Am I the only one who thinks a tiny Godot AU would be so much fun?
Just imagine, Miles and Phoenix are *peacefully* having a conversation when BAM, they hear a small noise coming from the kitchen, and no surprise, a small amount of coffee is missing.
I feel like Godot would be slick, but still show purposeful signs of his existence, for example, hiding some of Miles' stuff just to mess with him. Is this just me????

Herlock Sholmes - Great Detective of Foggy London Town:
you’ve just been sholmed
Production Destruction:
It's just. So so good. It starts pretty simple with the parts that play as you're just walking around the level, nothing too exciting. Nice little rock track. You get to the parts that play during normal battles and you think "okay this is pretty good, headbop level but not quite a banger." And then 3:15 hits. And all of a sudden you HAVE to air guitar to it. It's the law. Does it get a little repetitive? Maybe. But it really makes you feel like you're kicking ass so who cares

Gant's Utopia
Hey Hey this took a bit longer than expected. Things got a little hectic. An anonymous donor requested a Damon Gant fic from @gtgotcha4gaza
Damon Gant has some musing's on his patrol which gets interrupted by a shout. That shouldn't happen in his city, Crime didn't exist anymore
TW: Cruel giant
Gant's Utopia
Damon Gant was proud of his decision to help the humans. A place where no one acted against the letter of the law. He’d stomped out the worst of the worst for the civilians, literally. It made his patrols easy enough. A duty he wanted to fulfill despite the peace he’d-
“No!”
A scream pulled him from his thoughts. Gant narrowed his eyes and stormed over to the source. The buildings shook with each of his thunderous steps. The shadow of a smirk rested on his face. It had been a while since someone caused a disturbance. He couldn’t stop himself from hoping there might be a little fun to this one.
Gant stood at attention when he reached the scene. A quick scan to gather any information he could. A woman sat on the ground, her terrified eyes were sent his way. He could easily take her stance to be from his own steps, but the young man not far off made him doubt that. He held a purse that clearly didn’t match him. Gant wound up with a full blown smile.
“What’s going on here, ma’am?” He asked as he leaned down for a closer look. He made a point to lean until the buildings audibly groaned. A warning to the criminal in his sights and the rest of the town. They could never forget what it meant to break a law in his city.
“N-nothing, sir!” she squeaked. He frowned when she said that.
“Is that true, young man?”
“Y-yes sir!” he shouted. Gant sighed and shook his head.
“It looks to me like you’re holding this young woman’s purse. She screamed not even a minute ago, still telling me there’s nothing going on?” Gant sighed. It seemed obvious this woman might be trying to protect a petty criminal. He lifted his heel, shifted his foot, and lowered it again slowly. The crunch of metal rang out like music.
“I-I saw a rat, sir!” she screamed. Gant raised a brow at her. “I dropped my purse and the young man was just picking it up for me.”
“A rat?” he said. Gant rubbed his chin in thought.
“Y-yes that’s it! I was just picking it up for her!”
Gant smiled a bit as he stood up straight. A boisterous laugh burst from him, punctuated by the clapping of his hands. As usual, this kind of response shattered windows. The noise and pressure was too much for human made structures. He couldn’t help it when the humans tried to lie to him. It amazed him not a single one caught on that he could smell lies.
When he arrived this city had a seedy underbelly of criminal activity. It was by his own work that they had peaceful lives now. Usually, he’d take any effort to lie to him as an insult. Today he was in a good mood, and appreciated that the two gave him something to laugh about. He put an elbow on one of the buildings and rested his head in his palm.
“Go ahead then, give her back her purse,” Gant said. The young man climbed up to his feet. His whole body was shaking. Gant kept a narrowed gaze as the young man handed the woman her purse.
“Th-thank you,” she said.
“N-no problem,” the young man said.
He stood up straight again, clapped his hands together. “Well, with that settled, we should see to your punishment. Shouldn’t we, young man?”
“Punishment?!” Both of the humans shouted.
Gant smirked. He leaned forward until his shadow had covered the two completely. Slowly, he reached down. The alley the two were in was small. His arm would just barely fit between them. That wasn’t a problem. He forced his arm through, neither of the humans moved. It was a little sad that the would-be criminal didn’t even try to escape.
