I think if he noticed a pattern of them answering when he’s little he’d try and really force himself down to headspace just so they could talk.

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ — i'd say akito's little age goes from 1-5, with him usually regressing to somewhere in the middle! he doesn't necessarily like regressing, but if he's with his cgs, he gets into it very easily!

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ — one of his cgs being mizuki, which surprises both of them and akito's other cgs (the rest of vbs and ena). it's not like mizuki's mean to him, the others just assume he wouldn't want to be teased as much when little

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ — mizuki is big on teasing him when he's little, but they usually tone it down if it looks like it's getting to him too much. still, their conversations usually consist of mizuki's teasing and akito's little angry babbles..

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ — if mizuki goes over to the shinonomes house, there's a 99% chance that akito will end up regressing purely from the presence of ena and mizuki in the same place. they baby talk him so hard he drops <3

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ — mizuki 1000% designs cute little outfits and onesies for akito when he's regressed! he gets really embarrassed whenever he sees them when he's big, but he's really thankful that they would do something like that for him

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ — during the time between mizu5 and ena5, it really upset akito that his big sibling wasn't there when he was small. i think regressed him reaching out to them is the only time they really talked to anyone..

idk if you know how to answer this but

how can you tell if you’ve regressed? i understand pattern recognition and such works with noticing when others regress, but if i regress would i be able to tell that im regressing?

✦ : hello! this is absolutely a safe place to ask this, and any questions for that matter. I’m not 100% on if I’m the best person to ask this, however, hajshaj

For starters, regression comes in all sorts of different ways and forms, don’t expect one persons regression to be identical to another’s. In that way, how you know that you’re regressed will be different from how another person can tell that they’re regressed.

For some, it may be as simple as a feeling in their head or a difference in how they walk and talk, others might not even realize they’re regressed in the moment, and only notice when looking back. So, no, you, yourself, might not realize you’re regressed in the moment, it truly depends on just how well you know yourself and what form your regression takes.

When I’m regressed, it’s normally involuntarily, so I’m sure it’s far different than when it’s brought upon by your own will, but… for me, it usually makes me far more emotional, tired, and overwhelmed. My mind tends to prevent me from speaking normally or processing my thoughts properly, so that’s my personal way of realizing I’m feeling little. I also tend to get overly annoyed by noise and texture, my anxiety may act up and cause me to get sick, and I get extremely clingy to a person, thing, or animal. When I regress voluntarily (which has been. so few times I’m honestly unsure haha), it usually leaves me feeling wrong, or out of place, and still makes me carry responsibility. I over analyze myself and others a lot, I’m a very perceptive person, so the majority of the time, I can immediately tell when me or another person is feeling little.

some of the most easily recognizable things that happen in people when they’re regressed could be stuff such as a lack of motor control, inability to control bladder function, being overly emotional, feeling as if the worlds larger than them, struggling with speaking properly, etc etc.

Of course, this is not what people are limited to whatsoever, no matter what form your regression takes, it’s valid.

1　 ﹒　Venti often regresses in the Angel’s Share after he’s had a few drinks, instead of being extremely obnoxious, sometimes, this kiddo has quieter moments where all he yearns for is the bartender to hold him and rock him back and forth to sleep, instead of letting him fall asleep with the irritatingly loud yowling and laughing of nearby patrons being his lullaby.

2　 ﹒　Despite being fully aware of Kaeya’s identity when big, Venti finds himself in awe over his stories and thrills of his “pirate backstory” he speaks of when the bard is little. It’s a silly thing, but Venti will always be comforted by fiction. Simply because he knows that somewhere the wind will take him, will have these exact stories be a reality. That somewheres out there, Kaeya’s life is as simple as a pirate with a heroic tale.

3　 ﹒　Even when in such a baby mindset, he sings and laughs to his hearts content, he’s more than willing to tell you a ballad or lament, simply state your piece! Venti’s song is powered purely by the will of the wind!

4　 ﹒　Will absolutely babble and laugh while pulling at Diluc’s hair whilst he’s meant to be working, however, he always gets extremely upset if he manages to harm the man in anyway. He is apart of his people, after all, no matter if in his mindset he lacks responsibility — he still cares.

5　 ﹒　The two’s bickering entertains Venti more than he can say! Over the dumbest things! He’s always in a fit of giggles around those two, no matter what! And they’re more than willing to lightly insult each other with pure intent if it manages a smile out of such a cutie.

1　 ﹒　 Such a clingy little! She is always encouraging her sister to spend more time with her and pulling at her sleeves for attention from the younger.

2　 ﹒　Shizuku had to maintain such an extremely mature personality for oh so long, it’s hard to lose that unless she’s regressed, unfortunately. It surely didn’t take long for Shiho to notice the change in Shizuku’s personality, even if she was still her normal clingy self. I believe Shiho first understood what was going on after taking care of another one of her band mates, she recognized the patterns in personality as well as she recognizes notes on her guitar. 

3　 ﹒　Shiho’s dislike for her sisters inability to not latch onto her seems to fade away once her sister is regressed, even if she’s still not entirely fond of her touch or her need for attention, she doesn’t entirely mind it, so long as it’s Shizuku.

4　 ﹒　Shizuku is awful with technology, this is no secret to Shiho. So, whenever Shiho believes Shizuku should regress, or seems to be overworking herself with other activities, Shiho will absolutely put on one of those baby sensory videos onto an iPad with parental locks on it for Shizuku to watch, it works like a charm.

Finding a suitable film to satisfy his needs when he’s in a completely different mindset might as well drive him mad! He’s found an interest in some cartoons, but the majority are just. So. Boring!

