The objective was to race a Ferrari F40 across the United States, moving from one checkpoint to another while avoiding traffic and other hazards. Dynamic weather conditions and road obstacles like puddles, traffic barriers, and oil slicks kept players on their toes. Despite some graphical downgrades compared to the arcade version, such as missing background details and fewer road hazards, the FM Towns port featured an impressive arranged Red Book audio soundtrack that elevated the gaming experience. 9. Pu-Li-Ru-La (1994) - Developed by Taito, this obscure beat 'em up featured a surreal and illogical world filled with bizarre characters, crude digitized graphics, and unpredictable WTF moments in every stage. The game's premise involved two kids setting out to restore balance to the world after the flow of time was disrupted, giving the developers creative freedom to craft an utterly unique experience. From a digitized woman flapping in the wind like a flag to a background consisting of a half-naked sumo wrestler standing next to a mountain, Pu-Li-Ru-La consistently surprised and confused players with its absurd visuals and illogical stage designs. 8. Splatterhouse (1992) - A side-scrolling beat 'em up inspired by classic horror films, Splatterhouse stood out for its horror-based themes, use of gore, and unforgettable atmosphere. Players took control of a character clearly based on Jason Voorhees, punching, kicking, and using weapons like 2x4s, shotguns, and meat cleavers to battle through waves of enemies. The game kept players engaged with its varied enemy encounters, from zombies emerging from the floor to monsters that needed to be taken down with harpoons. The FM Towns version, with its enhanced visuals and audio, is arguably the best version of the game ever released. 7. Puyo Puyo (1994) - This influential puzzle game featured a robust one-player mode, competitive multiplayer, and combo-centric gameplay that rewarded players and punished opponents. In the single-player campaign, players faced off against 12 computer-controlled opponents,
each with their own personalities and playstyles, with the story progressing through cutscenes. The competitive multiplayer mode was where Puyo Puyo truly shined, allowing players to set off chain reactions and clear multiple groups of blobs simultaneously, sending garbage blobs to their opponent's field. The FM Towns version boasted an amazing jazzy soundtrack that surpassed the arcade version. 6. Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge (1994) - This classic Lucasfilm adventure game, running on the SCUMM engine, featured a witty and humorous storyline, memorable characters, and an amazing soundtrack. The game's point-and-click interface allowed players to interact with the environment and solve puzzles, with multiple difficulty settings catering to different skill levels. While some puzzles could be annoying, they often served as comedic devices, and the game's sense of humor was its strongest asset. The FM Towns version was considered one of the definitive versions, with improved visuals compared to its DOS counterpart. 5. Raiden Densetsu (1991) - A straightforward yet challenging vertically-scrolling shoot 'em up, Raiden Densetsu offered simple but effective visuals, easy-to-track projectiles, and a fantastic soundtrack reminiscent of 1980s action movie montages. Despite its seemingly understated appearance, with normal-looking houses, generic scenery, and modest weaponry, Raiden Densetsu's simplicity made it one of the most playable shooters of its era. The clear distinction between interactive elements and background objects, combined with the game's memorable soundtrack, created an engaging and enjoyable experience for both solo and co-op play. 4. Super Street Fighter II (1994) - The definitive version of Street Fighter II for the FM Towns, offering solid gameplay, 14 difficulty settings, and a unique color customization mode. As the fourth major iteration of the game, Super Street Fighter II featured a diverse roster of 16 characters and was the first game developed on Capcom's CPS-2 arcade board. Despite some graphical downgrades from the arcade version, such as lower resolution, removed parallax scrolling effects, and missing background animations, the FM Towns port provided a faithful gameplay experience. The inclusion of a special six-button controller and an adapter for Capcom's CPS Fighter arcade stick further enhanced the game's appeal. The FM Towns version also featured an arranged soundtrack that was later used in the 3DO port of Super Turbo. 3. Viewpoint (1993) - An isometric shooter with impressive depth, imaginative enemies, and interesting stage gimmicks, Viewpoint captivated players with its unique perspective and surreal imagery. The game's isometric viewpoint created a sense of depth and made the imposing enemies seem even more impressive, from brightly colored insect-like creatures to ships resembling Slinkies. While relatively light on power-ups, the game allowed players to charge their shots and collect various bombs to create walls of fire, blast zones, or homing missiles. The inclusion of levers and gates to break up the action added variety and prevented the game from feeling repetitive. The FM Towns version was the closest to the original Neo Geo release, offering an authentic and challenging experience. 2. Alltynex (1996) - This exclusive vertically-scrolling shooter allowed players to switch between a ship and a mecha, adding an element of strategy not seen in most shooters. The ability to transform into a robot and obliterate bullets with a giant sword was an incredibly satisfying mechanic, providing a fresh take on the genre. While the ship form was weaker, it excelled at long-range attacks with its upgradeable spread shot and secondary homing laser. In contrast, the mecha form was more powerful but required players to get up close and personal with enemies, leaving less time to react to their attacks. Despite its generic setting and storyline, Alltynex's innovative gameplay mechanic made it a standout title on the FM Towns.
