it's gonna be long but i'm so tired of this lame shit.
stop doing this "both sides are bad" bullshit. both sides have bad apples but hell should not put bad bucktommys in the same "bad" category as people who is:
1. an owner of a big news acount inciting bully and harrassment to a queer black teenager because they got accused of creating a new news account when it's actually a buddie who made that account, and guess what, never appologized!
2. a person who infiltrate a discord space and getting informations like age and sexuality from people out of that discord to X/twitter and let the cult bullying and calling the discord's people "hags"
3. made a tumblr blog dedicated just for wishing harm and death on a fictional character
4. orchestrated on creating some horrible fanfictions with the wrong tags about a fictional character being a child abuser and child killer, and sent the links of those fanfictions to the fans of said fictional character through inboxes
5. changing a fluff ficlet of a ship created by a fan to a horrible abuse story and sending it to so many fans of the ship through inboxes
6. harassing artists by reuploading art on other social media just for your cult to shit on the art
7. creating a fanart and draw a fictional character as a monster and using the term "lizard people" (but hey they got rewarded!)
8. harassing multishippers for creating fanarts and fanfictions for the newer ship
9. sending phising links and reporting as spam to a positivity project
10. you can check on Lou Ferrigno Jr's latest post on X/Twitter about him swallowing an apple sticker and see how many wishes of harms and deaths you can find on the quotes and the replies
11. throwing tantrums and sending threats to THE showrunner over a scene that didn't included on the final cut (the scene not even significant enough to the whole episode arc:((()
12. recorded an X/Twitter space when the black fans there expressing their disappointment about people (actors included)'s treatment toward a certain actor with racism history during blm, putting the recording out so the cult could harrass the fans who's talking in the said space
there are bad apples on bucktommys side. even sometimes i think maybe i am one of the bad apples. but i love how bucktommys never holding back for calling out someone's bad behavior even it's from their own side. so i'm always grateful that i'm on bucktommys side. oh, for all of those points of bad behavior above, we have receipts, bcs we would never speak without receipts.
P. S. certain group of shipper could made a team to investigate who nqueso-emergency actually is but not one of them move to investigate who are these people orchestrating csa fics and made their community look bad? shocker!!!
P. S. S. points of bad behaviors above is mostly about their treatment toward other fans and real life person. i'm not getting deep into their treatment toward fictional characters on the show, especially their treatment toward a certain gay character because when we tried to call them out, they just twist it to "hAtinG on a rAciSt aNd mYsOgIniSt chArActEr iS hoMOpHoBic noW?". well, honey, that character is already change to a better person now and he stated that he's not a good person back then. you know who's homophobic, now? yes! YOU ARE!
thank you for your your service, nqueso, have a great day. and i love you, bucktommys! we'll get through this🫶🏽

Would the ORV characters go to watch the Barbie movie with you?
Tumblr media
Characters : Yoo Joonghyuk, Yoo Sangah, Han Sooyoung, Uriel, Kim Dokja (derogatory)
Warning : contains spoilers for Barbie movie
Yoo Joonghyuk
YES. He'll take along Yoo Mia and Lee Jihye too. The funniest part is he'll also wear a pale pink shirt due to his sister's and lee jihye's insistence. He'll draw gazes EVERYWHERE.
But overall he would like the movie and it's underlying themes. He would also be impressed by how much effort it went into props. Definitely the kind of dude who would listen to you ramble about the movie and would put his own thoughts into your analysis in between.
Would really like the "I'm just Ken" song but will soon grow tired of it because Han Sooyoung kept singing it at every minor problem.
"Why don't you like Ken, Joonghyuk? I thought he would be relatable to you. "
"He brought misogyny to Barbieland. I would never do that."
Yoo Sangah
She would absolutely go with you. I just know she'll rock the barbie-coded outfit
Han Sooyoung
She might also tear up at the Barbie scene at the end, where she sees all the human memories (girl same). Her favorite character would be Barbie. You two will then go to a food court after the movie where you'll spend an hour or so discussing the movie and the layers at which it mirrors the real world.
"Do you think that Barbie was bound to become attracted to the concept of being human the moment she got named after her creator's daughter? I think that —"
She'll say smth like, "Im an Oppenheimer person " to annoy you at first but would go along with you in the end
The type of person who ends up talking too loudly during a movie accidentally, so you'll recieve some disapproving glances.
She'll. Get. Obsessed with the Ken song. She would hum or sometimes outright break into a song after the movie after some minor inconvenience happens.
Hsy : Where's my lemon candy stash??
Yjh : I threw it out. Your brain will rot even more along with that cheap sugar
Hsy : .. Doesn't seem to matter what I do, I'm always number 2, noone knows how hard I tried.. Oh—
Yjh : (tired)
Uriel
She would be the one to ask you out to the movie. Her excitement would rub off on you and y'all will be positively vibrating with anticipation when the movie starts.
Would also get asked out for photos with some people because she looked absolutely "angelic" with her long golden hair and pink outfit.