2　 ﹒　A big crier! He will sob and sob if something doesn’t come out perfect whenever he decides he wants to create! He is THE Mr. Reca, after-all! Perfection is the only level he should be able to sustain.

3　 ﹒　Absolutely adores lullabies. Have you heard that little “an island full of bananas!!” jam?! Perfect. It would send him into a sound sleep instantly! 

4　 ﹒　Isn’t entirely aware he regresses, it simply happens at times. His monkeys and assistants are his biggest “caretakers” when little, and he finds himself trying to grab at their tails on occasion.

1　 ﹒　Should there be a moment Mizuki feels dysphoric, in any way, shape, or form, A will make it her ultimate duty to brighten her day. However, sometimes, this act backfires, and leaves An a little more stressed than she should be. This often results in her regressing by default.

2　 ﹒　Mizuki will try her absolute hardest to help out the girl, but, it’s rather hard when she’s upset over something Mizuki can’t seem to make out. Her struggling to understand only increases those intense emotions An’s having. This, alone, leaves Mizuki stressed herself, to soothe someone oh so dear to her over something she cannot comprehend.

3　 ﹒　Being so dysphoric and so anxious at once is most definitely not a comfortable combination, especially with someone usually oh so very cheerful being upset. At some point, Mizuki herself will regress, and those feelings only seem to intensify once this sweet baby girl feels like she’s done something wrong.

4　 ﹒　However, through the communication of baby babbles, the two eventually come to an understanding of their feelings, no matter the sniffles and sobs and desperate pulling on eachothers sleeves. 

5　 ﹒　Perhaps, An regressed a little too small for her liking that day, and perhaps, Mizuki blamed herself for that entire situation for a few days following.

However, in that moment, An made sure Mizuki knew that she loved her for who she was, through the magic of decorating each other in countless bows for hours at a time and falling asleep with one another held in their arms. 

Mizuki made sure to properly thank An in the morning, with a big hug.

1　 ﹒　Eek! He would absolutely call her “Li’l sis”, in heavy reference to her own nickname for him! Akito would love to challenge her about it when they’re both big, too. Sure, he’s younger, but she’s the little one! Makes no sense. It’s his biggest defence, hehe.

2　 ﹒　During the events of Mizu5, Mizuki shot Akito a text for his birthday. I believe he would have taken that opportunity to try and let her regress, even if it was over the phone. Hell, she might not go to school regularly, but Akito hadn’t seen her in forever. Not even Ena had mentioned her to him, plus, she seemed off. What better thing to do when you’re stressed is there than regressing?

It surely didn’t work well, but, I imagine Akito was relieved when he saw her again at school, looking at least a bit happier. After school that day, he probably, very awkwardly, suggested she try regressing.

He may not ask about it, he’s not sure he has that big of a place to ask about something that was, surely, that stressful for Mizuki. But, he’ll always try and take care of her, to show her he cares. 

3　 ﹒　Mizuki would make it her life purpose to tease and taunt Akito, even when regressed. God forbid he falls asleep at some point and she begins to feel small, she will absolutely cover him in pretty pink bows and sharpie (but, she might do that while big too, let’s be honest.)

4　 ﹒　Mizuki always catches him off guard with it, too! They could be discussing how Tsukasa and Rui are thiiiiis close to blowing up the school again, and Mizuki will suddenly turn to him with a “Akiiiiii…”

5　 ﹒　I imagine she craves a bit of validation and reassurance, but Akito isn’t that great with that when it’s not immediately obvious to him someone needs it. So, she will huff and pout until he figures it out — which will absolutely be followed by calling her such a pretty little baby.

He would use Light Snow to his advantage in hide and seek, tickle you half to death, everything! However, he’s always sure to make up for it after with a sweet treat, or cuddles.

2　 ﹒　Very keen on nap time, but not strict, he’s yet to fully grasp that whole trait yet. If you don’t want to sleep, he’ll get super conflicted! Yes… you should sleep, but if you don’t WANT to, there’s not much he can do, is there? However, if him napping right by your side is what convinces you, he’s willing to put work and duties away for a while, juuusssttt so his baby gets some rest.

3　 ﹒　A big brother! He would be content just letting you watch him scroll on his phone for a few minutes if that’s what you’d like, he would leave you money to spend on yourself once you’re big, everything! 

4　 ﹒　He adores coming up with nicknames for you when you’re little, but always gets a little wary of actually using them. I think he’d have a few minutes of reviewing what nicknames you like and not each time.

1　 ﹒　Contrary to popular belief, Tighnari doesn’t exactly mind people touching that big fluffy tail of his, nor his long pointed ears. I believe, as his little, he would let you weave your little fingers through his fur for hours at a time. Occasionally, his tail will begin to wag behind his back and you’ll be sent into a fit of giggles — it’s a cycle he wouldn’t break for the world.

2　 ﹒　Very much so a teaching figure, always keen on taking you out on patrol with him to look at all of the pretty bugs and plants. He’ll spot out birds and small scurrying animals for you to quickly see. (Should you miss it and get upset, he will scan through a biiiiig book filled with information galore, flipping through pages with those sharp nails of his till he finds what you missed. Then, he’ll read off facts and show off the silly pictures.)

3　 ﹒　“Oh, birdie.. shhh.. it’s okay, Papa Nari’s here, little one. Here, would a story turn that frown upside down, baby?”

4　 ﹒　He would hold your hand absolutely everywhere, and give such small reassuring squeezes whenever he notices you being discontent. He’s very observant, and can hear all sorts of sudden changes in your breathing and heart rate easily. 

5　 ﹒　So skilled in all things little ones need, it’s crazy! He would be able to detect your needs from a mile away. This includes him being super perceptive when it comes to you feeling little, it’s the tiny things that convince him!
