The Little Things (Felix Ver.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The small things he does every day that make you feel oh, so special.
Bangchan | Minho | Changbin | Hyunjin Jisung | Felix | Seungmin | Jeongin
Tumblr media
Massages
We all know that Felix gives absolutely killer massages. And he wouldn't hesitate to give you one on the dot if you asked him to. If I'm being completely honest, I think that Felix would give you one if he felt you needed it, too.
If you come home from a long day of work, or if you're stressed or tired, Felix will sit you down and just give you a massage to help you relax all of your tense muscles from the day. Of course, he'd slip in a kiss or two on your back, too. Every here and there, he'd check in to make sure you're doing okay, smile, and then gently kiss your shoulder or back before continuing.
Felix would also ask you about your day while he worked at your knotted muscles. Ask you what had happened to make you tense. He'd listen to every single word, giving his feedback and thoughts. He just wants you to not have any weight on you. Whether it was physical or mental. He's always gonna make sure you're okay.
HUGS!!
We all know that Felix is a huggable person. That, and he's a hugger. This man hugs his other members any chance he gets. You are no acception. Any chance he gets, he hugs you. Hell, he even warned you that he was a hugger when you both first started going out, so you knew what you were signing up for.
This man will literally use any excuse to hug you, too. You make him laugh? He's hugging you. You're being cute? He's hugging you. You made a delicious meal? He's hugging you. You're upset about something? He's hugging you. He's upset about something? Take a wild guess as to what I'm gonna say.
Felix is 100% hugging you if you're upset, though. It doesn't matter how serious or unserious it is. The same goes if he's feeling down. And he's not letting go until he's feeling better, or you're feeling better. Once you're okay, he'll loosen his grip, but he still won't let go. Rather, he'll talk things out with you and make sure you're not sad anymore. And then he'll let go, only to start cuddling you on the couch.
Language Switching
Felix is multilingual. That's a given. But if his lover was also bilingual or multilingual, I think that language switching would definitely be a thing. Mainly, you both would be switching between Korean and English. One little bit of the conversation would be in Korean, then the next moment, you're speaking in English.
I definitely think that there would be times where you both would be in public and wouldn't want anyone to really understand what you guys were talking about, and so you'd switch languages depending on where you were. Just so then you could both stay where you were, but not have to worry about anyone eavesdropping.
It's also a great way for you both to stay sharp in the languages you both know. You don't really have to worry about losing any accents you might have, but it also helps you both remember things in each language or remind the other what something means. And if you both can't remember the word for something, then you both have fun trying to remember together.
Bakes with You
Y'all, I can't express the amount that I want to bake with Felix. And it's exactly why I think that Felix would want to bake with you. He'd show you how to make his brownies and cookies, and you'd both have a lot of fun doing it, too. Because let's be real here, neither of you would take it seriously in the slightest. You'd try, but you know that it won't last for long.
Flour will be blown towards each other, batter will be booped on noses, messes will be made. You'd both laugh hysterically with each other, though. It'd be a good time. Hell, you'd both have fun cleaning up the mess you made, too.
I also believe that you and Felix would take a ton of pictures while baking with each other. Some of these pictures would be posted on bubble, but only the ones that were of Felix. If he wanted to post one of you in the picture as well, he'd ask permission first. Because you being comfortable is always number one to him.
Lets You Style His Hair
Since Felix is currently growing his hair out, I feel like it gets annoying sometimes. And so, he goes to you to help him put it up. You know what you're doing, anyway. And having his hair done is relaxing to him, especially when you spend the first few minutes just running your hands through it and gently massaging his scalp.
I think Felix would sometimes ask you to teach him how to do certain things with his long hair, too. Like how to do different braids. He might struggle with tired arms halfway through, though. And so he'll end up just having you take over. He'll still pay attention to what you're doing. He's just not used to holding his arms up at that certain angle for how long.
Even if he did eventually learn and was capable of doing it himself, he'd still prefer for you to do it. There's just something in the way you do his hair in such a caring way. It's so sweet and gentle, and it's also such a nice bonding time, too. Felix can just rant about whatever's on his mind and you'll happily listen. It's definitely one of his favorite things to do with you.

Do you have a favorite thing about the way the boys speak as individuals (can be about their general type of speech, words/phrases they use, etc.)? Can be jimin and jungkook or any of bts!
For example, I don't speak korean, but jimin's speech always sounds so soft and comforting. Even when he's not trying to be cute, he still sounds so sweet. Armys joke about kindergarten teacher jimin, but I really do feel like even his voice and speech give that gentle vibe.
This is the cutest thing you could've asked me! Let's go in order:
Namjoon: I love the way he mixes Korean and English so seamlessly. I think he has two modes, Serious-Leader-Speech, very eloquent and straight to the point, carefully chosen words; and Regular Kim Namjoon, still all of those things but super cute, he rambles a lot and mixes languages and tends to use a lot of slang? He def lurks online. But guys, he's also so poetic. He sounds like he's reading a beautiful novel. He always sounds super polite too (when he's calm I guess!! he can get super hyped up lol) but he doesn't slur his words, it's so easy to understand him even though sometimes his vocab is really precise and advanced. OMG AND he doesn't have an accent!! BUT he imitates the members satoori and it's super goofy bc he's not great at it, so it's like his own made-up satoori.
Seokjin: Jin is an amazing speaker. I think the actor training has a lot to do with this, but he has such a good voice for narration and when he speaks in korean interviews he sounds super gentle and eloquent. IDK how to describe it, but he has a v specific tone and pauses in a very unique way, making his tone very melodic and almost like a news anchor hahaha. But when he's talking to the guys he loses that formality and he stresses random words that give him a kind of goofy tone? And he uses a lot of expressions like “야” (yah) or “으아” (euah) as sentence fillers. Again, like Joon, no satoori!
Yoongi: oh he's by far the member I have the most trouble understanding. He slurs his words a lot, starting off somewhat strong but almost losing the entire ending of the sentence. I'm sure you know what I mean even if you don't understand him. A friend once mentioned to me that his pronounciation of the letter ㅆ is not as strong as it should be, tending to sound more like a regular 's' sound like in the letter ㅅ. This is apparently due to his accent! Also, like Joon, to me he tends to sound really poetic, maybe more unconciously than Joon bc I feel like he's really deliberate with his words and Yoongi is more spontaneous. As a sentence filler, he clicks his tongue a lot and sucks in air (something I think JK has also taken from him)
Hoseok: Hobi always brings a smile to my face. I think his accent is the most notable (or maybe I just catch it better than the other's, especially since it's different from the rest of the members' given he's from Jeolla.) His entonation varies a lot, it's very melodic but in an energetic way because of this accent. He also ends sentences with 잉, ing, a lot, which leads to those "said cutely" translations. HE LOOVES onomatopoeias and adding random noises when he's doing things or describing smth. He's just a really fun guy to listen to. I noticed he uses 되게 (dwege) as a filler.
Jimin: you were right, anon. Jimin is incredibly soft-spoken and extremely careful about his words, that's why he tends to mutter or start sentences over and over again to convey the feelings he tries to express. This leads into very long sentences, with a lot of what I call 'pleasing' expressions. This is, Korean (like other Asian languages such as Japanese) is a very indirect language. When you want to express your disagreement with something, you don't straight out say 'I don't like this' or if you're telling someone to do smth differently, you don't say 'be careful next time, don't do that'. You say things like 'in the future, i believe that if you are able to do so it might be benefitial if this issue were handled in a different way' (this is a random example). Your sentences get endless bc you add words and politeness that softens the blow of your different opinion. Jimin does that more than other members who tend to be more blunt, like YG, TH or JK. I think this has changed over the years with the growing international fandom, but he used to sound really informal in his vlives to sound like an old friend with armys. now I think he expresses his outmost respect for us by speaking really formally and in ways that are easy to automatically translate. I also read he has some "feminine" speech patterns, since Kr is a very gendered language in the sense that girls and boys have diff sentence endings or words they use. I think this kinda contributes to how softspoken he is.
Taehyung: Tae's speech is all over the place, but he's extremely sensible and I think he offers the most unique metaphors when he's being sentimental. He's very heartwarming, but sometimes it's hard to understand him because he changes the subject, grammatical order or point of his sentences a lot to adjust to the speed in which things are coming out of his mind. This has gotten better over the years, though. I think age has offered him a sense of calm that allows words to flow better than in the early years of bangtan, where he was an excited puppy. He pauses a lot between sentences, saying "ohh" quite often, and he has a bunch of characteristic filler words like 약간 (yakhan, a bit) or 이제 (ije, now). If you watch the run bts ep where they forbid words for each member, I think ije was one of those for Tae.
Jungkook: guys he's so cute. I'm so grateful that he started doing lives more often, bc I always got the impression he struggled to put his thoughts into words more than other members and that's why he shied away from giving speeches. He still has a lot in his mind, but when he's not in a rush, he pauses a lot and stumbles over his words without shame until he gets the thought out. He speaks really really fast when animated, mumbling and slurring his syllables (that's why it's so hard for me to translate the travel show without proper subs.) We all know he has a lisp, I believe it might be a characteristic of his Busan accent, which is quite present on the regular (in contrast with Jimin, who sometimes forces it out, often around JK. He even joked that he was losing it a little). When he's directing his words to army, he tends to be really soft-spoken and formal, speaking in a way that you know comes from a place in his heart. He also uses a lot of onomatopoeias when describing things, and he adds cute endings to his words just like Hobi (my aegyo kings.)

skz with a 9th member who grew up in england so sometimes they use slang they dont understand or sometimes their british accent gets really strong when theyre tired or drunk and the boys think its funny.
it's a brit thing
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
stray kids x ninth member!reader (platonic)
genre: fluff
content warnings: swearing, alcohol mentions
word count: 1.2k
summary: the boys find it hard to understand their british member a lot of the time...
Hi! Sorry for such a late response to your ask! Loved writing this one! Love to my fellow British Stays. Also I love a Yorkshire accent, just putting that out there haha...
As always, like, reblog if you enjoyed, and my asks are open for any requests you may have. And let me know if you'd like to be tagged when I post :)
MAIN MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
aka five times the real brit in y/n appeared
1) tired
You were tired, so tired. After a long flight back from LA to Seoul, all you wanted to do was get back to the dorms and go to sleep. Just simply get out of the airport, get into the cars, and listen to some music before ultimately entering a calm, unconscious state.
Yet with the experience of the paparazzi and screaming fans awaiting you, your plans were ruined. They swarmed you, and even as you formed your usual chain amongst the rest of the members and your security it didn't stop the flash of the cameras blaring in your face and fans getting too handsy.
Other times it would overwhelm you but this time it was just annoying. You would say you were just agitated, but the boys thought you were grumpy.
"Oh no, she's grumpy," Seungmin teased from beside you as you squeezed into the back between him and Changbin.
"Fucking twats the lot of them," you grunted in English, digging through your backpack for your airpods as your northern British accent came out.
"That wasn't Korean but I'm not entirely sure that was English either..." Changbin said with wide eyes, only vaguely recognising the swear word and nothing else.
"Chan can you translate?" Jeongin asked curiously, watching as you entered a calmer state when you started playing music.
"Basically she's annoyed at the paps and fans," Chan laughed after translating what you said.
"T-twateu?" Jeongin tested out, and your music just happened to go silent before changing to the next song, meaning you heard what he said.
"You what?!?"
2) vlive
It was time for your bimonthly vlive, which Stays managed to guess when you'd go live, getting used to your system of interacting with them.
"There aren't really a lot of British idols out there, are there?" you chatted with the fans, face near the screen as your eyes squinted to read the comments, forgetting to wear your glasses.
"Haha! Yes Han is our honorary British member," you laughed as you read the comments, hand going over your mouth.
"Wait doesn't Jennie from Blackpink speak with a British accent?" you double checked you theory with the fans, letting out a successful cheer when they confirmed your thoughts.
"Yes!!! Up the Brits! There are too many Aussies I swear..."
"Teach us some British phrases? Okay hmmm, what can I teach my Stays?" you wondered, tapping your chin comically.
"You can say 'I'm gutted', which means you're really upset about something, like you're so sad you feel it in your gut. Or, 'I'm knackered', which means you're tired. Or you're 'pissed off', which means you're angry," you explained to the Stays, frowning when they started saying you sweared on vlive, the staff now staring at you awkwardly.
"Ani, ani, no, no," you pointed to the camera, fake scolding the fans, "I don't think it's swearing, right?"
3) drunk
You and the boys had been out drinking, celebrating the promotions for Case 143. And let's just say, you had a few too many, at least you weren't the only one.
"I'm fucking hammered mate," you slurred, stumbling into Minho who wrinkled his nose at your alcohol breath as all 8 of you walked home from the bar.
"Hammered?" Han asked curiously, his doe eyes somehow more apparent in his intoxicated state.
"Like tkk tkk?" Hyunjin tested, pretending to hammer a nail as he recognised the tool name.
"I'm trollied, I'm so out of it, mate," you giggled, facepalming yourself, well, you thought you did and then realised you accidentally smacked Felix in the face, collapsing on the ground in a fit of giggles.
"Y/Nnie, get uppppp," Felix groaned, rubbing his face drunkenly as he tried to pull you up.
"She's speaking nonsense," Jeongin said with wide eyes.
"Not until you can understand me," you poked Felix in the chest with each word.
"Yah, you're so touchy tonight, Y/N," Changbin laughed at your slow yet somehow affectionate movements as he and Chan lifted you up, you clinging onto their arms for balance.
"That makes me sound so noncey," it was your turn to wrinkle your nose.
"No one can understand you right now, and we are fluent in English," Chan laughed as he supported most of your weight and gestured to Felix next to him.
"I'm too wankered," you groan, now feeling the headache set in and just wanting to be in bed.
"Woah, what did she say?" Seungmin pulled a confused face, his features scrunching up.
"She's uncontrollable," Minho said bemusedly.
4) school memories
In a new episode of SKZ Code, they were all back to school, dressed in different school uniforms.
"Why is Y/N's uniform so different?" Han pointed out.
"It's cute, though," Hyunjin cooed.
"This is what we'd wear," you do a cute spin in your dark green checkered dress, white socks, dolly shoes and bows in your hair. Of course, you wore a green cardigan with it, representing the colour of the uniform designated by your primary school.
Then you went onto other school experiences, and the boys were interested to hear about how yours differed.
"And then, around Easter time, we'd sing a song like this. 'One mother hen sat on four little eggs'," you began singing, doing actions alongside that you remember being taught by your teachers.
