STUFF IS HAPPENING!!!! Wowowow so much stuffs its crazy how much stuffs is… I don’t… it’s… uhm, happening?!! I thought I should clear some shits up. Ok so basically I’m working on four simultaneous projects somehow!!! Two AUs (“Mystery Delta Dungeon” and Deltaswap Inspired “Delta Scene Change” title STILL pending) and the fourth and fifth iteration in my kind of Deltarune… Krerdly… series?? Idk what to call it but just know that that’s happening! The two new mainline fics don’t overlap too-too much which means working on both sort of at the same time is pretty stress free in the continuation department. Soo those are going smoothly (even if they’re still both kinda in the draft phase) and I’m really happy with the vibes there!! I actually decided to implement the fourth in the middle of the fifth so it’s more of a compliment to the series than anything but I definitely think it’s needed and a super welcome addition in my opini-onion. *~^* ~

The order I’m aiming to release my projs is Delta Dungeon 1st -> Delta Scene Change 2nd -> Pieromancer 3rd -> Boons and Banes of Love 4th! I think THINK (think) that Delta Dungeon could be finished by this year if I do a good job ;^> but don’t count on it because deadlines were my downfall for my last upload “Cosmetic Heart Container”. ònó I made the setting a friggin mall and pulled that “big fish small pond” shit at a MALL like omg there was so much… potential and I frew it all up but WHATEVER I’m proud of the buildup!! Just wish I didn’t have to spoil my own fun with deadlines (fuck deadlines)… maybe I’ll rewrite a sort of continuation for that fic and double it’s size when everything else is said and done?? I’ll see!!!! It definitely deserves justice!!

Speaking of aftermaths: I’ve been rolling the idea of a Catti-focused fic in my brain for a bit now. Don’t know about the nitty gritty details but after everything I think it could be fun to promote “major side character” to “main character” and see what happens. Don’t want to pull a Spamton NEO and drop dead after I sever my last string from Deltarune lol (ouch @o@) (won’t happen anytime soon @v@‘).

Militat Omnis Amans: The Beginnings by edaen - 92k words, fantasy, werewolf!jk, vampire!jm, forbidden love, super slow burn but super worth it, JIKOOK IN THIS IS MY FAVORITE JIKOOK IN ANY FIC EVER EVER EVER, this is the ultimate all or nothing will freeze hell over for the other kind of love, and the way this is written is just so... how do i describe it. like you can just tell the author wanted to be very realistic with their feelings. you’ve seen the word count, this is SLOW burn. like you will legit feel their struggle to just be able to love each other and while it hurts, it’s also SO GLORIOUS. i love this one so much and if you like reading angst with happy ending but like cranked up to 200% then read this. bonus feels if you read the whole series

Until Dawn (series) by edaen - this is the long series where the previous one above is part of. highly rec if you love fantasy and you wanna read about bts being a rag tag group of supernatural beings fighting evil yay. also it makes the above fic more satisfying because you see more of jikook just being tgt and in love (with bonus angst because of course)

Alright, I’ll share what I got.

Despite White Trucks size, he is not outstanding in.. well, any category really.

He’s not very fast, strong or smart. All of his mass went into his height, not his strength. Although he is very good at tinkering and building things here and there, he isn’t outstanding. And you would think he’s fast because of his long legs, but he isn’t all that fast. Being fast isn’t just a matter of long legs, its also a matter of strength and endurance. Of which, he doesn’t have much of either.

Now I know I seem to be beating down on him down a little, but he is nothing short of a soldier, despite his scout rank. He has a heart of solid gold and will put himself on the line without question and pushes himself to his absolute limit to make up for his short comings.

Seeing him in battle, you would be none the wiser about the low stats I just mentioned, because he is conculcated. His passion for justice drives him to be the best scout he can be. He says, “here’s what I have, here are my limits, and here is how I’m going to use them to my teams most advantage.” 

He is an excellent fighter, very skilled in utilizing the ability's he does have and making them count. Did I also mention that he is the purest baby and loves everybody? :}

Robotnik having controls for his robots built straight into his gloves, that shit is tight

Robotnik actually explaining WHY he prefers robots over people for once

establishing from the beginning that Sonic gives people nicknames, which easily sets up for calling Robotnik “Eggman” and, presumably, Tails’ nickname if/when we get a sequel (and who knows, maybe even “Knuckles” will turn out to be a nickname too!)

on that note, the reason why the nickname “Eggman” was eventually introduced (I can’t believe I didn’t see it coming)

Maddie just kind of rolling with it when Tom asks her to examine Sonic

SONIC FACEPLANTING (and the fact that I called it way before the movie was even finished)

the fact that Tom and Sonic actually had good chemistry!! it would’ve been really easy for the movie to have Tom constantly irritated by Sonic to try to play up the humor of the mismatch, but I appreciate SO much that instead Tom really is kind of charmed by him and also just rolls with it

Sonic’s soul-crushingly intense loneliness acting as a tangible motivation to protect the friends he finally makes!! I mean yeah, we always admire that Sonic places a lot of value on his friendships, but making that the culmination of his character arc instead of the starting point is just SO SATISFYING

the SHEER JOY Sonic gets from being able to give a high-five for the first time

when Tom carries Sonic in his arms, the CG communicates that Sonic has WEIGHT (which I feel like a lot of IRL/CG interactions forget)

Sonic rolling up into a ball, and more than once

how much Sonic genuinely and deeply cares about the residents of Green Hills and kind of lives vicariously through them

Robotnik being, let’s face it, straight-up abusive and occasionally threatening to his assistant, a la SatAM, while also demonstrating that he favors him above all others (tho that’s really not saying that much because anyone that’s not a robot is still a waste of space to him)

Sonic running repeatedly in front of Tom’s radar gun to check his speed

SONIC DOING THE FLOSS I CAN’T HANDLE IT

Sonic’s innocence. It seems like in a lot of media lately he’s been the one teaching lessons or providing others with those little simple joys they’ve been deprived of. It’s really gratifying to see HIM in that position and being so grateful to finally have those experiences.

