I thought the hardest style to imitate would be Apollo Justice but that ended up being the easiest. Adapting Lynne to the Layton art style was quite tricky but i got there :)

Also I dont know if that pink highlight on Ema's hair fits the style but i thought that color looked cool hehe

okay, a NaNoWriMo poll!

PLvsPW Ghost Trick AU: remember "in the margins of the page"? yeah it's the full version of that, featuring a complete rewrite of the game! for those not in the know, it's an AU where I take PLvsPW and insert Ghost Trick mechanics and a little bit of the GT plot.

Azran Legacy v0: A prequel to the PL series set in the 1850s that's entirely to explain why there's a wooden boat in the Sanctuary that hasn't rotted out. A group of three people find Aurora together, and they go on the search for the eggs together.

PLvsPW assistant-apprentice swap: Luke is Phoenix's assistant for a court case, and Maya and Layton go to investigate a strange town together. (The court case involves an animal witness, and the strange town harks back to the myth of Excalibur.)

Trials And Tribulations and Investigations 2 are tied for my favorite!

If we're going with the slightly larger AA universe, then my favourites are definitely The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles (they're one game to me shhh). I'm replaying it right now, and it's such a delight. If we're keeping it to the mainline games, then I think Trials and Tribulations is definitely my favourite. It's such a brilliant payoff to the entire series and felt like a really fitting conclusion to the trilogy while keeping the door open for further development if wanted (with how Maya and Phoenix both end the game feeling... upset. lost. It's a great game, I love it dearly).

suddenly i want ghost trick-tgaa crossovers. not like just the lore this time but the actual characters from ghost trick existing in the time period/setting of tgaa. cabanela and barok interactions would make me the happiest woman alive. i need it ;ww;

on a related note, i feel like fans putting shu takumi on a pedestal is really just setting yourself up for disappointment in terms of the future of the series... of course long-running series are going to have changes in staff and thinking that no one else qualifies to write these characters just feels so... disrespectful?

i think if the series wants to continue it should grow and evolve!! aai1-2 and aa5-6 are good games without takumi's involvement and i'm sick of people acting like aa cannot and never should grow from takumi's initial vision (which, let's be real, ended after the first game. that was his vision for the concept.)

when i see aa fans not even giving aa5 and 6 a chance it's just so. sad to me. like you can never know what your opinion on something is until you give it a try and why wouldn't you do that for a series you love? i understand that pre-AJ trilogy remaster it was more difficult to play 5/6 but that's also not the case anymore since they're now on all platforms

it's especially bizarre when it seems to be purely a fandom echo chamber perspective like.. aa5 and 6 have the same metacritic score as aa3, one of the most beloved games in the fandom. aa5 is the highest rated aa game by famitsu. i know critic scores are rarely the best indicator for a game's quality but these games don't even have mixed critic/audience ratings and yet they're treated like the worst things to ever happen to the series by large groups of fans?

and it isn't like the older games don't have parts that are heavily criticized but for some reason flaws are just. impermissible for these two games. i don't know it just sucks i wish more people would trust their own judgments instead of blindly following others... everyone has different tastes and will experience things differently!!

tl;dr can you at least hate on aa5 and 6 after playing them. PLEASE
