‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ dazai is a sleepy regressor! when regressed he usually is just in his pajamas and takes a lot of naps. hell always insist hes not tired, and hes too old for a nap (pretending to regress to an older age such as 8-9ish, when in reality hes an itty bitty baby, probably 1-2ish), but once chuuya pulls out his bottle and wraps him a soft blanket hes through, out like a light and drooling onto chuuyas shoulder haha

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ as i stated before, dazai regresses to around 1-2ish, but he has trust issues and issues with being vulnerable, so even after he accepts his regression, he still tries to be a big kid and be more independent, when in reality hes really dependent on chuuya, and is even nervous and starts to cry if hes not with him at all times while regressed.

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ however, because hes a baby, chuuya of course will treat him like a baby! he has all sorts of toys like rattles, and soft plushies, and particularly those stuffed animals that have a little blanket for a body, like these. dazai doesnt really use any teethers when regressed but hes a big pacifier user, chuuya has a bunch of them laying around. if dazai doesnt have his pacifier, hell start sucking his fingers, which chuuya is adamantly against because he doesnt want dazai who already has a fragile immune system to get sick + he doesnt want him to chew up his fingers.

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ despite dazais personality when not regressed, i think hes honestly a very gentle and sweet little baby. for one, hes afraid to be vulnerable when hes regressed, so acting out is out of the question because he doesnt want to misbehave and have chuuya yell at him (chuuya would never, but dazai lives in his head and makes up anxieties). secondly, dazais entire nonchalant laugh it off demeanour is just a show when hes big, and that all comes crumbling down when hes regressed, showing his true colors, and his wants and needs. all he really wants is love and snuggles and to be held. he just needs reassurance and the kind of gentle love hes never received anywhere else :(

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ dazai loves peekaboo. hell lay in chuuyas lap watching him hide behind his hands for hours. and its all worth it to chuuya to hear his adorable babys sweet little happy giggles.

chuuya hiding behind his hands "oh no... where did mackeral go?" dazai giggling hysterically, because chuuya is right behind his hands, how could he not know where dazai is? and chuuya dramatically peeking out from behind his hands. "there he is!! theres my baby!!" and dazai laughing happy, saying "gain! gain!" (again, again!)

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ dazai, because he is so young, is not very verbal when little. hell occasionally say small, slightly mispronounced words such as "nuh" (no), "mmhm", "chuu", "chibi" or "chichi" (hes trying to say chibi, but hes just a little guy, you cant blame him!)

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ they have a game before they go to sleep for the night where chuuya will kiss all of dazais freckles on his nose before they go to sleep, and dazai will kiss chuuyas freckles back! chuuya thinks dazais little baby kisses are the most adorable thing in the world, and his heart flutters with every tiny little kiss the baby gives him!

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ dazai cant stand not to be around chuuya when hes little... but at the same time, his baby brain doesnt have the same criticl thinking skills as he does when hes an adult. so sometimes while chuuya is asleep, hell wander away out of curiosity (he sees its raining outside, he wants his stuffie, hes hungry, etc.) but once hes gone, it hits him that hes alone, and chuuyas not there, and he doesnt know what to do, and he doesnt know how to find him again, so he kinda just shuts down and starts to cry. chuuya, being woken up by his poor babys lonely, anxious crying, of course finds him immediately, and picks him up into his arms and hushes him and reminds him that if dazai ever needs anything he needs to tell his caregiver first! (hide and seek is definately not a game they play lol)

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ i feel like dazai would really like moomin valley, the 90s version. i think the voices would be so calming to him, and hed enjoy all the magical elements and the aesthetic of it. however, i think he calls moomin a hippo, and chuuya tries to correct him and be like "sweetheart, moomin is a troll, not a hippo", but dazai associates trolls with being scary and moomin is not scary, so he cant be a troll, he has to be a hippo!! the two episodes though, with the groke, scared him.

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅chuuya is very protective, probably overprotective of dazai. its because he personally sees how capable and independent dazai is when not regressed, and a lot of that independence is taken away when dazai regresses. hes very sensitive and emotional and doesnt always know how to take care of himself, and that combined with chuuyas natural protective instincts over those he loves makes him extremely protective of his baby. he doesnt like dazai regressing without him, but only will accept it if its kunikida caring for him, because i feel like they have a mutual respect for each other and understand that both of them care a lot about dazai and would take good care of him. dazai also puts so much trust into chuuya when he regresses and chuuya is his default caregiver, that chuuya feels almost territorial with the baby lol.