You know how some people started to ship Allan with Ken after the movie? Uriel accidentally saw a fan art and immediately jumped on board with the ship.
"All of Ken's clothes fit him!— is such a boyfriend statement tbh, don't you agree (y/n)? "
"... Actually, you're not wrong about that"
Kim Dokja
He wouldn't at first get the hype. He'll just assume it's one of those pop movies that are being popular with their mass marketing and aesthetic.
He was pleasantly surprised.
Would LOVE the underlying satirical themes and the songs. He'll watch the end credits too with you.
Is the type to sometimes look at their partner during the movie and observe their reactions to a particular scene.
Would click instantly with Alan for some reason. (You're not even surprised)
"I like Alan. He's just...there yknow. I hope he leaves Barbieland someday"

I'm going to probably sound old when I say this, but every so often I think about the people (mostly women) who pioneered the modern idea of media fandom.
The people who handwrote fic or typed it on typewriters. The people who took their love of their favorourite show/book/movie to the next level and found other people in real life who enjoyed it as much as they did. The people who started mailing groups. The people who were in fandom before the internet even existed.
People who went to the post office to send their friends the latest chapter of their Spirk fic. The people who lovingly made fan magazines.
The people who created true fandom community.
They probably didn't actually think Kirk and Spock were going to kiss because it was a time when a kiss between a white man and a black woman on TV was groundbreaking, but they saw the chemistry and built a beautiful subculture where freaks and weirdos and queer people living in the bodies of housewives and secretaries and nurses and teachers and everyday people you'd pass on the street could let themselves be freaks with each other.
It really feels like we've lost so many amazing parts of fandom in the last decade or so. It doesn't feel like a community like it was even ten years ago, let alone 50+ years ago when you had to put in work to find fandom spaces and then build community with your fellow fans.
Today you can send someone an anonymous death threat for shipping something. People get doxxed for having a different opinion on a character.
Instead of fandom being a space for weirdos lovingly creating art and writing fic about shows and ships it's become almost an exchange where readers/viewers expect content without understanding the work that went into it. Writing still takes time and energy and work, making fan edits still takes skill and time and energy, drawing fan art takes years of practice and love and patience. We've lost the art of being grateful for that effort. We've lost the community created between writers and readers, between artists and other fans.
Idk, I just miss the fandom community. Sometimes I miss the days of message boards. Other days I miss the tumblr before the porn ban where you could make friends with people by sharing porn and talking about what kind of freaky shit you thought your favourite characters got into.
Maybe I'm just old and not evolving with the times, but I feel like the community part of fandom is the best part of it and it's really missing from a lot of fandom spaces these days. It's no longer about sharing an interest with people, it's about consuming content.

Something I've noticed in the Ghost fandom (and others) is some fans feeling "unrepresented" in fanfiction...and thinking that this is a huge moral problem for which they must receive compensation. Which. No.
Does feeling unrepresented in fanfics (and fan art) suck? Yeah, it does. Been there, more than once. Hell, I'm not even really represented in my own actual real life. Does that entitle you to essentially demand that other people make fan works for you, lest they be labeled as "bigoted" or "bad" or otherwise uncaring? No. You're not entitled to people making things that appeal to you, just because.
You're entitled to want this, to feel like you're getting the short end of the fandom stick (and you might be, not gonna deny that), but other people not catering to you doesn't really say much about them at all.
There's solutions to this problem, though. One of them is seeking out people who are already making the kind of fan works you like, that appeal to you/your demographic. Granted, they may be difficult to find (and you may have to look off Tumblr and in more obscure places to find them), but you can't just give up without looking. Look for them, and if you find them, try to develop a friendship or friendly mutual-following-ship with them. (Sometimes easier said than done, I know. Idk how to people, either. But an attempt must be made. God's peed or however that goes.). And hype them up! Promote them! Share the joy with others!
Another solution is making the fan works yourself. You see the stuff that's already here, already made, already in progress? That stuff largely exists because a fan said "I wanna write/draw this", and they went and did it. You can do that too, and in fact you should! Engaging in the creative process is part of the fun of fandom, and you should know and experience this. Now, your skill level may not be where you want it to be or what you think it should be...but since when has that actually stopped anyone? (It certainly never stopped me lmaooo). You have an idea that you'd like to see realized? Draw it. Write it. Who cares if it's "bad"? Everyone's gotta start somewhere, and why shouldn't you let yourself start? Maybe your fan works won't be as popular as others, but who cares? (I never do. Also, fuck popularity. That means you get Perceived™. Gross.). Fandom ain't about popularity. It's about fun and community.
And in order to have that community, you have to participate in it. Even if you're not confident, even if you're awkward, even if you don't think you're as skilled or talented as other people. You gotta do it, and you gotta do it for the love of it.
Teal Dear: In order to get the things you want out of a fandom, you gotta be proactive. Go forth and make some stuff that appeals to you specifically. Be unapologetic about it and have fun. (That's what I do, and I love doing it!)
Okay. I'm tired. I'm going to bed 💤

I hate having to say this because I know the importance of what you and everyone else is doing here but sometimes I wonder if always talking about races and defending Louis/Jacob on this aspects isn't doing him a disservice?
