💡𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝗜: 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗛𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 AI adoption is outpacing governance, and employees are quietly reshaping workflows with unsanctioned tools—“Shadow AI.” This is a loud knock on the door—a signal that official systems aren’t meeting employee needs—as well as a compliance and security risk. Organizations ignoring this phenomenon risk falling behind, while those answering the knock can turn these hidden innovations into competitive advantage. 💡 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 Shadow AI sends a clear signal: “Our needs aren’t being met.” Organizations that listen can turn these signals into actionable roadmaps for innovation. • Unmet Needs: AI for personalized outreach highlights gaps in existing systems. • Change Agents: Grassroots innovators often outpace top-down initiatives. • Testing Ground: Shadow AI provides a space for experimentation and scalable wins. 💡 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 Unlike previous Shadow IT trends (ie. personal devices on company networks), AI reshapes workflows, enhances productivity, and transforms decision-making. • The Risks: Compliance and data security are major challenges. • The Rewards: Strategic use unlocks efficiency and enterprise innovation. 💡 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝗜 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 To harness Shadow AI’s potential, organizations can: 1️⃣ Listen for Signals: Identify gaps employees are addressing with unsanctioned tools. 2️⃣ Sanction Smart Solutions: Replace risky tools with secure, enterprise-grade options. 3️⃣Enable Safe Experimentation: Create environments for testing and iteration. 4️⃣ Empower Employees: Provide training for responsible AI use. 💡 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Shadow AI already exists in your organization. I am loudly pushing the batdad agenda i am loudly pushing the— DPxDC Prompt
“Woah. You look like shit."
Granted, that’s probably not the first thing Danny should be saying to the guy that just bit the curb, but in his defense; he’s not running on 100% right now either.
The man -- tall, towering, and broader than Danny is tall -- whips around on his heel, black frayed cape flaring out impressively. Danny would've whistled in appreciation, but he takes the time instead to wipe the back of his hand across his mouth, smearing the blood running from his nose across his cheek.
"Sorry." He blinks widely, not even flinching as the man with the horns zeroes in on him. "That was rude of me. I have a really bad brain-to-mouth filter; Sam says its what always gets me into trouble."
And she's not wrong either, per say. His smart mouth is what landed him in this situation -- with blood blossom extract running through his veins and cannibalizing the ectoplasm in his bloodstream. Thanks Vlad.
The man grunts at him; a short, curt "hm" that shouldn't make Danny smile, but he does because he's somewhat delirious and probably concussed. The man keeps some kind of distance, sinking towards the shadows of Gotham's alleyway like he dares to melt right into it.
If it's supposed to scare Danny, it doesn't work. Danny's never been afraid of the dark; he's always been able to hide himself in it. He blinks slowly at the mass of shadows.
"You look hurt." The shadows says, blurring together around the edges. Danny squints, and licks his lips to get the blood dripping down his chin off. Ugh, he hates the taste of blood.
"I am." He says, "My godfather poisoned me. M'dying." The agony of the blood blossom eating him from the inside out looped back around to numbing a while ago, so all he feels is half-awake and dazed.
"Hey," Danny stumbles forward towards the man, a bloodied hand reaching out to him. "You-- you're a hero, right? You're not attacking me; which is more than I can say for most costumed people I've met." Maybe it's a poor bar to judge someone at, but he's already established that Danny's not in his right mind.
The man makes no change in expression, but Danny realizes blearily that it's hard to tell with the shadows on his face. He stays still long enough for Danny to latch onto the cape -- stretchy, but almost soft under his fingers.
He looks up blearily into the whites of the man's eyes. "Can you help me? I don't-- I don't wanna die." Again. He doesn't wanna die again. He blinks slow and lizard-like. "I mean- I'll probably get to see mom and dad again, but I told them I'd at least try and make it to adulthood."
There's a clatter down the street, and Danny's ghost sense chills up his spine and leaves a bitter, ashy taste in his mouth. He immediately knows who it belongs to even before the deceptively gentle; "Daniel?" echoes down the way.