1. Tatsujin Ou (1993) - A vertically-scrolling shooter with impressive weapon effects, intelligent enemies, and six large areas guarded by imposing bosses, Tatsujin Ou is probably the best reason to own an FM Towns. As the only home port of the game, the FM Towns version offered players the opportunity to experience the sequel to the famous Tatsujin (known as Truxton outside of Japan) in the comfort of their own homes. The game featured various power-ups to increase speed and firepower, as well as the ability to change the main weapon from a standard canon to a more powerful beam. The bright, persistent lasers and impressive bomb effects, such as skull-shaped explosions, added to the game's visual appeal. What set Tatsujin Ou apart from other shooters was the intelligence of its enemies, which actively swerved to avoid the player's bullets, creating a more engaging and challenging experience. These eight games represent some of the best experiences available on the FM Towns Marty, highlighting the console's technical prowess, innovative features, and ability to deliver captivating gameplay. While the FM Towns Marty may have never reached American shores, these games demonstrate the incredible potential of this unique gaming system.

Has everything in common with Rory
Doesn’t care what anyone has to say about him or their relationship
Pushes Rory to fight for herself
Takes Luke's and Lorelai's feedback into account to be a better boyfriend
Though he didn't make the greatest impression on Emily the first time, he was ready to go back and fix it
Does not get jealous
Does not yell at Rory for being friends with guys
Instead tries to tell her that he doesn't want her to feel like she needs to lie to him or keep secrets from him
Slowly becomes friends with Lane and Hep Alien
Tries to be nicer to Lorelai because Rory asked him too
He "made sure she was okay"
Great hair
"Why did you drop out of Yale" "You should write a book"
Gets his shit together, writes a book and has a steady income by the age of 21 (is the only boyfriend to do this)
Jess- cons
Loving her was not enough for him to stay
Has some deep seated issues that stopped him from trusting anyone
Loses all impulse control when he's emotional
Kyle's bedroom (again, in the grey area of consent)
Asked Rory to go with him to New York after he left her twice
Did not take her to prom
Said "I love you" and ran away
Did NOT know how to be a boyfriend
Could be a bit pretentious
Was rude to Lorelai and Emily
Took his anger out on Rory in Keg!Max!
Didn't tell her he was leaving
Logan- pros
Genuinely loved Rory
Made an effort to get along with Lorelai that actually stuck
Gives Rory a place to stay after Paris kicks her out
Is the only one of the three boyfriends who seems to understand consent (SERIOUSLY the threshold is so low)
Gives brilliant gifts
Knows his authors and books
His and Rory's relationship lasted two years pretty steadily which is good for someone's first try at a relationship
Tries to communicate his problems with Rory
Had the entire adult relationship thing down
Was ready to change for Rory
Gave Rory new experiences such as the LDB
Knows how to have a good time
Gets along well with the Gilmores
Good at high society events
Supported most of Rory's career
Also supported Rory's... non career (aka yacht)
Logan- cons
Did not love Rory enough to support her choosing her career over their marriage
Broke up with Rory at her graduation
Cheated on Rory with his sisters entire bridal procession
Manipulative: twists Rory's words into something they aren't multiple times
Rude to people of lower social class (Marty, Jess)
Also known for getting jealous (Marty, Jess) (Though I would like to add that he was in the right about telling Lucy the truth)
Spoiled
Loses a million dollars in a business deal and then goes to LA to blow off more money
Has too much fun
Is a part of the Huntzberger dynasty
Introduced Rory to the Huntzberger dynasty
Tries to rebel against his dad by constantly flaunting his privilege
Rory forgives Logan for cheating after he jumps off a cliff in Costa Rica and severely harms himself
Supported Rory's non career (yacht)
Gatsby levels of pretentiousness
Doesn't go with Rory to SH events that matter to her (Lane's baby shower, Lane's wedding)
Still acting like a petulant child at his big age of 25
In conclusion, all three of them had a great deal of growing up to do and they all made their mistakes. But they were important for Rory's growth at that stage.