Sonic saying his legs “feel like spaghetti” due to Tom shooting him with a tranq dart (and the fact that this actually makes him physically vulnerable, which is so damn rare)

Sonic using level 100 smarm to demonstrate to Tom that he doesn’t know how to get to San Francisco by himself

Sonic’s map containing even more game references, including (if I remember correctly) the Blue Sphere ‘planet’

And just a couple things I wish were changed:

In the bar, when the server asks if Sonic is “a kid in a mask” and Tom tells her he’s “43 and has a condition” that makes him look like that, why 43?! He should’ve said 28!! SONIC IS CURRENTLY 28 IT’D HAVE BEEN PERFECT~

The fact that Robotnik only really starts looking like Robotnik as we know him in the couple minutes of the epilogue. I wish his appearance had changed -- or at least started to change -- in time for the final showdown. Like, maybe there could’ve been an explosion that burned off some of his hair (which would explain WHY he decides to shave his head, since the hair’s half-gone anyway) and bushed up his mustache, and then the impact of the chaos-charged spin dash is still when the mustache got all orange

The movie makes a point a few times about how Sonic’s just kind of throwing whatever he can find on his feet, and just before act 3 Maddie even comments on “his poor feet” while examining him. The movie even specifically shows that his shoes and socks have holes in them because of how much stress he puts on them (and it’s not like he can just go get new ones when he needs them). Since he spends most of the movie with inadequate footwear, and the health of his feet is kind of majorly important to his character, I wish Sonic had intermittently complained about them hurting to corroborate that. Or maybe even never verbally complaining about them, maybe just now and then when they have a moment to pause he could be seen rubbing or squeezing them.

I really, really wish Tom’s dog’s name was Muttski! (But hey, given that Sonic is prone to assigning nicknames, maybe that could be a nickname for the dog in a later movie!)

Because i can't decide on what else to do: headcanons

Some assassination classroom headcanons about Gakushu, Karma, and Nagisa within the seven year gap. Or it all can be taken as just in general stuff because heck, it probably counts for other parts of their lives. Here we go!

For Gakushu:

-got addicted to coffee and now constantly has a mug of the stuff with him. He's got different mugs to keep variety.

-his highest amount of coffee cups per day is 15. But thats just on record its no quota

-rarely ever sleeps unless someone knocks him out or he has a sort of crash

-everyone refers to him as Asano, even himself. One could say he's kind of having issues with a problem of being unable to separate his own identity from his fam, but if you throw this in his face he'll deny it and be extremely conscious about it for a while.

-morning involve him getting out of bed, having a bagel or something and lying to his dad's face about getting enough sleep. Lets all face it: they both lie to eachother about sleep and just kind of keep it that way, neither wanting to bother to fix their issues enough to validly bring up the other's

-gakushu, if ever involved in a scheme where nagisa would usually be put in the dress, openly volunteer to both spare the boy and reason it as upstaging, specifically because either karma or rio said "nobody does it better than nagisa". He does it better because he's actually confident with the look, and nagisa was pretty grateful.

-he still group texts his big 5 pals

-can imitate voices crazily easily

-nagisa is helpful for asano. He helps him figure out his feelings and maybe reveals what emotions he tries to cover up.

-he at some point wonders how he would look with long hair and one summer, against his father's wishes, Gakushu grew it out. And due to his superhuman devil fam genes, it grew out pretty quick and shocked his class

-actually pretty impulsive when it comes down to things. Things got a little ugly when he tried to quit his addiction, and so karma had to be summoned to stop gakushu from, well, drinking pure caffiene he extracted from basically sciencing a bunch of coffee.

-expert at other people, fool when it comes to himself

-has heard stories and hates nagisa's mom. Zero trust

-supports nagisa and karma in things, tho usually subtly

Alright! On to Karma:

-prankster that can't resist doing what he thinks is funny, especially if it involves Asano

-tries to remember to call Asano by his first name as much as humanly possible. Though Gakushu is longer saying wise, its the guy's name.

-texting nagisa at any opportunity

-adores guys, adores guys in dresses, and just. Yeah he's gay keep scrolling

-visits good old E class to pick the lock and hang out in the empty rooms. Keeping desks clean, doodling on the chalkboard, all sorts of that stuff. He doesn't admit it, but he sometimes cries soley because he misses people

-karma is really emotional but does a good job at surpressing this when he needs to and generally acting chill all the time

-would throw hands with any enemy if they return, especially takaoka the friggin bastard

-and yes, be will put his pals in dresses. Anything that looks nice, yes

-catch him off guard and he still gets that full face blush

-throw hands with him he dares you

-if its a fun impulse he will let gakushu do it, and in fact, encourage it

-visits the guy through his lil balcony. Wants to visit nagisa but nagisa is far away and it makes him kinda sad

-apprehensive and embarassed at first, but yes, he shall dawn the dress one time. Gakushu and nagisa have bunches of pictures. The tables have been turned

-finds it fun when people get passionate over things - this is why he likes to fight gakushu in academics and the occasional spar if the guy wants.

-will call u cute in that certain tone he uses for people

-supports nagisa's haircut. Like hell yes!!! Nagisa is being himself!!!!

Now, finallyy, Nagisa:

-really just polishing his already perfect assassin skills

-paints his nails so they look shiny like snake scales, like that metallic green that shines to blue to purple in certain lights. Who said nail paint had to be a girly thing? Especially when it looks so cool

-still working on getting his mom to leave him alone and undo some of the damage she's left him with. Also uses his knowledge on how to cope to help Gakushu get past his sleeping habits and air out the bits of toxicity that remain between him and his father. Remember, if you get more sleep than your jerky father, you're better than him and winning

-will decline crossdress requests until further notice. He wants to be comfy with his own body and until he can get himself away from the thoughts of his past with his crappy mom that still bother him, no skirts.

-goes to therapy because he wants to get better and get past feelings he has trouble with letting go

-the afformentioned boys love his spooky faces and smiles

-will give a cheek smooch to close pals if they ask him. Cheek smooch is platonic in his eyes usually!

-he and kayano are gossip buds and often talk over feelings. She supports him and he does his best to do the same

-he wants to visit karma but... there is so much schoolwork.... hfkjgh

-also! Deathly afraid of growing apart from his friends, esp. Karma

- "asano please for the love of god take the dresses mom keeps sending me i dont want them burn them"

-if takaoka ever became a problem again things would probably escalate to bloodshed this time

-he is still the best assassin and can definitely sneak into wherever his classmates or even where asano starts work to visit them

-will give other pals nails the snake gradient paint job. Karma's will have a firey scale look and asano gets a cool purple to lightish red

-suggested the new hairdo karma has

-rlly honestly just cool and love his friends and supports them

WIG REVIEW: CAPTAIN MARVEL

Ok fine I saw this! As I have written before, we are all now obliged to see all Marvel Universe movies...so that we may see upcoming Marvel Universe movies. It’s a never-ending cycle that will continue forever and has made us collectively watch like years of long-ass movies but we will never ever stop.  THE NEXT AVENGERS MOVIE COMES OUT IN A MONTH LET’S JUST DO THIS. But what about the wigs? Let’s discuss.

We begin in outer space, where people/aliens (?) wear kimono tops and train to fight in some intergalactic war that I definitely don’t care about and Jude Law wears terrible contact lenses. Brie Larson is identified as “Vers” and as  contractually obligated by any female Marvel Universe lead, wears a terrible wig. It is kind of dried out, kind of curly, kind of a mess, but in that breezy/sexy way, and for only this opening scene, is rightfully pulled back into a pony so she can train to fight. Jude has some alien name that I don’t care to remember and tells Brie constantly that she’s too much of an emotional woman and I already see what they’re doing here FINE. 

