I was originally gonna do smth and then I realized our first date was literally in a fair where Gato won a sea otter plushie for me so I obviously had to draw that. As you can see he was very proud of himself

This one needs context

Ok so the Gato illustrated here is my redesign of Austria Gato cause I did not like the Everything About Him. And in my brain, Austria takes form of an RPG and during the first Act, it’s centered around puzzles with a little fighting. Everyone in Alice’s party has unique abilities that help them solve various puzzles but if they ever get stuck, Gato will call his husband(Hernan) and asks if he knows the answer. He’ll either give the answer right away or will give you another hint. So that’s what this is depicting

Gonna try and do f/obruary cause the prompts are really cute. Anyways this is Rabbit delivering all the love letters that Gato has written. I would imagine he would write two a day to get the amount you see in the picture.

Don’t mind Rabbit, he doesn’t really get a lot of romance stuff jfjdnfndndn

🌼 Is there an official confession scene between the two of them?

I guess that depends on what version

For Broadway(which is the one I think about the most), it wasn’t really a confession and more Gato asking Hernan out through text. So no real confession

For pre Broadway and NYU, yeah. Especially because those Gatos were already dating Caterpillar so he had to like double confess to both Caterpillar about it and then Hernan. For pre broadway, Gato brought Hernan to like a cliff at night and got food and drinks trying to pass it off as a normal hangout before telling him. For NYU, I think it was more casual. Just going somewhere private to tell him

Idk about Japan, Hamburg, and Austria. I would imagine it’s less confessing and more asking out

But the takeaway is that Gato is always the one to initiate

Gato learns that Hernan has a special interest in Alice in Wonderland. He hasn’t told him that he’s from Wonderland so he needs to look calm as to not bring any suspicion of the fact that maybe Wonderland is real

He asks him who’s his favorite

“It’s probably gonna be Hatter or the Queen or Rabbit or smth” he says even if he wishes it was the Cheshire Cat but he doubts it as it’s not really important in Wonderland

He lights up when it turns out that Hernan’s favorite is indeed the Cheshire Cat

After they both tell each other that they are Wonderlandians, for sure Gato teases Hernan for his favorite being the Cheshire Cat
