It’s actually so fucking funny that Katsuki having zero interest in girls is legitimately canon and not just like, a plot device or “not that kind of story” or whatever bc mineta literally exists and is so fucking perv-coded💀like it would make sense for him to say shit like “what the hell do i know” about girls being pretty or “fucking-THEY SHOULD ALL BE EXPELLED!” About girls simping over him if it weren’t for the fact that grape nuts literally never passes up an opportunity to oogle or swindle his way into female spaces in that very same manga💀💀Like its just so fucking funny. Its just.. Kacchan being Kacchan lmaoo. Even after flipping death the bird and blasting himself out of the afterlife he STILL canonically has zero interest in love or spending any amount of his precious time (the rest of his life) with anyone other than midoriya izuku. With the Series Ending
I decided to do this solely based on canon, except for F which are so bad that they transcend the rule. I also put this in the lens of do I enjoy watching them, or do they infuriate me. Most of the ones in G are there because I can't tell who they are from the picture, or are so minor I don't get why they were on the list to begin with
Hawks was the hardest to place because as I've mentioned before I love villain fanon Hawks, and hate Canon for all the missed potential and the guy being shit.
Before the last arc, Deku would have been in C, and I felt most criticisms of him were undeserved. I still feel a lot of them are dumb, however, he's canonically a hypocritical, suck-up to labels, abuse apologist, idiot, etc. As much as it feels like character assassination it's canon, same with Shoji. I also just don't care to read fanfiction of him, and feel he takes a lot of roles where other characters would make more sense. If I'm not already following someone I'm not going to read fanfiction with him in it
Most of E I hate as much if not more than F but the fandom either doesn't write about, or treat them like the pieces of crap they are, looking at Mineta of course.
Fun fact Edgeshot is in E for bringing Bakugo back, and causing me both meta and dramatic issues for me. What the fuck was the point of killing Bakugo to immediately bring him back. How the fuck did Edgeshot know he could do this? How the fuck did he know how to do this? Why the fuck is he doing this for some random teenager he has never interacted with before, in the middle of a war? And now why the fuck does this fucker get to live, no one gave a single fuck about Edgeshot but he gets to live!
Centipeder would have been in E if not for the fact I know what my ringtone for him would be, Red Flags by Tom Cardy
Uraraka owes her rank in B for her arc with Toga, otherwise, she would have been in D. For the plot forgoing her original motivations so they could turn her into a generic love interest. Toga tried talking crushes with her 'twice' everything else regarding that shit, which started before they ever met, is on her
I actually love Endeavor fanfics as most of them either a treat his abuse for what it is, or b I view them as an own on canon Endeavor and his incredible laziness and selfishness. But Twitter exists and they flock to him and his bullshit so to F with him.
Speaking of Fs, Bakugo is a whiney spoiled rotten brat with a silver spoon shoved into his mouth since birth. I hope he never breeds. Damn near every shit thing that has happened to him, was either brought on by himself, literally applied to everyone, he literally doesn't care, and even with the two exceptions I'd give this, the Sludge guy, and being chained up at the sports fest (he should have been disqualified), do not justify his shit
Congrats to Dark Shadow and Tokoyami for being the only hero (student) to make it past B
Needless to say I love villains, Dabi is by far my favourite, followed by Himiko, they are way more engaging and convincing than the heroes. And by convincing I mean it actually feels like they are going to put in effort to make their goals happen, not just wish really hard. I truly wish we could have seen how Shigaraki's goals shifted during his reign over the PLF. We had already seen how he wanted the League to be happy and an exception to his goal of destruction

Chap 429 made me realize I can't stand Class 1A anymore, I like individual students like Tokoyami but as a whole I can't stand them. Their bond is so artificial especially when none of them gave any concern about Izuku's well-being throughout the first year and took Bakuhoe's word immediately. Plus, they are mostly flakes riding off of Izuku's heroism and hard work during the Villain Hunt arc. None of them doing were jackshit about the criminals including "Symbol of Victory" Bakuturd until they remember that Izuku exists. The fact that Hori never lets the students addresses or think about Izuku's quirkless nature after the OFA reveal is something I will never forgive Hori for.
Hori tries so hard to glaze them as this unbreakable team of heroes, but he cheats using plot armor and plot contrivances to make his point seem valid but most of these kids would be dead if the villains were allowed to kill them instead of Hori holding them back with puppet strings. I hate to sound deranged but if some of the students had actually died during the first battle then I could see 1-A actually building a bond and realizing how precious life is and the dangers of being a hero then their concern for Izuku's well-being would seem more valid after all of the other crap they were ignoring about.
Lastly, I hate that damn poem that Hori claims was the inspiration for Deku because it feels like an excuse to justify his narrative abuse of Izuku and deny him any moment of confidence or pride in his achievements. This was supposed to be the story of the Greatest Hero not Class 1-A nobodies. Meanwhile he is too busy celebrating Bakuhoe's moments for during the bare minimum and fans on reddit and elsewhere eat up like its pure cinema or something.
Fair enough it's not that I actually hate class 1A but for some reason I can't simply believe that their dynamic is one of a little happy found family. I just can't and its probably because there's too many characters and we don't get the screentime needed for them to develop such a dynamic.
That is to say I don't hate class 1A like I love the individual characters like tokoyami, iida, jiro and I even love the little groups they have or at least the potential that was in those groups and dynamics.
It doesn't help that it's class 1A that gets the whole we are all heroes thing and the whole we will be there for you Izuku in the vigilante arc. I don't know it falls flat and becomes underwhelming simply because their dynamic isn't well built neither is it well developed. Also them saying they care for izuku seems like it's quite difficult to believe considering that we haven't seen them voice concerns over Izuku's injuries or even visit him during the first war arc when he was in a coma but maybe that's me saying too much because they were in a war and everyone was busy with stuff and trauma.
When it comes to the whole thing with bakugo I personally think that he was supposed to be a minor character for izuku to surpass but him being Izuku's symbol of victory and all of that shows us exactly that izuku hasn't DEVELOPED AT ALL IN THE SERIES!! izuku has continually been an incredibly static character and the ending shows that. Izuku still thought of OFA as a gift from all might instead of his own quirk, he literally never understood the wrongs of the hero system and he never stops viewing all might as this big hero who does so much. Like ugh this could of been things that izuku develops from and becomes a better person but I guess not.
Realistically many 1A members should either be
1) expelled (how is mineta and bakugo still there)
2) dropped out (Iam sorry you're telling me all of these kids parents let them contribute in this bs like are your parents that bad)
3) dead (you're telling me in a field of naive and not properly trained first years none of them have died really?!?!)
These factors would definitely make 1A closer to eachother and would show that they would care a lot more because of what they experienced and what they might blame themselves for what happend previously and it would be realistic/make sense within the series.
Also less 1A members would show just how competitive and tiring the hero course can be (proving aizawas words right) and it would also make the characters big moments that hori gave them have more actual suspense and impact within the narrative and plot.
I have mixed feelings about the poem and the post "the uselessness of izuku midoriya" while I do think it's a good post that shines a different perspective onto things Iam also just not a fan of the concept. I suppose it's because I don't think MHA was built in a way where it's story is a tragedy, like I don't believe tragedy suits the plot of MHA especially when it's not being treated as one.
However, I do think that it could be used as something that izuku starts with at the beginning and then develops into something much more. I think that having izuku choose the name deku and then developing into the name deriku would be fitting just how I would of liked for him to develop from someone whose acknowledgements and influence aren't recognised to someone whose achievements are recognised but not overly praised or anything of the sort something like having him be somewhat of a myth someone whose influence is known but works in the shadows (not literally) but he isn't directly known and isn't like all might. Ugh I don't know how to word it but I hope you understand. I suppose the closest example I can think of is Kim dojka (minus the angst)
(for context this is the poem I assume you're talking about)
Edit
I suppose this maybe better phrasing to what I was trying to say last paragraph.👇

Still tweaking, I have come to the conclusion that I actually hate most things about mha and it's fandom except it's vigilante/villain/support course deku fics. I hate a lot of the designs , I hate most of the fans, and I HATE the creator. There is no reason for him to be drawing all the female students in pros in revealing outfits while no male characters are designed like that.
Thank you non-existent people who read my 6 am rant, I needed to scream this into the void because the hatred in my bones was making it hard to sleep
Hagakure being completely naked is so unnecessary especially when we know making clothing that adapts to quirks like mirios hero costume. Why isn't she just in a suit that has the ability to turn invisible with her??? Why tf is she completely naked when fighting and no one stops her for her own safety????
Another unnecessarily revealing costume is Momo's, with quirk technology she could 100% have a costume that is someone how infused with her DNA to give her the ability to create thing on the fly and be much safer and effective. Even without that she could have a much more covering outfit for her own safety and dignity.
Minetas existence as a whole should have ever happened.
Onto pros, there's such a clear difference between how the male pros are designed personality and costume wise vs how the female characters are. The female pros are usually shown as sexual in some way along with being passive aggressive towards the other female pros simply because they're competition(that one interview) The overall lack of character depth for the female characters in general is crazy.
So many of the fans are fujoshis and general weirdos over the TEEN characters and I've seen so so many mischarcterizing all the characters to make them look better or worse then they actually are. And ofc my avid bakugo hate, the root of my hate prob comes from the fans due to how they acted back in 2020 and are still acting now. People always try making excuses for his behavior towards others instead of just admitting that he was a horrible asshole at one point but he's had character growth and i can see that but the way people just try to act like it never happened or try to say that izuku doesn't even care about the fact he bullied him is genuinely infuriating. Realistically there is no way that being bullied throughout elementary and middleschool doesn't effect izuku in some way, overall I don't truly hate bakugo but I hate his fans.
#mha#anti bakugo#anti horikoshi#give women depth pls#rant post#rant#the issue lies in society as a whole#sleep is calling me#i need to take my meds#help#im gonna rejoice when the final chapter releases#keep dropping banger vigilante izuku fics tho