Anyway, before anything is explained about what the hell is going on in this planet, Brie and Jude are suited up and off to do some covert operation that I truly do not understand or care about. However, I cannot emphasize enough how much I disliked Jude’s contacts throughout the entire movie.

For this covert operation, Brie gets suited up in this...lewk? I do not know how or why her hair is forced into a mohawk but much like everything else happening in this movie at this point: NO EXPLANATION EVEN THOUGH VERY NECESSARY. THIS IS NOT THE LEWK.

Anyway, something goes awry and Brie ends up kidnapped by some other aliens (?) and put into some memory extracting device where we catch glimpses of “Vers” actual self back in the good ‘ol USofA. Most of these memories involve a younger version of Brie getting knocked down and told to stick to gender stereotypes and OMG I GET WHAT YOU ARE DOING MOVIE - OY.

And then somehow she escapes from the memory machine and gets catapulted to earth, specifically to Los Angeles in  1995 and GET READY FOR 90s REFERENCES! BLOCKBUSTER! RADIO SHACK! GRUNGE! SONGS YOU HAD HOPED TO NEVER HEAR AGAIN! There is even an elaborate chase scene through the LA subway system that felt very much like a sequel to Speed (except NOT Cruise Control - NO THANK YOU). Through it all, Brie’s beachy waves remained perfectly quaffed without any thought to putting it back. This actually outraged not just me but the entire viewing population who DEMANDED A HAIR TIE FOR CAPTAIN MARVEL AMEN. 

Also, we meet some Shield Agents as “played” by Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg but mainly played by CGI de-aging technology. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: MARVEL JUST PLEASE USE THIS TECHNOLOGY TO GIVE US MORE 80s-90s MOVIES AND NOT MORE AVENGERS MOVIES I’M SO TIRED PLEASE.

Anyway, Brie and Samuel team up to go and try to figure out who the hell she even is (and like hard same on that - please explain yourself, movie!) and in order to go under cover at some airplane hangar, she wears this hat. Definitely can’t see your beachy wig under there now, gurl!

Then finally - FINALLY! - we meet Goose the cat. This cat was a large part of the promotional campaign for this movie and as a crazy cat lady IT ABSOLUTELY WORKED. However, I was already bummed that the friggin name of the cat was changed from Chewie to Goose to reference Top Gun and please movies: never change anything to reference Top Gun. 

Anyway, I was led to believe that this cat would be Brie’s sidekick but it was more like Samuel’s side kick? Or really like no one’s side kick (cats don’t do that - which is fair) but also I honestly could have used about 1000% more cat content in this movie, just saying. 

Regardless, we finally start getting some answers about “Vers” who is actually Carol DanVERS (Jude only saw the last part of her dog tag - get it?!?!?!), an American pilot who got stolen to space once by Jude.  Carol used to work for Annette Bening in her covert operation MAR-VELL (DO YOU GET IT? IT’S MARVEL. DO YOU GET IT THO?????)

OBVIOUSLY, I LOVE ANNETTE BENING. But her talents and green contacts and fabulous grey coif are all wasted here. I WILL REMIND YOU ALL THAT ANNETTE BENING STILL DOESN’T HAVE AN OSCAR SO STOP MAKING HER WASTE HER TIME ON MARVEL MADNESS PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

Anyway, we get some more flashbacks to Carol Danvers piloting days, when she actually used a hair tie like a rational human being. Wait is this whole loose beach hair thing supposed to be a result of alien living? Nah.

Well Brie and her beach waved wig then become Captain Marvel in her new USA-themed suit and kick a lot of Jude Law and intergalactic ass all while remaining completely curled and not in her face while fighting. Wonders never cease! I think that Hollywood needs to realize that having hair look “perfect” all the time is NOT GOOD OR BELIEVABLE. Seriously this hair withstands like a nuclear explosion at one point and still stays easy/breezy/beautiful. Huh?

Oh also in order to fly, she still has to use that mohawk helmet with Bonnie Tyler music video eyes and no - I still don’t know why. TURN AROUND BRIGHT EYES.

In the end, Brie saves the world and keeps her bewigged hair from looking bedraggled by remembering every time a boy told her she couldn’t do something or got knocked off a car or wall or whatever, like some inspirational Nike commercial about getting up and trying again and OMG PLEASE STOP WITH THE FEMINIST PANDERING. I get it - we all get it. 

I truly wanted to love this movie and it’s not all bad but everything is just so heavy handed and clunky, much like the 90s itself. And then they played a Gwen Stefani song and I wished this movie were Wonder Woman again. They do have something in common, though: bad wigs.

Okay seriously but dr maddiman's story is SO SAD

His wife literally left him on april fools day!!! And he sat there waiting at the door and crying until midnight just in case it was a joke and she came back

AND THEN HE DIED

And we dont even know WHEN he died! His journals just slowly peter off into nothing after the depressing divorce day. Just "i need to work i need to work" and talking about how he doesnt take care of himself now he has nobody to live for and how he doesnt even remember why he's working anynore but he's scared if he stops working he'll remember that his family left him. And he doesnt know how to cook and he just makes shitty gruel out of whatever was left in the fridge after his wife left and he doesnt ever buy any more groceries and uhh.. Well.. At some point he died. He basically committed suicide by sheer denial. The goddamn diary about being unable to cook trails off into just repeating "tasty gruel" over and over in increasingly gnarled handwriting. And in japanese the word for gruel was a pun on another rather infamous depressing scienceman's last journal in resident evil. So while the dub wrote it out in full sentences instead the original was kinda like... Incoherant rambling of a guy who died mid sentence. Thats what the reference would immediately communicate to anyobe who'd played RE...

And man its just SO SAD cos even before he basically killed himself with unhealthy coping mechanisms, he ruined his own life with the same problem. He became distant from his wife and child because he loved them so much but he didnt know how to communicate it and he just ran away from all of his problems. He buried himself in his work to avoid facing the fact he was having relationship issues with his wife, which obviously just made it worse. And his whole work in the first place was from a stupid idea that he could "keep everyone i love safe if i take over the world". Like the idea of actually telling them he loved them and talking about his worries was SO IMPOSSIBLE that he jumped to an even more impossible solution as something easier! And then its so depressing cos oh man these diaries are like a constant stream of jokes about how this man is destroying himself from overwork and like seriously it was so bad that they had to censor a few of them in the dub. For example one about how he hadnt changed out of his lab coat in over two weeks so his wife mistook his laundry for nuclear waste and tried to friggin dispose of his boxers with a long stick and a flamethrower! Which the dub somehow thought was too gross even tho half of all yokai are just gross jokes lol. BUT SERIOUSLY They try and write it all comical at first but all this comical stuff causes realistic consequences of a rift between him and his family AND ALSO his health failing with every damn page you turn like holy fuckin shit. You cant blame his wife for leaving him, she didnt know he really did love her and was just running away from talking about his problems. God she must have suffered so much trying to raise the kid alone and not knowing WHY he seemed to leave her entirely and hate her more and more each day. And its implied that maddiman's research started getting all fanatical and supernatural even before he became a monster, and he wasnt even seeing regular patients at the hospital and like.. Doing his job... Receiving money of any sort. So man at some point yeah the poor lady would have to make the right choice to leave for the sake of their kid. It sounds like she tried so damn hard to get him to open up and just goddamn come home!!!