"'Keeping them warm in her little egg nest, then one day she heard a crack!'" you widened your eyes as you mimicked the egg cracking with your hands, the boys giggled at this.
"'And a little voice said as the egg was hatched... I'm a spring chicken! I'm yellow and small...'" you sang the song, the mood becoming more joyful as the boys clapped in time for you and you stood doing the actions.
"'Chicken, I'm a chicken! And I'm having a ball!'" you excitedly finished, a big grin present on your face as you flapped your 'wings'.
"Wahh, that's too cute, surely?" Changbin thought it was adorable, copying the last line.
"Maybe Y/N should replace Bbokari!" Lee Know smirked.
"No!" Felix yelled out laughing, hand over his heart.
You carried on reflecting on your experiences.
"Or at our schools we'd be sorted into different coloured houses," you informed everyone.
"Harry Potter! Harry Potter!" Seungmin cheered.
"Woah, so you went to Hogwarts?" Jeongin gasped, a playful look on his face.
"No, I was in yellow house," you I formed, folding your arms.
"Hufflepuff!" Chan pointed at you.
"Noooo," you shook your head, gosh, how did you deal with them on a daily basis?
5) accent
Y/N was on the phone, talking to her friends from back home.
"The British accent really is... woah," Felix whispered to Hyunjin who nodded.
"So pretty," he added on.
"It's kinda, sexy?" Han wiggled his eyebrows, trying to copy what you were saying.
Ah yes, the Y/N simp line, back at it again.
This was all caught on a SKZ talker, and British stays had a field day with it in the comments.
Why is it so funny that the boys think a broad Yorkshire accent is sexy
The boys think it sounds pretty? I'm flying to Seoul rn brb or maybe not
I just googled how to be Y/N
Y/N got bitches but no one here notices me and we literally sound the same lmao, tough times

it's time for the long-threatened post about how to get subtitles (including translated ones) for videos that don't have subtitles.
in my experience, the methods in this post can probably get you solidly 75% or more of the content of many videos (caveats inside). i've tested this on videos that are originally in chinese, english, french, german, hindi, japanese, korean, spanish, and honestly probably some languages that i'm forgetting. my experience is that it works adequately in all of them. not great, necessarily, but well enough that you can probably follow along.
this is a very long post because this is the overexplaining things website, and because i talk about several different ways to get the captions. this isn't actually difficult, though, or even especially time consuming—the worst of it is pushing a button and ignoring things for a while. actual hands-on work is probably five minutes tops, no matter how long the video is.
i've attempted to format this post understandably, and i hope it's useful to someone.
first up, some disclaimers.
this is just my experience with things, and your experience might be different. the tools used for (and available for) this kind of thing change all the time, and if you're reading this six months after i wrote it, your options might be different. this post is probably still a decent starting place.
background about my biases in this: i work in the creative industries. mostly i'm a fiction editor. i've also been a writer, a technical editor and writer, a transcriptionist, a copyeditor, and something i've seen called a 'translation facilitator' or 'rewrite editor', where something is translated fairly literally (by a person or a machine) and then a native speaker of the target language goes through and rewrites/restructures as needed to make the piece read more naturally in the target language. i've needed to get information out of business meetings that were conducted in a language i didn't speak, and have done a lot of work on things that were written in (or translated into) the writer's second or sixth language, but needed to be presented in natural english.
so to start, most importantly: machine translation is never going to be as good as a translation done by an actual human. human translators can reflect cultural context and nuanced meanings and the artistry of the work in a way that machines will never be able to emulate. that said, if machine translation is your only option, it's better than nothing. i also find it really useful for videos in languages where i have enough knowledge that i'm like, 75% sure that i'm mostly following, and just want something that i can glance at to confirm that.
creating subs like this relies heavily on voice-to-text, which—unfortunately—works a lot better in some situations than it does in others. you'll get the best, cleanest results from videos that have slow, clear speech in a 'neutral' accent, and only one person speaking at a time. (most scripted programs fall into this category, as do many vlogs and single-person interviews.) the results will get worse as voices speed up, overlap more, and vary in volume. that said, i've used this to get captions for cast concerts, reality shows, and variety shows, and the results are imperfect but solidly readable, especially if you have an idea of what's happening in the plot and/or can follow along even a little in the broadcast language.
this also works best when most of the video is in a single language, and you select that language first. the auto detect option sometimes works totally fine, but in my experience there's a nonzero chance that it'll at least occasionally start 'detecting' random other languages in correctly, or someone will say a few words in spanish or whatever, but the automatic detection engine will keep trying to translate from spanish for another three minutes, even tho everything's actually in korean. if there's any way to do so, select the primary language, even if it means that you miss a couple sentences that are in a different language.
two places where these techniques don't work, or don't work without a lot of manual effort on your part: translating words that appear on the screen (introductions, captions, little textual asides, etc), and music. if you're incredibly dedicated, you can do this and add it manually yourself, but honestly, i'm not usually this dedicated. getting captions for the words on the screen will involve either actually editing the video or adding manually translated content to the subs, which is annoying, and lyrics are...complicated. it's possible, and i'm happy to talk about it in another post if anyone is interested, but for the sake of this post, let's call it out of scope, ok? ok. bring up the lyrics on your phone and call it good enough.
places where these techniques are not great: names. it's bad with names. names are going to be mangled. resign yourself to it now. also, in languages that don't have strongly gendered speech, you're going to learn some real fun stuff about the way that the algorithms gender things. (spoiler: not actually fun.) bengali, chinese, and turkish are at least moderately well supported for voice-to-text, but you will get weird pronouns about it.
obligatory caveat about ai and voice-to-text functionality. as far as i'm aware, basically every voice-to-text function is ~ai powered~. i, a person who has spent twenty years working in the creative industries, have a lot of hate for generative ai, and i'm sure that many of you do, too. however, if voice-to-text (or machine translation software) that doesn't rely on it exists anymore, i'm not aware of it.
what we're doing here is the same as what douyin/tiktok/your phone's voice-to-text does, using the same sorts of technology. i mention this because if you look at the tools mentioned in this post, at least some of them will be like 'our great ai stuff lets you transcribe things accurately', and i want you to know why. chat gpt (etc) are basically glorified predictive text, right? so for questions, they're fucking useless, but for things like machine transcription and machine translation, those predictions make it more likely that you get the correct words for things that could have multiple translations, or for words that the software can only partially make out. it's what enables 'he has muscles' vs 'he has mussels', even though muscles and mussels are generally pronounced the same way. i am old enough to have used voice to text back when it was called dictation software, and must grudgingly admit that this is, in fact, much better.
ok! disclaimers over.
let's talk about getting videos
for the most part, this post will assume that you have a video file and nothing else. cobalt.tools is the easiest way i'm aware of to download videos from most sources, though there are other (more robust) options if you're happy to do it from the command line. i assume most people are not, and if you are, you probably don't need this guide anyhow.
i'm going to use 'youtube' as the default 'get a video from' place, but generally speaking, most of this works with basically any source that you can figure out how to download from—your bilibili downloads and torrents and whatever else will work the same way. i'm shorthanding things because this post is already so so long.
if the video you're using has any official (not autogenerated) subtitles that aren't burned in, grab that file, too, regardless of the language. starting from something that a human eye has looked over at some point is always going to give you better results. cobalt.tools doesn't pull subtitles, but plugging the video url into downsub or getsubs and then downloading the srt option is an easy way to get them for most places. (if you use downsub, it'll suggest that you download the full video with subtitles. that's a link to some other software, and i've never used it, so i'm not recommending it one way or the other. the srts are legit, tho.)
the subtitle downloaders also have auto translation options, and they're often (not always) no worse than anything else that we're going to do here—try them and see if they're good enough for your purposes. unfortunately, this only works for things that already have subtitles, which is…not that many things, honestly. so let's move on.
force-translating, lowest stress mode.
this first option is kind of a cheat, but who cares. youtube will auto-caption things in some languages (not you, chinese) assuming that the uploader has enabled it. as ever, the quality is kinda variable, and the likelihood that it's enabled at all seems to vary widely, but if it is, you're in for a much easier time of things, because you turn it on, select whatever language you want it translated to, and youtube…does its best, anyhow.
if you're a weird media hoarder like me and you want to download the autogenerated captions, the best tool that i've found for this is hyprscribr. plug in the video url, select 'download captions via caption grabber', then go to the .srt data tab, copy it out, and paste it into a text file. save this as [name of downloaded video].[language code].srt, and now you have captions! …that you need to translate, which is actually easy. if it's a short video, just grab the text, throw it in google translate (timestamps and all), and then paste the output into a new text file. so if you downloaded cooking.mp4, which is in french, you'll have three files: cooking.mp4, cooking.fr.srt, and cooking.en.srt. this one's done! it's easy! you're free!
but yeah, ok, most stuff isn't quite that easy, and auto-captioning has to be enabled, and it has some very obvious gaps in the langauges it supports. which is sort of weird, because my phone actually has pretty great multilingual support, even for things that youtube does not. which brings us to low-stress force translation option two.
use your phone
this seems a little obvious, but i've surprised several people with this information recently, so just in case. for this option, you don't even need to have downloaded the video—if it's a video you can play on your phone, the phone will almost definitely attempt real-time translation for you. i'm sure iphones have this ability, but i'm an android person, so can only provide directions for that: go into settings and search for (and enable) live translation. the phone will do its best to pick up what's being said and translate it on the fly for you, and if 'what's being said' is a random video on the internet, your phone isn't gonna ask questions. somewhat inexplicably, this works even if the video is muted. i do this a lot at like four a.m. when i'm too lazy to grab earbuds but don't want to wake up my wife.
this is the single least efficient way to force sub/translate things, in my opinion, but it's fast and easy, and really useful for those videos that are like a minute long and probably not that interesting, but like…what if it is, you know? sometimes i'll do this to decide if i'm going to bother more complicated ways of translating things.
similarly—and i feel silly even mentioning this, but that i didn't think of it for an embarrassingly long time—if you're watching something on a device with speakers, you can try just…opening the 'translate' app on your phone. they all accept voice input. like before, it'll translate whatever it picks up.
neither of these methods are especially useful for longer videos, and in my experience, the phone-translation option generally gives the least accurate translation, because in attempting to do things in real time, you lose some of the predicative ability that i was talking about earlier. (filling in the blank for 'he has [muscles/mussels]' is a lot harder if you don't know if the next sentence is about the gym or about dinner.)
one more lazy way
this is more work than the last few options, but often gives better results. with not much effort, you can feed a video playing on your computer directly into google translate. there's a youtube video by yosef k that explains it very quickly and clearly. this will probably give you better translation output than any of the on-the-fly phone things described above, but it won't give you something that you can use as actual subs—it just produces text output that you can read while you watch the video. again, though, really useful for things that you're not totally convinced you care about, or for things where there aren't a lot of visuals, or for stuff where you don't care about keeping your eyes glued to the screen.
but probably you want to watch stuff on the screen at the same time.
let's talk about capcut!
this is probably not a new one for most people, but using it like this is a little weird, so here we go. ahead of time: i'm doing this on an actual computer. i think you probably can do it on your phone, but i have no idea how, and honestly this is already a really long guide so i'm not going to figure it out right now. download capcut and put it on an actual computer. i'm sorry.
anyhow. open up capcut, click new project. import the file that you downloaded, and then drag it down to the editing area. go over to captions, auto captions, and select the spoken language. if you want bilingual captions, pick the language for that, as well, and the captions will be auto-translated into whatever the second language you choose is. (more notes on this later.)
if i remember right, this is the point at which you get told that you can't caption a video that's more than an hour long. however. you have video editing software, and it is open. split the video in two pieces and caption them separately. problem solved.
now the complicated part: saving these subs. (don't panic; it's not actually that complicated.) as everyone is probably aware, exporting captions is a premium feature, and i dunno about the rest of you, but i'm unemployed, so let's assume that's not gonna happen.
the good news is that since you've generated the captions, they're already saved to your computer, they're just kinda secret right now. there are a couple ways to dig them out, but the easiest i'm aware of is the biyaoyun srt generator. you'll have to select the draft file of your project, which is auto-saved once a minute or something. the website tells you where the file is saved by default on your computer. (i realised after writing this entire post that they also have a step-by-step tutorial on how to generate the subtitles, with pictures, so if you're feeling lost, you can check that out here.)
select the project file titled 'draft_content', then click generate. you want the file name to be the same as the video name, and again, i'd suggest srt format, because it seems to be more broadly compatible with media players. click 'save to local' and you now have a subtitle file!
translating your subtitles
you probably still need to translate the subtitles. there are plenty of auto-translation options out there. many of them are fee- or subscription-based, or allow a very limited number of characters, or are like 'we provide amazing free translations' and then in the fine print it says that they provide these translations through the magic of uhhhh google translate. so we're just going to skip to google translate, which has the bonus of being widely available and free.
for shorter video, or one that doesn't have a ton of spoken stuff, you can just copy/paste the contents of the .srt file into the translation software of your choice. the web version of google translate will do 5000 characters in one go, as will systran. that's the most generous allocation that i'm aware of, and will usually get you a couple minutes of video.
the timestamps eat up a ton of characters, though, so for anything longer than a couple minutes, it's easier to upload the whole thing, and google translate is the best for that, because it is, to my knowledge, the only service that allows you to do it. to upload the whole file, you need a .doc or .rtf file.
an .srt file is basically just a text file, so you can just open it in word (or gdocs or whatever), save it as a .doc, and then feed it through google translate. download the output, open it, and save it as an .srt.
you're done! you now have your video and a subtitle file in the language of your choice.
time for vibe, the last option in this post.
vibe is a transcription app (not a sex thing, even tho it sounds like one), and it will also auto-translate the transcribed words to english, if you want.
open vibe and select your file, then select the language. if you want it translated to english, hit advanced and toggle 'translate to english'. click translate and wait a while. after a few minutes (or longer, depending on how long the file is), you'll get the text. the save icon is a folder with a down arrow on it, and i understand why people are moving away from tiny floppy disks, but also: i hate it. anyhow, save the output, and now you have your subs file, which you can translate or edit or whatever, as desired.
vibe and capcom sometimes get very different results. vibe seems to be a little bit better at picking up overlapping speech, or speech when there are other noises happening; capcom seems to be better at getting all the worlds in a sentence. i feel like capcom maybe has a slightly better translation engine, of the two of them, but i usually end up just doing the translation separately. again, it can be worth trying both ways and seeing which gives better results.