#gilmore girls#rory gilmore#logan Huntzberger#dean forester#jess mariano#lorelai gilmore#deanrory#literati#rogan#maybe a little of my bias shows hmm#this does not mean tristan or marty would've been good boyfriends either#if you have anything to add go for it <3

i absolutely love when characters have intense trans vibes (esp related to alienation from peers and/or complicated or strained family relationships) but aren't Textually Trans. because it always has the most bonkers and delightful worldbuilding implications.
i am thinking here specifically about marty mcfly, with his puffer vest, weird ass best friend, bullies who only refer to him by surname, and (most importantly) involvement in his own circular time loop of self-naming by way of introducing his mom to the name his future trans self will end up with. thematically i enjoy it. but also on the screen it is simply a movie about how his dad is a creep so his mom wants to fuck marty instead. nightmare of a movie. someone should stage oedipus rex with a delorean as the carriage, and also, by corollary, raise the question: Is Oedipus Transgender?

Traveling in time with Marty McFly would include~
(Not my gif)(Requested by anonymous)
(I wrote this as a slight friends to lovers type of scenario so I hope thats okay! Also, this is based on just the first movie so if you’d like certain time periods or something then feel free to request.)
- You’d been working for Doc alongside Marty for a while so of course you’d be invited to help with the DeLoreans send off. Doc was excited, the tapes were rolling; Everything was going great...until it wasn’t.
- The Libyans arrived and ruined everything, forcing you to join Marty inside the DeLorean in an attempt to save your skin. Soon enough the two of you were going through a terrible blast to the past, still mourning your lost friend and scared half to death.
- Fast Forward a little, or rather rewind a lot, and the two of you are sat panicking worse than ever in the front seat of a stylish time machine. You get out of the car as quickly as he does, gazing at the long empty road and the sign that proves you aren’t where you’re supposed to be.
“Hey Marty?”
“Yeah....”
“Do me a favor and pinch me...hard.”
- And so he does, asking that you return the favor once you yelp in pain. The two of you shut your eyes tight, praying that once you open them again you’ll be back home in bed but alas, no luck.
“I don’t think we’re dreaming.” You say, grabbing onto his arm and feeling more helpless than you’ve ever felt before.
“Yeah, I think you’re right.” He responds, his eyes returning to the Lyon Estates sign once more.
- With nothing else to do, you help him stash the DeLorean and start your long journey to town.
- Once you get there, you’re torn between being amazed and horrified. I mean, you’re in the 1950′s! ...But you’re also stuck in the 1950′s.
- You’re sure you look downright insane to the locals, stumbling around like you’re experiencing everything for the first time, but you frankly don’t care. You’re just wondering what you’ll have to do to return home, or if you’ll ever get to return home for that matter.
- The two of you walk into the diner and take your seats at the luncheonette. You end up interrupting and ordering for the two of you yourself, deciding to be merciful to your frazzled friend and not wanting to suffer from anymore secondhand embarrassment.
“What my friend here meant to say was that we’d like two coffee’s, Decaf.”
- Marty rubs a hand down his face and leans his forehead against your shoulder, groaning quietly in “silent” gratitude. You get your coffees, taking a sip just as the door of the diner swings open to reveal the one and only Biff.
- You soon find out that the young man beside you is Marty’s father to which you can only respond with a whispered “Holy Crap McFly, your dads hot.”. Marty still isn’t sure how to feel about it though at the time he just gave you a disturbed look.
- Now it’s at this time that I should mention: Marty has had a pretty big crush on you for a while now. The main reason he hadn’t asked you out yet was because he really didn’t want to lose you as a friend or have to face you every time he visited Doc; in case you did wind up rejecting him.
