3, 15, 28 for the end of year asks 😚
Thank you @luvwich <3 <3 I hope you had a great writing year too!
3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year
I wrote my first ever fight scene this year in Gods and Monsters (chapter 2) and I think I did a good job capturing what makes a high level adventurer terrifying and the everyday violence of the Forgotten Realms setting.
There's recency bias, but I don't think I've written a line as mental as this in a long while:
“Want to taste you, more of you, all of you. Want to sleep between your ribs. Like a knife, mageling.” (castling)
15. something you learned this year
Perfect is the enemy of good (and done!). I write extremely slowly; it takes me about a month to complete a 4-5k word piece in between Life. Part of it is because of the style I favour--I basically write long-form poetry, revising as I go to make the words sound just right. At some point in Q3, I just gave up entirely because I was paralysed.
I decided to let go of that perfectionism with my newer pieces (chapter 3 of Gods and Monsters, and my ongoing fic castling) and it's helped somewhat. I'm still slow, I'm still making next day edits on AO3, but at least I'm not agonising and torturing myself every step of the way.
28. longest fic you read this year
Fun fact: I rarely read long fic!
Aside from Hypercritical, one of my favourites was Greatly Approved by damalur, a Dragon Age fanfic set during Inquisition. It's f!Hawke/Varric, friends to lovers, but the other relationships and friendships are what makes it shine. They aren't just background players propping up the main couple, but real and human storylines. <3
I'm answering asks from this list <3

Chapter Summary:
The final day of filming goes off with a bang, and the wrap-up party spills more secrets than it should.
Fanfic Summary:
All Anthony Bridgerton wanted to do was to turn the highly acclaimed adventure romance trilogy of the decade, “The Sword and the Heart,” into a cinematic masterpiece. However, that task proved to be quite challenging when his leading actress, Kate Sharma, turned out to be the most unbearable woman he had ever encountered.
And perhaps, to make matters worse, when Colin and his so-called platonic friend Penelope Featherington started displaying such intense chemistry both on and off screen, fans started demanding a revision of the original story.