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ dazai is autistic, and masks his symptoms a lot, and when he regresses that ability to mask vanishes. his sucking on objects or his fingers is a self soothing stim, and when hes excited hell or flail his hands around. he also hums to himself as a stim (he does this when not regressed too), and is a lot more sensitive to light and sound. he cant stand uncomfortable clothing either and almost always wears pajamas when regressed.

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ i think chuuya has a caregiver headspace, hes not just a caregiver because he loves dazai (though thats definately a reason too- i mean some people dont have caregiver headspaces but they still caregive because they want to be accomdating to their loved ones). so not only is regressing theraputic for dazai, it is for chuuya too, because it calms that need in him to take care of someone, and to protect them. when dazai is asleep with his pacifier and his stuffie all cozy in chuuyas arms in a warm fluffy blankie, he cant help but just feel such a strong sense of rightness, and content in his chest, because this is exactly what he needs. a happy baby in his arms.

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ i headcanon dazai as a cane user post mersault, not all the time, just to help him balance and lean his weight on if his leg is feeling off. and i headcanon him to have chronic pain in that knee that he broke. when his knee is hurting, i think he falls down into his baby headspace, and chuuya will give him an icepack and/or warm heating pad depending on the type of pain, rub his leg and his knee for him, carry him anywhere he needs to go, reassure the baby that hes no less beautiful or perfect or human because he has a physical disability now, and that hes still loved and will always be loved. on flare up days/periods, chuuya and dazai usually just cuddle in bed and watch shows or movies, and order takeout and drink hot cocoa.

‧₊˚ ☽ ⋅ chuuya loves to do fun activities with dazai! dazai is not fond of regressing in public, so things like cat cafes and parks and public events are off limits, but hell stargaze with the baby on the balcony, telling him stories of all the different constellations and pointing out different planets. hell bake fun treats with dazai (usually dazai doesnt do much baking since hes a disaster in the kitchen even when not regressed-). dazai usually just pours ingredients into bowls and cups with chuuyas help and licks the spoons. he likes to pick flowers with dazai and make little flower crowns, and will color with him. they make tents from blankets and cushions and pillows in the living room to go on a fake camping trip, and chuuya will pretend to be a scary grizzly bear, and then will fight the bear off to protect dazai! he gets dazai to do crafts and fingerpaintings. he absolutely keeps his baby entertained, even if dazai doesnt like to leave the safety of their home when regressed!

Chuchu def is like most kitties.. always trying to destroy decorations and trying to climb the Christmas tree or knock it over >:3 Dazai probably scolds him (gently and softly!) for this but Chuuya just ignores him and pouts >:p he's just a little baby kiti!

Chuchu probably isn't used to Christmas though because he probably never celebrated it o(TତTo) but Dazai and the other's def try their best to make it the beet Christmas for the babi kiti!

⛦ Anytime Chuuya gets into the decorations it’s a disaster… He’ll get into the garlands and within a minute he’s tangled up to the point he can’t even move. Silly kitty… And ornaments! Never leave ornaments sitting out! He’ll look Dazai right in the eye, that cat like smirk on his face, then push an ornament off the counter! Obviously it breaks on impact, but then Chuuya jumps away like it scared him! He only breaks replaceable ornaments of course, ornaments can hold memories. Honestly he buys cheap ornaments for the sole purpose of breaking them and watching Dazai clean it up

₊ ⊹ Chuuya definitely loves to tear through things! And what a better way to do that with holiday spirit than to do it with wrapping paper? He’ll take a whole roll and tackle it, clawing and biting at it. He doesn’t swallow any though! Just spits it out •̀⩊•́ Dazai will also just lay out wrapping paper for him! On the walls, on the couch, etc. Chuuya will find it and tear it up! But he also likes napping on wrapping paper! Only when it’s inconvenient of course ( • ̀ω•́ )✧ Like when Dazai tries to wrap presents! (95% of them are gag gifts for people) Chuuya will come right in and lay on the wrapping paper, he looks up at Dazai innocently when Dazai struggles to get more, and instead of moving he just meows for attention