AND THE WORST PART IS THAT IT WORKED

Yknow not just in the literal sense where his shambling undead self is STILL SICK FROM HOW HE DIED and LITERALLY WEARS HIS HEART ON HIS SLEEVE NOW

Oh god i just realized that maybe his inspiriting power is "heart swap" not because literally he's an evil scientist who wants to cut you up, but because HE WISHES HE COULD HAVE SHOWN HIS HEART TO HIS FAMILY WHEN HE HAD THE CHANCE!!!!!#!!!

and okay seriously THAT PART, THAT WORST OF WORST PARTS

Is that he did!!! He did try!! He did make the right choice!! He just kept running away for so long that when he decided to step up and be a good husband and father it was already too late. :(

He did decide to abandon his fanatical nonsense and just go home and show them he loves them. He closed up work early and bought a bunch of gifts for his family and came home hoping to surprise them and... Was surprised. At an empty house. And a note saying she'd already gone. On fuckin APRIL FOOLS DAY OF ALL DAMN DAYS so he SAT THERE SURROUNDED BY THE PRESENTS CRYING FOR HOURS HOPING IT WAS JUST A JOKE

And he just fell back even harder into his self harming conflict avoidance behaviours. He didnt try and call her and apologise, he didnt even go home ever again. He probably left the same bag of presents there on the table gathering dust even when he was dead. He just went back to work and kept working so hard that he didnt notice when he fell asleep and never woke up.

And thats why in the first game he seemed so much more evil but he was confirmed redeemable in future games and got all this heart destroying heartwarming bullshit beautiful goddamn writing AND ALSO THREE BABY TURTLES TO HUG. He just fuckin ran away from his problems so hard that he forgot he was ever human!! And he was stuck so much in this 'i must complete my ultimate science at any cost' mindset that he forgot why it was even important. And he was willing to make any damn sacrifices for something he didnt know was already useless cos HIS WIFE AND KID ARE PROBABLY DEAD NOW ANYWAY *sob*

Oh and then yokai watch 3 confirmed that yes at least his kid is indeed dead anyway. You can catch his yokai form too and HE BECAME A DOCTOR JUST LIKE HIS GODDAMN DAD!!!! They made up fpr not ever letting us have a playable maddiman by giving us a new yokai scienceman and HEY WHY NOT HAVE THE SADDEST POSSIBLE EXPLANATION FOR THAT!!!! And in the quest that finaly confirms their connection HA HA WHAT WOULD BE THE WORST POSSIBLE TEASE WE COULD GIVE THE PLAYERS? Hey looks like Cliff inherited his dad's neuroses so instead of going to meet him he runs away from his problems. And thats just the end. The closest they get to reuniting is dr son guy leaving his dad a can of his favourite soda before he runs away. This was in the last set of dlc for the game and will probably never get a better conclusion unless the two of them return in a future game but the original anime series has ended now and the next game looks like its gonna be this alternate universe thing instead. Sigh!

Oh god, I was tagged by @paternaltendencies and I also saw my good friend @kunfetti do this list and I’m not gonna lie, I’m afraid my list is so painfully childish that you could barely guess we are all the same age... thank you for putting up with my fangirl ass and constant shitposting! You guys are the best! Haha. Anyways, here we go! (Only the top 3 get a gif)

1. KLANCE

*Insert oprah gif here*. I mean, does anyone who knows me even doubt it? Lol. We’ve had our ups and downs with this ship, but still they are my favs. It’s because of them I even started writing and honestly? It kinda changed my life? So they are the eternal champions of my heart <3 (also KICK ‘cause I don’t know when to give up). I don’t even have to add this, but the content is neverending and tbh, this ship is so full of talented people it’s INSANE. The impact still shocks me. And since I don’t interact with the core fandom, for me it’s always been like taking a stroll lol.

2. SHATT

This is easily a tie in the first place, after all they are my preferred combo. Listen to me, kiddos. This ship? Is precious. Y’all sleeping on it. I’m glad Matt has had 2 glow ups ‘cause every time, we’ve seen new people join and that’s GOOD. The content is precious. All my mutuals came exclusively from THIS ship, they are the chillest group of people I’ve ever seen and the quality of the fics is INSANE. Give it a try, and since I’m trying to convert you check these authors: Kunfetti, paternaltendencies, Eilera, luddleston, Martieek and some works from BossToaster. Also shatt sunday? A reason to live through the week. This is a pairing with history, cute af, infinite potential (and the last 5 minutes of s7 can suck it lol).

3. LOTURA

Have you ever shipped something that comes true and then is shattered to pieces the very same episode? No? Well we lotura stans have, and we deserve some respect! I knew 2 things from the very moment this purple goblin appeared: 1. I was adopting him, 2. He would sweet talk my Allura sooner or later, because they are in the same level and totally can balance each other. Together? We all owe them money. Also, lost heirs with gorgeous hair finding their place in this universe? Guess it was too good to be true. I had hope for a better outcome tho. One that didn't include genocide, for example. Still, I have faith in s8 👀 (again, I'm don't know when to give up). All I ask is... no more awkward close ups on kisses, please vld crew. That shit scarred me, and I’m a stan.

4. KEITOR

“Tf you on, woman?” you ask in a terrified voice, pointing at me with your finger. I bring my pan and pot and smash them together to scream: THEY HAD A LOT IN COMMON. THEY DESERVED A MOMENT OR TWO. THEY ARE A TOTAL POWER COUPLE. But!!! Then they didn't cross a word and we had to retort to fics. Ty, vld. Still, good art and good fics and the fandom is quiet and the right amount of fucked up. Love them. Also a good part of my love for this ship I owe it to my good friend @conisaura who is an AU genius. Tenía que decirlo, bai.

5. ADASHI

I truly wish this one didn’t grow up so much on me, but hey! It could be worse!... wait, no, it couldn’t. It’s a great ship, I’m just weak to happy Shiro? Too bad the vld crew ain’t on that lol. Well, let’s be real, we know their relationship was hard and had already hit the bottom, but even if they weren’t meant to be a couple again, Adam’s treatment was awful. In the end, this ship stays in this place out of pure spite, ‘cause I’m THAT petty. And the art is truly gorgeous. You guys are gods, creating paradise out of nothing.