special notes about dual/bilingual subs
first: i know that bilingual subs are controversial. if you think they're bad, you don't have to use them! just skip this section.
as with everything else, automatically generating gives mixed results. sometimes the translations are great, and sometimes they're not. i like having dual subs, but for stuff that Matters To Me, for whatever reason, i'll usually generate both just the original and a bilingual version, and then try some other translation methods on the original or parts thereof to see what works best.
not everything displays bilingual subs very well. plex and windows media player both work great, vlc and the default video handler on ubuntu only display whatever the first language is, etc. i'm guessing that if you want dual subbed stuff you already have a system for it.
i'll also point out that if you want dual subs and have gone a route other than capcom, you can create dual subs by pasting the translated version and the untranslated version into a single file. leave the timestamps as they are, delete the line numbers if there are any (sometimes they seem to cause problems when you have dual subs, and i haven't figured out why) and then literally just paste the whole sub file for the first language into a new file. then paste in the whole sub file for the second language. yes, as a single chunk, the whole thing, right under the first language's subs. save the file as [video name].[zh-en].srt (or whatever), and use it like any other sub file.
notes on translation, especially since we're talking about lengthy machine-translations of things.
i default to translation options that allow for translating in large chunks, mostly because i'm lazy. but since an .srt is, again, literally just a text file, they're easy to edit, and if you feel like some of the lines are weird or questionable or whatever, it's easy to change them if you can find a better translation.
so: some fast notes on machine translation options, because i don't know how much time most people spend thinking about this kind of stuff.
one sort of interesting thing to check out is the bing translator. it'll only do 1000 characters at once, but offers the rather interesting option of picking a level of formality. i can't always get it to work, mind, but it's useful especially for times when you're like 'this one line sounds weird'—sometimes the difference between what the translator feels is standard vs formal vs casual english will make a big difference.
very fast illustration of the difference in translations. the random video that i used to make sure i didn't miss any steps explaining things starts with '所以你第二季来'. here's how it got translated:
google: So you come to season 2
google's top alternative: So you come in the second season
bing's standard tone: So here you come for the second season
bing set to casual: So you're coming for the second season, huh?
reverso default guess: So you come in season two
reverso alternate guess: You'll be participating in season two
capcom: So you come in season two
yandex: So you come in the second season
systran: That's why you come in season two
deepl: That's why you're here in season two
vibe: So your second season is here
technically all conveying the same information, but the vibes are very different. sometimes one translator or another will give you a clearly superior translation, so if you feel like the results you're getting are kinda crap, try running a handful of lines through another option and see if it's better.
ok! this was an incredibly long post, and i've almost definitely explained something poorly. again, there are almost certainly better ways to do this, but these ways are free and mostly effective, and they work most of the time, and are better than nothing.
feel free to ask questions and i'll answer as best i can. (the answer to any questions about macs or iphones is 'i'm so sorry, i have no idea tho.' please do not ask those questions.)

All the times you fell in love with Minho
Pairing: Minho/Lee Know x fem!reader
Word Count: 3670
Summary: Falling for Minho has happened in small stages and some moments stuck out: helping you learn Korean, picking you up when it rains, or showing you around his hometown, and many more.
Warnings/Tags: fluff, slight angst, soft!minho, friends to lovers
A/N: This is just a collection of short "stories" that I might conclude to a fiction, filling the gaps one day. I hope you enjoy it!😊~Moon🌙
Tumblr media
You can't exactly pinpoint the moment you knew that Minho was the one. It got lost in a blur of memories, loads of emotions, and incredible moments spent together for years. If someone would ask you what made you fall in love with him, though, you could think of a few moments…
One
It's already getting dark outside as you walk down the street next to your best friend. You shove your hands into your pockets and exhale softly, watching your breath dance through the air. "I can't wait to be back home."
"Why are you suddenly in such a rush?" he asks confused. After all, you have wanted to go for a walk tonight. "I thought you liked this?"
"I do," you clarify, laughing. "It's just getting really cold, and I miss my blanket."
"Unbelievable," he teases you and gently pokes your side. "I thought we were getting dinner," he pouts.
"We can still do that…on our way home?" you suggest, and he rolls his eyes at you.
"Fine," he sighs dramatically and gently bumps his shoulder against yours as it starts to rain very gently. "You'll start melting now?"
"You're an idiot," you groan, and he smirks, satisfied that he pissed you off.
"Not really, you're just being ridiculous," he tells you, and you're about to protest when suddenly he stops walking. His whole expression changes, eyes lightening up and a wide smile covering his lips. "Hii," he says softly and crouches down. You frown softly and only now realize the cat strolling towards Minho. You stare at him as he scratches its head and talks to it in a voice you've only heard him do around children before.
"Min, what if it's sick?" you ask worriedly, and he rolls his eyes with a soft groan.
"Y/N, not everything outside of your flat is a danger, alright?" he reminds you before looking down at the cat again. "I mean, how could you be, huh? Such a sweet little baby," he cooes, and you have to bite back a laugh at how his whole demeanor changes. Cute.
Two
A frustrated groan leaves your lips staring at the page in front of you. It's been a few months since you moved here and your Korean was getting better, but you still needed to learn a lot. Your friend Felix knew the struggle and tried to help you out, as well as Chan since they were able to talk English with you in case you didn't understand. You were a quick learner, but this was taking a toll on you, and you've found yourself frustrated very often. You look up as Minho strolls into the kitchen and grabs himself a drink from the fridge. You flash him a kind smile, and he gives you one back before coming over. The thing with Minho was that your Korean needed work, and his English did. You two always tried to communicate but had to focus really hard to do so. Chan and Felix both pushed you to learn from each other often, and you were starting to get along much better than in the beginning.
"Are you studying?" he asks you, switching to English and you nod tiredly. He looks at you and squints his eyes for a moment. "I can help?"
"Yes, please," you answer, and he nods relieved as you answer in his language. "I don't know how to pronounce that," you say and point at the line in question.
Minho gets himself a chair and sits down next to you, reading through the page before humming softly. He reads it out loud for you, and you try to repeat it. He chuckles at your first attempt, and you smack his arm in protest.
"Hey, that's not nice!" you laugh.
He grins. "My mistake," he says with a very adorable accent that makes you smile involuntarily. He lets you repeat word for word and becomes very patient with you. You feel at ease now, listening to his soft voice making sense of your chaos. When Chan and Felix get back from the company and see you two sticking your heads together over your book, they exchange a knowing grin and give you some privacy.
Three
Minho glances at you as you look down at your phone, seeming a little sad. He gently nudges your side and tilts his head at you. "Hey, you're okay?"
"Yeah, I'm okay," you nod, but he's not convinced. "I just miss home sometimes, you know? I love it here, I do, my job is amazing, and I can spend time with you guys all the time…but sometimes I miss home."
Minho nods understandingly; he knows how it can get. "What do you miss the most?"
"Right now?" you ask, and he nods. "That might sound stupid but my mum's cooking."
"That doesn't sound stupid at all," he assures you. "My mum lives an hour away, and still, I miss it all the time."
You giggle softly and shake your head at him. "I can't cook for shit; otherwise I'd solve the problem that way."
Minho frowns at you. "Hello? You have a foive star Michelin here," he says, imitating Felix's accent and deep voice. "Tell me what you want, and I'll figure it out."
"You're being serious?" you ask amused, and he frowns at you, almost offended. You know he can cook, but you didn't expect that. "Wait, really?"
"For someone as smart as you you're surprisingly dumb sometimes," he tells you with a kind smile and pats your head, like you've seen him doing it with his cats before. "Don't worry, kitten, I got you."
You search his eyes, and your heart warms at the thought of him cooking for you. "Okay," you say gently and send him your mother's recipe.
Minho reads through it before jumping up. "Huh, easy as cake," he grins.
"As pie," you say.
"What?" he asks, irritated.
"As easy as pie, Min," you clarify, and he pulls a grimace.
"Correcting me even when I'm doing you a favor," he scolds you fondly.
"Hey, you told me to," you giggle.
Minho opens the fridge and waves you off, taking out some ingredients. He meets your eyes across the room and smirks. "Cooking like a chef."
"Shut up."
Four
You curse quietly to yourself as you look outside and see the rain pouring down on the streets, thunder rumbling through the air. Of course, you forgot your damn umbrella today. You never did, and somehow you managed to do so the first time in ages you could actually use it. Once you're done handling all the things for the upcoming tour of your friends, you push yourself up and pack your things. You'd be soaked the minute you stepped outside.
In the elevator, you once more check your bag but still can't find your umbrella. You give up sighing and walk towards the exit, frowning as you spot Minho. "What are you doing here?"
"Hello to you too," he says and you fight back the urge to roll your eyes.
"I thought you had dance practice," you tell him, confused.
"Why would they need me?" he asks jokingly.
"You're the main dancer, genius," you snort.
"Totally overrated," he waves you off.
"Seriously, why are you here?" you ask, laughing.
"Why? Would you prefer I'm somewhere else? Am I bothering you?" he asks, pouting.
"What? No," you laugh and shake your head.
"Sure sounds like it," he says before grinning. "When you came here, I promised Felix to take care of his friend. Since we all know you're made of sugar, I'm here to make sure you'll reach home in one piece." You blink at him, confused. "It's raining, and you'll simply dissolve, won't you?"
"Idiot," you giggle.
"Well, come on now, I have a dance practice to get back to. I'm the main dancer, after all," he tells you and earns a playful punch in the arm for it. Minho grins and wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you against him as he opens the umbrella and steps outside with you. You smile at the feeling of his body next to yours as he makes sure you're not getting wet.
"Thank you for picking me up," you tell him gently.
"I saw you forgot your umbrella," he tells you and smiles softly. "You're too young to die, dear, I had to come and get you."
"Will you stop?" you laugh and pinch his side, making him squeak in surprise.
"Stop this, or I might reconsider," he jokingly threatens.
"You'd abandon me just like that?" you ask, covering your mouth in fake shock.
"You? Never," he winks at you, and you quickly look away, feeling yourself blush. Gosh, not again.
"You're a real gentleman, thank you very much," you say sarcastically, and a genuine laugh falls from his lips. You can't help but laugh as well, loving the sound of his sweet, happy giggles.
Five
You nervously fidget with your hands as you get closer to Minho's bedroom door. Only five minutes ago it had seemed like a fun idea to actually learn a dance of theirs for once as Felix had so often teased you about. You used to love dancing growing up but haven't done it in a while. Chan suggested that you ask Minho for help, after all, he was their main dancer. You've watched him work quite often by now, knowing his ways to make things simple for his friends. Somehow, the thought intimidated you a little because Minho was amazing at dancing. You could only embarrass yourself, right? You give yourself a push and gently knock on his door.
Only a few seconds later, he's at the door, opening it and looking at you surprised. "Y/N? Do you need anything?"
"Maybe?" you chuckle and awkwardly look at him, not knowing how to say it.
Minho squints his eyes at you before taking your hand and pulling you into his room, closing the door again. "What did you do?"
"What?" you ask, laughing nervously.
"Did you break something? Did you mix colors doing the laundry again and ruin another of Changbin's expensive shirts?" he asks, and you start laughing at him.
"No, Min, please," you giggle and search his eyes. "I wanted to ask you for a favor, actually."
"Go on," he nods and leans against his desk, gently blowing a strand of his hair out of his face.
"I've been joking with Felix and Chan about learning a dance of yours," you tell him, and he looks at you curiously. "Channie suggested I'd ask you for help."
"Any particular reason for it?" he asks, interested.
"Boredom?" you shrug, and he chuckles softly. "I used to dance when I was younger, but I haven't done it in ages, so…I could use some help."
He smiles gently, unable to hide his excitement about you coming to ask him for help. "When do you want to start?"
"Right now?" you ask before quickly shaking your head. "If you have time. If not, we don't have to and-."
"Of course, I have time for you," he tells you with a genuine smile that makes your heart flutter a little.
Only shortly after you find yourself in the practice room with him, a little intimidated by the huge mirror wall in front of you. Minho follows your eyes and contorts his face. "I hate them too, once you know the dance they're simply distracting."
You chuckle softly and watch him as he starts talking you through the steps. Following his instructions is easy, he simplifies everything for you with silly metaphors that make you laugh. At one point, you can't quite follow his movement anymore, and he steps behind you, gently taking your wrist.
"Here, like this. Twist it gently against your head and twirl your fingers to a fist as you do," he tells you and moves his leg between yours. "A little further apart," he says before his hand lingers over your lower back and corrects your posture. Your breath hitches as his fingertips brush against your skin as he tucks a loose hairstrand behind your ear. "Try again," he says quietly, and you repeat the last few steps he has shown you. He tilts his head at you softly as he watches you with trained eyes. You're not quite sure why he's smiling to himself until he speaks up again. "Very well, Y/N, you'd fit right in."
"Stop it," you say, blushing softly at his clearly impressed expression.
"I mean it. You're better than you think you are," he tells you kindly.
Six
"Oh! And just down here, I used to go after school when I didn't want to go back home already," he tells you, pointing down the street. "I used to play games there all afternoon with my friends."
"What about your homework?" you tease him.
"Overrated," he rolls his eyes. "I did that hidden beneath the blanket with my flashlight later."
You giggle at the thought of a small Minho hiding beneath his blanket and doing his homework in secret. "Such a good student, huh?"
"I was okay," he shrugs and thinks for a moment. "You're hungry?"
"A little, yes," you nod and giggle as his eyes brighten up. "Let me guess, you know a place."
"Hey," he says softly and looks almost a little timid. "I thought you wanted to see the places I grew up around."
You gently wrap your arms around him, standing next to him, and smirk at him. "I still do. I just think you're adorable."
"I'm what now?" he asks offended but you see the blush rising in his cheeks.
"You're adorable, Min," you tell him again, and he glances at you nervously. "I love how excited you get over small things sometimes."
"Hey, I have a reputation," he mumbles, only half-heartedly protesting.
"I know you better than that," you chuckle, and he squirms a little in your arms. "Lead the way, handsome."
"Handsome?" he whispers, and his eyes widen.
You giggle at him and poke his cheek lovingly. "Chan was right, you really suck at taking compliments," you say and let go of him.
"He didn't say that!" Minho protests loudly, and his eyes widen as you simply nod. "Chan hyung, you little -."
"Don't," you scold him, and he rolls his eyes.
"He's not here, you know," he tells you.
"And still, you call him hyung," you point out.
