I’m having a normal one.

#ra speaks #personal #le sigh #extension I use to hoard tabs crashed when I tried to load up my workout for the day #lost all of my tabs #spent half an hour trying to figure out how/if they were recoverable #alas to no avail #autism brain stressin about losing My Stuff so I bite the bullet #and spend another half hour trying to extract the relevant files from my external hard drive w a backup from July #(I use the same 3-4 tab sets daily and everything else sorta filters to the bottom for reference #anyways kept crashing trying to copy them manually so I open the backup application hoping it won’t automatically overwrite the last backup #it didn’t. took less than two minutes for the relevant files to be restored. I feel a little stupid for getting upset abt this for an hour #gonna do yoga for 45 minutes and pop my anxiety meds to coast for the rest of the day bc I cannot even today #someone remind me to message my psych abt trying a proper adhd med #I’ve been fine w what I got but it does make my resting lvl anxiety a lil higher which makes it easier for me to spiral like this #smh beans pull it together! your labmate put he/she/they pronouns in the syllabus for you! life’s good!

Related to my previous post, I am on a quest to convince the university library to stop automatically sending all Irish-language material to storage and instead to allow it to be borrowed, and I think I am making progress... the library team I enlisted to help me approach the head of collections said they're hopeful of change, but that it's likely to be slow, so in the meantime they might be able to buy things for me for their open shelves 🥰

(This is excellent news because frankly I have neither the money nor the shelf space to keep buying every Irish-language book I want to read and previously that was my only option.)

#if more of them were available in ebook it would be more sustainable re: shelf space #and would also reduce the cost of shipping them from ireland #but alas. they are not #irish

I hate watching people I'm close to and people I bonded over vocaloid with grow out of it and start listening to real people and becoming more invested in other interest because that means they'll grow out of ME and I'll die
