things I love about my AIW AU (since I keep posting about it bc I'm obsessed) (also this is mainly taken from my favorite adaptation, Wildhorn's Wonderland the Musical)

- Ally's (this world's Alice) personality. She's just this sweet little girl with schizophrenia and neglectful parents. She's so cute. Plus, when I see a new AIW adaptation, I don't prefer the Alice who's having a great time in Wonderland over the Alice whose attitude is 😐. The entire time Ally is being told to do this and that by different people she's just "will doing this make the stupid rabbit hole open up"

- Morris the March Hare and Wright the White Rabbit are brothers. This makes sense because...yes. The White Rabbit is an ex-servant of the Queen's who was promoted into being the fourth of Wonderland's politicians. The March Hare is the Mad Hatter's faithful right-hand-man who is very afraid of her and very in love with her. They are siblings.

- The Mad Hatter's personal little head canons. She cracks her knuckles/pops her fingers when she's nervous, experiences extremely gory and grotesque hallucinations as a result of mercury poisoning, does not mind swearing around the child, occasionally forgets that she has an actual plan for how to get rid of Ally and just sneaks up behind her about to snap her neck. Also one time I asked my friend "if I was making an AU version of the Mad Hatter what weird thing would she do" and she said "she would be addicted to having clean hands and Purell sanitizer because she doesn't have clean hands in the metaphorical sense" and that's the most passive-aggressive headcanon ever

(WARNING: the Mad Hatter and Ally are not alter egos in this version. Ally is just a descendant of Alice Liddell who fell down a rabbit hole and the Mad Hatter is just an adult woman who hates her fucking Hello Kitty guts)

Just finished watching Wynonna Earp: Vengeance, so here are my first impressions (spoiler alert, folks!):

Overall plot is underwhelming for a movie; felt more like a long episode as opposed to a movie.

Mercedes’s death was unnecessary. There are so many other ways Mina could’ve drawn Wynonna back to Purgatory.

I don’t understand why Wynonna and Doc never went to get Alice. Was it not supposedly safe to do so post-season 4? And why were they going around gambling??

Glad to see that Kat’s and Dom’s (and in turn, Nicole’s and Waverly’s) chemistry has remained intact, but the whole Nicole-holding-Waverly-back felt a bit off. Nicole has always put Waverly first, so if for some reason Waverly has ‘stayed back’, it’s not because of Nicole.

Waverly’s character in the movie seems inconsistent to her usual bubbly nature in the show.

Waverly speaking French was kinda sexy, ngl.

The movie did not have enough Peacemaker-wielding i.e. the power that makes Wynonna Earp, Wynonna Earp. Other than with Paco, we didn’t really see Peacemaker light up again…

Cannot say I’m surprised that Doc dies. We can all say it was unnecessary but imo, a happy ending without any death would’ve been too predictable and there was no way they would’ve killed off the titular character or one of Nicole or Waverly ‘cause this show has always praises itself on not killing off the gays (remember Nicole’s bulletproof vest?). But I will say that his death could’ve been better depicted.

Following on from point 9, Doc’s funeral was… unemotional? Brief? Sidelined? All of the above? I expected it to be more of a milestone.