Let me explain, sometimes myself included when I find a group of fans so annoying that I end up hating their favs and I know that they find us annoying because we bring what they are refusing to see.
For example yesterday an artist has draw louis 4-5 tones much darker than his real complexion (mind you they had Armand complexion lighter than he is ,so they can do it) rightly a group of fans came upon him demanding accountability, everyone quoting etc...
Then I read another ''artist'' say, that's why she never does fan arts with Louis and I'm wondering how many think that way and that's probably why he is the lead with the least fan arts (non ship fan arts)
*English is not my native language*
hi and thank u for asking this! if u need clarification on anything I answer here bcuz of a language barrier just lmk in my inbox again, it's no problem.
also let me say first that anyone can give feedback on this. I'm not any authority on anything and I'm an anon account. I talk about topics objectively. It's always helpful to have insight from others who feel comfortable sharing more identifying racial info on themselves and giving opinions on this stuff.
ok so to the actual question
"Then I read another ''artist'' say, that's why she never does fan arts with Louis and I'm wondering how many think that way and that's probably why he is the lead with the least fan arts (non ship fan arts)"
the short answer to all of this is that....it's all an excuse.
how many artists of color draw white ppl every day and yet we never hear about a "struggle" from that side? there is one just the same but if ppl were louder about it, nobody would take it seriously. whiteness is "the norm." ppl would laugh anyone out of the room asking how it could be "hard" to depict a white person??
well. it's literally the same for anyone else. there is no excuse to be unable to do something like this. if an artist is unfamiliar with something then they practice to get better at it. I've known plenty of white artists who can draw ppl across racial identities and don't get feedback like this bcuz they work on improving and *listen* when these conversations come up with other artists. saying u can't draw a black man bcuz the "woke mob" might come for u is doubling down on being racist. not only are u saying it's not worth even *trying* to do the art, ur also saying all criticism makes u the victim and that's the most important part of all. "these conversations don't matter bcuz they make me feel bad and that's wrong :(" that's a typical white response to literally *anything* regarding race. that's a lot of why we're still here talking about this in every space. it's not only specific to white ppl either but usually that's the largest group saying stuff like this. white ppl don't have to think about race, so these convos easily get killed in even the most progressive spaces. a lot of times it makes white ppl feel racist to notice race at all and there's usually gonna be some person of color around to back up that "logic" and say it's "right." that's all it takes to shut it all down. that's a lot of what this fandom keeps doing too.
the only way to make progress is to normalize things more. ppl don't know how to draw different facial features, hair textures, skin tones? start practicing. look at art from black artists who draw black ppl and study how that looks. examine ur own antiblackness. learn about colorism. study the racist history of depicting black ppl in art so u don't accidentally recreate that unconsciously. know what the antiblack stereotypes are. the show literally gave us both in 2x7, ppl can even just go study *that.* a lot of ppl don't even know that is there, as blatant as it is.
this is why I said thank u for asking this bcuz it's an important thing to talk about. white fandom (a mindset, not a skin color) will use stuff like this to perpetuate the idea that talking about race *does* cause harm. it doesn't. it never will. it's the only way to make any progress. centering the feelings of an artist who doesn't want to bother drawing louis bcuz drawing black ppl is too hard / anxiety inducing is just straight up racism. idk specifically who this artist is or anything but this is stuff u see and then u stop supporting that artist. u don't coddle them about this either. it's a stupid, harmful thing to say. find artists who don't make those excuses and who can handle having these conversations, support them instead.
ppl should also always be looking for black artists in this fandom to support in the first place. none of the popular artists here are black and that's done intentionally by the fandom. everyone should feel bad about that tbh.

family guy fandom from an alternate reality:
-main ships are peter/quagmire and peter/joe. huge ship wars over them in 2015. nowadays though the fandom is more progressive and cool and a lot of people ship peter/quagmire/joe or peter/lois/quagmire or peter/lois/joe/bonnie or even peter/lois/joe/bonnie/quagmire.
-these are all shorted to p+l+j+b+q or whatever. or just like pljbq. lots of jokes about fandom newbies not understanding all the ship abbreviations.
-cleveland is the token straight friend or is forgotten entirely from the fandom.
-genuine discourse defending brian x stewie.
-people calling the actual liberal takes in the show "so progressive and subversive"
-surprisingly there is a relatively large amount of ship art of lisa simpson x meg that everyone claims to ship so hard but then you go on ao3 and there are like. 3 fics.
-(your own attempt to write one never gets posted)
-(this is not me saying i would ship them or anything, but i feel like i'm also just making a whole analogy of the fandom experience with this)
-heavy celebration of that bart simpson x chris fan comic where they're adults in couple's counseling (with bobby hill as their therapist). so much so that there is an entire smaller fandom for this crossover au of the simpsons/family guy and sometimes other shows are included like king of the hill or american dad or even bob's burgers (who's usually featured as a cameo or smth in fics, like if the characters stop in a restaurant and it's bob's restaurant). it's called "simpsons guy" or "simpsons guy of the hill" OR "simpsons guy of the hill's burgers"
-or SGOtHB
-blogs dedicated to pointing out the animation errors
-quagmire x reader fanfics being popular, but there is so much discourse around whether it's right or if a lot of stuff is in-character with quagmire or if it's even ethical to like quagmire at a character at all
-meg and chris are a lot closer and nicer to each other in fanfics and fan art. more supportive to each other against their abusive parents.
