Steve learning how to make alcohol free versions of Tony’s favorite desserts the first Christmas he’s sober. Tony loved Loved LOVED the tiramisu at his favorite Italian restaurant in Manhattan but they used Amaretto in theirs, he grew up on traditional Black Forest cake but the the kirsch liquor is a no go.

They may not be intoxicating at the amounts in the baked good but the taste and smell and just knowing it’s there it’s… the cold and the snow and the memories of his upcoming 1 year sober anniversary and what’s one more irritant this time of year full of parties and wine and mulled ciders? He just won’t indulge in booze OR dessert like he used to let himself previous holiday seasons it’s FINE.

So Steve learn how to not only make versions of those desserts, he learns how to make them just as good really, he just has to consult with the professional bakers and pastry chefs that make Tony’s favourite versions (not counting the ones Jarvis made because those are his fav by default of course). The chefs are happy to help! They would have made inclusive version for Tony anytime but Tony is still have trouble asking for exceptions for his sobriety so they’ll wait for him to ask them but for now they are thrilled to let Steve serve him their treats by proxy

Oooh, I love this! It's so sweet, and this is the kind of thing that I think newly sober people do struggle with, so it makes perfect sense. And the idea of Steve struggling to learn to back, probably with chocolate smeared along one cheekbone and flour down his front, probably poking his tongue out like he does when he's really concentrating on his art, is just so sweet! I imagine he really screws up the first too - baking is difficult and precise, you know? They don't rise, or he burns them, or something. But Steve being Steve, he's nothing if not persistent, and keeps at it until he's mastered it, and is proud to offer his desserts to Tony!

Something about how Haymitch continues to drink. That he never ‘fully’ recovers, even though there are plenty of opportunities through and after the series when his access to alcohol is cut off. Something about him perhaps seeing the act as pointless because the damage to his body has been done, but being content with the time he has left.

Something about Haymitch being able to care about people again; allowing himself to care about Katniss and Peeta and not having to fear losing them or anyone else ever again. That he finds a hobby, a constructive and meaningful way to spend his time that not only reminds him of Lenore Dove, but was prompted by the people he has around him. That he finally feels safe enough to open up about and remember everyone who was taken over the years. That he’s able to heal some through this.

Something about how Haymitch’s pain doesn’t go away, but he’s able to find peace with it through these practices and people, and is able to forgive himself and feel forgiven by those he lost.

A drunken Gaz is a sleepy Gaz, and drunk Gaz is tied with drunk Ghost in the clingly koala department. Drunk Gaz can't really sleep without you in his arms, darling, and so when you're in the bed, he's holding you like his life depends on it, your face is buried in his glorious chest, and he'll kiss the top of your head and sleepily murmur how much he loves you, darling. Also tends to think the house is haunted for some reason, so he's holding on to you to protect you? Thanks, Kyle...

Drunk Soap is the mad lad who excitedly tells everyone you said yes to going on a date with him even though you two have been together for a minute. May or may not have started a fight brawl or two with another bar patron for drunkenly hitting on you; the one who'll also take you away snickering while everyone else is still fighting because lmao. Drunk Soap goes to sleep thinking you're in his arms but it's always the dog who’s snoring in his face.

Drunk Ghost is in love with you. Pathetically in love with you. Down bad. So mushy it's disgusting. And cute. Disgustingly cute. Lets his guard down like the Cap'n, and all you see in those dark eyes is you. Everything comes out and it's all YOU. Ghost lets you have your way with him. Cover him in art, sure thing, luv. Color his tattoos in? Why the fuck not? Raspberries on his tummy? What's stopping you, sweetheart? Just... consumed by you, all with a chuckle, a ciggie dangling from his mouth, and you in his arms. Phillip Graves is drunkenly serenading you and telling you all these plans he has about y'all's future together. From the bathroom. While pissing the longest piss known to man. The one who'll also croon 'Darlin'....' and kiss your cheeks a lot because it just does something to him. Just so damn affectionate. He can sing like no one's business, too. He loves to croon Marvin Gaye, Barry White, or the Isley Brothers in your ear. All with that goddamn southern twang. 'Cause he loves his darlin' so MUCH.

König is cackling like the gremlin crackhead he is and you're wondering if he'll ever realize that he's actually hugging and loving on the bedpost and not you. In true troll fashion, though, you record the whole thing and show it to him later, to his mortification. Drunk König also likes to be the little spoon.

When drunk, Horangi gets hot really quickly, and will take his clothes off. ALL his clothes off. And then he's all over you like a cat. He really likes it when you run your hands over his body, though. Goes double if your hands are cold.

Keegan is just fucking needy. Don't leave him, baby. What do you mean you gotta go to the bathroom? What do you mean you need to get a refill? The one who's out getting drunk with the other Ghosts, and he's texting you how much he loves you, how much he needs you, and then proceeds to reveal to you so many things about him, so many things that he thinks would make you leave him, but the things he reveal aren't even secretive or horrible at all (yeah, sure, of course you'd leave him because he and his friends wore the cheerleaders' outfits and he was on top of the pyramid while said cheerleaders played flag football in highschool during homecoming) so what the fuck, Keegan?

Adler is also a sleepy drunk. A sleepy, snoring drunk. A sleepy, snoring drunk who loves to sleep under your plushy throw blanket that he talks shit about when sober because your scent is on it and it helps him de-stress.

I think it's really funny that out of 3zun the one that probably likes drinking alcohol the most is in fact Lan Xichen.

Nie Mingjue canonically doesn't like drinking very much. Qinghe alcohol is probably effective for use as paint stripper so he might have a decent tolerance, he just doesn't enjoy it.

Jin Guangyao has likely deliberately worked up the exact tolerance he needs to drink a socially appropiate amount of alcohol at events without actully getting drunk, because I think the act of not being of sound mind in public is like a horror movie to him.

But Lan Xichen. Lan Xichen invented a whole new cultivation trick just to bypass his family's "one sip and we pass the fuck out" piss poor tolerance gene so he can drink as much alcohol as he wants. This man wants to go get white girl drunk with his sworn brothers so bad and neither of them are into it please pray for him.

I have to be honest; I did not expect how much people would love the fic and comic I made. I am still flabbergasted at how many people commented on the fic and left me such lovely tags and remarks here on tumblr. Thank you so much for all of that. They really made my week last week. I was walking on sunshine throughout it all.

I was going to leave the comic as is, but all the support and adoration fired me up, so I decided to continue the comic ^_^.

I based the table spread on what is typical around my area and then added grapes and an apple because Siffrin was not getting any good nutrients from what was on his plate.

It is unsurprising who my favourite character is, seeing how much I drew Odile in these two pages. Also, I did not mean for Odile to look like the Grinch at the bottom of page 1, but it just kind of sort of happened, and then it was too funny to erase it. Happy accidents and all.