So I saw this short on youtube of a girl saying that shows with a massive queer audience normalize mysogyny, as in people who ship a queer ship will hate on the woman who possibly stands between them for no reason, or if there's a queercoded male villain and a female villain the male one will be excused. I have to say, there is a lot of truth to that, even from me, a queer woman, I do tend to be biased toward the queer or queercoded character rather than the probably straight female character, even if I don't really hate on them (which I like to think I don't). I don't know how old this short was, I scrolled past after watching it and now I can't find it, but the first example was mha, the main queer "non-canon" ship which is bkdk, and the main "love interest" who is Ochako. I'm sure some of you see why I said I don't know how old that video was, I also don't know if this person reads the manga or anything, I personally don't and haven't seen all of the anime yet, but I have seen a lot of analysis on these characters in particular, and how the manga decieves you into thinking Deku and Ochaco will end up together while the people who ship bkdk are delulu. Okay, that's not totally true, but it does trick you into thinking Ochaco is a badly developed love interest at first. The truth is, she never actually came out and said she liked Deku like that (keep in mind, I am speaking from other people's analysis as I haven't consumed all there is to consume about this, and even that I did I might have forgotten), and in the manga, her arc takes a turn to show that she doesn't, she just looks up to him and wants to be like him. In the manga, bkdk is also very close to being canon rn from what I've seen on this site, and even if it wasn't, saying they never had any involvement with each other that could be read as romantic is just ignorance. The two of them have a deep relationship under the surface, and even if you ship them with other characters, if you ignore that you're not true to the source material (which is fine, just wanted you to know that). And I'm not trying to say that this isn't a good example for the point the girl in the short was making, as I'm sure there are a lot of people who put Ochaco down for just existing, I'm just saying that mha is probably one of the most misunderstood animes/mangas of all time, at least in my opinion. But I (like to think) personally don't hate on characters just for being in the way of my ship, in fact I rarely ever hate fictional characters, there is always something about them I can resonate with, and if I do hate them I think it's deserved.
(unrelated unpopular opinion: I like Mineta and I think they should give him a redemption arc and make him less creepy without fully rewriting his character)

¿What are your thoughts on the controversial Hagakure cover?
Hi cute question mark anon ✨✨✨
I don't think this is a separate issue from how Horikoshi handles his female characters in general so I'm going to talk more generally rant a bit (oops sorry)
also one reason this took so long is that I decided to join in the trend and gave the poor girl some clothes:
The sexualisation of female characters in anime and manga is a big issue, especially when a big portion of them are underage (shonen is the most popular genre after all).
In my hero academia we see this with basically every single female character Horikoshi creates.
Momo, Hagakure, Himiko and Midnight all have "excuses" by the story to get naked on screen regularly. Supposedly it's because of their quirks, however there's plenty of male characters who's clothes don't get destroyed in every fight they're in, even if it would logically make sense for that to happen.
Male characters get to keep their dignity, but females don't get that same privilege.
The only male character that we see get fully naked because of their quirk is Mirio, but that's only one instance, and in every scene after that we get the explanation that he got a special costume made from his hair. If that's an option for him, why isn't it for Hagakure? Why does she have to run around naked in battle? Why do we need "jokes" about others accidentally touching her boobs because they didn't see her? We don't need that, she's a teenager!
Then there's Momo's design which is not only disgusting, but also doesn't make logical sense either. Supposedly the opening at the front is for practicality.
She "needs" to have big areas of skin open to make bigger objects.
Except that's a lie. We never really see her use the boob window for that. She mostly uses her arms to make things. And the biggest space she could have open for big objects is her back. And we actually see her use her back (and destroying her clothes in the process because of course she did!)
Most of the time when a female character is naked she gets objectified by the narrative and/or the framing/camera movement in a scene, while when a male character is naked it works as a form of fantasy fulfillment for the male target audience. I think this is part of "the male gaze" and not separate from it.
Here's a great video about this topic.
There's also the issue of Mineta's entire existence!
Mineta is the other reason I took so long to answer, because I went on tangent about how the concept for his character could have worked, and how I would have fixed it. But I realised this doesn't fit here so I took it out. (I might make a separate post about this)
This character (that Horikoshi has apparently admitted is a form of self insert) exists purely to objectify every single female character that's on screen. Every scene he's in, every line of dialogue he has adds no value to the story. He's supposedly there for comic relief, but most normal people don't find blatant sexism funny.
Some might say "oh but he gets punished for it. it's supposed to show how bad that is". Well yes but actually no. Mineta gets punished for his behaviour, but the viewers still get to see naked underage anime girls on screen. It's not a subversion of the trope if you're still doing the trope.
and Mineta's "jokes" get progressively worse as time goes on, which to me shows that this really isn't about the subversion of tropes/meta humour. It's just an excuse to sexualise female characters.
Thankfully this has seemingly stopped now (after the awful "joke" with Eri) presumably because Hori got backlash for it. He should have been getting backlash from the start but better late than never I suppose.
However Horikoshi hasn't (as far as I know) officially apologised for this. Even if he did stop inserting such jokes into the story, he clearly continued sexualising his female characters behind closed doors.
The Hagakure colour page is the culmination of all of those previous instances.
Horikoshi was able to freely sexualise underage female characters in his series time and time again with little to no backlash, because this type of thing is normalised in anime. So it makes sense that as this went on and he saw how much he was able to get away with, he kept doing it.
The page is truly disgusting to look at. Besides being completely naked there's also the pose itself, the weird barely there censors in the form of "keep out" tape of all things, but also something that I haven't seen anyone else talk about.
Her hand placement always felt weird to me. Even if she was wearing clothes, showing her hands in between her legs like that looks overtly sexual. It also creates this strong "V" shape, that deliberately directs the viewer's eyes downward towards that area instead of directing them up towards her face. (That's why I changed her hands to rest on top of her legs in my redraw)
Horikoshi is a professional artist, he knows what he's doing and he is known for his really intresting character designs. In this colour page, Hagakure is a sexual object first and a character second.
This is why Horikoshi's statement of "wanting to test her colour scheme" rings hollow to me. When you want to test what colours go well on a character you draw multiple versions of them and you basically play dress up by putting them in different outfits and changing the colours around. If he wanted to just test her hair and eyes, he could have just done a portrait from the neck and up.
The way I see it, this is clearly just a poor excuse to avoid responsibility.
The issue isn't just Horikoshi himself, it's about how the sexualisation of women (underage or not) in anime is so normalised that it is presented as "part of the culture", and if you complain about it people will tell that "this is just how anime/Japan is" and that "you should just accept it"
If "part of a culture" promotes sexism then this is an objectively bad thing and said culture SHOULD be changed.

The Great Anime Rewatch of 2024 - Part V
Casshern Sins
First watched: January 2014 Rewatched: January 2024
Original rating: 6 New rating: 4
Prior to this rewatch, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you anything about Casshern Sins. It might’ve been better if it had stayed that way. While watching the first episode, I couldn’t stop complaining how bad the writing was. It feels like the creative team was banking on the show’s style and atmosphere to compensate for its weak dialogue, and I’m not falling for it. The thing I will fall for is the music. It’s really good. But if I want a post-apocalyptic story about robots having existential crises, I’ll stick with Nier: Automata, thank you very much. I lasted five episodes.

Claymore
First watched: December 2011 Rewatched: February 2024
Original rating: 7 New rating: 5
The writing is basic and everything is mid. If one of your deuteragonists is an audience avatar with no personality, that’s not good. Then on episode five we completely switched POVs out of nowhere, and we barely know anything about our original duo. It feels like the author was stalling for time while they figure out what do to with Claire and Raki. I lasted five episodes.

I remember enjoying BnHA, but I never got swept up by the hype. I’m not really into superhero stuff to begin with, and the sub-genre is so oversaturated, the stories almost feel like parodies of itself. Anyway, let’s try this again, and not on a weekly basis. (I refuse to rewatch season four since I didn’t like it much.)
Season 1 - I find it extremely hard to believe that every single student made it out of that big villain ambush with light injuries. At least one kid should’ve been killed or, at the very least, extremely traumatized. But what I appreciate most is that the characters are smart and actually use their powers creatively and intelligently. I still don’t understand why Mineta exists, though. No one likes him. He should’ve died.
Season 2 - BnHA’s strengths and weaknesses are in full swing now. Its highs consist of the sports festival/tournament arc, Bakugo and Deku vs. All Might, and the conversation between Deku and Shigaraki. As for the weaknesses? Well, the neglect of the female characters was thriving. I really don’t like Creati (she can create anything except a decent outfit), but I pitied her—getting roped into a hero internship and do nothing but beauty ads? What the actual fuck? After the Stain stuff, my interest was diminishing and I was skipping bits of almost every episode. Bakugo is my favorite character, and fuck that dog police chief.
Season 3 - Now I’m actively skipping episodes. It’s starting to get redundant at this point (more exams???), the cast is so large it’s collapsing on itself, and there’s no sense of loss. Why should I care about any fight when everyone gets to walk away alive, completely intact, and fine in every sense of the word? This was less evident when I watched these seasons as they aired weekly with lengthy breaks in between. The pacing problem is also exacerbated now, with the stupid forest training bit taking up the first seven episodes, when it probably could’ve been three or four. (I skipped most of them, hence the ‘probably.’) Meanwhile, the villains don’t actually accomplish anything. There’s no reason for me to take them seriously. And the heroes aren’t developing—their powers aren’t escalating or changing, and neither are they as people. The only character who gave me what I want is Bakugo in his fight with Deku.
BnHA is weird, because in this world where nearly everyone has a power, I think it went down one of the most uninteresting directions possible. The cast is far too large, and can’t juggle them all, despite its earnest effort to do so. And while suspension of disbelief is always required in things like superhero stories, I feel like there’s not enough loss. That’s partially due to the nature of the demographic, but stories like these shouldn’t be so terrified of whittling down/killing off its bloated cast. What if some of the UA students felt traumatized from fighting with real villains, or decide that they want to change career paths? Or a former hero student who turned to villainy? It’s a shame that those things aren’t explored.
I still had a pretty good time with the first two seasons, but found myself emotionally apathetic to most of the cast.
The only ones I actively care about: Bakugo, Deku, and Shigaraki.
The characters I enjoy but am not particularly invested in: Froppy, Tokoyami, Todoroki, Ochako.
Bypassing season four, will I give season five a chance? Not sure, since season three was painful to rewatch. From overall fan opinion, the story and writing seem to get worse, and I spoiled myself with Bakugo and am very disappointed to see sacrifices gone to waste and being brought back from the fucking dead.