-like three genuine fanfics and one piece of fan art depicting the evil monkey as chris' real emotional father.
-several fanfics written in a star wars au (both genuine and in the same universe as the show's star wars parody)
-lots of ironic fan art about brian being a stoner
-more serious aspects that are usually played for gags in the show are treated so so so seriously. like how meg is treated and her depression. or like how joe probably has trauma (and so does his son).
-people saying that they would want peter and lois as their parents. then people pointing out why that would be bad and a then a lot of discourse happens.
-joe cop discourse
-discourse on the morality of shipping brian with humans
-popular tag on ao3 that says "Brian Griffin Only Dates Dogs" or "Universe Altercation: Brain Griffin Only Dates Dogs" or "Dog!Jillian"
-sub part of the fandom dedicated to celebrating mayor west (and a surprising amount of love for the ship of him and his wife)
-drawing the characters in different outfits. (i personally want to see meg in a yellow sunflower dress and peter in an 80s disco man outfit)
-SO MUCH fan art of peter x the chicken but it's not as popular now as it used to be.
-and in 2012, more of whatever else this is:

Ramblings stemming from frustration with this fandom sometimes. ( Naruto. )
I know Naruto fandom has always been a tad toxic ever since it started becoming popular and such, but something about these newer fans who are so comfortable with d3ath threats, body shaming, sa threats, and d0xxing other people for the sake of a character. Fandom discourse is truly never that serious and the fact that they’ve become so obsessed with “ratioing” or “owning” other people that they’re willing to say absolutely vile things all for what… some likes? Validation from other gross people?
And then for these people to still say they’re the “good part of the fandom” or “the sane part”. It’s almost narcissistic for lack of a better word at the moment. ( not diagnosing anyone or speaking as if I’m some sort of mental health expert. Just can’t think of another word right now because of the headache this phenomenon is causing me as it is becoming much too common. )
They have this obsession with demonizing “the other side.” To the point of making false claims, which is insane. Or maybe they actually believe them? I can’t tell. They just spread whatever makes them feel good about what they like and don’t care about the source.
This is mainly a lame annoyed rant about the Hinata fanbase which have become somehow even worse within the past few days with their weird obsession with trying to get the Boruto artist (I think he works for sp? Unsure as he says most of his art is fanart but he made a like two or three official pieces that were on the official boruto/naruto page.) fired and sending him death threats for I guess just not drawing Hinata as much as they want? Like to the point where they were literally saying she was being “oppressed and bullied” by this artists. It was insane to see in person because you really would like to believe people WOULDNT compare a character not being drawn in a way they approve of to the oppression the people of Palestine are facing but hey, I suppose it’s a competition now to see how much of a bad person you can be for the sake of a character.
Also I know this is not just an issue in the hinata fandom, although the recent need to fetishize how “Asian Hinata is compared to that white girl sakura.” Is irking me a lot more than what other fandoms have done as of recent that I’m aware of. The Sakus seem to be their usual level of delusion and crappy attitude. Which is easy to ignore for me.
Does it sound like I’m making stuff up at this point? Because as I’m writing this I’m seeing just how insane this really is. This *shouldn’t* be real. This *shouldn’t* be things people say without shame. And yet, people just throw their morals for… what, internet points? The self validation that they defended to their favorite character? Who knows.
You might not even read this, I wouldn’t blame you lol. Just me being annoyed with how comfortable people within the naruto fandom have become so comfortable with being bad people.
My only real question is have you noticed an increase of toxicity within the fandom? Do you think this behavior has gotten worse with the ending of Naruto and beginning of Boruto?
I kinda get what you mean. I remember even before the manga ended there was apparently aggressive fights between Narusaku/Naruhina shippers, like the body shaming towards the other ship's girl and so on. And SS also were aggressive. But nowadays it indeed seems worse. I'm not sure if it's because we have new big platforms? Twitter and Tiktok I mean, both have really cancerous fandom spaces.
SS/NH harass official staff all the time, as well as other parts of the fandom. And then they act like victims because some people think Sakura and Hinata are shitty characters lol. Meanwhile they treat real people like shit. I think it might be because everyone makes fun of their ships/girls all the time, because it's so easy, so they become even crazier in trying to compensate, they try to harass the staff for more content for their ship, to get back at the people who say their ships suck. Also because so many popular content creators keep making content on Naruto and Sasuke being gay and Sakura/Hinata being their beards it's also humiliating to them.
Of course, they also need to fight which girl is the best girl. Which girl is less of a single mother for example. XD
"Or maybe they actually believe them?" Considering how many SS have convinced themselves that some moments that happened between Naruto and Sasuke actually happened between Sasuke and Sakura, I can believe them being that delusional.