"I'm being polite, some people were raised like that, you know?" he teases, and you stick your tongue out at him. "See? That's exactly what I mean."
"So? Where to next?" you ask, and he points down another street.
"Right there," he smiles and looks down as you take his hand.
"Come on now, I'm hungry," you laugh at his puzzled look.
"Right," he nods quickly and leads you down the street, loving how your hands fit together perfectly.
Seven
Minho frowns softly as your name pops up on his screen. He grabs his phone and takes the call almost immediately. "What's up?" he asks.
"Do you have time right now?" you ask shakily, and he sits up straight in his chair.
"What's wrong?" he asks worriedly.
"I'm just feeling sad," you tell him and sniffle softly.
"Oh, dear, why's that?" he asks softly.
"I miss home and I feel like I'm messing everything up lately. It's been raining for days, which only worsens my mood, and I'm having trouble sleeping," you explain quietly.
Minho hums gently before frowning. "Chan's busy doing the live right now, and Felix is on some fashion event…but Chan should be done in twenty minutes. I'll tell him to call you and-."
"Minho," you say, and he shuts up immediately. "I know they're busy."
"Yeah, right, you know our schedule better than we do," he giggles.
"I wouldn't have called them if they weren't either," you say.
"What?" he asks confused.
"I wanted to talk to you and hear your voice, Min," you say timidly.
His eyes widen at your confession, and he swallows hard. "Why me? They know you so much longer, and I'm sure they can help you out better."
"I feel safe with you," you tell him, and he remains quiet for a very long moment. You start getting nervous, unsure if you've overstepped a line now.
"I uhm, can I call you back? Something came up," he says, and you swallow hard.
"Okay," you say quietly, but he has already ended the call. You anxiously put down your phone and stare out of the window. Had it been a mistake calling him for comfort? Did he feel like you were moving too fast in your friendship for that?
Only twenty minutes later, Minho rings your doorbell repeatedly. You open the door and stare at him, surprised. "I brought some food, your favorite chocolate, and my mini projector to watch some movies. I also brought the blanket you always steal from me…which is kinda stupid since you have your own here," he says and frowns at himself at the last bit. "Will you let me in? I'm soaked and starting to feel a little cold," he whines.
Only then you notice his wet hair and clothes, too focused on his soft eyes searching yours beforehand. "Why are you here?" you ask stunned as you let him inside.
Minho looks at you in utter confusion and puts the things down on your kitchen table. "You said you were sad."
"And that makes you risk getting sick?" you ask surprised, and hand him a towel for his hair.
He quickly dries his hair a bit before putting the towel aside and tilting his head at you. "You said you feel safe with me…so why would I stay at home?"
You stare at him before tears fill your eyes all over again. "I really don't deserve you," you press out, touched by his effort.
Minho's face softens, and he pulls you into a warm hug. "You deserve only the best and so much more, beautiful," he says softly and smiles as you hold onto him tightly. He buries his face in your shoulder, smiling at the feeling of being needed. Needed by you. "I'm here now. You'll be okay," he promises, and you believe him.
Eight
You chuckle as Chan takes your hand and pulls you into the audience to get a good view of the stage. The rest of the kids follow you, and you all curiously wait for your friends to enter the stage. Felix told you it would be the first time they'd perform Taste live. You loved the song the moment you heard it for the first time and were really surprised by Minho's vocals as well. You giggle softly as Minho fools around with the audience before, opening his suit jacket and laughing at the supportive screams. "Such a tease," you say.
Chan grins and hums softly. "Wouldn't expect any different," he nods, knowing damn well his friend only had eyes for you since he spotted you in the crowd. By now, everyone had picked up on the way you two gazed at each other, both thinking to be subtle.
They start their performance, and you can't do anything else than stare at Minho. The suit fits him amazingly; the colors are complimenting his dark eyes and hair. His stage presence is undeniable, and you'd never get sick of watching him dance, doing what he loved. His beautiful angel voice rings in your ears, and suddenly, he's sinking to his knees, still singing effortlessly. You're making eye contact, and it hits you all over again how beautiful he is. Before you know it, he's on the floor, rolling his hips with his hand placed near his lap, and you can't deny the sparks shooting through your lower stomach.
"Enjoying the view?" Chan teases you, and your eyes widen.
"Huh?" you ask nervously and glance at him for a moment. "Felix being handsome is no news, Channie."
"I wasn't talking about Felix," he chuckles and leans closer to you so you can hear him as the crowd goes wild. "I'm not talking about Hyunjin either."
"Minho always looks good on stage," you say cautiously.
"Only on stage?" he asks, and you turn to look at him. "I'm not blind, Y/N."
You glance back on stage as Minho takes his ending position, panting softly and smirking succeedingly into the camera. "Would it be so bad if I liked him more than a friend?" you ask timidly.
Chan gently wraps his arm around your shoulders. "Do you?" he asks, and all you can do is nod, swallowing hard at the confession. "I can tell you he'd love to hear that."
"What?" you ask surprised.
"Minho needs someone to show him how lovable he actually is. He'll never make the first move thinking you don't like him that way and too afraid to lose you," Chan tells you gently. "You have a very special place in his heart; he's just scared to show you."
"Are you saying there's actually a chance he likes me back?" you ask quietly.
"Not just a chance," he says before searching your eyes. "We have your back no matter what, and we'll always be there to support the two of you," he tells you and gently places his hands on your shoulders as Minho makes his way towards you. "You two deserve to be happy," he says softly and pushes you forward.
You meet Minho's beautiful dark eyes and flash him a shy smile. "Hi."
"Hey," he smiles happily, eyes lightening up at the sight of you.
"You looked beautiful up there," you say, and he blushes, smiling shyly.
"Yeah?" he asks sweetly. You've never called him beautiful before.
"Can we talk?" you ask gently and reach out for his hand.
Minho's face grows worried as he takes your hand, intertwining your fingers. "Is something wrong, kitten?" he asks.
Gosh, you really loved this man.

Because you cannot pry British Juwon from my hands here are some Juwon headcanons based on his time in England and a bit about how it affects his life in Korea. Featuring Kwon Hyeok obviously.
Language Headcanons:
He is bilingual and is fully fluent in both English and Korean.
He learnt French in school but has forgotten most of it.
It actually got to a point where he would forget words in Korean and ask Hyeok what they were. So he would write down words he forgot and memorise them.
He still sometimes, tho very very rarely, forgets words. He has a note in his phone of them.
He spoke Korean with Hyeok but whenever either of them went out, they spoke English.
Hyeok was fluent but has not maintained the same level as Juwon since moving back to Korea.
Juwon mumbles in English to himself when thinking hard and believing he’s alone. However, people have caught him do this from time to time.
His English voice is a tiny bit deeper than his Korean one but not many people notice it (DS does tho 👀).
He speaks English pretty articulately, and has more of a southern accent.
He says scone like phone and not like gone.
Dongsik adores when Juwon speaks English and has actually picked up a couple words himself.
Unconsciously swears in English… including in rated E moments.
When he’s stressed/upset and gets the opportunity to just explode (obviously after he’s bottled it) he talks in a mush of both languages.
Other Headcanons:
Juwon went to a private school in England and Hyeok taught him extra at home.
He did not have a lot of friends but had one or two that he liked tolerated.
Definitely got picked on by other kids for being quiet or weird. That was until he full on punched a kid and got in deep shit for it, but nobody picked on him again so Juwon called it a win.
He though british/western food was mostly bland but there was a certain elegance and comfort in its simplicity.
Did not go out often, and flat out refused to go to clubs.
He did apply for UK universities and did a year or two before going to the Korean Police Uni.
Did get into a good uni, like Russell group uni (maybe Oxford?), and yet didn’t get accommodation and simply got his own place instead (his hate of sharing things and richness coming into play). He also learnt to cook there.
His father never visited but did send money to the two of them, though Hyeok also got a job out there.
He does not have the best spice tolerance due to western food being… not that spicy.
He has an English name, but doesn’t like to use it unless he has to. He much prefers Juwon.
Has been asked out by a variety of people but turned everyone down as politely as possible (unless they were pushy then he got annoyed and was very bitchy about it). He has never been interested in anyone.
Has read every single sherlock holmes book in English and still has copies in his Seoul apartment.
The only jobs he had in England were from mandatory work experience.
Despite not really being social, he did get to know a book store worker when he went to purchase something out of the classics section.
Yes he read classics and older literature, you’re gonna tell me he didn’t? But his guilty pleasure was fantasy books. He definitely read mostly in English (more accessible) but did pick up the odd Korean book too.
His notes for cases in korea are a mash of Korean and English, mostly just writing in whatever language flows out first. There’s not a lot of time to get them down and nobody else is gonna see them so he doesn’t care about it.
Feel free to drop your own thoughts and opinions and reminder that these are MY HEADCANONS and may not fully align with yours :)

Tumblr media Tumblr media
König is a compelling man. He's self assured of his job, always with his chin lifted up when looking at others, like they're mere sargeants. It doesn't matter the ranks, he thinks that no one is capable of matching against him. And honestly, he is AT LEAST a pain in the ass for the enemies, after all, a man described as a mountain it's not easy to deal with. 6 '10 feet of pure arrogance, he is self assured of his height, and his weight as well. Tall, massive, huge, big…all those words could describe him. And everything gets worse with the mask he uses, with only holes for his eyes, his piercing eyes gazing at your soul from above, his figure would tower over you, like you're the smallest person in the world, and you felt small on his side, very small.
He thinks a lot of himself, after all what he passed through, he's arrogant with pleasure. Showing off to those kids that we weren't just the 'giraffe' of the class, he could break your bones with one hand. He could bend you over and crunch your body easily if he wants. And oh, how he wishes that the kids that bullied him come back into his eyes, they would face this man and start trembling all over, the little boy that would cry everything they put a mocking nickname on him, now could rip you apart. Besides that, he has social anxiety, but doesn't show off. He just doesn't like crowded places, but in the field, he is ordering and yelling a lot. But on casual occasions, he's socially awkward, just that. He's not shy.
When you first saw him, you almost pissed in your pants. You had to turn all your neck up to look into his eyes, and somehow, he liked eye contact a little too much with you. His voice is husky, he's spitting orders to everyone and if you dare not to do so…consider you're dead, out of team, simply that. Entering the KORTAC was not easy, you had a lot of trainments, a lot of challenges against your body that made you forget who you are. But in exchange, you have a good team to count on. Horangi was the first one to welcome you. Besides that cold face in the mask, he is very gentle. Not the type to keep smiling all time, but he's gentle in his own way. Always giving you 'good morning' with a nod of his head, waving his hands softly or just hearing you speak nonchalantly. And when he brought you to König the first time…you were scared, a lot.
—"This is our colonel, König." —His Korean accent was cute, you thought to yourself. Horangi says briefly, welcoming you to the team.
—"Willkommen"
—"What…did you say?"
—"Welcome."
His words are brief as well. Horangi just presses his shoulders with his hands, both masked men looking at you. König's voice is smoky, penetrating your mind and quickly, your memory. You would recognize his voice everywhere, it's very unique. A bit different in field, his voice cracks sometimes, the adrenaline running on his blood making him speak like that. When he's not on the field, his voice is gruff, rough and low at the perfect tone for you.
And since he became a colonel, everything is way too easy for him. He just wants it? He have it. Easy like that. And with this power, he became even more arrogant, like he has the power to rule the world if he wants too. The colonel has a separate room for him, not sleeping in the tents with the others, or on the bunk beds in higher levels, no. He has a whole king size bed, his own room. And honestly, he couldn't sleep in a tent or a bunk bed, his body is way too big, he would sleep uncomfortably, and the colonel needs a great sleep to command his team. He has a weird way of sleeping as well, he's not estatic like a rock, he moves a lot, like the bed in the morning has the blankets on the floor because he moved while sleeping. He's a bit of a sleep talker as well, when he had a tiring day, he would murmur some words, it's not very understandable, but he does talk while sleeps sometimes.
When it's the night, he would clap his hands, his gloved palms making a great sound against each other.
—"Everyone, it's time to sleep!" —He says loudly so everyone would hear. And in minutes, they're all tucked in bed, even you. You wouldn't dare to disobey that man anyways.
Ever since you're in KORTAC, you've had good friends to talk to, good teammates and a good life, besides all the rough parts of being a soldier. And you're very happy to be here, all the effort was worth it. With the time here passing you, you start to get to know König better. He used to say "They are no match for me", with that thick Austrian accent. And he uses some words you don't know the meaning of, or even speaks German thinking you will understand.
—"Markieren Sie ihre Position" (Mark their position) —You will be staring at him with a frown, like 'what is that?', and he doesn't notice he spoke in German until you say so.
Besides all of that, he's a great colonel, always keeping his team good and never leaving no one behind. He has his own way to show love. One time, he took the whole team to a bar, and paid for everyone's drink. Sometimes you wonder how much a colonel gets paid for, because König seems to have a lot of money. As you know, he's been in this rank for a long while now, this would only make his wage higher.
He's not the type to talk, it's rare when he talks to you, and it's mostly about job. But you sometimes catch him staring at you, almost all the time. You're training? He's staring. You're in one meeting? He's staring. You're literally not doing nothing? He's staring. And when you caught him doing that, he would just clear his throat and move his body weight to the other leg. Or if he's sitting, he would bounce his legs up and down. And obviously, he will look away. Just to stare once more when you're not looking — At least when he thinks you're not — But you can notice from the side eye, his blue eyes gazing up and down.
After almost a year on KORTAC, he seems to be more open with you. You are gaining his trust slowly, creeping into his heart and staying there. He notices how sunshiney you are, always giving everyone 'good morning' and smiling at all. He kinda doesn't like this, you're always so happy and talkative, it makes him tighten his jaw behind his hood. You always wondered how he is behind that mask, and even the closest person to him, never saw his face.
—"I dunno, I never saw his face." —Says Horangi, scratching his neck while looking away. Seems like it's not something he thought about often. It's something that doesn't matter, he should have his reasons to hide his face. Just as Horangi does to keep his identity.
The curiosity is eating you up alive. You're biting your own nails, looking everywhere for any sign of König. Maybe asking won't hurt, after all, he's more open to you these days.
—"Nein." —König crosses his arms on his big chest, staring down at you.
—"But—"
—"I told you, nein." —You can feel your shoulders going down in regret. Your lips turn into a sad pout as you snort and walk away. At least, you don't want to make him angry with you or something.
