Hey! I would like it if you could make a rountine for me please. I wake up at 6:30. Leave for university in an hour. Come back at 2:00. And sleep around 12:00. I would like for you to add activities like slot for studies( i normally study for 2 hours), and workout for 1 hour. Rest of the day i am free and of course few hours are dedicated for lunch and dinner etc..

morning routine:
6:30am: wake up, stretch a bit, drink water. additionally, you can do 10 pushups, or a one minute plank to start the day
6:40am: take a bath, finish with a minute of cold water (it's good for your health, or so I hear!)/if you prefer to take a bath in the evening, use this as extra time for anything you may need
6:50am: get dressed with clothes prepared the night before
6:55am: eat breakfast - take your time, rest a bit, open your phone and check any messages
7:10am: wash your face, do your makeup, brush your teeth
7:25am: make sure you have everything you need, fill a bottle of water (hydration is important!)
7:30am: time to leave! enjoy your day

afternoon routine
2pm: eat a healthy (or not) lunch. Take your time, you just got home, there's no rush :)
3:10pm: study for around an hour, with breaks when necessary. some examples: a 5min break every 20mins; a 10 minute break every 30mins...
until 5pm: after studying, use the remaining time to read/work on a hobby/anything you want. Try to limit time on your phone - avoid doomscrolling :)
5pm: workout time! grab your stuff and go to the gym - work those muscles, girl 💕
6pm: free time for 20 minutes / if you prefer to take a bath during the afternoon, nows the time! Make sure to have an everything bath once a week, and adjust your schedule to include it ♡
6:20pm: study time! Same thing as before
until 8pm: after studying, use the remaining time to read a book, write in a journal, meditate, anything that might interest you.
8pm: dinner time!
9:10pm: use this time to do anything you urgently need to do for the next day, and prepare your clothes for tommorow.
9:40pm: free time
10:30pm: if you want to, nows the time to turn off your phone. It's not really healthy using it right before bed (I'm a very big hypocrite) but you do you! Use this time to read, think about your day, or anything really - dont forget to do your skincare!
12am: goodnight!!

isn't it weird how if you get up at 7 or 8, do your work all day, then have free time and go to bed at 11 that's absolutely fine
but if i said i get up at 10, do fun stuff in the morning then work in the evening and go to bed late, i could be called lazy, nevermind that i'm getting just as much or MORE work done as i would in a traditional work day
#ramble#idk if this is a me problem or not#i've tried to do the early rise early bed thing again and again and it just does not work for me doing freelance right now#maybe it's bc i used to work at a bar so i'm more comfortable being active in the evening#i love working at night because there's less going on to distract me#what used to happen is i would get up early then fight executive dysfunction all day saying i couldn't do fun stuff until i did my work#then my will to work would hit at 10pm and i'd be up till 2am anyway#right now my routine is waking up later and playing a game or knitting for an hour or so and then working in the afternoon and evening#something something capitalism and 9-5 and adhd don't go together#this sounds like i'm just making excuses but it works and i'm actually getting shit done and sleeping enough so i don't see the problem#i just figured i'm probably going to sit and do nothing for a few hours in the morning anyway so i might as well give myself permission to

i don't want to go into too much detail about my life and how i connected to LT, but just know i am not entirely comfortable with what i am seeing on my dash. a few years ago circumstances lead to me losing my hearing for majority of a year and then became hard hearing for a period of time before i regained my hearing back. its not fully where it used to be but that loss, that hope, and what you take with you on the other side stays with you long after the recovery. i know because i see it every time my mom is in remission.
and then a few months ago, i got a concussion which lead to me being momentarily unable to walk without an caregiver/walker/cane. i worked hard on my PT and now am able to manage on my own two feet again as of three weeks ago.
all i am saying is sure hating on part 4 is your opinion and might not be for you but there are people in your life and maybe on your dash that are reading what you think about people who were disabled at a time of their life, are on their way to recovery now, or got the treatment they've been waiting for. the hardships, the journey, even all the good that happened during allllll that still matters after recovery.