"Does it sound like I’m making stuff up at this point?" No because I have witnessed it myself, plenty Sakura and Hinata stans on twitter have that toxic "bad bitch" attitude that they think makes them queens or whatever, they harass people and are extremely aggressive and think female character doing the bare minimun = queen behaviour. It comes off as very childish and narcissistic. No wonder Sakura and Hinata as characters appeal to them.

4) Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?
hsfjdlshfks I generally don't go looking for new ideas, they just break into my house and start squatting there lol. Aside from the spontaneously generated ones, I actually take a lot of inspiration from other fans! Blorbo discussions especially tend to spark interesting thoughts that lead to headcanons and stories. Sometimes fanart (all kinds) causes me to go down a different thought path than before - like, I recently saw some truly banger torisai art that changed the planned ending of a WIP lol. It's never direct inspiration though, like I genuinely wouldn't bother making something that already exists unless I thought I could bring something radically different to the table. I'm making the stuff that I wish existed but doesn't!
20) Have you noticed any patterns in your fics? Words/expressions that appear a lot, themes, common settings, etc?
Lol. Yeah all my romantic stuff is sweet and cozy and heartfelt because I'm cheesy and love that stuff. Even my most deranged lemons are super affectionate <3 I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader to call me out on other patterns lol.
27) What is your most and least favorite part of writing?
The best parts are the initial concept & brainstorming, plus writing blorbo dialogue. I'm sure it's extremely obvious that I love writing Akechi dialogue in particular – the less hinged, the better!
Worst part is the post-posting creative slump, where I've gone through all the effort of creation & posting and then there's no feedback and it just feels bad. Hate having to wait out stupid human feelings to get back to creating. It doesn't always happen (I was actually really pleasantly surprised by the reception of the toilet blog lol) but it's just a real bummer when it does!
29) What’s your revision or editing process like?
Not too intensive for me since I kinda edit as I go along. Before I get started writing, I always go over the last part (sometimes all of it), to get back in my groove, and I'll tweak it if it needs it. Once I'm done writing, if I have a beta I'll send it over, and either way I'll wait a few days before giving a final read-through and posting. Naturally a few months later I'll be reading the fic on AO3 and find typos or grammatically weird sentences, but that shit happens to professional authors too so whatever lol. Update it and carry on...
40) If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?
All fanart is definitely welcome lol, but generally the romantic fics are nearer and dearer to my heart so shippy drawings inspired by my fics would have a same-type-attack-bonus on my heart!
74) You’ve posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you’d written it?
The CSS/HTML probably lmfaoooo.
Otherwise, probably the pairing if it's one of my captained ships, and the way I write my dialogue and don't spend any time describing shit like settings or clothing lmao.
Thanks for the ask @hillbilly---man!! 💜💜💜
[Context] <- still open for these!

can I say something controversial after we just got done celebrating miles and Alex reuniting?
I think Milex is a cute ship, it is, they are an adorable pair. their chemistry is very sweet and they are like soulmates you can tell, be that platonic or not in y'alls opinions. I personally don't ship it (always been a mattlex girly myself, platonically talking). I do feel at times y'all do focus on the wrong thing with Miles and Alex. some of you lot love defending Miles and how he doesn't deserve to just be associated with Alex but please and I beg you, tell me truthfully you know Miles from his solo work and not from TLSP. there's few of us, I think Miles is great and his music is good, I saw him before AM live FFS but no I wouldn't know Miles without Alex. It's just a thing that will always exist and it's unfortunate I know but it's true. I also think documenting and cherry picking at specific moments that have literally no correlation at all to milex romantic moments and making them oddly sexual is fucking odd. like I'll give you the d, I wish you would: that's an innuendo, that's funny and you can make that sexual cuz they did. they act like an old married couple at times. the lentils joke about their bad habits for example, it's cute and domestic. it's fic material. I understand that, trust me but like sometimes they are just on coke and giggling like little boys over like bringing bread and crumpets to the studio and that's not an allegory for fucking each other (an actual real post someone made). please it's odd and fetishism of two men who are straight. I understand that being gay is still a taboo subject for some people from more oppressive countries and maybe at 14 when you found AM, milex was your first introduction to shipping culture and men being shipped together, that would be exciting to you. However the nuances of that is that it can cross a line to a degree where you aren't respecting the two real people. I was in the Dan and Phil fandom before they came out and we had an era called 2012 where Dan especially was on the defense constantly to a point where it was a taboo to us to talk about but through time, that defense became more empathetic with them coming out. we all grew up and that behaviour from when we were kids was not ok anymore and that frustration was valid. I have many straight friends who have felt that pressure to be part of the LGBT community in order to not be shamed and on the flip side, I don't even need to tell you how hard it is still for lgbtqia people to want to hide in the closet with all the problems we still as a society have to face.
what I'm trying to say is, these are straight men and it's ok for straight men to be affectionate with their friends, I know it may still be frowned upon in some cultures but we wouldn't have am without a close bond between the lads. we wouldn't have TLSP without miles and Alex being best friends. i don't think milex is wrong, plz do what you want, draw your porn art if you want, write fics upon fics but plz just think about why this makes you so happy and understand the true consequences on what you say because you could be upsetting the gay community around you by being elated that miles can kiss his friend on the cheek. let boys love each other platonically or not, it doesn't matter. If Alex or Miles came out tomorrow, I'd support them, it's just something to think about.