He never eats or drinks with the team, he always observes everyone eating, then he goes to his room to finally eat. It's a weird habit that he has to keep his privacy, but you respect that after all. Days to days, and König is getting even closer to you, maybe one day, he will show you his face.
It's a matter of fact that the colonel grows a soft spot for you with the time, always protecting you from the others who dare to say something inappropriate. Always hearing as you speak with his eyes staring at you. He would stay quiet and listen to everything you wanted to say. The arrogant colonel is a soft man with you, sometimes he would even chuckle softly and briefly with your words. And when he laughs, he would laugh for a brief moment, a warm laugh that makes you proud. You make him laugh with some dad jokes, is one type of joke he likes, and his laughs fill the hallways of the HQ. You would make a proud face and rest for the rest of the day, knowing that you made him laugh.
With that, he is learning to deal with you as well. You're a pretty one in the team, and the other would stare that's for sure. There's ones who would even say dirty things, and you would feel disgusted. Saying this to König, he would easily finish your problem, one word and the person would never look in your direction again. You felt safe around him, knowing that he does his best to show how much he cared about you after all those years in KORTAC. One day, he would be feeling sorrow for you, you're saying how much your back hurts from sleeping in the bunks, and how your teammate would snore too loud for you to sleep properly. Immediately, his eyes light up and you can see his eyes squinting behind the hood, he's smiling.
—"Sleep in my bed."
—"Are you serious?"
—"Ja, mein liebling. I won't touch you"—And he would only nod with his head. The first night was hard, you were embarrassed but he kept his promise and didn't touch you. Your backs were turned to each other, and he's such a gentleman for not even daring to touch such an angel like you. When he fully sleeps, you can hear him babble something incoherent, that is not even in english, so you really can't understand. Even while sleeping, he doesn't take the mask off.
From this day on, people kept talking about how the colonel treats you differently, how he would treat you like an angel, like a kid. And you love it, of course. All his attention, all his protection. Having this big man around? You can do whatever you want to.
Little did you know that each time he's growing more and more crazy about you. He just can't handle himself anymore. It's a phase where he feels like a puberty teen. He would stare at your body all the time, and you would catch him, but he doesn't stop doing it. When you're not looking, he continues to do so. His mask gives him the opportunity to bite his lower lips at the sight, and you wouldn't even know. His hands 'resting' on his thighs, maybe squeezing them a little, and they're too big, even for his hands.
König can't handle anymore, when you slept in the same bed as him, he went crazy totally. He would look at your sleeping figure and watch you, seeing as your chest would go up and down at a slow pace. "How adorable", he thought. He would restrain his hands at the max he could, after all, he promised not to touch you, to make you feel comfortable around him to sleep in the same bed. But he didn't keep his hands to himself, that's for sure. His hands slowly make their way down his legs, he would caress his inner thigh, already feeling his throbbing dick. The erect member hurts a lot. König hisses under his breath, leaving a muffled breath as he starts to touch his clothed dick. Just stroking them at this sight would be enough, he bites his lip while trying to suppress his moans and doesn't wake you up. You're so peaceful in your sleep, like a little doll he wants to protect it, keep to himself and never letting you go anymore. He notices how the military uniform is a bit large for you, the shirt on your thighs as you sleep. Seeing your curves and thighs would make him crazy, he's already a thigh man, but seeing YOURS thighs? Damn, he can't control himself. Your creamy legs look so delicious that he wants to bite them, lick them and move his hands through all your body.
He flickers his eyes for a moment, feeling his body heated up with what he's doing. It's wrong, but he can do it, he's the colonel, after all. His eyes couldn't handle the pleasure and roll up his head, before shutting close with difficulty. His big hands around his clothed crotch, so close to already cumming in his pants without even touching properly. That's the power you had upon him, and he felt fragile for being this desperate for someone. Couldn't even hold his hands to himself and is humping on his hands like a dog in heat.
—"Fuck. Fuck. Shit!" —König mumbles in a silent whisper, his voice becoming more and more breathy as he feels like he's in heaven. You're such a great sight to his eyes, just by existing, you're perfect to him. He just wants to move his hands all over your body.
He's rocking himself on his hands erratic, panting like a dog and even spasming with pleasure. The feeling washes over all his self proud, all his self conscience. He can feel the wanting orgasm coming after so long wanting that he starts to shiver on his hands. It's too much to take, he will cum on his pants like a school boy seeing some cleavage. He starts to chase his high, his tongue popping out of his mouth, still hidden by his hood as he's groaning softly, watching his tone to not wake you up.
—"Haah…fuuuuck!" —He babbles like crazy, feeling the climax closer than before. That's when he feels like he's going insane completely. He cums in large amounts, the thick liquid dripping in his thighs. His chest shivers when he feels this sensation on his body, the wanted clímax just from seeing you sleep.
He rolls his eyes to the back once more and feels as his pants get wet. A wet stain on his pants as he's panting heavily, trying to recover from the last release. He looks down to see his terrible state, it's deplorable, miserable. He doesn't even look like the arrogant colonel König. He grunts softly and sees the strain in his cargo pants, remembering what he did just now. He has to clean this up. And his throbbing cock is now all red, the veins around his length making it hard to focus on something else, the cum slowly dripping and going to make his pants dirty. He feels dirty.
But he can do it, he's the colonel, after all.

Sunsets and footballers (Part 26)
Alexia Putellas x Character (2)
Masterlist (other parts here)
Five months. She hadn’t seen her for five months. At first she thought they’d been going to the bar on different days, but after speaking to a few regulars, she realised that Ridley hadn’t been back to the bar.
“She does this.” Javier shrugged. “She’s a busy woman, especially with her job.  She travels a lot and parties a lot when she’s not working. She especially loves Ibiza.” He laughed. “I party with her often, but it’s hard to keep up. We’re lucky to have her here. She draws a crowd.”
Alexia looked around. The bar was not chaotic, but it was still bustling. She caught eyes with one of the dancers again, though she was no longer performing, and was making her needs known as she looked at Alexia, her lips wrapping around the straw in her drink. After the first two months, she’d given up and fallen into the same habit since her injury. Partying. Fucking. It helped her to forget.
“Do you still have a room available?” Alexia asked Javier behind the bar as he brushed the little moustache he was so proud of.
He nodded. “Girl, I’ve had eleven prepped and ready for you since you got here.” He passed her the keys with a cute little wink. “Go get her.”
Javier was also gay, obviously so. Since that night five months ago, they’d become friends. He was so relaxed and casual, never too emotional. The most emotion he’d ever show was bitter disappointment, especially when straight men decided they needed to be heard or get some testosterone out.
Alexia caught the eye of the dancer again and stood, room key spinning on her finger as she walked up the stairs. Javier knew room eleven was her favourite, being her playing number. She unlocked the door and entered, leaving it open for her fuck of the night. The rooms always smelt good. Clean. Javier was a proud business owner and his attention to detail was immaculate. She wondered if that’s why he and Ridley got on so well.
She scoffed at herself, shaking her head to rid it of the women she’d probably never see again. As she entered the room, it was simple. Large. The colours black and red dominating the room. There was a large king double canopy, its frame black, with an array of hooks and holes for all sorts of fun toys and bondage. The sheets and pillows were silk, the blanket velvet, and all were a deep maroon. She looked at the dark, lone, three-seater modular couch which sat at the other end of the room, opposite the bed. She’d fucked on that multiple times, and watched from it, multiple times. Had Ridley fucked someone on it also?
She shook her head with a groan. Stop. The door clicked closed behind her and she turned to the dancer who wandered into the room, biting down on her lip.
“Spanish?” Alexia demanded in the language.
She shook her head.
“English?” Alexia asked, this time in English, her accent thick.
She held her thumb and forefinger a part just a little. “Little..” She said with a strong Korean accent.
Alexia stepped forward to her. “You… want this?” Her English wasn’t the best, but it was going to have to do for the night. She needed approval. The dancer nodded and moved closer, looking up at her with big eyes, full of need. “Yes.”
Alexia knew as soon as they first saw each other in the bar who she was. What she was. What she wanted. She took another step forward so Alexia had to look even further down now. Alexia’s eyes darkened as the dancer maintained eye contact and began lowering herself to her knees. Alexia caught her by the throat.
“No.” Even with that one word, her accent was strong. She walked her back to the bed and pushed her onto it and just like all of the other nights, it gave her the distraction she needed.. for a least the first hour.
Alexia didn’t orgasm, as hard as she tried. She gave up after that hour and changed tactics, pulling her underwear back on and trying to distract herself in other ways by tasting her and railing the absolute fuck out of her. Multiple times. Javier had made sure the room was ‘set up’ just right, the music distracting and her favourite type of strap-on in the little shelving unit, brand new and ready to go. Regardless of her dominance, her brain was still overwhelming her with thoughts. Ridley. Her ACL. Ridley. The abusive management of her team. Ridley. She was on her mind as her fingers were inside her. On her mind as her tongue was sucking around her swollen clit and her fingers were playing with her nipples. On her mind as she railed her missionary. Sideways. From behind. From below. It angered her and pushed her to her limits. She closed her eyes and kept thrusting, trying to focus on the moaning and pleasurable cries from the woman she was fucking. Alexia went into that place she went to during extreme physical training. She was focused, sweat dripping from her body, and just getting on with it. This shouldn't be what sex is, but it was, because it was the only thing to keep her thoughts at bay. But not tonight.
She slammed the woman into her sixth orgasm of the night and then left her there as she withdrew and dressed herself, putting the strap into the bin. Javier never re-used toys.
She knew it was harsh, but she couldn’t even look at the woman. After she was dressed, she went into the bathroom to tidy up, fixing her hair and making herself look more presentable. She locked onto her own hazel eyes in the mirror, disappointed at what she saw there. Alexia wasn’t an emotional person, she was strong and authoritive. A leader. But right now, she wanted to cry at the woman she saw reflected back at her.
She washed her face and wiped the taste of the woman from her slightly swollen lips, eager to go home and shower the night off. She never showered in the room; it was too… personal.
She left the room; the woman was now up and holding her clothes to her body as she made her way to the bathroom. She looked a little shy as Alexia exited and mustered up a polite smile in return as she left the room without another thought about her.
Ridley. Ridley. Ridley. What would Ridley have done after sex with her? Is that what she usually does? Would she have left Alexia like that?
She was eyes down and thinking too much as she rounded the corner and smacked into a body. She fell backwards into the wall, the breath knocked out of her lungs slightly with a little moan. That’s exactly what she needed. She felt herself getting a little upset until she saw who it was.
“La Reina.” Ridley said huskily in Spanish. “That was my fault, forgive me?”
Alexia knew that they both knew it was definitely not her fault. Alexia was the one who wasn’t looking. She looked up at Ridley who was slightly taller and one of the first things she noticed was her smell. It was more masculine than feminine, though barely. Fresh and raw. Woody, spicy and sweet with a hint of musk. She was obsessed with that smell. Her mouth opened to find something to say as she found herself looking at those lips, that scar, those eyes. Alexia was a strong woman and was always the leader, the voice of reason, and the dominant character in 99.99% of situations. Ridley was that 0.01%.
“Don’t do it again.” She’d managed to say. That seemed to amuse her, the gold flecks in her eyes dancing as she stood so close that Alexia could feel her body heat.
“I can’t promise that.” She admitted and then her eyes flicked over her shoulder and darkened as the dancer exited room eleven and shyly ducked past them. “Ah. I wouldn’t have picked that as your type, la Reina.”
Alexia didn’t say anything, a little embarrassed that she’d been caught.
A stunningly sexy woman came up behind Ridley then, her hands finding her waist and her teeth nipping her earlobe teasingly. “I’ll be waiting for you.” She murmured in her ear as she gave Alexia a flirty look and left, walking into room ten. Ridley hadn’t taken her eyes from Alexia during the whole exchange. It were as if she were studying her body language, her reactions.
She tilted her head again, eyes now teasing. “Would you like to watch?”
Alexia found herself unable to form words, and Ridley waited patiently until she chuckled. She leant down, her lips brushing her ear just softly enough to register as Alexia stopped breathing.
“Next time, then.”

Do The Chul Dance!
"Alright Darren, get ready!" The dance director shouted with his megaphone.
Darren the scrawny white man walked onto the stage.
"Okay Darren, we need you to do something like those KPOP stars now chop chop!" The director waved his baton.
"U-Um sir... I don't... watch KPOP-"
"Nonsense! Just feel it in your body!" The director interrupted Darren.
"N-Not to be mean sir but I'm just a an american white guy..." Darren isn't korean let alone someone that's ever left the U.S. so he wasn't sure how he could "feel it in your body".
Infact this whole gig was weird from the start. Darren was an amateur dancer and was trying to find a bit of work to fund his student loans and this job just came to him on a phone ad one day.
Dance like a star!
Get money and change your life!
K-Star~
The tagline was a bit weird but money is money. But now... he was at a loss.
"Now now darling, how about you put these on!" The director got out of his chair and handed Darren an impressive pair of shades with Darren reluctantly putting the eye covers.
Tumblr media
"Let's take it from the top! Show your korean gusto, Darren!" The director shouted into the megaphone once more
"S-Sir... like I told you before I-I'm america-"
"What are you talking about my good chap? Being korean was part of the sign up process. You are 100% one!"
"But I'm not-"
"You are Korean. Always have been," The moment the words left the director's mouth Darren's new shades began to glow and Darren's body began to change.
Darren lost a bit of muscle as he became a bit skinnier while his face was restructured to be much more authentically korean with narrower eyes, a bit plumper lips and slimmer nose. The final physical change for now was Darren's becoming a bit tanner. Memories of being on American soil all Darren's life were replaced with memories of korean city skylines and immigrating at age 20. Despite it all he's somehow pretty good with english but still stumbles from time to time. Darren's mom was always enamored with american names so she named his son with one.
"Ah, right. So sorry! Don't know what came over me!" A korean accent quickly overtook Darren's former voice like it always been there.
"No worries no worries! Now you said your name was Darren correct? That's not a very korean name is it? Why did your parents choose it?" The director gave a curious smirk.
"Oh! Well my mom has always been fascinated with american culture so she named me something american so she felt like it was always a part of her life-"
"Good. Great. Fantastic even. Just one tiny problem with that. It says on this paper here your name is 황철순..."
"Hwang Chul Soon? Like the famous bodybuilder? Oh please the fact we're the same race is more insane than anything let alone me sharing the same name as him-"
"Your name is definitely 황철순," the shades glowed again as Darren's or rather Chul's timeline was changed to fit the director's vision.
