Oh! I dont usually see Grim dislike/hate. Can I ask why you don't like him? I think there's def room for improvement for him, but I cant find it in me to truely hate him since he reminds me of a character I really like. (Puppycat from Bee and Puppycat)

He's just such wasted potential.

Look I'm into flawed characters, but I don't like stagnant asshole characters that are in the majority of a media. Grim has barely improved since the start of the game.

He's rude, obnoxious, continues to actively cause you problems and throws you under the bus quite often (I mean look at the most recent Crewels SSR card– he tries to blame you for his mistakes and yet still gets you in trouble).

In every event he's the same. Be annoying, make a few dumb/rude remarks abt the culture, "I'm hungrryyy". I think in one event I've counted him talking abt food abt 35 times? Like I don't mind the trope of "monster creature loves food" but that's all he is and doesn't have half the endearing traits. He never shuts up about himself. He's so boring/generic. How is Morgana better than him

He still seldom shows affection for you. Like you barely get to semi bond when talking about his past. This was the only main scene we had to get attached to him before book 6. Seriously throughout every book he's just been overly cocky, rude, annoying, and suddenly you care only about him and not the fact that several people were kidnapped and the school was trashed and that the world is ending.

I thought he would have a huge change of heart after book 6 and his moment of him crying— which honestly didn't move me cause he didn't do anything for us to get attached to in canon. You really have to make up your own headcanons and theories to really make him "good". He's also your buddy but it seems he aknowedges as much as the rest of the cast

He didn't even have a change of heart as he immediately went back to being him. Sure there was that scene in book 7 where he says he's gonna protect you and calls out for you but it's like... cool you had several years to develop and we have maybe 4 scenes of you being an actual character and not some plot device/instigator.

The other thing too is how he is in school. He wants so badly to be a good mage and be the best in NRC but doesn't actively do anything to achieve that. He continues to never study and slack off (which fucks Yuu over cause they're 1/2 a student).

By all means, I'm not saying he can't be annoyed at what being a mage entails or a hypocrite (flaws are important). But he's been one for years and hasn't changed a bit. He still has shown very little improvement for someone who claims to sorta care about his "henchhuman" he certainly continues to impact their grades and school life. (Plus consider yuu not being from this world and all the extra effort they have to put in for a -C, its implied in the book). I wouldn't be surprised if he hurt Yuus pockets a lot too with his selfish appetite.

The main issue I have with him overall is the lack of consequences for him. He almost set everyone on fire? OK. He apparently scratched yuu very bad and that's that. No scene where you confront him about it or the rocks that he eats that you continuously warn him about. You can argue book 6 was the punishment but it didn't seem like it. He'll cause so many issues and get a slap on the wrist for it.

I think the best thing to do right now is to have Yuu snap at him so he improves. Fuck up their friendship. Make him realize he has been bad and actually have him change. A dramatic friend breakup. It would be the only way for Grim to change quickly rn with how long it's been

Have Yuu become a full student and watch him fall apart as Yuu doesn't need to rely on him and they're able to get their As in peace as Grim gets his Fs. Let them get angry. Seriously I'm so mentally ill over the concept of Yuu in general esp in game Yuu and all the ways to make them foils to characters or have them be angst fuel.

I want to like Grim. I love found family. But he just doesn't deserve that currently. He just sucks.

Do do understand why people like him. But I'm not one of them with the state he's in. I'm sorry I don't feel bad at all.

Eventually I got myself up. This couldn't go on like thus! I couldn't even bring myself to full injoyment, if you know what I mean! What a waiste of that body!

So I dressed myself and head out. I was qukte remite at that point, gotten further and further away from my flat with every night.

Nontheless I walked, all up in my head to try to make sense of all of this for once, beeing aware of that sexy guy I was in every now and then, feeling his junk brushing against my thigh in loose sweatpants, seeing his image in storefronts, browsing passengers wondering what could be possible.

But never too long those questions had to be answered. And the closer I got to my flat the more I had this feeling in my chest, that tension.

