Thinking about Rebirth Cid being all chummy and physically touchy. He's that way with Vincent too and at first Vincent's kind of like Cloud, all bewildered, like "??? hello excuse me what. are you doing all that for???" but over time as they get closer he gets used to it and even starts to like it?? He realizes he's actually touch-starved and Cid is just treating him like everyone else and not some horrible monster undeserving of affection or friendship and it secretly touches Vincent to the core and he starts seeking out the pilot's company and at some point those touches become much more... intimate.

The worst part about Aerith dying in Rebirth? We will NEVER get to see her Synergy attacks with Cid and Vincent.

Cid has a battered old radio in his workshop. It catches a frequency that plays old songs, sometimes nostalgic for couples dancing to the rhythm of soft blues, other times all it plays is rock music and Cid hums the lyrics absentmindedly.

Sometimes Cid can hear soft humming coming from somewhere above him, as silent as the turning of pages. Vincent likes to read, perched most of the time on one of the crates or the wing of one of the planes. Sometimes a rafter, others a chair next to Cid’s as the engineer goes over blueprints and equations.

That day the radio station plays a soft but rhythmic melody that Cid will be the first to admit he doesn’t know how to dance to, but he doesn’t really care as he reaches out to Vincent with an extended hand in invitation. Vincent, who had been watching him swing around the workshop, a feeling of peace and happiness in that smile that carefully keeps the cigarette Cid is smoking in place, accepts Cid’s extended hand. Without warning he is lifted from the chair, twirled around and back in the blonde’s arms.

The song ends and is followed by a softer one that Vincent recognizes from back when he was still a Turk for ShinRa.

They sway together to the voice of the singer who reminds her love that she’s forever theirs.

Played FF7 alongside my friend yesterday and we have decided that Cid counts as a girlboss and you can pry this out of my cold dead hands

After nearly 70 hours of playing ff7rebirth, I finally see Mr. Cid Highwind! I love him so damn much. Asides Rude, he is my most favorite character in FF7. HE LOOKS SO DAMN GOOD

I can wait for him to be playable and his arc in the 3rd part, esp certain parts…

Did I mention I love Cid very much??

When he takes over as leader was when i really started to love that man in the original game. Esp that whole thing with Shera and Rocket Town. Him taking over as leader was the thing that did it for me though.

Final boss fight in the OG, I had Cloud, Tifa, and Cid in my party. I made him a badass healer lolol he had all of Aerith’s materia on him lol.

He’s married now and still hard to believe LOLOL I wonder if he’s a father type~ I feel like he’s the type who would spoil his kids

Writing about your OC's backstory is fun and games, until the urge to doodle comes up. Then it's doodle time.

Either way, doodled some of Valerian's eating habits.

Due to growing up in a lab, he learned to not be a picky eater. Scarfing down anything he got his hands on, in case someone would take it away.

That also means he is easy to bribe with good/normal food.

Like that one time he rummaged through a certain pilots trash, only to get invited to lunch at a local burger joint.
