I don't know if you will see this message. But I want to tell you something. Please work on error in code as a project. 20 years from now, 30 years from now, however long it takes, I truly do want to see it being made into a separate book. Something OG media. Because it is too good. Too damn good for it to end here.

I had so much fun with the world-building and want to elaborate on it, I want to make the characters mine, add aspects to the story that wouldn't have fit into a fic and cut some that were written specifically *because* it is a fic. I really do want to turn it into an OG story. It's going to take a while, that is for sure, but I started working on it already.

And I'm incredibly grateful for messages or comments like these, that give me more motivation to work on it. (Because of course there's always that voice in my head saying "people enjoyed it as a fic, but it's too mediocre for a real OG story")

nobody from the empire saw dimitri after the academy so they dont recognize him. edelgard's subconscious did go for a moment like "... dee?? nah it cant be him. i would never had got a crush over someone who turned having this ugly hair". on the other hand, byleth is thinking a way to stole the prisoner away and bring him to her tend. monica doesnt complaing at all.

they all eventually forget about the war: the king of faerghus mysteriously disappeared, the kingdom army went to look for him leaving rhea and the church alone so she just thought "well i guess ill come back to zanado"; dimitri and byleth get married so edelgard starts planning the wedding and gets carried away. ferdinand keeps screaming they got the freaking king of faerghus while dimileth kisses behind a beautiful altar

Ooooh these sound interesting and I will definitely check them out, especially the ones that are for fandoms I know! I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to give me these fic recs! but these aren't really what I'm looking for and I'll be real 90% of the fics people have recommended to me in the comments of that video are not what I'm looking for either. Most soulmate aus have the plot point of being like "I don't love my soulmate" or "I'm not good enough for my soulmate" because that's really the only way to create conflict when they're already meant to be. Like if it ends with the soulmates together happily ever after, no matter how rocky the middle, it's not what I'm looking for. Fate is a narrative force that is its most powerful in tragedies and so it's so confusing to see it act as a force of good