And just as I turned into the small walkway leading to the appartement building I live in, or rather lived maybe, a young guy caught my eye just wearing sneaks and shorts ehich was quite unusual.

"Ah, it's you" he suddenly said.

Me? Did I know him? Or rather, did he knoe the guy I was in.

"You wanna check your former body, dont you?"

My... what?

I stopped, looked at him in confusion and... shock.

"Don't worry. I know what you made"

I wasn't able to speak, looked at him like a squirrel cornered bye a cat.

"What I..." I stuttered.

"You switched bodies. From what I can tell it was probably your first time"

I gulped

"Isn't the best idea to walk in on your former self. Can cause quite the trouble. I guess you have no idea what id happening despite using the elixier. The instructions aren't especially extensive on that. On much of all of that as you might have noticed"

Slowly I got a bit down "I..." I started, feeling dumb for not having read a whole lot of it all besides the descriptions of what to do.

"You didn't read it at all, did you?"

I nodded

"Don't worry. It wouldn't have made all that difference."

Bit bye bit I really felt relieved to have found him. Although I didn't know at all what he was about even to have someone that knew anything about made me feel a bit of relieve. No matter what he knew or whom he even was, at the very least I wasn't alone with my questions and it seemed pretty suree that he would andwer some of them.

"Wanna take a walk?"

Day one:

While Ford was traveling the multiverse, he encountered an alternate version of Earth, right? Similar in many ways except for minor changes. (well, major for Ford and Fiddleford and some other individual people, but in general, the earth itself and most peoples lives is likely much the same in that instutute alt dimension)

What if Ford found an alternate of Euclidea?

And I dont mean Flatland, which he saw in Journal 3. I imagine theres many types of 2d dimensions, just like there are 3d ones. I mean an alternate dimension of Bill's world specifically, where an alternate version of Bill exists. I'm sure I'm not the first one to think about this, but it's just such a fascinating concept to me, so I'm gonna ramble for a bit under the cut!

Bill would be there, snarky but not evil, and the only one able to really see Ford. The other Euclidians can see his shadow or where his feet are, or something, but not all of him. And Ford would have to really mentally separate this Bill and the Bill he knows because at a glance, they're identical.

Except this Bill didn't murder entire species or torment anyone's dreams, (yet?) So Ford doesn't know what to think of him. I suppose this Bill decided that showing his world the 3rd plane wasn't worth his time, or something. Maybe he's still working up the courage to.

Ford would be shocked, maybe even react badly when he sees Bill at first. But then I could see Ford not being able to help himself and his curiosity, giving in quickly and talking to this Bill. And this Bill, he would be less cruel and insane, but a lot more sad and apathetic, as he never got to show anyone what he can see, and just lives with being different.

I feel like this Bill and Ford could become friendly pretty fast - Bill would be so lonely, and Ford would be the first person he meets that acknowledges what he sees, validates his mutation. He would listen to Ford speak about the multiverse in way that isn't dissimilar to how Ford would listen to Bill when he first came in his dreams... but less manipulative. Ford doesn't have a purpose for this Bill to manipulate him for - this Bill doesn't know anything useful - which brings Ford to question his own Bill's past.

How did that cursed triangle get all of his powers, when this Bill has almost none? Ford still believes that another monster destroyed Euclidia, as his Bill told him, and doesn't know whether to tell this Bill or not.

But the more he talks to this Bill, which he has dubbed in his head as Nice Bill (despite the attitude he still has), the more he grows to kinda like him. As in, Ford feels guilty leaving without warning him about the danger. After all, this Bill clings to his every word and has treated him with respect, or at least awe. It's very conflicting for Ford - does he move on, continue his journey, leaving this 2D world behind to potential ruin? Would a warning even matter? Should he stay a little longer and lend a hand? He doesn't even have a clue what 'monster' they'd be looking for. And what does he owe any Bill, anyway!?