⛦ Chuuya tries to climb the tree any way possible! In his defense Dazai started it! Dazai would tease him about not being able to reach the top branches, and Chuuya can find a way to reach them! But once it’s fully decorated he stops trying, to scared of breaking precious ornaments. However he’ll still use his ability to float over the tree! Dazai will tease him saying that he’s the star, Chuuya gets annoyed because yes it’s praise. But Dazai has that tone… So Chuuya lands safely, to go tackle Dazai! Such a meanie head…

₊ ⊹ I think the Sheep taught Chuuya about Christmas, but they could never do anything big… And Dazai does things big. Complete with a fireworks display, a plane flying overhead with a banner, using Chuuya’s money of course. Chuuya’s entire house lights up! And it looks like they’ve been transported to another world! Chuuya remembers seeing decorations like this as a kid… But now it’s his house that looks like this? Woah… And he gets to do this every year? It’s so cool! He’s such a happy kitty, nuzzling up against Dazai and purring louder than a lawnmower

⛦ Bells! Chuuya absolutely has a cute little collar, with a bell on it! But around Christmas time Dazai adds as many bells as he can! Chuuya loves crawling and bouncing around to hear them! Dazai calls them his jingle bells! Chuuya approves of that name. Chuuya also likes bell ornaments! He’ll crawl up to the tree and bat at them to listen to them jingle and jangle! The only issue is that if he gets to excited he’ll knock it right off the branch and break it. And then he’s really sad (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ ) Luckily he has a lot more- And he can buy more! All the bells!

₊ ⊹ Kitty Chuuya hates going out in the snow! It melts when he touches it! And do you know what melted snow is? It’s water! It gets his paws all wet! He much prefers to stay inside thank you very much. But when he does go outside Dazai helps him build a snow den! Dazai makes a big pile of snow and Chuuya digs a tunnel in there and then creates a little room! If he packs the snow tight enough it doesn’t melt! He can also of course just wear gloves, but snow gloves restrict his movement, and gloves that don’t restrict his movement, the water will soak through! It’s so yucky!

⛦ No chocolate milk for the kitty cat! Chuuya just likes his plain milk thank you very much! However in the spirit of Christmas he will put a candy cane in it! Or use peppermint extract instead of vanilla, but a candy cane is better because it colors the milk all cool hehe. Dazai heats him up the milk, adds some sugar, then plops in a candy cane! As it melts it adds a pretty red swirl pattern, and a peppermint flavor! At the beginning Chuuya complains that it’s burning his tongue (The peppermint flavor not the milk being too hot!) but as he gets used to it he’s just happy to enjoy the festive flavor!

Regressor! Chuuya and Dazai moodboard ^^!

This was so much fun to make! I hope you like it. There are some headcanons beneath the cut because they're so precious to me.

I think Dazai would regress super little (0-3), and Chuuya would regress just a bit older (4-5).

Because of this, Chuuya is still a bit like a caregiver to Dazai if they're both little at the same time.

I think they'd have lots of naps together! Both very sleepy.

I think Chuuya would play Nintendogs and let Dazai watch, or another low effort video game. He'd let Dazai do one or two things when he wanted to, like feeding or petting the dogs ^^.

Chuuya insists he doesn't need a stuffie, but he secretly loves the sheep Dazai bought for him when they were both feeling big.

I think Chuuya would read to Dazai! It calms them both down, and it helps Dazai feel soothed especially if they're about to take a nap. Very simple board books, I think of Miffy and other sweet ones like that. Might stumble over the words a little, but Dazai doesn't care and Chuuya tries to push through the embarrassment.

That's it! They're very special to me. So little.

so i am absolutely obsessed with @play-rough’s classification au on ao3 and it got to the point where i needed to make a whole playlist dedicated to it, so here it is, i hope you all like it.

playlist breakdown under the cut

understand: it’s the first song on here because of @/knoxx.tbox’s animatic, it’s gorgeous and everyone should check it out. it captures the gentle, caring part of their relationship perfectly.

little space: it’s just a song about little space, i also found the line “and i start to give in/to the sin/to the sin” very fitting for dazai because of just how much he hates his little head space.

hazel: sad tired dazai vibes, it makes me think of the second fic where he stays up all night, trying to drop but can’t, and the poor baby is just so out of it. “hold me tightly” he wants chuuya to hold him so, so badly. but he can’t say that, he can never just say what he wants, so he has to wait until he drops and then he has no choice, and he hates it. but yeah it also just soft sweet comforting vibes to me.