Plus it's ok for teenagers and younger people to see what the boys do and want that, that's valid and I hope you have fun. There's a point where you may realise that something you said was a kid that you don't agree with and that's part of growing up, I know (hence the dnp rant). I see this now as an adult and think of that as crossing a line by prying at someone's sexuality cuz that's not mine to know and I don't know that person in real life. However if you are like a long time monkeys fan in your late 20s, early 30s, please consider what you're doing and re-evaluate what this means to you because maybe it's not just Alex and Miles that make you feel this way and that's not healthy: that's a parasocial relationship you've held for so long you don't know any different.

Intro?
You can call me Waivy since I make it my nickname here. Nice to meet ya.
Artist and otaku by life, 3D-printer by specialty
Fandoms: Know a lot, not much catches.
The most basic is my OC'es(#Dokuro family). The rest depends of my involvement.
Active fandoms: MILGRAM, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail
Unactive fandoms: Im - Great priest Imhotep, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, One Piece, My Hero Akademia, Akudama Drive... e.t.c (and I always read something new)
Hobbies:
I draw, draw a lot. Especially OC'es. But now I also drew fan-art.
Sometimes write something. (but it's rare)
3D modeling and printing. (Not yet custom, but planned, maybe later I will write about it more)
My other media:
Telegram channel (all rus language, and a bit more specific art than here)
Side-blog(talks, shitpost, rb, real world and other things I don’t want to clog art blog): @waivyjellyfish-side
and
Open the ask and reqests for a while(about fandoms or my OC'es):
Firstly I warn you, I’m not sure that I can answer quickly, so you can wait for a long time before you receive an answer or reqest. (So just don’t expect instant answers.)
Don't be mean. I don't want to read mean things about anyone. Whether it’s a person or just pixels.
About shipping. I prefer to draw platonik. I'm actually okay with a lot of things, and I have ships too.(I think people free to have fun about anything they like. Not if it affects real people) But I don't want to draw things that I feel uncomfortable or just don't like, (I don’t mind listening but not drawing) so if you ask something about pairings it better to be platonic.
I’m not going to draw things with ratings here. (I actually can draw it and I draw but don't want to post it here 'cause I don’t want to piss off tumblr, I'll post it on my tg.channel, and maybe later I’ll start a page on poipiku or other similar site)

Ooh, are we sharing TMNT OCs? Mine is a fluffy Ragamuffin cat mutant with white fur, pink curly hair and blue eyes. She's a bit tall, plus-sized and is an anxious cinnamon roll. At her best she's a lot like Pinkie Pie from MLP: Friendship is magic, but she also deals a lot with anxiety, depression and some PTSD..
She eventually acquires a mystic item called The Heart of Healing, which heals wounds, cures poison and illnesses, and places a force field around a wounded comrade to protect them while healing in combat.
Over time she learns basic self-defense and takes fencing lessons from Senior Hueso. She has a long way to go as far as being allowed to be in combat, but she's getting at least to the point where the boys and April aren't quite as worried.
She loves drawing, singing, writing, dancing in the kitchen, swimming, watching nature documentaries, reading, cosplay, collecting stuffed animals and anime figurines, taking "cat-naps", video games and cuddling.
She's very physically affectionate and comforting, and loves giving and receiving physical touch and words of affirmation. She gets incredibly flustered when people flirt with her, but she loves exchanging cheesy puns and dad jokes. She sometimes makes art for her friends and likes to cook simple meals for them.
She's much smarter and better educated than she lets on, and will info-dump about her passions if she's not careful. She also really enjoys it when people get excited to talk about projects with her!
She was human before, but engages in some feline behaviors (rubbing her cheeks unintentionally on someone or something to "mark" them, purring, tacking carpet pieces to her wall for her to scratch, being chased by dogs/Gus the demon dog, curling up for naps almost anywhere, and needing to obsessively be clean/brushed/smelling nice).
She does not have a raspy tongue, thank goodness, and she blunts her claws to keep from accidentally hurting herself or others. Otherwise most of her body looks surprisingly human.
She has a younger sister (based on my own sister!) who was mutated into a mystic spider girl and temporarily taken under Big Mama's wing, until a team effort convinced her to leave and find her own place in the city. I ship said spider sis with Cassandra "Casey" Jones.
I'm kind of struggling on who I want to ship her with out of the boys. I'm actually writing a fan fiction with her and to be honest, I love all the boys so much. ❤💙💜💛 Any suggestions would be so appreciated!
I have a strong feeling she and Mikey would at least be besties for resties.
