OOOO okay so lsoh
Which production/s do you think have the best Audrey II puppet? Or which one is your favourite?
ooooo this is a good one!!!! also ty for the ask!!!!!! :D
im personally a Massive fan of the original twoey puppets from the very first production, theyre so wonderful!!!! i love its pointy little nose so much, and the og yellow color scheme is fun imo!! makes it feel a little more alien!!!

^^^ audrey ii's creator, marty robinson, with all the puppets he made :]
i think my all-time favorite (besides the movie's obviously. that thing is glorious) is the twoey from AMTSJ's production from 2008. its also a pointy-schnozed twoey (i might have a type) but it has the modern green color scheme and its So impressively made imo. that production's my go-to when i wanna watch the stage version honestly!
^^^^ my favorite clip from the production. heres a link btw hehe
id also like to mention the twoey puppet from the production i saw live recently, sierra rep theater's production! it was one of the most creatively designed puppets ive seen imo, but unfortunately it loses some points for not being able to move very well, didnt seem to be well articulated (also their twoey voice was. uhmmm. imagine someone doing a really really bad robin williams' genie impression.)

it had these iridescent orbs on the top of the head that, to me at least, looked like spider eyes. and i think thats So awesome
and finally, a special shoutout to all the really badly made twoeys out there. the baggy looking ones where its so clearly just a guy in a suit are my favorites. i love live theater So much and theres a special charm to productions that arent as "glamorous" as the big budget ones. peace and love

You seem really into Sonic, but you've occasionally referenced other media what other things besides Sonic are you a fan of? movies, shows, games, whatever.
I'm the sort of person who doesn't stick to one thing really; right now I'm really into Sonic, but if nothing keeps the momentum of my interest going, I might switch to something else until something cool Sonic-related comes out.
As for what other things I like in terms of shows, I've always had a love for Western cartoons. Anime and other Eastern media are great too, but stuff like Invader Zim, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and various other Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon shows made my childhood. I'm also a big fan of horror. Silent Hill also, for some reason, was part of my childhood. I got in trouble in kindergarten for drawing Pyramid Head. The school was concerned why a child was drawing a knife-wielding monster, but my tiny brain was like, "Cool big sexy buff man who kills people," so I just naturally wanted to draw him.
As for games, I have a much more varied taste in games, as video games are my personal favorite form of media. Something about the art form fascinates me; I love how games can tell stories in ways no other media can due to the more personal and interactive means at which the consumer approaches the story. Sonic is among my favorite franchises; it caught me at a young age, going over to my friend's house and playing Sonic Adventure 2 on his GameCube and playing the Tails mech stages because something about them enraptured my young mind. But I also love The Elder Scrolls, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim; they are all games I adore, put tons of hours into, and love learning about the lore of. And despite the fact games like Mario and Sonic were part of my childhood earlier than Halo was, I believe Halo to be the franchise that truly got me into gaming. It was the first franchise that really got me into learning about the lore and the world, and everything about it just captivated me beyond "Funny Green Man shoots alien until they die. and isn't afraid of anything."
Edit: I fucking hate that Marty O'Donnell (Halo's original composer and sound designer) ended up being transphobic. This guy who made some of my favorite music ever thinks a group of people shouldn't have the right to express their true selves.
FUCK!

quick shitty doodles of Marty. I decided to explain his existence as an alien by putting him in the moonrockers so here he is in a Similar Fit. there are sparkly silver combat boots under thar. Also Dook LaRue <3 <3 <3 Make no mistake, I draw them snuggling and shit but irl their dynamic is NOT CUTE Marty is super obsessed with him but hes too starstruck by the rock afire to spark actual conversations with any of the members so he just goes to showbiz and wipes out their prize counter with the amount of tickets he accumulates and sits in the front row so he can stare at center stage. He is the first and only Rolfe fan but will acknowledge that Earl is the cool one in the duo. He knows ALL the words to the rae's shows and buys their records and is generally a freak. Dook is kind of offput by the visible crush he has on him but Mitzi and Billy Bob think its cute and Beach Bear loves to bully him (Dook) about it
#Marty#pizza time posting#doodles#ONCE AGAIN FEEL FREE TO ASK ME MARTY QUESTIONS BUT I WILL BE SHY ABOUT IT#go vote on the poll i posted right before this boy

The Sims 2 - Eurogamer - 7-17-2003
Seven expansion packs later we get the sequel!
Updated on 17 Jul 2003
Like it or not, The Sims is the biggest selling PC game of all time by some margin. It's not a success, it's a bloody phenomenon, and each and every expansion pack gets snapped up faster than chocolate drops dangled over the jaws of a slavering canine.
The Sims 2, then. An excuse to sell you the same game all over again with shinier graphics or a lovingly created sequel that'll drag in the few unbelievers that are still not convinced it's the greatest game ever? A bit of both really.
Eh, when I were a lad, it were all C64s around here