smoke signals: this one’s weird cuz unlike most of the songs on here where they’ll apply to either dazai or chuuya, this one has a stark divide of both. the first few lines “i know i’m a freak/ripped the band aid, broke the peace/took the lock but lost the key/guess i set you free” are so dazai it hurts. he thinks he’s a freak, he hates himself for his regression, he thinks leaving and getting out of chuuya’s space and life is setting him free from dazai. but that’s not what chuuya wants, the rest of the song is all about chuuya always welcoming him back, always wanting him there when he’s upset, wanting to be there and to help him. he wants to take care of his baby and for his baby to let him.

almost home: this one just gave me very gentle sweet vibes. it also made me think of the car ride back to chuuya’s apartment after dazai bit tsu and walked back to his shipping container alone and regressed, and just chuuya lulling small dazai to sleep and holding him, happy to have his baby back.

moon river: i wanted at least one nice lullaby on here and this is what my mom would always sing me so it’s just very personal to me lmao. just picturing chuuya humming/singing it to little dazai makes me v happy.

treehouse: the childhood friends vibe. “i’m the captain/but you can be the deputy” just like, describing their bond together. the closeness, the trust, all that.

escapism: this one’s all about dazai. him wanting to be free from his pain and wanting to be free from his little space, while also using his little space to escape his pain, if that makes sense.

beautiful boy: first off this songs just makes me insane second oughhhh chuuya singing it to dazai would end me. he’s chuuya’s boy, his sweet little baby. and chuuya will always be here for him, will always keep him safe, will always do his best to quiet the overwhelming voices in his head. they’re so soft it makes me unwell.

yellow: also a chuuya one, he’d do anything for baby dazai. he would bleed himself dry if it came down to it.

i need to be alone: dazai angst. the isolating himself when he feels little space coming on. the antsy-ness, the irritability, all of that. he doesn’t want to snap at chuuya, but he doesn’t know what else to do, doesn’t know how else to handle it. so he lashes out and somehow, still, chuuya is there. he hasn’t pushed him away yet. dazai doesn’t think he can handle the day he hits his limit.

i’ll die anyway: similar vein to the above. sad dazai.

juliet: the opening verse is so dazai core to me it hurts. “but i need to understand/when I can power through/and when i need some help from you/when i should stand my ground/and when i need to just sit down/sometimes i act like i know/but i’m really just a kid” all of this speak to dazai and his relationship with chuuya, specifically with accepting his help with his little space. he doesn’t know what to do, how to handle anything, when he’s little he is just a baby. chuuya knows what to do, what will help him feel better, knows how to take care of him and make him feel good. and dazai has mixed feelings on that, because he loves chuuya and he loves his attention, but it hurts to receive sometimes, and it hurts to not know what’s going on with himself, and that chuuya knows better what to do. he feels out of control and he doesn’t like it, but he still trusts chuuya and yeah it’s a whole thing.

i’ll keep you safe: chuuya song. very straight and to the point, chuuya just wants to keep dazai safe and happy and he wants to protect him, be there for him, quiet all the bad thoughts in his head. he knows how much it takes for dazai to regress at all, and the fact that he keeps doing it around chuuya (even though sometimes it is out of either of their control) just proves a huge amount of trust and chuuya values that so deeply, and that is a bond he would never dream of betraying or breaking.

rises the moon: imma be honest this one’s just for the soft vibes. i could see chuuya humming it as a lullaby, but mostly it just made me feel soft and happy so i put it on here.