(Almost) Literally Every Sus Thing About Hagakure
Alright so I’m regretting never posting my theories about traitor Hagakure in the past cause now people are saying that there’s no real evidence against her. So here’s a list of every piece of evidence I can remember over the last 300 chapters!
The mystery behind her quirk
We, and the UA students, have an extremely rudimentary understanding of her quirk. It’s never been fully explained, and Hori even said all the way back in volume 2 that the time wasn’t right to introduce her quirk. This was weird considering that he included this on her character page, which is exactly where he typically explains quirks. Speaking of character introductions....
Hagakure is the ONLY Class A student who has never been featured at an episode break. I went through and checked literally every episode. Even though all 19 other students have been featured multiple times, she hasn’t been even once.
How she got into UA
People have been debating her ability to actually pass the entrance exam since the beginning. For that matter, how she scored above Midoriya in the physical exam and made it past the first round of the sports festival too. None of those things should be possible with just her quirk, but we also see in the training montage leading up to the sports festival that she (seemingly) can’t even do a single pull up.
This means that she must be hiding either some kind of physical prowess, support gear, or additional quirk(s) to enhance her performance. Her very existence at UA doesn’t make sense otherwise.
We have literally NEVER seen her seriously fight
Let’s take a look at all the battles she participated in, shall we?
Entrance exam: not shown
Heroes vs Villains exercise: immobilized immediately
USJ attack: not shown, assumed to be with Todoroki but she could’ve been lying
Obstacle course: not shown
Calvary battle: sat on someone’s shoulders, that’s it
Final exams: snuck up on Snipe and ended the fight immediately. Never had to fight
Beast forest: acts as a distraction (runs around some)
Training camp attack: unconscious from the beginning
Provisional exam: We finally see one of her moves!!! For like a second and that’s it
Joint training: threw some punches for a bit. This is the closest we’ve gotten to see her seriously fight but it was uncoordinated and messy
Class A vs Gigantomachia: receives a dose of the knock-out drug from Momo but isn’t shown the rest of the fight
In other words, we have NO IDEA what she’s capable of. Absolutely none. If we did, we might’ve caught on to the fact that she fights with more than just her invisibility.
Hints that she’s not invisible all the time
She slips up every so often. Forgets that she’s invisible. It’s played for laughs, but it’s still sus.
Ex: Telling Ojiro to look away when she changes in the Heroes vs Villains arc, getting mad at Snipe for bumping into her chest when he would have literally no way of knowing he was doing so
These incidents suggest modesty on her part, but she’s also the only girl who ISN’T mad at Mineta for tricking her into dressing as a cheerleader. These two personality traits don’t add up
UA never discovered which League member snuck in and stole intel because the person who did it was invisible
This refers to before the USJ. The heroes that the League must’ve taken advantage of the media frenzy to sneak in and steal the class schedule, but that should’ve been easily confirmed by security cams. It wasn’t because the cameras couldn’t see the culprit.
No way was she actually with Todoroki at USJ
I already touched on this, but I firmly believe she lied about her whereabouts at USJ. Here’s why:
Consider who she claimed to be with and who she told about it. Ojiro is the only person she’d worked with so far in class -- when they fought against Todoroki. When she tells Ojiro about being paired with Todoroki, all she says is “He’s strong!” No details. Just a simple statement based on how little she knows about him, told directly to the only other person in class who had been on the receiving end of that strength. She engineered her lie so it was most likely to be believed.
Her stats in the Ultra Analysis book don’t line up with her actions
As listed on the wikia, Hagakure has a perfect score in cooperation. Yet when she’s working with Shoji in the final exam, she runs off without strategizing with him at all, leaving him in the dark without a plan.
The famous sleeping bag scene from the forest training arc
Early on in the traitor theory, the scene of all the students sleeping was picked apart for any clues regarding the traitor
Hagakure’s bed is unmade with the covers at the bottom. We can see an indent where her body supposedly is, but it’s missing arms. This means that her arms must not be on the mattress, but we don’t see her holding anything. Two likely explanations are:
she’s mad whatever she’s holding invisible, something she’s supposedly didn’t know how to do at the time
she’s not in bed and what we see is a left over impression
Nobody ratted out the Kacchan rescue squad to AFO
This is one of the things that sold me on Hagakure back in the day. When Kirishima makes his intentions known to rescue Kacchan, all of Class A minus Yaoyorozu, Jiro, and Hagakure are there. Yaoyorozu, of course, is part of the retrieval squad. Jiro and Hagakure aren’t there because they’re both passed out from Mustard’s gas. This means that the traitor MUST be one of them because everyone else in class would’ve had a chance to alert AFO
Hagakure is the one who suggested Class A go to the mall that Shigaraki was wandering around in
Just a popular suspicion, but AFO could’ve asked her to do this to help Shigaraki develop
Hori said Toga wouldn’t turn invisible if she drank Hagakure’s blood
Another hint that she’s not invisible all the time
In “Make My Story” Hagakure is shown front and center, posed as if she’s holding Deku in the palm of her hand. MEGA sus and makes me worried about what she’ll do next

what pick up lines do they choose to use when they're on a dare to hit on you? including: bakugo katsuki, kirishima eijiro, todoroki shoto, iida tenya, midoriya izuku, kaminari denki
☆:*´¨`*:.•.¸¸.•´¯`•.♥.•´¯`•.¸¸.•..:*´¨`*:.☆:*´¨`*:.•.¸¸.•´¯`•.♥.•´¯`•.¸¸.•..:*´¨`*:.☆☆:*´¨`*:.•.¸¸.•´¯`•.♥
bakugo k.
cringes at all of the pick up lines he could find online, but uses the coolest ones he could possibly find... "coolest" according to the guy who nicknamed himself Great Explosion Murder God. shamelessly pulls them off.
─Something’s wrong with my eyes, because I can’t take them off you.
─ Do you want to commit a sin for your next confessional?
─Well, here I am. What are your other two wishes?
─I’d like to take you to the movies, but they don’t let you bring in your own snacks.
─I think there’s something wrong with my phone. Could you try calling it to see if it works?
─If looks could kill, you'd be a weapon of mass destruction.
─What does it feel like to be the second hottest person in the room?
─Did your license get suspended for driving all these guys crazy?
kirishima e.
chaotic neutral energy, as always, kirishima has ZERO (0) shame and his confidence actually pays off "cringe" doesn't exist in his vocabulary. picks the manliest yet cutest lines he could find.
─Do you know what my shirt is made of? Boyfriend material.
─I was wondering if you’re an artist because you were so good at drawing me in.
─If you were a vegetable, you’d be a ‘cute-cumber.’
─The sparkle in your eyes is so bright, the sun must be jealous.
─Do you have room for an extra tongue in your mouth?
─Are you cake? Cause I want a piece of that.
─Did you hear of the new disease called "beautiful", I think you're infected.
─Your lips look so lonely... Would they like to meet mine?
todoroki s.
tries his best to find at least some smart pick up lines, knowing he couldn't find any that wouldn't be cringey. somehow manages to look cool and unproblematic
─You spend so much time in my mind, I should charge you rent.
─I swear someone stole the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes.
─They say nothing lasts forever—so would you be my nothing?
─Are you a time traveler? Because I see you in my future.
─Your hand looks heavy. Let me hold it for you.
─You must be tired from running through my mind all night.
─Do you have a bandaid? I scrapped my falling for you.
─If you were a triangle you'd be acute one.
midoriya i.
he suCks at picking lines, sucks at using them. at least isn't as bad at this as Iida. 30% probability of success, he's too cute OBVIOUSLY STUTTeRS
─You know, I’m actually terrible at flirting. How about you try to pick me up instead?
─I hope our love will be like the number Pi: irrational and endless!
─Even in zero gravity, I would still fall for you! (a/n: where my izuocha stans at)
─My mom thinks I'm gay, can you help me prove her wrong?
─Do you want to see a picture of a beautiful person? *holds up a mirror*
─You’re so beautiful that you made me forget my pickup line.
─Remember me? Oh, that’s right, I’ve met you only in my dreams.
─Did it hurt when you fell from Heaven?
iida t.
is so so bad at this,,, acting natural when assigned anything isn't an option for him his bad and corny choices of pick up lines can only prove how wholesome he is, although he obvs lacks some emotional intelligence in that matter uses formal speech ofc
─I just had to tell you, your beauty made me truly appreciate being able to see.
─You’ve got everything I’ve been searching for, and believe me-I’ve been looking a long time.
─Are you a magician? Because when I’m looking at you, you make everyone else disappear!
─Do you have a map? I keep getting lost in your eyes.
─I hope you know CPR, 'cause you're taking my breath away!
─If you were a library book, I would check you out.
─Are you an astronaut because I think you’re out of this world.
─If you were a tear drop I would never cry for fear of losing you.
kaminari d.
just like kirishima, he has no shame in his choice of words. however, there's a thin line between funny cringey and repulsive cringey and that's denki veeeery ambitious
─I can’t tell if that was an earthquake, or if you just seriously rocked my world.
─Any chance you have an extra heart? Mine’s been stolen!
─Are you an electrician? Because you’re definitely lighting up my night! (a/n: lmao ironic i love it)
─I think there’s something wrong with my phone. Your number’s not in it
─If I had to rate you from 1 to 10, I'd rate you a 9, because I'm the 1 you're missing.
─My love for you is like diarrhea, I just can't hold it in.
─If I followed you home, would you keep me?
─I am no criminal but would you mind keeping an eye on me?
special mention:
mineta m.
as expected, overly sexual..borderline offensive tries his best, but not for the best cause
─I was feeling a little off today, but you’ve turned me on again!
─I lost my keys... can I check your pants?
─Are you a trampoline? Because I want to bounce on you.
─Your clothes look so uncomfortable, why don't you let me help you take them off?

matryoshka doll
— Momo is a modern day princess, so it makes sense as to why every single person she’s asked if they wanted to have sex reject her because they felt unworthy. But she’s a girl with carnal needs and if that means having anonymous sex is the only way to have them met, so be it.

⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆
Momo has a secret.
A deep, dark, twisted secret.
It wasn’t so much that it was horrible, humiliating, or even a nuisance for all of humanity, but it definitely was a secret she was keen on keeping until she was six feet under.
Why was that?
Oh, well, you see, it involved one of the most taboo topics in the world: sex.
Yaoyorozu Momo lived a sheltered, elite life. At the tender age of four, she had managed to create an object by replicating a Matryoshka doll's exact molecular structure. She didn’t need to assume that most individuals couldn't compose the doll's molecular structure regardless of their intellect or education. Yet, with a determined gaze, her person and mind no much older than four years old, she succeeded in producing a single, lone, beautiful Matryoshka doll.
But, because of her natural-born intelligence and near-prodigious level thinking, the wealth that her parents held led her to a life where something such as a peck on the cheek was considered scandalous.
Kissing on the lips was considered a "marriage only" rule, and sex wasn’t even a word she knew.
Middle school for Yaoyorozu Momo consisted of her and her private tutors within her home. Her education was created just for her, and she had evening outings with her similar circles to ensure she had an appropriate social life. All in all, Momo didn’t know what sex was until she was sixteen, sitting in the common area of the dorm room with all her female friends who casually brought up the idea of what they could potentially be into, of who they would. Momo would quote: fuck, marry, or kill of three randomly generated boys within the class.
Of course, Momo’s eyes fluttered at the word fuck, having already known it as a curse word, and only as such as Bakugou always seemed to be yelling it. She had wrongfully spluttered when Mina had wiggled her eyebrows at Uraraka on why, oh why she had only chosen to ‘fuck Midoriya’ and not marry him. To Momo, who also at the time, was aware of her current blossoming feelings towards the smart but somewhat flutter tongued classmate of theirs, had been rather confused at the results Uraraka gave too.
“Kill uh, Iida-kun,” Urakaka fidgeted, blushing harder under the intense stares of Mina and Hagakure (who had a mean glare despite not being able to see her). “Fuck Deku-kun, marry Todoroki-kun!”
Momo had assumed she would wish to marry her at the time crush, not choose the option to curse him out!
“Uraraka-san, you wish to cuss out Midoriya-san?” Momo had asked, saving the naturally rosy girl from their pink-skinned and invisible friend. “Why is that?”
“Hold on?” Jirou interrupted immediately, Momo’s undoubtedly closest friend rose from her slouched position next to her, her hand placed on her shoulder. “What was that?!”
“Well, isn’t the, ahem, please excuse my vulgar words, ‘fuck,’ option meaning to curse someone out? As Bakugou-san does to many people when he uses that word?” Momo had asked so innocently, so purely that the girls all almost felt horrible for popping the innocent bubble the modern-day princess was in -- keyword: almost.
For the first time in her life, Yaoyorozu Momo was not the most knowledgable in a subject; her cheeks stained red with embarrassing heat when Tsuyu took charge of explaining the alternate definition to what ‘fuck’ meant.
“You mean babies don’t come in storks?!” she had cried uncontrollably that night. She was utterly overwhelmed by this new level of information that would send her in a spiral of the need to acquire further details for the sake of education and, well, yes, the science of fucking.
From the moment she was sixteen until she was twenty, Momo’s knowledge of sex went from being the lowest in the class, to as it naturally should have been, the most knowledgable person on it. She knew of things, the different branches of sex, where to experience certain types of kinks, and theoretically, where the human body's best parts to touch when having sex. So, the moment she had turned of consenting legal age to have sex, Momo would be lying if she said she wasn’t ready to have sex.
But there was something in her way, something that not even years of studying could help her with, or could change the circumstances of which she found herself in. It seemed that though her friends enjoyed her sudden new-found genius towards the art and science behind sex, no one thought of her as a… sexual being.
“I c-can’t have sex with you!” Jirou had flushed red, her eyes scattering to every edge of the room, refusing to look at the wealthy heiress who had asked her best friend over during their last week of high school to do the deed. “You’re the modern-day royalty: Yaoyorozu Momo! I’m not… qualified enough!”
Momo frowned, “Oh?”
.
..
.
“Sex?” Todoroki had echoed, his eyes alarming wide despite his composed, neutral expression. Momo nodded her head, ignoring the small wisp of fire that emitted from his hair. “Oh, well, I don’t think I can do that for you, Yaoyorozu. It’s nothing against you, but I don’t think I’d like to have meaningless sex with you for the first time.”
Momo winced, “Oh, okay.”
“That sounded a lot meaner then intended, I apologize.”
.
..
…
..
.
And that’s how it seemed to go.
Aoyama hadn’t been interested in having sex at all with Momo. Mina said she was severely unworthy. Tsuyu simply rejected her because their relationship wasn’t one that had possibilities of sexual encounters. Iida said it would be irresponsible of him to take something of value of hers. Uraraka cried about how inferior scum like her had no right.
Ojiro apologized, having been in a relationship at the moment and wouldn’t. Kaminari said him sexually touching Momo would give the world every right to skin him where he lay. Kirishima had blushed brighter than his hair and stammered; he couldn’t without a proper relationship between the two of them. Kouda had run off crying. Sato had mumbled about how he enjoyed setting tea and pastries together but couldn’t imagine putting his tea in and on her pastry, or some weird allusion like that.
Shoji had bowed his head in apologies, saying she would regret sleeping with him. Sero had run away, crashing into a glass door explaining he wasn’t good enough. Tokoyami stated they weren’t a fated pair and rejected her kindly -- she thinks. Hagakure was in a relationship and politely declined her. Bakugou scoffed and told her to look elsewhere. Midoriya had stammered and suggested that he wasn’t the best option. Mineta just was never an option for her.
She had asked eighteen people who had all told her they would help her with anything, and the only thing that kept being thrown back into her face regarding something that she didn’t see to be anything that special was that she was royalty in their eyes. It was fine at first; honestly, it was! Momo had nodded her head, merely retreating to her home and creating an arrangement of sex toys most suited for her. And for a while, it had been enough.
But like the Matryoshka dolls, she was so fond of making, so good at making, she had several layers underneath that shouldn’t be ignored. And her sexual pleasures and gains had been a neglected part of her for too long.
From having the longest, thickest dildo she could make for herself, up her cunt, to the vibrator and fuck machines she should create (because she was not allowed anywhere near a sex shop), she had been blissful. Each orgasm ripping through her pleasantly, causing her sweaty chest to arch off her bed, her legs slamming closed as it burst from inside of her, causing her to bit harshly on her fist just in case. But just as even playing with your favorite game day after day, feeling alone, lonely, and unwanted, Momo found that even her toys weren’t enough.
She needed more.
No one would fuck her because of her status, because of her last name and the wealth that she brought, so she decided that if she was to do this, to gain the human touch she ever so desired and lusted over, she was going to have to erase her identity.
She had found a little place in the back alleys of Tokyo. They were hiring anyone who dared to visit and the only requirement to join was that you were willing to be fucked. Momo had shown up for the interview, face obscured by a hoodie she wore and was hired the moment she walked in with her spandex shorts hugging her tiny waist and fat ass. She had always seen places like this within her porn research but had never actually assumed fuck ho(l)es existed.
She certainly didn’t expect to be put in a wall where only her ass and cunt hanging out and the cold, wet tip of a sharpie marker to write against her clear virgin skin: FREE HOLE TO FUCK. VIRGIN LITTLE WHORE. She could feel that written on her skin, but she was unaware of the words that surrounded her placement on the wall: “put a tally and a review for every pump of cum you shove in me!”
There was no need for a picture by her whole because the people who frequented this place had no desires of that, and so, Momo found peace even as the starting alarm blared in her ear that customers were finally being let it.
To sum up the experience her first night at this joint, the first time experiencing a hot, living, throbbing cock in both her cunt and ass, Momo would have to blush. Her eyes shifting from yours onto the floor as she smiled. A chuckle on her face as she thought back to the end of that four hour fuck feast and remembered that there were nearly eighty-three tally marks on her bruised and blistered ass, of how her cum and all that cum continued to seep from her clenching holes for two days afterward… she loved it.
⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆
You needed to blow off some steam.
Having just been entirely, horribly dumped by your ex and having precisely zero side pieces on the side to fuck, you went out of your way to secure a quick, easy fuck to get your mind off of things. There was no reason for you to simply not join Tinder and ask the first swipe to come over and fuck, but you didn’t want to see a face. You didn’t even want to know their face. As a matter of fact, you weren’t even so much as interested in your own orgasm at the moment than just making someone else cum. So when a pretty woman handed your glowering face a flyer as you were storming around the streets of Tokyo hoping for a sign from god, you almost cried at what the flyer informed you of.
A local... hole in the wall filled with glory holes and exposed asses, cunts, and cocks alike.
Was it destiny?
You sure believed so as you found yourself tailing to the obscure address, praying for the establishment to be open and, for the most part, empty because you had no plans on performing shit in front of watching eyes. Handing a thousand yen over to the admissions lady as your fee to the use of their prized cunts, cocks, and asses, you shoved the black ticket into your pocket and brisked in.
As you entered the back room, the tension in you back and pressure on your chest seemed to melt away immediately at the scent of sex, dried cum, and sweat. It was an altogether horrid stench, to be quite honest, but right now, it sent fire to your core, your lips licking at the walls and corners willed with awaiting to be attended to people. Twisted pleasure coursed through your veins as you walked around, your eyes taking note of the graffitied words around the individual holes, taking note of the black sharpie words on bruised and battered skin, and some cunts still dripping with someone else’s cum.
‘Loose cunt’ one person had.
‘Hasn’t been broken in yet,’ said another.
‘Loves it when you ‘accidentally’ fuck their ass,’ scrawled on another.
You couldn’t help but smile at the twisted humor, moving until finally, you saw one that exposed ass first to the world, eight tallies marked on her skin, and oh, the words painted on her smooth, perfect skin and the surrounding walls pulled you in.
‘Tightest fucking pussy.’ ‘100/10 recommended, been back multiple times for more.’ ‘Slip your fist up her ass, she LOVES it.’ ‘Favorite fucking whore here.’ ‘Would fuck again.’ ‘Slut likes it rough and mean.’ ‘Please fuck me!!!!’
You watched as the shiny slick of her cum slowly seep from her spread cheeks, not quite dripping, but definitely wet with her arousal. Something was calling you to her, your feet stumbling nearly tipsy with this outworld lust and drunkenness as you stopped behind her slapped pink ass. And without much need of thought to wonder where to stop, your hands found themselves grabbing her thick, supple ass and you moaned at the warmth emitting from her skin, of how her skin was so soft, so moveable, so bouncy. It was larger than your hands, your fingernails running against the cellulite, and stretch marks on her ass that made you want to kiss and run your tongue against even more. You couldn’t hear her, you couldn’t possibly know if she had liked the way your fingers dug into her ass, but her ass bounced, teetering with your grip as you could imagine a soft, juicy moan.
“I wonder if you can hear me?” you asked, most likely to no one, fingers spreading her ass, spanking the used whorish skin of hers so that small, tight, clenching pink asshole was on full display for you. “If you sit there for all these hours and listen to men fuck you with their ugly moaning and pathetic growling.”
Her ass rolled in your hands, and you smiled, taking that as a sign that yes, she heard everything, even you. Raising your hand to the bottle of lube, you saturated your fingers with the cold, transparent liquid, turning your fingers down over her still exposed, flush hole. You watched as the lube dripped down, splattering messily around her tight, rimmed muscle, watching her clench and unclench the muscle in alarming beauty.
“I must apologize, princess,” you sighed, looking at the names scrawled on the walls that this cunt and ass seemed to be most responsive to, and number one on that list was princess. “Your daddy isn’t feeling particularly rough today, so I hope you’ll behave with my softer movements.”
You're not quite sure where the reference to yourself as daddy had come from, but the way the ass muscles clenched between the lone hand that held her cheek made it worth it.
Your lube coated finger edged the pert opening of her ass, feeling the way the already used muscle expanded for your finger if a little stubbornly.
“Relax, princess, daddy sees you like being fisted, so I’m going to make sure you feel good.
You pressed your finger in until the knuckle disappeared beneath the muscle, your grin growing into a hazy, lustful gaze when you felt her ass bounce. This moan vibrated all the way to her anal cavity as you wasted no time in adding a second finger. Her ass was tight, the ribbed walls of the cavity bumping and gliding against your moving fingers, and you grinned when she loudly moaned. You didn’t need to be an expert to see that she had never been fucked softly or thoroughly before. She must have been used to the terrible, animalistic rage that the men here possessed when fucking these people behind the walls. If you didn’t know any better, you would assume that she lost her virginity here.
Your fingers curled, stroking and persuading her body to ripple and twitch with your commanding movements, and another finger added in, and another finger added in. Soon enough, you had four fingers in, all save your thumb. The stretch of her ass around your nearly formed ass was incredible; she took you so well, not a sound of agonizing pain was heard through the wall, although you swore you heard sounds of elation. The damn slut did enjoy it.
Your thumb pressed to her cunt, rubbing the slick folds of her pussy, softly fucking the outermost part of her inner walls, much against her approval if the way he ass bounced heavily in need had anything to say about it.
“Ah, does the princess, not like this?” you asked, your hand that was currently not four fingers into her ass stretching out her cheeks even further as finally you retracted your hand out, made a fist, and sunk back in. Now there was a scream. But the way that it shot curling ravenous fires into your core, you knew it wasn’t one of horror or pain. No. It was one of absolute, slutty pleasure. You moaned at the sound, your arm beginning to thrust into her ass slowly, intentionally, and with burning passion and desire to hear her wail again. She sounded so pretty, sounded so slutty.
Your now free hand moved to her cunt, your mind trying to stimulate her more, trying to ignore the way her ass was hot and deliciously tight around your forearm as your pinched and rolled at her clit. Your thumb stayed on her clit, but your fingers stretched to enter her clenching cunt that seemed to be in synch with her ass. YOu moaned in content at the feeling of her inner walls suctioning against your intruding finger, and you laughed upon feeling your moving arm within her ass against her cunt. And that beautiful, pitchy whine resonated deeply again, and your mind melted.
Your fingers and fist doubled in speed, the growing sharp moans through the walls fueling you to move faster, to be rougher, to make her see stars. No wonder why no one fucked her with love here, you thought as leaned down, teeth tearing against her ass cheek that read: mark me, please. Who could stay composed when this fucking slut was this goddamn loud.
“Such a good fucking princess, so slutty, so nice for your daddy,” you grunted, against her skin, your hips snapping at air as the heat and wetness in your pants made you uncomfortable -- the need for more biting through your clothes. “You like my fist up your ass? You like everyone’s fist up your ass, don’t do? Doesn’t fucking surprise me with those stupid loud moans you make.”
Your words were hissed, your fingernails scraping against her pulsating, throbbing inner walls, and then it happened.
Her ass and her cunt clenched against your fingers and fist. And your jaw dropped as a rippling effect ran across your arm that was buried in her ass.
Was that a?
Holy fucking shit?!
“Princess, did your ass just orgasm?!”
A confirming, pathetic moan sent your mind to the moon.
Suddenly feeling as if this was too much for you, and with no way to relive yourself in this type of fuck room, you removed your hand quickly from her ass, your dominant hand grabbing the hanging sharpie on the wall and added two more tally marks on the number of times she’s cum.
You race out of there, the fire in between your legs too much to handle. Well, at least not before adding one more, important piece of information on her ass and on the wall: ‘if you fuck my ass like daddy did, maybe my ass will orgasm for you too.”

