Nightmares of distant memories

[Image description: a comic of Sissel and Kamila from Ghost Trick in the new timeline. In the first panel, Sissel is sleeping in a cat tree at night, when he hears a murmur of: "Mmnooo... Stop. No. I... Nooo".

Sissel initially thinks: "Whuzzat?" while still asleep, before he suddenly jumps up, awake and alert. He realizes: "Wait! That's Kamila!"

Panel 2 reveals Kamila asleep in her bed next to him. She's sweating and clutching her pillow, and her dream plays out in the background in intense colors. It's a nightmare of her being possessed by Yomiel, and pointing a gun at Lynne. Distorted text reads: "Wouldn't it be just what he wanted? To be executed by his own daughter?"

(Panel 3) Sissel jumps into her bed, and uses a ghost trick to pull up Kamila's blanket around her shoulders. In the dream, he appears in front of Kamila as a glowing blue cat silhouette at first, saying: "You've been through so much. And you don't even remember it..."

(Panel 4) In the dream, he takes on Yomiel's form, but with a bushy black tail. He smiles reassuringly, and puts a hand on Kamila's shoulder, telling her: "You're very brave."

In the dream, Kamila smiles back and tears up. In her bed, she puts an arm around Sissel's body, and smiles peacefully. End ID.]

I love this one because I headcanon that memories of the old timeline leak into the new one in the form of dreams and nightmares. Don't worry, Sissel is there to help soothe the soul