- The reason I’m telling you this is because after Biff and his friends make fun of Marty’s “life preserver”, he notices the babe sitting beside him. Now Biff wouldn't be Biff if he didn’t try to flirt with a dorks girl so he gives you a line and Marty uses everything within him not to launch himself at the bully.
- He has a silent victory when you just scoff at the boy and turn back to your coffee. Biff gives one of those tough guy, undeterred responses and finishes his threat to George before walking out with his buddies.
- You turn back to Marty, watching awkwardly as he uncomfortably stares down his father. After a minute, you lightly hit his arm and give him a look, trying to make him stop. The two of you have a silent argument, giving each other different facial expressions and mouthing words. You’re both interrupted by Goldie's speech.
- You’re the one to first notice George’s absence, prompting you to pull Marty out of his seat and push him out the doors of the diner.
“You know y/n, you’re really taking this whole time travel thing way too well!”
“That’s because I’ve got you Marty.” He melts.
- You’re sort of just forced to watch from afar as the whole car accident scene unfolds. You spend the rest of the day awkwardly waiting outside the families house with nowhere else to go.
- You have to jog to keep up with him after he runs out of the house. He explains everything to you at a mile a minute, grabbing you by the arm and telling you that it’s really time to find Doc.
~One extremely long conversation about how you’re from the future, the mechanics of time travel, and other interesting tidbits later~
- Marty and you get dressed up in 50′s wear, which he finds particularly adorable on you, and head over to the school. You quickly come across his father and without even thinking, you storm up to him, ripping the sign off his back and standing up to the jerks who were tormenting him.
- In theory, your actions are harmless but they proved to have a much bigger effect than you intended. George thanks you, commenting shyly how nobodies ever stood up for him before to which you respond that nobody deserves to be treated that way.
“You’re beautiful.... I-I mean, you’re heart is! Not that you aren’t! You’re very attractive, it’s just... What I mean to say is that you’re very nice.” Shit.
- It became increasingly obvious that George was now infatuated with you. You’d just royally screwed up, and all because you wanted to be a decent person.
- As Marty whisked George away, neither of you could ignore the fact that the boy was trying to look back at you as he was being pulled.
- When Marty attempted to introduce his parents to each other he found that it was completely in vain. His mother hardly even noticed his father and his father didn’t even seem to mind all that much. Why? Because he was too busy sneaking glances at you.
“Oh dear. We certainly have a predicament on our hands.” Doc muttered once you all joined back with each other.
“Great job y/n. You made my dad fall in love with you in what? Two minutes?” Marty quipped sarcastically. Not that he could really blame his father, he was sure he would have fallen for you even quicker. Well now you had to think of a plan, and fast.
- Lunchtime came and you were sure you had the perfect excuse to let the boy down easy, getting him and Lorraine together in the process. You and Marty made your way to the boys table, sitting down and greeting the nervous boy who looked ecstatic to see you.
- George greeted you back, saying how he was hoping he’d see you again and how he wanted to thank you by taking you out for a milkshake or something. This was your chance. You opened your mouth and...
“Actually George, you see, we’re kind of dating. You know, going steady.” Your mouth snapped shut, eyes widening as you turned to look at Marty.
“Oh....” George replied somewhat dejected.
- You quickly jumped in, saying how you knew he had a thing for Lorraine and how you wanted to help them get together. He tried to deny it before he shyly asked you what you had in mind.
- You try to give him some dating advice but he quickly decides that it would never work. After all, how’s he supposed to win over Lorraine’s affection when she’s obsessed with “Calvin”.
- You help Marty dress up as “Darth Vader” all the while seriously questioning his sanity and how he thinks it’s a good idea.
- He gives you this smug, prideful look when George approaches you the next day, rambling about how an alien told him he has to ask Lorraine out. You just smack him on the arm and start to try and coach his father.
- Marty somewhat argues with you on what his father should do, giving George the typical male dating advice while you give him the more sensible “what females actually want” advice.
- You sit back with him while George goes to talk with Lorraine, giving him puppy dog eyes while asking to get a good old fashioned malt.
“You know it’s seriously unfair when you do that to me.” He says, digging into his pockets. The kiss on the cheek you give him is worth the trouble.
- Sitting back and watching things go South after he messes with Biff. You realize that things are only going to get worse between him, his mother and his father if you don’t do something so once he’s finished with his getaway, you run over and lay one on him.