6. SHANCE

Tbh, this is the only sha**din pairing I can dig. And I dig it. Shiro deserves love, that's out of question. Lance does too. And I'm weak to pretty dorks, which... both of them are. I think it's a gorgeous pair, full of chemistry and badass, they totally would complement each other and I'm sure Shiro would let go of a lot of his issues with someone like Lance. Now that the paladins are older in canon, honestly my irks regardins this ship are all gone. Go for it guys!

7. CORALFOR/ALFORAN

Listen, old Coran loved that dork king and I totally ship them. Even he ships themselves (?).  And I love Coran a lot, so in the pathetic distribution of unnecessary couples last season, I wish they had the delicacy of giving some love to our fav Altean pan, at least. But nope. SO... COME TO ME, GORGEOUS MAN <3. (You wish I was kidding, right? I am not).

8. HEITH

I could probably fill this list with only all Hunky ships, he is just... Perfect. The perfect bf to anyone (where do I find a Hunk for me?). But to Keith? A match made on heaven, I mean, they are literally all the other needs in this life. After s7? Suspicions totally confirmed. I just... Love Hunk. And Keef. This is a good ship. Wish there was more content tho, especially sfw (the Hunk thirst is real here in tambler).

9. ALLURANCE

So low? You salty? Nope, I ain't. Not at this ship, at least. I love Allura dearly and I've always acknowledged Lance's crush on her (please, who wouldn't have a crush on her?). If I did this before last season tho, it would probably have been in adashi’s place, but right now I'm kinda... Eh. Unfair to judge based on canon, but I can't help it... Still, it stays in my list! If they give us good, wholesome allurance next season, I'm gonna be fine. That drawing bit at the end of s7, for example? That’s good. That’s what I want to see.

10. HUNELLE

Sorry Shay, honey, but you weren't there for too many seasons and s7 gave me sassy, tired power couple which is far more attractive to me than cinnamon roll couple :(. Still... I don't trust this Romelle lady, so I'm glad Hunky is smarter than me to choose partners lolol.

This one is my newest ship and is pure crack, but I just know it’s gonna climb like a friggin spider on this list, I can see it!!! Ryan Kinkade, the tough, silent mfe pilot, smiling because he can't resist Lance's charm?? Hello guys??? Pure af. I may or may not be writing something right now...

PS: I’m just aware of the lack of wlw in this list. I’m kinda baffled? But I’m pretty sure this is due to the fact I don’t ship Pidge with anyone AND the general lack of good interactions between the ladies in this show. I can’t even ship ezor and zethrid without remembering they KILLED THEM. TY VLD CREW??????

validation and affirmation

here comes another long read!!! need to trauma dump before head becomes too empty i went out for brunch to help my big out on his research project which was really interesting, it was about cultural food! talked about how there was a lack of filipino restaurants here in sac despite the big community. 

anyways, i came back home with the intention of picking up my book and going out to do homework but i felt so much comfort laying down with cream puff on the couch. instead of human touch, i have my dog and honestly.... it’s just. i think its really nice. 

i got to talk to lisa a lil after, she was saying things like “am i bad person for being angry” and honestly im so angry for her situation because she didnt do anything wrong. she’s not a bad person for getting mad at people that did her wrong !!! so i was just telling her that her feelings are completely valid and HONESTLY she’s so friggin sweet and i love her and she would never wish anyone anything bad. i told her about how i kept seeing so many guys that looked like my ex on sunday and that it kinda ruined my mood because i thought it was a bad sign. i really liked the way she phrased it, “i think it’s the universe saying you should be able to reminisce about the old times because you’re ready for this new chapter and this is why its happening! because you’re now moving on!” and i really think she’s right

mocha sent me messages an hour or so saying that this was weighing on her mind for the whole week, she was mad that I have always been belittling myself, and that she really wanted me to look at myself the way they viewed me. her and brian were telling me how much they loved and cared for me, and i just continued to sob like crazy. when i had opened ryan’s package, i was saying things like “i dont think i deserve something this huge” and “i dont think im worthy to be in his space” and yknow stuff like that! and it definitely made mocha sad. and i get it !!! but its just so hard to see myself in a good light because theres just so much wrong with me. mocha was telling me allllll the parts she loved about me, and i cried even more because its the parts i dislike about myself :”( it’s just really hard to accept myself because i wake up and look in the mirror to see parts i just cant like. my eczema? its so bad. my neck is dark and the area behind my kneecaps are covered in wounds. how do you love your skin when its dry, discolored and has so many open and closed grey, pink and black wounds? how do you learn to love that? how do you feel confident when you see people giving you stares? how do you find confident? and so i continued to sob on my bed.

but mocha continues to shower me with words filled with love and i could hear brian saying he loves me too in the background. and i cant help but laugh and cry because i know how much they mean so much to me. i love and appreciate them, so i will give me a chance to love myself. i think its truly difficult right now, i think one small affirmation will do.

i went to get cookies with my sibs + big for a change and it was really nice! i poured out my fucking heart tho lmao ; v ; trauma dumped about my dad who was absent majority of my life, my mom who has continued to make me feel small even at my big ol age, and how i want to let others that i may possibly want to date in the future about what theyre getting into: like i want to let them know how bad my eczema is and how is intergrated into my life. and if thats something they can accept, then oh wow nice! but if you don’t want to see my countless scars and endless discolored patches on my body, i think it’s best that we don’t talk further because it would waste both our time. im just scared that when i see this person, i am different from their version and i would be setting them up for disappoint. i think thats what im scared of the most.

omfg i said inbetween that i was a solid 3/10. like legit i dont think im that good looking mainly because of my eczema. i cant wear shorts because it exposes the area behind my legs and i cant really wear crop tops and tank tops because my neck and armpit is gross, my belly has alot of scars and my birthmark is bleh. so .. just iono. i find alot of comfort with long skirts and long sleeves. and then my sibs and big yell at me because they think im a whole ass 10. dfgnbksdfg bro  ..... no im a 3 !!! but they were saying like nah we think you’re cute af and you’re fashionable and dfgbdfb ugh iono i just ... im a 3!!!!!! but they’re all so cute and funny debating against me :”)

one other thing i brought up was about my dad: how do i learn to love him when he has always been absent? how could he tell me he holds so much love for me yet not be there to protect me when my mom has repeatedly emotionally and verbally abuse me? how do i recover, how do i forgive, and how can i become a good daughter to him when i feel so betrayed? how do i love and forgive my mom when she constantly makes me feel so small? how do i love her when the space i enter is supposed to be safe when i feel like i always revert back to a hopeless 8 year old? how do i grow up to become an amazing adult when my environment makes me into the same 8 year old helpless child? damn i need to find a therapist quick.

my big asked me, “whats one thing you like about yourself” and i hate that question the most. because really i dont think its anything. we talked about both of us being an open book but its more like we’re only able to talk about everything and anything if its prompted. anyways, if i was younger than him, i would have definitely appreciated (i still do now even if i am older) his guidance. because i would have needed that.

