some people in this fandom are going to be really disappointed when winds of winter comes out.

you guys. you cannot treat the POV characters as stepping stones for other characters/other POV characters.

the POV characters must have a fitting end according to their character arcs, themes, foreshadowing, etc.

to clarify, the POV characters chapters are about THEM. their storylines are about THEIR journey. you cannot use their hundreds of pages of character development as a brick to build the castle your fav will live in.

this is especially true for the key 5 and for the other younger POV characters. their endings have everything to do with them, they do not revolve around your fav.

us readers out-of-universe reasons for wanting x or y characters deaths does not matter. what actually matters is if you can support your theories with textual evidence from the chapters of the POV character that you want dead.

Pulled from videos I put on my Instagram, but they're better together.

Went to clean my car and found I had a stowaway. Little dude was hiding under my passenger seat and would have almost certainly gotten vacuumed up if it had not come out swinging (I think. I don't know mantid behavior too well, but it was jabbing with its foremost legs, so that seems like an attack to me).

I was able to get the mantis onto a Gatorade bottle and out of my way while I cleaned. I was hoping it would leave in the meantime so I didn't have to deal with a tiny animal who was probably just as confused as I was on how it got there. But nope! Dude stuck around and listened to the honky tonk music the car wash was playing, or at least it seemed to be listening based on how it was swaying (note: I'm joking. I'm pretty sure it didn't care about the music. I just kept making comments to it about dancing to the tunes).

In the end, it hopped off the bottle (only after I moved it to the trash can, though I wasn't going to throw it away if it hadn't jumped off) and I got a really cool video of a praying mantis jumping.

And the frame-by-frame of that jump, because why not.

not sure when or why i gained this hc, it's just kind of been a constant in how i draw him for as long as i can remember

ok yknow what. as someone who was recently diagnosed with arfid I really wanna have a moment for all the picky eaters out there,, if ur a picky eater or just have really strong food opinions for any reason can you please tell me what’s a food that you absolutely fucking despise that will make everyone around you get weirdly offended and gasp in shock. like any really popular foods that you just cannot stand. I’ll go first I hate melty cheese and too much of it will literally make me gag!!!

hey gang. i am posting another lil poem i wrote a while back. :) i was flipping through some old material and i thought it'd be fun to put it up! uh, visceral imagery. if any of you see this consider that your warning, haha! full poem transcribed below.

"why i bite”

it isn't hunger. i clamp down, sink into muscle,  rubber band tendons  pop pop pop,  give way to bone,  to vein, to nerves. blood never unsettled me.  to submerge into that heat, i bite  so i can be warm again. 

it isn’t hunger, it’s survival. my teeth, your hands, my canine instinct.  bad dog, bad girl, bad case of lockjaw.  no key, just the taste of its metal.  like a sentient tourniquet; i hold us together with nothing but my mouth. 

it is not hunger, instead: the grip i have to get, the parts  of you i’ve yet to taste. it's love.  it’s only love.  it’s only hunger, love.  just love and warmth and love or hunger or flesh, it’s not hunger but it’s love, hunger-- just a little bit of blood and me,  with the scars i’ll leave.

been trying to get them off some oc/character playlists forever now but i cant find any good replacements for a lot of their music