"Daniel? Quit your games, badger, Gotham is dangerous for children."
Danny's mouth pulls back, and blood spills against his tongue. "Please." He rasps, and grabs onto the shadow's cape with both hands. "Please. He's going to kill me. Please--"
"Daniel? Is that you?"
His lips part, dragging in air to plead with the darkness again. He doesn't need to, the whites of his eyes narrow, and the cape whirls around him before Danny can blink. Soon swaddled in shadows, the Night lifts him up, and steals him away.

edit (10/23/2024) now that the poll is over: Original version, with 10 questions, from April 2023 here
And, given that the original is from April 2023, that means I can very easily say:
No, this was not an ISAT reference!
Just because I use parentheses and 2nd person pov and love the same concepts of what a time loop can do to a person doesn't mean it's ISAT
(Yes, I like ISAT, the original poll is why I was recommended the game! But if you look at the original, you can see all the origins of the options to choose from, including what spurred me on with the moss option from the replies)
If I were going to make something for ISAT, I would never be so vague, you can simply look at my ao3 for proof of that

Every time I see news of crowds agitating against Israel outside a synagogue, or museum, or Jewish day school full of children, or restaurant, or educational event, and so on in the US, every time my thought is why the fuck aren't you holding this 'protest' at city hall? Or your state legislature? Or your federal reps' offices?
A random Jewish institution in the United States has absolutely zero power to affect the decisions made by Israel's parliament or military. You're not "raising awareness" or "drawing attention to the issue" because the general public of the US is already at least somewhat aware thanks to the news, and Jewish people are in fact one of the groups in the US to be the most fucking aware of what's going on.
If you are upset by US military aid going to Israel, you need to convince your federal representatives to change that. Those reps do not base US military foreign aid policy on random US citizens harassing other US citizens.
If you want the US to provide more civilian relief in the form of food, medicine, or helping refugees come here, you need to convince reps at every level. Can your city partner with a refugee organization to arrange housing? Can your governor arrange scholarships or exchange programs to state universities? Can the feds channel more funds to Doctors Without Borders?
Do a write and call-in campaign. Hold your protest at legislatures. File a petition. Do something to directly express your desires to the elected officials who have a direct say in policy.
We've held protests at city halls and state legislatures and federal buildings for centuries. Why aren't you doing so for this issue?
Why are you macing people attending synagogue? They have no more power over elected officials' choices than you do.
Why are you screaming at schoolchildren? They have less power over elected officials' choices than you do.
Why are you blocking entrance to a museum? Hold a fundraiser to build your own, if you want to educate people so badly!
I know the antisemites don't actually care about US military & foreign aid policy. I know the racists are simply reveling in an excuse to whip up a mob to attack Jews. It's obvious.
But if you really, truly want to help the people of Gaza, you need to stop being part of that hateful mob, and organize your own, real political actions that directly engages with your elected representatives.

finally at that age where i'm thinking i should get a tattoo. not bc i feel strongly about it, just seems like a waste not to. i've got so much skin i'm not using
#feels so selfish like. all this skin what am i saving it for?#open to design suggestions! (please make me regret this offer)#maybe some deep sea horrors. a pretty watercolor of a gulper eel#once saw a person on the subway with various Skeleton Tattoos on all their limbs#i respected their commitment to the theme#but more than that i respected how all the skeletons were engaged in Activities#dancing in a ballgown. juggling its own (and two other???) skulls. swordfighting. being a mermaid skeleton#ANYWAY. the only reason i haven't already gotten tattoos is i just couldn't be bothered#i'm old enough to know i don't have any strong-but-potentially-temporary feelings driving me towards it#aesthetically i prefer decorated to non-decorated surfaces. but i'm not artistic or thrilled with commitment#honestly it feels like sheer laziness. indecisiveness--nay. immaturity!--that i HAVEN'T gotten a tattoo yet#letting all this blank canvas go to waste. tut tut i need to grow up and be an adult and get a tattoo sleeve already.#really i've put off my responsibilities long enough#(in fairness i DID at one time have 18 different piercings)#(but i took most of them out bc they interfere with wearing headphones and/or shoving my face in my pillow during Sleep Time)#(i only kept the nape piercing bc oddly enough it ended up being the most convenient. and the least painful to get now i think about it.)#(neck piercing? no problem. normal pair of earrings? Every Seller, Every Interaction, Every Deal
As we accelerate into 2025, AI solutions are everywhere, each looking to revolutionize {fill in the blank}. What truly matters for you and your team?
