Ok, so still some way to go, but getting there...
He's still half painted, & still a few alterations I might make to bits of him.
He's getting a new shoulder pad now.
My painting still needs improving.
Enough for one day though
Fyi I sculpted him by hand using green stuff, he is 100% just a lump of floppy green stuff.
I guess technically he's a 'proxy' 😂. This lump of green stuff represents this mini... 😃

Cool theory I found
This means that this guy
Is possibly Karl's ancestor.
Imagine discovering that one of your ancestors joined the demons you've been fighting against.

Total War Warhammer 3 update 4.0’s full patch notes are here
The entire Total War Warhammer 3 patch notes for the most recent significant update to one of the best strategy games on PC are now available. Update 4.0 for Total War Warhammer 3 is now available. Players can anticipate new landmarks, a ton of accomplishments, and a brand-new free DLC hero with this most recent significant revamp, which comes along with Shadows of Change, the new Total War Warhammer 3 DLC that introduces three legendary rulers. Aekold Helbrass is a free Legendary Hero joining for all players with update 4.0. The Conqueror of Kislev arrives at a perfect time to help out Tzeentch, and his unusual gift allows him to turn death into life with just a single touch – although Creative Assembly remarks, “Beware, however, as Helbrass is not a generous Legendary Hero, and he can just as easily take that life away again.” 13 new Legendary Landmarks are being introduced to Total War Warhammer 3’s vast Immortal Empires mode, based on some fan-favorite locations from the series. There are also 32 new achievements to grab, including ones tracking victories in Immortal Empires for all the Total War Warhammer 3 races that didn’t already have them. The Total War Warhammer 3 Shadows of Change DLC introduces three new legendary lords for those of you who buy the pack – The Changeling of Tzeentch, Yuan Bo of Grand Cathay, and Mother Ostankya of Kislev. The pack has seen plenty of player pushback over its higher price point than previous such offerings – but developer Creative Assembly says prices have to go up due to the rising costs of long-term support for the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6k8j9brkP8 Total War Warhammer 3 patch notes – update 4.0 – August 31, 2023 Here are the new features introduced in the Total War Warhammer 3 update 4.0 patch notes, which goes live on Thursday August 31, 2023: Aekold Helbrass (Free DLC) - Breathe life into a world of death and destruction as the Conqueror of Kislev, Aekold Helbrass, arrives in Total War Warhammer 3. - Free for all players, this Champion of Tzeentch carries an unusual gift bestowed upon him by his ever-changing Chaos God – with a single touch he can turn death into life! Beware, however, as Helbrass is not a generous Legendary Hero, and he can just as easily take that life away again. - Having left the Empire behind in search of his true purpose, Helbrass was mortally wounded by his mirror image, only to be reborn under Tzeentch as his Champion. With this, he’d finally been granted the motivation he so desperately sought: To Raise Hell. - Aekold Helbrass is now available as a free addition to Tzeentch and certain Warriors of Chaos factions in WARHAMMER III to everyone with a CA Account and can be added to your roster by completing his personal quest chain, The Tale of the True Path. Shadows of Change (Paid DLC) - Three new Legendary Lords emerge from the shadows! - Perform dastardly schemes and trickery with the Changeling of Tzeentch. - Establish and execute grand stratagems on a global scale as Yuan Bo of Grand Cathay. - Conjure powerful hexes and incantations while engaging in witchcraft, flipping campaigns on their head as Mother Ostankya of Kislev. - Scatter magical spells at random with new Legendary Hero The Blue Scribes of Tzeentch. - Expand your roster with 11 additional units, and enhance your troops with nine new Regiments of Renown. New Legendary Landmarks - Added 13 new Landmarks across the map in our continued effort to bring fan-favourite locations from the trilogy into Immortal Empires: - Glacial Caves (Fateweavers Crevasse) - Agrammon’s Menagerie (Castle of Splendour) - Desecrated Grove (Haunted Forest) - Occupied Imperial Palace (Wei-Jin) - Pillar of Bone (Deff Gorge) - Huatl (The Awakening) - Monument to the Ecstatic Hunt (Shrine of Kurnous) - Valley of Many Eyes (Black Pit) - Rampaging Oak (Mordheim) - Wreck of the Talon of Agony (Haichai) - Monolith of the Bloody-Hand (Monolith of Bjorkil Bloody-Hand) - Hall of Rebirth (Lahmia) - Bells of the Lazarghs (Maw Gate) New Images - New achievements have made their way to Warhammer 3, even if they snuck out of Chaos Wastes sooner than they should’ve, and are now earnable in Immortal Empires. - This includes two achievements for each race within the game that didn’t already have them, giving everyone from the Warhammer trilogy the chance to track their ultimate victories on any difficulty, with a second achievement for doing the same on Very Hard or Legendary. - Prove yourself worthy with these mighty challenges and rank among some of the best Total War strategists out there. The full Total War Warhammer 3 patch notes including stability and performance fixes, along with extensive balance changes and gameplay tweaks, can be found here via the Total War website. If you love managing an empire, take a look through the best grand strategy games for plenty of that. If your focus is more on starting from nothing and growing through the years, the best 4X games let you explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate in style. Read the full article

Given how Grandfather Nurgle sees himself as a "Life God" and Bal'thag seems to be a very happy unclean one, what is her feelings regarding the Tzeentchian champion Aekold Helbrass and his ability to have life just spring forth wherever he walks?
Hey, this is a great question! Thank you c:
So, I think Balthrag doesn't necessary has some great animosity towards tzeentchian followers, despite their gods having their huge beef, but she would still be considerably suspicious about them, because they just seem to be always-always-always scheming and planning and tricking and whatnot.
But she would find this particular bit really fascinating and, probably, really cool. Perhaps with some hint of suspicion that there might still be something off about it, buuuut, still pretty neat ability and something she can honestly appreciate.