"How Do I Make Myself Start Writing?" (Tips to Get the Damn Thing Done)
Estimated Reading Time: 9 Minutes
I have complained previously about people telling newbie writers to "just write!!!" as if this helps at all. In that post, I was more assessing the reason why people ask how to start writing rather than the mechanics of beginning to write.
Now I am going to come back and give you some basic, nuts-and-bolts tips on how to actually start writing something.
In this post, we will discuss how to develop a good framework for writing. Because I am a plotter, not a pantser, I will be focusing on plotting rather than just going at it willy-nilly. This is just my opinion and my process, so some things may not apply to you; take what you like and leave the rest.
Here's the outline of what we will discuss. I will be including links to previous posts that cover each aspect in more detail if you need more advice on each step:
Plotting
Outlining
Titling Sections
Writing Out of Order
Getting Started by Section
Using Google/Word Comments While Writing
Tools for Motivation
Tools for Concentration
Tools for Revision
Plotting
When plotting, you are not coming up with a play-by-play; that is the outline. People often confuse the two when writing, which leads to them getting overwhelmed.
With a plot, you only care about these components:
The inciting event
The MC's goal
The summit or climax
The end
You can think of your plot as the elevator pitch you'd give to someone when explaining your story; it is a general overview of the piece.
So, if I was looking at my 100k+ fanfic, "A Tale of Two Citadels," I would describe it as this:
"Two Yamanbagiris get mixed up and sent to opposite citadels: one good, one bad. They then have to find their way back to their own home. Omokage steps in and cuts a hole in space-time to rescue his citadel's Yamanbagiri, bringing back Manba from the other citadel."
Now we can move on to the outline, where we figuring how to go from inciting event -> summit -> end.
Outlining
Outlines are tricky because if you add too much detail, then you get demotivated, as I have discussed in my Double Outlining method.
As I explain there, I like to come up with a very long outline, which contains everything I want to have in there, and then drastically cut it down to my actual planning document I use while guiding my work.
When I am outlining, I do not always use chapters, unless I am 100% certain that I will have exactly that many chapters. Instead, I organize things by different scenes.
Sometimes it's possible to use chapters; for example, if I have dual POVs and am switching back and forth every chapter, then the amount of chapters I have is mostly locked in. But if you're doing a single POV, you may find you need more or less than you expected.
Anyway, you'll start with these main components:
Beginning
Inciting event
Climax
End
And then go and fill in the rest. If you are using my Plot Mountain method for adventure stories, then it will look something like this:
Base Camp: Beginning.
Base Camp -> ABC: Lead-up to inciting event.
ABC: Inciting event.
ABC -> North Col: First challenge.
North Col: First break/plateau.
And so on ... you can read the Plot Mountain post for a better understanding of what I am talking about.
Once you have a basic understanding of each scene that will be included, it's time to develop your draft.
Titling Sections
I like to start out with headers for each section or scene, as this helps me know what I will need to work on.
It's easy to forget that your first draft is not your final draft and you do not have to use "Chapter 1," etc when doing it. In fact, I discourage this, because you may very well find you need more chapters, and then you get yourself confused.
Instead, consider using descriptive headers and organizing things by scene when you are writing.
This is an example of what I am talking about, from the first draft of the sixth part of the Eirenic Verses series, Poesy.
Those are the "titles" of each chapter. Once I was actually done with the book, I went in and fixed these headers into actual chapters.
This method is helpful because of what I will discuss next (writing out of order) and because it helps ensure that you're staying on track with your plot points.
If I have already done most of the writing and then realized that I need a new chapter, I make a new header, highlight the "Chapter" part, and then add a comment to it reminding me of what this scene needs to include.
I do not highlight the number of the chapter, because I may very well find that I need another chapter before this one. Then I'd have to renumber it, nuking my comment in the process.
In general, I try to keep all sections within about 200-500 words of each other (depending on how long the chapters are), unless there's an extremely good reason for a given chapter to be much shorter than the others.
This helps the reader know what to expect and how to pace themselves when they are reading. If they're just about to go to bed and say "one more chapter," and then that chapter ends up being twice as long as the others, they might be a bit annoyed.
Writing Out of Order
Sometimes you are stuck on a section for whatever reason; maybe you're not feeling it, maybe you need more research, maybe you're not quite sure where you're heading with it. And that's fine! Just don't let it demotivate you.
Write what part you're most excited about when you are most excited about it.
I usually write the beginning, the climax, and the end first. Then, I add the "sub-climaxes:" those smaller sections of tension, like a fight scene or whatever.
After that, I stitch them all together with the downtime scenes, which will have a bit of momentum but a slower pace.
In many cases, a downtime scene is combined with a moment of tension to make a full chapter.
Getting Started by Section
If I am very stuck on a particular section and just can't get myself to do it, I tell myself to write 200 words in the section, and if I'm still not feeling it, then I can stop and do another part, or give up for the day. In many cases, I end up continuing for a few more hundred words.
Even if I still give up on the section for the day, I have given myself to something to work on when I pick it back up again: I am not confronted with a blank page with no understanding of what I am supposed to do next.
Sometimes, if I am really, really stuck, I'll stop writing right in the middle of a sentence, which gives me an even stronger anchor when I'm ready to continue.
Using Google/Word Comments While Working
Google or Word comments are an immensely helpful tool while you are working, as they help remind you of things that you know you need to add but don't feel like doing right in the moment.
They don't have to be very long either, just enough to tell you that you still have some more work to do on this part.
Then, as you finish, you can either delete them or resolve them, depending on whether you want to remember what you had to fix. I tend to delete them, as resolved comments can still be visible on a completed Word doc when I send it to a beta reader.
Tools for Motivation
Word Count Spreadsheet. Keeping track of your work every day helps build intrinsic motivation and encourages you to keep going, even on days where you don't feel like working.
StimuWrite. I explained this in great detail on my other blog, but essentially it gamifies writing for you.
Pomodoro Method. You've probably heard of this already so I won't belabor the point, but it makes you work in 25-minute-ish chunks where you do nothing but what you're meant to be doing. Because I use Cold Turkey, I don't tend to need it, but sometimes I'm really, really distracted, and then I will put a timer on to keep myself honest.
Tools for Concentration
Cold Turkey. I don't see this get mentioned a lot by writers and I'm not sure why, as I literally use it every single day of my life. It blocks whatever websites you shouldn't be looking at so that you can focus on your work.
Binaural Beats. While binaural beats aren't some Hail Mary thing that makes you into a super genius, they can be helpful sometimes. You can find lots of versions of binaural beats on YouTube or your favorite music playing app.
Tools for Revision
Microsoft Read Aloud. I really like this tool for Word, though it does tend to butcher fantasy names (especially Uileac, I'm sorry honey). This makes it easier to catch typos or notice where you used the same word twice in a sentence. You can find this under the "review" section. Be sure to put it on normal speed or even below normal speed so that you can really capture missing words.
ProWritingAid. I will say that since I have started using ProWritingAid more frequently, I don't find as much value in it anymore, especially with the critique feature. They changed it recently so that it's not quite as thorough. Still, if you're a newer writer, you can definitely find benefit in its suggestions, particularly the "Inspiration" element. It is also good for letting you see an immediate overview of problems so you can just click on them and fix them all at once. I also like its sensory feature so I remember to actually add all five senses to my work.
Beta Readers. Yes, of course, beta readers are very helpful. But you need to find good ones! Ask if a writer on Tumblr that you like and admire will be willing to take a look at your work; they may say no, but there's no harm in asking. Fiverr can also be a good resource. I have found r/betareaders to be hit or miss. A lot of the beta readers on there are unexperienced and don't know what they're talking about.
And that's about it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
I've created a masterlist of writing resources that you can peruse at your leisure, all for free.
The posts I write can sometimes take me hours - they're always intricate, always thoughtful. This one took me about 1 hour to write.
I do this as a labor of love for the writing community, sharing what I have learned from almost 15 years of creative writing.
However, if you'd like to support me, maybe you'll consider buying my book?
At $0.99, that's about 0.11 for each minute you spent reading this post.
9 Years Yearning is a gay coming-of-age romance set in a fantasy world. It follows Uileac Korviridi, a young soldier training at the War Academy. His primary motivations are honoring the memory of his late parents, protecting his little sister Cerie, and becoming a top-notch soldier.
However, there's a problem: Orrinir Relickim, a rough and tough fellow pupil who just can't seem to leave Uileac alone.
The book features poetry, descriptions of a beautiful country inspired by Mongolia, and a whole lot of tsundere vibes.
You can also check it out on Goodreads for a list of expanded distribution.
If you do purchase my book, don't forget to leave a review!
Reviews are vital for visibility on Amazon and help to support indie authors like me. Whenever you love a book, be sure to let the author know! It's much appreciated.

