“What’s out there?”

Missile’s tail waved harder. “Miss Lynne said when a star falls you should make a wish! I saw one, I did!”

“Yeah? What’d you wish for?”

“That everyone will always be safe!” Missile’s tongue lolled as he turned his head toward the side table. “And a doughnut!” Sissel blinked with amusement as he followed Missile’s gaze. One of those wishes would be easy to grant.