When home videogaming was a very small lad indeed, Activision released a wonderful text/icon based decision-making game called Alter Ego on Commodore 64 disk. Basically you went from the first stages of consciousness in the womb right up to (potentially premature) death, and could be as sickly sweet nice or as much of an unhinged arsehole as you wanted to be and everything in between simply by choosing your response to a series of typical scenarios. It psychologically profiled your 'individual' and really was one of the most compelling videogames experiences ever.
Just like Alter Ego, The Sims 2 lets your computer-generated creations grow from babies to children to adults and then to old age, also developing emotionally, mentally and physically. Apparently your creations will respond according to given situations depending on choices you make during your formative years. EA calls these 'Life's Big Moments' and your 'Life Score' depends on how you negotiate your way through these situations.
Included is the rather splendid 'Create-A-Sim' feature, which, shockingly, lets you customise the facial features to an almost infinite degree. On show at Camp EA were a few examples of how flexible the system is, with the ability to tweak everything, including the size, shape and colour of the eyes, width and length of the nose, hairstyle, and so on. Just to prove the point a pre-made Mr. T clone showed off the potential to tailor your avatar exactly the way you want it.
My disturbing offspring

Rather disturbingly, players can see what their offspring might look like if matched with a particular individual - and with aliens among the basic races available you can conceivably have a family of green-faced afro-sporting offspring running around. Thanks to the sure to-be-hyped-to-death DNA feature, your offspring will not only resemble the parents physically, but also pick up character traits, so if your Sims are a bunch of low life slobs, don't be surprised if the sprogs can't be arsed to tidy up either.
Another key enhancement is the much improved house building tool, which allows players to construct abodes spanning as many as four floors, with curves for the first time and various new objects to deck out your palace/slum exactly the way you want it.
Visually, The Sims 2's engine is a revelation next to the severely ageing original, with vastly improved, detailed character models sporting a pleasing array of incidental animations and individual touches that make the game a far more compelling prospect. Aside from that, the background detail and general style of artwork made even the various stills dotted around the presentation area look like renders rather than mere screenshots.
Don't hit on me!

The Camp EA demo session itself showed off a few typical Sims scenarios, with four teenage Sims (two boys, two girls) of varying levels of attractiveness and social skills. While the ladies man Bernie could charm the pants off both the ladies with his 'flirt' social skill, the slobbish Marty had no chance, hamstrung by his comparatively primitive 'hit on' skill. Similarly, the ladies don't appreciate infidelity - as evidenced by Bernie's dalliance right in front of his previous target resulting in a display of waterworks.
Upstairs in the Jacuzzi, we got to see the same foursome sharing the hot tub Big Brother style, with various examples of how the game allows players to engage in progressively complex activities the more they engage with one another. One such event was the ability to engage in some mock synchronised swimming, while later the use of a gym showed off the ability to spruce up the physical appearance of your Sim, and potentially win the heart of that shallow bint you've had your heart set on.
With the game still some six to eight months away from release, it'll be some time before we get proper hands on with the next blockbusting episode in this ridiculously large selling series [and it'll be muggins here who 'gets' to do it, I'll wager -Tom]. By then, the current relatively high minimum spec of 32MB graphics card and PIII 700 shouldn't be considered too high, especially when you acknowledge just how many expansion packs this will undoubtedly spawn.
Until then, there's another expansion pack to wade through (Makin' Magic) and, of course the more structured console sequel, Bustin' Out. As soon as we get a sniff of playable code, we'll let you know everything there is to know about The Sims 2 and its mutant offspring.

ALIEN STAGE Rules:
1) Guardians can participate with one pet human per season.
2) Victory and defeat are determined by real-time voting.
— ALNST Artbook
ROUND 1
Mizi: 87 — Sua: 86
Total points: 173
ROUND 2
Till: 153 — Acorn: 20
Total points: 173
ROUND 3
Ivan: 90 — Marty: 68*
Total points: 158
*60 in the artbook, probably a typo due to how similar 0 and 8 look
ROUND 4
Luka: ??? — ???: ???
Total points: ???
*Luka set a record for earning the highest score ever recorded in ALNST in this round, so it's somewhere higher than 153.
ROUND 5
Luka: ??? — Mizi: ???
Total points: ???
ROUND 6
Till: 89 — Ivan: 70
Total points: 159
-
//Further Thoughts/Analysis
Highly possible the votes are condensed (for example 100 votes for 1 point on the score). There are absolutely more than 200 people in the audience (see: Round 1) and it would make sense for Alien Stage to open up voting to viewers not physically present.
We know at least Rounds 1-3 occurred on the same day so the fact that Round 1 and Round 2, both making the news, had 173 points each is either a coincidence, or implies that the live audience that day only had enough voters to add up to 173 total points.

Round 4 should have occurred on the same day as Rounds 1-3 but I think it's plausible that they actually held Round 4 on a different day.
If you look at the bracket, Luka should have been Round 2 but they skipped it to broadcast Till's and Ivan's first.
As the previous winner and crowd favorite, we've seen Luka receive privileges from Alien Stage and Anakt Group before, like the stage he was able to use on Round 5 which was a historical site. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him special treatment this time by postponing his Round to a different day for profits, and for the practical fact that no one would be interested in the rounds that came after his due to his popularity.
This would also explain how he's able to break a record in points/votes.
While segyein news outlets commented on Till's overwhelming victory, there was no mention of breaking any records on Alien Stage. So while 153 is impressive and deems him a strong candidate, it isn't that close to the previous record.
If we take 173 as the total possible points on day one, Luka would have likely swept it close to 173 to 0 to one-up Till so badly he broke a record....
I think their special treatment probably only extends to having him perform last, but considering the number 173, I did wonder if that would be enough to break the highest record achieved in the history of the program.
Hence why I'm considering the possibility that it was the audience size he drew on the day he performed that allowed him to gather enough votes to set that accomplishment.
On the other hand, if I'm completely wrong about the condensed vote to points system I'm going to murder the segyein who casted that last vote in Round 1 😊💕