17. what was your first muse?
The year was 1991.
A 13-year-old me had just watched the credits roll on my first true JRPG - the Super Nintendo version of Final Fantasy II (now called Final Fantasy IV).
I was in love. But I was also sad about how the game ended.
I wanted to know more about the "antagonist," Golbez. I wanted a more in-depth redemption story, because even 13-year-old me was trying to redeem any and all anti-heroes I perceived. Something I've never grown out of. ;)
So, I did what any fan does when faced with an unresolved story line. I wrote fanfiction.
This was before the time of Internet or computers for me. So, my fanfic was hand-written on notebook paper. I think I still have the original draft in a box under my bed somewhere.
I didn't know the term "fandom," "fanfic," "AU," or "trope." I just wrote what my heart guided me to write as a young teen with a burning interest in an fairly undeveloped character. (Note: This was 17 years before The After Years, which I still have never touched.)
As I wanted to write a story of Golbez returning to the Blue Planet, I gave my version a human name, his middle name I claimed - "Benjamin." And thus Ben was born, my first muse, 30-something years ago.
When I eventually found the Internet in 1998, I discovered fanfic was a thing! I wasn't the only one who wrote stories like this! :O
One of the first things I did after I taught myself to make websites was painstakingly HTML-coded my hand-written fanfic to my Geocities. This has gone through several revisions, but still exists as Coming of the Darkstar.
Ben's adventures also continue as weekly updates in the Wayrift webcomic, which has been online and updated for over 20 years now.
I've rolled a Ben character in just about every MMO I've played over the years, including FFXIV. He's even showed up as a side character in Spot of Mummery several times as the sorta mysterious dimension-hopping mage that Amon just doesn't trust.
And so it goes!