As I mentioned a while back, I finally finished writing the Heroes Rising fic, so I don’t currently have any ongoing writing projects. That’s why I finally got around to playing Pokemon Shield, but something else also came to mind that I could do.
I suddenly found myself thinking that I hadn’t gone back and reread TABF in a while to check it for errors. I think I’ve done it twice since finishing the fic, but it’s probably been at least a year since the last time I did it.
Anyway, I was like “Hey, why not?” I always like to have my fics grammatically correct and all that haha
Little did I know that I would be doing far more than that lol
I’m not gonna lie. When I was reading that first chapter, I was cringing cause of all the syntax errors. It was a hot mess lol
Once I read that first chapter, I knew I had to reread the whole fic cause I was afraid there were even more errors 😂
Seriously, how did I not notice this during my other readthroughs? I wanna go back and shake my past self smh
I just wanna take this time to thank y’all for reading and liking my fic despite its many faults. Y’all are the true MVPs 😂
The other reason I made this post is because I wanted to let y’all know about the new and improved TABF in case y’all wanna check out the changes, which aren’t just grammar/syntax changes.
I have actually inserted new content into some of the chapters, but I won’t say which ones since I want it to be a surprise XD
However, I will say I made some changes to how Mineta is handled in one chapter. So there’s a completely new scene focused on him that has been added.
The reason I decided to make that change was because of how some people reacted to Fortune punishing Mineta for crimes he technically hadn’t committed which in turn made her look bad and hypocritical since she got upset when Stain tried to kill Iida for something he hadn’t actually done.
Honestly, I wrote the whole Mineta situation intending for it to be comical. I didn’t think people would read that much into it because I just wanted to provide readers, who hate how he never gets stopped in canon, an opportunity to give him his just desserts. It was meant to be pure self-indulgence for everyone reading.
If I had known that this would negatively reflect on Fortune, I wouldn’t have gone that route. That’s why I have Fortune make this comparison which leads to her talking to Mineta about her actions.
Another thing I addressed was the UA traitor situation since there were questions that I never addressed in the fic that I really should have. I intended for those questions to be simply handled in the background without Fortune’s knowledge, but it really made no sense for her not to question things, so that’s what I did.
But don’t worry, the traitor isn’t revealed or anything like that. I just had questions addressed that really should’ve been brought up by Fortune at some point.
All this time, I’ve always intended to have the traitor exist in TABF. I just wanted to be subtle about it cause I didn’t know all the details. Now, I realize I was way too subtle, so I made the necessary changes lol
Aside from that, I’ve also changed Thirteen’s pronouns to match canon like I mentioned in a previous post.
Hopefully, y’all enjoy the new and improved TABF, which is my Christmas present to y’all! Merry Christmas! XD
#TABF#overall the fic is mostly the same#but there's a lot of good new extra content#although I did change up the end of the costume chapter a little bit#I think that was the chapter that was changed the most#since I didn't add a new scene#I just changed the scene entirely lol