#PokemonHome #PokemonHomeTrade #Mewtwo & #Copperajah It's been taking me a while to figure out n comprehend Pokémon Home, n I even watched videos about it, but I was still lost & confused. 😕

I tried to figure out GTS, then when I watched videos about, I thought it was supposed to be easy, but now that I understand it better after several tries n trials I can see they're not very good at producing videos.... 😬

Anyways, I made my 1st real go at it back when Dialga was STILL in Pokémon Go Raids, so it wasn't exactly in demand as much as I thought... I also didn't totally understand the popularity lists... 🙃 this is sort of how u can gage what's popular 🤔 in different ways. I've pondered it often...

But last week, I presumed way to many things, n failed miserably... even tho Dialga was technically a highly traded Pokémon it wasn't in demand... but, now it's actually more in demand this week. So, since it's OUT OF RAIDS u have more leverage. ( Here I am sounding like a financial analyst... oy)

Also, the first few tries I put up my Dialgas for: Zamazenta & Zacian... then, in the morning, just as the boycott was about to commence, Niantic was like: THOSE ARE THE NEW LEGENDARIES!!! 😖🤦‍♀️

So, THAT WAS A FAIL, n I canceled those...

Then, I tried putting Dialga up, yet again, in GTS, N I asked for: Copperajah, Glastrier, Spectrier

A day later n NOTHING. So, I cancel them, n took back my Dialgas... so, I felt confused 😕 n just did in person Raids in PoGo all weekend, or submitted PokeStops submissions. Then I transferred over another batch of Pokémon from PoGo to Pokémon Home n more Legendaries. I need space for Community Day.

So, I returned to Pokémon Home today, because I'm frustrated with Palkia raids, n no Shiny yet.

I SO WISH I UNDERSTOOD JUST HOW VALUABLE Mewtwo actually is! Because they cost extra to transfer over from Pokémon Go, so I usually only sent 1 over in a batch. Sending over a batch of Pokémon is complex, n u ONLY GET 1 CHANCE, then u need to wait. If u only send 1 little Pokémon u might need to wait long hours, but usually it's 1-3 days. But when u send Legendaries n Shinies it costs more out of the bar thing. N u can't try again even if u didn't use up the whole bar. So, when I send over Legendaries & Shinies I can't send as much Pokémons n Mewtwo is probably THE MOST EXPENSIVE! So I usually only send 1 in a batch if I can fit him in. N I have LOTS OF MEWTWO!

Well, whenever I put Mewtwo in a GTS BOX it was practically INSTANT TRADE! I was like HOT DAMN! 🔥 I was expecting that it would take forever so I wanted to figure out what was put up in other listing n what they wanted. Weirdly enough, they wanted Dialga, n I was like: WOW! I asked for that last week, n no one wanted my Dialga, but now they're begging for em! That happened so quickly!

So, then, I was like: well, now I have a Copperajah so I don't need it now, but as soon as I went to cancel the trade, someone actually 😅 did the trade!

So, I got 2 Copperajah now!

I really like the design!

Then, I started to comprehend the system a bit better, n how their search features worked, because I didn't get it at all for weeks!

So, I started to look up what people were requesting based on what they had to trade. I started to notice what was ACTUALLY HOT COMODITIES 🔥 N then I started to fully be able to comprehensively read those popularity lists n stats... hmmm... oh, I see!

That's when it hit me! Oh the regret!

I had NO IDEA just how valuable Mewtwo ACTUALLY WAS!!! I could've gotten a Shiny Rayquaza if I hadn't traded this Mewtwo! WTF!

Now, I’m not gonna comment on every couple. I’ma leave some wiggle room for Q. 

Bayley and Rickey? Adorable. They’re so friggin’ sweet, man. The fact that he’s been there to allow Bayley to say FUCK, as she should, and to bust light tubes over someone’s head, as she should, make my old man heart grow three sizes. It’s warm. It’s comforting. It’s like when you dated that one person you met at a punk rock show and they have one of those hoodies with the thumb sleeves that they cut themselves and it smells like them and low-key a little like a concert, which isn’t the best, but it’s comforting. It’s familiar. It’s good.

Chelsea and Kross? I feel like she brings out his younger side. His more playful side. I know, it’s probably mad judgmental to assume he’s just a hardass 99% of the time, but most of the dudes I know like him Are, and it’s not like he wasn’t when I was still Haitch’s assistant. But that’s always good. Bringing someone back to the better, calmer, happier times. Jokes and fun. They’re like a comedy club or somethin’-- laughs and fun and when you get to the back, you’ve got the support you need.

Shida and Zane? That’s the kinda love you just gotta admire. I don’t know if it’s a word they’ve dropped yet or anything, but it’s the things you read about, yanno? It’s pure, it’s gentle, it’s supportive. It makes no sense but all the sense in the world. They’re like a movie or something. I’ve seen the plot 100 times, but it never really gets old. They seem like a perfect fit. Like they were both just waiting for the moment that allowed them to cross paths and I’m really happy that they finally did.

EC3 and Allysin? They’re that genuine friends-to-lovers shit. The girl that would yeet her pal across the world for doing some stupid shit. The dude that would punch someone’s face in for the other. It’s always natural when it comes to be. I remember brief rumblings of their relationship when I was around everybody and sure, the start was the start, but it feels like it was meant to be. They just had to be emotionally ready for it. I dunno. They’re like good beer. None of that weird flavored shit. Nothin’ too hipster. A nice Bud Light, perhaps. 

Eva and Tyr, they’re just that mushy shit. That stuff that’s almost sickeningly sweet and too much sometimes, but at the same time, it’s one of those things you wish you had to tell the grandkids about. That “Notebook” type of shit. That “if you’re a bird, I’m a bird” ordeal. They seem to fill in each other’s holes, in... non-sexual ways. But sexual ways. I’ve heard stories. I’ve seen things. I don’t voyeur, but I see things. They love each other, man. That’s the big thing, and that love is strong. That love is reliable. That love is something that everyone wants, I think. Just the complete, forgiving acceptance and comfort. It’s good shit.

Then we’ve got some kinda somethin’-somethin’s. 

KStat and MJeff were a thing back when I was around. And it seems like they’re back to a thing. And I’ll be honest-- I kinda like those progressions. The moment of realization of, “Wow, holy shit, I fucked up one of the best things I had going in my life.” And that seems like what it is this go around. It’s good to see that second chances still exist. That you’re not expected to be perfect and you can make the world’s stupidest mistakes and still find yourself back with the person that makes you the happiest, and it seems that way. I might be totally off base, but it’s got the vibe. I don’t know what to compare them to, but it’s good.

