Regarding Peacemaker (sorry for typing “pacemaker” in the original post btw. Autocorrect lol. I’ll correct it now): I see your point and I agree. I suppose I just enjoy seeing Peacemaker glow cz every time it does, it means Wynonna has defeated another villain :)
Regarding Doc’s death: I guess I expected it more emotional or dramatic? Or at least, if not his actual death, then at least his funeral. I think the funeral was a good opportunity to pull on people’s heartstrings; and have all core characters there, not just Wynonna and Jeremy. Surely they would’ve attended and would’ve been balling their eyes out. Just like the writers would not have brushed over a birth, a wedding and other such milestones, I guess expected the same for Doc’s funeral, if that makes sense.
Just finished watching Wynonna Earp: Vengeance, so here are my first impressions (spoiler alert, folks!):
Overall plot is underwhelming for a movie; felt more like a long episode as opposed to a movie.
Mercedes’s death was unnecessary. There are so many other ways Mina could’ve drawn Wynonna back to Purgatory.
I don’t understand why Wynonna and Doc never went to get Alice. Was it not supposedly safe to do so post-season 4? And why were they going around gambling??
Glad to see that Kat’s and Dom’s (and in turn, Nicole’s and Waverly’s) chemistry has remained intact, but the whole Nicole-holding-Waverly-back felt a bit off. Nicole has always put Waverly first, so if for some reason Waverly has ‘stayed back’, it’s not because of Nicole.
Nicole’s Stetson is 🫶🏻
Waverly’s character in the movie seems inconsistent to her usual bubbly nature in the show.
Waverly speaking French was kinda sexy, ngl.
The movie did not have enough Pacemaker-wielding i.e. the power that makes Wynonna Earp, Wynonna Earp. Other than with Paco, we didn’t really see Pacemaker light up again…
Cannot say I’m surprised that Doc dies. We can all say it was unnecessary but imo, a happy ending without any death would’ve been too predictable and there was no way they would’ve killed off the titular character or one of Nicole or Waverly ‘cause this show has always praises itself on not killing off the gays (remember Nicole’s bulletproof vest?). But I will say that his death could’ve been better depicted.
Following on from point 9, Doc’s funeral was… unemotional? Brief? Sidelined? All of the above? I expected it to be more of a milestone.

Someone ‘liked’ this post of mine and I’ll admit I had forgotten I wrote it lol. But 2.5 years later and I still stand by everything I wrote here. And frankly I don’t think I’ll ever get over the last 5 minutes of Killing Eve. Ever.
I don’t know know about you guys, but the whole ‘it’s up to the audience’s interpretation’ excuse is poor, lazy and frankly cowardly.
Were Villanelle and Eve gal pals, frenemies or lovers? Up to the audience.
Who really killed Kenny? Up to the audience.
Who killed Villanelle? Up to the audience.
Why did Carolyn have Villanelle killed? Up to the audience.
Was Carolyn’s plan all along to use Villanelle to kill the Twelve and then have her killed to re-establish herself in the eyes of MI6? Up to the audience.
Who are the Twelve and are they really gone? Up to the audience.
Was Carolyn ever truly part of the Twelve? Up to the audience.
What did Konstantin’s letter to Carolyn say? Up to the audience.
Does Villanelle’s attempt to save Eve reflect her growth as a character? Up to the audience.
Could Domestic!Villaneve ever work? Up to the audience.
Was Eve’s scream a scream of triumph and rebirth or a scream of desperation and grief? Up to the audience.
Will Eve ever be the same again after witnessing the love of her life shot to death? Up to the audience.
The audience has been interpreting the show for 4 years and now we’re being told that our interpretations are wrong and pointless ‘cause it’s ‘just a fictional tv show’.