Just as his fingers reached the young man, he realized what was happening. It was too late to make an escape attempt. Gant pinched the man between two fingers and lifted him from the alley quickly. He had a bit of pride in the way that disoriented the criminals he dealt with. With a small flick of his wrist he dropped the man into his palm and curled his hand into a fist.
“L-lord Gant!” the woman screamed. Gant crouched so he was close enough to see her again. She was shaking, it made sense. She’d been protecting a criminal, even if the crime hadn’t succeeded. “I-it really was-”
“Now ma’am, you wouldn’t want to be caught aiding a criminal would you?” he said. Gant leaned forward. His shadow was all the woman needed to remind her of the power he held.
“I-I… no sir.”
“Good. Don’t worry, clearly this young man just needs to give back a bit.” Gant waved his hand that held the human around a bit. “Do some community service..”
The woman nodded, she understood exactly what he meant. Gant stood up tall and started on his way back to the remnants of the old legal system. It was the best spot for him to stay in the city. No innocent civilian that could be hurt from some mistake he never intended. It even had a cliff with an old apartment building nearby. Another thing he’d repurposed.
Gant dropped the young man in front of the apartment building, took a seat, and cleared his throat. It only took a few seconds for a procession of other humans to walk out of the building. He tilted his chin up slightly as they did. Just enough for his beard to be easy for them to reach.
The term community service wasn’t exactly the best. He served the community so they would serve him. After he felt it was long enough he would, sometimes, let them return to normal law-abiding lives. Plus it was a perfect way to keep an eye on troublemakers. All the humans of his city were aware. No one spoke against it. That had to mean they agreed.
“What’s going on?” he heard the young man ask. Gant waited, someone else knew to explain. This young man was likely from out of town. Came to the city where that old syndicate used to look for kids like him.
“Grab some shears. We have to trim his beard. Lord Gant doesn’t want to look unkempt when he next patrols.”
“I’m not trimming his damn beard! I thought he said community service!”
Gant turned his head down. Narrowed his eyes and sat up tall. He held a single thumb over the young man. He growled, “If you’d rather take a criminal’s punishment, I don’t mind.”
“N-no sir” The young man’s voice was almost so high Gant couldn’t hear it. “I-I’ll do my… my service.”
“Good choice!” Gant laughed as he tilted his head back up and slouched a bit. This was his favorite time of day. Soon enough he’d have a pile of food others brought to offer him. A few civilians would volunteer to shine his shoes too. It was what he deserved.
Damon Gant kept these humans safe from criminals. Used his abilities to help them live safe, fulfilling lives. Put the ne'er do wells to work helping to maintain his beard. The humans should do anything he asked at this point. Maybe even worship the ground he walked on. He was a god that gave them a utopia to live in. One he would continue to maintain until the day he died… he might even look into expanding it. Humans were weak and could use his guidance.

"Innocent Guilt" by me | (Also on DA)
Fam. Y'all. Chat. Dawg. I shouldn't have gone here and gotten this far because my focus has been cooked because of it. But I've been led down a lovely path of some top-tier playthroughs, dubs, parodies, stage plays, musicals, and the cursed world of the fan works from Objection.lol and elsewhere, including the few from this hyper-specific corner of the internet that I know exist. 😉
So, what's this visual about? Well, the law is already complex with corruption and general crime, and what better societal conflict to emphasize the drama of it all than size differences!?
(A bunch of context and the stock references are under the cut.)
Prior World building:
Let's just say that... after some time of the smaller souls slowly climbing the societal ranks to fully equal/equitable rights, respect, and treatment, someone somewhere said, "Fuck that," and all the small souls are suddenly dehumanized if not eradicated for being inferior.
Phoenix, while actually having a solid circle of peers, disappears, with said circle fearing the worst of him. He, at his lowest, somehow ends up by Miles, who takes him in.
I do think that shifting sizes is possible in this tale, but I didn't apply that for these two.
Of course, it's not all calm, and them learning about and dealing with each other, their pasts, present desires, and future outlooks is puzzling. It's a game of debates and mysteries; we love Discourse™.
I'm intrigued by a system where the smaller folks can be "protected" by being bound under some tall soul's "ownership," like a pet, with Miles considering convincing Phoenix to apply for it under him for his safety and Phoenix denying it every time... until he may have to or feign it, such as...