"If you could steal one of your brother's champions to make your own, who would it be and why?"
Oh.... this is a lovely question. Thank you. Something to lift me from my doldrums.
I’ve given this question quite a lot of thought recently, actually, as it’s such a good one. Here are my thoughts on the matter, for what it’s worth. Taking from all the multiverse here, if you don’t mind, dear sister, rather than limiting myself to one time period.
Khorne:
I like Kharn. Very much. He’s one of Khorne’s very few thinking, feeling followers, and actually a halfway decent sort. No hesitation with this one. And he’d be up there with my Tzeentch choice as my priority targets.
Nurgle:
This was a difficult one, honestly. But I’m going to have to say the Chapter Master of The Purge. We need to talk a bit about his prioritization of targets, granted, but...
Slaanesh;
Eeewww!! EEEEWW!!!! I mean, they aren’t all ba... yes, they are. Almost all of them. I can tell you that I wouldn’t leave many standing, and that Sigvald the Magnificent has been on my “kill at any opportunity” list for thousands of years. Yeah, this one is quite difficult for me. Doom Rider... I’ll take Doom Rider. Who doesn’t like Doom Rider? Nobody, that’s who. If he isn’t available, send me one of those poor, neglected, Sonic Dreadnoughts.
Tzeentch:
Three way (heh heh... glad I didn’t use this with Slaanesh’s entry) tie here. Aekold Helbrass is a big favorite. Vilitch the Cursling: The first thing we’re doing is to give the little guy back all the power. Magnus the Red: My brother in both senses of the word. I think he’s been terribly wronged by my insidious little, bird-obsessed prick of a brother, and I believe we’d work well together.
Neocho:
Doesn’t believe in champions.
Nuffle:
Puggy Baconbreath. As if there was even a question here.
Hashut:
I’ll happily resurrect the entire Chaos Dwarf civilization once they abolish slavery. Until then... everything burns.
Thank you for your question, dear sister.

Found a new fic
With Warhammer Fantasy and Worm again...
First one I found was one where Taylor gets a gift of a certain spellbook from a certain elderly gentleco-man I meant Gentleman...
And now Taylor has been given the Power of Aekold Helbrass, and a body of a Elven Wardancer to match... and in the very first chapter thanks to said power she makes literal Chaos Weed, weed grown with chaos magics...

Huge discovery in the Aekold Holswig-Schliestein connection theory
So while I was editing my previous post about this to give some evidence not just from the wiki.
And I found this when getting the date of Aekold fall.
Emperor Luitpold is Karl's dad. This is before Aekold's fall. It happen in 2492.
Karl was crowned emperor in 2502.
10 years after Aekold's fall. He would've remembered him. He would've been 15 or 25 when it happen.
God imagine that especially for a 15 year old Karl.
Imagine the chaos (pun not intended) it would've caused. A family member of the royal family is a chaos worshipper and is on the run.
Imagine Luitpold reaction to this, he was always describe as a paranoid imagine discovering your family member is a worshipper of the god of lies and change.
Also Aekold was about 26 years when his fall happen (this from liber chaoctia).
I would like to think Aekold as Karl's uncle.

My favourite heroes 🥰,
the Changeling (picture here is from the Disciples of Tzeentch 2022, 3rd edition AOS) as is the picture below. I particularly like the picture above.
The changeling is definitely one my favourite heroes, not for the mini, nor the rules, but purely because of the lore. I like the new mini too.
The plastic mini is definitely better than the finecast before it. So quedos to whomever did that, but I still think they could have done more with it. When I get one (soon) I'm going to see what I can add as far as paint & maybe a little sculpting.
I like a lot of Tzeentch's choices of heroes,
The blue scribes and the gaunt summoner are also definitely amongst my favourite ideas, and nice minis I plan to get (I have one summoner already)
I wish they would bring back Aekold Helbrass, I like him too.
That's why I made my own sculpts for the changeling and Aekold, just purely enjoying who those heroes are.
I'm keeping the artwork below for helping me paint & model my new plastic Changeling mini 🥰
Just looking at how the Changeling is portrayed in the Warhammer pc game total war 3. There's a lot more detail. I'd far rather paint mine similarly to this.
Also it leaves me wondering about converting my Changeling into a different position from the mini.
The mini gw painted is more bland and lacks all the little symbols etc. I'm keeping these pictures here for a reference when I paint my figures.
Also I love this picture from a first edition magic the gathering card, which I think could inspire Tzeentch like paint effect.
For reference, Aekold Helbrass from the same pc game, just so we can see what colours to paint him. This also helps me see where I'm missing stuff on my sculpt.