small hands. this song. this song oh my god. i love this song so much it hurts. anyway it’s chuuya talking to dazai, “if you need come build your home in me, i can’t fix what was done to you, but i’ll shield you from the rain.” it’s chuuya knowing he can’t go back and erase dazai’s past, but being here for him now. he’s here now, and he’ll be here in the future. “cause i never mind, no matter the day or time, i never mind” chuuya would do anything to be there for dazai, it’s him telling him to reach out for help, telling him it’s okay, telling him he truly doesn’t mind, he wants this. he wants to care for him, to help. “and all the anchors that they hid inside your chest/we will unravel all of the chains/toss the remnants all down the drain” the anchors and chains being the trauma mori’s instilled about little space being bad. that dazai’s not supposed to, that he just push through and push it down and be fine. it’s chuuya telling him that’s not how it works, but together we can get you to regress safely and see that it’s not bad, it doesn’t have to scary, it can even be fun sometimes. it’s the slow process of working through all that trauma. “i will be there to pick up the pieces, and keep you housed while you bend them up” literally just chuuya always trying to have dazai over. his apartment is so much better than dazai’s shipping container. like just objectively. “if you wind up in the dark again/just turn and call my name/if the fire in your chest goes out/well i’ll hold you all the same” this whole bit also makes me think of after dazai bit tsu. “if you wind up in the dark again” is dazai going back to his container alone and scared. dazai doesn’t even need to call chuuya’s name before he’s showing up to help him, even if it’s a bumpy ride getting on the same page. “well i’ll hold you all the same” goes for chuuya’s feelings towards dazai in general. he wants to care for dazai in and out of headspace, it’s just the type of care looks different depending on where dazai’s at. sometimes it’s holding him in his arms, sometimes it’s pulling him back from a ledge. sometimes it’s gently feeding him a bottle, sometimes it’s forcibly fighting him into dry, clean clothes so he doesn’t get sick. and now for my favorite line “if you need to take this out on me/well you know i won’t complain” it’s chuuya never getting angry at dazai’s outbursts in headspace, cuz he knows how hard it is, how hard his baby is trying, he just doesn’t know what else to do with his overwhelming feelings. so chuuya takes his outbursts and handles them, and he’ll never hold them against his baby, because he’s literally just a baby what else is he supposed to do but cry and lash out when he’s tired and grumpy.

tired: sad tired dazai and specifically the line “cause i’ve been eating less all day/to give my brain some extra space to think.”

coffee: I know it’s called coffee but honestly this makes me think of chuuya prepping dazai’s bottles, making sure it’s just the right temperature, the right flavors for his baby. vanilla and strawberry, something more special than just milk. it’s cute.

feb 14: honestly i just kept coming back to this song and the playlist didn’t feel complete without it but i couldn’t tell you why, i don’t have a real detailed reason for it other than vibes.

this side of paradise: chuuya not wanting dazai to feel lonely/be alone and scared while in headspace. “come be lonely with me” all that jazz. i chose the slow version cuz the og felt to fast paced and overwhelming compared to the rest of the playlist, and i this fit it better.

Regressor! Chuuya Nakahara

(These are all just personal headcanons of mine and I project onto Chuuya quite a lot, and have for a very long time, sorry if this feels “out of character” or anything. Also, this is sort of an au where Dazai and Chuuya share an apartment or something.)

(Also- to the few IRLs who now have access to my Tumblr, I warned you, and I’m so sorry-)

Chuuya really likes sharks and has a shark plushie that Dazai won for him from a claw machine at the arcade they used to go to. (His name is Finn, but Chuuya refuses to admit he named it.)

He also has a lot of space themed stuff, like those glow in the dark stars that you put on your wall, and one of those moon nightlights.

Very prone to accidents, especially with all of the nightmares he has, and often has pull-ups that he keeps hidden under his bed. He really wants to wear diapers, thinking they’d be more comfortable and with as young as his headspace is, it would help him feel comfortable in that aspect to. However, he would never consider it, refusing to accept he’s anything but a ‘big boy.’ (Unless Dazai coaxes him into it or catches him at a really vulnerable moment.)

You’d think he’d be really difficult during changes, but he gets so embarrassed he just freezes. He wants to argue and kick but he doesn’t want to even talk about the current situation the two are in, and physically can’t without getting unbelievably embarrassed to the point he’ll cry, so he just freezes and lays still for Dada.

Tends to have nightmares about being abandoned by Dazai or his old friends being killed right in front of him. When he wakes up from one, he’s usually immediately a sobbing mess and will cling to Dazai and Finn like he’ll die without them. These tend to result in a large total of accidents.