MAFA WRITING/EDITING COMMISSIONS 💯💯
I could use a little bit more income to pay for bus fares and emergencies, as I currently am pretty much living paycheck to paycheck, so I figured I should open writing commissions :)

500 word drabbles = $20
after the first 500 words, the 7 cent/word rate will be applied for the rest of the words

I'm good at character studies, short blurb descriptions (such as character profiles, blurbs when interacting with objects in adventure games and rpgs), dialogues and technical/academic writing. I can also do PT-BR//ENG translations.
As for editing, I am good at spellchecking, checking the flow and pacing of a story, and I have an eye for being pedantic and asking the questions that help locate plot holes and other things that make people say mean things to you.

Featured Fic Friday!
Welcome to Featured Fic Friday! A day where I, or someone who suggests one, tell you about a fanfic that I really enjoy! Spoiler's under the cut! Today's featured fic is...
Sans Tumbles Through the Multiverse Headfirst by PapilioVolens (Teen And Up, Incomplete)
Sans has finally managed to fix the reset issue. It only required the deletion of a vital character. The barrier is broken, and time finally begins to move again. Recovery is slow, but Sans finds solace in his dreams. By the time he realizes his dreams of other universes are real, he has already grown attached to their residents. And then he's attacked at home and is thrust into the multiverse proper. He finds things very different from how he expected. His old friends don't recognize him, and some of them appear suspiciously older. It doesn't take long before Sans starts to suspect that he may have a larger role in the multiverse than he predicted. I wanted more Classic adventures through the multiverse, so here's my contribution. And cause I'm me, I can't help but try to make a saga out of it. Features Classic being Classic, strange multiversal mechanics, and a sleep-deprived author who 100% knows what they are doing I write ~500 words a day, so depending on revisions, each chapter should be posted within two weeks of each other. I post each as soon as they're done!
An ongoing story that's fairly long already, with a neat concept that I enjoy! Featuring a focus on Classic Sans, which is uncommon for a fic centered around AUs.
The author's characterizations are well written, & the relationships between the characters are fun to read! I'm curious to see where the story is going, & can hardly wait for the next update!
Spoilers ahead!
I think it's really interesting how the author has Classic having met some of the others in his dreams before, & am intrigued about where they're taking that specific plot point.
Not to mention, why does Classic experience pain when someone portals nearby or when he himself travels? Hopefully the author will reveal the reason soon, I'm very curious!
#fic rec#fic recommendation#ao3 fic recs#utmv#classic sans#letting y'all know that i write these the day that i post them#so these are not looked over whatsoever aside from a quick scan#featured fic#mod sleepy

The End of an Era
Hello Invader Zim folks!
For those unacquainted with me, I am a fanfic writer and sometimes-artist who mainly creates for the IZ fandom. I wrote a fanfiction novel titled A Parade of Indignities, which was actively being written and published between the years of 2017 and 2021.
After I completed the writing for it in 2021, I spent the next year doing some revising and editing for it. It was kind of on-and-off whenever I’d find the time and energy to do it. It occurred to me recently, though, that I was revising the fic indefinitely. I was just never happy with it no matter what. I needed to give my project a deadline and then lay it to rest. The enemy of “done” is “perfect.”
So, over the last few weeks, I have wrapped up my little nitpicks, and have discreetly replaced the old chapters with the new over on AO3 and FFN. What is currently posted on both those sites is the FINAL draft of the fic. All edits, revisions, and rewrites have been finished. I leave the fic as is now: a symbol of where my writing ability was at between the ages 19 and 23. I’m still immensely proud of it, and I hope others enjoy it, too!
For those who have read the fic already: none of the fic’s actual storyline or major themes changed. Even rewrites were fairly minor. Probably the most notable thing I changed was Chapter 28, in which I rewrote, added, and removed some scenes while keeping the same ending.
That said, I guess I’m making this post because I realize the fic is old at this point. (Or I guess it’s old in fandom years? It’s so weird going on Tumblr and seeing people tag IZ art and fic as “fandom classics” when they were made in, like, 2019 or something.) Anyhow, I digress.
If you’re an old reader, a new reader, or someone who just stumbled on this post with no other context, I invite you to check out my fic if you feel so inclined! It’s ZADF, it’s hurt/comfort, it includes some minor characters with major roles (if you like Skoodge, Larb, or 777, this one’s for you), and it’s completed.
As I say a fond farewell to this longtime project, I want to welcome 2023 with all the potential it offers me to start on new writing projects. I can’t wait to start a new adventure. 💛