What I had in mind with this scene itself:
Miles insisted on Phoenix's expertise and views being useful for a case as part of an investigation. Phoenix is (physically) brought in his classic suit to remind others of his once-renowned history and skill. Yet, despite him being truly useful as Miles imagined he'd be, he's not taken seriously by anyone else. Perhaps the defense attorney got in a literal mess, needing to be bathed away in this moment, and here's they are in his regal mansion, discussing all that occurred in that tumultuous day, all going on a roller coaster of feels:
the case as a whole (with an updated case/autopsy report, of course),
what society deems fair and false,
past mistakes made,
the shared disappointment of and the later reassuring each other of their mutual value,
etc.
It could also be a scenario ending in the same vein but starting with Phoenix going off on his own for some time, fighting hubris to remind himself that he's a person, just to come back distraught and be brought back to a harsh reality.
Obviously, a bitty bathtub couldn't be provided, despite Miles' big bank account, because in this broken society, that would publicly imply that Miles has a pet petite person, and anything bad that could be point to Phoenix, regarding his whereabouts or social status, is, well, bad for all involved!
Nor did he already have one because he wasn't very social enough to invite all sorts of people, let alone anyone, over until recently.
Do they and the powers of friendship and love win in the end for redeemed rights? Find out on the next episode of the Steel Samurai! Imagine what you want, but I like a happy ending!
All of this aside, while I know this could've been made better (especially with shadows because I just can't be bothered), I'm proud of myself for getting this far!
Though, I will say, I don't think I'd ever be pleased with Miles' hair bangs/fringe. The original media have quality character design and are a lewk, but, likely due to his form being cropped, I couldn't angle or visualize the best angle for the hair bits. I hope that they were at least recognizable enough to detect that he was him, disregarding the hard carrying the classic suit and the jabot/cravat do.
The same goes for Phoenix, his suit, and his Sonic the Hedgehog hair, but that came out more rationally to me. particularly the latter if he's implied to be washing it.
How about these "unnecessary... feelings?"

Circa October 2024... Yes, really. Happy Unnecessary Feelings Day! (That wasn't planned, but sometimes things work out.)
It's fresh because I had to tell somebody about this ASAP, or I'd crash out, thus I moved it up the queue. I'm not the only one who sees the vision, right? This vision is surely one to be vast and expanded, right!?
You don't have to tell me that I should just write a story. Yes, I should, but I can barely commit to anything that isn't a one-off. A girl is busy.
If you know my history, this is likely going to become a collection for which I'm going to need some pun name. (Or, I could just call this "Ace Attorney Fanaticism" like with my X-Files trilogy, but that's boring.)

There's a bit of me that wanted to give this picture some "Turnabout" title, but I can't think of a good one. Do y'all have any ideas?
Where is AA7, for crying out loud!?

For Day 18 of GtWAC:
Share/Reblog a fic that hits you with some good ol angst.
~~~
More fandom stuff, but different one this time.
"Of Sun and Song" from @pain-is-too-tired. Like GEEZ, this hits me with way too much angst, but at the same time, I love how they play with the plot.
The fic is pretty much a bad-ending fic revolving around AA4-1/Turnabout Trump, where Apollo mysteriously goes missing. I won't spoil much, but the way they amp up the WTF factor, especially between the Gavin brothers, makes the angst so much more impactful. Also, be warned that it is very dark at times, despite the hurt/comfort.
The Justice Fairies AU
(Rainbow Magic x Ace Attorney Crossover AU)
Was recently reminded of the Rainbow Magic book series which is one of my first forays into g/t and then I thought, wouldn’t it be so much fun to have a crossover with my current g/t hyper fixation, Ace Attorney. So here is that AU.
Full Credit goes to @musicallygt cause I initially pitched the idea of Rainbow Magic crossover AU in the AA discord but they went all in with basic story idea, the AA characters that would make up the Justice Fairies (And drew them out too omg they look amazing!), even a freaking Jack Frost poem!! So yeah most of the ideas listed bellow were suggested by/or with them.
Synopsis: Jack Frost learns about the Justice Fairies of Fairyland and finds it unfair that he doesn’t get any justice of his own. He steals the Justice Fairies’ relics and hides them with his goblins on Earth. Around the same time Rachel and Kirsty have flown out to Los Angles for a week with their families. When they arrive they quickly discover how bad things have gotten, even being arrested for a crime they didn’t commit! Phoenix the Defense Fairy arrives and tasks the girls to help him and the other Justice Fairies find their relics to fix the Justice system. Things get even more complicated when the girls get roped into helping rookie lawyer, Apollo Justice, with a case.