“It’s alright Chibi. Dada’s here little buddy. I’m not going anywhere.” He holds him close, revisiting the struggle he’d previously endured when just trying to settle Chuuya down for the night. He’d hardly gotten him to sleep before, now after that awful nightmare, they’d probably be up until Chuchu wore himself out and even after that. He’d start to try to lay Chuuya down and he’d scream and cry, clinging tighter to Dazai. “DADA NO! NO LEAVING! YOU HAVE TO STAY!” The fussy regressor would sob. Dazai would lay down next to him, pulling him in close. “Calm down baby…I’m not going anywhere sweetheart.” He slid a pastel yellow blanket and Finn into his arms, then offering up a paci as well. “Shhh…” he’d gently coo, lips right above his head.

Chuuya doesn’t really know how old he is when regressed, but he’s nowhere above three, but can get very itty bitty, even so little the only word he’ll use is “Dada.” Even then, he just says “Da!”

Gets very embarrassed about regressing, ESPECIALLY since Dazai is the only one who he’s told about it. Dazai is the only person he trusts enough to know about it, while simultaneously fearing that he’s went and told everyone about it, or will use it against him like the bet they made as kids where Chuuya is ‘his dog’ and will do things like use a ‘snobby rich girl voice’ in conversations. Of course Dazai would never do that with such a delicate situation, but the fear is there.

Requires lots of praise and reassurance.

When Dazai left the mafia, Chuuya didn’t celebrate like he claims he did at all, he silently sobbed into Finn, holding the shark tight. He never sleeps without it now.

His favorite pacifier is a baby blue one with small stars and a crescent moons design on it. It has a matching paci clip that tends to be clipped to Finn’s dorsal fin. Dazai has only lost it once, and when they needed it, it was not a fun situation for either parties.

Chuuya tries to regress with any free time he has while Dazai has work. Being an executive, that time is hard to find, so he usually ends up regressing while Dazai is home. Even though he’s so accepting and even taken on the role of a caregiver for him, he still tries to hide any and all vulnerability, and usually panics at first, every time Dazai finds or gets him little.

Regresses involuntary almost every time he uses Corruption. If he doesn’t pass out immediately, he’s in so much physical and mental distress when he’s finished with the fight that all he can do is sob to Dazai, telling his Dada he wants to go home, while the brunette’s brow furrows a bit over the redhead’s wet pants. He shivers against Dazai before inevitably passing out, exhausted.

-He tends to have accidents a lot after literally allowing his entire body to be corrupted and attack in a mindless rage.

-Even further, he probably struggles to regress sometimes because he has to let go so much, and let his guard down so much that it can allow his Special Ability to act on its own, sometimes even causing him to experience corruption. Dazai is always nearby during this, quickly nullifying it. This is only an occasional thing though when he’s trying to willingly regress.

Chuuya is usually a fussy and grumpy baby. Clingy and needy, but pouts at everything and whines a lot. Too stubborn for his own good.

-Will probably cry and cry until he’s held but then will fuss, wanting to be set down because “he’s a big boy.” Dazai knows better though. Even casually, he’ll try to act big and pretend he’s a “big boy” and even if Dazai knows otherwise, he’ll play along with him.

“Alright Chuuya! If ya say so! But I was so hoping I’d get to see my little star when I got home! Oh well! Guess we can have a tea party another day! I had some paperwork I need to get in anyways!” But before he walks off, Chuuya grabs his hand. “…tea party?” He asks with a flushed face. Dazai smiles slyly. “Mhm! A tea party with all my baby’s favorite stuffies! But he’s not here right now, so it’ll have to wait for now! Siiiiiigh!” Chuuya whimpers, squeezing his hand. He doesn’t want to say he’s regressed, but he also doesn’t have to. Dazai opens his arms for a hug, and Chuuya slinks into his arms, pressing his face on his chest, hiding in his hands. “And we’d make sugar cookies! And I bought his favorite strawberry milk! I heard Finn was excited too! Such a shame!” As he says this, he’s already lifting up a regressed Chuuya into his arms. “You’re so mean” little Chibi grumbles with a small sniffle. “Hi baby…” Dazai whispered.

Very sensitive and hard on himself. If Dazai even tells him with a gentle tone that he can’t do something, he’ll be completely disappointed in himself and sit himself in the corner, punishing himself. Of course Dazai won’t let that stand, and he’s quick to coax his baby back into his arms.

He clenches his jaw, bites his lips and cheeks, and even grits his teeth when he’s angry or stressed. This tends to end up in a lot of pacis getting bitten through, so there’s always a spare somewhere. Dazai tries to offer alternatives like chewelry or teether toys. This usually ends up in Chuuya just becoming extremely embarrassed with his behavior and being very scared to use his pacis. Like most of his little things, it takes a lot of coaxing and encouragement for Chuuya to feel comfortable enough to use them.

