🌼 Is there an official confession scene between the two of them?

I guess that depends on what version

For Broadway(which is the one I think about the most), it wasn’t really a confession and more Gato asking Hernan out through text. So no real confession

For pre Broadway and NYU, yeah. Especially because those Gatos were already dating Caterpillar so he had to like double confess to both Caterpillar about it and then Hernan. For pre broadway, Gato brought Hernan to like a cliff at night and got food and drinks trying to pass it off as a normal hangout before telling him. For NYU, I think it was more casual. Just going somewhere private to tell him

Idk about Japan, Hamburg, and Austria. I would imagine it’s less confessing and more asking out

But the takeaway is that Gato is always the one to initiate

Gato learns that Hernan has a special interest in Alice in Wonderland. He hasn’t told him that he’s from Wonderland so he needs to look calm as to not bring any suspicion of the fact that maybe Wonderland is real

He asks him who’s his favorite

“It’s probably gonna be Hatter or the Queen or Rabbit or smth” he says even if he wishes it was the Cheshire Cat but he doubts it as it’s not really important in Wonderland

He lights up when it turns out that Hernan’s favorite is indeed the Cheshire Cat

After they both tell each other that they are Wonderlandians, for sure Gato teases Hernan for his favorite being the Cheshire Cat