Strictly Business: ProHero!Deku x Reader
Pro hero!Izuku meeting his new personal assistant who is nervous and had previous terrible experiences with Proheros who treated her like a tool. (Reader is female)
This was a really fun request to do! I loved the idea for this and definitely got a little carried away with the word count, haha. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
Warnings: Mentions of sexual assault. Bad bosses. I did not proofread.
You had been nervous when you had started working for the #1 hero. You had worked hard to get here, but it had been a long road, and it hadn’t always been fun. In fact, up until now it had been terrible. When you walked into Deku’s office, you were seriously thinking about undoing years of work and changing your career path entirely.
Your dream had been to work with heroes. Not be harassed by them.
You first job had also been your first mistake. You should have known better than to work with the Fresh-Picked hero, Grape Juice, but you were new to the industry and no one had warned you off. So you became a personal assistant to your sleaziest boss to date.
Mineta had done his best to ruin your life. He sexually harassed you at ever turn, abused his power, kept you after hours and made you do ridiculous things. When you finally gathered the courage to quit, you never looked back.
When you were looking for your next job, you decided it was better to go with an established hero, one who had been in the game a long time. Endeavor, as the former #1 hero, seemed like a solid, safe choice. You were so wrong.
You worked for Endeavor for years, unwilling to quit the paycheck, but the experience was awful. Endeavor was arrogant, with a terrible temper and a hefty helping of sexism. By the time you were in a financially stable enough place to quit that job, you had lost all faith in the heroes around you.
So now, starting your first day working for Deku, you were prepared for the worst. You were sure you were about to be introduced to some fresh torture, but you were ready for whatever he would level at you. Heroes could sink no lower in your eyes.
So naturally, you were surprised on your first day when he seemed…nice. Sweet even.
You knocked on his office door, a combination of dread and resignation swirling in your stomach. You expected a wait, but he answered it almost immediately.
“Hi! You’re my new personal assistant, right? It’s so nice to meet you. I’m sorry I wasn’t at your interview. I meant to be there but there was a crisis downtown I got called in for. I hope you got the gift basket I sent to your house to apologize. I really am so sorry, it’s terrible policy not to have met you before now.”
You had gotten that gift basket, actually, but you hadn’t thought he was aware of it. You definitely hadn’t thought it was his idea, but from the sounds of his speech it definitely had been. You blinked at him a couple of times, trying to gather your wits after that rapid speech.
“Yes,” you said. “I’m your new personal assistant. It’s very nice to meet you. What can I do for you today sir?”
He seemed confused, as though he hadn’t expected a personal assistant to be ready to work. That couldn’t be right though. He was an experienced pro.
“Didn’t they tell you when you got here? I thought we could start with lunch together, so I can get to know you since I missed your interview. I’m sorry, I should have sent you an email.”
Your heart sank at his words, all of your hopes for his kindness to be genuine crashing with it. So, it was to be the hopelessly flirtatious boss who thought you existed to fulfill his fantasies again. You had seen that before.
“I’m really not sure that would be wise, sir. I like to maintain a strict level of professionalism,” you said, making your refusal as polite as you could.
He blinked, as though it hadn’t even occurred to him that might not be professional.
“Oh. I suppose you have a point. Well, why don’t we eat here while we work then? I can ask you a few of the questions I didn’t get to for your interview while you settle in.”
You sighed internally. There was really no way you could politely turn that down, so you forced your face into a smile.
“That sounds like it could work well.”
You were pleasantly surprised when your lunch actually went well. Deku never made a move on you, other than his request for you to call him Izuku, which seemed to apply to all the employees. It could have just been a ploy to get you to let your guard down, but all the same, you wanted to believe he really was this kind.
You two worked together in his office the whole day, and you became familiar with his schedule. He never did anything to make you uncomfortable, and as the day wore on you decided cautious optimism was the way to go. Maybe this job wouldn’t be so bad after all.
You smiled fondly at the memory, chopping carrots on the counter. Across the room from you, the man you had come to know well was pacing, mumbling frantically as he analyzed some old battle playing on his TV.
“Izuku, you’re going to throw off my cooking with all that racket, and then we’ll have nothing to eat.” You laughed lightly.
He nearly jumped 10 feet in the air. “Sorry, sorry! I guess I just got a little lost in thought. Although I guess I wasn’t the only one lost. I asked you about my schedule earlier and you didn’t seem to hear me at all.”
You blushed in shame. “Sorry.”
Izuku shrugged. “Don’t worry about it. Happens to me all the time. Obviously. What were you thinking about?”
“I was just remembering my first day working for you and how terrified I was.”
It seemed silly to you now, but back then you never could have predicted you would be best friends with your boss, let alone cooking dinner for him while working unofficial overtime as a passion project. You never thought that working for Izuku would be what you always wanted.
“Why were you terrified? Just because I’m #1? You’d worked with famous heroes before. I’m no one special.”
Oh, how wrong he was.
“You are special. You were the first hero I’d worked with who didn’t make me miserable. Every boss I had before you either sexually harassed me, overworked me or was just plain unpleasant. Usually all of those. I had given up on heroes before I met you,” you confessed casually.
Izuku blanched at you.
“What?” The word was breathless, barely audible.
“Yeah. I thought you knew my work history. I don’t know if you’ve heard, but anyone with any experience working with heroes will tell you Endeavor is not a super cuddly guy.”
“I…had no idea.” You looked up and found, to your surprise, that Izuku’s eyes were swimming with tears. “I never knew you were treated like that. I’m so sorry. You didn’t deserve that.”
“It’s okay. I have you now.” You froze at your misstep.
He would probably never notice it, but you had. It really hadn’t been your intention to fall in love with your boss, but he had been so sweet and kind to you that it had happened naturally. The way his eyes lit up when he smiled, the energy he had for the things he loved, his strength and dedication had all lead you here.
“I’m not going to let anything like that happen to you again. Or anyone. I’ll make sure your past employers get investigated.”
“Thank you,” you said quietly.
There was silence in Izuku’s house as you stared down at the carrot you had been cutting. In an effort to lighten the mood, you tried to make another joke.
“You know, that first day when you invited me to lunch, I thought you were hitting on me.” You laughed a little bit at the absurdity of it. “I know now that you would never do that, obviously.”
You heard the crash when Izuku dropped the mug of tea he had been holding. Before you could move, he was scrambling to pick it up, cheeks bright red and flaming.
“I-Oh, this is terribly awkward.” Izuku mumbled, no doubt thinking you couldn’t hear him.
“Wait. Were you flirting with me?” You asked, breathless.
“No! I mean…not…not then,” he stammered.
“Are you-” You stopped, taking a moment to gather your courage as Izuku stood, effectively giving up on the shards of pottery at his feet. “Are you flirting with me now?”
He stiffened, looking deeply uncomfortable as he met your gaze.
“Yes. I mean, not intentionally! It’s just that I have feelings with you, but I would never act on them. I would never want to make you uncomfortable and if you feel like you need to resign now because of that, I understand. I would be happy to recommend you to any of the other pro-heroes I know, and I can assure you they would make excellent bosses.”
You crossed the room to stand in front of him, taking one of his awkwardly flailing hands in your own.
“I think I am going to have to resign, unfortunately.” You watched his face fall before quickly correcting yourself. “It seems like it would be inappropriate to date my boss. I have feelings for you too, Izuku.”
Rising up on your tiptoes, you dared to kiss his cheek, hot from his blush and scattered with freckles.
“You do?”
The question is quiet, but you hear it clearly with his breath in your ear, faces still close from where you haven’t dared to move. You pull back now, surveying his awestruck face.
“Yes. You’re one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. I guess it was sort of inevitable that I would fall for you.”
You smiled, biting your lip and staring down at your feet. Izuku’s warm, calloused hand reached up to your cheek, pulling your gaze up to his.
“So does this mean you want to be with me?”
The words seemed too good to be true, striking somewhere deep in your chest and knocking you breathless. Yes. Please, yes, let it be true.
“I would like that very much. If you would, I mean.”
Izuku nodded enthusiastically. “Yes! That was never my intention with this, but after getting to know you, I really do like you. I’m not sure exactly when it happened, but I think you’re beautiful and clever and funny and I would love to take you out on a date, if that’s something you would want.”
You smiled, leaning gently into the palm of his hand that cupped your face, bringing your own hand up to twine your fingers together.
“I think that sounds perfect.”
Izuku laughed softly, and you could hear the emotion in the sound.
“You know, I was so lonely before you. I was really just hoping for a friend when I hired you. I thought maybe we would get along okay and I could have someone to keep me company. I was crushed when you said you liked to keep it professional, but I vowed to myself I would honor your wishes.”
“Yeah. We both did a great job of keeping it professional.” You gestured to your surroundings, snickering to yourself.
“I seem to recall you inviting me into your home first,” he teased.
“Hey! I was having a home decorating crisis! I could not build that shelf myself.”
“Or, as it turns out, with my help.”
You snorted at the memory of your backwards shelf, which you had eventually decided to just make do with. As it turned out, Izuku was terrible at building furniture. He was great at making you happy though.
“Well, it all turned out for the best.”
“It sure did. But I think we can both agree that you’re the one who’s not professional here.”
You rolled your eyes, rising up on your tiptoes.
“How’s this for professional?” You breathed.
Izuku seemed like he might ask questions, but before he could, you kissed him gently. When you pulled away, you were both smiling. Your hands had moved to wrap around his neck, and his hand had fallen to your waist.
“I think I’m really starting to like professionalism.”