The Seven Justice Fairies in this AU are:
Phoenix the Defense Fairy
Edgeworth the Prosecution Fairy
Gumshoe the Investigation Fairy
Maya the Assistant Fairy
Athena the Analytical Psychology Fairy
Ema the Forensic Science Fairy
Courtney the Judge Fairy
Bonus: Kay the Thief Fairy (She doesn’t have a major role in the main story of this au but has fun side story that might be explored as an epilogue or bonus chapter)
Just Some General Notes About the AU:
- Obviously since most of the main AA cast are fairies in this AU a lot of the AA canon is being either disregarded or reworked.
- The missing relics are: Phoenix’s Attorneys Badge, Edgeworth’s Prosecutor’s Badge, Missle (The Fairy Investigation Dog), Maya’s Magatama, Widget, Ema’s Forensic Glasses, and Courtney’s Gavel
- In the first book Rachel and Kirsty are trying to clear their names, with Apollo’s help while also looking for Phoenix’s badge, then Apollo gets a real case and the rest of the fairies will tie in with that case.
- Apollo doesn’t initially find about fairies but does suspect Rachel and Kirsty are hiding something. Later on in the story they do tell him the truth and he does end up helping in the search for the Justice Relics.
- When Apollo uses his perceive ability, Kirsty, Rachel and the fairies are convinced it’s magic.
- In this AU Rachel and Kirsty are dating and have been in a healthy long distance relationship for at least a year. Phoenix and Edgeworth are also a couple in this canon. Both couples also really like Apollo and Klavier together and will occasionally play wingman to help them get closer.
- Kay is a fairy in this AU but she isn’t considered a Justice Fairy, she just spends a lot of time with them. Mostly Edgeworth, Gumshoe, and Ema.
- She’s struggling with her talent as she’s a really good thief but Oberon and Titania disapprove of having a thief fairy. Kay is currently trying to assemble a group of crime fairies in hopes that will finally convince the king and queen. She has no luck so far as only goblins ever show up for auditions and they don’t really meet Kay’s standards.
Perhaps the coldest ace attorney take ever, but I really wish we got like. A top-down perspective on Apollo. An Apollo where all his backstories are allowed to interact and inform his character from the beginning.
What was it like for him to study law, trying to forget all his immigrant experiences and "blend in", when his childhood is the very reason he's pursuing the profession? Did Phoenix's career speak to him; a lawyer facing down impossible odds with horrible consequences if he fails, and never backing down? Never yielding?
Did Phoenix ever remind him of Dhurke?
Did that make it all the more painful when that man let him down?
Did Trucy remind him of himself? They're foils in so many ways, how did it feel to see an adopted kid trying to balance her birth heritage and her true family? To flaunt it and embrace it, instead of hiding and ignoring.
And he's foils with Athena: the kid who was never the most important piece on the board, versus the little girl that everyone put first, above even their own lives. How much does that s t i n g, to see how desperately Simon clings to protecting her, thinking how no one's ever done the same to him. Simon's so much like Nahyuta: loyal, unflinching, intelligent. And Athena is just the youngest child, the princess, sent away from homes and desperate to claw her way back.
And, well, Apollo's already seen what happens when he places his trust in people who remind him of his family.
Give me immigrant Apollo. Give me family issues Apollo. Give me Apollo who's been screwed over by the system one too many times, but wants to become a part of that system and rebuild it for the better. Give me Clay being an entity in his life in AA4, give me Apollo and Trucy bonding over being adopted, give me surprisingly-proficient-at-crime Apollo trying and failing comically to not be weird and no one in the WAA cares.
I know someone's written a gorgeous fanfic with this exact premise. I just have to find it.
He has a pearl necklace with a metal bead at the centre that his stylised 'G' logo hanging from it and there is a chain necklace with large links layered over the pearl necklace. He has a few silver earrings in, one of which has a dangling simple rectangle. The magazine is titled Rose Baby and text in the bottom right hand corner, layered over Klavier's shirt, reads "Klavier Gavin" in a large font and "Life after the Gavinners" in a smaller font underneath. Other headlines about the future of menswear, illustration in fashion, and court fashion are much smaller and positioned to the right of Klavier.