If it is okay to ask a second time: 🤲, 🎉 and 🧠 for the fanfic game? (if not pls just ignore this ask ;) )
Oh that's totally fine! (Barely anyone is sending anything anyway.)
--
🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success?
If it gets a decent amount of attention, I guess. Lots of views, comments, and/or bookmarks. (Warmth and Safety once got recommended twice in the same Twitter thread, so I'd definitely consider that a success lol.)
--
🧠 Pick a character, and I'll tell you my favorite headcanon for them.
You didn't give me a character, so I'll just pick the Bros lol. I love the really common idea that Mario protected Luigi from bullies growing up. (The movie even seems to support this!)
--
🤲 Would you please share a snippet of a wip?
Sure! I considered posting something from the eel scene rewrite (which I can still do if someone asks!). But instead, here's a snippet from the post-movie fic where Luigi and Peach bond over cake and trauma.
Please remember that this is part of an unfinished draft, and will get revisions when/if it's finished.
(For a bit of context: Peach has baked before, but it's been a long time since then, and she's very rusty.)
--
The timer dinged, shaking her out of her thoughts. She nearly forgot to use potholders when taking the cake out of the oven. Fortunately, she remembered before she could burn herself.
After the cake had a chance to cool, she tried a bite of it. It was crumbly, and fell apart at her touch. She frowned. What had she done wrong?
"Hey."
She whipped around, karate hands at the ready.
Luigi put his hands up. "Sorry, sorry! Didn't mean to startle you."
Peach relaxed. "It's fine." She smiled. "What brings you here? Where's Mario?"
"Mario's at his therapy appointment, so I'm by myself today." Luigi scratched his hand. "I'm…bored, I guess."
Peach figured it was more than that. She had noticed how the two were almost never apart. Apparently it had been this way since they were young, but they had become especially clingy after their adventure. Luigi was probably feeling anxious by himself. She could use the company anyway.
"I tried baking a cake today. It came out a bit…bad."
Luigi inspected it. "Hmmm…yeah, it looks a bit dry."
"A bit" was quite the understatement.
He stroked his mustache. "You might've used too much flour, or too little butter and eggs."
"Oh, was that the problem?" Peach smiled, an idea coming to her. "I have enough ingredients left to try again. Maybe you could help me this time?"
Luigi's face lit up. "Sure!"
Peach did genuinely want his advice, but that wasn't the main reason for doing this. She knew Luigi needed a distraction right now, and this seemed like the best way to do it.
The two set to work on the cake (after scraping the remains of the other one into the garbage). Luigi showed her how to properly measure the ingredients, and gave her other advice every now and then. Before long, they had another cake in the oven.
"Thanks for the help," said Peach. "Where'd you learn all of this?"
"My Ma. I've helped her out in the kitchen lots of times. I've always paid close attention to what she does. I want to be able to cook for me and Mario when we someday get our own place."
Peach smiled. She thought it was sweet how the brothers intended to stay together, even as adults. While she'd been raised alongside other children, she'd never had any siblings of her own. She wondered what it was like to have a bond like Mario and Luigi's. To have someone that had been by your side since birth, who understood you like nobody else. She was almost jealous of what they had.
"Thanks for letting me hang out," said Luigi.
“Of course. You're welcome here any time.”
The timer dinged.
Luigi grabbed the pot holders. "I'll get it!"
He opened the oven. His cheery face suddenly changed to one of terror. He screamed and scrambled backwards, bumping into the counter.
#long post#mario movie#(i admit that i did edit a few things before posting...i'm a bit self-conscious lol)