one thing thats always bothered me about bnha’s world building is the statistic that around 20% of people in the world are quirkless. out of the couple hundred characters in bnha there are a fair few that have no confirmed quirk but only three who we know to be canonically quirkless: deku, all might, and melissa shield. we know that quirklessness got rarer and rarer with each generation, with shigaraki yoichi stating in chapter 304 that quirklessness has ‘all but disappeared’ with midoriya’s generation. the only issue is, if the statistic of around 20% of people in the world being quirkless is true, it should be treated as far more a common trait than it is in canon.
the bnha manga started in 2014, and thats also when horikoshi established his early worldbuilding, including the ‘80% of the world’s population has a quirk’ statistic. in 2014 the global population was 7.2 billion, with 20% of that being one billion four hundred forty million. for scale, japan’s population in 2014 was 127.3 million, meaning that the global percentage of quirklessness that horikoshi suggested with his statistic was 11.3 times that of japan’s population, presuming that he considered the global population in bnha to be roughly equivalent to that of what it was in the real world when he started writing the manga.
(of course, he could be playing around with the fact that bnha is vaguely set in the future and that the world population has been increasing by roughly one billion every decade since the start of the 1900s, however that’d just bring into question why such an increased population hasn’t been reflected anywhere else in the worldbuilding, or even at least mentioned)
quirklessness, in the bnha canon, is treated as an extreme rarity, a ‘genetic defect’ of a bygone era, despite the numbers suggesting that around 1 in every 11 japanese people should be quirkless. of course, global statistics will vary from nation to nation, region to region, ethnicity to ethnicity, and so on, but even if japan does have a lower than average percentage of quirklessness in it’s population, its utterly bizarre that yoichi would claim that quirklessness ‘has all but disappeared’ with midoriya’s generation. ginger people made up less than 2% of the world’s population in 2014, undoubtedly far less than 1% of japan’s population, and yet they were certainly still not treated as if they were an exception to a mass extinction event.
the only explanations i can think of for this discrepancy is that horikoshi didn’t consider the actual numbers all that much when he decided that 80% of the world’s population in bnha had a quirk, and an editor never bothered or even thought to do the maths either, or that that statistic is intentionally incorrect and is going to explored or disproved at some point in canon, which seems unlikely.
either way, there’s definitely a plot hole regarding quirklessness in bnha. the worldbuilding reflects a society where quirkless people are in the 1%, if even that, despite the numbers telling us they’re basically twice as common as left handed people, whether that’s down to subconscious ableism, genuine authorial intent, or sheer mathematical oversight, its another point we can add to the ‘bizarre worldbuilding features’ list along with UA’s broken entrance exam, I-island’s international status, and why society has allowed mineta’s continued existence
also if youre about to rb this and go off about ‘suspension of disbelief’ and ‘picking things apart cinema-sins style’ consider: i am a hater and i can and will hold authors to narrative account for numbers given once in passing because nothing on this earth gives me greater joy than being a pedantic bastard

