Now that I know it's been confirmed that Shinichi and Kaito are cousins, I'm dropping that ship faster than if it was molten lava in my hands.

Guess I'll stick with KaiAo (the canon ship for Kaito) and HakuKai (a very old ship of mine from elementary school).

But now I have a very good excuse to make even more found family Shinichi and Kaito stories. Imagine finding out that you have a cousin and he's a world-wide known thief while you are one of the best detectives in the modern day?

I joined tumblr and twitter around the same time, mid 2019. I have a moderate following here, but over there I've never been able to cultivate any audience whatsoever. None. Plenty of bots, sure, but the only human to ever interact with me was a big artist who I commissioned a couple times, and they follow all their regulars indiscriminately, so I've spent the last four years tweeting into the void. The most recent round of apartheid nepo manchild fuckery was finally enough to drive me away from the bird site for good. My time there was a failed experiment, and I'm ashamed of myself for allowing it to drag on this long with so little to show for it. I have friends on tumblr, but not so much as a single acquaintance on twitter. Good riddance.

Summary: The third letter Petunia receives from Albus Dumbledore simply can’t be right.

Harry stirs on her shoulder as Petunia marches through the hedge gate, warm irritation stoking to hot anger. How dare Albus Dumbledore lead her on this wild goose chase? Lily wouldn’t live in a ruin. This simply can’t be.   “Pad?” Harry’s voice is high and sweet. “Pad?” “I have no idea what that means,” Petunia murmurs. The door creaks and groans. It’s hanging on by a single hinge. She lets out a shocked laugh. “No! This is simply not acceptable. Not appropriate. Lily,” she calls through the open door. “Lily, if you’re here, come out now. I’ve brought your son.” There is no answer from inside. “Of course,” Petunia mutters under her breath, a fresh flare of anger closing her throat. “Of course you wouldn’t answer. Lily,” she calls again. “James?” No answer. “Ridiculous,” she hisses, and strides through the door, into the foyer. Something breaks under Petunia’s slippered foot. A snap? A crunch? The sound distorts in her memory almost immediately. Petunia draws her foot back with a gasp and bends, Harry held securely in her arms, to see what Lily—what whomever might have left on the floor in the entryway. It’s a pair of glasses.

What if Petunia Dursley didn't find Harry at the doorstep when she put out the milk? What if she had had enough of getting letters from Albus Dumbledore?