At this point, he's been in this Euclidia for a couple of days. He's too large to stay in this dimension's hotels or anything, all the other shapes can't see anything except his shadow. Nice Bill was the one to tell Ford on his first day that he needed to keep his real form a secret, since this society outlawed talk of the 3rd dimension. So hes laying on the ground somewhere outside the city at nights. Not the best sleeping arrangement hes had, but certainly not the worst. Despite that, Ford cannot sleep, plagued with indecision.

In the wee hours of the morning, right before he dozes off for a short rest, he makes his choice: In the morning, Ford will tell Bill about the monster.

Teen Roy Harper and Oliver Queen shenanigans? I usually just see grown up Roy with Ollie but I crave more of a father - son bond.

ty for sending through the ask! they send me fucking INSANE!!! i love complex parent-child relationships and i think a lot of people see roy’s speedy era with ollie as just. all bad. but it isn’t! ollie is a good dad overall, yes he has had horrible moments and made lots of mistakes but he did work hard to fix his wrongs (n-52 ollie and roy's first re-meeting can go suck my left tit).

(sorry i took so long to respond! these posts actually take quite a while to type out, and get my thoughts down.)

the first time roy got sick while he was with ollie, ollie was stressing. he’s not ready for this! stitches? easy. girl troubles? no problem. but a fever and runny nose? oh god oh fuck. he’s relying on what he’s seen parents do in movies, so he decides to read roy a story! roy is certainly too old for this and also Doesn’t Love reading, but he bears it because it’s kinda funny for a bit. after like third time ollie tries, roy just goes “pls. you don’t have to do this. lets just watch a movie or something.”. now it becomes a tradition that whenever one of them gets sick, the other will just chill and watch movies with them. they don’t need to talk, the quiet company is much better.

roy genuinely looks up to ollie, so much. he admires the man in everyway, roy grows as a person in ollie's presence. roy developed his sense of justice and ethics from ollie (you can see it through how they both prefer to try and change the system over the individual). i think for the longest time, ollie could do no wrong in roys eyes, which is why their relationship fell apart so harshly because roy had unrealistic expectations of the man and ollie wss just... Not being a good father in this moment. it took a while to adjust his self worth to not be based off his perceived value to others.

ollie may be a lot of things, but he is Not dumb enough to not give roy the sex talk. is it the best? probably not. but he was VERY serious about having it when roy moved in, because he remembers himself as a teenager and is just like "oh god. oh GOD..." (he likes to think hes not like regina georges mum, but he deffo is.... ur getting old dude :/ sorry to tell you)

when ollie first starts going out with someone, roy goes and gives ollie the exact same talk. in front of his date. ollie is just like "ahaha.... kids right?" roy has to spend the night at hal's house hiding out from him. (not out of any serious fear of repercussion, more playful).

i know the stereotype is that ollie's always getting into fights over politics, but it is actually so incredibly both of them. these two only increase in energy and passion when with each other. catch ollie going "YEAH THATS MY BOY!" when roy is chewing the fuck out of someone.

to me? they are both so autistic... idc no one can convince me otherwise. ollie doesn't realise till he hits his late teens, and even then hes in denial about it. he comes to terms with it a bit better after the island, so when he starts to recognise the same things in roy? he is quick to give that boy all the support he needs. he refuses to even let anyone talk shit or about it near roy, because he is so petrified of the the same internalised ableism he had manifesting in roy too.

ollie gets a small tattoo for roy, nothing big. probably just a little one on his back or ankle or something. he didn't even really plan to do it? it just happened. he sends roy a pic after its done and roy is just. emotionally wrecked.... he does not know what to say.... how does he even express what this means to him? its a permanent commitment to him. (he ends up just messaging back "looks ugly :/", ollie can read between the lines well enough to know what he means).

the first near death experience roy has with ollie he gets Fucked Up over it... he's already lost 2 other father figures, he can't lose another. he doesn't say anything about it, but hes attatched to the hip for ollie for at least 2 weeks... ollie didnt even realise why till he mentioned it off handedly to diana and shes like.... thats a child. hes scared. Fix It. they still dont talk about it, but ollie stops getting snappy at roy for following him around.
