Then discarding your roles and saying how the other has never been more beautiful as you duel across aerial platforms that collapse and burn, along with a giant cross, when one of you wins? Lastly, lying in the wreckage of the theater, holding hands, promising to fight on the stage again tomorrow and every day after, as rivals, forever?

“Give a hero a trial.” “Give a saint temptation.” “And for myself, you.” Like, ExCUse mE?? Gayest shit I’ve ever seen. Gonna live rent-free in my head forever and the use of Christian imagery in service of a sapphic sword fight cured me of my religious trauma for, like, a full week.