They go on lots of aquarium trips when Chuuya is regressed. His favorite thing is the shark tank tunnel, and always insists all the sharks are his friends.

He also really enjoys arcades and has a fixation with claw machines.

His favorite nicknames are “little star” “little prince” “Chibi” (by Dazai only) “Chuchu” “little pup” (like a shark) and “little buddy”

Prefers sleeper onsies because they cover his legs, and he doesn’t like looking at his scars.

He has a LOT of Tuxedo Sam merchandise, including a sippy cup and a throw blanket that he loves to carry around when little.

Very well behaved in the bath, and likes playing with a bunch of shark bath toys. He thinks bath bombs are silly, and bath crayons are one of the best inventions known to man. Dazai always puts a towel in the drier for Chuuya for when he gets out.

Has one of those special play tents that he hides in when he’s feeling shy. It has a lot of pillows and blankies in it so it’s basically just a cozy little “hide-y hole” for whenever he needs it.

Doesn’t really care for coloring books, but loves drawing

Knows an absurd amount of shark facts, and talks about them nonstop when regressed. He will explain in detail why he thinks Dazai would like a certain kind of shark.

Despises thunderstorms, and will throw a fit if he’s alone during it. Even just waking up to storms is enough to bring him to absolutely hysterical sobbing. Dazai has special headphones for him to wear during storms, but he doesn’t like the way they feel on his ears, so he just continues to throw a fit.

Very shy about it, but loves being bottle-fed. He would deny wanting to and never EVER ask, but he loves it when Dada lets him fall asleep in his lap while being babied in such an intimate way.

Dazai is usually his caregiver, but if he’s also feeling small, Chuuya only trusts Kunikida to see him like that. They both refer to him as “Kiki.”

and then chuuyas attitude doing a complete 180, going from grumpy and pouty to excited and giggly as he bounces in his seat and waits excitedly for dazai to turn on the puppy movies.

dazai maybe annoyed and disgruntled that he has to watch the same movies about the same dogs for probably the thousandth time, but chuuyas sparkling eyes and little giggles and “aww…”s at the doggies throughout the movies makes it worth it.

Trans little Dazai and Caregiver Chuuya headcanons!!

♡15!Chuuya had accidentally stumbled across 15!Dazai while he was regressing, Chuuya obviously didn't understand it nor did he understand why Dazai immediately burst into tears when he saw Chuuya...

♡After a few very,,awkward conversation Chuuya had agreed to care for Dazai while he was regressed as much as he could, even if he still doesn't really understand what it is.

♡I think Chuuya found out Dazai was trans while Dazai was regressed, like Dazai was complaining about his chest/ribs hurting and it being hard to breath, and Chuuya being the great caregiver he is had to investigate why,,,thay also how he found our Dazai was binding with bandages (He bought Dazai a proper binder the next day)

♡Dazai definitely gets fussy if he wears his binder while hes regressed, but he also gets fussy without his binder. Chuuya had to get him a binder that was to big for him so it wasn't as hard for him to breath while regressed

♡In general Dazai is a fussy baby, he has so many big emotions that he holds in till he's regressed and they come out in the form of tears. Luckily he is easily calmed down by cuddles and a warm bottle of milk

♡Chuuya bought Dazai a kitty plushie for Dazai, it is named 'Mackie' and looks very raggedy

♡Chuuya loves to call Dazai stuff like 'bubby' 'baby boy' 'little man' and Dazai usually just calls Chuuya 'Chu-Chu'

♡I think Chuuya buys Dazai a lot of 'little boys' clothes, stuff like long jean shorts, big t-shirts and tennis shoes! Honestly just anything that could help Dazai for more boyish while he regresses!

Cg!Kouyou and Little!Chuuya headcannons

• Chuuya gets too clingy to Kouyou when he's tiny. He hugs her everytime, because he knows she wont mind, and she just giggles and hugs him back.

• They play with stuffed animals and have tea parties together.

^ They like to play tea party with the stuffies, and Kouyou always makes sure not to make the tea too hot not to burn Chuuya or cause accidents

• Kouyou likes to spoil her baby, but Chuuya is not used too it. He always gets happy.