- You’re hoping that once Lorraine sees him with “his girlfriend” she’ll realize he’s off limits and be more open to getting with George. It does seem to somewhat work but it certainly makes things between you and your friend a bit awkward.
- You can’t help but think about how you actually enjoyed that kiss and how he seemed to just as much. You pull away from him awkwardly, whispering an apology to him while he shyly reassures you that it’s fine.
- The dance is your last chance to get Marty’s parents back together so you really have to be at the top of your game. Lorraine obviously doesn’t have a date so Marty uses his influence with her to persuade her to double date with him, you and George.
- The plan will go as planned, Marty will convince her to come out to the car with him, “force himself on her” and George will come to her rescue. Except before Marty can even think about going through with the plan, Biff comes in and Marty gets locked in the trunk.
- Long story short, George punches Biff, woos Lorraine and Marty performs on stage before saying goodbye to his parents. You and Marty have a tough final goodbye with Doc and successfully make it into the future, or rather, where you’re from. Doc gets shot, again, but this time he’s equipped with a bulletproof vest and survives, much to your (ecstatic) surprise.
- He drops you and Marty off at the boys house, saying goodbye before departing into the future. Marty, whose arm had been around your shoulder as you watched, turned you around and confessed that he’s liked you for a very long time. You admit that you like him too and the two of you lean in for your first kiss as an actual item.
- You walk home that night happier than ever and in the morning you meet up with him so that the two of you can have a well deserved relaxing day together. Well, that was what you were planning on doing before Doc showed up to whisk you away for another time travel adventure.
- You and Marty share a look before getting into the DeLorean, eager yet scared to see what’s in store for you.

You get me-
Honestly Luka is definitely the biggest deciding factor in this scenario. He's the hardest one to get rid of for Final Round Mizi vs Sua to happen.
The easiest solution is to just say that he doesn't participate in Season 50, which would actually make sense for this AU because that would theoretically change up the initial match-ups.
But figuring out how to deal with Luka is a challenge... and I can't say no to a good challenge.
Here's my first shot at the idea:
Details under the cut
Round 1 — Mizi vs Acorn
Placed Mizi first because I think we definitely need a round where she performs before knowing everything
There's something unique about her singing that only exists under those circumstances, and that something will inevitably be lost after facing the horrors of Alnst
It would be a pity to to miss out on it just bc she saw the other rounds first
Also Acorn because I think it would be fun to pit love rivals against each other
Mizi and Acorn face off and on a skill level, Mizi has much more charisma on stage
Mizi was oblivious to his feelings for Sua before this but through performing together, notices and empathizes because she too loves Sua
But when it comes to loving Sua, she refuses to allow anyone to beat her
Acorn loses
Ofc when he's eliminated (read: killed), Mizi is shakened
Round 2 — Marty vs Sua
Mizi is wracked with worry as Sua takes the stage, but Sua sends her a comforting smile
I chose Marty because they have some overlap with Ivan in terms of general vibe/direction of their image as a performer
This in turn means they actually provide an interesting contrast with Sua on stage
I personally see Sua as similar in skill level as Ivan; that along with her existing fan population means the odds are stacked against Marty
Marty loses
Mizi is relieved. The second death is still horrible to watch, but she focuses on the relief of Sua safely winning her round
Round 3 — Ivan vs Durian
For similar reasons as the Marty vs Sua matchup
To no surprise, Ivan wins
Round 4 — Luka vs Till
I made a whole post about why I think Till lost in Round 7
But Round 2 Till did exactly what Round 7 Till didn't, and I think the conditions are right for him to pull the same move in this version of Round 4
Till overrides the bgm of the original song with Freddie and belts out UTTE
Honestly this could be the closest Luka ever gets to losing on Alien Stage
1) Till had been pretty subdued in the preliminaries previously so no one, not even Luka would have known he'd pull something like this
2) because it's Till's original song, Luka wouldn't know it
3) Till has a freakin guitar to overpower the og music
But those "imagine every scenario possible" trainings weren't for nothing
After a stumble, Luka regains his footing
He quickly catches on to the music, and uses the shortest time possible to learn the beat and grasp the general feel of the lyrics
The key point here is that I think Luka's violin would have been prepared for this stage considering Till is bringing his guitar; just to match and parallel each other on the stage