Chul's mother never had a knack for american culture. Instead it was just pure coincidence that he would share the name of famous South Korean Bodybuilder Hwang Chul Soon. Chul felt like he never deserved the name and yet he still had it.
"Apologies. I slipped up again... yes... my name is 황철순... But can we get to the dancing now? You've been asking a lot of questions-"
"It's all part of our process for a perfect korean dancer, Chul! Just a bit more now!" The director smiled
"Okay... what else do you want from me?"
"Hmm... how well do you know your korean?"
"I was born and raised there so I would say it's about as perfect as it can be..."
"Excellent! How about your english? Doing good on that front?"
"My english? Not too bad... I do fumble a bit sometimes though,"
"그래서 당신이 말하는 것은 당신이 더 이상 영어를 몰라도 괜찮다는 것입니까?" (So what you're saying is that you wouldn't mind not knowing english anymore?)
"어… 뭐?" (Uh... what?)
"당신은 더 이상 영어를 모른다," (You don't know english anymore.) The shades shining glory returned and absorbed all knowledge of the english language from Chul. Despite immigrating to America he never quite figured out the language so he stayed in mostly korean immigrant areas leading to this korean dance company.
"...더 이상? 그래 내가 영어를 전혀 못하잖아..." (…Anymore? Well yeah I don't speak english like at all…)
"좋아요! 스타가 될 순수한 한국인!" (That's right! A pure korean that will be a star!) The director was being especially loud this time.
"어… 그래? 난 널 위해 한 번도 춤을 춰본 적 없어-" (Uh… yea I guess? I haven't even danced once for you-)
"나는 당신의 조급함을 이해합니다 하지만 여기서 거의 끝났습니다. 조금만 기다려줘 알았지? (I understand your impatience but we're almost done here. Just wait a bit for me okay?) The director gave a look that gave Chul chills in his spine.
"자, 당신의 체격을 떻게 설명하시겠습니까?" (Now, how would you describe your physique?)
"오, 별거 아니에요 선생님… 저는 평생 체육관에 가본 적이 없어요. 황철순 같은 사람과 이름을 공유하는 것조차 의욕이 없었어요-" (Oh, it's not much sir… I've never been to the gym all my life. Even sharing a name with someone like Hwang Chul Soon I've just never been motivated to-)
"무의미한 말! 당신은 신의 체격을 가지고 있습니다! 누구나 당신이 되고 싶어할 것입니다!" (Nonsense! you have the physique of the gods! Anyone would want to be you!)
"부럽긴한데 근육이 거의없어서..." (I'm flattered but I barely have any muscle… ) Chul twiddled his thumbs in shame
"나한테 거짓말 할 필요 없어 철. 카리스마처럼 근육이 엄청나다!" (You don't need to lie to me Chul. your muscles are huge just like your charisma!)
"선생님… 저는 그 둘 다 가지고 있지 않습니다-" (Sir... I have neither of those-)
"신의 근육과 고기 가득한 근육과 HIGH 카리스마," (You have the muscles of gods and the pecs full of meat and HIGH charisma.) The shades shone like never before as Chul began to pack on muscle at an alarming rate.
First there was the massive biceps, then the faint appearance of a sixpack with Chul's back widening soon as his neck become thicker and his adam's apple more prominent. The star of his upper half began to show itself as his flat rack became massive chunks of meat that could rival the most gifted of women. Chul got a bit taller as his swishy pants rode up exposing the thicker legs that he just obtained. A smirk overcame Chul as his hairstyle become much more suave and he threw his lousy shirt side exposing his new muscle body and charisma.
"알아차리셨다니 다행입니다! 이제 충분히 말하고 더 춤추세요!" (So glad you noticed! Now enough talking and more DANCING!) Chul's new charisma immediately showed itself as Chul began to show his moves.
Tumblr media
"내가 찾고 있는 바로 그 철! 나를 위해 밈 댄스를 해주세요!" (That's the Chul I'm looking for! Do a memey dance for me!) Chul nodded and began his routine.
Tumblr media
"그리고…. 플렉스!" (And... Flex!) Chul walked up to the stage and flexed to the director.
Tumblr media
"잘했어 철! 당신은 당신의 분대에 완벽합니다. 당신은 내일 시작합니다." (Great job Chul! You're perfect for your squad. You start tomorrow.) The director stood up and clapped.
"이런 기회를 주셔서 정말 감사합니다 선생님. 내일 봐요!" (Thank you so much for this opportunity sir. See you tomorrow!) Chul waved goodbye to the director and left the building.
With no one in the room the director began to laugh manically.
"Heh... another transformation complete I almost surprise myself with my power. I'm going to have the greatest bodybuilding dance group known to HUMANITY!" The director laughed even harder.
"Poor ol' Darren..." The director pulled up a picture of Chul or rather Darren.
"He doesn't know anything... how much happier he is now."

☆ pairing(s): jungkook x olivia.

☆ word count: 1.32k.
☆☆☆☆☆☆
Once I was able to collect myself off of the floor, I walked over to where my clothes were laid out and started to get ready for lunch. I couldn't for the life of me get Jungkook out of my mind and never would have imagined in a million years that I could be lucky enough to meet any of the members in person, let alone my bias.
As I continued to replay the events from earlier throughout my head, I heard Lacie unlocking the door and coming back into the room. She leaned on the door frame of the bathroom smiling. "Hey babe, you ready to roll?"
"Yes, I just finished my makeup. How do I look?" I spun around waiting, for her to give a yay or nay about my appearance.
"You always look so damn cute and I am obsessed with your whole outfit."
I smiled and thanked her.
.
.
.
After making sure we have our wallets, phones, and keys for the room, we made our way down the hallway and towards the elevators. Once it showed up and the doors opened, I heard her gasp. As I looked up from my phone, I was met with 2 of the most handsome men staring back at us, one of them being Jungkook and the other was Hobi.
"Are you ladies going down too?" Hobi asked in his best English accent. We nodded our heads and as we entered, Lacie clung onto my arm for dear life.
As soon as the doors shut, I had a strange feeling that someone was staring at me. Sure enough when I glanced around, my eyes were instantly met with Jungkook's as he flashed his best smile and winked at me. I felt like I was going to spontaneous combust inside of this elevator but somehow played it cool and flirtatiously smiled back instead.
Hobi looked at us strangely before starting a conversation with him in Korean so Lacie and I couldn't understand, but the moment he gave a shocked expression and looked directly at me after Jungkook replied, I knew he was informed about the encounter between the two of us earlier.
Once we arrived to the lobby, Lacie darted out dragging me to the main entrance. We walked outside onto the sidewalk and that's when she finally turned to me with a huge smile on her face. "Liv! Do you realize who we were just in that elevator with?!"
Chuckling at her behavior, I smiled. "Well of course I know who they were! We've only been obsessed with them for 6 years, Lace."
I started to laugh nervously as she stared at me with a curious expression. "You are way too calm for someone who just had their bias, smile and wink at them in an elevator. What the hell is going on?"
I told her about the run in I had with Jungkook this morning while she was gone. By the time I was finished explaining, she looked as though she was about to explode unable to control her excitement any longer.
"Okay, you can let it out now. That was the whole story."
"OH MY GOSH! Jeon Jungkook saw you in your towel and talked to you outside of our room! You are seriously so fucking lucky and I am 100% jealous of you right now. That's amazing."
I couldn't stop laughing at her reaction. "Shhhh, keep your voice down so people won't hear you!"
"This is seriously so huge. You have to see him again before the concert."
I have never turned my head so fast in all my life, "What are you talking about? He's beyond famous. Why would he want to see me again when he literally has thousands of other girls he could easily go after."
"Liv listen, he told you that he hoped he'd see you again soon then not even 2 hours later, you see him in an elevator when he fucking winked at you. Why can't you see that he's clearly flirting with you?"
Was he flirting with me or just being nice?
Of course the thought had run through my mind, but I am a nobody. Why in the world would he waste his time flirting with me when he could have someone way better and prettier. Lacie took my silence as a hint and dropped it, noting that I didn't want to talk about it anymore right now.
She knows me well enough to know that we are going to be talking about this later, within the privacy of our room, and with champagne. "Okay babe, let's just go get some lunch and shop around the city."
As we spent several hours exploring the city, a part of me couldn't stop thinking about what she had said. Could he actually be interested in me?
.
.
.
[Jungkook's POV]
I exited the elevator making sure it was the right floor this time, and quickly made my way to Namjoon's room.
When I entered, Taehyung was the first person to speak. "Where have you been? We've been waiting for you for at least 20 minutes or longer."
The rest of them looked at me, waiting for an explanation to my tardiness. I didn't know what to say but since the question came up, I may as well talk to them about my encounter with that beautiful ARMY girl. "Well, funny story actually... I kind of went to the wrong floor."
They looked at me for a second then busted out into laughter, making jokes until they noticed I was not laughing along. "What's the matter Kook? What's going on?" Hobi always feels when my vibe is different, it's one thing I think is so special about him.
"I met an ARMY today and she is not at all like any of the others I've ever met before. She didn't bombard me with photos or have a phone shoved in my face. It was honestly so pleasant to talk with her, almost like a breath of fresh air."
That seemed to really get their attention as they looked at me curiously. "What do you mean she isn't like any of the others? What happened between you?" Namjoon asked in a semi worried tone.
Knowing there was no turning back, I spilled everything that happened earlier at her hotel room... even the towel scenario. I told them how it had made me feel and about the weird butterflies I had gotten.
"Why don't you see her again then?" Yoongi asked casually while scrolling on his phone.
Each of us turned to look at him, waiting for an explanation. "What I mean is, we are literally in Vegas. You are so young JK and I've never even heard you talk about a girl before. I don't see why you couldn't break the rules for once to go see her."
Silence filled the air but he continued, "Namjoon, what do you think about Kook's dilemma? If she signed an NDA and he feels like he can trust her, do you think there would be any harm in allowing him to spend time with her?"
It took Namjoon a minute to process everything that was discussed between us in the past 15 minutes. He then began to text on his phone for what seemed like ages, until he locked it and turned to me. "So, I have discussed this situation with the managers, and they said that if she agrees to sign an NDA, then there should be no harm in you seeing her. There will be a few ground rules that will need to be covered for the both of you that she will need to be present for, but other than that they don't see much of a problem with it."
I have never felt more happy.
All I had to do now is talk to her again and find an opportunity to bring up the NDA. The doubts were obviously there that she wouldn't agree, but I shoved them to the back of my mind. I refuse to talk myself out of it because there is no harm in hanging out and getting to know her better.

The most random out-of-order Nimona headcanons I've scrambled out of my mind and put in my notes as coherent as I could bc there's a LOTTTT
• I don't think Nimona uses specific names to label her sexuality/gender. Was she in love with Gloreth? Maybe she was. Maybe she was not. Does she like boys? Who knows, she sure doesn't. What's her gender? Nimona. That's it
• I think Ballister did try to be the cis ally™ and figure out the label Nimona would use but she'd just shrug her shoulders and say "I don't know, boss, it seems like you care about it more than I do"
• And even though she's NOT a girl, she uses she/her pronouns because 💥YOUR PRONOUNS DON'T DEFINE YOUR GENDER💥 you may use she/her and not be a girl, he/him and not be a boy, I even saw cis people use they/them simply bc they're comfortable. And that's okay!
• Although she's comfortable with people calling her he/they/neopronouns you name it. Just. Not it/its. You know the reasons😬
• Nimona is left-handed and it's CANON actually I am SO HAPPY as a left-handed person she's just like me fr💥💥
• Nimona isn't a big fan of domestic bliss Ambrosius and Ballister spend most of their time in (plus they're very sappy and very much disgustingly in love, Nimona's stoic organism can't handle their mushiness for the dear life), she's like an independent cat I think: comes to hang out, eats, spends time with her father-not-really figures and goes away for weeks only to come back again. She travels the world my dudes✨
• I think she has a bunch of photos from the places she'd been to and talks about her adventures a lot!
• Nimona also is the best cook of the fam I'm afraid. Ballister cooks, like, the bare minimum to serve himself as a functioning adult (rice, salad, pasta, some meat like you know the deal) but nothing too complicated. Ambrosius is a nepo baby who's probably lived in palaces and mansions with dozens of servants do you really think he's good at cooking😭 as he distanced himself from the Institute and moved in with Bal I think he learnt to cook, still not great at it.
• Nimona though? SHE CAN DO *ANYTHING* like she's madly good at cooking. It might look like she's burning the kitchen down only to reveal that she was putting Gordon Ramsay to shame!
Speaking of BallBros
• Ballister's experience is close to a second gen immigrant. Ambrosius's experience is close to a third gen immigrant. They can't be immigrants bc of the context of the story?? I DON'T CARE☺
• Ambrosius doesn't speak his mother tongue except for like a few words or phrases he's heard at home. His older relatives probably make fun of him for it on family gatherings. His parents didn't teach him because they didn't want him to stick out (totally not self projecting here - yeah I'm a third gen immigrant hiii)
• Ballister tho? I think Urdu was his first language but he learned English along the way
• And it kinda mixes in his head so he forgets the words from both languages sometimes and replaces them with the word from the other one (HA my experience again)
• When he's experiencing hard emotions, be it anger, happiness, sadness, or is overwhelmed, he drops English entirely and just starts bantering in Urdu
• Ambrosius didn't know Ballister was bilingual but when he learnt it? He was amazed and I think... Kinda jealous because he didn't get to learn Korean himself (self projection yeahhhhhh)
• "You know your mother tongue? Damn! I wish I did too!"
