Hamas is a heinous, murderous, vile terrorist group that’s intent on killing Jews.

But you can’t say they haven’t been honest about their intentions. Their manifesto, the interviews they’ve given, and the way they try to brainwash children through schools and media content have all been quite blatant in showing their modus operandi.

However, despite their very brutal honesty, why do Hamas-sympathisers try so hard to make Hamas look like good guys by defending literal crimes in the most insane ways?

It’s worrying and also shocking as these hypocrisies are such common sentiments coming from college campuses, which were once institutions that honed critical thinking.

Do they think that “kill all Jews” is a code phrase for “we want our territory back”? How do you possibly interpret open calls for the annihilation of Jews in any other way than what it is?

Do they not think that kidnapping women, raping and torturing them, and parading their naked, mutilated bodies around town to sexually humiliate them while men cheer is sexual violence against women? Isn’t this a feminist issue, part of the MeToo movement?

“Think about the children!” Yes, but when babies are beheaded and burned, when 4 year olds are kidnapped and orphaned, is claiming that these are AI-generated images and ripping down the posters of the hostages thinking of the children?

They cry out about war crimes but ignore that raping women and taking hostages are literally war crimes.

They scream to boycott companies for their ties to Israel using devices with technology designed in Israel. Will they give up their life’s pleasures because of their ties to Israel? My money is on no, because it’ll affect them personally and heaven forbid they take up activism that actually would inconvenience them in the slightest.

They claim to be experts in geopolitics after watching one TikTok video and claim that this is about territory and not antisemitism while also saying that Israelis can just “go back to whichever other country they also have citizenship in”. While turning a blind eye to the multiple antisemitic attacks around the world, and calling Israelis “white colonisers”.

They also claim to be champions of mental health awareness, experts in the psychological mechanisms of mental illnesses and take cautions to avoid triggers and micro-aggressions so as to not offend those who have psychological conditions. “We should let those who actually have these conditions speak up about their experiences!!”

But then when it comes to actual psychologically stressing situations like being kidnapped and taken hostage, they suddenly can speak for the hostages and know exactly what went on based on the most vacuous, flimsy evidence? “Oh she’s in love with her captor, she’s smiling at him! They’re smiling and waving, they must have been treated nicely by Hamas!”

How do they sleep at night with these competing ideologies in their heads? What do they achieve by making all these seem like the actions of good people?

They’re like Hamas’ PR team and defence attorneys rolled into one.

No matter what crime Hamas commits, they’ll come up with justifications and make it look like some kind of beneficent act of humanitarianism.

It’s so exhausting trying to reason with people who don’t see reason.

How about 'Alex’s work experience'

So this is a Slow Horses / Alex Rider crossover idea because they totally conceivably exist in the same extended spy universe where intelligence operatives are running all over London.

But the premise being Alex (Rider, you may have heard of him 😅) post-SCORPIA being sent to Slough House for ‘work experience’ that’s mostly just a punishment from Blunt/General reminder of how good he has it as a forcibly conscripted child spy, and how much he’d probably actually hate working a boring office job. Featuring lots of Alex getting a grim vision of his future in the mirror of himself that is River Cartwright, everyone freaking out about what to do with the sixteen year old foetus sitting in their break room, but Alex being the most proven/experienced/capable agent amongst the junior horses, and everyone else slowly picking up on that, but still with a baffled sort of horror bc. Why can the baby kill.

People under occupation, people whom the russian occupation authorities imprisoned and tortured in specially designated premises, and dungeons, as was the case in Bucha, Irpin, Izyum and many other cities of Ukraine, are now underwater. Their bodies will be there now until the water goes.

Numbers of endangered species of animals and plants in the South of Ukraine will disappear. And you know what the UN and Red Cross doing? One is celebrating the day of the russian language the other is writing an article about how hard moscow works on the development of humanitarian law. Have any eco-activist, organisations written a word about it? Nothing. No one is helping. No one cares.

Yesterday, I received a letter from an eco-community. About saving bees. Funny things? Ukraine is one of the largest honey-exporting countries. But no one cares what's going on here. I went to a pro Israel/stop antisemitism rally yesterday and I might be bias bc I've never been to a rally or anything like that before but it was pretty chill, like a bunch of us just stood on the street and a band was there, and some guy dressed up as Moses and stood on a pillar which is such a jewish thing to do honestly.

it was run and organised by Christians (which by the way thank you to all the Christians who support the jews and Israel we love you so much!!!) and they tried so hard to play songs that we knew in Hebrew but they played songs we knew in different tunes so we were kinda just standing there like what the hell

there was a pro palestine rally literally 2 streets away from us at the same time. it was fine until they started coming closer, I couldn't see them because I'm just short but god their drum was fucking loud. like shaking the ground like of loud it was insane. They were shouting something I couldn't really make out but they were obviously heading towards us and there was definitely like 10 times as many of them as there was of us.

when I tell you there was so much police there I am not exaggerating. literally all of the main road where we were was covered in police cars and there was easily over 300 officers there. I left before before the pro palis actually got to us (idk if they actually did or not) so idk what happened after that but yeah that was my experience.

honestly I don't recommend going to rallies they're not that fun and yeah its nice to have like community and stuff but by having a rally we're literally stooping down to the pro palistinians level which is exactly what we don't want to be doing

also one of the buildings next to us had a rooftop bar and there were some drunk old ladies dancing to our music it was hilarious and adorable at the same time