This was something I originally programmed to revise in April but it kept delayed due to many reasons. There are particularly anguishing scenes that required a careful attention to retouch but I had to wait for the right timing to handle that given that the shock of Ash's departure from the screens was still fresh. However it's finally done before Christmas: "Another Step", still my most popular Satogou fanfic text, is now revised to version 3.0, featuring many significant changes on dialogues and sentences to be more on par with my current AU standards and that already have in mind the canon disclosure of the Journeys series. Additionally you can count with an improved English grammar for a better reading experience.
Given how the fanfiction texts revisions have less priority than the comic strips I have no deadline of when I can revise the missing texts that still didn't go through a new check-up! There's still a character directed ask reply I plan to publish before 24th December and the next part of "And So The Adventure Begins" comic is still under development. 😄 Hopefully it's ready before the end of the year, I thank for your patience in the meantime!

Godon & Lanara's House (WIP)
In my LoZ fanfic, The Realm Walker, I've expanded Hateno Village by adding a new house and residents. Specifically Godon and Lanara, and their house is located on the hill beside Link's House.
Okay, yes, these are screenshots from TotK and my fic is (still) in BotW times (except for the post-Wind Waker one...). IDK, I think they may have built up this area some, I don't remember it being this hilly in BotW... Whatever, revising the area...
So if you head up the path up the hill by the tree next to the cooking pot at Link's House, the first thing you'd see when you get to Godon and Lanara's house is Godon's smithy. He's the village blacksmith and is described simply as a "burly, brown haired Hylian man with green eyes and a short beard". (More or less I'm kinda picturing the blacksmith guy from Age of Calamity but more serious looking). Also he's 47 years old and the second best blacksmith in Hyrule (the best is Rohan in Goron City).
Lanara is a witch, she's Godon's wife, and she's not Hylian. She's from a group of humans known as the Xhona (Sho-na) Tribe from the nation of Xilipi (Sy-lie-pie) which is west of Gerudo Desert. She has dark skin, round ears, purple irises, and raven colored hair, which she usually braids with colorful ribbons not unlike the Rito do. Oh and she's 70 years old, but given the lifespan of the Xhona Tribe, she's roughly 45 in "Hylian Years".
As far as everyone in Hyrule knows, there's no other lands out there, so Lanara keeps her true past hidden. She and Godon met when her parent's camp in Deya Village Ruins was evacuated after a Stone Talus showed up 25 years ago. Her parents came to Hyrule to keep an eye on things after Vah Naboris attacked Xilipi in the aftermath of the Great Calamity. (Fortunately for the Xilipians, they kept and refined the Ancient Sheikah Technology developed during the days of the Hyrulian Alliance and were able to relatively easily repel Vah Naboris.)
Godon and Lanara first appear in Chapter 6 of The Amnesiac Hero's Quest, and appear several times in the other fics in The Realm Walker.
Ignore the modern furniture... The bathtub is also used to wash clothes. The wall next to the forge is thicker to help dampen the noise.
Dahkal is their son, he's 23, and he's off adventuring in Hyrule. He appears for the first time in Chapter 6 The Ballad of Kass, (what a coincidence...), but will appear later in Shifting Tides of Fate.
A couple more images, angled so you can see the doorways better.
Closeup of the garden area, Lanara grows food crops in one side and ingredients for her potions and such. As a lot of the plants are super toxic, she has warning labels around the fence.
So, fun fact, the Ancient Sheikah Shrine in BotW was turned into the Hateno Village South Well. I was planing on having Lanara and Godon's Well sub for Zelda's Secret Well but since I'm leaving the Ancient Sheikah Shrines intact, the southern well is now this well here...
This is still a WIP but it shows the basic layout of the house which was my goal when starting. Of course, the inner hallway and storage have no access to ground level windows, so I'll probably add something of a second floor with windows letting in light to those areas. Don't know when I'll get to that though.
(Also another fun fact, the chimney on Link's House appears to be completely aesthetic. There's no fireplace or anything on the inside of the house lining up with the chimney on the outside.)
Also bonus fact...
So in BotW, this shed attached to Link's House is inaccessible. In my fic it's not, and Link has filled this tiny space with as much crap as he can fit in it (mostly weapons), he's a little gremlin hoarder...