• That said, Ballister has no idea how to shorten Ambrosius's name (WHAT THE HECK IS THIS NAME BRO WHAT ARE YOU, GOD'S FOOD???), so he sticks to Urdu endearments, "luv" (in the most British accent possible) and "darling"
People who say French/Spanish are the romantic languages are wrong LISTEN TO URDU OR INDIAN LANGUAGES OR ARABIC. THAT'S WHERE LOVE IS DUDE
• Ambrosius has learnt like a few words in Urdu and tries to rizz up Ballister by saying some basic words like "jaan", "mohabbat" and just😭😭😭 fails😭😭😭 because he's a cringefail man😭😭😭
I remember trying to ask out my (NOW EX😔) gf who's Italian by writing "will you be my girlfriend?" in Italian and I used GOOGLE TRANSLATION🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️ SHE UNDERSTOOD THAT I USED GOOGLE AND POINTED IT OUT AS A JOKE BUT I CRINGED AT MYSELF SO HARD..... Ambrosius would totally do that too and Ballister would chuckle and pull him in a kiss bc he loves this cringefail man so much
• Ambrosius also serenades like I KNOW DAMN WELL HE DOES. He goes "this one's for you, Bal" with a wink and sings like the sappiest most disgusting love ballad ever and Ballister tries his best not to laugh because that's his beloved boyfriend but also like.... So cringe. So embarrassing😭😭 Nimona has more balls than her boss so she would outright say that it's cringe
• Also. I don't agree with people saying Ambrosius's a jock because have you seen this man?? He's a theatre kid. The worst kind of theatre kid. Even after not being a kid anymore he's still a theatre kid. BRO IS A HAMILTON FAN UNIRONICALLY, OF COURSE HE IS. He makes weirdass references to musicals and giggles like an idiot
• Can we agree that Ambrosius was an awakening for many teenagers because OOOOH BOY he sure would be mine. Some pop news youtube channel probably has a video of him reading the kingdom's equivalent of "thirst tweets", like yknow this type of vids😭😭
While we're on the topic of thirst tweets
• Diego the squire runs a fan page account with edits of Ballister like he's some pop celebrity
• He also may or may not write self-indulgent "Ballister x reader" fanfiction in his off duty time
• Also hc that when Ballister was on the run he saw some "WANTED" poster of him and hang up on the wall like yeah boy's crush is EMBARRASSING (can we blame him? I'm the same with Riz Ahmed)
• Todd would be on the "straight" side of their equivalent to TikTok. You know the ones with shirtless men with the same haircuts who think they're hot when in reality they're not?? That's what Todd and his friends are up to in their free time *throws up*
To wrap it all up NOT with Todd, some super random ones:
• Ballister and Ambrosius force Nimona to take her shoes off ("DO NOT bring your European nonsense in this ethnic household") in their house even though she doesn't even have boots on😭😭 it's just her skin😭😭😭 so she morphs her form to simply be shoeless😭😭😭😭
• Ambrosius knows how to tap dance. Idk don't question it I just think he does
• Nimona plays piano YEAH SHE DOES she's lived for 1000+ years man she can do anything
• Ballister's hair routine is "genetics, coconut oil n some prayers"
Yeah that's it I'll probably make a part 2 because it's not all... These characters have occupied my mind and won't let it go🧍‍♂️

— APRIL ‘22
AS THE CEREMONY ended and attendees began to clear out of the isles, Jake and Ni-ki were some of the first to exit. Having to wait for the bride and groom, Ni-ki noticed how the older of the two had begun to act rather weird since the start of the ceremony.
"Hyung, what's wrong?" The boy finally asks, brows frowning as Jake was practically jumping in his spot to look around the crowd of people.
"Nothing," Jake replies shortly but that doesn't stop him from turning his head at every passing bystander. Blinking, Ni-ki chooses against questioning it further and instead pulls out his phone to scroll through it.
After a few minutes passing, clapping began to erupt from the crowd of people. Turning to the door, Jake's eyes fell upon pairs of the groomsmen and bridesmaids walking out. Soon enough, Jungwon was spotted, something that Ni-ki pointed out followed by Jay.
But that wasn't what Jake was focused on. He was focused on the girl that Jay was linked arms with, your bright smile as you looked around the crowd and the bouquet of flowers delicately held within your hands. This time, he was able to get a good look at you up close and he felt his heart speed up, his stomach doing flips while involuntarily, his tongue poked at his cheek.
Knowing better than to walk up to you on impulse and let the word vomit he's held in for the past few years explode from his lips, Jake shook his head as his eyes flickered down to the ground. So it is really you.
               "AY, WHY ARE you being weird?" Ni-ki spoke, his comment directly to the faux blond who was staring out the window silently.
Looking up from his phone, Jay glances from the youngest to his fellow '02 who hadn't heard him. "What're you talking about Ni-ki?"
"Jake hyung, since earlier he's been all... ew," Was what the youngest replied with, not having further explanation for the other two who were confused now as well. Jungwon and Jay both glanced at one another, silently asking if the other had any idea what was going on but it was clear that neither did.
"What does being 'ew' even mean?" Jake questions, his attention being gained from the second time his name was spoken as Ni-ki shrugs.
"You know, just, weird and stuff,"
Blinking, Jungwon sits up. "How has Jake hyung been weird?"
Ni-ki shrugs once more. "He just has. It was after the ceremony thing, all of a sudden he got quiet and was all serious. He looked like he was constipated thinking about something,"
"Hey, I'm still your hyung," Jake half-scolds, rolling his eyes as the other two resist the urge to laugh at the younger's description. Holding his hands up, Ni-ki smiles innocently in apology causing the older boy to sigh. "Jungwon,"
"Hm?”
"The girl Jay was partnered with, her name is ___... right?" Jake speaks slowly, eyes flickering up to meet the younger boys gaze who knits his brows together out of confusion.
"Yes, but hyung, how do you know that?" Jungwon asks curiously, leaning forward to know more and Jake's shoulders deflate at the final confirmation.
With a small smile, he begins to dig through his pockets. "She's from America right? Born in '02 like me?" Jungwon's eyes widen further at his correct facts spoken about you, nodding along which cause both Jay and Ni-ki to curiously perk up in interest as well.
"What are you, a stalker? How do you know all that?" Jay snickers causing Jake to roll his eyes. Instead of responding, he holds open his wallet, the inside flap displaying the familiar gum wrapper that he's had inside the picture holder place for the past few years. "Eh? What does your gum wrapper that you've refused to throw away have to do with her?"
Taking it out of the protective sleeve within the wallet, Jake holds it out for one of the three to grab. "Read it,"
Jungwon took it first, carefully grabbing the corner to glance over the slightly smudged writing but he scrunches up his nose seeing as it's scribbled in English. Same with Ni-ki, that sat beside him, who was barely able to get out three words within the writing.
Handing the note to Jay, he quickly glanced over the words before turning to Jake with a raised brow. "You're telling me that this is from her?"
"I met her three days before I auditioned," Jake nods, a sheepish smile falling upon his lips at the thought. Glancing at him and back at the note, Jay shakes his head in disbelief causing the younger two boys to groan.
"Hyung what does it say?"
"Tell us!"
Gesturing for the two to calm down, Jay cleared his throat. "Thank you for keeping me company. I hope everything you wish for comes true. Have faith in yourself, I believe in you! P.S. Don't stress, everything will work out in the end. Sincerely yours, ___ (AKA your first fan),"
It fell silent within the limo. The four boys merely glancing at each other after the note was read before Ni-ki let out a snort, his laughter filling the air as he leaned onto Jungwon's shoulder for support through his giggles.
"Th-there's no w-way that girl gave y-you this note," He snickers through his laughter, the other two letting out snorts from the insult.
"Ni-ki!"
"Did she make you that heart thing you keep with it too?" Reaching over to check if the folded origami heart was in place within the wallet, Ni-ki nods to himself noting that he was right.
"Wait, hyung is that why you make hearts out of your gum wrappers?" Jungwon curiously asks, a bright smile exposing his dimple but the question caused Jake's face to begin to flush. Noticing the way the apples of his cheeks tinted pink, Jay cheered at the sight, his loud laugh causing him to fall back in his seat.
"Jake-ah! You're blushing!" Jay practically yells, fascinated at the sight considering that the past few years they've known each other, no girl had been able to get such a reaction out of him. His loudness rubbed off on the other two and soon, the three were buzzing in the back of the limo in a frenzy while Jake covered his face with his hands, throughly regretting his decision to tell them of his discovery although his smile never seemed to peel off his lips.
"You should of had Jake hyung be her substitute partner instead of Jay hyung," Ni-ki snickers, softly elbowing Jungwon's side.
"I was going to," Jungwon admits causing Jake's eyes to widen.
"Why didn't you?" Jay vocalizes for the three. Shrugging, the younger boy allows for a sheepish smile to fall upon his lips.
"He was too short for the suit,"
               "ARE YOU GOING to talk to her or are you going to stand here like a creep all night?" Jay's voice broke the silence Jake was occupied in. Blinking rapidly, the boy turned to his left to meet the other's gaze. Placing his half drank, and now slightly warm, champagne glass down on the table, Jake runs a hand over his face.
Meanwhile, across the room on the dance floor you were in the crowd of people along with Hiah, Jungwon, and Ni-ki. Jay was perviously with you but he had stepped away to get the last member of their party to convince him to join but Jake had been ambit on refusing to get anywhere near you which evidently caused you to have no idea he was even at the reception.
"I'm scared," Jake admits. Raising a brow, Jay urges for him to continue. "I mean, what if she doesn't remember me? Besides, that day was important to me and could've meant nothing to her which is understandable but for me, it meant a lot. It would be embarrassing,"
Jay's eyes visibly soften at his confession. Taking account of his words, he lightly pats the boy's back. "You won't know unless you try though, right?" He encourages. "Even if she doesn't remember, she's a nice girl. It wouldn't hurt to start over. Just, take a chance and go see what happens,"
Taking account of his words, Jake nods after a few moments. "Fine, but give me a few minutes,"
               YOU SAT AT the bar by yourself. Cradling the fruity concoction that the bartender recommended, it slowly began to melt without you having taken a sip from it. Music from the DJ still played in full swing although the night was getting later and slowly guests were starting to disperse.
Around ten minutes ago you fled from the dance floor, deeming that you needed a break from the consistent dancing and while Hiah offered to come with though you knew she was having far more fun with your newly made friends. Jungwon was someone you were already comfortable with and Jay was an extrovert, easily meshing with the dynamic. There was a third boy that was introduced, certainly younger, named Ni-ki but as soon as Hiah encouraged him to dance along with the group, he easily joined in.
You were surprised by the three's easy and fluid movements. Their rhythm meshing with each song change and Jungwon kept his promise of Jay knowing all the steps to the choreographed song at the start of the reception — something you’d have to thank them for profusely later. You had no idea how, but the three boys certainly knew how to dance, far better than the general basics that you liked to pride yourself in at least.
But your tiredness had finally seemed to weigh you down, the headaches and sleepless nights from the past few months finally catching up now that the night was coming to an end. You had accomplished what you wanted, perhaps not in the exact manner that was intended, but your mother and Myung-jun hadn't wiped the grins off their faces since they said 'I do' earlier so you presumed you did well.
And so with your eye lids fluttering, you let out a soft yawn, one hand going up to cover your mouth until you noticed someone take a seat in the barstool beside you. Refraining from an obvious reaction of distaste considering there was an abundance of open spots that didn't require the unknown figure to be seated directly to your left, you slowly collected your things, preparing to leave without sparing a glance at the unwelcomed company.
"Excuse me," A voice spoke just as you were about to stand. The English caused you to freeze, racking your brain for any of the guests who knew the language but the accent threw you off. Majority would've had a twinge of Korean shining through the words and the rest should've been American, this one sounded different from both. Turning your head, your eyes fell upon a blond, his roots showing the original brown color of his hair. The color of his iris's pooled a deep brown as well although there was a certain gleam to them, his lips capturing a nervous yet warm smile in attempt to not scare you off.
"Yes?" You reply slowly. Taking account of his features, you glance over each carefully while racking your brain due to the familiarity felt coming from the boy beside you.
Your attention was suddenly directed to his hands as he brought one up. Silver rings adorn both but shiny aluminum was seen from the dim bar light. Squinting your eyes, you lean closer in the smallest of ways as you notice the shape, realization hitting your mind and as you look back up, you’re met with the small boyish grin from three years ago.
"You wouldn't happen to know a girl who folds origami hearts like this would you? She's my first fan and I've been waiting on that drink she promised once we met again,"
"Holy shit," Was the first thing you blurt. The reaction took Jake by surprise causing him to let out a rather loud laugh, his head tilting back and eyes shutting momentarily. With your brain processing the information, you smacked a hand over your mouth. "Oh my god, oh my god. Jake? It's you? How are you even here?" Reaching out to softly poke his arm, almost as if you were testing to ensure he was there in person and not a figment of your imagination, your eyes widen further upon coming in contact with the sleeve of his suit.
Still amused by your reaction, Jake gently grabs hold of your wrist to stop you from your continuous poking at his arm. "I came with Jungwon,"
"Jungwon?" You frown your brows, turning your head to glance toward the boy who was far too engrossed in watching Hiah who was jumping around screaming the lyrics to a song notice. Meanwhile, Jay and Ni-ki stood beside the two but their eyes were trained on your duo by the bar, both holding wild smiles and Ni-ki wiggling his brows once he noticed your gazes.
Rolling his eyes at their antics, Jake clears his throat gaining your attention once more. "We debuted together, along with Jay, Ni-ki and three other guys,"
"Debuted? Like as an idol? You guys are an idol group?" You reiterate, mind beginning to spin at the new revelation. Truthfully, you never did ask what Jungwon did, you figured he was a normal student that was going to attend University and he never seemed to bring up his obviously unconventional line of work either. But thinking back, all his quirks in being so familiar with your fittings, having quite literally perfect skin, and having Jay pop up out of the blue knowing the steps needed for the ceremony in 40 minutes made sense. Not to mention the three boys were amazing dancers while just messing around, you could only imagine their actual routines. Which brings you back to Jake, the Jake in front of you who was apart of that said group as well.
"Hold on," You begin, raising a brow at the boy who tilted his head in a boyish manner. "If you came with Jungwon, why am I barely seeing you now?"
Jake falters, biting his bottom lip as he refrains from an sheepish smile. Feeling his ears heat up out of embarrassment, he looks away for a moment and lets out a small laugh. "I was nervous,"
"Nervous?" You repeat, a teasing smirk threatening to spill upon your lips. Noticing the way the blush had spread from the tips of his ears to the apples of his cheeks, you hum as Jake merely nods, still refusing to properly meet your gaze. Still holding the folded gum wrapper in one hand, you take it from his finger tips without resistance.
The origami heart itself was in good condition, the foldings nearly perfect. For three years of holding onto it, you were surprised it didn't have wear and tears. Carefully un-prying the folds, your brows knit together once you come to face blank white of the inner wrapper instead of the scribbled message you left.
"The note is in my wallet," Jake explains, seemingly noticing your confusion and getting past his embarrassment to say so. Digging into his back pocket, he fishes out the leather wallet and opens the front flap displaying where a picture or even ID should be but sure enough, your note written on a gum wrapper was in its place instead.