Today’s sales leaders face two critical challenges:
Scarce At-Bats: Every qualified opportunity is high-stakes, and there’s no room for error. Sellers need a dedicated space to refine their skills before stepping into these moments.
Individual Variability: Every seller has unique strengths, weaknesses, and blind spots. Broad-stroke solutions don’t address the specific areas where each seller needs refinement.
Yet many sales leaders still rely on outdated methods that fail to optimize. 1:1s offer broad guidance but often lack situational depth. Tools that record interactions seldom deliver actionable insights aligned with buyer needs. Role-plays with and without extended audiences are limited by time, uneven feedback, and fear of failure and humiliation. Generic training programs miss the mark on addressing individual learning styles, leaving growth potential untapped, and numbers missed.
Sellers need environments that go beyond observation and passive learning—spaces where they can actively refine, experiment, and master their craft. These systems must offer practical, actionable experiences tailored to the realities of high-stakes selling.
Addressing these challenges requires a two-pronged approach: creating an environment for sellers to master their skills and ensuring alignment with buyer needs in every interaction. Two essential shifts are required to address these challenges:
1. Building Mastery Through Practice 💡
The Problem: Sellers lack a dedicated "flywheel" space to consistently refine their approach and take ownership of their own growth. High-stakes at-bats are too rare and valuable to serve as practice sessions. Fear of failure often stifles experimentation, leaving significant growth potential untapped.
Required: Tools that foster a continuous learning environment, enabling sellers to:
Practice real-world scenarios tailored to their unique challenges.
Experiment with messaging and strategies in a safe, structured space.
Receive targeted, actionable feedback that drives rapid improvement.
The Results:
Faster onboarding and accelerated skill development.
Enhanced seller confidence in high-pressure situations.
Measurable increases in win rates through sharper execution.
2. Driving Precision with Buyer Feedback💡
The Problem: Messaging misaligned with buyer priorities can quietly derail deals, leading to stagnation and often worse. Sellers often misunderstand why deals are lost, attributing failures to external factors rather than addressing actionable gaps.
Required: Systems that collect and analyze buyer feedback, delivering insights that enable sellers to:
Identify what resonates—and what doesn’t—during engagements.
Refine messaging dynamically to align with buyer priorities.
Detect churn risks and upsell opportunities to maximize account potential.
The Results:
Improved win rates by eliminating messaging missteps.
Accelerated deal velocity through buyer-informed strategies.
Stronger alignment across sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
Beyond Tools: The Cultural Imperative💡
Building a thriving sales culture requires intentionality—a commitment to systems and practices that empower sellers to perform at their best. The strategies outlined above are not just incremental improvements; they are the catalysts for this cultural shift:
Mastery Through Practice provides sellers with the confidence and skills to tackle high-stakes situations with precision.
Precision with Buyer Feedback ensures sellers adapt dynamically, aligning their approach with what truly matters to buyers.
These aren’t just tools—they’re enablers of a culture where sellers:
Experiment freely without fear of failure.
Leverage feedback seamlessly to refine their approach.
Consistently align their behaviors with buyer needs to drive results.
The path to a thriving sales culture starts here—with systems that equip sellers to execute at their best and deliver results on every interaction.
And...
The question is not whether your team has potential—it’s whether you’re creating the conditions for them to realize it.