I've been browsing this site recently, and after thinking about it, I decided to post my fanfics here to show you my writing chops!
Summary: One man from Saga has revived seven girls as zombies to 'save' his prefecture by making them idols. But when danger comes knocking as supernatural manifestations of one's psyche, seven men with similar powers are revived too as the fledgling idols' bodyguards. This is their story of a bizarre adventure to save Saga Prefecture as shambling zombies! (Crossover between JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Zombie Land Saga, and Pocket Mirror/Little Goody Two Shoes)
Addendum: This is the second, revised version of the crossover story between JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Zombie Land Saga, and Pocket Mirror/Little Goody Two Shoes, done to overhaul and add short/medium-length chapters. The premise remains the same: Kotaro resurrects seven girls and boys to create an idol and bodyguard group to save Saga Prefecture. Witness their wacky struggle to save Saga right here!
Summary: A visit to the Guertena Art Gallery turns into a living nightmare when Shadow finds himself trapped in the Fabricated World, which has been dramatically altered to its even worse or more outlandish state, partially thanks to a living painting's attempt to escape and incurring its wrath. Now they must find a way out, deal with art monsters, and hopefully keep their minds intact...
Summary: What was supposed to be a peaceful second visit to the Starfall Islands turns into something extraordinary when Sonic encounters five beings born from Chaos Emeralds. Five of whom have been meaning to meet him after witnessing his journey over the Starfall Islands three months ago.
Or in short, a one shot story where Sonic interacts with five Archons. And they are fans of him.

My fanfic, “Defenders of the Multiverse” is a crossover story featuring the characters from three different versions of Voltron: Defender of the Universe, Voltron Force, and Legendary Defender. Observant fans will notice that I put VLD’s Keith and Allura in a scenario similar to what DotU’s Keith and Allura faced in the Fleet of Doom movie. This movie was also an inspiration for the whole novel-length fic that I wrote. The movie has two different Voltrons teams teaming up for an adventure, specifically the Lion Force and Vehicle Force teams. My story details a team up of the heroic Voltron pilots of three different universes, with the primary focus on developing the young Legendary Defender characters.
“Defenders of the Multiverse” began as a VLD Plance fanfic, an AU which is a revised version of the “Clear Day” VLD episode. I decided to continue that story with a second chapter called “The Greatest Gift” which led right into my Multiverse crossover fic. The two Plance fics became official preludes to the larger storyline.
In “Defenders of the Multiverse” I also emphasized that Kallura is canon in both the DotU and VF universes. I think VLD Kallura shippers will enjoy both the Fleet of Doom movie and my fanfic. 😉 Besides the Kallura scenes, I really enjoyed writing the Keith vs. Lotor sword fights and the space battles.
Spoiler alert: the “Space Angel” character in DotU was referenced in this story along with the Omega Comet DotU storyline, so look for that when you’re reading.

No Due South Revival For Me Thank You Kindly
Ranty Opinion Time
I do not want a Due South Revival.
Yall too old and there would have to be no Dief or new Dief and I just can't.
Yall too old to be cops, and I do not want to see Fraser moping in retirement or like Admiral Kirk or them trying to do policework or mentor. Cases and wit was a chunk of charm in OG, gonna be hard to master.
If you give em kids, the pairing factions lose out on their head hope canons. While the script before revision or a take maybe a year or so after could have bridged the loss of the adventure ending, or Fraser reuniting with Vecchio or Thatcher or even Frannie if that's the jam, that could have taken time to build out the story and give everyone due...problem is too much time has passed and people's preferences have settled. Fanfic is AU. New canon is just gonna open the can of worms on all fronts. And especially if it's with kids kinda mean something had to change or solidify for some pairs. Which at least OG did not.
American and Canadian relations aren't cute and funny anymore. The interplay and charm of contrast, I can't picture it.