Flickering your gaze between the boy who stood with a proud smile and your messily scribbled writing, you clicks your tongue. By now you were seated back in the bar stool, your things placed along the counter as you lean back in the chair.
"You kept my note in your wallet this entire time?" You reiterate, gesturing a finger toward it as Jake slowly nods.
"Well, yeah? I wasn't just going to throw it away," He shrugs but shuffles upon not getting a readable reaction from you. Beginning to think it over, he feels his stomach drop as his thoughts run wild. Oh no, what if she thinks I'm a creep? This could definitely count as something a creep would do. "I-uh, please don't think I'm weird. I promise I didn't mean any harm, it's just something that helped me a lot when I was first debuting,"
You meet his gaze, noting how he was visibly worried over the fact that you could've perceived him as someone to be concerned of. But that wasn't the case, far from it. Jake was a friend of Jungwon and considering how long you’ve known the boy, you trust his judgement along with the rest of the boys in their group due to how Jay and Ni-ki have treated you as well. Furthermore, you had a rather large hunch that Jake didn't even have it in him to hurt a fly, much less you.
You were just taken aback by his thoughts of you over the years. Admittedly, his memory in your mind had begun to fade, soon just becoming a boy that was nice to you but you was something bigger in his perspective. You didn't know all the details, but what you knew was that he held your encounter on the subway as something that kept him motivated throughout his debut, which you could have only imagine how hard that was along with the pressure following of having to actually be an idol.
It was nice. Like a breath of fresh air to you that you didn't know you needed. Jake didn't understand that his genuine sentiment for your single act of kindness had filled you with warmth that washed away the pressure and stress you had been overwhelmed with over the growing days. His boyish smile and awkward demeanor made you feel like a normal teenager once more, not one that was forced to grow up too fast to keep up with the goals you held for yourself.
"I don't think you're weird Jake," You finally speak. Glancing up, you let a smile shine across your features which allowed for the atmosphere to be comfortable once more. Handing him back the origami heart he opened the conversation with at first, you both fell into a fit of giggles as your fingers grazed one another and the gum wrapper nearly fell to the ground. "I just, huh, I didn't know you were such a sentimental softie,"
Raising a brow, Jake licked his lips and let out a small laugh. "You were the first person to believe in me. So yeah, I kept it," Looking down, he ran a hand through his hair, wincing at how open and rather cheesy he'd been acting around you. When he woke up in the morning, he certainly didn't think that going to a wedding would lead him back to the subway girl he'd been longing to see at least once more.
Deciding against commenting upon the very obvious give and take of Jake's personality that he seemed to be struggling with, you refrained from a laugh. Glancing toward the dance floor, you notice your friends still in the same spot.
Softly grabbing hold of his hand, Jake returns your gaze with a wide eyed look out of surprise from the skin ship. Standing up from the bar stool, you begin to drag him with you.
"I think it's time you finally show me your dancing skills, don't you think Aussie boy?"

Happy new years everyone!!! I hope everyone had a good nesw years and if not...welp :/
Anways, I got more headcannons! :D
As I mentioned in m last hc post, these are hc I've written on my phone to send to my friend. I thought I write so much hc might as well post them. Also, Jason is Latino bc I’m Latino and I say so.
Ok, headcannon time!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Batfam Accents
Dick:
Has a Romani / European accent
It’s a bit watered-down bc of him traveling in the circus
He knew english, but it was very broken
Or it sounded broken with how heavy his accent was
He learned how to switch accent and talk proper American english after becoming Robin as a way to further mask his identity
When he’s Robin and upset, he talks in his born dialect,
but in an American accent...
Yes, it is very funny
The teen titans thought he was going craz when he code switch
“Wait, you’re not (American) White?”
“Now where the fu-”
He uses his accent when in civilian form to keep the image
Jason:
Is an immigrant from Dominican Republic,
but immigrated when he was a baby
He only knew Spanish for the first few years of his life, until his mother died
His accent is also watered-down, but it's still strong to your genric American
It works when being questioned by the police,
just pretend you don't know english
As he got older and learned more english his accent basically went away (Still there, technology, just not as stronger)
Since he's from Gotham's streets, he has a heavy Jersey/Gotham accent (If you ever heard a jersey-ian (?) talk then you know what I'm talking about)
When he met Batman, he tried to play the "No Hablo inglés"
and Bruce pulls the uno reverse card and starts throwing spanish right back at him
"Abort mission"
When he teams up with Roy, Roy find him hot when he speaks spanish
He also teaches Lian spanish bc "I'm basically raising her too, Roy. That's my child as much as she is your's, and I'm teaching her spanish, danmmit"
Tim:
The only one withot an accent,
like he has a Gotham accent, but its posh Gotham (people with these accents are rich and think their shit dont stink)
Knows Korean and Yiddish fluently
Bc Tim is haft asian (I hc him as Korean and Jewish) and rich, ofc his parents had him learn a bunch of languages
Languages such as; Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Mandarin
One time the YJ (who didn't know his identity) ran into his civilian personal at a banquet and he had to speak Korean
Yj was on a mission, however, to watch over him (much to his displeasure) and he had to pretend to only speak Korean the whole night
When frustrated and/or in pain, he switches to one of the many languages he know
"What is your ethnicity? You're fluent in too many languages"
"Human. No more questions"
Damian:
Is actually an immigrant
(At least, I believe so...corrent me if im wrong)
His accent is the heaviest out of all of them bc he grew up in the middle east for a good chunk of his life
He hides it with posh European english (how he was taught english)
Knows a lot of languages bc Talia said knowing all of them is important
He doesn't know Cantonese, Portugese, or Hawaiian
Still getting use to speaking more in english and not Arabic
Still wasn't able to properly mask his accent yet as some words are weird to pronounce.
Cassandra:
Is taking speach therapy so she also doesn't really have an accent
She just speaks broken english bc she's getting used to talking
Talks very softly
Uses ASL mostly as it is an easier wa to communicate
Slowly gaining a Canadian accent bc her speech instructor is from Canada
Duke:
Like jason, also has a Gotham/Jersey accent
Grew up in regular gotham streets, unlike Tim, so it's more slang words
The "Blaccent"
Is very heavy, like he cant turn it off
which is fine bc he's a gotham base vigilante
Teaches Damian Jersey slang
Bonce!!!!
Bruce also has a posh Jersey accent that Tim as bc all rich and high society do
and Alfred is obviously british
141 Language Headcanons
I imagine that all of them are bilingual to an extent.
Price
Besides English, he knows Arabic, Russian, French, and German and is currently working on Spanish.
He wants to learn Mandarin at some point but doesn't have the time.
Has on occasion thrown a random non-English word into debriefs and normal conversations.
He's awful at accents and can never hide the fact that he's English
Gaz
Like Price, he knows Arabic.
He also knows Farsi.
He took French in school and only kept it up to flirt.
Memorizes poems in all languages also just to flirt.
Nic is teaching him how to curse and insult people in Russian.
Ghost
He actually knows the most languages out of the whole task force. He has a lot of free time.
He also took French in school but he hasn't used it in years.
Fluent in Russian, Arabic, Mandarin, German, British Sign Language, Korean, Hindi, and Spanish (iykyk)
He learns new ones for fun. He also just likes listening to other people's conversations, not in a creepy way, just in a people watching way.
Soap
Knows the least amount of languages but is trying
Can read Latin (Catholic School Boy)
Conversationally fluent in Arabic and now Spanish (he's been working really hard on it)
Wants to learn British Sign Language and practices with Ghost during downtime. Has recently convinced Gaz to also learn
He knows some words in Scots Gaelic but isn't fluent. He wants to get better so he can teach his kids.
horangi headcanon list
as written by a native korean
he didn't choose his own name. horangi is like saying kitty instead of cat. it’s a cutesy word and he is a grown man. he tried to suggest the other word for tiger and halfway through realized he was asking to be called bum (i’m not kidding. that’s the other word for tiger in korean.) and had to drop it entirely.
two weeks later he finds out about the other other word for tiger; san-gun, meaning king of the mountain. he will kick his blanket in the middle of the night for years about the missed opportunity.
he gambled over sports online
the most logical way i see a gambling addiction over sports happening in the 2010s is through online gambling websites. these things are so goddamn accessible, it’s an actual problem.
he may have tried to google webtoon episodes (which is not a nerd thing- non-fandom type people also read webtoons on the reg) and have been led to a webtoon pirating website, upon which there were illegal gambling website ads. after that it’s all downhill.
his family’s upper middle class or even more affluent; enough to send him to an english speaking kindergarden as a young child
i’ve listened to the voicelines and he’s got a bit of an accent but is still fluent. fluent enough to be employed by kortac, even.
he definitely spent a lot of time learning english and that’s easier if you’re richer. you can be fluent in english without your family having paid for an english speaking kindergarden, but it’s definitely easier
it’s also funnier because i also headcanon that
his family didn’t pay off his debt on purpose
it’s a bit of a “you’ve got to learn to stand up for yourself, pay your own way in life” thing. they can protect themselves from the debt collectors just fine, it’s just that they’re not paying for his debts.
with a gambling addiction you’re really not supposed to give them money directly or pay off their debts. you’re just not supposed to.
his family can pay off his debts and be no less worse for it but they’re just not doing it. it’s really a lot funnier that way
more in part 2 because this got long
also here’s a list of korean curse words and other useful phrases so that google translate doesn’t fuck you
also also if you use any of these anywhere my god i want to see it please message or ask or @ me. do it.
RPWP let's go! To be honest, I didn't know the album dropped today. I thought Lost was another pre-release and that the album would drop in June, but I think that's NJs new album?
Anyway, I watched the Lost MV after waking up and was kind of disappointed. Namjoon's always a mixed bag (except in collabs). I don't understand his way of writing and expressing himself, and find it quite indigestible and dense; his English rap is very slurred most of the time too. Yes, he's incredibly intelligent, can write amazing lyrics, and his Korean rap can be insane, but a lot of the times I can't enjoy his songs. I tend to like his features more (he has some amazing ones, like Change, Sexy Nukim and Don't).
Hours later, I'm back from work and have listened to his album:
Right People, Wrong Place: Nice intro, but immediately his English accent and the way he sings in English is off-putting. The track is also very alternative and indie, which are genres I don't vibe with.
Nuts: Very interesting song... The way he's rapping in the beginning is a bit... it doesn't work super well. I loved the outro though - that part was cool. Overall, it's a good song. People went fucking crazy over the "she's a pro-rider", and also "he's a pro-rider", but I'm not sure this is Namjoon being a "bisexual king"; it's like the relationship from the guy's pov, which is why he says "no woman could stop him" and not "no man [RM] could stop him". But it's still a possible interpretation. I just see too many Armys taking everything he said literally and filling in the blanks with assumptions, creating their own narrative which is quickly being spread as the truth. People are saying RM cut his hair, started working out and deleted his IG pics because of a breakup and that he then got into situationships. I mean, this would be a normal thing to do but those could all be isolated events. You don't know if he cut his hair over a breakup?... Like, Army wants BTS relationship drama so much they act like they know everything. I admit I'm not a normal 20 year old, so who knows? I also wasn't keeping up with his Weverse lives.
out of love: Well, this whole album is very Sundance coming of age movie about a "cool yet lost guy in his 20s who goes to bars, drinks, smokes with this friends while contemplating his existence" which couldn't be further from my vibe. I hate indie music because it's slow, lethargic, whimsical, loose, and I'm neurotic, high-strung, literal, and uptight. I can't vibe with indie; I can't relate to normal 20 years old who smoke weed at parties. That's really nothing special, but to me it's a whole different universe. I have no friends or a life. I can't relate to Namjoon at all... Anyway, him saying "bitches" is not cool. I see Army praising him for hitting back at those who criticize idols for smoking, but, no man - unless he's explicitly queer and saying it and a fun manner, maybe, can use the word "bitch" imo. I fucking hate that word. I also felt like Namjoon was trying to copy black rappers in this song, but I'm probably too white to comment. Can't say I enjoyed the track. I feel really basic, but I'm too straight-laced, boring white girl to appreciate this album, sorry.
Domodachi: Eh... I was expecting the woman to be an amazing rapper, since I saw Army hype her up, but she's... alright? Lyrically, she's pretty basic - in this track at least. Also, it's so weird listening to Brits rap lmao. There's no translation of this track yet, so I don't really know the lyrics.
? (Interlude): I like classical music (won't include XXI classical music in this statement, which I know nothing about and is a lot different from what we traditionally think of as classical music), but I don't like jazz that much in general... Both are considered "intelectual music", but jazz isn't for me... I like structure and a certain repetitiveness in music. Improvisation is just confusing to me and, like, I'm so type A, I just can't vibe with it.
Groin: Joon's cursing is a bit too much in this album. The way he curses is a bit... aggressive?, yet at the same time giving Jungkook in Seven vibes. I guess that's the point. We have "bitch" here again. It's pretty disappointing... I thought he'd learned better. I read the lyrics translation from an account on X and on Genius, and they were quite different... The first was very anti establishment, the second less so. "Not a fucking diplomat" is great though. But I hate the chorus... "Get your ass out the trunk?"...
Heaven: Didn't particularly stand out. This song also doesn't have a translation yet (or I couldn't find one. It's been hours though. If this was an ot7, maknae line, or Yoongi track, 100% sure there would be multiple translations already).
LOST!: The woman singing in the beginning sounds so familiar... The song has a fun rhythm, and of all the RPWP tracks (aside from Come Back to Me), it's the easiest listening song. It actually represents the album very well, unlike Come Back to Me which is a clear outlier (feel kind of deceived, really) and easily the most GP friendly track (hence it being the pre-release). The song is fun but the English lyrics are just bad. The album's full of poorly written English lyrics. I guess it's on purpose? Don't like it, don't get it.
Around the world in a day: Another count for "bitch". The song's okay, butthe lyrics are... Honestly, it feels like the whole album is just vibes. What is he even saying? Heartbreak, anger, etc., but in terms of message, it's very repetitive. It's all so vague too? Don't know what he means because I like things spelled out to me - maybe that's my bad.
Credit Roll: Well, no use commenting haha.
Come Back to Me is the only relatable and truly enjoyable track to me. Sorry, I don't know how to appreciate this album and can't stand a lot of the English. I feel like RPWP highlights everything I like least about RM as an artist... While, I didn't enjoy the album on my first listen, it's cool how experimental it is and that it sounds nothing like idol music. BTS are so diverse musically. If you play this album to anyone and tell them it's BTS, they'll be in absolute disbelief lmao.
Second listen through and review here!