Sorry if this is a lot! I have a bit of art for her too.
Tumblr media
Michan, the Ragamuffin cat girl mutant, is the one with the pink hair and blue dress on the right. Her friend Rumiko is the fox girl on the left.
as an older sister the urge to add your siblings into the mix is so real i always add mine in somehow lol
ok i know you said she keeps her claws dulled but, for your consideration
Tumblr media
boom. claw caps.
anyways
does she do that thing where cats go up to someone to help them stretch and they raise their arms up in the air? i feel like raph would really get a kick out of that
she sounds like such a cutie, and i love that she’s a healer which is a totally underrated role for characters to play imo

Hey! I read your post about Lawmane and why it's a more valid ship than people give it credit for, specifically when it comes to L's behaviors. It's this post in case you've forgotten, since it's been a while. In my opinion, there's a big difference between the author's intent and the feeling that actually gets conveyed. The authors intended for L to be asexual, immune to both Light and Misa. However, the fans sense sexual tension between both pairs. L to me reads as someone who doesn't understand love/lust, but is capable of it. You can argue that L is simply acting, but there are a lot of sexualized scenes between him and Misa, even when he has no reason to do so. This I put down to the authors. The authors wanted L to be asexual, but they are very clearly not asexual themselves. They draw/portray Misa in a sexualized way, often using other characters to convey this since Light is not attracted to her. The thing that makes me confused is that L often acts this way even when there is nothing he can gain from it. You'd expect that an act would have no purpose if no one is around to see it, but there he is. Overall, L is a very confusing character to try and understand. I feel like there is often some dissonance between how the authors viewed him, and what actually got put onto the manga/anime. Does that make sense? I mean this in regards to several aspects of L's character, not just shipping.
I found this ask really interesting! Here's a link to the post for those who might know what we're talking about.
I think one reason L is a confusing character to understand, and this applies to a lot of fictional characters, is that the authors have other motivations than making him an internally consistent portrayal of a specific person. The way L is portrayed makes a lot more sense if you stop thinking of him as a real person and start thinking of him as a tool the authors use to achieve whatever goals they have in telling their story.
You'd expect that an act would have no purpose if no one is around to see it, but there he is.
This gets to the heart of it. Showing L expressing some sort of sexuality that goes against his intended character when he's alone does have a purpose, because someone is around to see it: the audience. The purpose of most art is less to portray something documentary-style and more so to entertain, and sometimes authors decide that making someone act out of character is more entertaining. I've noticed this a lot in anime (like in non-canonical themed episodes) but it happens in other art as well.
For instance, if the authors think of him as uninterested in sex, why would they portray him showing sexual interest in Misa? To sexualize Misa, and also, possibly, because they think it's funny. To them, I think, L is meant to be this absurd, cerebral, awkward person, so they find inherent comic relief in putting him in sexualized situations. The audience is meant to laugh at his lack of social skills, especially when contrasted with someone like Misa, who is portrayed as being out of his league looks-wise.
Of course, I'm not saying that no one should try to put together a coherent picture of L as a character. That's basically what I was doing in the post you're talking about. Honestly, I think it's more fun this way, to take the random things the authors threw in because they thought it was funny or because they forgot what they'd previously said about a character, and to take it seriously and go, "If this were a real person, how would these contradictory traits come together to form a coherent whole?" As you said, we look at what the authors convey regardless of what they intended.
But you just have to remember that that image of L as a whole, coherent person is something that we create as an audience. L is not some fixed, real entity that is fully known by the DN authors and revealed to us as a fact. There is no one true L that can be uncovered by studying the text and the author's comments in excruciating detail.
L (or any fictional character) is a basic idea that we've taken from a piece of media and added to and transformed in our collective consciousness, and neither L (the one the authors intended or the one (more accurately, thousands of different ones) that we as the audience create) is any more real than the other.

Hi BMT! I'm a taekooker. I know it sounds like it's going to be bad, but hear me out.
I started supporting taekook because I couldn't choose a bias in bts. So it was taekook. And then I discovered the actual taekook Fandom and I just? Wow? And like I understand. I get the fantasy where you don't want your idol to end up with a female that's not you. So you ship them together. And I'm a taekooker. But taekookers really have gone too far.
Recently I've been seeing these edits on YouTube. Overanalysing JK's playlist (something about him listening to this gay artist? Means he's gay?) And then the thing with Tae's twitter post just.
So get this, they say that this is definitely proof. Like them supporting the LGBTQ community means they're gay and in love. And I just. I guess I wanted to out it out there? Somehow? The fact that just because they support LGBTQ doesn't mean they're gay.
And at one point, I thought taekook was real cause of all the overanalysing (that was a real low point). But now I just think we're all delusional. Mostly the taekookers.
I mean, what if they're all just normal bros who maybe flirt sometimes. I know, I know. Highly unlikely. BUT maybe. What if. You know? What if we're just seeing things that aren't there?
ALSO ALSO on another note. Yoongi in the recent Run BTS dance video just. Pure freaking art.
Hi there!
