Tomorrow - Saturday May 22 - we will be part of the first ONLINE Global AcroYoga Festival ever organized, transmitted via Zoom and IG Live.⁠ ⁠ Sam and Raquel will be teaching an IG Live class, Saturday at 3:30 PM EST (Puerto Rico). Come learn, review and practice the Fundamentals of Acrobatics and how to apply those principles to Slackro. ⁠ ⁠ This will be their first LIVE ONLINE class. Conheça Raquel Furquim, umas das professoras do AcroYoga Festival do Brasil. Raquel furquim é fisioterapeuta, massoterapeuta, acupunturista, empresária, professora, acrobata circense, performer, acroyogui. Ama o corpo humano e movimento em suas mais diversas expressões. Começou a dança aos 4 anos de idade e, junto com ela praticou natação, futebol, escalada, jiu-jitsu, ginástica natural, musculação, meia-maratona, pilates, squash. Teve longa experiência como professora de Pilates. Em 2002 iniciou a acrobacia aérea e há quase 3 anos pratica acroyoga, ginástica olímpica e parada de mãos. Em 2017 começou seus treinos com Rodrigo Salulima e o método Ido Portal na Pratique Movimento. Desde o início de 2015 treina acroyoga com Cesar Galvão e participou de diversos cursos dentro e fora do Brasil. Estiveram nos Estados Unidos para fazer a certificação e são os primeiros os primeiros professores do método AcroRevolution da América do Sul. Se apaixonou pelas artes de cura quando começou sua jornada com a massagem, em 1999. Hoje é professora formada por escolas internacionais da Tailândia e do Japão e ensina diversas técnicas de massagem no Brasil, entre elas a Thai Yoga Massagem, a Reflexologia Japonesa e a Massagem Ayurvédica. Raquel é uma eterna aprendiz e adora compartilhar o que sabe. Com paciência, segurança, diversão, trabalhando a confiança em si e no outro, suas aulas estimulam cada aluno a desenvolver o seu potencial. 4 times a week, that is what I strive for, although I would ❤️ to do it everyday (but my legs are striking the four o'clock mark in this photo, so 4 it is). I try to attend the two weekly D.C. Jams, teach once a week and train once a week--each bring something different to my acro practice. However these opportunities been feeling scarce recently. Between injury, travel an 8-5 job, lots o' community meetings, and commitments with friends and family who don't do acro (who are these people, amiright?), 4 times a week has been elusive. I don't know how people with kids do it! #acrolovebug challenge day 3: when do you #acrolove?