Dakota and Roman, ok listen. LISTEN. L I S T E N. We love a relationship built on banter. If you can’t roast the one you love, do you really love them? They seem to keep each other very grounded. Dakota’s unwavering support during Roman’s diagnosis? How much he was there for her when her knee injury happened? How involved she is with Roman’s kids? You can tell that they’ve got a great vibe of support and equity in that relationship. No one is left wanting. Sometimes you may have to carry the other person, but it’s not a burden, because that love is just so evident. Plus, hello, Big Dawgs. Meant to be, fam, ordained by the stars. 

Elizabeth and Derrick, I mean cmon man have you seen her?? Derrick is a lucky dude. But this seems like one of those “get you a man who makes you laugh” things and honestly, he’s got a great sense of humor, and is wildly self deprecating, which means he doesn’t take himself seriously sometimes, which is good. He knows how to keep things light when they need to be, which definitely can help with some heavy stuff. Liz seems a bit quieter, which is a nice counterpoint to Derrick’s loud ass, but from what I have seen of her, she seems like a goddamn angel. Definitely another instance of friends to lovers and listen, it’s a trope for a reason. It’s beautiful, and her being the sweet Southern girl and him being the loudmouthed New Yorker shouldn’t work, but it does, and I think that’s the appeal. Balance, baybeeeee.

Harlow and Tracy are ADORABLE. To be fair, I don’t see them too often but whenever I do, you can tell that Tracy basically just like... worships the ground Harlow steps on, and truly, who can blame him, she is a KWEEN. A GODDESS. YES MUVA. They seem the sort of couple who have long running inside jokes, always know how to keep things interesting and exciting, and even though they may not loudly advertise their relationship - hey some people are more private and they have every right to be - you just know that it’s a truly love built on understanding and care. You love to see it.

Scarlett & Joey, gosh, ok. Opposites attract sort of thing, but I love that a lot of the time??? From what I know of Joey, that boy has some hidden depths to him. He may act the jackass himbo on the outside, live the gimmick brother, but you know he’s seen and been through some shit. He’s not as self destructive as he was before, and I do genuinely think a lot of that was with Scarlett’s help. She didn’t change him; she helped him want to change himself for the better, and you love to see a healthy relationship like that. While first impressions of Scarlett for those who don’t know her may see her as possibly aloof or cold, homegirl’s been through the fire herself a few times, so I don’t blame her for wanting to keep some shit close to the chest. It feels like Joey’s allowed her to open herself up more, and it’s just a beautiful thing to see. 

Under the ‘something something’ category as Rhett called it, ok, like... Ellie and Xander. That one is so fascinating to me, because I’m really still tryna get their vibe, I wanna understand them. Not that they’re not understandable, I just mean that I’m still tryna get a good comparison vibe, see what energy we workin’ with here. They super cute tho. Very smitten with each other, they’re both hot af, and the absolute balls on Xander to be in any semblance of an entanglement with the kid sister of Mox, WHEW. I hope it works out for them, because they both seem like very lovely and funny people who really could bring out the best in each other. I’ll be keeping a very close eye on them. Because, like, that’s my job, but also I’m #Intrigued.

oh! pregnancy!

My friends, my peers, on my way to my 36th week of pregnancy, im getting more anxious, excited, and felt all that jazz all over my body. instead of bringing negativity somewhere else, let me just write all my rants, experience, and even tips and recommendations here!

PART 1: HOW COULD I GET PREGNANT?

As an Indonesian-newly wed, the question will be “udah isi belum” for months and months ahead. Be ready, be not too salty because it’s tradition (i guess), a tradition that I. and most of our generation starting to get rid of. My response was easy, all smiley and still trying to be polite, but at times I got sad too. After three months of my wedding, I started to cry everytime my period comes :/ dont get me wrong. i want to get preggo not just because the pressure but my husband and I wanted kids too. I browsed through internet and do some tips, like both of us start consuming vitamin E (I use natur e & ever e), a more healthy lifestyle (we really tried our best to dodge junkfood), and the most important is to do the pembuahan when I am in my fertile time. To know my fertile time is not easy either, I take fertility test (it’s shaped like testpack) every morning and nigh, three days after my menstruation is done. It’s very hard to be consistent but I do this anyways. Sometimes I slack off too, but I think this is the best way to know your fertile time if your cycle every month is always changing like me. And Alhamdulillah, I have my baby on me!! It was magical, surreal, and unbelievable..

PART 2: IM PREGNANT, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

When I first found out I was pregnant, I kept it to myself, i still not believe what i saw until i test with another testpack. It’s clear, it’s two bold lines. And I prepared myself to talk to my husband, of course with a lil surprise and not to forget to record his reaction ~ (IT’S PRICELESS... TRUST ME YOU SHOULD DO THIS TOO). And after all the happy tears we should make sure everything is in there, on my belly, alive, breathing, and healthy. We decided to go to RS Hermina Galaxy, to dr. Wulandari (by my in law’s recommendation) and everything went well. I found out I was in my 6th week and there’s this little precious human on my womb. 

PART 3: SHOULD I STAY ON MY FIRST HOSPITAL?

After my second visit to RS Hermina, I decided to stop and move to Halobayi Bekasi (Nadya Medical Centre) with dr. Riene. Halobayi provides 4D USG in such reasonable price, at first me and my husband didnt really expect anything because 250.000? for a 4D USG? dudee? but we were wrong. the doctor is super duper nice to us, new parents, she explained everything soooo well and detailed, and didnt seem to rush us, she also answers all of the questions we have. So up until now, I stick with Halobayi and dr. Riene for my my 4D USG every month. There is plenty of doctor choice too, and besides Halobayi, there’s halobumil, intipbuahhati, that provides super worth 4D USG if you didnt want to go to RSIA. Just dive into their social media and see the reviews!

PART 4: TF IS SKINCARE??? IM TOO FRIGGIN LAZY!

Trust me, Ive been there... for the first three months i stopped ALL of my skincare (and really i just washed my face and sometimes apply sunblock if i must go outside). But after that three months i felt my skin is very dull looking... theres dry patches everywhere... i look kuyu and not fresh... sis this is not what we want right?!! we should be a sharp lookin preggo women... then i did my research and tried zhofira.. it’s a skincare brand by selebgram i guess, i havent heard any bit of the owner nor the products. but the review?? is very intriguing so i tried their toner and serum, it’s surprisingly good! i felt my skin lighter, and very well hydrated. it’s more than enough for me. for good two months i used them up alongside with Sensatia Botanicals Unscented Soapless Face Cleanser omg did i spell it right... and I love the result. 

but the serum’s bottle and its consistency annoy me v much so i started to research another serum... Then it comes to my new routine for the past two months I think??? and I changed my facial wash to Jarte Beauty & Sukin Original face wash. I like them both but i think Sensatia face cleanser is still my number one!!!! anyways this routine do pretty good job to my face, it’s nice, plumpy, hydrated and brighten my face a little (it’s the somethinc i believe!) and I am comfortable with them maybe for a long time i wish!

