addam loves to randomly kiss you, sometimes just leaning in and pressing a kiss onto your head while you cook or do anything else

and occasionally, you have to pull away to focus on your task, which made you realize just how pouty addam gets when you deny him the chance to kiss you!

at some point, you decide to tease your boyfriend a bit, so the next time he leans in for a kiss, you slip away and watch as he kisses the air, before pouting

“hey–!” he'll whine and lean in again, only for you to deny him yet another kiss. “did i do something wrong? are you upset with me?”

but as soon as he sees the little grin on your lips, addam realizes you're not mad at him. if anything, you are enjoying yourself right now! so he might just join the fun…

“you do know i'm the driver of the aegis, do you~?” he grins as he slowly steps closer, raising his arms, ready to grab you. “not to brag, but i'm quite fast. i'd say… faster than you!”

and just as those words leave his mouth, addam launches forward and wraps his arms around you, holding you up in the air and laughing, as you squirm a little

“gotcha!” he grins and looks up at you. “now, don't you think i deserve a kiss now? i've caught you after all…”

with a grin on your lips, you finally lean in and give your boyfriend the kiss he wanted so badly, only for him to hug you even tighter as your lips finally meet…

A demigod is going on a rampage and turning cities into glass for the lols and Addam gets tapped by the pope to stop this by becoming the retainer of another demigod that’s exactly the same type of entity as the first one except this time its a teenage girl who can only tolerate the lightest of provocations before threatening to activate her orbital space laser (the one that can turn cities into glass)

Him telling her to cool it or to back down sometimes because she absolutely needed a guiding hand in this regard is not what gave her PTSD! 😭 Her brother goading her into a dragonball z fight that caused grievous collateral damage, killed her ugly surrogate brother-figure, and sank an island did that

Tarius: If you all are against me, why did you save me? You should have left me to die.

first off, mythra and milton are basically your siblings!

they are so damn annoying and they always tease you, but they care for you a lot and they would never purposefully do something that would hurt you

addam has raised those two very well and he raised you with the same amount of love and affection

but he's going to be strict with you as well

you'll learn how to use a blade from him, but only if you have proven that you are mature enough to take care of one as well

he'll have you take care of some animals at home first, to make sure you are responsible enough

and aside from that, he'll train you with a scrap sword, so you'll be prepared for your first real blade

addam encourages you to make your own decisions and forge your own path in life

whether you decide you want to become a farmer, a merchant or a mercenary, he's going to support you!

if you ever bring a boyfriend or girlfriend back home, addam is going to immediately accept them into the family

he trusts that you are able to pick the right partner for yourself, so he isn't going to be all overprotective when you start dating someone

even if you end up leaving torna, addam makes sure that the family (and that of course includes milton and mythra too) are regularly seeing each other

he'll invite everyone over for the weekend every few months

even minoth, lora, jin or haze are going to be invited, as they are close enough to be considered family

We're back with more xenoblade 2 aND SHE KEEPS PULLING RARE BLADES. HOW. WHAT.

First pull of the day is Azami. Sure. Why not.

Next two are commons. I guess it isn't all rare blades but I'm thinking of my fruitless quest for Zenobia in my own game and sighing

The Tora-Tatazo reunion got her a little emotional. It's a sweet scene!

She does really like Perun (who she pulled last time), she'll probably join the party sometime soon

Roommate wants everyone to know that she was in fact kicking Rosa's ass before the cutscene started and showed us losing

Patroka appeared on-screen and my roommate is like "OH! WHO ARE YOU?!"

So yeah new crush. extremely predictable

The fact that we've been interrupted twice in the middle of battles going very well in time for a cutscene of us losing is getting annoying

But we're both whooping and hollering now that Mórag and Brighid are here so maybe it's fine after all

She just said that Patroka and Mikhail are her new favorite members of Torna and I'm hyped! Mikhail is one of my favorites (and I'm always ready to mourn a female character's lack of personality)

Pulled a few blades on Mórag (because we wiped against Mikhail and Patroka. whoops.) and the first blade she pulls is Electra. The absurd rare luck continues

We're watching the flashback with Addam in his cloak and my roommate is theorizing about why his face is hidden and if it'll be relevant later, and...

Me: "So remember how I told you that there was an important character whose model they didn't finish in time for launch?" Roommate: "...Addam?! They didn't finish Addam's model in time for launch?!"

"current praetor is Indoline". That's what Mórag says. Have there been praetors who aren't Indoline? When??

We had to pause for a second to summarize some cutscenes and after that the first question my roommate asked me is "wait, if Amalthus was Malos's driver, why does anyone trust him?", which is exactly the question I'VE been asking since I first played it!

We've successfully managed to pivot from "Mythra's a total bitch and I hate her" to "oh no, you poor girl" and all I had to do was tell her that Torna was a country 500 years ago! So easy!

She doesn't trust Fan la Norne at all and I'm just like "it isn't her fault...it's the brain damage..."

Malos: "That guy..." Me: "What, your boyfriend?" Roommate: "HA! Oh, his eyes were definitely looking down there." Me: "'Hate to see him leave, love to watch him go,' right?"

Oh and then we're doing the Leftheria flyover and my roommate sees the name and she just: "Oh, Leftheria. That's where that fucker lives." Me: "...'that fucker'? You mean the main character??"

We were chatting about the biblical allegories while doing some siequesting and settled on the idea that Addam and Mythra each have some shades of the Adam and Eve archetypes, while Amalthus is the snake who damns them both

It's very very funny that the quest dialogue doesn't change when Mórag joins the party. So far she's been assumed to be a Garfront mercenary (note: not Urayan, DEFINITELY not a mercenary) and asked to join the Gormotti military regiment (lol)

No context roommate quote: "Don't tell me Mórag's above beating children, because I know she's not!"

She just now noticed the cloud ridge and she very much dislikes that the sea can go up. "Why is it doing that?! I don't like the Cloud Sea, it's creepy."

We got to the other side of the ridge and just jumped down and swam to Fonsett. Absolutely not the intended route but it was pretty fast!

People always talk about how great Adam Howden's voice acting as Shulk is, and I agree. However, Peter Bramhill's voice work as Egil is amazing. I've always loved how he conveys his lines with calmness and authority. It demands you into paying all attention onto him.

I feel so silly about being so adamant about not playing Xenoblade 2 for so long. It's really good! Especially the characters! And the characters were what I was worried about. I knew the gameplay would be good, but even that part is really good.