So before they could reach the second half of UTTE, Luka pulls out his violin (prob a segyein too haha) and with a single note, jams the rhythm Till was riding
Luka starts challenging Till through his violin; Till's competative spirit and anger for being interrupted starts to rise
They play back and forth aggressively, alternating between playing (in Luka's case) and singing
Luka gives an incredible display of skill — improvising lyrics as he sings; lyrics that thematically play off of UTTE's original lyrics while also challenging them
This further emphasizes the back and forth rhythm between he and Till, thoroughly decimating the one-sided flow Till had created at the beginning
At this point Luka has seized full control of the performance
Till loses
Till can only look on helplessly, as if his mind hasn't even fully caught up with what had just happened, as he's shot
Mizi is devastated, Sua looks away
Ivan watches it all with unblinking eyes
Round 5 — Ivan vs Luka
This turned out to be a twisted, warped parallel to Round 6:
It starts out calm enough
Ivan and Luka begin their performance
Luka provokes Ivan throughout the song with digs at the falsity of the life they both he lives
Luka weaves a narrative of the rise and fall of Ivan, who burned fast and bright — but will soon to be proven not bright enough
Yet in the end Ivan merely smiles, unshaken; because none of that really mattered
Luka has persisted in tugging at his strings this way and that all throughout the performance in an attempt to make him lose his cool
So Ivan shows him what he's like when he loses his cool, and snaps
Not because of Luka's provocations, but because he's stopped holding back all of the raw fury, loss, helplessness, torment, misery, and violence that had been brewing in him since watching Till's end in Round 4.
Ivan knew there was little chance from the start of him generating enough points to defeat Luka and proceed
So he decides to fully commit to satiating the maelstrom of sordid emotions within him
Ivan seizes Luka throat and strangles him to death on stage, his grip refusing to ease even after their bodies hit the floor
//considering how long it took for them to intercede when Mizi attacked Luka, and Ivan attacked Till in the og rounds, I think Ivan would've had the chance to succeed
//there's also a small aspect of Ivan knowing he can't beat Luka so he may as well take him down with him for Sua and Mizi's sake, but while I think that could be part of his reason when deliberating before the match, in the actual moment I think his actions would only be fueled by pure self-satisfaction and vengeance for Till
Round 6/Final Round — Mizi vs Sua
It's My Clematis of course
Mizi isn't doing so well. All of her friends whom she grew up with and see as family have just died horrifically in front of her one by one. Only she and Sua are left
She may be standing on this stage right now just like she and Sua have always dreamed of, but it's with the knowledge that if they don't succeed, if they truly don't become the first in all of Alnst history to tie, one of them will die
But they have no choice anymore, nowhere to back away to. Mizi stands there with trembling legs
Sua takes Mizi's hand in hers
Mizi looks at her and finds strength in that warmth. She gathers her courage — for Till and Ivan, for everyone else who died on Alien Stage, for Sua, for their dream — and sings
This rendition of My Clematis isn't filled with light as the original was, it is one haunted with the undertones of what they've seen and done to reach this place
But it is also filled with pained love and a prayer for their loved ones, including the hope for the other standing on the stage to live
They don't tie
Mizi sees the final score and her heart drops from her chest
She throws herself in front of Sua
And that's all I've got!
-
No matter how much I mulled things over, I can't imagine how any of the cast would be able to defeat Luka in a straight on fight, short of the wild card of Luka's heart issues acting up.
But narratively there's no way to integrate that — for it to just randomly happen without any trigger or reason is kinda meh. Sabotaging him somehow (ex. messing with his meds) is an option but none of the Season 50 contestants have the resources or access to him that would be needed for that plan, and honestly even for the most likely character to do so, Ivan, it isn't necessarily his style.
So the only answer I could come to is straightup murder on the stage ☆
I'm not 100% satisfied with this version because there are some plot holes and ideally Mizi and Sua would be in totally opposite brackets, but maybe I'll take another crack at it eventually.
I want an AU where Mizi and Sua meet in the final round instead
#this actually turned out way better than i thought#alnst alternative stages#alnst au#alnst mizi#alnst sua#alnst till#alnst ivan#alnst luka#alnst acorn#alnst marty#alnst durian#theres a lot of ways final round mizi vs sua could go#just choosing one of them for this version
