Ok so currently writing a MartyxX oneshot about meeting manatees and have this stupid thought.

X is absolutely a shit swimmer and he probably doesn’t have lots stamina and movement in the water.

So Marty decides to give the Blue boy swimming lessons so he won’t sink like a rock. It’s a sight to behold to see Megaman X wearing the most silliest floaties known to man, struggling to do a doggie paddle in the water while the fucking pirate queen is coaching him. Marty teaching her lessons seriously often teases him in the most affectionate way possible. She makes sure that X can maneuver water without looking like a fool. S

She often turns it into a series of challenges to see how far he can go.

Hey it’s cheating that you already are a flipping mermaid but hey it’s a good motivator at least-

When X gets exhausted from the lessons, Marty would carry him back to land to allow him to rest up cause fuck who knew dealing with water more or less the sea can be brutal.

After a lesson seeing how worn out he was, Marty offers him to ride on her back to get back to the ship quicker.

At first X was bashful about it, he’s not being used to be carried around more or less in the water. He didn’t want to drag her down, but Marty insists that she can deal with it. He reluctantly accepts the offer. Surprisingly Marty swam quickly despite X holding her on.

“Do I weigh anything to you mar?”

“Nah it’s like carrying a couple of rubies, besides think of as returning the favor”

“O-oh I see…it strangely feels nice”

Since then it became sort of a favorite dating activity for them, when doing underwater dates.

Since then X has gained a new level of respect for marine type reploids who have to deal with this and Marty.

There were embarrassing moments on those lessons like the one time the blue hunter was literally washed away from a wave crash. Or one of his tests she pushed him off the ship to swim back (with a life vest of course).

X always has something stuck from the sea, even after the clean ups he does. Cause no matter how much time you take to clean off Beach/Ocean shit, you find some shit there take it from my experience-

One time he literally coughed out a starfish in front of Zero, in a middle of a conversation. They remained quiet on their way to command, Signas has so many questions about the starfish being stuck on Zero’s chest and X is dying on the inside, it was an eventful Tuesday.

Despite the many struggles that the blue hunter had on those lessons, his swimming ability has since improved thanks to Marty’s lessons. Something that he is eternity grateful for…he plans to teach Marty something that he enjoys but he’s unsure what is yet…