• When Chuuya is too sleepy, Kouyou won't mind placing him on her lap or letting his rest on her shoulder.

• Kouyou has rules for Chuuya, and one of them is not biting on everything around him. (She bought him a fishy teether to help with this)

⛦ Chuuya and Dazai are always fighting in some way, this doesn’t stop when Chuuya is regressed! Dazai will tease the little kitty cat and Chuuya will hiss and meow at him in return! He has scratched Dazai before and no he does not regret it. Dazai deserved it! Of course Dazai’s teasing has no true ill will, but Chuuya does have a short temper, and Dazai knows how to push his buttons. If any feelings are ever truly hurt though they’ll talk it out to avoid problems in the future!

₊ ⊹ Chuuya, while regressed, has a very limited vocabulary. Not to mention Dazai just naturally has a much wider vocabulary than him. This leads to Chuuya losing most arguments (Couldn’t be that Dazai is better than him at something… Just a vocabulary issue of course!). Dazai of course continues to taunt “Nothing to say to that, Kitty Cat?” This lead to Chuuya either lashing out with a scratch which leads to wrestling on the floor, or he’ll go off and pout, which usually ends with Chuuya on the ceiling!

⛦ First up, feisty kitty! When Chuuya is feisty he won’t hesitate to tackle Dazai to the ground. You might be thinking “Chuuya is so small, can he really tackle someone?” The answer is yes! He can manipulate his gravity to make his body as heavy as bricks, then all that weight just slams into Dazai who has a fairly skinny build… Down to the ground they go! Chuuya will also get himself cornered on purpose so he can kick! His legs are strong. He’ll press his back up against the wall and kick with all his might! This has given Dazai a black eye before. It’s ok though because he deserved it. Probably

₊ ⊹ Then we have pouty kitty! Chuuya tries floating up to the top of the ceiling to pout, it’s his favorite pouting place! However Dazai adapts. After it happens a couple of times he just buys a ladder (Using Chuuya’s money of course). Anytime Chuuya goes up to pout he’ll climb up and simply give Chuuya a tap, No Longer Human deactivating Chuuya’s gravity manipulation (The ceiling is high up, Chuuya has time to reactivate it before anyone gets injured!). Chuuya of course always directs his fall to land on his feet too!

⛦ Nicknames! Of course Dazai calls Chuuya “Kitty” but he’ll usually overdo it by acting extra cutesy words “Teeny weeny little kitty cat” Chuuya gets very flustered and usually lashes out insisting that he hates it, but he doesn’t. Of course there’s the classic Soukoku pet names! Dazai will always call Chuuya “Slug” it doesn’t matter the situation. I also think Dazai would just use generally cutesy pet names like “Honeybun” just to get on Chuuya’s nerves and see him all flustered!

₊ ⊹ Cat naps are very important! They help keep Chuuya content and happy, less grumpy! A sleepy kitty very quickly gets fussy and feisty… It’s rather counterproductive truthfully. So cat naps! Dazai will prepare a bottle of nice warm angel milk and hold Chuuya in his lap while he feeds it to him. He’ll massage Chuuya’s palms as if they’re paws and scratch the kitty cats chin. Chuuya is such a happy guy! He’s purring super loud and nuzzling into Dazai’s touch until he eventually falls asleep

⛦ Chuuya is such a pouty kitty! And he’ll pout about anything! Being told to go to bed, not getting the snack he wants, not being held 24/7. Terrible crimes! He claims to, and acts like, he hates Dazai. Dazai of course dramatically collapses on the ground, claiming he can’t go on if his darling Chuuya hates him. Chuuya continues his pouting for a few minutes… But then gives in. He goes over to Dazai and gently headbutts him, tilting his head to the side like a curious animal. Dazai is magically revived and all is well!

₊ ⊹ Chuuya of course has some cat toys, things like mice, fish, birds, etc. Sometimes he’ll bring them to Dazai as gifts! He’ll just wander up to his caretaker, then stare up at him waiting for praise for his amazing catch! However, Chuuya also does this when he breaks something. Running around and broke a vase? Uhhh bring the biggest piece to Dazai! What about the rest? Leave it there of course, it can’t be that important… He still expects praise! He’s very sad when Dazai doesn’t give him any