PART 5: HELLOO STRETCH MARKS!

I thought.... just my thought only... I wouldnt get stretch marks because I started using bio oil in my 4th months. BUT I WAS WRONG -- they really comes suddenly at my 7th months, and now it becomes super bold lines around my belly, under my belly, on my thighs, buttsss.. I was so shocked but I think it’s because i’m petite and my skin is not prepared to get ~this~ stretchy... First i used bio oil, but lately... because it gets very, very itchy i tried using herborist zaitun oil and it works well too. I didnt hesitate to use it much because it’s cheaper than bio oil lmao.. the most important is my skin isnt dry so if they becomes bigger the marks would minimalized (i wish :p) but dont worry... it’s normal!!! i get insecure sometimes but my husband is supportive enough to convince me that i look beautiful, that he will love me for everything that i am. ahaha.

PART 6: TO STAY FIT

Stay fit and active is a must.. from 20 weeks i went to yoga class in Nadya Medical Centre once a week until now, i think i slack off for like 3-4 times but I tried do do yoga at home too. Bidan Kita and Kriwilife is my go to channel. But i think it’s veerry important to follow a yoga class with bidan first, so that you could feel confident doing any movements you see on youtube. Besides yoga, walking is another recommendations from so many people. but for this one I still got so lazy at morning (if you’re 30weeks above your sleep cycle wouldnt be the same). But i tried to make it up with walking inside the house or on the treadmill aha.

PART 7: MY UNDERWEAR... IT’S SO SMALL!

my dear, i got you. as someone who’s in her life being small at any aspect of the body, I really am shocked by the size i have become right now lol... I tried couple of underwear (panties and bras) to see what i really like. turns out i really like these brands! for panties i use CD Maternity Mamabel (aquoshop on shopee), and Sorex 1128 Maternity Panty (i buy it offline but there’s a lot on shopee too). these two are comfortable and didnt push your womb, the karet is superrr big and with the mamabel ones you could adjust them. For the bras, I really love Sorex 8200. IT’S WHAT I NEED... it’s comfortable, holding your boobies well. the karet is not annoying (you can just add the bra extender if you felt like it’s not enough) and it’s super soooftt. I bought them at cherrybabykidsshop on shopee. I have four of them lmao im obsessed. AND.. if you like to do yoga or you’re comfortable with leggings, maternity legging by sorex is also super recommended. they’re super stretchy and suit for any activities. By this time i sound like sorex’s marketing huh. but they really made such nice quality products.....

looking back, did you end up writing more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected? Both...? I had hoped I would write more, but looking back, I’m still pleasantly surprised at the amount I actually did manage to accomplish!

what’s your own favorite story of the year? Mrrrrrrrrr it’s hard to say considering how much I bled for all of them lolol (sometimes soliciting the muse requires dat blood sacrifice tho). I think my WIPs probably top the list, all for different reasons--No Place Like Hohm because I’ve been working on it for literal yeeeears and I think it’s a pretty darn good canon-compliant and tv-safe version of how Rose and the Doctor could have patched things up after GitF, Minuet because it is almost exactly the opposite of that (lol and also it was so unexpected?? and full of that sexy sexy UST-ridden angst), and if we let go because it’s a much different take on Rose/Tentoo than I typically write, and it’s been a good way to address some of my own issues with certain aspects of Journey’s End, as much as I like the episode and story overall. But A Rose by Any Other Martha deserves an honorable mention because it was so much frigging fun to write! (thanks for the prompt, mystery-nonny!)

did you take any writing risks this year? I was a little afraid folks would read the first couple sentences of Any Other Martha and immediately nope on outta there, or maybe even make it halfway through before quitting, because of the awkwardness and pettiness. But I tried to stay true to the characters, including their flaws, and think (hope) that ultimately it paid off! 

do you have any fanfic or profit goals for the new year? FINISH SOME FRIGGING WIPS there are what 4 or 5 partially published and more than a dozen waiting (im)patiently on my computer jfc there are so many how did i get here how did i get myself stuck in this goddessforsaken wip-filled swamppppp

story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Difficult to say. I know my tastes tend to run a little different from a lot of other folks’, especially when it comes to romance. I will say I hope if we let go gains a little more traction, but then again, that probably means I should start updating it...

most fun story to write: A Rose by Any Other Martha and Enough. I enjoyed exploring Rose and Tentoo’s sexual tension in Enough, building up that anticipation and release, and I fucking loooooved writing the petty bickering snipy-ness of Any Other Martha, holy crap did I ever love writing that. There was just something deliciously awful about bringing out the worst in two of my favorite-ever fictional characters, exploring their petty jealousies and insecurities and little bitchy snipes, and then something incredibly soothing and satisfying in writing the resolution, the two of them working together to overcome all that bullshit to become great friends. Like a platonic enemies-to-lovers!

story with the single sexiest moment: Probably the moment the Doctor’s mood shifts in give and take. <3 <3 <3

most sweet story: Speechless or Sudden Impulse, because I’m a sucker for stories that start out angsty and end with a sweet kiss. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

”holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you!” story: Lol if the reactions are anything to go by then I’d say by any other name probably comes the closest. (Is she Rose? Is she someone or something else? Who knows! 0:)

story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters & most unintentionally telling story: if we let go. It hasn’t changed the way I feel about the characters--I love Rose, Ten, Tentoo, and Donna as much as I ever have--but it has forced me to examine stuff under multiple lenses, really look at things from different angles.

hardest story to write: Lbr I struggle with writing just about anything, especially multichapters, but the follow-up for One Percent presented some unique challenges, in that I knew what I wanted the story to say, but I didn’t want to just come right the fuck out and say it, and I had to allow myself to trust the audience to pick up on it, not to spoon-feed people or insult their intelligence. And what do you know, people did pick up on things, because y’all are some amazing and insightful readers and I heart every single one of you!!! <3 <3 <3

biggest disappointment: That I didn’t get the next chapter of Defenders of the Altverse finished and published. @gingergallifreyan I SWEAR ONE DAY one dayyyyyyyyyyyy ONE FRIGGIN DAYYYYYY

biggest surprise: That people have seemed to enjoy/appreciate No Place Like Hohm and A Rose by Any Other Martha as much as they do. The one is a WIP that explores a topic that’s already been explored in 8000 other fics and takes foreverrrrrr between updates, the other is a story about two women catfighting before surrendering to the inexorable pull of platonic friendship, and neither of them feature any smut or even any established/concrete romance. As much as I enjoy writing and reading smut, it’s really nice when stories free of smut or established/explicitly romantic relationships receive positive attention!