other main character meta- Ochako, pt 1
<part 2>
“Could you send me there?” you ask, while i blink, confused. “The world where someone else is the main character? not because i have any hypocritical biases against the one i got, just curious how the fandom meta changes.”
“Oh, yeah, sure.” I nod, thinking, before tapping my wand against your forehead. “Let’s start with Ochako.”
"I'm going to warn you now- I will have to slightly adjust the plot like I did with Mirio, just to actually let her be the main character."
"Yeah, that checks out." You nod, thinking about certain arcs where the female fighting teams get no coverage while the dudes get four different backstory reveals and full fight focus.
"Very well."
The show begins with a brief narration by the girl of quirks and super hero fights- all flashy. Then it zooms out to show the destruction, and a small construction team moving in as Ochako explains that just as there are new careers in society for heroes, there's also a bigger market for construction companies, one of which her own family runs.
"I've always wanted to help them with it, and my quirk would be useful"- a tiny, adorable Ochako finally appears, making rocks in a park float- "but to get a work license like that is expensive and selective- you've got to make a lot of court appearances and convince them why is a good idea and won't destroy the economy. It's much easier to get a hero license."
Then she explains: "Of course, once you have a hero license, you can make a lot more money than just by helping the company. Especially if... Your family company isn't doing very well." A series of tired but loving parents are shown working all hours to make ends meet.
"I want to help them- my parents. They've done everything for me, and they deserve a break. So that's why I'm going to be a hero- their hero."
The training montage is quick, using her quirk during school in training, after school in secret, around the house. She saves up money too, and studies, aiming for a scholarship.
She applies and tests for many hero schools, and the exams all vary widely.
The first episode ends with her looking up at UA, her final one, the one she really hopes to get into.
"Oh, that's nice." You nod. "And we even get to know her parents' quirks here."
"Yep." I agree. "In general, there's a lot more of a look at the financial side. It's pretty interesting."
"And the fandom?"
"Well, certain people get praised for the bare minimum, but I'll admit having a female lead is super uncommon for shonen jump." It's an improvement, though it's up in the air how much of one it will be. "There's also, because we saw a lot more hero schools, a ton of "students at different school" fics, either because they were expelled or because of the danger UA gets into."
"I do kinda feel like this universe is lucky for that sort of world building." You nod.
"It's very cool to see the takes on the aus. But, I will say there's a cost for this world building- the AfO stuff reeeeally comes out of nowhere and tends to not be popular with fans."
The next episode starts, and Ochako helps a boy from falling. "Love interest alert!" The fans notice quickly when the cute boy blushes and doesn't manage to say much before she walks away.
"They caught on quick." You note.
"And they aren't wrong." Not that it's any real feat to be right.
The exam starts, and Ochako is off in a flash. You see a few glimpses of future classmates- Iida, Aoyama, Kirishima.
She does well, racking up villain points and rescue points, until she's a little too ambitious and falls into the rubble. Her nausea is well established by now, everyone knows she's at her limit.
She can't get up.
The green haired boy comes back and stops the zero pointer.
And breaks every bone in the process.
Ochako saves him in return, lifting up the rubble and stopping his fall.
And then vomits violently afterwards.
"You know, I think quirks suck, actually." The fandom tends to agree on this after that episode/chapter. "But it is interesting that there's such a price for the powers, balances it really well."
"Ha." You shake your head. "They caught onto that, quicker."
"Yep." I can't even say it's more highlighted here, it's the exact same way it was shown in our universe- down to the sparkling rainbow puke.
"Though..." You can't quite imagine that's the only thing the fandom is saying isn't actually that great.
"Ding ding ding." I nod. "Did our own main character get treated just like a damsel in distress? Sure, she saved him back, but that just meant she could have floated away on her own in that time, even if it made her sick. Better that than dead. Is it the sexism?" I shrug. "Most decide to wait and see a bit, and by the time they work together in the first battle exercise figure it's a pretty even split between them saving each other."
"So no sexism?" You get happy at that thought.
I cough. "Ah, no. Both in the show and the fandom. You wouldn't believe how many grown men complain about the lady mc, even as they keep watching."
"And have her body pillow."
"Please don't make me think about that." I cover my eyes, but don't deny that it's true. "Anyway, yeah. Get ready for a lot of people to point out that even though the main character is a girl, every single other girl is flat as cardboard so far and that she only has developed friends that are guys."
"Hey, they aren't flat-"
"In the first season? Yeah they are. Unless you meant, physically, in which case..."
"I didn't." You protest. "But I guess I can see your point, at the start."
"Right. Let's continue on."
Uraraka goes to Present Mic to offer her points. The man pats her on the head, and skyrockets to the position of fandom dad.
"It's all about Dadmic and then Dadzawa here," I explain. "The fans were very disappointed to learn Mic wasn't her homeroom teacher, but yeah... He got a huge head start before Dadzawa fics got going."
"Nice. And it's all fanon?"
"Yeah, it may be a good thing he's not actually in it much, or they might realize how much they just made up on their own."
Then she gets accepted in, on hero and rescue points- she's third place overall, and she gets the scholarship.
On the first day of school, she actually gets to know her love interest's name- Midoriya!
There's also the quirk assessment, which really leads to the "expelled to another school" au and the "fire Aizawa and replace him with better Mic" aus, the first of which lasts much longer in the fandom use, but the second one was just as passionate for a while.
Iida becomes the second friend, and gives her the "Infinity Girl" nickname- which actually is the fandom assumption of what her hero name will be for quite a while, a la 'ground zero'.
Then it's time for All Might's first appearance on screen, to much applause of the students, and the announcement that they get their costumes.
During the first battle exercise, there's a lot more lingering camera work in the changing rooms. Ochako gets to expand a lot more on how she didn't want her costume to be that tight. It's uncomfortable, especially when she thinks about wearing it in front of everyone.
"Oh, I forgot she didn't like it at first... Does she just, get used to it here?" It sounds horrible for the plot to just say 'get used to it' to the main character being sexualized by costume makers outside of her control, especially as a child.
"Not on my watch." I mumble, waving the wand. "Don't worry, she'll actually get more costume changes each time, like some other characters."
"Oh good."
Mineta, regrettably, still exists. You find the fandom manages to be even more violent in his removal.
The battle does even out the opinions on Midoriya, as well as lead to a boost in Iida's with his charming little attempt at thinking villainously.
And cements Bakugo as rather hated. No one has really liked him, when the first thing he did was blow up at Midoriya, then get revealed to have called him a cruel nickname all this time. And then specifically hunt him down because all he cares about it beating him up.
"Yeah he's not gonna get a lot of fans here huh."
"He sure never gets first place in the popularity poll." I agree. "Most consider him the subversion of the rival trope to show is just stupid and violent and in real life, people like that don't go anywhere."
"Most?"
I look away. "How dumb of a discourse do you think you could see today?"
"Oh please, show me." You lean in. "It's nice to not have to deal with it in my universe, so I don't care."
The discourse is such.
Bakugo is gay-coded for Midoriya, the violence is a result of him being shoved off for a girl's love interest when she should be single and independent, and the homophobic creator is vilifying all gay people by saying they are predatory to poor straight boys with refused.
"They............... What."
"If it makes you feel better, that's a very brief minority of the fandom. My favorite response to it was "he's not gay-coded, he's bully coded you sanctimonious sumph of a shmuck.""
"Oh good," you sigh. "I'm glad we don't have to deal with actual queerphobic tropes like that."
I stare at you.
"What?"
I sigh. "Nothing, put a pin in that until I bring up the predatory bi thing with Toga."
Your eyes widen, and you start to have some regrets.
"Anyway, we can talk shipping later. Time for more."
The 'exit sign Iida' gives him a boost in being shipped with Ochako, (as well as Yaoyorozu) and also the general idea that "Ochako has two hands."
That one hand can have a boyfriend with a lot of cash to spare for her and the other is also played with.
"I missed the main trio, like this." You smile as they walk off into the sunset after school.
"Yeah." I agree. "Anyway, time for some near death experiences."
The USJ marks the start of the gradual, gradual growth of Dadzawa fics. It also focuses far more on Ochako, Mina, Sero, and Iida having to think strategically to get around Kurogiri. It's only after Iida escapes that we cut back to a slightly abridged version of how Midoriya was doing, then the other kids, before help arrives.
He does still through his first non bone breaking punch though, which makes the audience happy.
All Might saves the day. Aizawa is battered afterwards. Many fans start out by saying they were disappointed, since this was supposed to be the first big fight, and the kids didn't do much. Many others say in response that's the point- we're looking at first years, they had to think and help each other, but in the end they had to rely on adults.
And then the sports festival is announced. They want to do well, because this is how they get work-week placements, which could become internship offers.
Ochako thinks about Hado Nejire, the only intern of a top ten hero, and senior at UA, along with a few others who are on the up and up. She's determined.
"Really? You're bringing in the big three early?" You ask, glancing at my wand.
It's not sparkling.
I cross my arms with a huff. "Look. Nejire is at this point the only intern in the top ten, she would have been recognizable to the students for that, even if they didn't recognize the big three (which really means that they aren't actually called the Big Three by everyone, or at least not a wide enough group for it to be as big a deal as it's treated. Anyway.) But she wasn't, even if she should have been the most famous of the bunch, considering the coverage the first years got in just their first night. That's because a certain someone doesn't actually think of his female characters much, but he has to in this universe, so."
"Ok, yeah, that's fair. So does that change the sports festival?"
"Not... Much." I admit.
“What?”
“Well, keep in mind in the first universe, our main character didn’t make it past the second round in the one-on-one’s. So she’s not exactly guaranteed a win here either.”
You have to nod, admitting that is true.
“And the conflict isn’t so much about having to live up to any predecessor or breaking down some people’s walls via breaking bones.” I tap my wand against my chin, thinking. “There really is two- one about Midoriya, and one about Ochako’s parents.”
“Oh?”
“One, there’s been the Uraraka’s not happy about how much danger Ochako’s been in. Its been hinted at in the phone calls, but really shows up when we get to see them at home before the SF for the first time since she moved for school. They aren’t sure if she can stay there herself, or if the right thing to do would be to pull her out and maybe try a smaller school.”
“I suppose that's fair, if they haven't been able to actually see her or her progress.”
“Right. The second one is- well. in this, Izuku’s win of the first round, and then breaking out of brainwashing, is more about really piling on how good his mind is- all that brain power. This adds more pressure when we see Ochako being offered a plan from him to beat Bakugo.”
“Oh that does sound neat.”
“Yep- but of course, she still refuses. It’s held up as a worse thing, strategically, initially- but then she comes up with a plan that Midoriya confirms in the stands is better than his, and proves to her parents that she’s smart and skilled enough to handle continuing at the school.”
You smile. “That is a cool arc to do, i guess, if very not traditional. But what about all the character setup and growth with Shinsou and Todoroki?”
“Oh, Shinsou’s largely gets delegated all the way later for the joint training arc, where Ochako’s team is directly against him. Todoroki...” I begin to giggle.
You wait for me to answer, getting more concerned the longer i laugh.
“Pocket?”
“Sorry, sorry, yeah. He actually tells her himself in this canon, a bit after stain. Oh! right, i forgot- the cheerleader incident.”
“Oh no.”
“Oh yes. of course they need this merch opportunity! But yes, it happens. The... shall we say, non-body-pillow portion of the fandom, generally saw it as the end of any goodwill to Kaminari, who had previously been seen as a tertiary possible love interest, since he’d flirted with her on the first day. Flirt, but harmless, and unlikely to be important. Then there was that breach of trust and international embarrassment, and anyway he’s basically the second least likely in 1a to be shipped with her now.”
“Wow. So none of that changed?”
“Well, the setup wasn’t under narration from Todoroki about how his mother was bought for her body and how much that sucked and impacted her and the family while on screen we see multiple girls tricked into barring their bodies and its treated as a laugh instead?”
You stare at me. “I’m not sure if that’s better or worse.”
“Neither am I.”
“So, the Todoroki reveal?”
“Right. So, first you need to know the Stain thing- the claims he has against ‘false’ heroes focusing on money is better spotlighted. After Stain’s arrest, Ochako hears a couple of sidekicks at Gunhead’s agency-”
“Wait!” you interrupt. “She still interned with Gunhead? Then what was the point of showing Nejire and Ryukyuu earlier?”
I try not to massage my forehead. “To build up to it. She only made it to the first of the final round, she couldn’t get an internship with a top tenner yet. She’s also got to learn how to disarm someone who fights with a knife. These things build up over more time, small steps.”
“Ah.” You’re satisfied, and let me continue.
“Right, so, Overhears a couple of them talking about Stain’s philosophy and ends up just feeling really bad about it for a bit, trying to figure out if she’s actually being selfish or a bad hero for, you know, wanting her family to not be crushed due to capitalism.”
“Poor girl.” You shake your head in sympathy, the freeze. “Oh. did not intend that pun.”
“It’s alright, i know what you mean. And yeah, she bottles it up for a bit, until the second day back at school. Then Iida reminds her that him bottling things up last week got several kids in mortal danger, and she begrudgingly admits that he has a point and tells them about what has been bugging her.”
“And they comfort her?”
“Well, Todoroki also offers to tell off Kaminari because at this point his mention of stain upset both her and iida, but yes, A lot of reassurances.”
You squint. “I feel like shippers.”
“You’re learning! Yes, Todoroki is just a bit behind Iida in terms of popularity shipping with her. and she does basically get shipped A Lot with each girl in her class too, like imagine double to triple the amount with each girl now, and for the minor guys- but yeah. There’s a lottttt of ships. This was basically called ‘todoroki’s introduction into ochako’s harem’ in the fandom.”
Shipping. fandom just can’t escape it.
“So, then she learns about Todoroki’s past? oh, and what about Hosu? Does she- and everyone else- actually think Endeavor saved the three??”
I snort. “Oh, no. Todoroki’s flat ‘yeah my father totally helped us, as you read on the official report’ basically tipped the fandom off that something else had. But nothing confirmed either, you know? Filling in the hosu gap is another trope in fics that is pretty common.”
“Neat.”
“Yep. But yeah Todoroki tells her his backstory a bit after his introduction into her ‘harem’ of friends. It’s really played up more to caution Ochako- its alright for her to want to help her family, and to work for money to do that. But Rei accepted the marriage offer for money for her family too, and it ended up breaking her. Ochako has to accept a balance- she can work to help her family, and its good, but there are some things she cannot morally do to help them, and other things that she shouldn’t do because she has to take care of her own health first.”
“Ohhhh.” You hadn’t quite expected that, but you sorta liked it, now that you thought about it.
I smile. “It is pretty neat, yeah.” I glance at my watch. “Look, i hate to cut you off, but this post is gonna end up thrice the length of Mirio’s and i think tumblr might stop me, so we’re gonna have to do a two-parter.”
“That’s fine.” You are gracious for what you’ve gotten so far, and do have questions that you’re excited to see answered for the rest of the series. “It’s been fun.”
“It has been.” I agree. “Lets take a break, but you can ask me any questions too, before I return for part two.”

bnha!
Favorite character: Toss-up between Todoroki and Kaminari
Least Favorite character: I just don't vibe with Mineta, but no shade to his fans!
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Oh boy this is hard. I'd probably have to say ShinKami, HotWings, KiriBaku, IidaOcha and TodoDeku. Basic, I know, but I like em anyway :D
Character I find most attractive: Tragically, Dabi. Yes. Really.
Character I would marry: I mean if I was looking for a stable marriage I don't know that anyone in the BNHA-verse would be great, but I think of everyone, Iida is probably the most husband-material
Character I would be best friends with: Kaminari. We have the exact same crackhead energy
a random thought: How do public bathrooms work given all the mutations that exist?
An unpopular opinion: There's no reason Tsuyu should be as popular as she is. I just find her boring and annoying. Again, no shade to her fans, but I simply don't get it at all.
My Canon OTP: Does KamiJirou count? I'm gonna say KamiJirou counts! IzuOcha is also cute though!
My Non-canon OTP: ShinKami or HotWings. I just really love both dynamics!
Most Badass Character: I very rarely watch fight scenes like :O but I have done so while watching Shigaraki wreck shit. So yeah, Shiggy definitely!
Most Epic Villain: Dabi, purely because he's also my fave villain. And because blue fire is a hell of an aesthetic. Shigaraki definitely has more raw power, though!
Pairing I am not a fan of: EndHawks. Just not for me!
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): I really dislike how Iida has been left to fall to the wayside a bit after the Stain arc. Like, he's one of Izuku's best friends, he should be around more. There's definitely too much focus on the origin trio in my opinion. Give me more Iida pls.
Favourite Friendship: Todoroki and Bakugou, for the obvious reason that they should clearly abandon heroics in favour of stand up comedy. The back and forth never gets old.
Character I most identify with: I wouldn't say I identify with any of the characters a ton, actually, but I do guess I'm probably most similar to Jirou, aka the slightly quiet one who likes to not be stared at too much
Character I wish I could be: Yaoyorozu, because I wanna be able to create a segway whenever I get tired of walking 😁