i think togame smells like the warmth of the sun........he puts his head on your lap while you're out in the park for a little picnic and you instinctively play with his hair. his hair is a little coarse and rough to the touch but it's also fluffy and soothing when you stroke through his now untied braid. after a nap, he gets up to put you on his lap so you can bury your face in his hair with his face in your gentle embrace.

no firmer reminder of being an animal than when i do some moderate physical activity and my mental health is elevated by like 1000%
#we have been Struggling to get back into our good habits guys gals and pals#i intentionally started re-ordering my routine to do said physical activity in the afternoon instead of first thing in the morning#since summer heat is coming l m a o and oof it has been difficult to actually make myself do it#but i'm getting better!! thanks to keeping a tally of how many days i do it every week#babbles

Hey remember that dog I took care of for a few weeks last year before I got caught by building management and had to give her up?
Well her owner needed to rehome her for good, and I got my therapist to write a letter recommending Maggie as a therapy dog to help with my ADHD. The dream team is back together!

#chicago life#it's not a scam either...it's all legit#i told my therapist exactly how having a dog helped me manage my adhd#and my therapist agreed it was enough to recommend maggie as a service dog#mostly what maggie does is help me get to bed at a decent time and get up earlier#without her i was staying up till 4am most nights because i work afternoons and there was nothing stopping me#now i'm regularly getting to bed around midnight and getting up around 8 or 9ish#it helps that we have a routine where i give maggie a peanut butter kong and read her a bedtime story#i look forward to our bedtime ritual almost as much as she does

i wasn't that sick but I took a couple days off and I am so frustrated with myself for doing absolutely nothing productive whenever I'm home. does that frustration lead me to change those behaviours, however? no!
#like ugh even after just two days back in the routine of lying in bed like a useless potato sack i feel awful#ashamed and frustrated and gross and unrested#still better than before bc i did spend two and a half years doing that 😄 which is awful#but man i picked out my subjects for my senior years and i know i need to make some serious improvements 😭#yet i have not studied at all. i definitely could have however the Rot#when im at home im absolutely useless just lying in bed#anyway its fine im omw to an evening shuft now so its not fully unproductive#but man yeah i get a bit overwhelmed when i have heaps of stuff on after school. but feek worse when i have nothing#the more things i do the more energy i have#i think having one free afternoon is nice. one later in the week too#but otherwise i feel like i waste those free afternoons so it's better to have work or friend plans#or yeah the library i should start going there after school#ugh. whatever it's fine just yeag

idk but it looks like i might have to start working on the weekends (depending on if that one weekend guy will stay after january) so i'm considering taking a promotion... but i'm still too spooked to be alone in the store in the mornings and i don't think i could get a moratorium on the opening shifts so we'll see

#ignore the crappy grainy quality of my phone camera lmao#she never gives me a heads up that she's going to be here for work; it's always texting me last minute once she's here XDD#she's doesn't like her new job but i do; it's brought her over twice this year already and i'll get to see her again in august#i've seen her more this year than i have the last ten years put together#this was not how i expected to spend my sunday#i planned a solitary quiet day of writing on my balcony and doing laundry cooking and some house cleaning#instead i spent my whole afternoon evening and into the night with her#normally i'm very resentful of anything that disrupts my routine or my plans but#she's one of the exceptions i will drop everything for XD#withoutwords

Very happy right now
#I’m always scared to say these things but for like ten days in a row one of my major symptoms has changed back to my old normal#on the next less stressful day I’m going to try to go back to my old morning routine instead of the one it forced on me#and hopefully this means I’ll soon be back to making breakfast myself and journaling and being happy in the mornings which would#help make absolutely everything feel better even if it means being sick all afternoon yknow#better just the afternoon than morning and afternoon#I think ten days is long enough for it to be a pattern#plus it’s foggy and cold this morning so I don’t feel like I’ve been attacked by sunlight and sweat#and I’m watching a bluejay from the window#a few weeks ago I went downstairs for my med water myself instead of having to ask for help getting it and I think that was the beginning#of it changing so it’s like a continuing thing
