whyy are concerts so expensive and not close to me ಠ╭╮ಠ

#i talk #fuckn..montreux jazz festival with the best lineup but theres only two bands per concert and each costs over 100 #i could get there easily by train but the hotels are all booked #man if they had day passes to see several bands..air/soft cell/duran duran/kraftwerk/smashing pumpkins all on different dates..#absolutely not spending 500 for that excluding train and hotel #plus air is playing an openair festival next to where i work and they start 30mins after my shift on sunday #so i think ill just stand outside and listen lmao probably cant see inside though #alsoo the chameleons are doing a tour and its probably my only chance to see them and theyre like my fave rn #closest theyre doing is munich but like i have a direct train that takes 3.5 hours #i rly wanna do it but ill also need a place to stay overnight and idk how much i can trust se deutsche bahn or flixbus #and also its like 2 days before oktoberfest starts. im really hoping to avoid that esp munich #frankfurt might also be an option hmmm #i was thinking about literally going on a short trip to brighton to see them in august but idk if thats too much #would be more expensive too and id have to take a plane #ahh this is hard and i make it much harder by overthinking everything #ive never been to a concert in another country no idea how different/same it is

Tbh I'm gonna go back to an iPhone

#i love my xperia but its full of multiple bugs that sony refuses to fix or even acknowledge #on top of their customer support being a nightmare to even get into contact with #through any avenue tbh #not to mention only two years of software updates and three of security updates which like.#I'd rather not be carrying around a Huge Risk Factor in my pocket #i can say a lot of shit about apple #all of which is true but at least they have a pretty decent commitment to consumer privacy?#idk i wanted to like this phone and the android experience and for literally so many reasons I very much do!#native 3.5 mm headphone jack and expandable storage are so nice #as is the camera and 4k screen #but at the end of the day the signal is spotty #and if you have more than one wifi network saved into the phone it will reset itself constantly #and even if you don't it will just kind of Do That #not to mention that after one software update sony put out the blacks in my screen started to have a green tint #betextyiff

Was gonna vent once I got back to my dorm but my bus has been stuck in the same 2 blocks for ages so I’m over it now actually I’m annoyed at different things now

It is pretty insane that the price of Girl Scout cookies has literally doubled in my short lifetime. Sold those fuckin mints door to door for $3 in da bush administration. Inflation rocks

#and old ladies would come up to us at grocery table sales and be like I used to sell those for x amount and you’d nod and be bored #but if I ever saw some Girl Scouts out selling id have to be restrained bc id start physically shaking them and screaming about the $3 days #the cycle CONTINUES!!!!!!#god and when they made it $3.50 it made the math so fucking complicated when ppl would order 5 of em #but to this day I’ve got my 3.5 times tables down like THAT. better than any actual reasonable times table LOL #like wtf is eight times seven. idk #<-exaggeration I think it’s 42 but like I’m not so sure. however 3.5x7…I got that immediately

GODMODE album has been out for 33 slutty slutty minutes as of writing this and it is already shaping up to become one of my favourites. I haven’t even gotten to the ice nine kills collaboration track yet (once I do it will all be over I will be dead and dead and dying my two favourite bands on one song is too much)

I feel like I have ascended to a new level of nerd. I am learning a different rpg system (besides the half dozen I already know to varying degrees) to get a more accurate idea of the abilities of a fictional character so I can improve my fanfiction based on several hundred hours of watching other people play that game. This is genuinely the nerdiest thing I have ever done.