It's funny, I know someone who had a similar dilemma when she first discovered BTS. She liked both Tae and Jungkook, but she couldn't pick one and I told her there's no need to choose 😄 No one imposes a limit. But her direction into the fandom was different cause she liked them separately and at some point, the Wooga squad became more interesting. And then she left kpop and moved on to greener pastures. Would I call her a taekooker because those two were her biases? Yes and no. I do think that an affiliation to a ship can be used when someone likes the ship, be it in a friendship/dynamic sense or romantic.
I appreciate you sending me this ask. It was interesting to read about your journey and how you see your two biases. Despite the problematic things taekookers do (including today with the tagging of nsfw art to friends of Tae), they also do engage in the same practices as any other shippers, from the youtube analysis, to the playlist analysis from which they draw conclusions towards the guys' sexual orientation. The methods are all the same, the story and content is different. I see this happening everywhere. I personally like JM and JK, but you can imagine how I rolled my eyes when I saw jikookers saying Jungkook's music must be related to missing Jimin because he was away or in the hospital. It's a reach, specifically when the arguments are based on such little "evidence" that is mostly based on speculation.
The thing that separates shippers are the big narratives they construct, while at the same time they have similarities due to the methods I mentioned above.
Not everything is an evidence for something else, not everything is a sign, not every time they hang out together must be a date, etc., especially when it's not used contextually. I think that's the main problem I see, which you pointed out as well.
Of course the possibility of just seeing things that are not there is quite high, simply because, as fans, we don't have access to their entire life. We only know what they allow us access to know. So, that should be kept in mind.
And on a last note, I think Yoongi biased wrecked everyone this year. I love his glow-up. Not that Yoongi didn't always make victims wanting to either marry him or sue him, but there's something else here. I can't pin point it, but I love it. He's feeling himself, more carefree, more in tune with his fashion style. And that hair 🥵

Hey, so, uhm, I did a thing. I'd really like to share it, although I'm very insecure about it. But yeah, here we go.
1 like and I'll continue :D
"A man once had a friend. A friend that could travel the worlds through dreams. And this man was very envious of his friend and yet he fell in love with him.
The friend was an artist. He wasn't really famous but had a small audience. He barely managed to sustain himself with his paintings but refused to switch career paths, as he couldn't bear to do anything else except art. It was what made his life meaningful. The other thing that made his existence bearable was dream walking. The moment he falls asleep he finds himself in a wonderful place. It could be any place, actually. For example, once he had "landed" in a gorgeous castle and spent the entire night strolling in a garden with a beautiful maid, talking about flowers. The other night he appeared on a futuristic space ship and explored an unknown sector of galaxy with a crew. Once he also went to a magic academy and studied secrets of nature alongside geniuses. Sometimes he managed to go to the worlds he already visited, and it appeared that anyone living there still remembered him. The life in the Dreams was always full of joy, without any real inconvenience, pain or suffering. The only reason not to abandon the awakened world and get lost in the dream realm, was the fact that it's impossible for him to create art while dream-walking. So even though the live in the Dreams was much better, he couldn't bring himself to stay there forever without his passion.
The man, on the other side, was a scientist. He was a person with a will to understand the world and its magic. He had a decent job, a nice and cozy apartment, and some other friends, but also that sucking feeling of something lacking.
He only understood what was it, that feeling, the day he met this friend. He lacked the ability to dream and create. He could only think, connect the dots, and copy what he sees, but never had he ever managed to come up with something new. It never really bothered him, until he saw his friend drawing. That moment it hit him. How desperate he was, to be able to create.
It all began with envy. He saw his friend creating and lost his sleep for days. The moment the brush touched the canvas felt like someone stabbed the man. His heart skipped a beat just to find a new rhythm. It went faster and faster as if there was no limit to its speed. The scientist felt that he couldn't breathe properly. Everything suddenly became so vivid and bright that it almost caused pain. On that invisible razor blade of an edge between suffering and euphoria the new chapter began.
The man started to meet the artist regularly. He watched him draw, never commenting on the process nor engaging in a discussion. He listened to the creator silently. Any other sane person, if witnessed them, would say that the scientist was obsessed with the art and the artist. He rarely blinked when looked, his breath was light and irregular, and he sat? still as if he was a statue.
The artist never noticed anything weird about his friend's behavior. Actually, it flattered him, to have such an engaged fan. It was a highly pleasing feeling to have someone who'd listen to everything he says, someone who'd be stunned by his genius so much he would freeze. He loved attention, especially from skeptical people, such as his friend, the scientist. After all, he was a bit egocentric like any other creative person.
This wicked relationship did not go unnoticed, though. Every single of their mutual friends had an opinion on what was happening between the two. Those who were more prosaic claimed that there is no friendship only mutual unhealthy obsession and that it should not continue. On the other hand, those who were less realistic and much more naive found the relationship quite adorable and bookishly romantic. Some of them even actively encouraged it.
But the artist and the scientist never listened to any of the sides, preferring to ignore them.
But unfortunately, nothing lasts forever in this world and thus the feelings had to change... "