💡What will you do differently to ensure every seller, every interaction, and every deal delivers 'more' in 2025?💡

need you all to bear with me for five minutes but please god, please imagine, that you are clark kent. maybe you have a little bit of a crush on your Good Ol' Pal Batman. you haven't tried to look into his identity, that's just rude!
but.
but say clark has to go undercover for various reasons (shipment of kryptonite?). and some gotham goons come in, and they're loud, and one's got this fuck off oily hair and a horrendous clashing colours suit and a thick jersey accent and a matchstick hanging from his mouth, and also a HEARTBEAT THAT YOU RECOGNISE.
imagine having a huge crush on batman and he, like, turns out to be MATCHES MALONE, local grimy goon. how do you even recover from that. imagine the next jl meeting

How to make a call script to talk about a bill
Alright, so if you're here you've probably seen those posts about "call your senator/rep/whomever about xyz" but then don't include a script. Here's a formula to making your own. Remember that you will likely to be talking to an aide, not the person themself, so you'll be using third person (he/she) rather than second person (you/your). Once you fill in the script for yourself on whatever your issue is, pass that new script around. Calling your representatives is a numbers game, not a uniqueness game, and a completed script helps with accessibility.
If you want to do this but need help, especially if you're trying to call a politician who usually doesn't align with you, feel free to send me (op) an ask and I'll lend a hand. It's a good skill to have, but it's not always intuitive if you've never done it before!
Option 1: The Basic I've never had this version take more than a minute, and since the bulk of calls are boiled down to a yea/nay without much regard for content outside of that, it does it's job.
Hi. I'm calling today from [place your person represents] as a constituent of [name of your person]. I heard about [bill number], or the [name of bill], and was calling to express my [support/concern] for it, as it would seriously [benefit/harm][name of your person]'s constituents in my community. Because of this, I'm calling on [him/her] to vote [yes/no] when the bill comes to a floor vote. (They'll say that they'll pass it along) Thank you, I appreciate that. Have a good day. *hang up*
Option 2: The Deluxe This one takes a little more effort, but can help your call stand out a bit, which helps indicate that you actually do care. Before you call, look on their website to see if they've supported any initiatives similar to the one you're calling about (even if it's kinda tangential). This works because most people call to complain, so saying "you're doing a good job" is a nice change of pace. They're people too, even if they're detached.
Hi. I'm calling today from [place your person represents] as a constituent of [name of your person]. I heard about [bill number], or the [name of bill], and was calling to express my [support/concern] for it, as it would seriously [benefit/harm][name of your person]'s constituents in my community by [main selling point of your bill/reason to vote it down]. As someone who expects my [office of person]s to look out for the people of [place your person represents], I was pleased to see [name of person] vote [for/against] the [name of bill] bill, showing their commitment to [main selling point of example bill/reason to vote it down]. To continue this trend, I'm calling on [him/her] to vote [yes/no] when the [name of bill] comes to a floor vote. (They'll say that they'll pass it along) Thank you, I appreciate that. Have a good day. *hang up*

Exile cTommy drives me crazy bc his themes are so deeply about isolation and an abuse victim having to save themselves. Which, is really powerful. Especially for people who don’t have support networks, who can’t be rescued, seeing it’s possible to do it oneself.
But also. Because it’s so effective. Because it hurts so much. I WANT to save him. I’m begging for him to be rescued. For anyone at all to hear him scream. Tommy isn’t a damsel, he is capable of saving himself, but he shouldn’t have to. Those fics are a different sort of comfort to those hurting. That someone will care, that they’ll be rescued. That he deserves to be.
In some sense I’m certain the reverse would be true if canon and those types of fics were reversed. That is how fandom functions, teasing apart the whatifs.
Still I’m endlessly grateful that cTommy wasn’t rescued. Especially with the bedrock bro healing after. Tommy isn’t looking for help when he goes to Techno, he’s literally living under the floorboards. And even when he’s discovered Techno is so deeply not equipped to play therapist for a traumatized teen. He’s still bleeding, but it was him who pulled out the blade.
