So, my friend and I were talking about felix from twf and looking up facts on Google. I looked up how tall he was and found some other lil facts like how he is "canonly autistic" and his full name. "Felix A. Kranken!"

There was a quick knock at the door before it swung open. Astley walked in carrying something - a certain something which made Winola do a double take.

In his hands was a bottle of wine.

Winola sat perched at the edge of her bed, her eyes instantly flickering towards the bottle. It wasn’t one she’d seen before; Freida and Fergus always bought the most expensive brands they could find, which may have been why. Considering that Astley was formerly homeless, she didn’t think that was the case for him. Still, the sight of the bottle, expensive or not, put her on edge. Freida and Fergus weren’t huge drinkers, at least, not alcoholics, but they drank more than Winola would’ve liked to admit to anyone.

The nights they drank weren’t ones that Winola remembered fondly (though she wasn’t sure there was a single memory with her parents that she did recall fondly in the first place). It would always start with a couple drinks, sometimes between friends, sometimes not. Then, the night would slowly escalate from there. The few drinks would turn into a few more drinks, Freida and Fergus growing increasingly louder the more they poured new ones, their laughter echoing from downstairs in a way that made Winola’s whole body freeze up in anticipation. She always knew what was going to happen next.

They always somehow found a way into her room. Always.

Their laughter would turn into screaming. Slurs and insults would be spit at her like poison. There was something wrong that she did - something wrong with her.

The hours that would follow would be full of screaming and yelling, hard blows raining down on Winola’s small, trembling figure. It wasn’t until she was left curled up in a ball, her face and clothes smeared with blood, ugly violet bruises already starting to form, that it would come to a stop, the disgusting stench of alcohol burning Winola’s nose as the couple stormed out of her room, slamming the door on their way out.

Winola blinked, pulled from the memory. “Why do you have wine?” She asked, eying the bottle in Astley’s hands.

“To cheer you up.” Astley stated, plunking down on the ground and popping open the bottle.

“Um, no thanks.”

“Oh. Okay then.” Astley stared at the dark red contents swirling inside the bottle for a second before promptly bringing it to his lips and chugging. It took him under two minutes before he was finished, smacking his lips contentedly and haphazardly discarding the now empty bottle by his bed.

Winola laid back down, still unsure on what to think of her new roommate. The two hadn’t had many conversations in their past week of knowing each other, so Winola wasn’t exactly sure what to expect of him. He seemed sort of strange, just like everyone else in this town, but not terrible. He was definitely better than having Felix Rodriguez as her roommate. She hadn’t known that he drank alcohol - she wasn’t even sure where he was getting it, she was pretty sure he was still underage - but she hoped that this didn’t mean it was going to become a common occurrence. She didn’t want to add a homeless alcoholic as her roommate to her list of already growing problems.

“Do you drink a lot of alcohol?” She asked in a quiet voice.

“Mhm.” Astley said, flopping down on his bed and sprawling his long limbs all over the mattress, the springs creaking underneath him. She guessed she should have expected that answer. Nothing in her life ever went smoothly after all.

“How come?”

His answer was simple: “Tastes good.”

“Oh.”

“Why don’t you?”

“I think it smells bad, so I always assumed it tasted bad.” Winola said.

She didn’t think she’d ever be able to erase the memory of laying on the ground, her body pulsing with pain, as Freida and Fergus leaned down low, their breath rotted with the putrid smell of alcohol. The thought of doing something like that herself, doing anything remotely like Freida and Fergus…. It disgusted her. She never wanted to drink like that, not as long as she lived.

“I used to think it smelled bad but I’ve gotten used to it.” Astley said.

“Oh.”

The two of them lapsed back into silence, both staring up at the ceiling, lost in thought. From below her, Winola could hear Astley open up another drink, slowly beginning to sip it. He let out a long, relaxed sigh, his body sagging down even further into the mattress.

He quickly finished the second bottle, whipping out a third.

Then a fourth.

He began to violently chug the next one, downing it in what felt like mere seconds.

By the fifth bottle, Winola was sure he wasn’t going to stop any time soon. She sat up in bed, slowly crawling down the ladder and making her way to the door. She didn’t want to be anywhere near him while he got drunk - or made himself sick. “I’m going on a walk.”

“Okay. See you later.” Astley gave her a lazy wave, taking another nice, long gulp of his drink.

Winola closed the door behind her and made her way downstairs, praying that by the time he got back she wouldn’t find him passed out on the floor in a puddle of puke.

Steve learning how to make alcohol free versions of Tony’s favorite desserts the first Christmas he’s sober. Tony loved Loved LOVED the tiramisu at his favorite Italian restaurant in Manhattan but they used Amaretto in theirs, he grew up on traditional Black Forest cake but the the kirsch liquor is a no go.

They may not be intoxicating at the amounts in the baked good but the taste and smell and just knowing it’s there it’s… the cold and the snow and the memories of his upcoming 1 year sober anniversary and what’s one more irritant this time of year full of parties and wine and mulled ciders? He just won’t indulge in booze OR dessert like he used to let himself previous holiday seasons it’s FINE.

So Steve learn how to not only make versions of those desserts, he learns how to make them just as good really, he just has to consult with the professional bakers and pastry chefs that make Tony’s favourite versions (not counting the ones Jarvis made because those are his fav by default of course). The chefs are happy to help! They would have made inclusive version for Tony anytime but Tony is still have trouble asking for exceptions for his sobriety so they’ll wait for him to ask them but for now they are thrilled to let Steve serve him their treats by proxy

Oooh, I love this! It's so sweet, and this is the kind of thing that I think newly sober people do struggle with, so it makes perfect sense. And the idea of Steve struggling to learn to back, probably with chocolate smeared along one cheekbone and flour down his front, probably poking his tongue out like he does when he's really concentrating on his art, is just so sweet! I imagine he really screws up the first too - baking is difficult and precise, you know? They don't rise, or he burns them, or something. But Steve being Steve, he's nothing if not persistent, and keeps at it until he's mastered it, and is proud to offer his desserts to Tony!

I think it's really funny that out of 3zun the one that probably likes drinking alcohol the most is in fact Lan Xichen.

Nie Mingjue canonically doesn't like drinking very much. Qinghe alcohol is probably effective for use as paint stripper so he might have a decent tolerance, he just doesn't enjoy it.

Jin Guangyao has likely deliberately worked up the exact tolerance he needs to drink a socially appropiate amount of alcohol at events without actully getting drunk, because I think the act of not being of sound mind in public is like a horror movie to him.

But Lan Xichen. Lan Xichen invented a whole new cultivation trick just to bypass his family's "one sip and we pass the fuck out" piss poor tolerance gene so he can drink as much alcohol as he wants. This man wants to go get white girl drunk with his sworn brothers so bad and neither of them are into it please pray for him.

The morning after

Part 1

I have to be honest; I did not expect how much people would love the fic and comic I made. I am still flabbergasted at how many people commented on the fic and left me such lovely tags and remarks here on tumblr. Thank you so much for all of that. They really made my week last week. I was walking on sunshine throughout it all.

I was going to leave the comic as is, but all the support and adoration fired me up, so I decided to continue the comic ^_^.

I based the table spread on what is typical around my area and then added grapes and an apple because Siffrin was not getting any good nutrients from what was on his plate.

It is unsurprising who my favourite character is, seeing how much I drew Odile in these two pages. Also, I did not mean for Odile to look like the Grinch at the bottom of page 1, but it just kind of sort of happened, and then it was too funny to erase it. Happy accidents and all.
